00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.440 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.140 Welcome.
00:00:06.080 It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:10.140 And Senator, it is about 1130 at night on Tuesday evening,
00:00:15.340 exactly one week from today as we are recording this for Wednesday morning.
00:00:21.040 We are a week away from this election.
00:00:25.360 I can't believe it's actually here.
00:00:27.200 A week from today, this interminable election should finally be over.
00:00:32.280 I hope and pray Donald Trump is reelected.
00:00:34.320 We get a Republican Senate, a Republican House, and we turn this country around.
00:00:38.800 We're going to see the closing arguments.
00:00:40.560 We're seeing them unfold right now.
00:00:42.680 The closing arguments, Joe Biden decides his closing argument
00:00:46.360 is that every Trump supporter in America is a piece of garbage.
00:00:49.920 We're going to unpack that.
00:00:51.640 It really is stunning.
00:00:53.420 Kamala, on the other hand, continues just to crash and burn.
00:00:56.920 Every answer she gives makes less sense than the preceding one.
00:01:00.880 And you can see the panic setting in in the Kamala Harris campaign.
00:01:04.920 And by contrast, the Trump campaign is focusing on the crises facing America,
00:01:11.520 but in particular really honing in on the families of those who've lost loved ones
00:01:16.460 to violent, criminal, illegal aliens.
00:01:18.440 The contrast between closing arguments could not be stronger.
00:01:22.820 Yeah.
00:01:23.240 And those closing arguments, I think, are really are what Americans are paying attention to now
00:01:27.800 more than we have in the last several years, which is encouraging.
00:01:30.920 We're going to dive into these more in a moment.
00:01:34.280 I want to tell you about Patriot Mobile.
00:01:36.280 And I just got to say, you guys are incredible.
00:01:38.780 It is so fun to watch conservatives mobilize together, to get together and vote with our dollars.
00:01:47.420 And many of you are now proud partners with Patriot Mobile.
00:01:50.600 And that means that every time you make a phone call, every time you send a text,
00:01:53.880 and every time you pay your bill, you're actually fighting for our First and Second Amendment rights,
00:01:58.780 fighting for sanctity of life, and fighting for our military, our first responders,
00:02:03.180 and our wounded warrior heroes.
00:02:05.380 How does it work?
00:02:06.300 Well, when you're with Patriot Mobile and you pay your bill,
00:02:08.340 about 5% of your bill at no extra cost to you is taken out and goes directly back to these incredible causes.
00:02:17.260 Now, Patriot Mobile was founded because there was a lot of conservatives that realized
00:02:22.020 that Big Mobile was giving big donations to democratic causes, candidates, organizations,
00:02:28.120 including radical organizations that are taking the lives of unborn babies.
00:02:32.980 Yes, your money, if you're with Big Mobile, has been going to these causes.
00:02:37.420 So take a stand and stand with Patriot Mobile.
00:02:41.300 You're going to get the same nationwide coverage as the big providers without their woke, radical agenda.
00:02:46.640 And you use all three major networks.
00:02:49.100 In 2024, everybody uses the same towers now.
00:02:52.480 And that is exactly why it is so easy to switch now to Patriot Mobile.
00:02:56.280 They also have a service coverage guarantee.
00:02:58.520 And their 100% U.S.-based customer service team will find you the best plan to save you money.
00:03:03.960 And you can keep your same number you have now, keep your same phone, or upgrade to a new one.
00:03:08.220 So how do you switch?
00:03:09.860 PatriotMobile.com slash verdict.
00:03:12.080 That's PatriotMobile.com slash verdict.
00:03:14.620 Or you can call the 972-PATRIOT.
00:03:17.300 That's 972-PATRIOT right now.
00:03:19.240 And you're going to get a free month of service when you use the offer code verdict.
00:03:23.340 So join me and switch to America's only Christian conservative mobile provider.
00:03:28.400 PatriotMobile.com slash verdict or 972-PATRIOT.
00:03:31.640 And get that free month of service with the offer code verdict.
00:03:34.720 Senator, I got to tell you, the liberal media struck again today.
00:03:38.660 I know you've been, you know, on the bus and barnstorming the state.
00:03:42.280 But there was a big headline that came out.
00:03:44.920 And I'm sorry.
00:03:48.060 I don't think I let you down, actually.
00:03:50.180 I kind of feel like I should blame you a little bit for this.
00:03:54.060 But they came out with the sexiest podcast host of 2024.
00:04:00.380 You and I lost to the Kelsey brothers.
00:04:04.500 I don't have the official tally.
00:04:06.780 But I think this is a liberal media striking again.
00:04:10.400 Look, I think it clearly is.
00:04:11.740 And I think the problem is, Ben, you didn't do the swimsuit calendar this year.
00:04:15.120 I told you you needed to go with the full Borat.
00:04:18.640 It's a good look.
00:04:20.300 It really, you can carry it off.
00:04:22.180 Don't believe the haters that say that that's not your look.
00:04:26.400 You got this, man.
00:04:28.120 There's always next year.
00:04:29.460 The Kelsey brothers named people's sexiest podcast host of 2024.
00:04:33.460 There's 2025 redemption.
00:04:36.100 Look, I'm just saying, we can do a little more working out here.
00:04:38.900 You never know.
00:04:39.520 I'm waiting to see if we at least come in second.
00:04:41.800 We'll keep everybody up to date on that.
00:04:43.920 So, Benjamin, just for the record, are you confident you can beat out Ben Shapiro?
00:04:49.700 I do feel like I can beat out Ben Shapiro, yes.
00:04:53.980 All right, you guys may have to throw down.
00:04:56.180 I'm not going to get in the middle of that one.
00:04:58.260 I like it.
00:04:59.140 Yeah, I know.
00:04:59.740 I feel confident, and I have a feeling Ben will respond to that for sure.
00:05:04.660 We'll see who comes in second or third.
00:05:06.640 I know I'm taller than him.
00:05:07.820 That I do know for sure.
00:05:09.540 So, half of us, by the way.
00:05:11.020 Well, according to the internet, he's four foot two.
00:05:13.200 That's true.
00:05:14.180 That's true.
00:05:14.680 That's the liberal media striking again.
00:05:16.440 So, all of us, by the way, do have one thing in common, and that is apparently you and I and Shapiro,
00:05:23.080 we're all garbage, including anyone that votes for a conservative candidate, anyone that supports Donald Trump.
00:05:30.520 Joe Biden's closing argument to Americans are, you guys that don't support my team,
00:05:35.720 you're a bunch of people filled with garbage floating around.
00:05:38.940 Yeah, you really need to listen to this interview.
00:05:41.960 What Joe Biden says here, you know, the old line that a gaffe is when a politician accidentally speaks the truth.
00:05:48.500 This is what Biden thinks about us.
00:05:50.200 And just give a listen.
00:05:51.900 Judge for yourself the words that the current president of the United States uttered today.
00:05:57.200 Or Puerto Rico, where I'm in my home state of Delaware.
00:06:01.280 They're good, decent, honorable people.
00:06:03.500 The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.
00:06:07.060 His demonization is seen as unconscionable.
00:06:10.420 And it's un-American.
00:06:11.440 It's un-American.
00:06:13.280 And you guys are a bunch of garbage just floating out there.
00:06:17.080 That's the response, Joe Biden, to Trump supporters.
00:06:20.660 What a hell of a closing argument if you're trying to, you know, be the party of unity and bring people together.
00:06:26.140 It really is a viciousness.
00:06:28.520 And I want you to hear that quote again.
00:06:30.120 The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.
00:06:35.980 And that's clearly what he says.
00:06:38.440 And then now the White House is desperately trying to spin this.
00:06:42.400 They're saying, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:06:43.640 He didn't say that the supporters are garbage.
00:06:46.320 He said that he didn't like the joke that was told Madison Square Garden.
00:06:50.080 But let's be clear.
00:06:51.860 Play it again.
00:06:52.560 I want you to hear what he says because all of the spin, they're going to try to erase the words out of his mouth.
00:06:58.660 So just play the quote again.
00:07:00.120 Rico, where I'm in my home state of Delaware, they're good, decent, honorable people.
00:07:05.100 The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.
00:07:08.700 His demonization is seen as unconscionable.
00:07:12.160 And it's un-American.
00:07:13.620 Un-American.
00:07:14.580 You're un-American, by golly, if you don't vote for Kamala Harris and all of us.
00:07:18.620 And this reminds me of exactly what we had not that long ago when Hillary Clinton, remember when she said we're a bunch of deplorables?
00:07:28.700 Yeah, this is deplorables all over again.
00:07:30.960 This is deplorables all over again.
00:07:32.900 And just to remind you of that, give a listen to Hillary Clinton in 2016.
00:07:37.120 Instead of Biden calling us garbage, here's what Hillary Clinton had to say about us.
00:07:40.540 You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables.
00:07:51.060 The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it.
00:08:05.980 And unfortunately, there are people like that.
00:08:12.460 And he has lifted them up.
00:08:14.740 He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people.
00:08:20.840 Now have 11 million.
00:08:22.820 He tweets and retweets.
00:08:26.320 They're offensive, faithful, mean-spirited rhetoric.
00:08:31.400 Now some of those, folks, they are irredeemable.
00:08:36.360 But thankfully, they are not America.
00:08:39.320 But the other basket, the other basket, and I know because I look at this crowd, I see friends from all over America here.
00:08:47.560 I gotta just, people I think forget it wasn't just deplorable.
00:08:52.260 It's what she said in those 15, 20 seconds after that line.
00:08:56.940 And many people forgot, I think, just how nasty.
00:09:00.420 Yeah, yeah.
00:09:01.760 And before that, you remember Barack Obama saying that Americans are bitter and angry and clinging to their God and their guns.
00:09:09.360 I mean, this is what they think.
00:09:11.580 It's what Obama thinks.
00:09:13.080 It's what Hillary thinks.
00:09:14.320 It's what Joe Biden thinks.
00:09:15.640 It's definitely what Kamala thinks.
00:09:17.840 They look down on you.
00:09:19.620 And if you believe, you know, if you're tired of paying higher prices at the grocery store, more for every bill, if you're tired of paying more for gasoline, if you actually don't want Venezuelan gang members moving next door to your house and threatening your kids, you know what they think?
00:09:36.580 They think you are a racist piece of garbage and you're deplorable.
00:09:41.060 I mean, the arrogance, and they live in their gilded cages.
00:09:46.060 I mean, this is reminiscent of Martha Raddatz at ABC saying, well, it's only a handful of apartment buildings.
00:09:51.980 And mind you, she lives in a multimillion dollar mansion.
00:09:55.060 So Venezuelan gang members are not terrorizing her.
00:09:58.880 So why is it a problem?
00:10:00.380 And if you're worried about that, you're just garbage.
00:10:03.520 You're deplorable.
00:10:04.480 You're a racist.
00:10:05.360 And the only answer is let these radicals destroy our country.
00:10:10.300 I mean, it is, I got to say, it's a remarkable closing argument.
00:10:15.440 And it seems every time Joe Biden comes out, he opens his mouth and actually admits what Biden and Kamala both think.
00:10:23.420 So let's talk about this from a strategy aspect, because I don't think these are gaffes.
00:10:28.700 I think this is a, okay, what we're doing isn't working.
00:10:34.000 Let's up the rhetoric here.
00:10:35.980 And I want to know your take.
00:10:37.720 But I think this is a, let's up the rhetoric.
00:10:39.860 Let's really go back to what we think worked last time, which is Donald Trump is evil.
00:10:45.300 Donald Trump's a racist.
00:10:46.420 Anyone that votes from him is a racist bigot.
00:10:48.460 Let's get our side inspired to show up because they're not showing up on what we've been doing so far in the basement strategy.
00:10:54.300 We're seeing the, you know, for example, the real clear politics lead is disappearing that we thought we might have had.
00:11:01.960 And now we're seeing a consistent uptick for conservative candidates and Donald Trump.
00:11:06.680 So we got to go out there and call him Hitler, call him a dictator, and then call the people that support him actual floating garbage.
00:11:19.080 Well, yes and no.
00:11:19.880 Let me agree and disagree.
00:11:21.080 I agree that it is a very deliberate strategy that they settled on, that I think they had strategy sessions on to call Trump Hitler.
00:11:29.800 That that's their grand closing strategy is Trump is Hitler, Trump is Hitler, which, to be clear, was their strategy in 2016 and 2020 as well.
00:11:38.700 So they've been doing the Trump is Hitler strategy.
00:11:40.680 That's their favorite closing argument.
00:11:43.020 But I don't think this was planned.
00:11:44.880 And the shift is it's one thing to try to demonize Donald Trump.
00:11:48.180 It's another thing and a much stupider thing to try to demonize America, to try to demonize half the voters in America.
00:11:55.500 Now, they believe it.
00:11:56.800 They believe that we're garbage.
00:11:59.860 They believe we're deplorables.
00:12:01.260 But they try to suppress that instinct because they recognize that some of their voters, some of the voters, they're trying to presumably earn their votes.
00:12:10.040 And, you know, it's typically a bad strategy in campaigning to say, hey, you piece of garbage, vote for me.
00:12:16.200 Like that is a very difficult argument to make.
00:12:19.660 And so I think the White House is panicking today that Biden said this out loud.
00:12:24.900 I think the Kamala Harris campaign is panicking.
00:12:27.800 They're desperately trying to spin it.
00:12:29.700 And they're trying to say he did not say what he, in fact, said, that he was just talking about the rhetoric from the one comedian.
00:12:36.120 He was not talking about the tens of millions of Americans voting for Donald Trump.
00:12:40.440 But that's exactly who he was talking about.
00:12:42.980 And it's obvious from the words he used.
00:12:45.460 And the surrogates that are out there that are doing these lines, they're all doing them on behalf of Kamala Harris.
00:12:50.520 Kamala Harris has had, I think, also a new strategy that, you know, you talk about how much time behind closed doors they had.
00:12:58.360 All right, what do we want people to see of her the last week of this campaign?
00:13:02.340 She had this speech with the American flag behind her where she called Donald Trump Hitler and a threat to democracy and a threat to America.
00:13:10.720 I think it's dog whistles for harm on Trump's life yet again.
00:13:14.520 And she did that at her home in front of the Naval Observatory where she lives.
00:13:20.840 And then Kamala had a speech in front of the White House.
00:13:24.040 And this speech was a speech where she was trying to, I think, be presidential, to almost act like she is the president now.
00:13:33.460 And so just continue on with the status quo.
00:13:37.140 And she said that politicians, quote, need to treat immigration as the serious challenge, quote, that it is.
00:13:45.380 I want you to listen to this and get your reaction.
00:13:47.600 Politicians have got to stop treating immigration as an issue to scare up votes in an election.
00:13:56.820 And instead, treat it as the serious challenge that it is that we must finally come together to solve.
00:14:05.580 I will work with Democrats and Republicans to sign into law the border security bill that Donald Trump killed.
00:14:13.080 All right. Let's talk about the facts behind, A, that bill as a reminder going into election week.
00:14:19.920 And also the lies that were just told there in that 25 second clip, because I counted three.
00:14:25.300 So number one, the Chuck Schumer bill that Kamala and every Democrat repeatedly calls the, quote, bipartisan bill.
00:14:33.020 The Chuck Schumer bill was a terrible, terrible bill.
00:14:37.320 It was designed to keep open borders in place forever.
00:14:41.820 However, the Chuck Schumer bill wrote into law, it codified catch and release.
00:14:47.800 Catch and release is Kamala Harris's policy.
00:14:50.460 When they apprehend an illegal immigrant, they let him go.
00:14:52.540 It's contrary to law.
00:14:53.880 It's in it's openly defying federal immigration law.
00:14:57.160 Well, the Chuck Schumer bill would have written it into law.
00:14:59.380 It is America's policy.
00:15:00.740 When they catch an illegal immigrant, they let him go.
00:15:03.600 The Chuck Schumer bill also would have given illegal immigrants immediate work permits to let them legally go to work immediately.
00:15:11.180 It also would have provided millions of illegal immigrants with taxpayer funded lawyers.
00:15:18.700 It also would have provided billions of dollars for sanctuary cities and for NGOs that are actively aiding and abetting the human traffickers.
00:15:29.620 It also went out of its way to screw the state of Texas, and in particular, it provided that Texas could no longer sue to enforce the immigration laws in federal court in Texas, but instead, Texas would have to come to the very liberal federal court in D.C.
00:15:44.820 And finally, and probably most objectionably, it normalized 5,000 illegal immigrants a day.
00:15:53.440 That works out to 1.8 million illegal immigrants a year, every year forever.
00:15:59.360 Chuck Schumer supported this bill because it would have put into law this open border invasion forever.
00:16:05.680 But, actually, the outcome that Schumer really wanted is what happened.
00:16:09.620 He knew the bill was so bad that the instant the text was released, it would fail.
00:16:14.860 He kept the text secret throughout the negotiations.
00:16:17.700 And as soon as they released it, it collapsed within 24 hours because everyone read this bill and said, this is a joke.
00:16:23.340 But the reason Schumer wanted this bill is to do what Kamala is doing, to use it as political camouflage for her and every other Democrat to say, see, we would have secured the border.
00:16:34.580 But understand what she said.
00:16:35.760 She says politicians need to treat immigration as the serious challenge that it is.
00:16:40.900 Well, you know what?
00:16:42.380 She's the one that caused this crisis.
00:16:44.260 She's the one that implemented catch and release.
00:16:46.440 She's the one that released the murderers of Jocelyn Nungary.
00:16:50.160 She's the one that released the murderers of Rachel Morin.
00:16:52.480 She's the one that released the murderer of Lake and Riley.
00:16:57.000 And she takes no responsibility for that.
00:16:59.780 She's not treating it as a serious challenge.
00:17:01.720 She's not changing those policies.
00:17:03.840 She's not.
00:17:05.060 She doesn't want to understand this invasion is the desired outcome of Kamala Harris and the Democrats in the House and Senate because they look at these 11.5 million illegal immigrants as future Democrat voters.
00:17:19.080 It is about the vote getting here.
00:17:22.740 And that's one of the things that I think she obviously says, OK, I got to get votes here, but I also need to look like I'm going to somehow fix the border, secure the border.
00:17:31.760 She said this as well.
00:17:32.840 We must acknowledge we are a nation of immigrants.
00:17:36.580 And I will work with Congress to pass immigration reform, including an earned path to citizenship.
00:17:47.720 I mean, earned path to citizenship, that sounds like mass, not deportations, but mass amnesty.
00:17:56.060 No, it's amnesty.
00:17:57.100 It's citizenship.
00:17:58.040 It's immediate voting because this is the whole enchilada.
00:18:01.660 11.5 million illegals and actually nationally.
00:18:03.720 Nationally, there's somewhere between 20 and 30 million are the best estimates.
00:18:08.000 We don't know for sure.
00:18:09.420 20 to 30 million illegal immigrants, if they become voters, which is what Kamala and every Democrat wants, this country's lost.
00:18:17.020 Texas becomes bright blue.
00:18:18.440 Texas turns into California the instant they give voting rights to every illegal immigrant in the state of Texas.
00:18:24.480 And nationally, we don't have competitive elections anymore.
00:18:27.760 That is their objective.
00:18:29.100 You ask, why would they be willing to look the other way at all the people dying, at all the children being brutalized, at all the women being sexually assaulted?
00:18:38.020 This is about power.
00:18:40.580 And Kamala is hoping the voters won't realize that.
00:18:45.960 And Senator, it's not just what she's saying, but it's also the interviews that she's doing right now.
00:18:53.480 She had an interview, and these interviews they're doing in swing states.
00:18:58.280 They're on local TV, many of them.
00:19:01.240 And she's doing these one-on-ones.
00:19:03.660 Again, closing argument to America.
00:19:05.920 She was asked a question.
00:19:07.520 It's not a tough one, but she didn't have the answer that I think is going to make many Americans feel like she cares.
00:19:12.900 Take a listen.
00:19:13.820 I think what some voters are struggling with, and we've heard this across the state, is when you discuss your plans, they come back and ask, well, why haven't you done it already?
00:19:22.340 Well, I'm not president.
00:19:24.060 You're vice president.
00:19:24.860 Exactly, but I'm going to tell you what I'm doing as president when I have the ability, then, to do what I know, based on my experience, is a new approach that is about building on the good work that has happened.
00:19:38.920 But there's more to do.
00:19:40.600 There's more to do.
00:19:41.460 If that's your closing argument, I'm not the president.
00:19:46.740 I'm just the vice president.
00:19:47.700 I can't do anything.
00:19:48.760 Is that going to work?
00:19:50.280 And understand how bizarrely contrary to history this argument is.
00:19:55.520 Every vice president, of whom I'm aware, who has run for president, they run on the following message.
00:20:03.460 Look at the great successes the president and I had.
00:20:06.120 We're going to continue those successes and expand them.
00:20:09.300 Here's a problem.
00:20:11.140 If you're listing the great successes of Biden and Harris, your list is empty.
00:20:15.460 So she's not running on anything Joe Biden has done and she's done.
00:20:20.360 Instead, she's come up with a bunch of new policies, including that she's going to magically secure the border.
00:20:25.020 But she doesn't acknowledge, well, if you were going to secure the border, why the hell don't you do it right now?
00:20:30.480 Why haven't you done it last year?
00:20:31.920 Why didn't you do it the year before, the year before, the year before?
00:20:34.840 And it is a weird argument as vice president to try to run as the change candidate.
00:20:41.540 To try to – she tries to pretend Donald Trump is president.
00:20:45.480 And she's going to bring in hope and change and change everything.
00:20:49.540 And it's – it is obviously incoherent.
00:20:56.260 Let's take another exchange where a reporter asked her about inflation,
00:21:00.320 inflation that her policies and Joe Biden's policies have caused.
00:21:04.520 Listen to this exchange.
00:21:06.220 Message to Michigan voters in terms of the economy.
00:21:10.420 We have auto workers who are being laid off and those who fear that they might be laid off.
00:21:15.720 The average person can't afford groceries or their rent.
00:21:19.380 And recent polls in Michigan show that Michigan voters believe that Donald Trump would do a better job with handling the economy and bringing jobs back.
00:21:27.900 What do you say to that?
00:21:29.340 Well, let's start with this.
00:21:31.640 I come from the middle class, and I'll never forget where I come from.
00:21:34.720 My mother worked very hard.
00:21:36.440 She, by the time I was a teenager, was able to save up for our first home.
00:21:39.920 And I understand.
00:21:42.900 I mean, you're – the response there, people can't afford groceries or their rent.
00:21:48.040 People are worried about losing their jobs in Michigan and car manufacturers, manufacturing jobs.
00:21:53.540 And she says, let's start with this.
00:21:55.220 I come from the middle class.
00:21:56.380 That's not an answer.
00:21:57.580 Well, it's her memorized riff.
00:22:00.000 It's what she says over and over again.
00:22:02.080 It's what she said in the debate when she was asked the very first question of the debate against Donald Trump, are the American people better off now than they were four years ago?
00:22:11.220 The classic question presidential races are decided on.
00:22:14.560 And she said the exact same thing.
00:22:16.260 Let me say this.
00:22:16.860 I come from the middle class.
00:22:18.240 It's so bad Saturday Night Live is now making fun of her for it.
00:22:21.780 And yet she's unable or unwilling to change.
00:22:25.320 That is her answer because – I mean, I will say in her defense, what else is she supposed to say?
00:22:32.900 Yes, her policies have caused inflation to skyrocket.
00:22:35.900 Yes, people can't afford groceries.
00:22:37.720 Yes, people can't afford rent.
00:22:39.640 I guess Kamala could say, yeah, Joe Biden and I screwed it up entirely, but trust me, we'll somehow do something magically different.
00:22:45.880 She can't say that, and so she doesn't have an answer.
00:22:49.200 I want to tell you about our friends over at Ammo Squared.
00:22:51.520 If you are like me and you want to make sure you're stocked up on ammo at a great price and you never get caught like we did during COVID with a massive shortage of ammo, you couldn't even find 9mm basic calibers out there.

00:24:46.580 Senator, I also want to bring up another point that she made,
00:24:49.480 and that was she claimed it's, quote, misinformation that she supports taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners and illegal aliens.
00:25:01.660 Now, this has become a nationwide issue, despite the fact that she's on tape supporting it.
00:25:07.380 Now, take a listen to this from today.
00:25:09.940 In the ads, he's saying that, you know, Kamala Harris wants to spend taxpayers' money for sex changes in jails.
00:25:15.960 He spent millions and millions of dollars on it, and like Charlemagne said, having him and myself in that.
00:25:20.400 How do you answer that for people that don't know?
00:25:22.720 And what is the real news when it comes to that?
00:25:25.180 Well, first of all, to your point, he has spent tens of millions of dollars trying to hit me with a bunch of disinformation and misinformation on this.
00:25:34.920 And he's living in a glass house because the policies he's speaking about in terms of those surgeries were also his policies.
00:25:42.100 And the reality of it is that also those ads relate to two people.
00:25:48.740 What is truly shocking about this, Senator, is the show that she's on defending, you know, trying to claim she's never said this in the past,
00:26:00.220 is the same show where she actually said these things in the past and was used in an ad that Donald Trump has played around the country.
00:26:06.340 Yeah, so her claim is that it is misinformation or disinformation to say that she wants to use taxpayer funds to pay for sex change surgeries for illegal immigrants in prison.
00:26:23.860 Now, that's her claim, that that is disinformation, that it's false.
00:26:27.100 Now, I cannot imagine what the source would be for such an outrageous proposition.
00:26:32.960 Oh, wait a second, I can't.
00:26:34.340 That would be her own damn words.
00:26:36.020 I want you to listen to her words in the interview.
00:26:39.820 And then you assess, is that disinformation or not?
00:26:43.040 When I was Attorney General, I learned that the California Department of Corrections, which was a client of mine, I didn't get to choose my clients.
00:26:51.860 A client of the Attorney General.
00:26:53.480 A client of the Attorney General, of the Office of Attorney General.
00:26:55.960 I learned that they were standing in the way of surgery.
00:27:01.240 For prisoners.
00:27:02.320 For prisoners.
00:27:03.100 And there was a specific case.
00:27:04.960 And when I learned about the case, I worked behind the scenes to not only make sure that that transgender woman got the services she was deserving.
00:27:13.440 So it wasn't only about that case, I made sure that they changed the policy in the state of California, so that every transgender inmate in the prison system would have access to the medical care that they desired and need.
00:27:29.580 And I believe it was not only, I know it was historic in California, but I believe actually it may have been one of the first, if not the first in the country, where I pushed for that policy in a Department of Corrections.
00:27:43.880 There it is in her own words, Senator.
00:27:46.800 She's unequivocal.
00:27:48.520 She says that she pushed for the policy.
00:27:51.520 She changed the policy.
00:27:52.980 She said it was the first in the nation.
00:27:54.560 She was proud to be an advocate of that when she was running in the Democratic primary to be president.
00:28:01.720 Now, of course, she ended up getting zero votes in that election.
00:28:05.000 She didn't make it to Iowa.
00:28:06.600 Now that she's in the general election and now that people are pointing out, not only is this something she advocated for, it's something she did.
00:28:14.680 She implemented, she spent California tax dollars on sex change surgeries for inmates.
00:28:23.680 And she changed the policy so any inmate that wanted that surgery could get it.
00:28:28.760 Now, she was very proud of that.
00:28:30.240 And now she claims that Donald Trump's running her own words in that interview is somehow disinformation.
00:28:38.980 Look, to the modern Democrat, disinformation means anything that is inconvenient to them politically right now.
00:28:46.200 And sadly, that is her agenda.
00:28:48.360 And you know what?
00:28:49.340 It's the agenda of an awful lot of the congressional Democrats in the Senate and House right now.
00:28:54.200 Canadian women are looking for more, more out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world around them.
00:29:00.880 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:29:04.920 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:29:06.020 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:29:07.240 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women.
00:29:10.980 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey.
00:29:16.740 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:29:19.720 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:29:25.400 There's also another concern going into this final week for Democrats, and that is that Kamala Harris has somehow lost the support among minority voters.
00:29:36.260 To put it in perspective, African-American voters supported Barack Obama, I think it was like 96, 97 percent.
00:29:43.680 It was in the mid-90s for Joe Biden last time when he was running.
00:29:48.160 And it's now in the 70 percent.
00:29:51.600 That means that there's 20-plus percent out there that are going to go, are saying they're going to go for Donald Trump.
00:29:59.020 Kamala was asked about that.
00:30:00.940 And the Democratic Party, they are unbelievably concerned.
00:30:06.060 Here's what she said on The Breakfast Club about that.
00:30:08.720 What is your strong push to any black man right now that feels like you're not speaking directly to them
00:30:13.920 and about the things that they should care about for their families and for themselves?
00:30:16.300 Well, Lauren, I have to tell you back to what Charlemagne is shouting in the background.
00:30:22.140 The brothers aren't saying that.
00:30:24.140 She says the brothers aren't saying that.
00:30:26.380 So, in other words, if you're a minority voter and you feel like you're suffering right now
00:30:31.000 and inflation and prices of groceries and cars and food and insurance and all of these things are hurting you and your community,
00:30:41.060 she's saying, no, no, no, that's not true.
00:30:43.640 They're not saying that.
00:30:45.060 That's out of touch with voters and what they think right now.
00:30:47.740 Yeah, look, the polling clearly indicates that the number of African-American men who are voting for Donald Trump is rising significantly.
00:30:58.440 And that's a problem she's got.
00:31:00.120 And she's just claiming that reality doesn't exist.
00:31:03.020 I'll tell you, right before we recorded this podcast, I just did a big rally in Central Texas, had a bunch of people there.
00:31:10.700 One gentleman came up to me as an African-American man.
00:31:14.040 He shook my hand and he said, I've never voted Republican before in my life.
00:31:17.580 I am now.
00:31:18.900 That was an hour ago I had that conversation.
00:31:22.160 And I can tell you the data and the polling show it is clearly happening in Texas and all over the country.
00:31:28.160 Let me also ask you about the Hispanic community as well,
00:31:32.200 because the Hispanic community really seems to be talking a lot about the issue of the border.
00:31:38.020 And the border issue is one where many in the Hispanic community have been affected by the border.
00:31:44.320 They've been affected by the fentanyl.
00:31:45.720 They've been affected by the gang violence.
00:31:47.360 They've been affected by the sex trafficking.
00:31:49.720 They've been affected by the violent criminals I've come across that were let go by this administration,
00:31:54.220 including those who were convicted murderers and convicted rapists.
00:31:57.780 And you're seeing now these stories that are also really connecting with the Hispanic community,
00:32:08.620 watching and witnessing what has happened within this Hispanic community,
00:32:13.220 which is a very tight-knit community historically in this country.
00:32:16.480 And they are also breaking away from the Democratic Party as well.
00:32:20.120 Yeah, and in very large numbers, I'll tell you, in Texas and across the country,
00:32:24.740 we're seeing Hispanic voters moving right in very significant numbers.
00:32:30.140 And there are lots of reasons for it.
00:32:32.160 One of the reasons for it is economically.
00:32:34.220 The Hispanic community has been savaged by inflation
00:32:37.140 and the economic challenges that is hitting Americans across the board.
00:32:41.740 Listen, I can tell you in Texas, if you're an Hispanic guy in South Texas
00:32:47.180 and you work in the oil fields and you drive a pickup truck
00:32:50.840 and you go bird hunting on the weekends, you're voting for Donald Trump
00:32:54.520 because Kamala Harris is doing everything she can to destroy your livelihood.
00:32:59.260 And then you put on top of that the chaos at our southern border
00:33:03.160 and the influx of crime and releasing violent murderers and Venezuelan gang members.
00:33:08.000 I'll tell you, many of the victims of these crimes are themselves Hispanic.
00:33:13.700 Many of the illegal immigrants are going to heavily Hispanic neighborhoods
00:33:17.080 where the victims are Hispanic themselves.
00:33:20.500 And the Democrats have no answers.
00:33:22.560 And so I think we're seeing the Hispanic community moving right.
00:33:26.500 And I will say the contrast.
00:33:28.760 So in the closing week, Joe Biden has decided his argument is
00:33:32.680 if you're voting for Donald Trump, you're garbage.
00:33:34.500 In the closing week, Donald Trump actually just today
00:33:39.360 put out an incredibly powerful new ad.
00:33:43.620 And we talked about how on Friday I was with President Trump in Texas
00:33:47.460 and we were there with families of those who lost loved ones
00:33:50.960 to violent criminal illegal aliens,
00:33:53.300 including Alexis Nungary, the mom of Jocelyn Nungary.
00:33:57.480 And as I mentioned, I've gotten to know Alexis very well.
00:33:59.540 She's an incredible young woman.
00:34:01.560 She's just 27 years old and she's dealing with the worst grief imaginable.
00:34:07.420 And she's taken that pain, which easily could just crush you.
00:34:11.780 You could just curl up at a ball and be unable to do anything.
00:34:16.780 And instead, she's taken all of that pain and she's channeled it
00:34:20.000 into being a voice for Jocelyn, speaking out for Jocelyn.
00:34:24.540 And look, Alexis has told me, listen, she knows she can't bring Jocelyn back.
00:34:28.220 But if she can speak out and change the policies, maybe she can save another little girl.
00:34:33.760 Maybe she can save another mom from enduring the grief and sorrow and misery of losing your child.
00:34:42.080 And so I want you to listen to this ad.
00:34:47.060 And it's just an extended interview with Alexis that the Trump campaign just put out,
00:34:51.160 because it really does sum up the human cost of Kamala Harris's open borders and the suffering that is happening.
00:35:01.340 Sunday night, I asked her to not stay up super late because of her coming to work with me in the morning
00:35:08.380 for us to do her summer school.
00:35:11.420 She said, OK.
00:35:12.900 I told her good night and I love you.
00:35:14.900 I went to bed, not realizing that that was going to be the last time I saw her.
00:35:20.760 We're best friends.
00:35:25.540 I'm going to go shake it again.
00:35:28.240 I woke up to notice she wasn't in her bed.
00:35:33.000 I'm in my heart trying not to lose my mind because I don't know where she is.
00:35:37.340 I finally remembered her phone had a location on and her phone was pinging just two minutes
00:35:44.600 down the road, right behind the skate park.
00:35:48.280 I start driving to the direction the phone was being pinged at and I see a couple cop cars
00:35:55.920 with lights on.
00:35:57.180 I see yellow tape and immediately my heart drops and sinks to the bottom of my stomach.
00:36:04.320 My daughter's hands and ankles were both bound.
00:36:10.240 She was strangled to death, left with no pants.
00:36:15.320 And I know in my heart, she fought incredibly hard.
00:36:21.400 She was not going down without a fight.
00:36:27.500 We begin with two men.
00:36:29.280 We're learning our charge with capital murder tonight, accused of killing a 12-year-old girl.
00:36:33.660 Police say these men strangled her before dumping her into that creek.
00:36:37.800 Both men were in the country illegally.
00:36:39.900 Apprehended, then released by border patrol less than three weeks before Jocelyn's death.
00:36:44.620 The men accused of killing Jocelyn Nungere are affiliated with the gang known for brutal
00:36:49.660 violence.
00:36:51.200 Kamala Harris was in charge of immigration and our borders.
00:36:55.480 If we had better border policies and not open borders and not these catch-and-release policies,
00:37:02.780 I truly believe this all could have been prevented.
00:37:07.380 Under her being vice president of this country, my daughter's life was ripped away from her.
00:37:15.320 She had her entire life of head of hurt.
00:37:17.880 Happy birthday, dear Jocelyn.
00:37:22.860 My daughter is six feet in the ground based off of policies that she allowed to keep.
00:37:30.860 Kamala Harris did have one job and she not only failed, not me, she failed my daughter.
00:37:39.200 She failed Jocelyn when she was only 12.
00:37:44.880 President Trump reached out, gave me his sincerest condolences as not a former president, but just
00:37:52.080 as a father, someone who cares.
00:37:54.640 I believe Donald Trump needs to be back in office.
00:37:57.900 I can at least know that my next child will be safe in this country.
00:38:04.480 Senator, I've not seen a more powerful ad in my lifetime, and especially, and we'll put
00:38:12.600 it up on social media, because you need to watch it because you see this mother telling
00:38:18.640 her story and you see the pictures of her daughter.
00:38:22.020 And if this is the closing argument for Donald Trump's campaign, it is the most powerful one
00:38:29.060 I think he could have used.
00:38:30.080 Yeah, look, I have sat in her living room.
00:38:35.120 I've sat with Alexis, Jocelyn's mom.
00:38:38.720 I've sat with Kelvin, Jocelyn's grandfather.
00:38:42.520 As they've told me, they shared those same stories just one-on-one with me.
00:38:47.700 And the agony, every time I see her talk about Jocelyn, this is the very real cost.
00:39:00.580 And I got to say, it's a very different message than Kamala and Joe Biden's closing argument.
00:39:08.320 Drastically different.
00:39:09.220 And Donald Trump, by the way, isn't done with this issue.
00:39:13.300 He is continuing to roll out new policies, one that I want to ask you about in a moment.
00:39:18.040 But first, let me tell you about blackout coffee.
00:39:20.640 If you're like me and you start your day off in the morning, I start my day off early.

00:40:39.000 Finally, Senator, Donald Trump is not just running a campaign and doing the speeches.
00:40:45.860 He is continuing to announce new policies for his administration if he wins.
00:40:51.900 And one of them hit a nerve with a lot of Americans in a positive way today when he said this about the victims of the cartels.
00:41:01.660 So today, I'm announcing that for the first time under my administration, we will be seizing the assets of the criminal gangs and drug cartels.
00:41:11.500 And we will use those assets to create a compensation fund to provide restitution for the victims of migrant crime.
00:41:24.360 And the government will help in the restoration.
00:41:27.580 The government will help in the restitution.
00:41:30.100 I mean, that's what Americans want.
00:41:35.020 They want action.
00:41:36.220 Yes.
00:41:36.880 Yes.
00:41:37.300 Look, that's exactly the right thing to do.
00:41:39.760 And it's the reason why Jocelyn, look, it's only been, or why Alexis, it's only been a couple of months since Jocelyn was killed.
00:41:46.580 Can you imagine a mom standing up and speaking out like she is?
00:41:51.100 It's the reason she's pouring herself into this is because there's a chance to change this.
00:41:55.500 There's a chance to prevent the next victim, the next little girl, the next little boy from being killed.
00:42:03.000 And number one, President Trump is promising, as he did before.
00:42:06.280 Look, when he was president last time, I worked hand in hand with him, and we had incredible success securing the border.
00:42:13.500 We achieved the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years.
00:42:19.280 It's a very simple message.
00:42:20.460 We did it before.
00:42:21.900 We'll do it again.
00:42:23.320 And I think expanding it, as he's suggesting, to say we're going to seize the assets of these criminal gangs, of these drug cartels,
00:42:31.400 and we're going to use the assets to compensate the victims and the victims' families.
00:42:36.760 I think that is fair.
00:42:38.160 That is right.
00:42:39.040 That is just.
00:42:40.600 And it is the difference between a leader who's actually trying to keep people safe and what Kamala Harris is doing,
00:42:47.220 which is putting our own partisan political interest above the safety and well-being of American families.
00:42:53.780 No doubt about it.
00:42:54.620 It's two different stories for America, two different plans for America, and this is the closing week.
00:42:59.480 Don't forget, we do this show Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
