00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.580 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.280 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz.
00:00:07.700 Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:08.860 And Senator, we've got a lot to talk about, including the economy.
00:00:12.360 A major weird policy shift almost from the Biden administration dealing with Israel.
00:00:18.220 And also some interesting news on the Biden crime family.
00:00:21.860 Plus a dust up with Ben and Jerry's ice cream that totally backfired on them.
00:00:26.980 But first, Senator, let's talk about the economy right now.
00:00:31.380 The White House was trying to get people to believe that things are actually going really well.
00:00:36.220 But they've lost even NBC News on Meet the Press.
00:00:41.080 Here's what they said about the new poll numbers.
00:00:43.300 The American public is not feeling it.
00:00:45.440 Just 34% of Americans approve of Biden's handling of the economy in a recent AP poll that was released at the end of June.
00:00:51.980 And only 20% of voters believe the nation is on the right track.
00:00:54.880 Though voters have not felt good about the direction of the country for over a decade.
00:00:59.160 And Biden is trying to persuade voters that the economy is better than they think it is.
00:01:04.620 Better than they think it is.
00:01:06.400 Another way to put those poll numbers, Senator, would be 64% of Americans disapprove of Biden's handling of the economy.
00:01:13.980 They're obviously trying to flip it and play the numbers game.
00:01:17.000 This is terrible news.
00:01:18.320 And yet the White House seems to not even care.
00:01:20.200 Well, the White House is playing politics and sadly they're doing a bad job of it.
00:01:25.940 They are trying to convince the American people the economy is much better than you think it is.
00:01:32.360 Things are not as crappy as they feel like they are to you.
00:01:36.300 When you go to the grocery store and your bills are much, much higher.
00:01:40.080 When you pay your bills each month and your electricity bill is much, much higher.
00:01:44.880 Your health care bill is much, much higher.
00:01:46.760 When you go to the gas pump and you fill up your car or truck and the bill is much, much higher.
00:01:52.040 Don't worry about that.
00:01:54.140 Things are really great.
00:01:55.920 Why?
00:01:56.360 Because we say they are.
00:01:57.680 And boy, it's pretty amazing that even Chuck Todd is not buying that.
00:02:02.500 But the White House put out this whole barrage of public relation.
00:02:07.740 They're trying to brand Bidenomics.
00:02:10.180 I got to say, that's pretty dumb.
00:02:12.440 They're going to regret branding Bidenomics because they're going to own Bidenomics.
00:02:17.960 You know, Jimmy Carteromics was not a good thing.
00:02:22.700 And Bidenomics is worse than Jimmy Carteromics.
00:02:26.240 So here's one of the claims of the White House.
00:02:28.320 Quote, Bidenomics is rooted in the simple idea that we need to grow the economy from the middle out and the bottom up, not the top down.
00:02:37.520 An economy where we build more in America, empower and invest American workers and promote competition to lower costs for working families.
00:02:47.040 Now, set aside for the minute the language that is so focus grouped and poll tested.
00:02:53.500 We build from the middle out and the bottom up.
00:02:56.480 It reminds me of there's a great scene in The Simpsons where Kodos and Kang, the space aliens, are discussing,
00:03:05.600 we'll go forwards, not backwards, upwards, not downwards, and twirling, twirling into the future.
00:03:13.540 That's the Biden White House talking point on the economy.
00:03:16.780 Here's some actual facts which don't expect this White House to include.
00:03:20.800 Prices, as measured by the Consumer Price Index, are up to up more than 16 percent since Biden took office.
00:03:30.480 The same time Americans are racking up more credit card debt, total credit card debt reached a record high of nearly one trillion dollars.
00:03:39.920 In addition to that, the Biden White House is claiming, well, quote,
00:03:45.740 the president's economic strategy has powered the strongest recovery of any major economy in the world.
00:03:50.600 Among leading economies, the United States has the highest economic growth since the pandemic and currently has the lowest level of inflation.
00:03:57.680 That's an interesting claim, unless you actually get mugged by reality.
00:04:01.920 Yeah. Reality is Canada, South Korea, Japan, and other countries currently have a lower rate of inflation than the United States.
00:04:11.200 So their claim is just objectively wrong.
00:04:15.000 Let's look at something else.
00:04:17.460 Another claim, quote, under Bidenomics, our economy has recovered more quickly than most experts thought possible.
00:04:26.080 Now, let me stop and say, as a matter of political messaging, that's exceptionally bad.
00:04:30.820 That is like saying, we have sucked less.
00:04:35.700 Yeah.
00:04:35.980 That's their message.
00:04:37.740 Some experts thought we would suck more and we were not quite that bad.
00:04:42.740 That's their message.
00:04:43.800 Now, let's let's return to facts.
00:04:46.620 Under Bidenomics, their term, inflation has proven persistent.
00:04:51.920 Despite experts like Federal Reserve Chairman Jay Powell and Secretary Janet Yellen claiming inflation would be transitory.
00:05:02.220 Inflation has exceeded 2 percent for 27 straight months and is still double the Fed's target rate.
00:05:09.340 And let's just take the past year, May 2022 to May 2023.
00:05:13.680 Flour is up 17.1 percent.
00:05:18.180 Bread is up 12.5 percent.
00:05:20.260 Frozen vegetables are up 18.7 percent.
00:05:22.720 Sugar is up 11.1 percent.
00:05:24.940 Margarine, if you're actually trying to be healthy and not do the butter thing, 22.5 percent.
00:05:30.680 Baby food formula, 10.1 percent.
00:05:35.260 I got to tell you, you got a problem with the White House when you're telling the American people the pain you're feeling every month is not real.
00:05:46.280 We're telling you politically things are hunky dory and don't believe the agony of your checkbook and your credit card debt because, hey, our political spin is we're Democrats and everything's fine.
00:05:59.220 You know, some of the shocking claims he's made, he also claimed recently that in 2022, the price of gas was down from over five dollars, quote, when I took office.
00:06:10.340 It was actually two dollars and forty six cents when he came into office and it hit highs of more than five dollars under his leadership.
00:06:17.580 He also claimed again and again to have created millions and millions of new jobs when they were simply the recovered jobs that were lost to covid and the economy coming back.
00:06:29.520 It's not like he created all of these jobs.
00:06:32.260 Do you think this is going to work with the American people, though?
00:06:35.500 No, I think the American people have an exceptionally strong B.S.
00:06:39.240 detector.
00:06:40.460 And this is obvious.
00:06:41.800 This is like snicker.
00:06:43.440 You know, this is the sort of thing that when it when a White House flack and goes and pitches this, people start snickering.
00:06:50.300 I'll give you another example.
00:06:51.840 Here's one of the claims from the Biden White House, quote, employers are offering better pay, benefit benefits and better schedules.
00:07:00.260 Now, here's some facts.
00:07:02.740 Wage gains are not keeping up with inflation.
00:07:05.760 In other words, yes, wages have gone up, but inflation has gone up more, which means real wages have gone down.
00:07:11.760 And in fact, here are the data.
00:07:14.420 Real average weekly earnings have been negative for 26 straight months, 26 months in a row.
00:07:24.460 In addition, the average number of weekly hours worked is falling, which shows that employers are dealing with economic headwinds by cutting hours rather than firing workers because of the tight labor labor market.
00:07:39.680 People know this.
00:07:41.800 It is not effective.
00:07:43.940 Look, when you have a kid who's fallen and hurt themselves on a playground, it is not effective parenting to say your bleeding knee doesn't hurt.
00:07:56.400 When people are hungry, it is not effective governance to say you don't really need food.
00:08:05.160 You're not that hungry.
00:08:06.960 The Biden White House is trying to convince people the economy is doing great.
00:08:11.500 And never mind your lying eyes or never mind your dwindling bank account.
00:08:19.260 We say it's awesome.
00:08:21.060 Yeah.
00:08:21.720 It's when you look at how they've done this, there's there's another aspect of this, too.
00:08:26.220 And it worries me about the economy in a bigger perspective, Senator.
00:08:29.980 And that's this.
00:08:30.660 This White House has lied and they keep saying over and over again, they've cut the deficit by one point seven trillion.
00:08:37.800 We've had some of the biggest spending policies and increases in the history of this country, if not the biggest, depending on who scores it.
00:08:46.100 But when you hear them say they cut the deficit by one point seven trillion, you're in Congress.
00:08:51.740 You know that's not true.
00:08:53.520 It is an absolute lie.
00:08:55.460 It is based on revisionist numbers.
00:09:01.220 It is based on saying, well, it could have been higher.
00:09:03.640 So it's actually the same argument.
00:09:06.440 We could have sucked more.
00:09:09.140 That's not, in fact, persuasive.
00:09:11.900 We're looking at a national debt of roughly thirty two trillion dollars.
00:09:17.320 This is the highest in the history of our nation.
00:09:20.740 And Joe Biden is saying, never mind the numbers.
00:09:23.540 Never mind the spending spree we've engaged in.
00:09:28.040 We're fine.
00:09:30.560 And it could have been worse.
00:09:32.380 We've cut it because we could have spent even worse.
00:09:35.820 I got to say, you know, going back, I sort of think of Joe Biden like your drunk teenager that goes out partying in the car, crashes, crashes into the fire hydrant,
00:09:48.760 trenches your front lawn and says, well, look, it could have been worse.
00:09:54.180 I could have driven like into the side of the house.
00:09:57.580 That's basically Biden's argument is, yes, we've got the worst debt in history, thanks to Democrats spending like drunken sailors.
00:10:05.280 But we could have done worse.
00:10:08.280 There was a great headline that wraps this up, and it was from the New York Post editorial board.
00:10:13.460 It said Biden's economic lies show he's either a deluded narcissist or a total fraud.
00:10:20.280 They listed his top three as saying lie number one, quote, it was already there when I got there, man.
00:10:25.820 Inflation was actually at one point, four percent when Biden took office.
00:10:29.580 And now we've seen what's happened with inflation at all time highs in my life.
00:10:34.440 Then he said jobs were hemorrhaging, man.
00:10:37.180 Right. Well, that's not true.
00:10:38.520 America lost close to 22 million jobs to the lockdown shock in early 2020.
00:10:43.220 But by the end of that year, we'd recovered a bit more than half under Biden.
00:10:48.460 That pace slowed massively.
00:10:50.100 It wasn't until June of 2022 that the nation recovered the rest of those jobs.
00:10:55.100 And he says, well, that's on the other guy.
00:10:57.000 And then he said this.
00:10:58.520 We weren't manufacturing a damn thing here.
00:11:01.120 The nation has millions of manufacturing jobs despite COVID's impact.
00:11:07.420 And the sector boomed with deregulation during the Trump's years.
00:11:10.920 And those jobs dried up after the regulations came back in.
00:11:14.900 You put all three of those together.
00:11:16.680 And I go back to this.
00:11:17.700 It's the economy, stupid.
00:11:19.180 How big of an issue do you think this is going to be on a scale of one to five?
00:11:23.880 Where do you think this is going to rank when it comes to the presidential election when he's on stage with somebody?
00:11:29.520 I think it's massive.
00:11:30.420 I think it's front and center.
00:11:31.580 It's how it impacts Americans across the country.
00:11:35.220 You know, I have to say I'm listening to that headline you just read that Biden is either a deluded narcissist or an absolute fraud.
00:11:41.840 And this is where the college debater that I was, the sort of geeky 19-year-old pops in.
00:11:49.400 And what immediately occurs to me is those are not mutually exclusive.
00:11:54.420 He's perfectly capable of being both a deluded narcissist and an absolute fraud.
00:11:59.580 And both, I think, accurately explain where we are.
00:12:04.260 When he is lying to the American people on a daily basis and his policies have produced abject failure.
00:12:12.440 And listen, this presidential election in 2024, what it should focus on is that an overwhelming majority of Americans recognize we're on the wrong track,
00:12:22.720 that the economy is going wrong, that inflation is skyrocketing, that the lives of working Americans have gotten harder and harder.
00:12:28.520 They also recognize that our safety has gotten worse.
00:12:32.720 We've got chaos at our southern border, the worst illegal immigration in history.
00:12:36.240 Last year, we had 100,000 people die of drug overdoses, the worst in history.
00:12:40.980 We have murder rates rising, carjacking rates rising, rape rates rising, assault rates rising.
00:12:47.480 And all of that pales in comparison to the utter chaos abroad.
00:12:52.880 God, you have to go back a long, long time to find a foreign policy or national security mess worse than what Joe Biden has done in the last two and a half years.
00:13:04.480 And so, look, the classic question in any presidential election is, are you better off now than you were four years ago?
00:13:10.900 Well, I got to tell you, the number of Americans who can say yes to that is abysmally small.
00:13:19.440 Maybe if you're a Mexican drug cartel kingpin, then you answer yes.
00:13:25.460 Actually, you answer yes emphatically.
00:13:27.540 So El Chapo should vote for Joe Biden.
00:13:29.820 Maybe if you're a big tech billionaire, Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg should vote for Joe Biden.
00:13:39.420 But if you're a truck driver, if you're a steel worker, if you're a cop, if you're a firefighter, if you're a waiter, if you're a waitress, if you're a teacher,
00:13:47.960 if you're someone who actually goes and works for a living, it is unambiguous that the Biden socialist agenda has been a train wreck.
00:14:01.060 Yeah, great point.
00:14:02.720 And I agree with you.
00:14:03.840 I think this is going to be a huge issue when you head into this election.
00:14:07.780 Let me tell you real quick about our friends, Augusta Precious Metals.
00:14:10.660 Regardless of what Joe Biden says, the economy has been struggling.
00:14:14.600 And if you have looked at your retirement account, your 401k, your IRA, you know you've probably taken a hit.
00:14:20.540 Statistics are showing that a lot of people are down 20% or more over the last year.
00:14:25.060 And that is where if you want to protect your hard-earned dollars, if you're close to retirement, in retirement,
00:14:31.180 you need to make sure that you are protecting from losses because there is no time to make up those losses.
00:14:38.720 That is where Augusta Precious Metals come in.
00:14:41.380 They actually do it differently.
00:14:42.820 Not only will they send you the free investor's guide on gold, but they will also do a one-on-one web conference with you
00:14:50.780 to talk about your retirement goals, objectives, and what you are doing right now.
00:14:56.660 Their goal is to make sure that you can protect your dollars and you can use gold as a part of your portfolio.
00:15:03.720 Call them right now.
00:15:05.100 Not only will they send you the free guide on gold, but they will also sit down and do that one-on-one web conference.
00:15:09.920 Make sure you check them out online as well at AugustaPreciousMetals.com.
00:15:24.140 That's AugustaPreciousMetals.com.
00:15:28.260 Senator, you know, it's not just the economy where Biden is struggling right now.
00:15:31.780 It's also on the issue of foreign policy and Israel.
00:15:37.100 President Joe Biden sat down with Fareed Zakaria at CNN.
00:15:41.940 And in this conversation that he had with Fareed, he basically threw Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel under the bus,
00:15:51.520 a close ally of the United States of America.
00:15:53.940 I want to play this for people that maybe didn't get to hear this.
00:15:57.760 And then I want you to break it down for everybody because this is a shocking, I think, move away from Israel.
00:16:04.320 And it's a dangerous one, especially when you need this ally in the Middle East.
00:16:08.440 Late last month, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that he had been invited to visit China.
00:16:14.600 That invitation underscores the absence of a similar one from the United States.
00:16:19.560 In March, after sharp, rare criticism of Netanyahu for his proposed judicial overhaul,
00:16:26.720 the U.S. President Joe Biden said that the Prime Minister would not receive a White House invitation in the near term.
00:16:33.680 Months later, he has shown no sign of relenting.
00:16:37.140 So where do matters between the two leaders and their country stand?
00:16:41.500 I am back with Joe Biden.
00:16:43.440 Mr. President, what will it take for Bibi Netanyahu to get an invitation to the White House?
00:16:51.180 Well, first of all, the Israeli president is going to be coming.
00:16:56.380 We have other contacts.
00:16:59.440 I've been, as I think it's fair to say, an unyielding supporter of Israel forever.
00:17:05.160 Stop right there.
00:17:06.560 So, and we're going to keep playing that, but I want you to understand how utterly absurd that answer is.
00:17:13.220 So, Zakaria asks Joe Biden,
00:17:17.220 what will it take for Benjamin Netanyahu, the elected Prime Minister of Israel, to be invited to the White House?
00:17:23.820 And his response, he says, well, first of all, we have the president coming.
00:17:28.700 Now, it's important to understand the governance model in Israel.
00:17:34.420 The president is not the senior elected executive in Israel.
00:17:42.640 Who is the president?
00:17:43.940 The president is a guy named Isaac Herzog.
00:17:46.260 He goes by Bougie Herzog.
00:17:48.460 Who is he?
00:17:50.000 Well, he was, among other things, the head of the Labor Party.
00:17:53.460 The Labor Party would be the out-of-power party, the liberal party in Israel.
00:17:59.880 He was also the leader of the opposition.
00:18:02.380 So, here's what Biden says.
00:18:04.640 What is it going to take to invite Netanyahu to the White House?
00:18:08.960 Well, we've invited the leader of the opposition.
00:18:12.060 He's now the president, which is mostly a ceremonial role.
00:18:15.240 That is the equivalent.
00:18:17.520 Let's imagine you're talking to the leader of a foreign nation,
00:18:22.000 the leader of France, the leader of the United Kingdom, the leader of Canada.
00:18:27.500 And let's assume that they were doing what the Biden White House is doing,
00:18:31.120 which is ostentatiously going out of their way to snub the elected leader of Israel,
00:18:38.120 to say, we don't want you.
00:18:40.340 You are not welcome in the Biden White House, which is what they're doing.
00:18:43.580 And imagine their response was, so imagine you were asking the head of another country,
00:18:51.080 why won't you invite Joe Biden?
00:18:54.020 And the response was, well, we invited Mitch McConnell.
00:18:57.960 That's what Joe Biden just said.
00:19:00.140 Well, we invited the guy from the out-of-power party.
00:19:04.140 So isn't that enough?
00:19:05.860 No, it's not.
00:19:07.400 And I want you to play the rest of this, but I want you to understand that opening comment
00:19:13.000 is laugh-out-loud absurd.
00:19:17.380 We invited the guy from the opposite party, so that should be sufficient.
00:19:22.340 Why?
00:19:23.000 Because I, a left-wing Democrat, hate the leader that the people of Israel elected.
00:19:30.680 Keep playing what Biden has to say.
00:19:32.040 Well, first of all, the Israeli president is going to be coming.
00:19:37.900 We have other contacts.
00:19:40.940 I've been, as I think it's fair to say, an unyielding supporter of Israel for over,
00:19:47.800 I've only been around a couple years, but for as long as I've been around.
00:19:51.880 And Bibi, I think, is trying to work through how he can work through his existing problems
00:20:01.620 in terms of his coalition.
00:20:06.200 He has, I'm one of those who believes that Israel's ultimate security rests in a two-state solution.
00:20:14.560 I think it's a mistake to think that as some members of his cabinet,
00:20:20.220 and this is one of the most extreme members of cabinets that I've seen,
00:20:24.580 and I go all the way back to Golda Meir and all, you know, and not.
00:20:30.220 Can we just stop there, Senator, and get your reaction to Joe Biden actively criticizing
00:20:38.540 and referring to the cabinet as the most extreme members he's ever seen in Israel?
00:20:46.560 Well, it's important to understand, Joe Biden in this administration
00:20:51.320 has been the most relentlessly anti-Israel administration our federal government has ever had.
00:21:00.060 We have seen in the Biden White House a granular, systematic, comprehensive, and exhaustive
00:21:08.580 attempt to undermine our friend and ally, the state of Israel.
00:21:12.640 It is shameful.
00:21:13.760 It goes back to the opening weeks of the Biden administration where the State Department put out
00:21:19.040 written guidance banning anyone at the State Department from using the words Abraham Accords.
00:21:25.760 The Abraham Accords were historic peace agreements that were entered between Israel and multiple Arab allies.
00:21:34.220 The Trump administration was critical in brokering the Abraham Accords.
00:21:38.040 They were groundbreaking, and yet the Biden administration hated them and put in writing
00:21:46.060 that the State Department must refer to them as normalization agreements.
00:21:52.880 Ultimately, when they got called out for it, when this written guidance was made public,
00:21:57.780 and I will admit I played a critical role in making it public,
00:22:01.040 it was further discovered that that was done at the direction of the Biden White House.
00:22:06.440 Not only that, the Biden Department of Justice and the FBI is actively investigating and targeting
00:22:14.560 the Israeli military for the death of a Palestinian who was in the middle of an active firefight.
00:22:22.100 It is absurd.
00:22:23.280 There is no other ally that we would unleash the Department of Justice and FBI to go after their military.
00:22:28.960 But the Biden administration despises Benjamin Netanyahu.
00:22:33.980 You know, I got to say, he just says,
00:22:36.200 Netanyahu is the most extreme leader that we've ever had in 50 years.
00:22:40.680 You know what's amazing?
00:22:42.100 Benjamin Netanyahu is the longest-serving prime minister in the history of Israel.
00:22:46.840 We just finished the single worst year for violence in the Middle East in history.
00:22:52.680 And it's not Benjamin Netanyahu that's new.
00:22:55.580 It's Joe Biden.
00:22:56.720 It's his policies of appeasement.
00:22:59.640 He has been funneling cash into Hamas, into Hezbollah, into the terrorists.
00:23:07.080 And he draws a false equivalency.
00:23:10.940 He says the terrorists who strap on suicide vests and go in to shopping malls or children's schools
00:23:18.340 and murder women and children and infants, they're just exactly the same as the Israeli soldiers
00:23:24.740 who are trying to protect those women and children and infants.
00:23:28.800 It is shameful.
00:23:29.960 It is disgraceful.
00:23:31.100 And I got to say, listen, there are a lot of Democrats, and I'm talking Democrat voters.
00:23:36.000 I'm not talking politicians in Washington.
00:23:38.220 I'm talking people in the rest of America.
00:23:40.500 There are a lot of Democrats who believe rightfully that America should be a strong and resolute ally with Israel.
00:23:49.000 You cannot look at the Biden administration's record and conclude anything other than this White House is adamantly opposed to standing with Israel.
00:24:01.240 And it most recently was manifested in a new policy that was announced from the Department of State that targets Israeli Jews who live in the Golan Heights and who live in Judea and Samaria,
00:24:15.900 and in fact, who live in parts of Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, to ban bilateral scientific and technological cooperation.
00:24:28.260 And the State Department distributed to all the relevant U.S. government agencies.
00:24:33.280 And it is effectively Joe Biden implementing a policy of BDS, boycott, divest, and sanction.
00:24:41.780 It is targeting Israel.
00:24:43.660 It is explicitly targeted.
00:24:45.600 Israeli Jews. And listen, I authored a bipartisan resolution along with Tim Kaine, a Democrat from
00:24:55.520 Virginia. It passed the Senate 100 to nothing, the Cruz Cain resolution that number one condemns
00:25:01.760 anti-Semitism, but number two makes explicit that BDS is anti-Semitic. Well, I'm here to tell you
00:25:09.760 right now, the Biden administration's policy embracing BDS is anti-Semitic. So when Joe Biden
00:25:17.780 says, well, no one stood stronger with Israel than he has. Well, holy cow, with friends like that,
00:25:23.640 who the heck needs enemies? Yeah. And Joe Biden wasn't finished there. He also went on to say this.
00:25:29.720 It was extreme, but I go back to that era. I think that
00:25:33.660 the fact that the Palestinian Authority has lost its credibility, not necessarily because of what
00:25:42.540 Israel's done, just because it's just lost its credibility, number one. And number two,
00:25:49.300 created a vacuum for extremism among the Palestinians. The PLA, they are, there's some very extreme
00:25:57.040 elements. So it's not all Israel now in the West Bank, all Israel's problem, but they are part of
00:26:04.320 the problem. And particularly those individuals in the cabinet who say they have no right, we can
00:26:09.680 settle in where we want, they have no right to be here, et cetera. And I think we're talking with
00:26:19.160 them regularly, trying to tamp down what's going on. And hopefully, Bibi will continue to move toward
00:26:27.440 moderation and changing the court. I mean, Senator, you listened to his lack of critique,
00:26:35.720 really, of the Palestinian Authority, a group that clearly works with Hamas and Hezbollah.
00:26:41.460 And there are so many innocent people in Israel that have been affected by the terrorism coming
00:26:48.260 from this organization that refuses to get rid of their extremism. And you hear the president,
00:26:54.720 he was trying to, like, be timid and careful not to over-criticize them.
00:27:01.040 Well, it's even worse than that. This administration has been granular in how they've worked to undermine
00:27:09.680 Israel. So, for example, the USAID, the U.S. Agency for International Development, has poured
00:27:16.960 hundreds of millions of dollars into Palestinian-controlled areas. If you look at, in one case,
00:27:27.840 a $5 million award to the Gaza Strip was disclosed on the public databases with the wrong amount,
00:27:37.020 the wrong location, and the recipient was anonymized. And the reason why is because they
00:27:45.320 were trying to cover up that they were giving to effectively Hamas proxies.
00:27:49.760 Wow.
00:27:50.400 And I will tell you, my office is the one that exposed that and caused USAID to acknowledge
00:27:55.760 that they publicly disclosed the wrong amount, the wrong location, and hid the recipient because
00:28:03.180 it's contrary to law. By the way, this administration is also funding millions of dollars to the
00:28:07.860 Palestinian Authority while they continue what are called pay-to-slay policies. What are pay-to-slay
00:28:13.620 policies? If you're a Palestinian terrorist and you strap on a suicide vest and you murder a bunch of
00:28:18.800 children, the Palestinian Authority will send a check every year for the rest of your life
00:28:24.780 to your widow and your children. They will pay you to murder innocent children. Now, we passed legislation
00:28:33.860 through Congress, which I was an avid supporter of, to say we are not going to pay government entities that pay
00:28:41.540 terrorists and reward terrorism. And yet the Biden administration is actively circumventing it.
00:28:48.460 But Ben, it's actually, it is so minute. I'm going to give you a small example that is revealing.
00:28:56.960 The Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs in the State Department quietly changed the name of the bureau
00:29:03.460 that handles Israel from it used to be the Israel and Palestinian Affairs Office. Now it is the Israeli
00:29:12.460 and Palestinian Affairs Office. Now, why did they do that? They did that because they don't want to
00:29:19.060 acknowledge, number one, that Israel exists as a Jewish state. But number two, they are obsessed with
00:29:25.000 putting the Israelis and Palestinians on parity and acknowledging that Israel is a sovereign state
00:29:31.920 is inconsistent. I'll give you another example, which is that the Office of Palestinian Affairs
00:29:42.040 gave a Bronze Age Judean relic to the Palestinian Authority as, quote, an example of Palestinian cultural
00:29:53.440 patrimony. What utter and complete nonsense. It had nothing to do with that. But what the Biden
00:30:01.380 administration was engaged in is a relentless campaign to try to undermine the sovereignty of Israel
00:30:11.540 Israel. And I got to say, listen, we have some Democrats who listen to this podcast. I don't
00:30:19.980 think we have a ton, but we have some. If you're a Democrat who actually thinks America should stand
00:30:26.940 with Israel, what do you think of the fact that Joe Biden publicly snubs the elected Prime Minister of
00:30:35.560 Israel? By the way, Lula, the socialist anti-American leftist in Brazil, Biden happily welcomed in with
00:30:46.100 open arms and bear hugged him. If you hate America, the Biden White House loves you. But if you're the
00:30:54.500 elected leader of Israel, you are not welcome in the Biden White House. And I got to say, listen, I've been
00:30:59.080 blessed in the time I've been in the Senate. I've gotten to know Netanyahu quite well. Of all of the
00:31:04.740 world leaders I've met, and at this point I've been incredibly fortunate, I've met a lot of world
00:31:09.360 leaders. I don't think there is another who has impressed me more with the seriousness of his
00:31:18.200 mission, with the gravity. Benjamin Netanyahu understands that he has a responsibility to protect
00:31:27.400 the safety of the citizens of Israel from forces that surround Israel that would drive them into
00:31:34.640 the sea. And I have told him this before, but I believe it emphatically. I think Netanyahu has a
00:31:40.000 Churchillian, steely-eyed gaze on the threats facing Israel in America, and in particular the threat of a
00:31:50.260 nuclear Iran, and Joe Biden and the cronies around him are actively funneling billions of dollars into Iran
00:31:59.740 to help them develop nuclear weapons that could well be used to murder millions of Israelis and millions of
00:32:06.200 Americans. It is, to say it is backwards, would be a massive understatement. Yeah, no doubt about it. And this is the
00:32:14.620 foreign policy that you get right now with this administration, and it's certainly putting us and
00:32:20.020 the Middle East at risk of significant instability, but also just saying to our allies yet again, hey,
00:32:26.100 we don't know what we'll do for you. Hey, we're helping Ukraine, but maybe not Israel, when you're
00:32:30.060 surrounded by people that chant death to Israel and chant death to America. I want to talk to you about
00:32:34.520 your cell phone for a moment. If you have a cell phone, and your cell phone is with Big Mobile,

00:34:27.260 then we hope you'll join us. Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you
00:34:31.840 listen to your podcasts. Senator, I also want to talk about some news quickly that deals with
00:34:37.200 Hunter Biden. Senator, I also want to talk about some news quickly that deals with Hunter Biden
00:34:42.440 and the president. Chris Christie actually came out and had something very interesting to say
00:34:50.920 about the investigation that took place into Hunter Biden on Fox News Sunday. This on the heels that
00:34:59.320 James Comer has also come out and said that there's going to be some announcements on,
00:35:04.680 quote, disturbing findings in the Hunter Biden case this coming week. Here's Chris Christie in
00:35:12.360 his own words. Well, listen, U.S. Attorney Weiss has to explain himself and he has to explain himself
00:35:17.000 in public. You know, the fact is that this investigation to Hunter Biden in Delaware is either
00:35:22.640 a lie or it's incompetent. There's no way that it should take five years to get to a two-count
00:35:29.960 misdemeanor tax plea and then to dismiss the gun charges. You know, those gun charges carry up to a
00:35:36.540 10-year sentence to lie on the application. Democrats are crying and complaining all the time
00:35:43.000 about wanting more gun laws, yet they won't even enforce the gun laws that exist. And Hunter Biden
00:35:47.880 should have been charged under those gun laws. Add to that, that you have a two-count misdemeanor
00:35:54.260 tax plea that should not have taken all the time that it did. So either David Weiss is incompetent
00:36:00.840 in taking five years to do that, or he's not telling the truth and Merrick Garland is not telling the
00:36:06.500 truth. You hear him say that. I actually couldn't agree with him more. And I also think this tells us
00:36:13.080 about what's going to probably be coming out this week that James Comer has kind of been telegraphing on.
00:36:18.020 Well, listen, we are going to see a hearing in the House of Representatives
00:36:22.900 with David Weiss testifying, with the IRS whistleblowers testifying, and with Merrick Garland
00:36:30.920 testifying. I'm predicting right now we're going to see all of them. They may not be at the same
00:36:35.240 hearing. I hope they are. They ought to all be at the same table. But we will see them testifying
00:36:40.640 under oath before the House. We won't see them in the Senate because Senate Democrats don't care.
00:36:45.920 They do not care if the attorney general is committing multiple felonies. They do not care
00:36:50.180 if the Department of Justice is covering up multiple felonies by the president.
00:36:54.760 But Chris Christie on this point is exactly right. And let me point out, Christie was the United States
00:37:01.280 attorney for New Jersey for nearly seven years. So he's done the job of being a U.S. attorney.
00:37:08.340 And in this instance, number one, the fact that this took five years is utterly absurd.
00:37:14.760 I don't know why what the heck Weiss was doing for five years other than delaying
00:37:19.200 and stonewalling and protecting Joe Biden in the process.
00:37:22.940 Hoping the statute of limitations would run out on some of the most serious charges as well.
00:37:26.420 Well, and it did. Many of the most serious charges, he allowed the statute of limitations
00:37:30.980 to expire. And if what the IRS whistleblowers alleged is true, and I'm going to caveat that's
00:37:39.020 an important if. They might not be telling the truth. But if they're telling the truth,
00:37:43.540 Merrick Garland is guilty, I believe, of lying under oath in front of Congress and obstruction
00:37:49.860 of justice, both of which are serious felonies. And so the Department of Justice wants to keep
00:37:58.340 sweeping this aside, wants to say, oh, this is a pending investigation. We're not going to answer
00:38:03.100 it. Well, no, we're not asking about the pending investigation. We're asking about your criminality,
00:38:09.360 your wrongdoing, your lying to Congress, your obstruction of justice, your tipping off a witness
00:38:15.060 and a target of an investigation. You're actively impeding any investigation into the now growing
00:38:24.620 and rapidly becoming overwhelming evidence of official corruption by Joe Biden being on the
00:38:32.500 receiving end of millions of dollars from foreign nations, including China and including Ukraine.
00:38:38.640 We're saying and there was a headline by the Associated Press. It said top Republicans are gearing up
00:38:43.980 to investigate the Hunter Biden case and saying basically what they've realized now is that these
00:38:49.820 lead three key House committees are basically joining forces to probe the Justice Department's
00:38:57.780 handling of these charges against Hunter Biden after making sweeping claims about misconduct at that
00:39:02.720 agency. You've got leaders of the House Judiciary, Oversight and Accountability and Ways and Means
00:39:07.340 Committee opening a joint investigation of the federal case in the President Joe Biden's youngest son
00:39:11.400 days after it was announced last month that he's going to plead guilty to the misdemeanor tax offenses
00:39:16.100 as part of the agreement. Now, we also know that that judge, Senator, has to know at this point
00:39:22.520 that these whistleblowers have come forward. Do you expect that to change this plea deal at all?
00:39:29.000 I don't know, but it should. I think the judge should open up the plea deal.
00:39:32.520 And I'll tell you, if you go back to the first Trump impeachment, listen, this podcast launched
00:39:41.560 on the first night of the first Trump impeachment where we I went from the Senate floor at about
00:39:47.280 midnight, drove to the studio and recorded it that evening and put it out real time.
00:39:52.300 I can tell you in the middle of that impeachment, which concerned Ukraine, concerned Burisma,
00:39:57.680 concerned an allegation that Trump had withheld aid in order to try to pressure Ukraine into
00:40:04.820 investigating corruption by Joe Biden concerning Burisma. I got to tell you, I emphatically urged
00:40:14.060 the Trump legal team at the time to prosecute this case then, to use the impeachment trial to lay out
00:40:25.320 the evidence of corruption by Joe Biden and Hunter Biden receiving millions of dollars in
00:40:33.560 exchange for official conduct. Now, to do that, they would have had to have been willing to call
00:40:38.860 witnesses. And you'll recall there was a whole kerfuffle because the Democrats wanted to call John Bolton
00:40:45.640 as a witness. Yeah. And what I urged the Trump legal team, I said, look, this is your best
00:40:53.660 opportunity to go and prosecute the case that Joe Biden is guilty of what it is the Democrats are
00:41:01.340 alleging Trump did. Unfortunately, the Trump legal team made the decision they didn't want to do that.
00:41:07.900 And so they didn't want witnesses. They didn't want to bring in. I was making the case to them,
00:41:11.900 bring Hunter Biden in. Let's hear about what did you do to earn eighty three thousand dollars a month
00:41:18.100 that Burisma paid you? That would have been you want to talk about riveting testimony on the floor
00:41:23.420 of the Senate. And had the Trump legal team decided they wanted to do that? I think we could have put
00:41:31.840 this evidence before the American people several years ago, and it might well have changed the course
00:41:36.220 of history of what transpired. But at the end of the day, the Trump legal team decided they they had a
00:41:42.960 better approach than the one I was suggesting. And we're still sitting here every day with more and
00:41:48.400 more facts coming out. They're incredibly damning about the corruption of the entire Biden family.
00:41:57.060 Yeah, great point. And it's going to be some sort of significant info that's going to be shared this
00:42:01.960 week. We're being told from James Comer. We'll obviously be covering that. Let me tell you real
00:42:06.460 quick about chalk. If you're a guy and you feel like you're getting a little bit older, you feel like
00:42:10.020 weakness and complacency have set in or are setting it. You just don't feel like yourself. You don't
00:42:15.340 feel like you have the energy to stay up at night. You don't feel like you have the energy to work
00:42:19.380 out anymore. You just feel lethargic. You're not alone. Testosterone levels have actually dropped
00:42:25.500 off a cliff historically. And if you don't want to give into that, you want to get your strength
00:42:31.360 and vitality back. You want to get rid of the weakness and complacency. Check out chalk.
00:42:36.180 C-H-O-Q dot com. The Patriots of chalk are helping real American men just like you maximize your

00:43:20.340 Promo code Ben for 35 percent off. Lastly, Senator, there was a story this week that was actually just
00:43:26.720 hysterical to me and it dealt with Ben and Jerry's. The founders of Ben and Jerry's are angry
00:43:32.700 about land that they say was stolen. They did this big interview and they're talking about July 4th
00:43:40.700 and how terrible somehow July 4th is and we should give back land. And then the joke turns on them
00:43:47.380 because apparently where Ben and Jerry's headquarters is that land, if they're going to live by their new
00:43:54.280 standards, should be given back immediately to the indigenous people, you cannot make this up.
00:44:00.780 Well, that's right. On the 4th of July, Ben and Jerry's, which is a leftist company run by hippie
00:44:07.320 billionaires, tweeted out the following. This 4th of July, it's high time we recognize that the U.S.
00:44:14.360 exists on stolen indigenous land and commit to returning it. Learn more and take action now with a link.
00:44:22.000 And then they have this graphic that says the United States was founded on stolen indigenous land.
00:44:28.420 This 4th of July, let's commit to returning it. Now, I'll point out that when they faced criticism
00:44:35.920 for it, here is in fact what Ben and Jerry's put out. Quote,
00:44:45.440 the faces on Mount Rushmore are the faces of men who actively work to destroy the indigenous cultures
00:44:54.120 and ways of life to deny indigenous people their basic rights. Those are the faces on Mount Rushmore.
00:45:02.140 Yeah. Those are the founding fathers of America. So Ben and Jerry's has decided,
00:45:07.560 George Washington, we hate him. Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves, won the civil war, kept the country
00:45:16.160 together. Nope. We hate him too. We're Ben and Jerry's. We're ridiculous, hypocritical liberals.
00:45:23.500 And then, as you noted, the very amusing development, which is that a Native American tribe in Vermont
00:45:30.180 wants its land back. And, you know, Ben and Jerry said, okay, we've got to return
00:45:37.340 the Native American land. Well, the Nohegan band of the Kosuk Abenaki Nation, the chief, Don Stevens,
00:45:48.420 said he's very interested in getting the land that Ben and Jerry's headquarters is on
00:45:54.000 because it originally belonged to his tribe. And then the chief went on to say, quote, the tribe,
00:45:59.960 quote, was always interested in reclaiming the stewardship of our lands. And he went on to say,
00:46:09.620 if and when we are approached, many conversations and discussions will need to take place to determine
00:46:15.440 the best path forward for all involved. He went on to say, Ben and Jerry's headquarters, quote,
00:46:23.080 sits on a vast swath of U.S. territory that was under the auspices of the Abenaki people before
00:46:30.080 colonization. So I'm going to say, Ben and Jerry, you have convinced me. Give your damn headquarters
00:46:37.800 back to the Abenaki people and I'll be there for it. I'm going to celebrate. Hand over the factory and
00:46:43.760 you know what? The Abenaki people can make ice cream. You've got a factory there. You stole the land
00:46:50.100 from them, you evil bastards. And by the way, this is not me calling you that. This is you calling you
00:46:56.160 that. I mean, good God, if George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are bad people because of the
00:47:01.780 Native American theft, your bloody headquarters is apparently on Indian land. I got to say,
00:47:09.800 I love this story because it shows there's nothing as empty, as meaningless, as fake, as left-wing
00:47:19.000 virtue signaling because the chances that Ben and Jerry's will do so much as give a frigging pint
00:47:25.680 of Cherry Garcia ice cream to the Abenaki people are minuscule because they sure do enjoy rolling in
00:47:36.800 their millions of dollars while pretending to be incredibly virtuous. Yeah, it was a great story
00:47:43.200 that popped after they made their comments here. You absolutely got to love it when that happens.
