00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.540 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.880 Governor Moore in Maryland signed a bill that is ending the law enforcement cooperation with ICE.
00:00:11.920 Well, first of all, it's another despicable action by Governor Wes Moore.
00:00:15.840 Why would you prevent your state and local law enforcement from cooperating with federal law enforcement?
00:00:21.020 So the president, of course, continues to always stand on the side of law enforcement.
00:00:24.860 And this is another just horrible and, frankly, political action taken by Governor Wes Moore.
00:00:31.000 And unfortunately, the people of his state are going to reap the consequences of it.
00:00:35.300 You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
00:00:39.120 Good Thursday morning. Nice to have you with us on the 47 Morning Update.
00:00:42.720 And we've got two big stories for you.
00:00:45.140 Grandma comes to the White House, a D.C. resident who lost her grandson to violence,
00:00:51.560 praises Donald Trump and says she loves him and to get off his back
00:00:56.100 because he's keeping Washington, D.C. safe.
00:01:00.220 It was a touching moment and it's a story you will not hear in the mainstream media
00:01:04.420 and we'll have it for you in just a second.
00:01:07.000 Also, in a big report, the FBI director, Cash Patel,
00:01:12.120 is now saying the FBI has uncovered Antifa's funding sources
00:01:17.940 and some of the money may be coming from overseas.
00:01:22.520 That as well.
00:01:23.740 It's the 47 Morning Update and it starts right now.
00:01:27.360 Story number one.
00:01:28.500 There was a really sincere and touching moment at the White House
00:01:31.980 that many of you will never, ever hear about
00:01:35.320 because the media doesn't want you to know that Donald Trump is actually winning
00:01:39.200 and doing what he said he was going to do about keeping people safe.
00:01:43.260 A Washington, D.C. grandmother who lost her grandson in 2017 due to violence in the city
00:01:50.160 came to the White House to praise Donald Trump,
00:01:53.480 stating that one thing she liked about him was that he keeps it real, just like Grandma.
00:01:59.700 During a Black History Month reception on Wednesday,
00:02:03.360 Trump spoke about how prior to his administration's cracking down on crime in the nation's capital,
00:02:08.220 the District of Columbia was a crime capital and a horror show.
00:02:13.720 Trump then introduced D.C.'s new favorite grandmother, Ms. Cook,
00:02:18.600 a lifelong Washington resident who tragically lost her grandson to violence in 2017.
00:02:25.840 Quote,
00:02:26.120 We can't provide opportunity for the next generation if we do not also have a thing called law and order.
00:02:33.120 We need law and order, Trump said.
00:02:35.400 You know, Washington, D.C. is amazing.
00:02:37.280 It was a crime capital.
00:02:39.880 It was a horror show.
00:02:41.120 A year ago, it was really dangerous.
00:02:43.420 And now it's one of the safest cities anywhere in the country.
00:02:46.880 Trump went on to introduce the grandmother.
00:02:50.020 And prior to speaking, Cook asked him for a hug.
00:02:53.360 I want you to listen to this incredible moment of where policy becomes real to the American people.
00:03:01.200 Come on.
00:03:02.280 First of all, can I have a hug?
00:03:04.020 Yes, you can.
00:03:05.560 Thank you.
00:03:06.000 Thank you.
00:03:07.280 I like her.
00:03:12.380 Please.
00:03:12.980 I like him, too.
00:03:14.700 One thing I like about him, he keeps it real just like Grandma.
00:03:18.920 I appreciate that because I can trust him because he tells exactly how he feel and what he thinks.
00:03:24.620 Thank God for this president.
00:03:26.380 I feel my cup runneth over because he allowed his constituents, his people to come to my house to interview me to talk about the murder of my grandson.
00:03:44.520 It seemed like nobody.
00:03:45.520 It seemed like nobody cared.
00:03:47.520 I'm an advocate for murder.
00:03:49.520 I marched.
00:03:50.520 I rallied.
00:03:51.520 I rallied.
00:03:52.520 I pulled out other families in the District of Columbia that had murders and did not have answers.
00:03:57.220 We marched and we rallied and nobody heard me, Democrats get mad at me, until this Republican sent his constituents, his people out there to interview me in my home.
00:04:13.500 Have you ever heard of a thing?
00:04:14.500 Then they invited me twice before Congress to testify for the beautiful bill that's going to change crime in the district.
00:04:25.500 If you kill somebody, okay, you take a life, you do life.
00:04:32.500 Just that simple.
00:04:34.500 If you do a harsh crime, you do harsh time.
00:04:38.500 Just that simple.
00:04:40.500 And if we need National Guard and which we did years ago, he brought it on.
00:04:49.500 I love him.
00:04:50.500 I don't want to hear nothing you got to say about that racist stuff.
00:04:53.500 And don't be looking at me on the news hating on me because I'm standing up for somebody that deserves to be standing up for. 0.88
00:05:00.500 Get off the man's back. 0.84
00:05:01.500 Let him do his job.
00:05:02.500 He's doing the right thing.
00:05:04.500 Back up off of me.
00:05:06.500 And grandma said it.
00:05:23.500 You will never hear that.
00:05:28.500 And from the mainstream media, that moment celebrating black history and a grandmother who lost her grandson praising President Trump for what he's doing to protect the African-American community in Washington, D.C.
00:05:41.500 is not on the nightly news.
00:05:43.500 Why?
00:05:44.500 Because it's just too dangerous.
00:05:47.500 It's too much truth and reality about the situation.
00:05:51.500 And Donald Trump, yet again, putting all Americans first and their safety, even if they're in a liberal city like Washington, D.C.
00:06:00.500 Now, story number two.
00:06:01.500 Cash Patel, the FBI director, is now coming out and saying that the FBI has uncovered Antifa funding sources in a major breaking news event.
00:06:12.500 Now, let me remind you of where we were about four months ago when Cash Patel was talking at the White House.
00:06:19.500 When Cash Patel was talking at the White House with President Trump.
00:06:22.500 President Trump and this is what he said.
00:06:24.500 What we are doing at the FBI is simple.
00:06:27.500 It does not require rocket science.
00:06:29.500 We are following the money.
00:06:31.500 Money never lies. 0.98
00:06:32.500 And that's what it's going to take to bring down this network of organized criminal thugs, gangbangers, and yes, domestic terrorists, because that's what they are.
00:06:42.500 They are harming everyday citizens in every single one of our communities.
00:06:46.500 And the folks you see here on the right and left, they're some of the bravest men and women we have today.
00:06:50.500 They're reporting the stories live time because the mainstream media won't cover it.
00:06:53.500 They're putting their lives on the line.
00:06:55.500 They're standing up for the flag.
00:06:57.500 The least we can do is stand up for them.
00:06:59.500 So you have my thanks.
00:07:00.500 I read more of your stories than I do theirs because you guys are putting out the truth.
00:07:04.500 And we deserve a country where you are protected as equally as they are.
00:07:08.500 We, in this FBI, will go after the criminals with a vengeance.
00:07:11.500 We will not rest until we find every single seed, money, donor, organization, and funding mechanism that we have.
00:07:19.500 And I want to echo the secretary's comments on Scott Besson, who's allowing us to map out these networks through their financial criminal activities, which has been going on for decades.
00:07:29.500 And I would like to remind the American public, they built this disease temple of corruption over decades.
00:07:35.500 And in eight short months, Mr. President, you have crippled their foundation because of your leadership here, because of the interagency, because of people like Deputy Attorney General Blanche, and because of Attorney General Pam Bondi's fearless leadership to go after criminals wherever they are.
00:07:48.500 They will not be able to hide.
00:07:50.500 They were able to hide and conspire with prior administrations.
00:07:53.500 And we are exposing their corruption from within.
00:07:56.500 And we will go to every single city in this country under Operation Summer Heat and the other operations we are doing at the FBI to bring these criminals to justice.
00:08:04.500 We will arrest every single one of them from whatever perch you sit in, private or public, no matter how your goal or your ambition is.
00:08:11.500 It will be crushed by the Constitution because the American people deserve law and order.
00:08:15.500 And that's what we're going to give you.
00:08:17.500 You listen to Kash Patel there, and he made it very clear we're going to go after the funders.
00:08:22.500 The FBI will follow the funds to dismantle Antifa operations.
00:08:28.500 So fast forward just four and a half months later, and the FBI director is saying now that investigators have uncovered what he described as major funding streams tied to Antifa.
00:08:40.500 The revelation signaled possible new enforcement actions as the bureau is intensifying their scrutiny of left wing violence, according to the report coming out from the Washington Examiner.
00:08:53.500 Kash Patel also speaking on the Dan Bongino show said the FBI under President Donald Trump has been conducting a financial investigation into how demonstrations linked to the loosely organized far left movement are really supported.
00:09:09.500 Here's part of that interview.
00:09:11.500 There's been actual action to take down and dismantle this entire ring of people.
00:09:16.500 You're right.
00:09:17.500 We set out to actually activate intelligence based operations.
00:09:22.500 This includes Antifa.
00:09:23.500 And, Dan, you know this.
00:09:24.500 How many people were arrested related to Prairie Land?
00:09:26.500 We're over two dozen federal arrests.
00:09:28.500 We're in the middle of federal trial in five of those defendants this week again in Texas.
00:09:33.500 Nineteen people have been convicted for acts of violence related to Antifa.
00:09:39.500 It's in the indictment.
00:09:40.500 You don't got to believe me or you.
00:09:41.500 Everybody can go read the public indictment.
00:09:43.500 And it didn't just happen there.
00:09:45.500 It happened in Cop City in Georgia, where we had to go rearrest everybody because the state authorities couldn't get their act together to produce the enough enough information to take that to trial.
00:09:55.500 That's what we did.
00:09:56.500 And it's not a creation or manufacturing of information.
00:10:00.500 It exists.
00:10:01.500 It's just a willingness that you and I and this building's new leadership took to say, we're going to look at the facts that exist.
00:10:08.500 We're not going to try to make up facts that don't so we can serve a political narrative.
00:10:12.500 And I know you know this, but wait till you see what's coming in the next month or two on the funding streams related to this.
00:10:20.500 You and I had launched a serious investigation.
00:10:22.500 We had said these organizations don't operate alone.
00:10:25.500 Don't operate in silence.
00:10:27.500 They operate with a heavy, heavy stream of funding.
00:10:31.500 And we started looking into it.
00:10:33.500 And guess what, Dan?
00:10:34.500 We found them.
00:10:35.500 We found them.
00:10:36.500 Now, to be clear, Patel did not identify specific donors, organizations or financial mechanisms, but said more details could emerge in the coming months as the investigation continues.
00:10:49.500 The FBI director said agents are examining whether funding has flowed through U.S.-based nonprofit groups.
00:10:57.500 Let me say that again.
00:10:58.500 There's also some groups that have tax exempt status as well as possible foreign sources.
00:11:15.500 He emphasized that investigators are focused on tracing financial support tied to acts of violence specifically and not constitutionally protected protest activity.
00:11:27.500 Go back to what Cash Patel said.
00:11:30.500 Money doesn't lie.
00:11:31.500 Describing the effort as a strategy to follow the money to determine who may be underwriting unlawful conduct.
00:11:39.500 Patel also pointed to prosecutions the Bureau has already brought that he said were connected to Antifa related violence, including federal arrests and convictions tied to protest incidents in multiple states now under his leadership.
00:11:56.500 He referenced that ongoing federal trial involving nine defendants in Texas.
00:12:01.500 They're accused of ambushing and attempting to murder ICE personnel on July the 4th of last year.
00:12:08.500 Patel also cited a case from 2023 in Georgia surrounding the proposed Atlanta public safety training facility known as Cop City.
00:12:19.500 The director said the FBI has elevated the issue internally by creating what he described as a dedicated program focused on identifying financial backers of protest related violence.
00:12:32.500 Tracking Antifa has become so important that the Bureau, he said, established additional resources to investigate the funding behind such activity.
00:12:42.500 Antifa has long been described by participants and many analysts as a decentralized movement rather than a formal organization, a distinction that has complicated past law enforcement efforts.
00:12:56.500 They did this on purpose.
00:12:58.500 They did this on purpose.
00:12:59.500 Why?
00:13:00.500 Because it's hard to pursue conspiracy style cases.
00:13:02.500 Patel points to Antifa's organizational structures, including conferences and a national network for local chapters.
00:13:10.500 Bongino also criticized past FBI leadership under Democratic President Barack Obama and Joe Biden for describing Antifa as they said an idea, quote unquote.
00:13:23.500 It's not an idea when actual action follows the idea.
00:13:28.500 In September of 25, Trump also signed that executive order declaring Antifa a domestic terrorist organization after first raising the idea during his first term.
00:13:40.500 Patel said the FBI's current approach relies solely on intelligence and financial investigations similar to those used in other counterterrorism probes.
00:13:52.500 He did not announce new charges tied specifically to the alleged funding networks.
00:13:57.500 But clearly, there's a lot more of this story coming very soon.
00:14:01.500 And it also goes back to what was said five months ago at the White House.
00:14:05.500 Donald Trump had a clear mandate on this issue.
00:14:08.500 And Kash Patel and Dan Bongino made sure to pay off on that mandate so the American people got exactly what they voted for.
