00:00:37.120 involved in tracking GOP Senator phone calls.
00:00:41.340 Plus, accountability as the New York Attorney General Letitia James,
00:00:46.380 who was targeting Donald Trump, saying,
00:00:48.640 vote for me, and raising money off of going after Donald Trump,
00:00:52.880 has now been indicted on bank fraud charges in Virginia.

00:03:07.620 It's the 47 Morning Update, and it starts right now.
00:03:11.020 Story number one.
00:03:12.100 This first story we're going to be talking about is one that I hope you will take and
00:03:16.680 you'll share it on social media wherever you can, because it is a story that's important
00:03:22.340 and that the media is deliberately looking the other way to not cover.
00:03:26.700 It is an important story because it's about the abuse of power and holding those that abuse
00:03:31.860 their power to accountability.
00:03:33.820 The FBI Director, Kash Patel, has fired agents involved in tracking the phone calls of eight
00:03:42.760 Republican senators and a congressman as part of the former Special Counsel Jack Smith's
00:03:49.880 investigation, a sham investigation, into President Donald J. Trump.
00:03:55.180 Communication records belonging to GOP Senators Lindsey Graham, Marcia Blackburn, Ron Johnson,
00:04:03.400 Josh Hawley, Cynthia Loomis, Bill Haggerty, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, and Representative
00:04:10.840 Mike Kelly, we know now for a fact, were handed over to Smith's Arctic Frost team after they
00:04:19.600 subpoenaed major phone companies in 2023.
00:04:24.580 The fact was unknown to the public until this week when Kash Patel, the FBI Director, saying
00:04:32.020 he discovered the files hidden in a lockbox that was placed in a vault in a cyber place
00:04:39.660 where no one can see or search these files.
00:04:43.060 They're called restricted access and prohibited access.
00:04:59.180 Restricted access means some people get to see it.
00:05:01.380 Prohibited access, you put it in there when you want to hide it from the world, and that
00:05:04.860 takes the authorization of the attorney general and the director of the FBI.
00:05:08.740 So not only did they weaponize this law enforcement, but when we got in there, and when I got in
00:05:12.860 there as the FBI Director, from my experience as Russiagate, I knew where to look and what
00:05:16.260 rooms to open and what doors to kick down.
00:05:18.500 And that's what we did.
00:05:19.500 We found this information to expose the politicization by Jack Smith and the prior Department of Justice.
00:05:25.080 I mean, just think about it.
00:05:26.920 Eight sitting United States senators, phone records were gathered and subpoenaed through
00:05:31.440 the grand jury process, and it was buried and worm-holed with the hope that no one would
00:05:36.620 find it.
00:05:37.620 We're just scratching the surface here, but accountability is coming.
00:05:40.440 We are finding every single person involved.
00:05:42.840 We will not leave a single room locked.
00:05:45.780 We will go in through all the prohibited access requirements, and we will find the material
00:05:50.200 and show the American public, like we have done in this FBI, more transformative and transparent
00:05:54.500 than any in the U.S. history, to bring accountability to the American people.
00:05:57.780 And we will work with our partners in Congress, who should be furious at the prior administration's
00:06:02.120 leadership and weaponization and singular politicization of law enforcement.
00:06:06.380 The American public sees what we're doing, Sean, with the statue just right off in the beginning.
00:06:10.100 They see what we're doing here to unseal the vault and show the world how the deep state
00:06:16.120 actually operated.
00:06:17.200 Cash Patel making it clear, this is the beginning, not the end.
00:06:21.160 And if you go back and you actually look at what he said, quote, you put it in there, and when
00:06:26.780 you want to hide it from the world, and that takes the authorization of the Attorney General
00:06:32.980 and the Director of the FBI.
00:06:34.660 So not only did they weaponize this law enforcement, but when we got in there, and when I got to
00:06:42.440 in as the FBI Director, from my experience as Russiagate, I knew where to look and what
00:06:49.100 rooms to open and what doors to knock down, and that is what we did.
00:06:53.880 So if you want to know why the President of the United States of America decided to pick
00:06:58.340 Cash Patel to do this job, it is exactly for this reason, and it goes back to what else
00:07:03.920 he had to say, saying, quote, we found this information to expose the politicalization
00:07:10.400 by Jack Smith, remember he's a guy in charge of special counsel, weaponizing our government
00:07:15.300 to go after Donald Trump and the prior Department of Justice, he added, before revealing that
00:07:21.180 he fired the agents who facilitated the secret investigations into sitting U.S. lawmakers.
00:07:30.620 Now, Hawley, by the way, Senator Hawley, one of the senators who had his phone calls tracked
00:07:35.820 by the Biden administration's DOJ, called Smith's subpoena and abuse of power beyond Watergate,
00:07:42.780 beyond J. Edgar Hoover, one that directly strikes at the Constitution, the separations of power,
00:07:49.380 and the First Amendment.
00:07:51.900 Hawley also said it's time for there to be a special counsel, saying, quote, we need a
00:07:56.460 full investigation of all involved, who knew about it, who ordered it, and who approved
00:08:02.560 it.
00:08:03.060 Anyone and everyone who violated the law must be prosecuted.
00:08:08.420 The way to save the country is to restore the rule of law, the senator said.
00:08:13.920 Now, the U.S. office, a special counsel, the OSC in August, opened an investigation into
00:08:20.440 Jack Smith, who may have unlawfully targeted President Trump, and that may be where this
00:08:26.460 investigation is going next.
00:08:29.080 Now, story number two.
00:08:30.460 New York Attorney General Letitia James, a story the media is having to cover right now,
00:08:36.360 because, let's be honest, she built much of her political career on one thing, trying
00:08:42.040 to put Donald Trump behind bars, attacking Donald Trump.
00:08:46.340 She even raised money off of attacking Donald Trump, and said if she was elected, she would
00:08:51.520 go after Donald Trump.
00:08:53.220 Well, now, she has been indicted on a bank fraud charge by a federal grand jury in Virginia.
00:09:01.500 The grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia returned the indictment on Thursday, earlier
00:09:06.880 this year.
00:09:07.560 The Justice Department confirmed an investigation into Letitia James over what was described
00:09:12.820 as alleged mortgage fraud.
00:09:16.160 The probe centers on claims that she misrepresented property records and loan applications to
00:09:22.500 secure more favorable financing.
00:09:25.120 By the way, that is against the law.
00:09:27.660 According to a letter from the federal housing finance director, James allegedly made false
00:09:33.700 statements on multiple documents, meaning that you can see clearly if she was lying.
00:09:40.340 That includes listing a Virginia property as her primary residence when it was, in fact,
00:09:47.200 not.
00:09:48.040 Filing Brooklyn records showing her multifamily building had five units instead of four.
00:09:56.240 That would be what would be categorized as fraud.
00:09:59.080 Submitting a mortgage application claiming she was her father's spouse.
00:10:05.400 Pretty easy to, you know, prove that that wasn't actually true.
00:10:10.020 Now, James has been under scrutiny for at least one suspected instance of misrepresenting an investment
00:10:16.580 property as her primary or secondary residence.
00:10:19.980 A move that could save thousands in interest rates as well.
00:10:24.000 The case is being held by the U.S. attorney, Lindsay Halligan, a Trump appointee.
00:10:30.360 Halligan, by the way, is new and replaced Eric Siebert, who was ousted after reportedly
00:10:36.440 showing reluctance to pursue cases, one against James and the former FBI director, James Comey.
00:10:43.460 Both obviously are individuals that people believe have abused their power.
00:10:48.480 And there are people that say, I'm one of them, that it's time to hold those accountable.
00:10:54.000 Who have lied and weaponized our government.
00:10:56.720 Now, James has responded.
00:10:58.720 And here is part of what she had to say about the indictment.
00:11:02.040 This is nothing more than a continuation of the president's desperate weaponization of our justice system.
00:11:08.480 He is forcing federal law enforcement agencies to do his bidding.
00:11:12.240 All because I did my job as the New York State Attorney General.
00:11:16.140 These charges are baseless.
00:11:17.220 And the president's own public statements make clear that his only goal is political retribution at any cost.
00:11:23.940 Let's be clear.
00:11:25.420 Letitia James is the one who has literally said before that if you would just vote for her and get her in office,
00:11:30.320 she's going to take down Donald Trump.
00:11:33.380 So much for acting like you're not going after your political enemies.
00:11:37.320 We also are getting to witness what the media is doing with this.
00:11:41.660 And they're covering it as big breaking news.
00:11:44.540 But they're also trying to see can they spin it to hurt Donald Trump, claiming he's just going after his political enemies
00:11:51.340 and acting as if somehow mortgage fraud is not a big deal.
00:11:56.140 Here's how they broke the news on CNN.
00:11:59.160 CNN breaking news.
00:12:01.160 Welcome to the lead.
00:12:02.040 I'm Jake Tapper.
00:12:02.620 And we start with some shocking breaking news in our law and justice league.
00:12:06.800 Just moments ago, two sources telling CNN that the Justice Department indicted yet another one of President Trump's perceived political opponents.
00:12:16.220 This time it was New York Democratic Attorney General Letitia James.
00:12:19.580 She was charged in a federal court in a grand jury in Alexandria, Virginia.
00:12:23.060 Today, you will remember James brought civil fraud charges alleging financial fraud against Trump and his adult sons in his real estate business in New York.
00:12:31.900 Back in 2022, a judge found them liable and ordered a three hundred fifty five million dollar fine, which Trump appealed.
00:12:39.660 And this obviously comes in the context of President Trump demanding that the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. attorney there,
00:12:47.360 carry out orders to go after his political opponents.
00:12:51.460 James Comey, who has been indicted.
00:12:53.540 Letitia James, who as of today has been indicted.
00:12:56.060 Democratic Senator Adam Schiff is the third that he mentioned in that public truth social post at the
00:13:01.860 Wall Street Journal reports was accidentally posted publicly was meant to be a private message to his attorney general, Pam Bondi with me here in New York.
00:13:10.760 By the way, let's just stop there.
00:13:12.520 Isn't it amazing that they actually overlook the crimes that these people are accused of committing?
00:13:17.540 And isn't it amazing that the same people that were screaming when Donald Trump was indicted on ridiculous and bogus charges,
00:13:23.660 saying, well, he's been charged, he's going to be arraigned, he's going to have a mug shot, he's going to be in court are now acting as if this is all news that you should just look the other way on.
00:13:34.060 There is one, by the way, one of those that was a part of the hoax January 6th committee, a guy by the name of Adam Kinzinger,
00:13:41.140 who is at least somewhat honest on CNN about this fraud, mortgage fraud charge against Letitia James.
00:13:48.420 And I want you to hear what he said, the people's trust in our system.
00:13:52.480 Congressman, I mean, live by the sword, die by the sword. Is that is that the way the system should be?
00:13:57.700 Yeah, no. I mean, look, I think two things can be true here.
00:14:00.540 I think the first thing is Letitia James never should have made those comments.
00:14:05.020 She never should have run on. I'm going to go after him before she's seen the evidence, before she's had anything that was wrong.
00:14:13.180 Not illegal. That was wrong. And then at the same time, there is no doubt.
00:14:18.040 And I mean, we can argue about it, but there's no doubt that this thing went.
00:14:22.920 They went after her specifically for retribution, specifically because it was her.
00:14:28.640 I mean, all you have to do is read the president's accidental fake tweet or whatever thing that's called posts and and know that he was basically saying,
00:14:37.240 Pam, here are two people we have to go after. And then all of a sudden, boy, just miraculously, a new person comes in after the other person said that they didn't have enough to make a case and get indicted.
00:14:48.560 This thing probably like like Comey's is either going to be thrown out.
00:14:52.880 I'm not a lawyer. So who knows?
00:14:54.220 Either be thrown out before trial or certainly will be will be seen as what it is, which is revenge.
00:14:59.780 But I think we can hold Anderson. Both things are true.
00:15:02.780 Letitia James never should have said that in the campaign. And also they are going after her for one reason, because it's her.
00:15:10.900 So there you have it. Letitia James is, well, you know, probably did something wrong.
00:15:15.580 And, you know, maybe she did commit mortgage fraud.
00:15:18.180 But hey, they shouldn't go after because she went after them first in a political way.
00:15:24.200 That is some weird leftist logic.
00:15:26.940 But the one thing that we can be sure about is this.
00:15:29.740 Donald Trump ran on and said he was going to hold those accountable who abused their positions of power to go after their political enemies.
00:15:40.700 And what we're witnessing right now is the deep state crumbling.
00:15:44.880 And those that went after the president only for political reasons are now being held accountable for their own actions that apparently now include mortgage fraud.
