Valuetainment - ＂You're F#cking Crazy＂ - Trump Netanyahu LEAK Exposes Power Struggle

00:00:00.000 So Axios brings out the story.

00:00:01.480 At this point, you've seen it. 0.97

00:00:02.540 So, Rob, if you want to go down so I can read the whole thing, you're effing crazy. 0.94

00:00:05.720 Trump fumes at Netanyahu in call on Lebanon.

00:00:09.620 Go a little bit lower, Rob, so I can read the whole thing.

00:00:12.200 So President Trump last said Israel over Israel escalation in Lebanon in an expletive Latin call on Monday.

00:00:18.180 Two U.S. officials and a third source briefed on the call told Axios why it matters.

00:00:22.180 Early on Monday, Iran threatened to ban on negotiations with the U.S. over Israel, saying actions in Lebanon.

00:00:26.480 On the call, Trump called Netanyahu crazy and accused him of ingratitude, according to two of the sources.

00:00:32.100 He also put the brakes on Israel's plan to strike Beirut.

00:00:35.060 Behind the scenes, one U.S. official told Bibi that the following threw on his threat to bomb Lebanese capital would further isolate Israel from around the world.

00:00:44.920 Two of the sources said Trump claimed he'd help keep Netanyahu out of jail.

00:00:49.040 He said, if it wasn't for me, you'd be in jail right there. 1.00

00:00:51.760 You're effing crazy. 1.00

00:00:52.580 You'd be in prison if it weren't for me. 1.00

00:00:54.220 I'm saving your ass. 1.00

00:00:55.660 Everybody hates you. 1.00

00:00:57.260 Everybody hates Israel because of this.

00:00:59.400 Do you think this call happened? 0.92

00:01:00.860 The call definitely happened.

00:01:02.180 But both sides are spinning it in their own ways.

00:01:04.260 And they're spinning it with the classic people.

00:01:06.200 So just background on this.

00:01:07.560 This is an Axios piece.

00:01:08.420 The author of this piece is Barak Ravid, who is an award-winning journalist,

00:01:11.740 one of the coverage co-authored by Mark Caputo, former colleague of mine at NBC News.

00:01:16.140 But Barak Ravid is famous, or should I say now infamous in media circles,

00:01:19.300 for being the guy who the White House always goes to,

00:01:22.080 to leak stuff about conversations with Israel.

00:01:24.880 Is this the guy that leaked it that Bibi got up, that Biden got upset?

00:01:28.860 Yes, same.

00:01:29.280 This is the same guy.

00:01:29.740 So he did both.

00:01:30.340 He's bipartisan.

00:01:31.160 I got it.

00:01:31.480 Whether you're Joe Biden.

00:01:32.340 Who's the fair guy?

00:01:32.840 Well, it's not about being fair.

00:01:34.340 It's the point is that whoever's in the White House, they know that this is the guy who does the stories about split between Israel and America.

00:01:41.060 So we've had about a dozen, two dozen of these stories over the last three years.

00:01:43.820 Is this the guy you trust?

00:01:45.500 Unfortunately, no now.

00:01:46.620 It's not that I don't trust him.

00:01:47.940 I'm not saying he's making stuff up.

00:01:49.720 But I am saying he's clearly become a useful vessel

00:01:52.320 for information from the White House

00:01:54.960 that they want to get out.

00:01:55.900 They know, if you're Joe Biden or you're Donald Trump,

00:01:58.320 you know that if you want to get out

00:01:59.500 that you're pissed at Netanyahu,

00:02:00.980 Barack Ravid is the guy you go to.

00:02:02.200 Now, on the other side, you have Amit Segal,

00:02:04.040 who is one of Israel's most famous journalists,

00:02:05.720 very close to Benjamin Netanyahu.

00:02:07.520 Channel 12, I think, is his network.

00:02:09.280 This guy is now reporting today, the day we're talking,

00:02:12.360 that actually the Israeli side is saying,

00:02:14.000 no, no, Trump never swore at Netanyahu,

00:02:15.960 never mentioned jail or prison,

00:02:17.580 and they disagreed about how to handle Hezbollah

00:02:19.880 in Lebanon. So the question then

00:02:21.900 becomes for those of us who were not in the room,

00:02:24.120 who do you believe? Hmm.

00:02:25.860 Serial liar Donald Trump or serial liar 1.00

00:02:27.740 Benjamin Netanyahu? Journalists who act 1.00

00:02:29.920 as vessels for leaders on both

00:02:32.080 sides? It's very hard. This is why people have a real

00:02:34.060 issue with mainstream media right now. Because

00:02:36.020 what do you do in a situation like this where both sides

00:02:38.120 are spinning furiously? And I can believe either

00:02:40.100 version. I can believe that Trump told him you're

00:02:42.060 fucking crazy. We wouldn't put that past Donald Trump. 1.00

00:02:43.920 I can also believe that they lied to make Trump sound

00:02:46.020 stronger than he is. And now he's telling the truth.

00:02:48.040 I don't know. Okay, so

00:02:49.720 how do they typically

00:02:51.000 get the credibility? Because

00:02:53.860 anybody can say this was said. So

00:02:55.460 can you go back to the article when it says

00:02:57.660 two sources were there? What is the

00:03:00.000 you're in this world? Is there a

00:03:01.840 system or a standard to be able to, because this is

00:03:03.860 a big deal here. Yeah, yeah, it's a big deal.

00:03:05.520 I mean, look, all the traditional rules of political

00:03:07.860 journalism went out the

00:03:09.440 window when Donald Trump came along, right?

00:03:12.140 So, you know, my colleague Swin Subsang reports

00:03:13.980 on the White House for Zateo.

00:03:15.180 He has very good contacts.

00:03:16.600 And, you know, he tells me

00:03:17.460 some of the crazy stories

00:03:18.420 he gets from behind the scenes

00:03:19.300 in terms of people

00:03:20.180 trying to screw each other over, right?

00:03:21.900 In the Trump administration,

00:03:23.200 there's a very unique dynamic.

00:03:25.060 And, you know, he's referred to

00:03:26.920 as a reservoir dogs dynamic.

00:03:28.480 It's been referred to

00:03:29.000 where everyone's got a gun

00:03:30.140 to each other's head

00:03:30.820 at the same time, right?

00:03:32.100 So they're all trying

00:03:32.640 to screw each other over.

00:03:33.280 So that's another issue

00:03:33.880 is are two of the sources

00:03:35.000 people who are allied

00:03:35.940 with each other?

00:03:36.560 Are they from different wings

00:03:37.460 of the White House?

00:03:38.120 You know, Pat, with this Iran war,

00:03:40.440 there are different elements

00:03:41.280 in this administration.

00:03:41.960 Some people want the war done, finished.

00:03:43.620 Some people want it to keep going.

00:03:45.080 So there's different pressures on Trump.

00:03:46.180 This is not a 100%, 80% story.

00:03:48.920 No.

00:03:49.420 So there's different people leaking for different agendas

00:03:51.540 to try and end a war or escalate a war.

00:03:53.660 Give me how this makes Trump look good.

00:03:55.860 How does it make it look bad?

00:03:57.360 Who's winning with the story?

00:03:58.680 Who's not?

00:03:59.500 So Trump, you know the MAGA base better than me.

00:04:02.840 Many of them are your viewers.

00:04:03.860 Many people in the MAGA base.

00:04:04.860 Not as many as people suggest.

00:04:06.760 My good friend, Cenk Uge, I know you've had on the show.

00:04:08.820 He thinks there's a big split in MAGA.

00:04:10.440 I'm less of that view.

00:04:11.880 I look at the polls, 80% of MAGA still loves Trump, 70% love this war, but there is a growing

00:04:17.040 minority who don't like what's going on with the foreign wars, with the betrayal of anti-war

00:04:21.420 promises, and a lot of them see Donald Trump as being, you know, I can't come up with a better 0.96

00:04:27.580 phrase than Netanyahu's bitch, and this would help Donald Trump say, look, I'm telling Benjamin 1.00

00:04:33.360 Netanyahu, fuck you, you're fucking crazy, I saved you from prison, I'm the dominant partner in this 1.00

00:04:38.280 relationship. And by the way, this is not just a Trump issue. Every American president who's dealt 1.00

00:04:41.780 with Netanyahu has come out getting screwed over. Joe Biden got completely screwed over. He gave his 0.97

00:04:46.160 entire presidency to save Netanyahu. Look at him today. Destroyed. Bill Clinton in the 90s came out

00:04:51.600 of a conversation with Netanyahu. You know what he said to his team? He said, who's the fucking

00:04:54.560 superpower here? He was so pissed that he got talked down to by Benjamin Netanyahu. So American 1.00

00:04:59.080 presidents have been dealing with Bibi for many years and they've always tried to assert their 0.50

00:05:02.060 dominance and many of them have failed to do so. So I think for Donald Trump, it's good if people 0.76

00:05:06.280 believe it. The problem is, those of us who know that Axios

00:05:08.500 reporting on this, we're very, very skeptical.

00:05:10.020 So let me ask you this. If you're Trump's advisor,

00:05:12.580 which you're not, but let's just say if you were Trump's

00:05:14.260 advisor, and Trump hears 0.93

00:05:16.220 you, and he says, screw this guy. 0.94

00:05:18.620 That call did happen. That's exactly 0.97

00:05:20.300 what I told him. What does he need

00:05:22.360 to do publicly for even a guy 1.00

00:05:24.260 like you to say, shit, this happened? That's a great question 1.00

00:05:26.420 because Donald Trump's word means nothing to me.

00:05:28.420 I've been documenting his lies for many years.

00:05:30.360 No one's told more lies than Donald Trump in the public sphere.

00:05:32.860 So actions matter more than

00:05:34.280 words. Same issue with Biden. His people would

00:05:36.120 Ali, Biden's very upset with Netanyahu. 0.98

00:05:37.960 Okay, but what the fuck are you doing about it? 0.98

00:05:39.560 Many of us frustrated with the genocide would say. 0.98

00:05:42.040 Same question now.

00:05:43.100 What are you going to do about it?

00:05:43.880 Donald Trump has given Netanyahu everything he wanted.

00:05:46.220 If this conversation is true, he's saying,

00:05:49.020 I saved you from prison in the sense that he demanded the Israeli president.

00:05:51.600 Did he? Don't you think he did, though?

00:05:52.740 In many ways he did, because every time this war continues,

00:05:55.660 Netanyahu avoids trial, right?

00:05:56.840 Every time there's an escalation in the war,

00:05:58.080 he doesn't have to go back to court.

00:05:58.780 That's right.

00:05:59.320 And Trump has publicly called on Herzog, the president, to pardon him,

00:06:02.620 which he hasn't done yet, but I'm sure he's feeling the pressure

00:06:04.860 from Trump publicly calling him out.

00:06:06.760 So he has helped Netanyahu.

00:06:08.060 But worse than that, you look at what's happening in Gaza.

00:06:10.360 He's given Netanyahu everything he wanted.

00:06:12.400 And this really bothers me because in 2024,

00:06:14.380 I spend a lot of time pointing out to people on my side,

00:06:16.940 leftists, Muslims, Arab Americans,

00:06:19.520 people in Dearborn, Michigan, who welcome Trump.

00:06:22.420 And I said to them, 0.97

00:06:23.260 you're going to get screwed over by this guy. 0.98

00:06:24.580 No, no, no, no. 0.98

00:06:25.320 He's more anti-war than Kamala and Joe.

00:06:27.640 This is what I was told by Arab Americans

00:06:29.060 who voted for Trump.

00:06:30.040 He will be the anti-war president.

00:06:31.640 Stephen Miller said he won't send our boys to die.

00:06:34.020 Trump said, remember what he said?

00:06:35.060 He goes, Liz Cheney will go to war with Kamala 1.00

00:06:36.820 and kill Muslims. 1.00

00:06:37.480 I won't. 1.00

00:06:38.440 They all believed that shit. 1.00

00:06:39.540 Then he bombed, what is it, six countries last year, 1.00

00:06:41.820 seven countries last year.

00:06:42.760 Now he's in a war with Iran.

00:06:44.180 In Gaza, he had this ceasefire at the beginning

00:06:46.400 that people were very happy about. 0.99

00:06:47.760 But since then, he's allowed Netanyahu

00:06:49.380 to do whatever he wants.

00:06:50.340 And earlier this week, Netanyahu went on camera

00:06:52.560 and he said, we now control 60% of Gaza

00:06:54.700 and I'm going to take 70% of Gaza.

00:06:57.500 Even Biden, Harris, Blinken, none of them said

00:06:59.640 that would be possible.

00:07:01.040 Trump has basically given Netanyahu carte blanche

00:07:03.260 to do whatever he wants in the Gaza Strip.

00:07:04.800 So the answer to your question is,

00:07:06.380 what does he have to do to prove he's holding...

00:07:07.880 A guy like you.

00:07:09.580 It's impossible to win a guy like you.

00:07:11.460 I will give credit.

00:07:12.200 I'll say it now.

00:07:12.760 If what?

00:07:13.720 If he manages to get Netanyahu out of Lebanon and out of Gaza, 0.85

00:07:17.860 which he won't, but that's what I would want to see 0.94

00:07:19.980 because that's what's happened on his watch. 0.63

00:07:21.660 On his watch, Netanyahu's taken more territory in both those places.

00:07:24.520 Prove to me that you actually care about Middle East peace. 0.59

00:07:27.420 Prove to me that you have control over Netanyahu and American weapons

00:07:29.900 and get him to pull out because right now, 0.74

00:07:31.680 greater Israel is happening in front of our eyes.

00:07:33.260 Netanyahu's doing the project that far-right Israelis have always wanted.

00:07:35.980 He's taking Lebanon, southern Lebanon.

00:07:37.280 You're saying Egypt, Turkey, all this stuff.

00:07:38.940 Who knows what's coming next?

00:07:39.780 That's what you're thinking.

00:07:40.240 Well, if you embolden the guy, what is the lesson of the last three years?

00:07:43.340 There's impunity.

00:07:44.120 You can do whatever the F you want, and America will never stop you.

00:07:47.280 When we set out to create a shoe that blends comfort, function, and luxury,

00:07:52.700 we had the choice to make it fast.

00:07:54.840 We had the choice to make it cheap.

00:07:56.960 We chose neither.

00:07:58.600 Instead, we chose Tuscany.

00:08:00.060 We chose true Italian craftsmanship.

00:08:03.260 Each pair touched by 50 skilled hands.

00:08:05.840 We chose patience, spending two years perfecting every detail,

00:08:13.800 Introducing the Future Looks Bright collection.

00:08:17.520 Not rushed, not disposable, not ordinary.

00:08:21.860 Rather intentional, luxurious, timeless.

00:08:33.260 We'll be right back.
