00:02:51.440 It is the 47 Morning Update, and it starts right now.
00:02:54.560 Story number one. 1.00
00:02:55.720 There's an old saying in politics, it's the economy, stupid. 0.99
00:02:59.080 It's an important one, because if Americans feel like the economy is not going in the right direction, 0.99
00:03:04.260 they almost always blame whoever is in charge of the country, the President of the United States of America.
00:03:11.820 Well, there are a lot of Americans right now that are not happy where pricing is and where the economy is.
00:03:18.060 It's part of the reason why President Donald Trump was elected president.
00:03:21.620 But Democrats are seizing this moment to now say that Donald Trump's economy is a disaster.
00:03:27.580 The Trump White House, they're fighting back and working to fix what they describe as the affordability crisis
00:03:35.060 and proving that they're making significant progress in this area after Americans suffered under Bidenflation for years.
00:03:44.260 The White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt pointing out during Thursday's press briefing just how bad things were,
00:03:50.460 saying, quote,
00:03:51.740 These gains came after the summer passage of President Trump's historic tax cuts
00:03:56.800 and multiple big trade deals with countries around the world.
00:04:00.680 In particular, construction jobs have surged by 19,000 in September,
00:04:04.860 the largest monthly gain in a year.
00:04:08.720 She also pointed out that most of this growth came from private sector
00:04:13.620 This, Leavitt pointed out, is the opposite of what we saw under the Biden administration.
00:04:25.900 She also reminded Americans of this, that inflation also remains under control
00:04:31.380 and wages are up 3.8% over the year for American workers
00:04:37.120 because of President Trump's pro-growth policies.
00:04:40.420 In fact, real wages are at a pace to increase roughly $1,200 for the average worker this year,
00:04:48.900 alone under President Donald Trump.
00:04:51.580 Now, if the economy is in such bad shape, how is it that wages are going up like this?
00:04:57.940 Now, there's no doubt that a lot of the money we're making now is going to goods and services that are high price.
00:05:04.200 The president also working on that, saying, quote,
00:05:08.040 What we're doing, this is a complete reversal.
00:05:12.120 When we saw inflation skyrocket to 9%,
00:05:15.520 causing private sector workers to see their wages decline by approximately $3,000.
00:05:22.720 While Americans are still suffering the consequences of the four years of economic disaster of the Biden administration,
00:05:29.120 the White House press secretary said Donald Trump is making significant progress to fix this,
00:05:34.860 and he will not stop working until he solves it.
00:05:37.840 As the president recently stated, he is never satisfied.
00:05:42.120 In economic news, the September jobs report showed the American economy remains strong,
00:05:47.280 with 119,000 new jobs added, more than double expectations.
00:05:52.840 These gains came after the summer passage of President Trump's historic tax cuts
00:05:58.400 and multiple big trade deals with countries around the world.
00:06:02.720 In particular, construction jobs surged by 19,000 in September,
00:06:07.620 the largest monthly gain in a year.
00:06:10.440 Nearly all of this solid monthly job growth came from the private sector
00:06:14.300 and went to Americans rather than foreign-born workers,
00:06:18.440 the opposite of what we saw under the previous administration.
00:06:21.560 Inflation also remains under control,
00:06:24.700 and wages are up by 3.8% over the year for American workers
00:06:28.780 because of President Trump's pro-growth policies.
00:06:33.020 In fact, real wages are on pace to increase roughly $1,200
00:06:36.940 for the average worker this year under President Trump.
00:06:41.060 This is a complete reversal of the failed Biden era,
00:06:44.420 when we saw inflation skyrocket to 9%,
00:06:47.220 causing private sector workers to see their wages decline
00:06:50.660 by approximately $3,000.
00:06:53.420 We know that Americans are still hurting from the four-decade high inflation
00:06:57.920 caused by Joe Biden and the Democrats.
00:07:00.380 But President Trump is making significant progress to fix this,
00:07:04.400 and he will not stop working until he solves it.
00:07:08.220 As the president recently stated, he is never satisfied.
00:07:11.760 The White House press secretary wasn't the only one talking about the positives in the economy.
00:07:17.140 Vice President J.D. Vance also pointing to the economic realities of,
00:07:22.460 yes, things are bad in some categories because of what happened over the last four years.
00:07:27.620 But the Biden administration didn't ruin America,
00:07:30.940 and Donald Trump is fixing it as fast as he possibly can.
00:07:34.340 Here's what the vice president had to say in a Breitbart News event on Thursday.
00:07:39.100 Vice President, the big news this morning is new jobs numbers blew away expectations.
00:07:43.820 Huge.
00:07:44.220 From the September numbers, so these were delayed because of the government shutdown,
00:07:47.620 more than double, 119,000 new jobs.
00:07:50.300 And then also there's some interesting stuff in the wages numbers there as well
00:07:54.520 that shows wages on the rise.
00:07:56.000 Your thoughts on the jobs numbers?
00:07:57.100 Okay, so a huge jobs report, and I assume the market is going crazy right now,
00:08:01.320 probably just opened, because what this shows is that the Trump economic policies are actually working.
00:08:06.700 And you've got 119,000 new jobs.
00:08:08.820 Economists thought that we would have about 50,000 new jobs,
00:08:11.340 but that's actually just the headline number.
00:08:13.420 If you look below the surface, I think the numbers are actually better.
00:08:16.180 So number one, wages continue to way outpace inflation.
00:08:20.260 If you go back to the three years of the Biden administration,
00:08:22.700 the average American worker actually lost about $3,000 of take-home pay.
00:08:27.580 In the first 10 months of the Trump economy,
00:08:29.640 we've increased take-home pay by about $1,200 adjusting for inflation.
00:08:33.800 So that's a huge, huge thing, and this jobs report confirms that.
00:08:37.180 So if you go back to the lie being told by the media that things are terrible,
00:08:41.200 they weren't freaking out when workers lost about $3,000 of take-home pay
00:08:46.740 under the Biden administration.
00:08:48.240 In the first 10 months of the Trump economy,
00:08:52.180 you've got wage increases, a take-home pay of about $1,200.
00:08:57.980 That is a massive $4,200 swing.
00:09:03.720 Now, he also highlighted the private sector is driving this economy growth,
00:09:08.420 and that jobs are going to native-born citizens rather than foreign workers.
00:09:14.100 It's a drastic change from the reality under the Biden administration.
00:09:17.480 And what happened under the Biden administration is to the extent
00:09:21.360 that there was any job growth at all.
00:09:24.700 If you look at the data, J.D. Vance said,
00:09:27.360 almost all of the net job creation in the United States under the Biden administration
00:09:31.840 went to foreign-born workers.
00:09:35.320 Now, of course, some of those people are illegal immigrants in the United States of America,
00:09:39.060 he continued.
00:09:39.980 But that meant a lot of the job creation was actually going to illegal aliens 0.86
00:09:43.640 who shouldn't have been in our country. 0.95
00:09:45.800 Senator Bernie Marino, Republican from Ohio,
00:09:49.220 also pointed out the fact that the influx of foreign workers imported by the Biden administration
00:09:54.460 really hurt American workers.
00:09:57.540 And Americans will remember the damage that was inflicted upon the country
00:10:01.100 under the Biden administration.
00:10:03.340 And it cannot be undone what they did to this country in a matter of months,
00:10:07.240 surging this country with up to 20 million illegal immigrants.
00:10:09.940 He also urged Republicans to respond with urgency,
00:10:14.520 saying these realities coincide with the Trump administration celebrating the strides made
00:10:20.320 in the affordability crisis since Donald Trump took office in January.
00:10:25.120 That includes falling gas prices, which reached record highs under Joe Biden,
00:10:31.340 as well as dipping mortgage rates, falling inflation, and boosts in take-home pay.
00:10:37.760 Those victories do not even include what the Trump administration has achieved through trade deals
00:10:44.100 and historic investments secured by the president,
00:10:47.040 all of which the president has been talking about as steps in the right direction.
00:10:52.680 What the media should be calling this is the Trump effect.
00:10:56.640 Since President Donald Trump returned to office,
00:10:59.420 it's very clear that his America First economic policies
00:11:03.160 have sparked trillions of dollars in new investments in U.S. manufacturing,
00:11:08.280 technology, and infrastructure.
00:11:11.620 Total U.S. and foreign investment is now at $9 trillion.
00:11:15.520 Where's the money coming from?
00:11:17.460 The UAE putting in foreign investments of $1.4 trillion
00:11:21.360 into manufacturing and industry, technology, aerospace as well.
00:11:26.800 Qatar putting $1.2 trillion into America. 0.90
00:11:30.180 Again, in manufacturing and industry sector,
00:11:32.840 with technology and manufacturing being the main point.
00:11:36.080 Japan, $1 trillion into auto plants and U.S. steel.
00:11:40.560 Apple, $600 billion into technology and manufacturing as well.
00:11:45.740 EU firms putting in general investment of $600 billion.
00:11:49.980 Saudi Arabia putting in $600 billion and now saying it's going to go to $1 trillion.
00:11:56.280 Again, in technology and manufacturing.
00:11:59.000 SoftBank, OpenAI and Oracle, $500 billion all AI infrastructure projects.
00:12:07.220 NVIDIA, $1.5 trillion into AI infrastructure and supercomputers.
00:12:12.720 India, investing $1.5 billion in mutual trade expansion.
00:12:17.040 South Korea, $450 billion U.S. energy products.
00:12:22.220 Micron, $200 billion semiconductor manufacturing and research and development.
00:12:27.100 IBM, $150 billion of growth and manufacturing operations in the U.S.
00:12:33.780 Pfizer, $70 billion into research, development, and capital projects.
00:12:40.020 And Google, $68 billion for AI infrastructure.
00:12:43.960 Electrician grants.
00:12:45.840 Hydropower facilities, just to name a few.
00:12:48.840 There are countless investments.
00:12:51.260 I could go on and on with Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Amazon, Hyundai, Eli Lilly.
00:12:59.940 The list is long.
00:13:01.960 But what did the president do here?
00:13:03.680 He made it clear.
00:13:05.020 If you want to do business in America, you need to invest in America. 0.99
00:13:09.620 You can't just export or import.
00:13:11.760 You must be a real player in this country.
00:13:15.140 And that is exactly why the president has made it possible, through his leadership,
00:13:19.720 for the U.S. to see a surge of private and foreign investments that are fueling job growth,
00:13:25.280 innovation, and opportunity across every corner of the country.
00:13:30.380 So yet again, the president making good on a promise,
00:13:33.540 even though the media is trying to tell you that everything's terrible in America.
00:13:37.820 And the reality is, we're moving in the right direction.
