00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.580 Guaranteed human.
00:00:04.320 Welcome.
00:00:05.040 It is Verdict with Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:08.080 And this is a bonus episode of Verdict.
00:00:11.760 Senator, I appreciate you taking the time.
00:00:14.620 You just landed.
00:00:15.540 And this obviously is news that is rocking the country.
00:00:19.680 The Attorney General, Merrick Garland,
00:00:22.040 someone that you called for there should be investigated
00:00:25.100 and should be impeached for the job
00:00:27.880 that he has done in your new book.
00:00:30.000 He has now come out, made an announcement,
00:00:32.860 making it clear that he is going to war with Donald Trump
00:00:36.840 and trying to make it where he wouldn't even be able
00:00:39.020 to be the president ever again.
00:00:41.300 He said this earlier.
00:00:43.260 Based on recent developments,
00:00:45.640 including the former president's announcement
00:00:47.620 that he is a candidate for president in the next election
00:00:50.380 and the sitting president's stated intention
00:00:53.160 to be a candidate as well,
00:00:55.580 I have concluded that it is in the public interest
00:00:58.480 to appoint a special counsel.
00:01:01.300 Such an appointment underscores the department's commitment
00:01:05.200 to both independence and accountability
00:01:08.180 in particularly sensitive matters.
00:01:11.360 It also allows prosecutors and agents
00:01:13.420 to continue their work expeditiously
00:01:15.300 and to make decisions indisputably guided
00:01:18.500 only by the facts and the law.
00:01:22.320 The special counsel will conduct parts of the first investigation
00:01:26.140 I just mentioned.
00:01:27.680 The investigation into whether any person or entity
00:01:30.540 unlawfully interfered with the transfer of power
00:01:33.500 following the 2020 presidential election
00:01:36.460 or with the certification of the Electoral College vote
00:01:39.620 held on or about January 6th.
00:01:42.680 Senator, you tweeted about this earlier
00:01:44.780 and it's just two days after the president announced
00:01:47.940 that he's going to run for a third time
00:01:50.240 and this is how they respond to that decision.
00:01:53.660 Your thoughts?
00:01:54.460 Well, we predicted on verdict weeks ago
00:01:59.120 that the Department of Justice
00:02:01.320 was going to indict Donald Trump.
00:02:03.920 That Joe Biden wants them to indict Donald Trump.
00:02:07.900 That Merrick Garland wants to indict Donald Trump.
00:02:12.040 This is part and parcel
00:02:13.600 with the whole-scale politicization
00:02:16.640 of the Department of Justice
00:02:18.560 and the FBI and law enforcement
00:02:20.580 under first Barack Obama
00:02:22.700 and now even more blatantly under Joe Biden.
00:02:26.540 And appointing a special counsel
00:02:28.640 is window dressing.
00:02:31.120 It is designed for Merrick Garland to say,
00:02:33.800 oh, who me?
00:02:35.000 Gosh, no, I have nothing to say about it.
00:02:37.760 It's the special counsel that's doing the indictment.
00:02:40.540 And you remember when we said this
00:02:42.080 was when DOJ leaked the news
00:02:45.460 that they intended to indict Hunter Biden.
00:02:48.820 That was, and we've talked at some length about it,
00:02:52.160 I believe they're deliberately focusing
00:02:54.000 on the personal aspects of Hunter Biden,
00:02:57.100 his substance abuse and tax issues,
00:02:59.120 rather than the official corruption
00:03:01.280 that directly implicates Joe Biden.
00:03:04.280 But the other reason they leaked
00:03:06.480 their intentions about Hunter Biden
00:03:08.560 was to set the stage for this,
00:03:10.780 for them going after Donald J. Trump directly
00:03:13.940 and to say, gosh, look how even-handed we are.
00:03:17.140 We're indicting a Biden, we're indicting a Trump.
00:03:19.660 We're just right in the middle of the road.
00:03:21.640 This is politics.
00:03:23.480 It is an abuse of power, and it is wrong.
00:03:26.520 Senator, this is, and I think one of the points here
00:03:29.380 that should be brought up,
00:03:31.020 is this is exactly what you talked about
00:03:34.760 and went into such great detail in your book.
00:03:37.900 And this is the reason why I would tell you
00:03:39.580 if you haven't bought your book yet, do it.
00:03:41.480 I've read the book, and it's like, oh, wow.
00:03:44.640 This is how rogue this administration has gone.
00:03:47.380 Not only have they tried to overthrow
00:03:48.920 the will of the people in the 2016 elections,
00:03:51.820 they tried to undermine the president
00:03:53.200 the entire time he's here.
00:03:54.160 They knew that they were hiding information
00:03:56.120 that would vindicate Donald Trump
00:03:57.960 from any connection to Russia.
00:03:59.260 They knew that the dossier was paid for
00:04:01.980 by the Democrat National Committee,
00:04:03.380 and they knew that it was paid for
00:04:05.380 by Hillary Clinton's campaign.
00:04:06.980 And they knew that that information,
00:04:08.460 which they had categorized as clearly being,
00:04:11.720 as they described it, user-created,
00:04:15.320 meaning the people that brought it to them
00:04:16.720 created it out of thin air.
00:04:18.440 They waited and sat and watched
00:04:21.060 as the president of the United States of America
00:04:23.100 was in an impeachment trial over information.
00:04:25.380 They could have walked out and said,
00:04:26.640 none of this is real.
00:04:28.340 And now they're saying, basically,
00:04:30.040 we didn't get you last time.
00:04:31.920 It's almost like double jeopardy from the DOJ.
00:04:34.700 Well, look, that's exactly right.
00:04:36.060 This is precisely what my brand new book talks about.
00:04:39.980 The book is Justice Corrupted,
00:04:41.680 How the Left Has Weaponized the Legal System.
00:04:44.460 And it walks the reader through
00:04:46.340 how Barack Obama turned the Department of Justice
00:04:49.280 of the IRS and the FBI
00:04:50.820 into his political enforcement squad.
00:04:53.900 It then walks the reader through
00:04:55.480 how those hard partisans
00:04:57.560 burrowed into senior career positions
00:05:00.840 and waged war on the president
00:05:04.480 of the United States, Donald Trump,
00:05:06.440 in a way that has never happened
00:05:07.700 in our nation's history.
00:05:08.760 And then it walks the reader through
00:05:10.980 how under Joe Biden,
00:05:12.360 it is fully metastasized,
00:05:14.580 where Merrick Garland
00:05:16.440 is the most political attorney general
00:05:18.540 our country has ever seen,
00:05:20.620 whether it is the FBI raiding Mar-a-Lago,
00:05:23.640 the home of a former president,
00:05:25.120 never happened before in our nation's history,
00:05:27.680 whether it is the FBI targeting parents
00:05:30.880 who speak up at school boards
00:05:33.420 and treating them as domestic terrorists,
00:05:35.620 whether it is the FBI raiding the homes
00:05:38.420 of pro-life activists with machine guns drawn.
00:05:41.480 All of this is an extension of the view
00:05:44.220 that the FBI and the Department of Justice
00:05:47.680 are now partisan weapons
00:05:50.820 to be deployed by the Democrats,
00:05:52.860 and their intention is to indict Donald Trump
00:05:56.820 because they hate him.
00:05:58.420 This is Trump derangement syndrome,
00:06:00.940 but this time with a gun and a badge.
00:06:04.100 Let me ask this.
00:06:05.500 What does the definition of success look like
00:06:08.840 for Democrats and the DOJ?
00:06:12.480 I'm not even sure it's get anything
00:06:15.380 where he's guilty.
00:06:17.760 Is it just getting an indictment of Donald Trump?
00:06:20.860 Explain the politics of this.
00:06:22.820 We have two years until the presidential elections.
00:06:26.820 What do they need to do and accomplish
00:06:28.980 at the minimum to basically derail
00:06:32.840 a candidate's ability
00:06:35.000 to run a successful campaign for the presidency?
00:06:38.060 And you notice I asked you that question
00:06:39.720 without Donald Trump's name involved,
00:06:41.280 because if they can do it to Donald Trump,
00:06:43.240 they could do it to basically anybody
00:06:45.160 that's on the Republican side
00:06:46.880 that decides to run
00:06:48.000 if this is a game plan
00:06:49.340 of how to make it where
00:06:50.380 you're the candidate we don't like
00:06:52.040 and we're going to come after you
00:06:53.340 and then we'll make you basically ineligible.
00:06:55.520 Well, and in the book Justice Corrupted,
00:06:59.260 I walk through how they did this
00:07:01.200 to Ted Stevens,
00:07:02.180 who was then the longest serving senator,
00:07:05.880 Republican senator from Alaska,
00:07:07.440 and they indicted him right before the election,
00:07:09.960 and it ended up causing him to be defeated.
00:07:13.620 It cost him his seat,
00:07:15.280 and afterwards,
00:07:16.060 I walk through all of the prosecutorial misconduct.
00:07:20.320 It's one of the greatest abuses of power,
00:07:24.280 and that was carried out for political purposes.
00:07:26.940 They want to do the same playbook here.
00:07:29.000 And to indict someone,
00:07:31.140 what it means legally to indict someone
00:07:33.160 is to bring formal charges.
00:07:35.260 And so a grand jury votes out an indictment.
00:07:39.760 Now, the grand jury doesn't get to hear
00:07:42.920 from the defendant.
00:07:43.840 The grand jury doesn't get to hear
00:07:45.760 the other side of the argument.
00:07:47.340 It's the prosecutor bringing witnesses
00:07:50.120 and putting evidence before the grand jury.
00:07:52.280 There's an old line
00:07:53.200 that a prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich,
00:07:57.020 and there's a lot of truth to that.
00:07:58.580 There's enormous power
00:08:00.280 that a prosecutor has,
00:08:02.400 and it's why it is so dangerous
00:08:04.240 when it is weaponized like this,
00:08:06.820 when it is used as a tool
00:08:08.520 of political retribution.
00:08:10.400 And I believe their intention
00:08:11.680 is to get an indictment,
00:08:14.300 I think likely in the District of Columbia,
00:08:16.360 because they know the jury pool
00:08:18.040 is so skewed Democrat
00:08:20.760 that they don't believe
00:08:23.360 Trump can get a fair shake there,
00:08:25.200 which is what they want.
00:08:26.640 And then I think they want to try
00:08:28.300 to prosecute him.
00:08:29.240 They want to try to convict Trump.
00:08:33.360 These guys are zealots,
00:08:35.020 and they have behaved as zealots
00:08:37.660 from the very first day
00:08:40.520 they took the oath of office.
00:08:42.840 Do they fast-track this then?
00:08:44.420 I mean, is that the goal here,
00:08:46.000 that the holy grail for them
00:08:47.300 is you fast-track an indictment,
00:08:49.540 you then get him
00:08:50.420 where you can put this up
00:08:51.720 basically on trial.
00:08:53.080 If you can find him guilty
00:08:54.560 of any of these charges
00:08:55.800 in the District of Columbia,
00:08:58.340 is he then ineligible
00:09:00.080 to be president
00:09:01.020 of the United States of America
00:09:02.360 at that point?
00:09:03.220 No, I don't think
00:09:05.100 that's going to happen.
00:09:06.220 They may have dreams
00:09:07.880 of legally barring him
00:09:09.100 from running,
00:09:09.760 but that ain't going to happen.
00:09:11.280 I think the chances of that
00:09:12.800 are minuscule.
00:09:14.140 But what their plan is,
00:09:15.340 listen, we've seen them
00:09:16.200 run this playbook before.
00:09:18.280 They did it when Trump
00:09:19.760 was president with not one,
00:09:21.300 but two impeachment trials
00:09:24.020 that were designed
00:09:24.900 just to drag Trump
00:09:26.260 through the mud,
00:09:27.160 to beat up on him
00:09:27.960 day after day after day.
00:09:29.860 And they did that
00:09:31.060 in because they were
00:09:34.240 waging a political campaign.
00:09:36.520 We've seen it
00:09:37.440 the last two years
00:09:38.640 with the January 6th
00:09:40.460 kangaroo committee
00:09:41.300 in the House.
00:09:42.440 That was a partisan presentation.
00:09:45.940 It's not a congressional committee.
00:09:47.140 A congressional committee
00:09:48.100 has both sides represented.
00:09:51.560 In this instance,
00:09:52.320 Nancy Pelosi refused
00:09:54.240 to let the Republicans
00:09:55.560 appoint their members.
00:09:56.540 She wanted to not have
00:09:59.440 anyone who would be
00:10:01.840 supportive of Trump
00:10:02.860 on the committee.
00:10:04.660 And so she put together
00:10:05.920 what was essentially
00:10:07.100 a giant campaign commercial.
00:10:09.200 Now, the January 6th committee
00:10:10.900 is going away
00:10:11.780 because Republicans
00:10:14.000 have retaken the House.
00:10:15.880 So apparently,
00:10:17.620 Merrick Garland
00:10:18.200 and the Department of Justice
00:10:19.240 are stepping forward
00:10:20.160 saying, okay, we got this.
00:10:21.540 It's our turn now
00:10:22.580 to, after the indictment,
00:10:24.740 to have a daily drip
00:10:26.200 of leaks,
00:10:27.660 which DOJ isn't
00:10:28.500 supposed to be leaking.
00:10:30.240 And an effort,
00:10:32.180 you know,
00:10:33.020 they,
00:10:34.760 the White House,
00:10:35.780 the Department of Justice,
00:10:37.080 the partisans
00:10:37.780 at the FBI,
00:10:39.020 they hate Donald Trump.
00:10:41.180 And they just,
00:10:42.240 they see red
00:10:43.200 when they see him.
00:10:44.520 And the length
00:10:45.640 they're willing to go
00:10:46.780 is wrong.
00:10:47.540 And I got to tell you, Ben,
00:10:48.480 I hear from FBI agents
00:10:51.120 all the time
00:10:52.300 who are horrified
00:10:53.940 at what is happening
00:10:54.760 to the FBI.
00:10:55.960 I hear from prosecutors
00:10:58.280 at DOJ
00:10:59.320 repeatedly
00:11:00.540 who are horrified
00:11:02.000 at what is happening
00:11:02.940 to DOJ.
00:11:04.120 This is not
00:11:05.080 the line prosecutors.
00:11:06.260 This is not
00:11:07.220 the line FBI agents.
00:11:09.680 This is the political brass
00:11:11.520 and the senior career officials
00:11:14.380 where they've allowed
00:11:15.800 partisans
00:11:16.680 to burrow in
00:11:18.100 and use it
00:11:20.000 as a political weapon.
00:11:21.900 And,
00:11:21.920 and mark my words,
00:11:24.460 the reason
00:11:25.740 a special prosecutor
00:11:26.940 was appointed
00:11:27.700 was they intend
00:11:29.900 to indict
00:11:30.600 Donald Trump.
00:11:32.000 That's the takeaway
00:11:32.720 from the news
00:11:34.160 that came out yesterday.
00:11:35.660 Two last,
00:11:36.180 two questions
00:11:36.660 for you left
00:11:37.440 as we do this special
00:11:38.740 bonus pod
00:11:40.760 because of the news
00:11:41.780 of today.
00:11:42.920 Senator,
00:11:43.740 let's go back
00:11:45.280 to 2016.
00:11:46.960 Merrick Garland
00:11:48.640 was nominated
00:11:49.260 to the Supreme Court
00:11:50.260 by then President
00:11:51.120 Barack Obama
00:11:51.900 in March of 2016.
00:11:54.160 The Senate never voted
00:11:55.300 on his nomination.
00:11:57.220 How much of this
00:11:58.140 could be the motivation
00:11:59.280 of just pure revenge
00:12:00.840 for Garland
00:12:01.420 because he,
00:12:02.000 he,
00:12:02.380 he is angry
00:12:03.760 and upset
00:12:04.320 that he's not
00:12:05.060 on the Supreme Court
00:12:05.880 of the United States
00:12:06.620 of America.
00:12:07.200 Do you think
00:12:08.280 that's playing
00:12:08.940 into some of this
00:12:09.680 where it's just
00:12:10.120 straight up revenge
00:12:11.080 for Donald Trump
00:12:11.960 winning that election
00:12:12.840 and,
00:12:13.460 and Republicans,
00:12:14.840 this is payback
00:12:15.920 for not giving him
00:12:17.160 a vote that he wanted?
00:12:18.600 Look,
00:12:19.000 it's hard to imagine
00:12:20.180 that that's not
00:12:20.860 a significant factor.
00:12:23.140 Many of the Senate Democrats
00:12:24.740 still see
00:12:26.080 at the fact
00:12:27.900 that the Senate
00:12:28.440 Republican majority
00:12:29.640 followed the voters' wishes
00:12:31.460 and said,
00:12:32.080 we've been given
00:12:32.560 a majority
00:12:33.160 and when there's
00:12:34.720 a vacancy
00:12:35.300 that occurs
00:12:36.000 in a presidential
00:12:36.580 election year,
00:12:37.720 a Senate of an opposing
00:12:38.720 party
00:12:39.200 doesn't fill
00:12:40.460 that vacancy
00:12:41.200 and that goes back
00:12:42.120 many,
00:12:42.480 many decades.
00:12:43.000 The voters gave
00:12:44.620 Republicans a majority
00:12:45.760 in 2014
00:12:46.380 in the Senate
00:12:47.220 and one of the big things
00:12:48.520 that we campaigned on
00:12:50.100 was stopping
00:12:51.360 radical left-wing judges
00:12:52.820 but Merrick Garland,
00:12:54.840 Democrat senators,
00:12:55.920 the White House,
00:12:56.720 they all resent
00:12:58.560 that furiously
00:12:59.680 and,
00:13:01.080 you know,
00:13:01.200 look,
00:13:01.400 it's worth pointing out.
00:13:02.920 So sometimes
00:13:03.920 with a special counsel,
00:13:06.140 you see someone
00:13:07.660 that they're trying
00:13:08.540 to get
00:13:09.060 some credibility for
00:13:11.140 so you sometimes
00:13:12.340 see a special counsel
00:13:13.540 that is of the opposing
00:13:15.500 political party
00:13:16.400 to say,
00:13:16.860 well,
00:13:16.960 gosh,
00:13:18.040 you know,
00:13:18.360 this is a prominent
00:13:19.100 Republican we're going
00:13:20.000 to use.
00:13:21.020 What is interesting
00:13:21.900 about this fellow,
00:13:22.880 the fellow that Merrick
00:13:24.200 Garland named
00:13:24.880 is a guy named
00:13:26.060 Jack Smith.
00:13:27.340 I don't know him.
00:13:28.520 I'm not familiar
00:13:29.300 with him.
00:13:29.920 So we just have
00:13:31.440 the news
00:13:32.220 that is percolating
00:13:33.160 out in the opening
00:13:35.120 hours,
00:13:35.660 but he's someone
00:13:36.540 who was a career
00:13:38.400 prosecutor
00:13:38.980 for a long time.
00:13:40.520 He was the prosecutor
00:13:41.640 at The Hague
00:13:42.340 prosecuting war crimes.
00:13:44.720 But I can tell you this,
00:13:46.540 the folks at DOJ,
00:13:48.860 they know his politics.
00:13:50.340 100%
00:13:51.400 they know his politics.
00:13:53.360 One of the things
00:13:54.040 that I walk through
00:13:54.920 in the book
00:13:56.100 Justice Corrupted
00:13:57.200 is how
00:13:58.280 with the Lois Lerner scandal,
00:13:59.740 you remember
00:14:00.120 under Barack Obama,
00:14:01.760 the IRS
00:14:02.340 was targeting
00:14:03.440 conservatives,
00:14:04.440 targeting Tea Party
00:14:05.240 activists,
00:14:05.960 targeting pro-Israel
00:14:07.320 activists,
00:14:07.940 targeting pro-life
00:14:08.720 activists.
00:14:09.300 And when the news
00:14:10.560 broke,
00:14:10.920 it was a huge
00:14:11.640 scandal,
00:14:12.760 so much so
00:14:13.800 that Barack Obama
00:14:14.860 gave a news conference
00:14:16.700 from the White House
00:14:17.600 where he said,
00:14:18.780 I am angry
00:14:19.660 and the American people
00:14:21.840 have a right
00:14:22.340 to be angry.
00:14:22.980 He understood
00:14:23.540 just how bad
00:14:25.500 it was to politicize
00:14:26.960 the IRS
00:14:27.540 and law enforcement.
00:14:29.220 And what ended up
00:14:30.040 happening
00:14:30.460 is the prosecutor
00:14:32.720 they put in charge
00:14:34.580 of this
00:14:35.020 at DOJ
00:14:35.800 was a major
00:14:37.980 Democrat donor
00:14:39.200 who'd given
00:14:39.640 over $6,000
00:14:40.840 to Barack Obama
00:14:42.140 and to the DNC.
00:14:44.220 And wonder of wonders,
00:14:46.000 that major
00:14:46.700 Democrat donor
00:14:47.740 refused to bring
00:14:49.520 charges.
00:14:50.120 And DOJ
00:14:50.680 then stonewalled
00:14:51.640 Congress.
00:14:52.860 Lois Lerner
00:14:53.580 refused to testify.
00:14:55.700 She pleaded the fifth.
00:14:56.640 She was held
00:14:57.040 in contempt of Congress.
00:14:58.440 And the Department
00:14:59.220 of Justice
00:14:59.680 refused to prosecute her.
00:15:00.940 And it blockaded
00:15:03.500 any effort
00:15:04.160 to hold her accountable.
00:15:06.160 Merrick Garland
00:15:06.880 knows exactly
00:15:07.860 what he is doing
00:15:09.000 in appointing
00:15:11.320 this prosecutor.
00:15:13.340 And the news media,
00:15:15.760 which sadly today
00:15:17.200 is thoroughly corrupt,
00:15:19.740 will try to pitch him
00:15:21.260 as a nonpartisan,
00:15:23.040 given every other behavior
00:15:24.820 from this attorney general.
00:15:27.440 I think the chances
00:15:28.580 that this prosecutor
00:15:30.580 does not loathe
00:15:32.840 Donald Trump
00:15:33.620 are essentially zero.
00:15:36.900 Lastly,
00:15:37.700 and we're going to be
00:15:38.580 doing a video podcast,
00:15:39.920 we're going to break down
00:15:40.640 this story a lot more.
00:15:42.860 So get ready for that
00:15:43.740 this coming week on Monday.
00:15:44.920 We'll have that for you.
00:15:45.940 Plus, we'll have the audio.
00:15:47.140 So make sure you subscribe
00:15:48.040 and download
00:15:48.940 Verdict with Ted Cruz.
00:15:50.740 It is free.
00:15:51.540 You hit that subscribe
00:15:52.340 or auto download button
00:15:53.380 and you'll get the episodes
00:15:54.380 each and every day.
00:15:55.660 But lastly,
00:15:56.340 put this in perspective
00:15:57.540 in a historical context,
00:15:59.380 Senator,
00:15:59.940 of just how radical
00:16:01.900 what we are witnessing now
00:16:03.900 is comparing it
00:16:05.260 to other countries.
00:16:06.660 This is,
00:16:07.400 I truly believe,
00:16:08.900 a sad day for this nation.
00:16:10.840 It was a sad day
00:16:12.060 and a slippery slope
00:16:13.220 when the president's home
00:16:14.280 was raided at Mar-a-Lago.
00:16:16.020 The fact that a former
00:16:16.840 president's home
00:16:17.480 would be raided,
00:16:18.540 it was a day
00:16:19.480 where I was worried
00:16:20.500 that we would never
00:16:21.060 come back from it.
00:16:22.380 Now watching what's happened
00:16:23.800 then moving forward,
00:16:25.220 trying to take out
00:16:26.160 the president,
00:16:26.880 put him in handcuffs,
00:16:27.920 convict him,
00:16:28.520 put him in jail.
00:16:30.060 How concerned are you
00:16:31.300 about just this nation
00:16:33.080 in general?
00:16:34.020 Because this is something
00:16:35.000 we've never seen
00:16:35.780 in this country
00:16:36.380 and now the Democrats
00:16:37.200 are actively doing it
00:16:38.380 in a revenge mode.
00:16:40.380 Yeah, look,
00:16:40.920 that's exactly right.
00:16:42.520 We have had 46 presidents
00:16:44.200 in our nation's history.
00:16:46.780 No president
00:16:47.580 has ever tried to do this.
00:16:50.380 We've had presidents
00:16:51.320 switch from one party
00:16:52.500 to the other.
00:16:52.980 And listen,
00:16:53.460 you see in banana republics,
00:16:55.200 you see in tin pot
00:16:57.120 dictatorships,
00:16:58.240 when one party
00:16:59.600 takes control
00:17:00.560 of the government,
00:17:01.820 they go after
00:17:02.960 their predecessors,
00:17:04.020 they prosecute them,
00:17:04.940 they lock them up
00:17:05.520 and put them in jail.
00:17:07.080 And that,
00:17:08.100 sadly,
00:17:08.580 in places where
00:17:09.560 rule of law
00:17:11.100 is not respected,
00:17:13.600 that's fairly typical
00:17:15.020 of abusive
00:17:16.260 and tyrannical governments.
00:17:19.120 The United States
00:17:20.020 has never,
00:17:21.040 ever,
00:17:21.640 ever done that.
00:17:23.620 Until now,
00:17:24.560 until Joe Biden
00:17:25.680 and this politicized
00:17:27.620 Department of Justice,
00:17:29.000 they hate Trump so much
00:17:30.800 and they are so
00:17:32.540 self-righteous
00:17:34.120 and sure
00:17:34.820 of their own
00:17:35.680 partisan position,
00:17:37.640 they also know
00:17:38.920 because the corporate media
00:17:41.200 has been so corrupted
00:17:42.460 that the media
00:17:43.500 will not hold into account
00:17:44.640 that they could abuse
00:17:45.980 the Department of Justice
00:17:47.400 and the FBI
00:17:48.140 and not expect
00:17:49.580 any meaningful scrutiny.
00:17:51.580 that is
00:17:53.340 incredibly dangerous,
00:17:55.120 but it is
00:17:56.160 where we are today.
00:17:57.220 It's incredible.
00:17:58.160 We're going to have,
00:17:58.840 like I said,
00:17:59.500 another pod,
00:18:00.340 an extended,
00:18:01.220 you know,
00:18:01.480 normal length one
00:18:02.400 on Monday for you
00:18:04.140 that will also be
00:18:04.900 with video
00:18:05.420 so you can watch it
00:18:06.180 on YouTube.
00:18:07.360 Senator,
00:18:07.860 thanks for taking
00:18:08.560 the time tonight.
00:18:09.380 I know you've had
00:18:09.780 a busy schedule today
00:18:10.600 and I know you want
00:18:11.520 to talk to the people,
00:18:12.320 let them know exactly
00:18:12.940 what you thought about this
00:18:14.060 because this is going
00:18:15.020 to be a very big topic
00:18:16.100 of conversation
00:18:16.860 and a sad moment,
00:18:18.360 I think,
00:18:18.600 in American history
00:18:19.520 and we will see
00:18:20.460 all of you guys
00:18:21.420 back here on Monday.
00:18:23.620 Don't forget,
00:18:24.420 share this podcast
00:18:25.480 wherever you're listening
00:18:26.820 to it right now,
00:18:27.680 text it to your family
00:18:28.600 and friends,
00:18:29.580 write us a five-star review
00:18:30.860 for the podcast
00:18:31.600 so we reach more conservatives
00:18:32.940 and we'll see you back here
00:18:34.260 on Monday morning.
