00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.480 Guaranteed human.
00:00:04.680 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:08.760 And Senator, we made some serious headlines from our Wednesday podcast.
00:00:14.220 And in that podcast, you said it's time to start looking for documents and you named places.
00:00:21.100 And now the White House has had to respond to that.
00:00:24.380 The White House press secretary was asked about you saying the documents that are being held at the University of Delaware.
00:00:32.000 And there's a hell of a lot of them.
00:00:33.740 Is anybody going to go through those?
00:00:35.460 Here's how she responded to that question.
00:00:37.880 The question is regarding a comment from Senator Ted Cruz.
00:00:41.880 He's calling for a search of President Biden's Senate records at the University of Delaware for potentially classified information.
00:00:47.780 Those records reportedly include about 1,850 boxes of documents, as well as 415 gigabytes of electronic files.
00:00:57.320 Does President Biden have any objection to such a search?
00:01:00.160 When it comes to the documents and this ongoing legal matter, I refer you to the White House Counsel's office.
00:01:05.720 I'd just like to read.
00:01:07.000 I'm so sorry.
00:01:07.900 You said you had two.
00:01:08.880 You've asked four.
00:01:08.980 I'd just like to read up the request of our colleagues in this room for someone to answer these questions from the podium.
00:01:13.880 Absolutely.
00:01:14.560 Okay.
00:01:15.160 I mean, what a dodge, Senator.
00:01:16.980 What a dodge.
00:01:17.600 Well done to her for doing her job that day, right?
00:01:20.280 So I'm reminded of Monty Python.
00:01:23.460 Her response to that question is, run away!
00:01:28.300 Run away!
00:01:29.960 Like, there is nothing preventing her from answering that question.
00:01:35.020 His question was, does Biden object to searching those documents?
00:01:40.100 That's not even really a legal question.
00:01:42.220 It's a political question.
00:01:43.280 Is he open to allowing the FBI to search the documents from his tenure in the Senate?
00:01:50.080 Mind you, he just made public that, oh crap, he had classified documents from his tenure in the Senate that were at his house in Wilmington.
00:02:01.660 The University of Delaware has over 1,850 boxes of documents from his Senate tenure.
00:02:11.640 Now, listen, if he had classified documents at his house, it's reasonable to ask where there are classified documents in those files.
00:02:23.440 I believe the FBI will search those files.
00:02:26.760 I think it's inevitable.
00:02:27.940 But I think it's striking that the Biden White House won't say, no, we don't object to that.
00:02:34.520 They're not willing to go on record.
00:02:37.000 That was an obvious dodge.
00:02:38.880 And I actually want to make clear, I think it's not just the files at the University of Delaware.
00:02:46.320 I think it is critical that the FBI search Hunter Biden's home and his office locations, given the enormous evidence of corruption involving Hunter Biden
00:03:03.120 and Joe Biden, involving Hunter Biden, selling access to Joe Biden when he was vice president, involving Hunter Biden being paid millions of dollars from Burisma, the Ukrainian natural gas company,
00:03:18.340 and millions of dollars from companies funded by the Chinese communist government.
00:03:25.460 At the same time that Hunter Biden, we know, was in his father's Corvette, he has pictures out on the Internet of him driving his father's Corvette, which was parked, we now know, and it is admitted, next to classified documents.
00:03:48.000 The FBI needs to search and investigate to determine whether there are any classified documents at Hunter Biden's home or business.
00:03:59.100 And by the way, the next question someone might ask is, OK, well, what is the probable cause to search Hunter Biden's home or business?
00:04:11.160 And they there may or may not be probable cause if you had to go to a court and get a warrant for that search, you'd have to lay out the case.
00:04:20.760 But the question that should be asked tomorrow to Corrine Jean-Pierre is, does Hunter Biden object to an FBI search of his home and business?
00:04:37.620 Because if there's no objection, the FBI can do it.
00:04:42.080 Now, if he objects, that tells you something.
00:04:44.880 And notice she wouldn't even answer if Joe Biden, the sitting president, objects to the search of his own Senate documents.
00:04:54.440 That question needs to be asked.
00:04:56.800 That search needs to happen.
00:04:58.680 And I believe if at the end of the day, we discover that these classified documents relate to the corruption of the Biden family, then we are facing real and material criminal charges.
00:05:15.460 We don't know that.
00:05:16.660 There's no evidence of that.
00:05:18.180 But at the same time, the the Biden, FBI and DOJ, which leaks on every damn thing you can imagine related to Donald Trump, has been locked like a steel drum on this.
00:05:31.140 So we know nothing about what's in these documents.
00:05:34.120 We need to know we need to search the University of Delaware documents and we need to search Hunter Biden's home and office.
00:05:42.040 And we need to do it now.
00:05:43.680 The FBI doesn't need to sit on its rear end for days and weeks and months and let someone put those documents in a shredder.
00:05:54.820 They need to show up tomorrow and search Hunter Biden's home and office.
00:06:02.540 If we care about protecting classified documents and understanding what Joe Biden has done, we need to do that immediately.
00:06:11.260 Yeah, there's no doubt about that.
00:06:13.200 And I want to ask you also about the other family members.
00:06:16.160 The one thing that the Bidens love to do was share office space center.
00:06:20.800 Before I get your take on that, I want to remind everybody about Patriot Mobile.
00:06:25.180 If you're a conservative and you're tired of giving your money to companies that don't stand up for your values and your beliefs, then you need to check out Patriot Mobile.
00:06:33.840 Why?
00:06:34.400 Because of the only conservative Christian cell phone company in the U.S.
00:06:38.040 They have nationwide coverage, the same exact coverage you have right now.
00:06:42.760 In fact, they're using the same towers that your cell phone's using right now.
00:06:46.480 Except when you pay your bill, you're actually advocating and supporting conservative causes that stand up for the First and Second Amendment right, the rights for the unborn and helping people with adoptions.
00:07:01.100 If you've never checked out Patriot Mobile, whether it's for you and your family or a business or a small business, check them out.
00:07:08.280 And every time you use your phone, you're going to be standing up for what you believe in.
00:07:12.060 The number 878-PATRIOT.
00:07:15.160 Use the promo code VERDICT and you'll get the best deals of the day.
00:07:18.620 Plus, you can keep your same cell phone number and many times your same cell phone.
00:07:22.200 Senator, there's one thing that the Biden family really loves to do, and that is to co-mingle office space.
00:07:39.320 We have the emails from Hunter Biden's laptop that talk about having keys made for shady Chinese communist individuals who were with CEFE.
00:07:51.280 We know that they were wanting keys not only for Joe Biden, but for Hunter Biden, for Joe Biden, and for Jimmy.
00:07:58.480 James Biden, when you look at the University of Delaware in these documents, knowing that right after he left the White House, they were co-mingling office space.
00:08:09.840 Aren't there maybe even other locations that the FBI should be asking questions about now and who took what documents where?
00:08:16.800 Because we also know that documents had to be stored somewhere before they went to the Biden Center.
00:08:21.180 There's a significant chunk of time where those documents had to be somewhere else.
00:08:25.720 Where were they kept before then, the classified documents?
00:08:29.040 And then those documents in his garage, where all had they been?
00:08:32.920 Had they been to Jimmy's office or to Hunter's office or to Jill's office, for that matter?
00:08:38.760 So, look, I think those are all very reasonable questions.
00:08:41.940 If you had a DOJ and an FBI that were investigating this seriously and with a nonpartisan focus, they would ask those questions.
00:08:51.620 They would search those locations.
00:08:53.200 You know, I'll say also, so we had a big headline that broke today, which is classified documents were discovered at Mike Pence's home address.
00:09:04.360 And the press went into a bit of a tizzy on this.
00:09:07.260 Now, I will say I think there's a pretty significant difference between the Pence situation and the Biden situation.
00:09:14.400 Pence, and look, this was responsible, this was prudent, went on a search of whatever documents were at his home residence when this happened to say, OK, let's make sure I don't have anything.
00:09:27.020 And they discovered, oh, we do.
00:09:29.140 Now, what Pence has done is he's put out a public explanation, which is he said that when he had staff packing up his office files in the office of the vice president, that inadvertently there were some classified documents that were put in the boxes along with unclassified documents.
00:09:48.360 Now, that's sloppy.
00:09:50.680 It's not a wonderful explanation, but it's understandable.
00:09:55.400 I don't think anyone thinks Mike Pence was there packing those boxes.
00:09:59.800 So when he found it, he immediately admitted to it.
00:10:04.840 He was forthcoming.
00:10:06.120 He didn't hide it.
00:10:07.260 He didn't do what Joe Biden did.
00:10:08.680 This was discovered on November 2nd, a week before Election Day, and he hid it.
00:10:13.220 He didn't want the American people to know.
00:10:15.480 Pence, the instant he knew about it, publicly admitted it.
00:10:18.580 And he also gave an explanation.
00:10:20.660 By the way, Joe Biden has given zero explanation for how he had these documents.
00:10:25.840 No explanation for how he had the vice presidential documents, and even more stunning, no explanation for how he had the Senate documents.
00:10:33.840 We've talked on this podcast at length about how in the Senate you review classified documents in a SCIF, a secure location.
00:10:42.180 So it takes extraordinary efforts.
00:10:44.960 I have never once read a classified document in 10 years in the Senate outside of the SCIF, the secure location.
00:10:52.800 So there is zero chance I'm sitting in my D.C. apartment.
00:10:56.280 I know to a metaphysical certainty there are zero classified documents in my D.C. apartment.
00:11:02.400 Why?
00:11:03.160 Because the only place I've ever read a classified document has been in the SCIF.
00:11:07.480 Joe Biden has given zero explanation.
00:11:10.620 He's not willing to give an explanation.
00:11:13.400 I will admit, though, Ben, when the story about Pence broke, I was really, really tempted to tweet.
00:11:20.660 Wait, holy cow, Hunter Biden went to Mike Pence's house, too?
00:11:27.420 And I literally pulled out my phone and started to type it.
00:11:31.020 And then a guy on my team said, yeah, if you said that, people will read that as a shot at Mike Pence.
00:11:38.200 And I'm like, no, I'm not taking a shot at Mike Pence.
00:11:40.820 Look, Mike's a friend of mine.
00:11:41.900 He's a good man.
00:11:42.940 I don't want to take a shot at Mike.
00:11:44.460 I'm taking a shot at Hunter and Biden and the Biden family corruption.
00:11:48.320 But I got to say, I still thought it was funny as hell.
00:11:51.820 So this is a tweet I did not send.
00:11:54.620 I love this.
00:11:55.700 But it made me laugh.
00:11:57.460 I was walking along right alongside the Underground Railroad from the Senate office buildings to the Capitol.
00:12:06.340 And I was almost sending the tweet.
00:12:08.260 And then I'm like, no, I don't want to pop Mike Pence.
00:12:11.020 He's a good guy.
00:12:11.880 So if I send it, people will laugh.
00:12:15.200 But they'll also twist it into popping Mike.
00:12:17.800 So I didn't send the tweet.
00:12:19.300 That's you have a wise staff around you.
00:12:21.740 They know how people will screw that one up for you.
00:12:24.440 Let's talk real quick about Joe Biden just sticking his foot in his mouth.
00:12:28.200 All right.
00:12:28.520 He does this a lot.
00:12:29.600 We have that famous video of him now just talking about how, you know, I was in charge of the Ukraine gig, basically in charge of everything going from the U.S. to Ukraine.
00:12:41.040 He said, I got all the good jobs, the good assignments when he was vice president.
00:12:44.580 And then he bragged about having that prosecutor fired that was actually investigating his son's company with corruption in Ukraine.
00:12:52.280 He loves to brag about these types of things.
00:12:55.540 Well, you go back now and there's been some unearthing of how he has dealt with classified information when he was in the Senate.
00:13:04.780 We also know that some of the documents found at his home in Delaware were from his time in the Senate, which at the bare minimum means they're 14 plus years old at the youngest.
00:13:15.960 Some of these could easily be 30, 40 years old.
00:13:18.320 He's been a public official now for literally 50 years.
00:13:21.700 But he apparently openly bragged about classified information and leaking it all the way back in 1986 in an interview that he did.
00:13:32.500 Well, that's exactly right.
00:13:34.200 He did an interview in 1986 where he said, quote, he twice threatened to go public with covert action plans by the Reagan administration that he believed were, quote, harebrained.
00:13:50.820 And to stop them.
00:14:20.800 Biden bragged that when he heard about covert actions, what the CIA was doing.
00:14:26.920 And by the way, covert actions, covert is a fancy word for secret.
00:14:30.880 What our U.S. government is doing, all covert actions, 100 percent of them are classified.
00:14:37.040 They're usually classified at the highest level, SCI code word classified.
00:14:41.660 And Biden said, well, hell, I don't care about classified documents.
00:14:46.840 I didn't like what Reagan was doing, so I was just going to leak him.
00:14:50.140 And by the way, Michael Reagan, who's a friend, he's Ronald Reagan's son.
00:14:54.880 Michael Reagan tweeted out yesterday.
00:14:56.820 He said, quote, after my father was out of office, he shared to me that Senator Joe Biden confronted him and told him that if he disagreed with my father on a covert action, he had planned he would leak it to the media to stop it.
00:15:15.840 Now, let me be clear, leaking a classified document to the media is a felony.
00:15:22.400 Literally, this is Joe Biden bragging.
00:15:24.560 I will commit a felony because I don't like your foreign policy.
00:15:28.120 So going back 40 years, Joe Biden has had a cavalier attitude towards classified documents.
00:15:39.340 Now, there's a rich irony that he preened self-righteously when the Biden FBI raided Mar-a-Lago, where he said, well, for him to have classified documents in a locked closet, that was irresponsible.
00:15:58.120 And, of course, Corrine John B. Hare, who you played at the outset of this podcast, when she was asked a few days ago, was it irresponsible for Joe Biden to do the exact same thing?
00:16:12.480 She promptly said, to quote Monty Python, run away!
00:16:18.320 She refused to answer.
00:16:19.780 Yeah, it's it is truly it's stunning to see how this White House has done everything they can just for the narrative to screw this up.
00:16:29.540 And you're seeing this now and we're watching this really play out where the White House doesn't know which way is up.
00:16:37.420 The president has basically lost total control of this narrative.
00:16:42.480 And now you have, I think, two big storylines.
00:16:47.680 You have the storyline, which is the FBI is now kind of having to do their job.
00:16:51.960 And you also have the other storyline, which is undermining this White House as well, that the top level FBI individuals.
00:16:58.480 We just saw this top FBI official charged with violating Russian sanctions.
00:17:03.200 He was apparently making decisions in the Carter Page investigation.
00:17:07.020 They've got now problems all over the place.
00:17:09.700 Even NBC News talked about this on the news.
00:17:13.980 I mean, it was it was a shocking moment for me.
00:17:16.740 They're having to cover documents that are classified at multiple residents and maybe at other offices and maybe with other searches.
00:17:25.020 And they're having to admit that a former top FBI official was charged with violating Russian sanctions, who was also making decisions on spying on Donald Trump.
00:17:33.980 This may be the worst week in history for the FBI and the Democratic Party of actually all of the chickens coming home to roost at the same exact time.
00:17:44.240 Well, let me just say, wait till next week.
00:17:48.740 I like it.
00:17:49.600 I like the tease there, Senator.
00:17:50.880 I like the tease there.
00:17:52.260 Senator, I want you to give an important update that's going to have a huge impact on our men and women in uniform when it comes to the vaccine mandate.
00:17:59.480 You're trying to get them reinstated.
00:18:01.560 And before you go into that, I want to tell everybody about our good friends at Augusta Precious Metals.

00:19:36.420 More out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world around them.
00:19:40.580 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk Podcast.
00:19:43.700 I want to ask you about another issue, and this one is something that's really important.
00:20:10.920 You've been fighting for quite some time about getting reinstated.
00:20:18.960 Men and women in our military who were kicked out for not getting the vaccine.
00:20:24.360 We've also now seen that they're going to recommend or have recommended,
00:20:28.300 oh, you should just get the COVID vaccine annually.
00:20:30.860 If you're older, you should get two shots a year.
00:20:32.880 If you're children, you should get two shots a year.
00:20:34.680 So we want to put this on the regular schedule for everybody.
00:20:37.040 So when you're getting your flu shot, and hell, we might even do, quote,
00:20:40.160 an experiment and put them together in one shot.
00:20:43.380 And yet men and women stood up, lost their jobs.
00:20:46.780 Some of them are even having to pay back their bonuses that they received while serving our country.
00:20:51.820 And you and other senators and members of the House now are fighting really hard to try to make sure that these men and women are reinstated in the military.
00:21:02.680 My question is, and so many other American senators, who are in their right mind would hold this up?
00:21:08.920 Because we also didn't hit our recruiting goals in our military this last year.
00:21:12.780 We desperately need these people back in uniform.
00:21:17.500 Well, listen, that's exactly right.
00:21:20.620 There were a lot of policies over the last two years on COVID that were utterly indefensible.
00:21:26.800 You saw the Biden administration shutting down small businesses, shutting down schools, sending millions of kids home and denying them an education.
00:21:35.740 You saw the Biden administration trying to fire federal employees, trying to force private employers to fire their employees if they didn't get a COVID vaccine.
00:21:47.900 Of all of all of the policies, and every one of those was outrageous, it was an abuse of power, it was wrong.
00:21:54.780 But of all of the policies, I'm not sure any was more outrageous than the Biden administration firing thousands upon thousands of active duty military men and women because they made the personal decision not to get the COVID vaccine.
00:22:13.940 Some of them made it for religious reasons, others made it for personal health reasons, but thousands upon thousands of active duty military members were fired by Joe Biden eagerly, aggressively, proudly.
00:22:31.480 By the way, the guy in charge of the COVID policy in the White House is the new Biden chief of staff, Jeff Zients.
00:22:38.720 So they embraced these policies from the day they were announced.
00:22:44.960 I have opposed these policies.
00:22:46.560 I think they are wrong.
00:22:47.560 I think they're abusive.
00:22:48.720 I think they're illegal.
00:22:49.880 I think they're immoral.
00:22:51.600 And I've fought against them.
00:22:53.580 I've led the fight in the Senate against the Biden COVID vaccine mandates.
00:22:58.700 On the military front, we won a big, a huge victory last month when Congress passed the National Defense Authorization Act and it, by statute, explicitly rescinded, it repealed the Biden vaccine mandate in the military.
00:23:21.560 That is a big damn deal.
00:23:23.980 I have fought hard.
00:23:25.820 Others have fought hard, have spilled blood and sweat and tears to stop this immoral mandate.
00:23:32.580 And so winning that victory, we need to celebrate.
00:23:35.600 We need to pause and say we got a big win here.
00:23:39.720 We forced the Democrats to accept that they didn't want it.
00:23:43.240 We forced Joe Biden to sign it.
00:23:45.060 He didn't want to.
00:23:46.020 And that was a big win.
00:23:46.920 But unfortunately, the price the Democrats extracted is the repeal was prospective only, which means going forward tomorrow, no active duty military members will be fired for not getting the COVID vaccine.
00:24:04.060 But it did absolutely nothing for the thousands.
00:24:07.600 And I say thousands.
00:24:08.740 We don't know the exact number.
00:24:11.160 We know it is at a minimum thousands.
00:24:13.560 It may be tens of thousands.
00:24:15.500 The Biden administration refuses to answer this question.
00:24:19.100 At a minimum, it is thousands of active duty military members who were fired, who were terminated, who were removed from the military.
00:24:28.120 And the legislation we passed last month provides no relief for them.
00:24:33.920 I filed this week legislation, I'm calling it the Americans Act, that gives them relief.
00:24:41.220 So if you're an active duty serviceman or woman and you were terminated from the military, you would have a right to return to the military, return at your original rank, return at the same level of benefits, get your benefits back, go back to serving our nation.
00:25:01.200 If the mandate is wrong, if the mandate is wrong, if the mandate is wrong, then it shouldn't just be wrong today.
00:25:07.720 It should have been wrong yesterday and a year ago when these people were being fired.
00:25:12.640 And beyond that, there are also thousands of servicemen and women who had their ranks reduced.
00:25:22.680 My legislation provides that if you had your rank reduced, you get your rank restored and you get back pay.
00:25:31.100 And beyond that, there are some servicemen and women who were fired who may make a determination, say, look, I've got a job in the private sector.
00:25:39.120 I've moved on. I don't want to go back to the military.
00:25:41.180 OK, if you don't want to go back, we're not going to make you.
00:25:43.080 But those individuals, my legislation would provide that they get an honorable discharge, not just a general discharge, which ensures that they get the benefits they have earned by defending this nation.
00:25:57.020 And I'll tell you this, to every soldier, every sailor, every airman, every Marine, every Coast Guardsman, I'm going to keep fighting for you until you are taken care of, until justice is served.
00:26:18.040 Because it is wrong that Democrats did this.
00:26:21.640 And by the way, one of the big reasons, Ben, that Biden and the Democrats did this, I believe they are engaging in a purge, a purge of the military.
00:26:32.420 They want to get rid of conservatives.
00:26:34.580 They want to get rid of independent thinking.
00:26:37.400 I was going to ask you that because there's so many people, Senator, that think this was exactly what you just described.
00:26:43.160 100 percent.
00:26:43.700 The easiest way to get rid of people that are probably more conservative.
00:26:47.380 Yep.
00:26:48.140 Or more principled or are not willing to look the other way when they do things.
00:26:52.860 They love America.
00:26:53.520 Get rid of them.
00:26:54.480 Right.
00:26:54.760 Get rid of them.
00:26:55.540 And this was an easy way to ask a question without asking a question to purge them.
00:27:01.000 And it's not just the military.
00:27:03.560 It's also DOJ.
00:27:04.920 It's also the FBI.
00:27:06.220 It's also the Border Patrol.
00:27:07.920 They are trying to persecute and drive out of public service anyone who is conservative.
00:27:17.320 They want only left wing sheep who will obey their orders to serve in the government.
00:27:24.620 And it is one of the most it's part of the reason they have dug in so hard on these mandates as they view it as an enormous political opportunity.
00:27:34.440 I want to ask you, who is it that is going to basically hold this up now?
00:27:38.960 I understand the politics of it, you know, a year ago, two years ago.
00:27:43.120 Right.
00:27:43.480 But a lot has changed, Senator, since then.
00:27:45.820 You come into a new Congress.
00:27:47.760 There are new members of the House, obviously, new members of the Senate.
00:27:52.580 And there would have been no way this could have happened, I think, two years ago, a year ago, etc.
00:27:57.400 Is there but now and we've seen this in polling among the American people on issues like COVID and vaccine mandates.
00:28:04.320 The majority of Americans are against them.
00:28:06.400 So who is it that's going to really hold this up?
00:28:09.280 Where does the pressure need to go now?
00:28:10.920 So, number one, every Democrat, every Democrat is happy to vote for the vaccine mandates, is happy to leave these thousands of American heroes, of servicemen and women.
00:28:22.220 I've met with Navy SEALs who spent years, decades fighting to defend this country, who were fired because they made a personal decision not to get a COVID vaccine.
00:28:33.440 That is grotesque.
00:28:35.500 Every single Senate Democrat is happy to stand with firing those servicemen and women.
00:28:43.580 And sadly, there are a handful of Republicans who are willing to do so as well.
00:28:49.440 I'm going to tell you, I'm going to keep leading this fight, particularly at a time, as you noted, when we are having massive shortfalls in military recruiting.
00:29:01.000 We need to bring back American heroes.
00:29:03.160 Because we've got Navy SEALs ready to defend this nation, and these idiot ideologues won't let them back into the military.
00:29:11.320 That makes no sense.
00:29:13.300 Now, what are the chances of this happening?
00:29:17.360 If I had to pass my bill in the Senate and to get 60 votes to overcome a filibuster, the chances of it passing would be zero.
00:29:27.600 Every Democrat opposes it, and a handful of Republicans oppose it.
00:29:31.620 So, we would not get to.
00:29:34.120 So, Mitt Romney opposes it.
00:29:36.220 Why?
00:29:36.340 I disagree with him.
00:29:37.080 I don't know.
00:29:38.140 I have had this argument with Mitt.
00:29:39.940 I cannot explain it.
00:29:41.820 You ask Mitt why he opposes it.
00:29:43.580 I don't know.
00:29:45.060 But he opposes it.
00:29:46.400 He's willing to leave these servicemen, men and women, being fired.
00:29:52.340 I'm frustrated by that.
00:29:53.880 And that's one of the shocking ones for so many people that are listening.
00:29:58.000 It's like, where's the logic now, right?
00:30:00.460 In retrospect, we know a hell of a lot more now about the COVID vaccines.
00:30:05.280 We have a lot more of asterisks next to it, right?
00:30:09.820 That it's not just as simple as they try to make it out to be.
00:30:13.600 And to dig in on it now and not admit, hey, we got this wrong.
00:30:18.900 And, by the way, the majority of Americans believe we got vaccine mandates wrong.
00:30:23.100 So, you're going against what, I would assume, the people you represent would want.
00:30:27.640 Yeah.
00:30:28.100 And let me be clear.
00:30:29.400 The mandates were unequivocally wrong.
00:30:32.520 The vaccines were not necessarily.
00:30:34.840 And I think it varied person by person.
00:30:36.880 If you were 88 years old and you had serious comorbidities, I think it made sense for a lot of people to make the choice to get a vaccine.
00:30:47.360 Like, given the risks of COVID, there's a cost-benefit analysis.
00:30:51.760 It's a new vaccine.
00:30:52.760 You didn't know the downsides.
00:30:54.480 But the risk of COVID were serious for vulnerable populations.
00:30:58.700 I think people rationally made the choice.
00:31:01.200 I want to get the vaccine.
00:31:02.560 If you're a healthy 24-year-old man who's a Navy SEAL, it may well have made sense for you to say, I don't need the vaccine.
00:31:13.780 COVID's not going to be that serious for me, and I'm concerned about the downsides.
00:31:17.040 By the way, if you're a 12-year-old child, I think the argument is really powerful that it didn't make sense for you to get the vaccine because COVID with young children has been so relatively mild.
00:31:33.540 Higher death rate of the flu every year for children than of actual COVID.
00:31:37.660 So why would you take that big risk on someone that's so long and based on life expectancy has so many years to live?
00:31:45.900 I mean, even in my own house, everybody in my house had a different COVID vaccine experience.
00:31:53.120 My dad went in the hospital, and he almost died.
00:31:56.760 He came out, and he actually, and this is pre-vaccine, and he came out.
00:32:01.060 He was on oxygen for three and a half, almost four months.
00:32:04.060 Holy cow.
00:32:04.160 He was in great health.
00:32:06.160 My mom, who is a cancer survivor, has a low immune system, has gone through hell with cancer treatment.
00:32:12.180 She had basically a cough the same week, COVID, that my dad had.
00:32:16.200 He went into the hospital for weeks on end, and still, he said it when he was here today because I think it took years off my life going through that.
00:32:25.340 I went to my doctors and said, hey, I have my dad's DNA.
00:32:29.700 I have asthma.
00:32:30.880 I'm not in the best shape I've ever been in my life right now.
00:32:33.740 I'm honest about that.
00:32:35.180 What should I do?
00:32:36.200 Their recommendation was different.
00:32:37.880 But I will say, you're a monstrously good tennis player.
00:32:40.460 Thank you.
00:32:40.600 I played tennis with you.
00:32:42.400 It's a little frightening because, all right, I'm going to slightly brag here.
00:32:48.000 I think I'm in better shape than you are.
00:32:49.540 You are, 100%.
00:32:50.560 I'll admit that.
00:32:51.440 I'm coming for you, though.
00:32:52.500 We got a little competition going.
00:32:54.420 I'm coming for you.
00:32:55.180 Don't worry.
00:32:55.540 In tennis, you can so utterly kick my ass.
00:32:58.360 By the way, I'll take you in hoops.
00:33:00.500 I played two hours of hoops today.
00:33:02.780 I will take you.
00:33:04.020 I'll post you up.
00:33:04.980 I'll shoot on your ass.
00:33:06.720 I'll bet money in a hoops game.
00:33:08.580 But I will not bet money in a tennis game because you will crush me.
00:33:13.240 And we played together.
00:33:14.180 So you know that, too.
00:33:15.580 You know there's a reason why I haven't been saying, hey, when am I getting the invite to the basketball game?
00:33:20.840 I just, that's a strategic thing.
00:33:24.440 I got you.
00:33:26.160 But you look at the decisions that were made by families.
00:33:29.240 My decision was different than my wife's based on my medical history, based on my DNA, based on my chart.
00:33:37.300 And then with my kids, it was a hell no because they were so young.
00:33:41.620 And again, the risk-reward factor here.
00:33:44.280 The Democratic Party and people that you, including Mitt Romney, who think that they should be able to make medical decisions for you that affect how you pay for your kids, the medical care you get later.
00:33:56.880 And that's one part here that you mentioned earlier that I think we should just remind people.
00:34:00.540 If you are discharged not honorably, it changes your lifetime benefits that can affect the medical treatment that you and your children receive.
00:34:11.060 Well, and look, I want to be clear.
00:34:15.260 When it comes to vaccines, I'm not anti-vaccine.
00:34:18.800 I'm not pro-vaccine.
00:34:20.600 I'm pro-individual choice.
00:34:22.980 Bingo.
00:34:23.300 It's your damn decision.
00:34:25.080 You're an adult.
00:34:26.420 Go research it.
00:34:27.580 Go figure it out.
00:34:28.460 If you want to get the vaccine, God bless you.
00:34:30.840 Make that decision.
00:34:31.940 If you don't, God bless you.
00:34:33.740 Make that decision.
00:34:34.760 I believe it's your right to make that decision.
00:34:38.120 And I think Joe Biden and the Democrats were immoral, firing thousands upon thousands of active duty military heroes, American heroes, because they refused to comply with their arbitrary dictate.
00:34:54.180 Yeah.
00:34:54.360 And they hurt a lot of kids and a lot of parents and a lot of people had to move.
00:34:57.660 Yes.
00:34:58.080 And uproot and start all over when they dedicate their lives to protecting and serving this country.
00:35:02.780 Last thing I want to bring up real quick, because I have to play this for you, Senator Kamala Harris.
00:35:09.140 And this week was a big week.
00:35:11.000 You have the Right to Life March that happens all over the country.
00:35:14.820 You have Democrats that were furious this year because of the overturning of Roe v.
00:35:19.240 Wade.
00:35:19.880 This going back to a states rights issue.
00:35:22.520 Kamala Harris.
00:35:23.520 She decided to talk about the Declaration of Independence in a pro-abortion speech, saying that all Americans are endowed with the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
00:35:37.280 But she left out a key word, and I'm sure most people are going to know which word it is.
00:35:41.740 Take a listen.
00:35:42.320 We collectively believe and know America is a promise.
00:35:50.640 America is a promise.
00:35:53.520 It is a promise of freedom and liberty, not for some, but for all.
00:36:07.160 A promise we made in the Declaration of Independence, that we are each endowed with the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
00:36:20.940 Senator, I'm just going to stop there.
00:36:27.140 She missed a word in a pro-abortion speech.
00:36:30.440 There's a key word there that she missed, and I'm pretty sure you heard it the way I did.
00:36:35.160 The word she left out was life.
00:36:36.940 Yes, look, as you know, there are very few things that I hold more dear to my heart than the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, than the protections of our fundamental liberties.
00:36:53.960 And to listen to her, that embodies both the ignorance of the modern Democrat Party, but also the utter contempt for our rights.
00:37:06.140 So the words that Thomas Jefferson, at age 33, penned in the Declaration, and I'm not reading these, we hold these truths to be self-evident.
00:37:16.480 That all men are created equal.
00:37:19.260 Somehow she forgot all men are created equal.
00:37:21.340 She said truths that are self-evident, but all men are created equal, nowhere to be found.
00:37:26.260 That they are endowed by their creator.
00:37:33.640 Where were the words by their creator in what she said?
00:37:37.000 Apparently God is erased in this.
00:37:40.100 That they are endowed by their creator with unalienable rights.
00:37:45.200 That among these are the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
00:37:54.260 Those may have been the most glorious words ever penned by man outside of the Bible.
00:38:05.140 It was a bold vision for the future of the natural rights of mankind.
00:38:11.520 Going back to John Locke.
00:38:13.480 So if you look at John Locke, the British philosopher, he had posited for years, and beautifully, and the founders were all very familiar with John Locke,
00:38:23.640 that the natural rights of all people were life, liberty, and property.
00:38:28.780 Those were usually the triumvirate, life, liberty, and property.
00:38:33.120 When it came to the Declaration, they contemplated including life, liberty, and property.
00:38:37.840 The reason they excluded the word property is because Jefferson did not want to embrace in the Declaration a word that could be used to justify slavery.
00:38:52.000 And there's an irony to this, and listen, there were ironies in our nation's history.
00:38:58.260 Good and extraordinary men who fought for justice and freedom and equality were also inexplicably slaveholders.
00:39:08.020 Jefferson was a slaveholder.
00:39:09.220 The man who penned the words, we hold these rights to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, was a slaveholder.
00:39:18.220 I don't know how you write those words while owning slaves.
00:39:21.760 That is a discontinuity that is difficult to understand.
00:39:28.200 But the reason that the word property was omitted from that and replaced with pursuit of happiness was because Jefferson and the other people who wrote the Declaration did not want language in there that was seen as a defense of slavery.
00:39:45.420 For Kamala Harris, number one, okay, listen, I served with Kamala.
00:39:51.700 We were in the Senate together.
00:39:53.540 She has no idea what's in the Declaration of Independence.
00:39:57.020 I feel certain if somebody pointed a TV camera at you and said, I will give you $1 million today if you can quote what the Declaration says about the truths that are self-evident.
00:40:12.880 I think the chances are 0.0% she could answer that.
00:40:18.740 She doesn't know.
00:40:20.600 What's interesting about those remarks, she wasn't ad-libbing.
00:40:27.240 That's not her riffing on her own.
00:40:30.900 Somebody wrote that.
00:40:32.700 Yeah, it was clear that she was reading a teleprompter when you watched the video of it.
00:40:36.820 It's obvious that these were predetermined words that she was reading.
00:40:43.460 Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in the Democrat Party is, never mind life.
00:40:48.580 We don't like the right to life.
00:40:52.180 We're not going to acknowledge it.
00:40:53.940 And we think that a bunch of left-wing pro-abortion activists, when you say, the right to liberty and pursuit of happiness, will go, yeah!
00:41:01.080 Never mind that life thing.
00:41:04.260 Yeah.
00:41:04.400 It is stunning.
00:41:06.880 And it's, listen, people of good conscience and good morals can disagree on the question of abortion.
00:41:13.340 I'm pro-life.
00:41:15.080 You're pro-life.
00:41:16.200 I believe we should protect the right to life.
00:41:19.300 But I understand those people who disagree.
00:41:22.320 It is not an easy question.
00:41:24.080 It is a difficult question of morality, of law.
00:41:29.420 law, it places in tension the woman's right to liberty with the child's right to life.
00:41:39.060 And those two rights, both of which are rights endowed by our creator, those rights are in tension.
00:41:47.740 Now, I believe that the listing of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, I think that's a hierarchy.
00:41:53.800 I think the first right is life.
00:41:56.300 And I think you have a right to liberty, but you don't have a right to liberty that violates the right to life of another human being.
00:42:05.440 And so you can have a reasonable, principled argument, and this is something people struggle about.
00:42:12.840 It's a personal issue.
00:42:14.220 It's an emotional issue.
00:42:15.560 I understand that.
00:42:16.900 But Kamala Harris doesn't acknowledge any of that.
00:42:19.960 She is just being a rabid partisan.
00:42:22.840 And by the way, look, Kamala is part of the same Democrat Party that just voted a couple of weeks ago against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act,
00:42:34.600 against legislation that would say that if in the course of an abortion a child is born, the child is alive, the child is breathing, the child is outside the womb,
00:42:45.100 so you have an infant, you can't kill the infant, you can't allow the infant to die.
00:42:51.700 You must save the infant if the child is born.
00:42:57.580 Virtually every single Democrat in the House of Representatives voted against that legislation.
00:43:04.200 In normal circles, how do you explain that?
00:43:07.080 Yeah, that's a new type of evil.
00:43:08.340 It's a new level of evil, and I describe that as evil.
00:43:11.440 And that's the reason why when people say, I don't know how you're so involved politically,
00:43:15.080 I say you think of it as politics, I think of it as an issue of right and wrong and fighting for things like this.
00:43:22.520 These are the issues that I stay engaged on that to me is my mission field.
00:43:27.880 Because when you can see such a quick disregard in a nation for the rights of an infant child that had been born,
00:43:37.200 and they say, no, no, no, that was supposed to be an abortion, so let's just keep doing it.
00:43:41.620 I'm not going to just turn the other way and act like that's not happening and that's not wrong.
00:43:45.920 And I think that's why so many people stand up for the rights of the unborn in this country.
00:43:50.540 And that's the reason why I think we had this incredible victory this year with Roe v. Wade being overturned going back to the states.
00:43:56.620 Well, and you should ask, why is it that the White House political staffers,
00:44:02.520 when they wrote the speech that Kamala was reading on the teleprompter,
00:44:07.520 Thomas Jefferson laid out three rights endowed by our creator, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
