00:00:00.000 Last week, it could have been last week or a week ago.
00:00:02.340 It was last week.
00:00:03.340 It was last week.
00:00:04.020 So, Vinny, matter of fact, I'll just let you tell the story of this,
00:00:06.380 of a great story of Kirk Moore and what happened to him when he showed up to,
00:00:11.380 what do you call it, what did he show up to?
00:00:13.880 He showed up to prom.
00:00:16.460 But show the first clip first, Rob.
00:00:18.120 Go to the first one first.
00:00:19.300 Can I set it up really fast, Pat?
00:00:21.100 So just, and I love that you said that.
00:00:23.400 We always hear bad news, bad news, bad news, fighting, killing,
00:00:27.940 you know, the mother that's doing what she's doing.
00:00:29.880 This is a principal, Kirk Moore, from Pauls Valley High School.
00:00:33.420 He stopped a mass shooting.
00:00:34.740 So a 20-year-old former student named Victor Hawkins,
00:00:37.700 he walks in and he's saying he wanted to shoot up the school
00:00:40.360 like Columbine shooters did.
00:00:42.680 This guy, Kirk Moore, ran straight out.
00:00:46.060 Bro, he comes out of nowhere.
00:00:47.280 If you guys look towards the back, he comes out of nowhere,
00:00:50.000 tackles the guy, gets shot in the leg, and saves this guy from going.
00:00:54.100 He had two clips to go and shooting everybody.
00:00:55.840 He didn't do what we saw in Uvalde where those security or cops
00:00:59.480 They all ran.
00:01:00.200 They all hid.
00:01:00.660 They didn't stand the ground.
00:01:02.480 This guy acted.
00:01:03.920 Okay.
00:01:04.140 And I want, I want, I don't know how this was in the top story, but Rob, go ahead and play
00:01:07.500 the clip.
00:01:09.380 So this is the shooter coming in.
00:01:10.920 Well, there's a kid right there on the, on the right, our left.
00:01:14.160 He, the gun jams.
00:01:16.380 Wow.
00:01:16.740 And then look, principal, boom.
00:01:18.880 Oh, bam. 0.84
00:01:19.840 And then right now he gets shot. 0.78
00:01:20.820 He gets shot in the leg.
00:01:23.860 How, how crazy is that, bro?
00:01:26.460 The other kids out, stop some.
00:01:28.280 This other guy comes out.
00:01:28.880 That guy takes the gun.
00:01:29.660 Yep.
00:01:30.060 Takes the magazine out.
00:01:32.860 How crazy is that?
00:01:38.100 Look at that.
00:01:38.880 Dude, the other teacher grabs the gun. 0.93
00:01:41.980 Call the cops.
00:01:43.100 Yep, and that's it.
00:01:46.480 It's insane.
00:01:47.300 And by the way, show what happened when he showed up to prom.
00:01:49.400 This is what happened when he showed up to prom.
00:01:50.640 He showed up to prom, and guess what? 0.98
00:01:51.780 They crown him the prom king at the freaking high school. 0.98
00:01:55.840 Go play, Rob. 0.99
00:01:56.620 Kurt Morne.
00:02:03.240 Look at this guy.
00:02:04.880 Look at this guy.
00:02:05.780 Good for him.
00:02:07.420 That's a great story.
00:02:09.340 He deserves everything. 0.99
00:02:10.700 Yeah, look at this freaking stud, bro. 0.99
00:02:14.620 Dude, look how happy they are. 0.99
00:02:16.500 Saved a bunch of them.
00:02:17.500 They know it.
00:02:20.560 This guy's a gangster, bro.
00:02:23.580 Isn't that great?
00:02:24.600 I love that.
00:02:25.380 Isn't that great?
00:02:26.020 You're getting emotional just watching it like that.
00:02:28.040 This is in you.
00:02:29.160 Go ahead, Ilan.
00:02:29.840 No, it's just such a polar opposite of this is what masculinity should be.
00:02:34.500 Yes.
00:02:35.200 This is a protector.
00:02:36.960 And by the way, you watch that video.
00:02:39.160 As someone who has worked with people in stress responses, training people, all this stuff,
00:02:43.480 you never know how you will react in a high-stress situation.
00:02:46.900 To see someone take action, it's easy to watch it and say, I would do the same thing.
00:02:51.120 Nine out of ten people don't.
00:02:52.640 They freeze.
00:02:53.720 They run.
00:02:54.220 Those are the two most common reactions.
00:02:56.020 So for him to go do that, put his life on the line, the guy's a hero.
00:02:59.640 I think people like this should be nationally celebrated.
00:03:02.320 By the way, if anybody's watching this, if you're from that area
00:03:05.400 or if you know the family or if you know anything about Kirk Moore,
00:03:08.860 what he's like, what he's interested in, what his passions are,
00:03:12.400 can you menek me?
00:03:13.680 Let's find a way collectively, you and I, to do something special for him
00:03:16.660 and his family.
00:03:17.000 Oh, that's awesome.
00:03:17.660 Can you do that?
00:03:18.580 Let's do something very, very, very special for him
00:03:22.600 and turn him into a hero.
00:03:23.840 Where is he based that of?
00:03:24.780 I love this.
00:03:25.800 Oklahoma?
00:03:26.460 Kirkmore High School Valley.
00:03:27.800 Oklahoma City?
00:03:28.480 Oklahoma.
00:03:29.040 Beautiful.
00:03:29.720 If you know anything, manek me.
00:03:31.760 I want to do something special for this man.
00:03:33.920 That's awesome.
00:03:34.220 We need to recognize heroes like this.
00:03:36.440 Tom?
00:03:37.640 This is exactly, you know, we're celebrating this.
00:03:43.440 We're celebrating him, and we should, but it's just sad and it worries me.
00:03:48.960 I mean, Kim is a teacher at a really good school,
00:03:52.280 but I worry about stuff like this.
00:03:54.160 It only takes one person to kind of flip the bit.
00:03:58.460 But I celebrate this guy.
00:04:01.400 I thank you for all the training and everything that law enforcement does to schools now.
00:04:06.540 We have so many ways to protect our schools and more techniques and more devices that are on doors and procedures.
00:04:15.220 But really what it gets back to, man, we need big brothers and big sisters.
00:04:20.080 And we need Sunday school that brings faith to these people so that we can catch it early, so that they can be valuable members of society.
00:04:29.500 All the protections and everything that I'm praising protects.
00:04:32.940 But go upstream.
00:04:35.140 We've got to go all the way upstream, as I'm very fond of saying when I talk about don't build a $1 trillion filter in the pond.
00:04:43.040 Go upstream and find out what's getting into the pond and stop that.
00:04:47.720 and it's and let me tell you folks it's faith and it's and it's being willing to reach out
00:04:53.480 your community and to be a big a big brother or a big sister or to help a single mom and it did
00:04:59.980 that we need that spirit of community back in the u.s to reach out and help because you're gonna
00:05:06.540 you're gonna prevent this and not even know it yeah you'll never know the person you stopped
00:05:11.440 from doing the terrible and tell me and you make it i love that you you took it there we spend
00:05:15.660 billions besides all the fraud we spend billions of dollars protecting other countries yet our
00:05:21.280 schools and our children aren't safe every seems like every month there's a mass shooting and the
00:05:26.020 fact that heroism is the last line of defense tells you that there's something wrong with the
00:05:31.540 people in charge and their priorities are not straight bro these are the most vulnerable we
00:05:36.300 just heard how many stories about these children and they're the most not looked after like
00:05:40.560 neglected it's like bro if we could spend billions everywhere put a freaking cop put a metal detector
00:05:46.780 in the front that kid just strolled in pat if that gun was active okay and he walked into a 0.54
00:05:51.580 classroom it's a whole different story that we're hearing kirk moore god bless his soul
00:05:55.840 it's a whole different situation because he's shooting shooting shooting clip and then it's you
00:05:59.580 there is so there's something weird going on in society i saw a video i opened instagram and this
00:06:04.120 is what i'm exposed to i see a kid playing in a school yard he gets in a fight with some other
00:06:07.460 kids it's like a basketball court and the kids start punching him in the face he's 15 years old
00:06:12.060 and then one hits him in the face as he's trying to go away the other one pulls out a firearm
00:06:15.720 shoots him in the chest kills him and this is on instagram and i'm exposed to something i'm
00:06:21.600 a 44 year old man exposed there's young kids seeing this the amount of nihilism and dehumanization 0.98
00:06:26.740 that's taking place online is very scary and you talk about going upstream i think it all leads to
00:06:31.620 nihilism it leads to sorry go ahead great point and you remember the whole conversation that we
00:06:36.360 had if it bleeds it leads that was on the general news but there was a a a corridor where the
00:06:43.800 producer said listen we can't go that far now with the dissemination of social media anything can be
00:06:49.580 put out there and there's no uh selectivity to what you see out there look i'll continue to
00:06:55.460 harp on this the only way america could lose in the global stage is if we're divisive and if we're
00:07:02.720 dividing each other and we have internal decay so the whole if it bleeds it leaves there's two
00:07:07.160 stories that we just covered one this heroic teacher that's saving lives the other one i
00:07:11.520 learned a new word family side yeah not a homicide no suicide you're taking out your own family bro
00:07:18.460 so i know we're talking we shouldn't know that that we shouldn't know that word that word should
00:07:23.360 not exist that should not exist we talk about have more kids have more kids have more kids
00:07:27.240 this guy had a lot of kids so what happens when you're bringing all these kids in this world
00:07:32.400 And then you can take them out
00:07:33.620 Like my mom used to say
00:07:34.540 You know, I brought you in this world
00:07:36.020 I'll take you out of it
00:07:37.120 I never took that literally
00:07:38.860 Yeah
00:07:39.440 But it's so sad
00:07:40.600 She was pretty serious
00:07:41.400 I know
00:07:41.920 I know, I love you mom
00:07:43.760 I know, but it just shows
00:07:46.020 There's so many good stories we can focus on
00:07:48.500 Let's stop focusing on the bad
00:07:50.500 And what bleeds
00:07:51.380 That's the thing about this world though
00:07:53.820 You know, you got to talk about the good, the bad and the ugly
00:07:55.920 But we want to make sure
00:07:56.660 Again, if you know Kirk more and stuff about him
00:07:58.820 Reach out to me
00:07:59.380 I want to do something very, very, very special
00:08:02.080 for this man. I want to do something very special for this man and recognize him. That involves the
00:08:08.780 students, that involves the school, that involves the kids there. I want to do something really
00:08:12.020 special for him.
