00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.580 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.380 Welcome.
00:00:06.080 It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz.
00:00:08.020 Ben Ferguson with you, Senator.
00:00:10.020 It is the day after Easter,
00:00:12.540 but the White House wouldn't want you to know
00:00:14.560 that Easter even happened on Sunday.
00:00:16.740 They were too obsessed with making sure
00:00:18.620 that everybody knew about the
00:00:19.780 See Everybody That's Transgender Day.
00:00:22.520 Well, listen, I hope everyone had a wonderful
00:00:24.700 and blessed Easter yesterday.
00:00:26.620 I hope you had a weekend with your family
00:00:28.320 where you gave thanks to God for God's blessings.
00:00:31.240 And I got to say, right in the middle of it,
00:00:33.460 seeing the Biden White House say essentially
00:00:36.480 Easter doesn't happen in this White House,
00:00:39.020 that their woke priorities,
00:00:41.340 Trump and any recognition of Christianity
00:00:44.380 or even acknowledgement of Christianity is really sad.
00:00:48.140 We're also going to talk in this episode today
00:00:51.020 about California's new $20 minimum wage law,
00:00:54.660 which sadly is having exactly the predicted effect
00:00:58.340 of causing thousands upon thousands
00:01:00.220 of workers to lose their jobs.
00:01:02.160 Fast food restaurants all across California
00:01:03.940 are laying off workers
00:01:04.960 because woke politicians do not understand
00:01:07.660 basic supply and demand.
00:01:09.520 And third, we're going to revisit
00:01:10.860 what happened with Ronna McDaniel.
00:01:12.800 NBC News saying essentially,
00:01:14.380 Republicans need not apply.
00:01:16.160 We are a Democrat-only network.
00:01:18.200 And actually, for a brief moment,
00:01:21.140 the network bigwigs tried to hire a Republican
00:01:23.980 and their on-air talent.
00:01:26.080 All left-wing Democrats lost their minds,
00:01:28.240 lit their hair on fire,
00:01:29.260 and immediately the network execs meekly said,
00:01:32.460 okay.
00:01:33.840 Yeah.
00:01:34.300 We got it wrong.
00:01:35.480 Never mind.
00:01:35.780 We'll fire her.
00:01:36.360 And she read about it in the news,
00:01:38.040 which is insane.
00:01:39.200 That in a moment.
00:01:40.100 But first, let me tell you about her friends
00:01:41.320 over at AmmoSquared.
00:01:42.660 I got to tell you,
00:01:43.720 if you're like me
00:01:44.880 and you're a Second Amendment guy
00:01:46.140 and you want to make sure
00:01:47.260 that you've got ammo
00:01:48.100 and you want to make sure
00:01:49.260 that you don't ever have that feeling again
00:01:51.180 when you went into a store
00:01:52.120 and you couldn't find it,
00:01:54.000 that is where AmmoSquared comes in.
00:01:55.940 They help you stock up on ammunition
00:01:57.760 automatically at amazing pricing.
00:02:00.700 Ammo is delivered on demand
00:02:02.020 or automatically when you need it.
00:02:03.700 So you don't have to deal with going to stores
00:02:05.280 and watch the prices skyrocket
00:02:07.040 and go all over the place
00:02:08.300 or not be able to find it at all.
00:02:10.260 And they store your ammo for free
00:02:12.660 when you don't need it.
00:02:14.100 That's right.
00:02:14.580 They were founded more than eight years ago
00:02:16.000 in the freedom-loving state of Idaho
00:02:17.500 and AmmoSquared is truly automated,
00:02:20.280 set it, forget it,
00:02:21.080 ammo purchasing.
00:02:22.420 Pick your caliber,
00:02:23.360 set your budget,
00:02:24.140 select a shipping trigger,
00:02:25.320 and that's it.
00:02:26.260 Ammo builds up over time
00:02:27.500 and it's delivered automatically
00:02:29.020 when you want it.
00:02:29.740 Now, if prices go through the roof
00:02:31.340 and you want to sell it back,
00:02:33.040 you can do that as well.
00:02:34.880 Over 60 different caliber options
00:02:36.900 are available,
00:02:37.540 including multiple options
00:02:39.340 for calibers such as 9mm,
00:02:41.040 2, 2, 3, 5, 6,
00:02:42.700 and 12-gauge shotgun shells.
00:02:45.060 AmmoSquared is there to help you
00:02:46.720 smooth out the rough spots
00:02:48.280 of ammunition availability.
00:02:50.140 It's like an ammo 401k
00:02:52.020 or ammo savings account.
00:02:53.700 Save up that ammo for rainy days.
00:02:55.840 Store it in their storage.
00:02:58.260 You don't even have to take it
00:02:59.260 at your own home.
00:03:00.340 Go to AmmoSquared.com

00:03:14.100 slash verdict.
00:03:15.240 Senator, it was Easter.
00:03:16.800 It's a day that I love
00:03:18.180 on Sunday
00:03:18.920 because the world stops
00:03:21.260 and that doesn't happen
00:03:22.460 very often
00:03:23.080 and Christians
00:03:24.760 all over the world
00:03:26.080 come together
00:03:26.720 to celebrate
00:03:27.860 the resurrection
00:03:30.020 of Jesus Christ.
00:03:31.480 It is a day
00:03:32.420 when you see people
00:03:33.440 come to church
00:03:34.280 at staggering numbers
00:03:35.520 and come together
00:03:37.000 as families.
00:03:38.240 But you look at
00:03:38.820 the White House
00:03:39.460 and you go to
00:03:39.960 WhiteHouse.gov
00:03:40.940 they had a very
00:03:42.440 different message
00:03:43.760 for Americans.
00:03:44.760 In fact,
00:03:45.680 they tried to hijack
00:03:46.800 I would argue
00:03:47.720 Easter altogether
00:03:48.400 for another woke moment.
00:03:51.200 Well, that's exactly right.
00:03:52.820 The White House
00:03:53.280 put out an announcement
00:03:54.420 on Friday
00:03:55.020 on Good Friday
00:03:56.100 that read
00:03:57.900 quote
00:03:58.400 Now therefore I
00:04:00.080 Joseph R. Biden Jr.
00:04:01.420 President of the United States
00:04:02.560 by virtue of the authority
00:04:03.740 vested in me
00:04:04.600 by the Constitution
00:04:05.640 and the laws
00:04:06.200 of the United States
00:04:07.020 do hereby proclaim
00:04:08.080 March 31st, 2024
00:04:10.080 as Transgender Day of Visibility.
00:04:14.300 Sunday was Easter Sunday.
00:04:16.820 Yeah.
00:04:17.080 Look, listen,
00:04:18.820 as a Christian
00:04:19.400 there is
00:04:21.280 no more important day
00:04:23.460 in the calendar.
00:04:24.280 Listen,
00:04:24.540 Christmas is a wonderful
00:04:25.620 celebration of Jesus' birth
00:04:27.260 but at the end of the day
00:04:28.880 the entirety of Christianity
00:04:30.660 is about Jesus' crucifixion
00:04:33.000 on Good Friday
00:04:33.740 and His resurrection
00:04:34.660 on Easter.
00:04:35.640 Obviously not on those
00:04:36.560 exact days
00:04:37.160 but those are the days
00:04:37.900 we celebrate
00:04:38.820 His dying for our sins
00:04:40.660 and I gotta say
00:04:42.040 for the White House
00:04:43.660 to decide,
00:04:44.520 you know,
00:04:45.460 Easter's not really important.
00:04:47.380 The only thing
00:04:48.380 that matters to us
00:04:49.480 is our politics
00:04:50.480 and nothing matters more
00:04:52.520 than Transgender Day of Visibility.
00:04:55.640 Like,
00:04:56.140 that's truly stunning.
00:04:57.560 Not only is it stunning
00:05:00.280 but it's also
00:05:01.360 one of those moments
00:05:02.680 and people
00:05:03.300 that have not been
00:05:04.540 around the White House
00:05:05.480 this is not by accident
00:05:07.880 and there were even
00:05:08.920 some people going
00:05:09.400 look,
00:05:09.740 you guys are reacting
00:05:10.820 aka Christians
00:05:11.740 they're just acknowledging
00:05:13.680 they didn't create
00:05:14.620 this day,
00:05:15.520 right?
00:05:15.820 The President
00:05:16.160 is just acknowledging
00:05:17.040 this Transgender Visibility Day
00:05:18.920 and this could have been
00:05:20.560 just, you know,
00:05:21.280 doing two things at once
00:05:22.800 and they're not really
00:05:23.640 overlooking Easter.
00:05:26.340 I don't believe that
00:05:27.260 for a moment
00:05:27.860 this is me personally
00:05:28.760 saying that
00:05:29.360 I think this was
00:05:30.620 a deliberate move
00:05:31.520 by this White House
00:05:32.580 to spit in the face
00:05:34.240 of Christians
00:05:34.780 and to say to younger voters
00:05:36.300 that maybe don't believe
00:05:37.140 in God
00:05:37.680 and the extremists
00:05:38.940 on the Democratic side
00:05:40.320 hey,
00:05:41.100 we are your party
00:05:42.260 I think this was
00:05:43.460 deliberate for November
00:05:44.460 because they're trying
00:05:45.320 to sure up younger voters
00:05:46.440 are saying they may
00:05:47.160 stay home
00:05:47.580 and not vote for Joe Biden.
00:05:49.680 Yeah,
00:05:50.260 see I guess
00:05:50.900 I disagree with you
00:05:51.600 on that Ben.
00:05:52.640 I don't really think
00:05:54.320 this was like
00:05:55.280 an overt political decision
00:05:58.000 I think the senior officials
00:05:59.940 at the White House
00:06:00.820 most of them
00:06:01.680 have no idea
00:06:02.280 it's Easter.
00:06:02.880 I think they are
00:06:03.540 so secular
00:06:04.440 I think faith
00:06:05.600 is so distant
00:06:06.620 from their lives
00:06:07.640 that it doesn't
00:06:08.580 even occur to them.
00:06:09.360 I don't think
00:06:10.100 they had a warning sign
00:06:11.040 you know
00:06:11.300 it reminds me of
00:06:12.520 you remember
00:06:13.400 a couple of years ago
00:06:14.320 when Jill Biden
00:06:15.340 was down in San Antonio
00:06:16.540 Texas
00:06:16.960 and she was speaking
00:06:17.980 at a Latinx conference
00:06:19.520 and in her remark
00:06:22.280 she said
00:06:23.040 that Hispanics
00:06:25.580 are as diverse
00:06:26.960 as breakfast tacos
00:06:28.640 which was so
00:06:30.520 utterly offensive
00:06:31.660 my response
00:06:32.740 immediately was
00:06:33.680 well I'm a chorizo
00:06:35.160 egg and cheese
00:06:35.820 so thank you Jill
00:06:36.820 and it truly is
00:06:39.680 but what was
00:06:40.800 interesting about that
00:06:42.080 what was revealing
00:06:42.840 about that
00:06:43.540 it was not a gaffe
00:06:45.520 it was not an
00:06:46.480 off the cuff comment
00:06:47.840 that's the sort of thing
00:06:48.680 Joe Biden might say
00:06:49.800 off the cuff
00:06:50.360 it was written
00:06:51.880 in her remarks
00:06:52.960 which means
00:06:53.480 the political office
00:06:54.680 at the White House
00:06:55.820 signed off on it
00:06:56.840 and they are so
00:06:58.100 woke
00:06:59.340 that to them
00:07:01.360 being condescending
00:07:02.800 to Latinos
00:07:04.120 who they want to call
00:07:05.180 Latinx
00:07:05.740 and by the way
00:07:06.420 anyone who uses
00:07:07.380 the word Latinx
00:07:08.320 I promise you
00:07:09.060 is not a Latino
00:07:09.780 and not a Latina
00:07:10.620 they are a rich
00:07:11.920 white liberal
00:07:12.700 and to them
00:07:14.260 it sounds perfectly
00:07:15.380 perfectly normal
00:07:16.520 to say
00:07:17.060 you cute little
00:07:18.360 Latinx's
00:07:19.200 are as diverse
00:07:19.920 as tacos
00:07:20.540 I think it's
00:07:22.440 the same sort
00:07:23.020 of thing here
00:07:23.620 they put this out
00:07:25.460 and all of them
00:07:26.700 I actually think
00:07:28.120 they're home
00:07:28.640 celebrating
00:07:29.320 Transgender Day
00:07:30.160 of Visibility
00:07:30.740 they're not
00:07:31.480 not really aware
00:07:32.740 it's Easter
00:07:33.280 I guess they know
00:07:33.900 that there
00:07:34.280 there are a lot
00:07:35.480 of bunny rabbits
00:07:36.260 around for some reason
00:07:37.340 but I don't know
00:07:37.860 that they could
00:07:38.220 tell you why
00:07:38.920 all right
00:07:39.600 so let me ask you
00:07:40.500 this
00:07:40.740 let's go with
00:07:41.500 your theory
00:07:41.900 for a second
00:07:42.520 because I
00:07:43.900 there's a
00:07:44.740 there's definitely
00:07:45.800 a chance
00:07:46.280 that you're
00:07:46.740 correct on
00:07:47.300 this
00:07:47.620 but the
00:07:48.500 White House
00:07:48.960 spokesman
00:07:49.420 the truth
00:07:49.760 is probably
00:07:50.260 the truth
00:07:50.960 is probably
00:07:51.420 some of
00:07:51.860 both
00:07:52.180 is
00:07:53.440 but
00:07:54.160 but
00:07:54.540 the question
00:07:55.460 is
00:07:55.740 which is
00:07:56.200 the
00:07:56.400 predominant
00:07:57.100 one
00:07:57.380 and I
00:07:57.700 lean to
00:07:58.440 there
00:07:58.640 just
00:07:58.920 being
00:07:59.240 that
00:07:59.580 oblivious
00:08:00.340 that they
00:08:01.120 don't even
00:08:01.800 realize
00:08:02.400 they don't
00:08:02.800 know
00:08:03.280 any person
00:08:03.900 of faith
00:08:04.380 who actually
00:08:05.260 celebrates
00:08:05.800 Easter
00:08:06.100 so it
00:08:06.840 doesn't
00:08:07.120 occur
00:08:07.400 to them
00:08:07.820 that there's
00:08:08.500 anything
00:08:08.800 offensive
00:08:09.180 about what
00:08:09.600 they're
00:08:09.760 saying
00:08:10.060 all right
00:08:10.620 so let's
00:08:10.940 talk about
00:08:11.220 the double
00:08:11.560 down
00:08:11.760 because
00:08:11.940 the White House
00:08:12.360 spokesman
00:08:12.780 Jean-Pierre
00:08:13.400 doubled down
00:08:14.200 after President
00:08:14.860 Joe Biden
00:08:15.240 declared
00:08:15.540 Easter Sunday
00:08:16.120 Transgender
00:08:16.760 Day of
00:08:17.620 Visibility
00:08:18.240 she put a
00:08:19.500 statement out
00:08:19.980 on act
00:08:20.320 Saturday
00:08:20.680 following the
00:08:21.520 backlash
00:08:21.940 to Biden's
00:08:23.160 animated
00:08:23.920 affirmation
00:08:24.720 of the
00:08:24.980 controversial
00:08:25.540 quote
00:08:25.960 holiday
00:08:26.620 that is
00:08:27.800 happens to be
00:08:28.660 on the same
00:08:29.040 day as the
00:08:29.440 holiest Christian
00:08:30.140 holiday that
00:08:30.860 we have on
00:08:31.260 the calendar
00:08:31.740 quote
00:08:32.720 on
00:08:33.480 on
00:08:33.940 Transgender
00:08:34.780 Day of
00:08:35.140 Visibility
00:08:35.580 the Biden
00:08:36.240 Harris
00:08:36.500 administration
00:08:37.020 honors the
00:08:37.700 extraordinary
00:08:38.080 courage and
00:08:38.920 contributions
00:08:39.540 of transgender
00:08:40.880 Americans
00:08:41.400 reaffirms our
00:08:42.340 nation's
00:08:42.840 commitment to
00:08:43.420 forming a
00:08:43.880 more perfect
00:08:44.840 union where
00:08:45.780 all people are
00:08:46.560 treated equally
00:08:47.220 that is what
00:08:47.840 she put on
00:08:49.160 X on
00:08:50.460 Saturday
00:08:51.060 do you think
00:08:52.440 they just
00:08:52.800 doubled down
00:08:53.300 because they
00:08:53.600 had no choice
00:08:54.460 it was like
00:08:55.020 all right we
00:08:55.540 look like
00:08:56.000 idiots we've
00:08:57.020 just offended a
00:08:57.780 ton of
00:08:58.200 Christians and
00:08:59.380 people of faith
00:09:00.120 this country
00:09:00.620 basically just
00:09:01.220 spit in their
00:09:01.780 face so this
00:09:02.940 will be our
00:09:03.320 way of saying
00:09:03.840 hey we're
00:09:04.300 kind of doing
00:09:04.680 two things at
00:09:05.240 once calm
00:09:05.740 down so I
00:09:06.680 don't think
00:09:07.020 they know
00:09:07.560 anyone they
00:09:08.240 offended I
00:09:08.860 think they view
00:09:09.580 anyone who would
00:09:10.140 be offended as a
00:09:10.980 deplorable so
00:09:12.220 it's I
00:09:13.840 genuinely believe
00:09:15.000 there was not a
00:09:15.600 person in this
00:09:16.240 White House who
00:09:16.740 was offended and
00:09:17.920 most of them
00:09:19.160 would tell you I
00:09:21.460 think they don't
00:09:22.440 know anyone that
00:09:23.100 if they have a
00:09:24.060 family member they
00:09:25.220 think they're an
00:09:26.000 ignorant family
00:09:26.560 member they don't
00:09:27.380 talk to anymore
00:09:28.140 and listen I'll
00:09:30.340 tell you what I
00:09:30.900 was actually more
00:09:32.060 okay two things on
00:09:34.140 this number one I
00:09:35.900 put out a statement
00:09:36.680 as I did a lot of
00:09:37.500 people pointing out
00:09:38.140 how ridiculous this
00:09:38.980 was and I put it
00:09:40.480 out on X and it
00:09:41.240 was interesting all
00:09:42.080 the all the
00:09:43.220 lefties who
00:09:43.820 responded to me
00:09:44.500 there were a
00:09:44.800 bunch of them
00:09:45.220 that said one
00:09:45.620 or no it just
00:09:46.920 transgender day
00:09:47.740 visibility happened
00:09:48.780 to occur this
00:09:50.440 Sunday it's not
00:09:51.380 our fault that
00:09:52.140 Easter coincided
00:09:53.400 with with what
00:09:54.060 is clearly this
00:09:55.440 day is transgender
00:09:56.440 day and it was
00:09:58.040 kind of like okay
00:09:58.820 I'm not sure about
00:10:00.200 this holiday you're
00:10:01.000 talking about but
00:10:02.840 Easter's been around
00:10:03.720 a couple thousand
00:10:04.400 years it's like they
00:10:06.600 treat Easter like
00:10:07.860 who is this
00:10:08.640 interloper that
00:10:09.680 dare land in the
00:10:11.460 midst of our
00:10:12.100 celebration but
00:10:14.260 but let me say
00:10:14.940 something else Ben
00:10:15.640 that that actually I
00:10:16.880 found even more
00:10:18.780 offensive which is
00:10:20.420 every year the
00:10:21.340 White House has an
00:10:22.300 Easter egg roll
00:10:23.040 Easter egg roll is a
00:10:24.000 fun event and you
00:10:25.340 know you have a lot
00:10:26.000 of people who take
00:10:26.540 their kids there and
00:10:27.640 they have Easter
00:10:28.200 eggs and that
00:10:28.820 they're wooden and
00:10:29.560 they're painted
00:10:29.980 they're really neat
00:10:30.640 and and there's a
00:10:31.640 contest for kids
00:10:32.680 well the Biden
00:10:34.360 White House has a
00:10:35.280 contest for kids to
00:10:36.220 paint Easter eggs
00:10:37.000 and and and they
00:10:38.780 had a flyer describing
00:10:39.980 what the kids must
00:10:41.060 do and here's what
00:10:41.680 the flyer for the
00:10:42.340 content said an
00:10:43.880 Easter egg design
00:10:45.120 submission quote
00:10:46.160 must not include
00:10:48.420 any questionable
00:10:50.120 content religious
00:10:52.060 symbols overtly
00:10:54.440 religious themes or
00:10:56.120 partisan political
00:10:57.920 statements so
00:10:59.700 understand and by
00:11:00.780 the way this is on
00:11:01.500 behalf of first lady
00:11:02.540 Jill Biden surprised
00:11:03.900 she didn't call it
00:11:04.640 the Latinx Easter
00:11:05.440 Easter egg roll
00:11:05.860 they invite people
00:11:08.200 there and understand
00:11:08.940 they want you to
00:11:10.620 paint Easter eggs
00:11:11.740 that according to
00:11:13.900 their dictate have
00:11:15.420 nothing to do with
00:11:17.340 Easter they literally
00:11:20.180 prohibit they say
00:11:21.300 any religious themes
00:11:22.840 symbols or content
00:11:24.700 on a celebration of
00:11:26.320 Easter cross right
00:11:27.220 like yeah cross would
00:11:28.740 be overly religious
00:11:30.160 the words all right
00:11:32.060 what what are the
00:11:33.160 most common three
00:11:34.400 words that any
00:11:35.200 Christian says on
00:11:36.040 Easter he is risen
00:11:37.700 he is risen and
00:11:38.880 what does everyone
00:11:39.400 respond he is risen
00:11:40.480 indeed I sat down I
00:11:42.580 texted a whole bunch
00:11:43.660 of my friends today
00:11:44.580 and and and and
00:11:45.900 texted them scriptures
00:11:47.120 but he is risen so
00:11:49.160 according to the
00:11:49.760 Biden rules you're not
00:11:50.980 allowed to put he is
00:11:51.780 risen you are allowed
00:11:53.040 to put an Easter
00:11:53.820 bunny you are allowed
00:11:55.680 to put something
00:11:56.480 utterly secular and
00:11:58.500 and and look what I
00:11:59.300 find grotesquely
00:12:00.380 offensive is I
00:12:02.820 listen this White
00:12:03.800 House puts out
00:12:05.400 celebrations of
00:12:06.580 Rosh Hashanah and
00:12:07.360 Yom Kippur as they
00:12:08.320 should on the Jewish
00:12:09.080 holidays do they have
00:12:10.320 a rule no Jewish
00:12:11.280 symbols on on the
00:12:13.120 Jewish high holidays
00:12:13.900 they celebrate
00:12:14.580 Ramadan what are the
00:12:16.700 odds you think on
00:12:17.720 Ramadan they say
00:12:18.600 nope you cannot say
00:12:20.080 anything Muslim on
00:12:21.280 Ramadan like Easter is
00:12:23.280 a Christian holiday and
00:12:25.020 these bastards I mean
00:12:26.260 this it it it really
00:12:28.320 does they're telling
00:12:30.980 children when you
00:12:32.940 celebrate Easter at
00:12:34.180 the White House it
00:12:35.160 cannot actually be
00:12:36.720 Easter yeah I rarely
00:12:39.080 and I'm going to ask
00:12:40.220 your permission I know
00:12:41.120 what the answer is
00:12:41.600 going to be but I
00:12:42.440 don't share our text
00:12:43.600 but I'd like to read
00:12:44.840 part of your text today
00:12:45.880 that you mentioned is
00:12:46.680 that is that okay yeah
00:12:47.900 sure so one of the
00:12:49.680 scriptures that you
00:12:50.660 sent and in in a text
00:12:53.320 that I got from you it
00:12:54.360 says he he is not
00:12:56.580 there he is risen
00:12:57.980 remember how he told
00:13:00.220 you while he was still
00:13:01.720 with you in Galilee the
00:13:03.900 son of man must be
00:13:04.740 delivered over to the
00:13:06.600 hands of sinners be
00:13:07.960 crucified and on the
00:13:09.160 third day be raised
00:13:11.380 again Luke 24 6 through
00:13:14.040 7 now I I love that
00:13:15.760 verse and you sent it
00:13:17.440 to me this morning
00:13:18.560 thank you for that by
00:13:19.440 the way and it was one
00:13:21.460 that I was thinking
00:13:22.520 about that kids learn
00:13:23.880 in fact my kids in
00:13:25.300 school learn Luke 24 6
00:13:27.660 and 7 this week it
00:13:29.140 was their memory verse
00:13:30.480 what if a kid wanted
00:13:31.780 to put that on an egg
00:13:32.740 my kid would have
00:13:33.740 thought of that right
00:13:34.760 because it's part of
00:13:35.880 the holiday and they
00:13:37.380 would have been I
00:13:37.960 guess disqualified or
00:13:39.180 not even be allowed in
00:13:40.380 the Easter egg art
00:13:41.380 contest of the White
00:13:42.240 House because that
00:13:43.120 would be religious text
00:13:44.980 which would be I
00:13:45.620 guess extremism in the
00:13:46.660 eyes of the White
00:13:47.180 House so so let me
00:13:48.740 read more of the
00:13:49.580 White House's official
00:13:50.460 guidance quote selected
00:13:52.380 designs representing
00:13:53.460 the unique experiences
00:13:54.480 and stories of
00:13:55.340 National Guard
00:13:55.860 children will be
00:13:57.460 brought to life on
00:13:58.520 real hen eggs by
00:14:00.460 talented egg artists
00:14:02.080 from across the
00:14:02.960 country and displayed
00:14:04.340 at the White House
00:14:05.060 this Easter and
00:14:05.900 Passover season
00:14:06.820 children can't
00:14:08.500 promote material that
00:14:09.620 promotes quote
00:14:10.640 bigotry racism
00:14:12.780 hatred or harm against
00:14:14.080 any group or
00:14:14.700 individual okay I'm
00:14:16.240 good with all that
00:14:17.040 you shouldn't be
00:14:18.220 promoting that or
00:14:19.200 promotes discrimination
00:14:20.560 based on race
00:14:21.860 gender religion
00:14:22.740 nationality disability
00:14:24.000 sexual orientation or
00:14:25.060 age so under their
00:14:26.280 definition anything
00:14:28.100 that acknowledges
00:14:29.100 Christianity presumably
00:14:30.220 is promoting
00:14:30.640 discrimination based on
00:14:32.280 religion if you quote
00:14:33.320 Jesus is saying I'm
00:14:34.500 the way the truth of
00:14:35.440 the life no man comes
00:14:36.260 unto the father but by
00:14:37.120 me that according to
00:14:38.360 the White House rules
00:14:39.100 nope you're not allowed
00:14:40.040 to acknowledge it on
00:14:41.080 Easter Easter is the
00:14:43.440 celebration why are we
00:14:44.920 having a holiday do we
00:14:46.440 just somehow think
00:14:48.340 bunny rabbits lay eggs
00:14:49.580 like what is the
00:14:51.780 purpose of this event
00:14:53.480 and and and that level
00:14:56.200 there is a it's vitriol
00:14:58.980 can we call it that
00:14:59.840 towards Christians
00:15:00.640 because that's what it
00:15:01.360 is it is abiding hate
00:15:03.680 for for people of faith
00:15:06.760 generally but especially
00:15:08.280 for Christians and
00:15:09.380 that's true for
00:15:10.340 Catholics that's true for
00:15:11.500 evangelicals it's true
00:15:12.800 look if you celebrated
00:15:14.620 Easter I mean I want to
00:15:16.700 ask you if you were
00:15:17.680 asked hey do you want
00:15:18.660 to paint an egg for the
00:15:20.880 White House and would
00:15:22.320 it occur to you if it
00:15:23.200 was an Easter egg to say
00:15:25.000 something about what
00:15:26.200 the holiday is about
00:15:27.380 well that is prohibited
00:15:29.100 under the rules from
00:15:31.120 this White House I got to
00:15:32.100 say that really pisses me
00:15:33.860 off
00:15:34.060 Canadian women are
00:15:35.700 looking for more more
00:15:37.040 to themselves their
00:15:38.020 businesses their elected
00:15:39.260 leaders and the world
00:15:40.360 are up and that's why
00:15:41.460 we're thrilled to
00:15:42.160 introduce the honest

00:15:52.040 athletes politicians and
00:15:53.700 newsmakers all at
00:15:54.880 different stages of their
00:15:56.020 journey so if you're
00:15:57.420 looking to connect then
00:15:58.580 we hope you'll join us
00:15:59.640 listen to the honest
00:16:00.540 talk podcast on iHeartRadio
00:16:02.240 or wherever you listen
00:16:03.240 to your podcasts
00:16:03.960 this also makes me go
00:16:07.460 back to when people said
00:16:09.060 that conservatives like
00:16:10.000 myself I don't know if
00:16:11.840 you've ever tweeted
00:16:12.360 something like this so I'll
00:16:13.600 ask you you know when
00:16:15.140 several years ago when
00:16:16.800 we talk about I say
00:16:18.300 Christmas the real
00:16:19.700 meaning of Christmas
00:16:20.240 under attack and people
00:16:21.920 are trying to take
00:16:22.820 Christ out of Christmas
00:16:24.040 and then the left is
00:16:25.460 like you guys are crazy
00:16:26.720 you're paranoid you're
00:16:28.740 radical extremist
00:16:29.700 Christians no one's
00:16:31.880 trying to take Christ
00:16:32.760 out of Christmas and
00:16:34.660 the slippery slope and
00:16:35.820 then you fast forward to
00:16:36.940 this Easter the White
00:16:38.380 House is saying nothing
00:16:39.280 religious on the Easter
00:16:40.260 eggs we're making you
00:16:41.800 know Easter the same as
00:16:42.900 this transgender you
00:16:44.060 know visibility day and
00:16:45.780 I'm sitting there going
00:16:46.480 see I'm not crazy I know
00:16:48.540 what you're doing and I'm
00:16:49.740 watching it and I'm
00:16:50.640 calling you out on it and
00:16:51.920 you guys don't understand
00:16:53.500 that we understand when we
00:16:55.320 should be offended by what
00:16:56.820 you're trying to do which
00:16:57.740 is have Christmas without
00:16:58.820 Christ have Easter without
00:17:00.580 the resurrection so I'll
00:17:02.640 tell you in the Senate I
00:17:03.880 mean there's a consistent
00:17:04.960 divide Democrats won't say
00:17:07.780 Merry Christmas it is only
00:17:10.440 Republicans and actually when
00:17:11.920 you say Merry Christmas you
00:17:13.260 almost feel like a crazy
00:17:14.380 rebel I mean I mean it is a
00:17:16.120 bizarre you know it's happy
00:17:18.420 holidays but you're kind of
00:17:19.620 like gee what what is the
00:17:20.800 holiday you're you're
00:17:21.680 celebrating and by the way
00:17:22.980 look for my Jewish friends
00:17:25.060 when they're celebrating
00:17:25.760 Jewish holidays I am happy
00:17:28.260 to wish them the best
00:17:29.760 celebrating holidays that
00:17:31.160 that are important to their
00:17:32.680 faith but but but as a
00:17:34.140 Christian I celebrate
00:17:35.820 Christmas I celebrate
00:17:36.800 Easter and and and for
00:17:38.740 the left look that they're
00:17:41.500 antagonistic to faith across
00:17:42.960 the board but there is a
00:17:44.140 particular vitriol hatred
00:17:47.140 antagonism resentment all of
00:17:49.500 those are there to
00:17:50.760 Christianity in particular
00:17:52.060 which is why they literally
00:17:53.220 want to erase Christ from
00:17:54.500 Christmas it's apparently
00:17:55.500 about a fat guy in a sleigh and
00:17:57.800 they want to erase Christ from
00:17:59.760 Easter it's apparently about
00:18:01.340 bunny rabbits and eggs it's
00:18:04.180 incredible let me tell you
00:18:05.180 about our friends over at

00:18:48.400 the same coverage you've been
00:18:49.380 accustomed to without funding
00:18:52.020 the left second question I had
00:18:53.800 was was it going to take a
00:18:54.900 bunch of time is it going to
00:18:55.820 be easy or hard it's actually
00:18:57.360 really easy you get to keep

00:20:00.560 972 Patriot Center I want to
00:20:02.640 pivot to another shocking story
00:20:04.420 I say shocking tongue-in-cheek
00:20:08.000 there are tons of warnings and
00:20:10.940 data points and history that
00:20:14.160 back up that when you mandate
00:20:16.380 ridiculous wages it ends up
00:20:19.060 hurting the people that you claim
00:20:20.620 you're helping the most
00:20:21.900 specifically on big increases in
00:20:25.760 minimum wage now the federal
00:20:27.800 government has a minimum wage but
00:20:30.340 states have gone to another level
00:20:32.760 mandating higher wages fast
00:20:35.520 forward to California they have
00:20:37.760 the highest unemployment rate of
00:20:39.760 any state in America right now and
00:20:41.900 they've just gone and pushed their
00:20:43.880 $20 minimum wage when it comes to
00:20:46.940 fast food workers they did this and
00:20:50.100 guess what happened over 800 for
00:20:52.680 example pizza delivery drivers got
00:20:54.720 noticed that they were being laid
00:20:56.240 off and they deliver for Pizza Hut
00:20:58.820 because it is unsustainable to pay
00:21:01.580 $20 an hour to deliver pizzas and
00:21:05.380 yet Democrats are still cheering on
00:21:07.740 this insanity well it's a lot more
00:21:10.180 than that so so this new law goes
00:21:12.020 into effect today Monday and it is
00:21:14.560 $20 an hour for fast food workers at
00:21:18.680 chains with more than 60 locations in
00:21:20.920 the United States not in California in
00:21:24.060 the United States in the United States
00:21:25.640 and and by the way that that is a 25%
00:21:28.740 increase from from what from the old
00:21:31.380 minimum wage of $16 an hour in
00:21:33.280 California and the layoffs have been
00:21:37.100 massive and far-reaching so Pizza Hut
00:21:42.100 laid off more than 1,200 delivery
00:21:45.500 workers that that that was in Pizza Hut
00:21:49.360 round table pizza chain of about 400
00:21:51.960 locations said it will lay off 1,280
00:21:55.640 delivery workers Excalibur pizza one of
00:21:58.740 his franchisees has plans to cut 73
00:22:01.160 drivers workers 20% of its workforce and
00:22:04.420 by the way McDonald's Chipotle Jack in
00:22:06.620 the Box and other chains say what they're
00:22:08.640 going to do is raise the menu prices to
00:22:10.380 offset the costs by the way they're doing
00:22:14.220 more so California based El Pollo y
00:22:16.900 Loco has told investors it is automating
00:22:20.360 some of its salsa making to mitigate
00:22:22.880 minimum wage rises Jack in the Box is
00:22:26.480 testing fryer robots and automatic drink
00:22:29.200 dispensers and and understand none of
00:22:32.740 this is is surprising this this is to be to
00:22:37.300 be predicted in in California there are
00:22:40.820 roughly 557,000 fast food workers and
00:22:43.680 there are about 30,000 restaurants in
00:22:45.880 California this minimum wage increase is
00:22:48.760 going to drive some of those restaurants
00:22:50.080 out of business some of them will go
00:22:51.440 broke when they go broke all of their
00:22:54.200 employees will lose their jobs both the
00:22:56.160 minimum wage employees and the higher
00:22:57.700 ones the managers everyone will lose
00:22:59.120 their job when the restaurants go broke
00:23:01.160 the ones that don't go broke we are
00:23:03.460 seeing literally thousands upon thousands
00:23:05.900 of people being fired and by the way the
00:23:07.920 the pizza places what they're saying
00:23:10.000 they're going to do is they're going to
00:23:11.180 use DoorDash and Uber Eats they're just
00:23:14.040 going to use third-party apps and they're
00:23:15.460 they're firing all the drivers so and and
00:23:18.340 and it's interesting that there was a
00:23:20.500 quote there's an article in the Daily
00:23:21.680 Mail that quotes quotes one guy Michael
00:23:24.680 Ojeda 29 who's a Pizza Hut driver in
00:23:27.520 Ontario California and and and he said he
00:23:29.920 received a notice from his Pizza Hunt
00:23:33.260 franchisee in December informing him that
00:23:35.840 his last day would be in February and
00:23:37.920 here's his quote Pizza Hut was my
00:23:39.580 career for nearly a decade and with
00:23:42.540 little to no notice it was taken away
00:23:45.060 well there are consequences when you
00:23:48.240 elect radical Democrats and California
00:23:50.320 has done it across the board they have
00:23:52.180 every statewide elected officials a
00:23:53.640 Democrat they have super majorities in
00:23:55.180 both houses of the legislature and
00:23:57.420 understand over and over and over again
00:24:01.040 when you jack up the minimum wage this is
00:24:02.880 what happens and and and one of the
00:24:04.420 things I like to do when people say
00:24:05.660 well we want a $20 minimum wage that
00:24:07.540 helps people okay well if it helps
00:24:09.620 people why would you stop at 20 why
00:24:11.840 not $50 an hour why not a hundred why
00:24:13.760 not a thousand dollars an hour let's
00:24:15.920 pass a law that everyone must be paid
00:24:19.720 at least a thousand dollars an hour
00:24:21.260 wouldn't that magically mean that
00:24:22.700 money would rain into the hands of
00:24:24.020 everyone isn't that how it works Ben
00:24:25.840 apparently if you if you've never been
00:24:28.520 to school and you don't know how how
00:24:30.340 the economy our economy would work and
00:24:32.360 how inflation works and yet you have
00:24:35.740 warnings we've seen this time and time
00:24:37.620 again there are professors that will
00:24:39.180 come out and say when you increase
00:24:41.120 the minimum wage you think you're
00:24:42.760 helping people but in reality the cost
00:24:44.820 of basic food and milk and bread and
00:24:47.520 all these things go up so it actually
00:24:48.760 takes more money out of their pocket and
00:24:50.560 yet they still keep doing it and this on
00:24:52.760 top of the fact that they already had
00:24:55.560 the highest unemployment rate of any
00:24:58.740 state in America right now this is only
00:25:01.720 going to make it not just a little bit
00:25:03.240 worse a lot worse so let me tell you
00:25:05.460 Ben I spend a lot of time actually
00:25:07.640 talking to small business owners and
00:25:09.700 restauranteurs in particular I love
00:25:11.780 restauranteurs and and and I tell
00:25:14.480 whether it's Burger King franchises or
00:25:16.940 Mexican restaurants are also I meet up
00:25:19.160 with all sorts of restaurant owners both in
00:25:20.840 Texas and when they come to Washington
00:25:22.580 and one of the things explain it when
00:25:24.220 you say restaurant tour because I don't
00:25:25.880 think people understand exactly what
00:25:27.420 that means it's someone who owns a
00:25:28.820 restaurant someone who who owns a
00:25:31.320 restaurant and and sometimes they have
00:25:32.920 one restaurant sometimes they'll have a
00:25:35.480 dozen Jack in the boxes or a dozen
00:25:36.920 Burger Kings or or but but when I meet
00:25:40.620 with restaurant owners one of the things
00:25:43.040 I tell them all the time is I say
00:25:44.560 listen you may think you're in the food
00:25:48.120 business but I actually don't think
00:25:50.700 you're in the food business you're in
00:25:53.080 the opportunity business because for
00:25:57.200 millions and millions of Americans
00:25:59.280 their first job is in a restaurant and
00:26:03.020 one of the things I do all the time Ben
00:26:04.320 when I'm at a town hall I've got you
00:26:06.160 know three four hundred people in a room
00:26:07.680 I'll ask them how many people in this
00:26:09.840 room have ever worked at a restaurant
00:26:11.160 inevitably about half the hands in the
00:26:14.120 room go up now the argument lefties say
00:26:17.480 is well you know if you're making ten
00:26:20.600 bucks an hour flipping burgers you can't
00:26:23.560 feed a family of four on ten bucks an
00:26:25.640 hour and you know what they're right
00:26:26.500 it's actually very hard to feed a family
00:26:28.520 of four on ten bucks an hour here's the
00:26:30.940 problem most people are not feeding a
00:26:33.900 family of four flipping burgers what
00:26:36.600 happens and what restaurants are all
00:26:38.540 about is they're often the entry-level
00:26:41.520 jobs so you get a lot of teenagers you
00:26:43.320 get a lot of 16 17 18 19 year olds it's
00:26:46.720 their first job and and they learn skills
00:26:50.560 they learn to show up they learn to show
00:26:53.100 up on time that they learn to interact
00:26:55.800 with customers they learn to make change
00:26:57.740 they learn to work hard they learn to be
00:26:59.480 disciplined all of the skills that enable
00:27:03.180 them to get promoted so very few people
00:27:06.580 spend their entire career flipping burgers
00:27:10.640 at ten bucks an hour that's an entry-level
00:27:12.260 job and by the way if you do it and do a
00:27:14.400 good job you almost inevitably get promoted
00:27:16.320 so let me give a personal story from
00:27:19.000 from my family background when my dad
00:27:22.200 came from Cuba it was 1957 and and he
00:27:25.580 came to Texas he was 18 he had nothing
00:27:27.440 he was broke and he couldn't speak
00:27:30.900 English so the very first job he got was
00:27:34.120 washing dishes at a restaurant and he
00:27:36.600 made 50 cents an hour now why did he get
00:27:38.580 that job because he couldn't speak English
00:27:39.980 and a lot of jobs most jobs in Texas at the
00:27:43.580 time in 1957 you had to speak English you
00:27:46.200 didn't have to speak English to wash a
00:27:47.480 dish so that's what he could do with the
00:27:50.140 skill set he had at that time now I will
00:27:53.000 point out that by the time that that he
00:27:55.540 and my mom had me he wasn't making 50
00:27:57.440 cents an hour anymore but his first job
00:28:00.220 let him get started and by the way he was
00:28:01.640 a freshman at UT that money at the time he
00:28:05.020 paid his way through school but what
00:28:07.120 happened is very quickly thereafter he
00:28:10.740 started learning English and when he
00:28:13.000 learned English he got promoted his
00:28:15.800 second job was at the same restaurant
00:28:17.560 and it was as a cook and in the second
00:28:21.100 job he made 80 cents an hour now he
00:28:23.980 thought a cook was a much better job than
00:28:26.180 a dishwasher and it was and 80 cents an
00:28:28.180 hour was a lot better than 50 cents an
00:28:29.720 hour his next job after that was as a
00:28:33.640 teaching assistant at University of Texas
00:28:35.600 teaching undergrads math and his next
00:28:38.740 job after that was as a computer
00:28:40.440 programmer at IBM but he doesn't get
00:28:43.600 those subsequent jobs without that first
00:28:45.800 job washing dishes and and the left
00:28:49.200 doesn't get that when you do this the
00:28:51.460 people who are being laid off by the way
00:28:53.200 are predominantly low-skilled low-income
00:28:56.580 and very young the majority of people who
00:28:59.120 California just laid off the statistics
00:29:01.620 tell us are very likely to be Hispanic or
00:29:03.880 African-American to be teenagers with
00:29:06.320 with limited skills and this was their
00:29:08.540 first job where they were getting skills
00:29:10.500 and Democrats are pulling up the ladder
00:29:13.120 and saying you don't get to get skills
00:29:15.620 instead you should be unemployed but
00:29:17.640 guess what we got a welfare check for
00:29:19.540 you and you can just stop working right
00:29:21.100 now because we'll pay you as long as you
00:29:22.960 vote Democrat here's my question and it
00:29:26.080 comes back to California really full
00:29:28.480 circle you have all these people that
00:29:30.440 are laid off I wonder how many of them
00:29:33.080 will not vote for Democrats next time a
00:29:36.880 number one or two they just say okay it
00:29:40.720 is what it is and I'll get some free
00:29:42.560 cash for a little bit and then I'll find
00:29:44.080 another job or is there gonna be a
00:29:46.740 turning point do you think center where
00:29:48.880 it gets so bad with the absurdity of
00:29:52.240 $20 an hour 25 an hour whatever it is and
00:29:55.820 the incident sustainability of it that
00:29:58.480 there's no other way but for people's
00:30:00.360 eyes to be open I just don't have a lot
00:30:02.400 of confidence yeah look I don't know
00:30:04.500 and I suspect it will be some of both
00:30:06.380 so one of the things again that that a
00:30:10.460 lot of Democrats don't understand is
00:30:12.100 that in any business you have a trade-off
00:30:14.760 between labor and capital and so you
00:30:16.720 have a choice which one which one to
00:30:18.300 invest in so the example I use when my
00:30:20.840 dad was washing dishes making 50 cents
00:30:23.040 an hour thank God some well-meaning
00:30:25.840 liberal didn't come along and pass a two
00:30:28.880 dollar minimum wage law now they might
00:30:31.220 have said I want to help those poor
00:30:34.180 people making 50 cents an hour so I'm
00:30:36.360 gonna mandate you cannot pay anyone
00:30:38.040 less than two dollars an hour you know
00:30:39.500 what they would have done they would
00:30:41.280 have fired my father yeah and they
00:30:43.160 would have bought a dishwasher that that
00:30:45.420 you have a trade-off do you use labor or
00:30:48.640 do you use capital notice when I was
00:30:50.220 going through in California that they're
00:30:52.220 discussing stores that are that they're
00:30:54.400 looking at automated salsa makers that
00:30:56.680 are looking at robotic french fry fryers
00:30:59.120 that are looking at automated soft drink
00:31:01.540 dispensers have you ever been to a
00:31:03.360 restaurant and ordered an iPad or in a
00:31:05.060 kiosk yes and it's becoming more
00:31:07.560 regular now and you know what that is
00:31:09.620 this is this is actually ancient history
00:31:12.060 but I used to describe iPads and kiosks as
00:31:15.020 a $15 waitress which is what happened is
00:31:18.240 some well-meaning Democrats said you got
00:31:20.040 to pay people $15 an hour and you know
00:31:21.880 what the restaurant owner said I can't
00:31:24.200 stay in business the math doesn't work so
00:31:26.220 I'm gonna fire the waitress I'm gonna
00:31:27.580 fire the waiter and I'm gonna put a piece
00:31:29.780 of metal and you know what I have to pay
00:31:30.980 the piece of metal $0 an hour now I've
00:31:33.940 got some upfront capital but once I put
00:31:36.260 the iPad or the kiosk I don't have to
00:31:37.860 pay him an hourly wage and when you jack
00:31:40.500 up the cost of labor inevitably the result
00:31:45.360 is people lose their jobs and the people
00:31:48.300 who lose it understand who Democrats hurt
00:31:51.520 they hurt the most vulnerable by the way
00:31:54.660 the same thing is true when Democrats did
00:31:57.200 shutdowns during COVID when they shut
00:32:01.060 schools down the people who got hurt the
00:32:03.620 most were low-income kids they were
00:32:05.280 African-American kids they were Hispanic
00:32:06.960 kids the data show we have the biggest
00:32:09.500 learning gap since we have been recording
00:32:12.620 learning results and by the way the racial
00:32:15.920 gap grew more during the COVID lockdowns
00:32:18.520 than in any period in recorded history so
00:32:21.660 understand this is what Democrats do and
00:32:24.480 by the way if your parents were rich
00:32:26.100 guess what the school shutdowns they were
00:32:29.220 inconvenient but you could hire a tutor
00:32:31.040 you had resources your kids rich kids
00:32:34.320 didn't fall behind all that much during
00:32:37.380 the lockdowns low-income kids if they had
00:32:40.680 a single mom with three four kids for
00:32:43.620 millions of them they essentially didn't
00:32:47.700 go to school for months and months and
00:32:49.600 months on end and again this is what
00:32:52.840 Democrat policies systematically do they
00:32:56.260 hurt the most vulnerable while at the
00:32:58.680 same time they're sermonizing about how
00:33:01.220 they want to help the most vulnerable
00:33:02.560 yeah great point when you wake up in the

00:34:25.380 blackout coffee every single day finally
00:34:28.980 center I want to ask you about something
00:34:30.400 that happened this last week and and it
00:34:32.960 was a story that was I was even shocked
00:34:36.380 by it the former RNC chairwoman was hired
00:34:42.800 by NBC News to become a commentator slash
00:34:46.340 NBC News she was hired it came out and
00:34:51.080 what ended up happening was virtually
00:34:53.740 every name that was a host of a show a
00:34:57.960 big talent at NBC including meet the press
00:35:00.880 said we're not going to work with her she's
00:35:04.480 a radical Trump extremist January sixer
00:35:08.780 we're not going to work with her and they
00:35:11.160 they they literally ripped her on air in a
00:35:14.640 way that I didn't even think they would do
00:35:16.760 but they did it and here's a montage of
00:35:19.040 just how bad it was
00:35:20.260 be joined by former RNC chair Rhonda
00:35:22.740 McDaniel in her first interview since
00:35:24.740 stepping down as party chair in full
00:35:27.260 disclosure to our viewers this interview
00:35:29.460 was scheduled weeks before it was
00:35:31.100 announced that McDaniel had become a paid
00:35:33.060 NBC News contributor this will be a news
00:35:36.260 interview and I was not involved in her
00:35:38.880 hiring I think our bosses owe you an
00:35:40.900 apology for putting you in this situation
00:35:43.040 and look there's a reason why there's a
00:35:44.600 lot of journalists at NBC News
00:35:45.880 uncomfortable with this because many of
00:35:48.360 our professional dealings with the RNC
00:35:49.840 over the last six years have been met
00:35:51.800 with gaslighting have been met with
00:35:53.580 character assassination we weren't asked
00:35:55.440 our opinion of the hiring but if we were
00:35:57.200 we would have strongly objected to it
00:35:58.980 NBC News either wittingly or unwittingly is
00:36:01.580 teaching election deniers that what they
00:36:04.720 can do stretches well beyond appearing on
00:36:07.480 our air and interviews to peddle lies about
00:36:09.860 the sanctity and integrity of our elections
00:36:12.460 but that they can do that as one of us as
00:36:15.160 badge carrying employees of NBC News there
00:36:18.660 there is an easy way to avoid the controversy NBC News has stumbled into
00:36:27.160 don't hire anyone close to the crimes she literally backed an illegal scheme to steal an election in the state of Michigan that is the type of experience that Ronna McDaniel brings to the table and that experience does not get us to a deeper understanding of anything in the public debate I want to associate myself with all my colleagues both at MSNBC and at NBC News who have voiced loud and principled objections to our company putting on
00:36:57.160 payroll someone who has a payroll to our payroll someone who hasn't just attacked us as journalists but someone who is part of an ongoing project to get rid of our system of government
00:37:05.660 Senator that was clearly orchestrated by the talent they were not going to work with her and they were going to ruin her career before it even started
00:37:14.660 well look NBC News sadly is a joke MSNBC News it would be a joke if anyone watched it but it's just sort of a left wing
00:37:24.660 primal scream and and and and the utter hypocrisy
00:37:31.660 of everyone so so so much of this was started by Chuck Todd and Chuck Todd had this whole screed
00:37:38.840 this self-righteous holier-than-thou screed that he did on meet the press
00:37:42.700 now here's an interesting bit you may not not know do you know how Chuck Todd got his start
00:37:48.500 how was that as a staffer in 1992 for the presidential campaign of Senator Tom Harkin a
00:37:55.100 Democrat so Chuck Todd was a Democrat staffer on a presidential campaign mind you're not just in
00:38:01.460 passing but let's go back to Chuck Todd's predecessor Tim Russert Tim Russert the gold standard of meet the
00:38:09.320 press the gold standard of NBC News did you know what Tim Russert did before he went to NBC I'm going to
00:38:15.480 go out on a limb and say a Democratic staffer he worked for U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan a
00:38:20.840 Democrat from New York he served as special counsel to Daniel Patrick Moynihan he served as chief of
00:38:27.060 staff to Daniel Patrick Moynihan and then in 1983 he became a top aide to New York Governor Mario Cuomo
00:38:34.080 also a Democrat so he he was a senior Democrat staffer over and over again for multiple Democrats
00:38:41.300 and then he went to NBC News let's fast forward George Stephanopoulos where did George Stephanopoulos
00:38:47.360 make his name as a senior press hack for the Clinton White House he was a political staffer his entire
00:38:53.580 life by the way he's the premier political commentator at ABC now and and and let's not forget Jen Psaki
00:39:00.660 happily ensconced at MSNBC she was of course Joe Biden's White House press secretary she stood up there
00:39:08.440 and spin baby spin baby spin and she got hired basically straight from the White House where she
00:39:13.840 continues to do the same job she is still as far as I'm concerned the White House press secretary she's
00:39:18.920 actually a much better press secretary than Corrine Jean-Pierre why because Corrine Jean-Pierre
00:39:24.580 is not very good at her job all she does is lie to Psaki's credit she actually rarely directly lied
00:39:31.700 she just pivoted she circled back she spun but she rarely made flat out demonstrably provable
00:39:39.080 falsehoods whereas Corrine Jean-Pierre seems to do so on an almost daily basis but the entirety of
00:39:46.220 that understand the position of NBC is essentially we cannot tolerate an actual Republican who works for
00:39:57.880 us and by the way there were a few folks who got online and they said no no that's not true that's
00:40:03.280 not true that's not true because Nicole Wallace is on MSNBC and she was a Republican staffer and Joe
00:40:08.940 Scarborough he was a Republican congressman well that's true they were in a prior life Republicans
00:40:16.940 but both Nicole Wallace and Joe Scarborough voted for Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden so the position of NBC
00:40:26.720 news is we cannot actually hire anybody who voted for Donald Trump as long as you vote for Democrats
00:40:32.900 you can have been a Republican long in your distant life but you must have abandoned half of the country
00:40:38.840 and decided their evil deplorables those are the only people we are willing to hire welcome to MSNBC
00:40:45.520 and NBC news as you described it and and again I I'm not a big person advocating or supporting like oh
00:40:51.760 sue somebody but I hope she gets a big payday the way they treat her and apparently she found out she
00:40:58.460 was fired through media reports not even from a phone call from NBC news I I hope that she gets a huge
00:41:05.840 payout from this she deserves every dime after watching her colleagues run her name through the
00:41:10.920 mud the way they did and treat her the way they did so and let me make an important point on this so
00:41:15.900 MSNBC has a niche as a hard left network that's why they have so few viewers but they're hard left
00:41:23.100 now let me ask you something why does NBC I mean and what NBC pretends to actually be a real
00:41:30.860 journalistic outfit why do they have a subsidiary that is just a hard left uh platform by the way they
00:41:39.000 all decry Fox News but MSNBC is hard left unapologetically so and by the way you know
00:41:46.060 what the MS stands for Microsoft what why exactly is Microsoft funding hard left propaganda why is NBC
00:41:54.040 why are they okay with a network that has an explicit ideological agenda and one of the points to
00:42:01.540 understand it was NBC news that that hired Ronna McDaniel and and and I'm going to make the case
00:42:10.120 to you there is no difference between MSNBC and NBC they are one in the same NBC no longer pretends
00:42:18.560 to be journalists they are advocates they are in MSNBC they are the left wing of the Democrat party
00:42:24.700 there's a reason by the way in in the last presidential cycle they were thrown out of moderating because
00:42:29.500 they're so hardcore and partisan now I guess somebody in their corporate leadership decided
00:42:35.920 they wanted to at least have a nod of have somebody on the staff who had voted with half of the country
00:42:43.800 but but let me ask you Ben so so you actually have been a a paid conservative at a left-wing network at
00:42:51.960 CNN you were paid for a number of years what was that like then and and give us your perspectives from
00:42:57.540 having been in Ronna's shoes although at a different time it's funny that you asked this because I was
00:43:03.740 doing outnumbered hosting outnumbered on I think it was Wednesday when this story broke and they came to
00:43:08.660 me like look you've got an interesting perspective I said yeah I was hired the the for or my my contract
00:43:15.320 was extended when I was at CNN I was there a total of seven years but the last year was just and this is
00:43:22.700 how much it even changed at CNN they used to want when they when when Jeff Zucker took over a grand
00:43:28.400 debate they wanted conservatives to have people that would they thought were well representing them
00:43:32.800 so that conservatives wouldn't you know basically immediately skip over the channel once Donald Trump
00:43:38.560 won in 16 the wheels came off at CNN they hated him they hated and they yelled and screamed and try to
00:43:46.400 turn you into bigot racist homophobe xenophobe everything they could uh and try to ruin your career
00:43:51.400 when you were on because they couldn't yell at Trump but they could yell at you and you were
00:43:54.260 supporting Trump or defending Trump but in the last year that I was there they hired me just to have
00:44:00.540 my name on a piece of paper as they get out of free jail card when someone said you guys have no
00:44:05.080 conservatives and they would say no no no no no look over here we have Ben Ferguson in my last year
00:44:10.500 I did two appearances on CNN now that's absurd from a financial standpoint if you were a financial person
00:44:19.080 why would you hire a guy give him a salary and only have him come to work two days out of 365 days in a year
00:44:23.900 one of those two appearances was after the Hollywood reporter did a story about me being benched
00:44:31.680 and then they put me on the next day on a Saturday for four minutes just to say no see he's not benched
00:44:38.420 we just used him today and then never used me again and and with Rana McDowell I have to say with her
00:44:45.120 I I think that's part of what they wanted they wanted to go into this election cycle saying no no
00:44:50.840 we've got a token concern this lady just ran the the RNC we see we're not biased we've got her on
00:44:57.860 the air by the way and I'll tell you Jen Psaki so as verdict listeners know my latest book Unwoke How to
00:45:06.360 Defeat Cultural Marxism in America when it came out I did a ton of radio interviews we actually called an
00:45:11.680 offer to go on Jen Psaki's show she said no no we don't want you we we don't that they're and by
00:45:17.720 the way the view also turned me down so the last two books I did previously I went on the view for
00:45:22.260 both of them and and uh look I and by the way the ratings were huge when the ratings were massive and
00:45:29.440 and and I don't think it is an overstatement to say it did not go well for the host because they
00:45:35.360 didn't know what they were talking about and I pointed out they didn't know what they were talking
00:45:38.480 about um look with with Whoopi Goldberg when I went on um for my book Justice Corrupted how the
00:45:47.960 how the left has weaponized the legal system I went on and and all the hosts of the view begin screaming
00:45:52.980 at me and they're like you know you Republicans are all election deniers election deniers and and
00:45:59.540 they're used to everyone who agrees with them so they think that that's just like a kill shot
00:46:03.120 and I said oh you you you mean like when when Hillary Clinton insisted that she won and that
00:46:08.720 Donald Trump's election was illegitimate she said she didn't say that so I had the quote and I read
00:46:12.760 it out loud or I said do you mean when when Al Gore said that George W Bush was illegitimately elected
00:46:18.960 and the election was stolen from him or do you mean like when Stacey Abrams said that she was the
00:46:24.240 governor of Georgia and that it was illegitimate or do you mean like when Joe Biden said George W Bush
00:46:30.680 was illegitimate elected I just read quote after quote after quote they'd never heard any of them
00:46:34.540 by the way a week later they had Chelsea Clinton on to say my mother never said that quote that she's
00:46:39.180 on tv saying um and that I read verbatim but then the next exchange with Whoopi was really interesting
00:46:45.280 because after saying election denier which is their sort of first response then she said and you guys
00:46:50.940 are all a bunch of angry rioting criminals and to which I laughed and said oh really you you mean
00:46:59.560 what about the entire year of Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots that burned American cities across
00:47:07.200 this country for a year and Whoopi looks at me completely confused and she says I don't know
00:47:14.940 what an Antifa riot is I have no idea what that is and and and it was they're in such an echo chamber
00:47:21.960 they will only talk to people who agree to them and sadly there are a couple of million mostly women
00:47:29.080 watching The View who are just listening to partisan propaganda and in their world there are no Antifa
00:47:36.500 riots that doesn't exist and and by the way for the last book Unwoke The View said nope we don't want
00:47:42.760 you on that didn't go well for us at all and Jen Psaki who I've never been on her show you would think
00:47:48.060 she might be interested and by the way I'm perfectly happy to her to come attack me and scream and be a
00:47:52.440 crazy nut if she wanted to I mean I was not expecting a love fest but their view was sorry no we don't
00:47:58.980 want you on it all we have one view and we will never ever ever have anything to the contrary that
00:48:04.800 is MSNBC and apparently that's NBC too yeah great point don't forget we do this show Monday Wednesday
