00:00:11.540 He called Alpine Credits for a home equity loan.
00:00:14.060 His loan was approved and a superhero was sent over
00:00:16.600 to assist John with his business needs. 0.81
00:00:18.900 Her superpower isn't just home equity loans,
00:00:21.560 it's helping people realize their dreams. 0.85

00:00:27.340 Own your home, need a loan? 0.91
00:00:29.180 Alpine Credits can help.
00:00:31.240 Alpine Credits, where homeowners get approved.
00:00:34.660 I believe that whoever was in that room and did that was a murderer.
00:00:39.180 A new podcast series, Faultline Haditha,
00:00:41.680 tells the story of a shocking crime and a cover-up
00:00:44.460 at the highest levels of the United States Marine Corps.
00:00:47.720 If you've got five players and you offer immunity to four,
00:00:50.660 you better be right about the fifth.
00:00:52.380 Because if you're not, then you've just given immunity to your killer.
00:00:55.480 Listen to Faultline Haditha on the iHeartRadio app,
00:00:58.360 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
00:01:05.120 They cited a financial disclosure for Congress
00:01:08.740 that initially said that your husband's firm was worth $30 million.
00:01:12.920 That was before an accountant put in the liabilities of that firm,
00:01:16.600 which then brought the $30 million down to, like, essentially net zero.
00:01:19.820 $20,000, which would make me worry a little about your husband's business, to be honest.
00:01:24.160 He's not in them anymore. He's not in them anymore. He's not in them anymore.
00:01:27.660 You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
00:01:31.760 Good Thursday morning. So nice to have you with us on the 47 Morning Update.
00:01:35.500 And my oh my, do we have an update for you on Elam Omar.
00:01:40.020 She's come out of hiding and she's taking swings at President Donald Trump. 0.58
00:01:44.340 Even putting out a TikTok video begging for donations. 1.00
00:01:48.420 And then sat down for what I could only describe as a fake interview with MS Now.
00:01:53.600 Trying to help her explain all of her problems away.
00:01:56.320 So what did she say? We've got it all for you.
00:01:59.500 Before we get to that, the midterm elections are heating up and congressional control in President Trump's agenda.
00:02:04.780 Hang in the balance. Every headline has the potential to shift the odds.
00:02:08.620 On CalSheet, you can trade major primaries, election outcomes, and the biggest political storylines as they happen.
00:02:17.520 Let me give you one example. There's a big race down there in Texas.
00:02:21.920 And the question is, well, can Paxson defeat Tallarico?
00:02:24.980 Well, right now, Paxson is currently trading at 50%, meaning a $100 trade would pay out
00:02:30.080 $93 if he beats Tallarico.
00:02:33.000 Now, this is just one of the many races that you can look at right now.
00:02:37.100 And like I said, every headline can change the odds.
00:02:40.600 On Calci, you're trading against peers in a live market, meaning there's no house.
00:02:45.300 And as the probability changes, you can buy in and out of your position.
00:02:49.880 So download the Kalshi app and use the code BEN to get $20 when you trade $20.
00:02:56.900 Kalshi, K-A-L-S-H-I.
00:02:59.280 Kalshi, trade on anything.
00:03:01.480 18 plus only.
00:03:02.240 Restrictions and eligibility requirements apply.
00:03:03.860 Event contract trading involves risk and may not be suitable for all investors.
00:03:06.440 Kalshi products are not available in all jurisdictions.

00:03:12.380 It's the 47 Morning Update, and it starts right now.
00:03:16.080 Story number one.
00:03:17.200 So, Ilham Omar has been in hiding this after there is a serious investigation and then them actually coming into her house, raiding it, and taking things afterwards.
00:03:29.340 She disappeared for a week.
00:03:31.280 Where in the world is Ilham Omar?
00:03:33.180 That's a game that could have been played over the last seven days.
00:03:36.960 She has now resurfaced.
00:03:39.540 And this time, she has a simple message.
00:03:43.100 I'm not joking.
00:03:44.300 Send money!
00:03:45.280 That's right.
00:03:45.940 with federal investigators examining allegations of immigration fraud
00:03:50.720 after agents raided her D.C. home, seized electronic devices and her passport.
00:03:56.900 Yeah, they got her passport and questioned members of her family.
00:04:00.460 Omar is now saying, please, can you just send money?
00:04:03.820 Now, before I give you her response, she's come out of hiding.
00:04:07.920 She put it on TikTok and then did an interview.
00:04:10.700 You need to understand just how serious the investigation has become
00:04:13.800 even over the last 12 hours, all right?
00:04:16.100 So I'm going to go back to October the 12th.
00:04:19.800 Six o'clock in the morning, federal agents from Homeland Security
00:04:23.100 investigations arrived at Omar's Washington, D.C. residence.
00:04:28.380 They were executing a search warrant authorized by a federal judge.
00:04:32.220 Now, this wasn't some routine paperwork request.
00:04:35.260 Investigators seized electronic devices, then documents,
00:04:39.140 her personal cell phone, and her passport.
00:04:42.020 Now, the Justice Department confirmed that the search was connected to an ongoing federal criminal investigation.
00:04:49.240 Now, what were they investigating?
00:04:50.460 We now know a lot more about that.
00:04:52.340 According to reports that have been widely circulated by CNN, CBS News, Washington Post, they're all now saying the same thing.
00:05:00.480 Federal investigators are examining whether Omar or her late father provided false information on immigration and citizenship paperwork dating back decades.
00:05:11.340 That's number one. Now, specifically, we're now learning investigators are looking at whether her age was accurately reported when her father became a naturalized American citizen in 2000.
00:05:23.740 Now, you may say, all right, why does that matter?
00:05:26.140 Well, because under the citizenship laws that were applicable at the time, a child could automatically acquire citizenship through a naturalized parent.
00:05:36.580 if certain requirements were satisfied.
00:05:39.780 Well, investigators are now examining whether Omar actually did qualify.
00:05:44.560 And if federal prosecutors can establish that material information was deliberately falsified,
00:05:50.120 then there's real legal consequences.
00:05:52.800 And that's the other important part about this investigation.
00:05:56.500 Now, the second part of this investigation is also what we're learning a lot more about right now.
00:06:02.360 The investigation is now reaching into her family.
00:06:05.520 and that is where this story and honestly just kind of blew up like it got bigger according to
00:06:12.860 CBS News multiple members of Omar's family have received federal grand jury subpoenas
00:06:18.440 and now we know that her older sister has been interviewed also by federal investigators Fox
00:06:26.180 News even reported that Noor the sister voluntarily spoke with investigators following the raid now
00:06:32.660 You've got to think about that.
00:06:34.200 You've got federal agents.
00:06:35.520 They are no longer simply reviewing old immigration records.
00:06:39.100 They're now questioning family members who may have knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Omar's immigration history.
00:06:46.080 There's also another development as well.
00:06:49.120 Omar's sister was scheduled to appear at a book event in Minnesota on October the 15th.
00:06:53.980 That appearance was canceled with organizers citing a, quote, family emergency.
00:07:00.000 Now, the cancellation also came during the same week that the investigators were questioning members of the family.
00:07:05.800 Now, that is obviously important news.
00:07:08.980 Now, there's also another claim, and this allegation has actually followed Ilham Omar for years.
00:07:15.580 And that claim is that she married her brother as part of an immigration scheme.
00:07:21.540 Now, Omar has repeatedly denied that allegation, and she said that it is not established with any type of facts at all.
00:07:27.820 Well, that brings us to where we are today.
00:07:32.000 And that is where did she actually go?
00:07:35.300 Why did she disappear for a week? 0.98
00:07:37.180 Well, she's come out of hiding and she decided to do a TikTok video.
00:07:41.820 And here's what Omar said.
00:07:43.680 Everyone, Ilhan here.
00:07:44.980 I just wanted to say thank you so much for the support to everyone who sent a note of
00:07:52.180 support for everyone who sent $5, $10, $20.
00:07:55.660 dollars. That goes a long way as we fight Trump and his administration for trying to intimidate
00:08:06.500 me and so many people right before the midterm elections. We know that they're running scared.
00:08:13.380 We're not going to be intimidated. We're not going to be silenced. We're not going to be scared.
00:08:17.080 I'll be out there campaigning alongside all of you and making sure that we be back all of this
00:08:23.540 and that we win in the midterms, win the House, win the Senate, and hold this administration
00:08:28.900 accountable. Thank you so much again, and please continue to support us. It is going to be a very
00:08:36.440 expensive and challenging time, and so we appreciate whether you're able to send 5, 10, 20. Thank you.
00:08:44.080 There it is. Elam for Congress. She puts it out there. It's going to be very challenging. It's
00:08:51.940 going to be a challenging time. Now, you notice that she was a little bit more meek and mild.
00:08:58.360 She used her bread and butter that Donald Trump is evil, even though Donald Trump has said from
00:09:03.140 the very beginning one thing, we're going to cut down on waste fraud that would apply to her and 0.93
00:09:09.300 abuse that would also apply to Omar. She was also asked one other question in an interview
00:09:15.660 about the rumors of her marrying her brother in an MSNOW, the Liberal Network.
00:09:21.720 And I want you to hear what she said in the interview about that.
00:09:25.540 It started with a Somali blog that I don't know if it still exists,
00:09:31.540 but somebody put in there that, you know, that he had to have been my brother or something to that effect.
00:09:37.400 And right wing conspiracy theorists in Minneapolis got a hold of it.
00:09:43.520 and they just kind of went and like found random people who were like she introduced us uh you know
00:09:49.920 she introduced him to us and said he was her brother um which is you know it's insane i mean
00:09:57.040 no i don't know those people that they talk about he was not you were not related to him
00:10:02.880 not that there's not like there's a weird kernel of truth that's through some game not to my
00:10:06.960 knowledge not to my knowledge that's your new line of excuse again this is alam omar sitting
00:10:17.040 down with a friendly saying not to my knowledge am i related to this guy who people say is my
00:10:25.020 brother who i married now there's also another part of this investigation that we're learning
00:10:32.180 about, and it involves the family's finances. CBS News has also reported that federal prosecutors
00:10:39.300 are examining the financial disclosures involving businesses operated by Omar's husband. Those
00:10:47.040 disclosures initially reported business valuations totaling between $6 million and $30 million.
00:10:54.400 Omar subsequently attributed the figures to an accounting error and then filed amended
00:11:00.380 disclosures reporting substantially lower asset values. Federal authorities are examining those
00:11:06.140 discrepancies. And a discrepancy in a financial disclosure does not, by the way, automatically
00:11:10.840 mean somebody committed a crime. But what prosecutors are looking into is what happened
00:11:15.800 and whether any laws were violated and there was this much money, where did it actually go?
00:11:23.100 Now, these are all questions that she should have to answer. She was asked about her money and
00:11:29.360 she wants you to believe now that no no she's not rich she's working class and lives a very
00:11:35.780 basic life right right let me ask um about the second part of the world that the president
00:11:43.740 has conjured about you which is which is your fabulous wealth he has said that like i mean
00:11:49.180 again you just you can never track what the president's actually saying because he says a
00:11:53.280 lot of things um that you have all this money that you drive a lot of cars you have a bunch of houses
00:11:57.220 um they cited a financial disclosure for for congress that initially said that your husband's
00:12:04.840 firm was worth 30 million dollars that was before an accountant put in the liabilities of that firm
00:12:10.920 which then brought the 30 million down to like essentially net zero 20 000 which did make me
00:12:16.840 worry a little about your husband's business to be honest he's not in them anymore i was like well
00:12:22.080 that seems like a big difference between 30 million dollars and 20 000 there was a congressional
00:12:26.660 oversight body that voted that there's no wrongdoing there's no evidence of wrongdoing
00:12:31.640 what is your financial situation i mean it's you know working working class i guess like
00:12:38.160 paycheck to paycheck still you know we've got four kids um and you know we we live i think like a
00:12:45.660 life i i have a toyota camry that's from 2016 it's my only car um i rent my dc place and my
00:12:55.320 minneapolis place and so i mean i don't know that that sounds like you know not majority of congress
00:13:02.280 but there's some of us that are that don't come from wealth and don't have wealth is that a big
00:13:06.820 divide in congress it is yeah because you have like the millionaires and and then you have those
00:13:14.020 of us you know when we first went to congress had to borrow money to find a place it's expensive
00:13:18.880 to live in two places yeah it's expensive you know to live in two places when you listen to
00:13:27.500 that interview you almost have to ask yourself this question is it even an interview or is it
00:13:33.880 just straight up propaganda there's not a tough question there he's apologizing on her behalf
00:13:39.600 making it easier for to answer the questions those aren't hard questions it's like well
00:13:44.120 you know they they they said you didn't do anything wrong so you know let's let's just
00:13:48.360 make sure that everybody knows that you're totally fine. And hey, who cares if $6 million or $15
00:13:53.680 million or $20 or $30 million in fact disappeared and that you changed it? How do you get it that
00:13:59.340 wrong in your financial disclosures? There's a lot here. And this goes back to President Donald
00:14:05.820 Trump, a really important part of the question with President Donald Trump that he talked about.
00:14:12.340 And that is, hey, if you're committing fraud or abuse, it doesn't matter who you are.
00:14:19.180 It doesn't matter, by the way, if you are a member of Congress.
00:14:22.860 We are going to find it and we are going to make sure that you cannot abuse the system.
00:14:28.260 Now, ultimately, if it comes out in this investigation and she should have never been eligible to be in Congress, that she actually shouldn't even be in this country and that she lied on these forms.
00:14:40.720 that is going to send a massive message to others that have lied to get in this country
00:14:47.980 or others that have broken into this country or others that have lied on forms to stay in this
00:14:54.780 country that while donald trump's in office while he's the president while his administration is in
00:15:01.660 charge it doesn't matter who you are they are willing to look at everything and that may be
00:15:08.620 the more of this story. Thank you for listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.

00:15:35.780 and a cover-up at the highest levels of the United States Marine Corps.
00:15:39.920 If you've got five players and you offer immunity to four,
