00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.660 Guaranteed human.
00:00:03.960 ...a time how we can save the next generation.
00:00:07.040 We've got our show, and the info is an antidote,
00:00:09.560 but we also have a couple books coming out, Clay.
00:00:12.060 That's right, and you can pre-order both of them right now
00:00:15.020 and be book nerds just like us.
00:00:17.060 You'll laugh, you'll nod, and you'll get smarter, too.
00:00:20.000 Mine's called Balls, How Trump, Young Men, and Sports Saved America.
00:00:23.800 And mine is Manufacturing Delusion, How the Left Uses Brainwashing,
00:00:27.360 Indoctrination, and Propaganda Against You.
00:00:30.440 Both are great reads.
00:00:31.820 Welcome in.
00:00:33.180 It is going to be a hard show.
00:00:34.640 It is going to be a difficult show.
00:00:36.520 I imagine that a lot of you are like both the buck and myself.
00:00:40.420 It's hard to sleep.
00:00:41.720 May not have gotten a lot of sleep.
00:00:44.080 Probably have been, hopefully, hugging your kids, your grandkids closer
00:00:48.700 and trying to deal with the fact that we live in a world
00:00:53.680 where if you have the wrong opinion,
00:00:57.240 and I know many of you, sadly, including me,
00:01:00.560 have expected things like these.
00:01:03.040 We've been talking about it, unfortunately,
00:01:04.780 for over a year after President Trump took a bullet to the ear.
00:01:09.380 It's awful.
00:01:11.020 We ended yesterday's show.
00:01:14.220 Buck and I, if you watch on video,
00:01:15.740 are regularly scrolling through our phone
00:01:19.220 to make sure that we are the absolute best informed
00:01:23.500 and get you information as fast as we possibly can.
00:01:27.660 And Buck saw it first yesterday during the show,
00:01:31.600 and I could see in his face that something was very bad.
00:01:35.380 And unfortunately, about an hour after the show ended, Buck,
00:01:39.140 you were basically on Fox News when it happened,
00:01:42.080 and Charlie Kirk is gone, 31 years old.
00:01:46.680 He leaves behind a young son, young daughter,
00:01:51.200 very, very young son and daughter, loving wife,
00:01:55.080 and they killed him because they did not like his political opinions.
00:02:00.860 And we're going to talk a lot about this
00:02:02.960 and have a big conversation with all of you,
00:02:05.560 but I think at its essence,
00:02:08.240 this is where words are violence leads to.
00:02:12.820 I think if you have to boil it down,
00:02:14.740 the left has accepted the idea
00:02:17.280 that if you or I or any of us say something that they do not like,
00:02:21.940 that violence is an appropriate response.
00:02:25.460 And where this event, this assassination took place,
00:02:28.980 was in many ways perfectly reflective of the impact
00:02:35.600 that Charlie Kirk has had in his life
00:02:38.660 on a college campus with an open mic
00:02:42.120 where anyone on the campus could walk up
00:02:46.360 and tell him why he was wrong
00:02:48.700 and they could debate anything under the sun.
00:02:52.940 And he had done this,
00:02:54.020 and he was so profoundly successful at it
00:02:57.440 that he had particularly moved the hearts and minds
00:03:01.000 of many young men.
00:03:02.000 And, Buck, I'll toss it to you here in a sec,
00:03:03.760 but let me tell you this.
00:03:05.280 My two oldest boys,
00:03:07.460 their entire school today in Nashville
00:03:10.480 dressed up in coats and ties
00:03:14.020 in honor of Charlie Kirk.
00:03:16.240 And you went to a school where you had to dress up sometimes.
00:03:18.780 Let me tell you,
00:03:19.740 these boys don't want to wear coats and ties.
00:03:22.800 They usually are always complaining.
00:03:25.280 They're like, oh, it's a coat and tie day, Dad.
00:03:28.700 The whole school wore coats and ties
00:03:30.740 in honor of Charlie Kirk.
00:03:31.940 And I understand some of you,
00:03:33.600 maybe you're in your 60s, 70s, 80s,
00:03:35.660 you might not have been the target audience
00:03:38.200 necessarily seeing this content.
00:03:40.520 But I would tell you,
00:03:41.640 particularly if you have sons,
00:03:43.460 grandsons,
00:03:44.760 young people in your households,
00:03:46.320 they may be hurting quite a bit
00:03:48.320 and impacted by this far more
00:03:51.400 than even you might have been.
00:03:52.880 So, Buck, it is just a devastating,
00:03:56.040 yet sadly not unexpected to me event.
00:04:01.100 It's a day of mourning for the whole country
00:04:03.640 because of what happened within the last 24 hours.
00:04:07.440 And also it is the remembrance of 9-11 today.
00:04:10.840 So it's a particularly hard and emotional day.
00:04:15.720 It was going to be before this horrific event happened
00:04:20.000 and now we sit here with you
00:04:22.000 and we grieve with all of you
00:04:24.380 because of what happened to Charlie
00:04:28.100 and which is just horrific beyond words.
00:04:32.560 We were, when Clay saw me yesterday,
00:04:34.940 I felt like I was going to throw up
00:04:38.060 when I was reading the initial text messages about it
00:04:40.460 and we went into a commercial break
00:04:42.580 at the very end of the show.
00:04:44.420 Of course, I didn't want to say anything at first
00:04:46.100 because there are some news stories
00:04:48.560 that you just cannot get wrong.
00:04:50.820 You can't.
00:04:51.520 And there's so much false information
00:04:53.520 out there these days.
00:04:54.660 So we really wanted to be,
00:04:57.220 just bring you the facts about this.
00:04:59.020 And then I was on with Will,
00:05:00.400 Will Kane,
00:05:01.340 who's been a friend of mine now
00:05:02.760 for, I don't know, 15,
00:05:04.940 almost 15 years.
00:05:05.860 And Will texted me,
00:05:08.380 he said,
00:05:08.540 will you please come on
00:05:09.280 and talk about what's going on?
00:05:11.340 And I got some,
00:05:12.980 I got word when I was on the air,
00:05:14.900 it was very early on in the show, Clay,
00:05:16.580 but I had already been informed pretty reliably
00:05:19.400 that Charlie wasn't going to make it.
00:05:22.200 But then I, again,
00:05:23.500 I, you know,
00:05:24.300 we're dealing with the not certain,
00:05:27.320 you know,
00:05:27.560 obviously I can't say that
00:05:30.340 if I'm not 100% sure,
00:05:33.080 but I'm thinking,
00:05:33.980 and I'm, you know,
00:05:35.260 it's just all the processing,
00:05:37.880 the grief,
00:05:38.820 the trauma that people feel right now,
00:05:40.660 we feel it with you.
00:05:43.400 Clay and I both knew and liked Charlie
00:05:46.480 and had tremendous respect
00:05:49.320 for what he had built
00:05:51.040 and what he had done.
00:05:52.660 And in this last election,
00:05:55.100 playing a critical role,
00:05:57.000 especially with getting that youth vote
00:06:00.360 to start to see reality
00:06:02.080 and it's just one of those moments, Clay,
00:06:08.240 where you go to bed at night
00:06:09.560 to the degree you can even sleep
00:06:11.020 and it's still, you know,
00:06:13.360 just doesn't feel like this could have been what happened.
00:06:16.700 It's so horrific
00:06:17.740 and it's so wrong and evil on so many levels.
00:06:21.980 I feel for Charlie's family,
00:06:25.380 his wife,
00:06:26.020 his two small children,
00:06:27.920 his mom,
00:06:28.720 his dad,
00:06:29.280 everybody,
00:06:30.040 all of his family is just,
00:06:32.800 you know,
00:06:33.260 it's,
00:06:33.840 I don't know how it's possible for them to
00:06:35.600 even begin to
00:06:37.440 deal with something like this.
00:06:41.140 Charlie was a force of nature.
00:06:42.760 Charlie was doing
00:06:43.940 really incredible work
00:06:46.980 and returning
00:06:50.580 in a lot of ways,
00:06:51.660 I think, Clay,
00:06:53.480 the conversation back to
00:06:55.720 some of our core
00:06:57.160 and most important founding principles.
00:06:59.580 All right,
00:06:59.920 let's talk about,
00:07:00.760 let's have this debate,
00:07:01.940 let's have this exchange of ideas.
00:07:04.880 And,
00:07:05.480 you know,
00:07:06.560 I know that there's this sense
00:07:08.500 that, well,
00:07:09.480 we're in mourning
00:07:10.660 and so should we get into
00:07:13.320 the politics of this right away?
00:07:15.140 Charlie was assassinated.
00:07:18.640 I mean,
00:07:18.820 this was a terror act.
00:07:20.220 This was an assassination.
00:07:21.520 He was killed because of his politics.
00:07:24.140 That's right.
00:07:24.460 So it's impossible
00:07:24.960 not to talk about politics.
00:07:27.100 That's exactly
00:07:27.840 what I want to express.
00:07:30.260 Thank you.
00:07:30.680 Yes.
00:07:31.720 This wasn't a,
00:07:33.260 you know,
00:07:33.560 it would be,
00:07:34.460 it would be tragic and horrible
00:07:36.220 if he had,
00:07:37.000 you know,
00:07:37.620 died because of,
00:07:38.860 you know,
00:07:39.060 an armed robber who shot him
00:07:40.500 or something like that.
00:07:41.360 That would be horrible.
00:07:42.280 That would be a terrible crime.
00:07:43.420 But this was done
00:07:44.480 because of who Charlie was.
00:07:45.800 We all know that.
00:07:46.640 In fact,
00:07:47.040 the FBI,
00:07:47.820 and we'll continue to,
00:07:48.980 I am hopeful
00:07:49.780 that there will be an arrest
00:07:52.200 while we are on the air today.
00:07:54.740 That's not going to bring Charlie back
00:07:56.340 and I know that this is not going to
00:07:58.660 be able to comfort
00:08:00.840 the grieving right now
00:08:02.780 in a meaningful way,
00:08:04.740 but it will at least be
00:08:06.620 the justice system
00:08:07.800 beginning to do
00:08:09.840 what it is possible
00:08:10.680 for the justice system to do,
00:08:12.040 to create some accountability.
00:08:14.560 I think this should be
00:08:15.760 a death penalty case
00:08:16.820 for the individual involved.
00:08:19.680 I am hopeful
00:08:20.640 that they will
00:08:21.260 get this person.
00:08:24.040 There's
00:08:24.480 reporting that they,
00:08:26.200 they have,
00:08:26.660 they have the weapon uses,
00:08:28.020 a bolt action rifle.
00:08:30.180 That is confirmed
00:08:31.140 by the FBI.
00:08:31.780 I watched the press conference
00:08:32.780 this morning.
00:08:34.580 It's 200 yards,
00:08:35.680 perhaps 200 plus yards shot.
00:08:37.480 So it's somebody
00:08:39.580 who had an understanding
00:08:40.940 of how to,
00:08:41.740 you know,
00:08:41.920 they had some practice.
00:08:43.100 This is not
00:08:43.880 someone who bought a gun
00:08:45.580 and then the next day
00:08:46.740 went,
00:08:47.240 just went on a shooting spree.
00:08:48.600 This is somebody
00:08:49.060 who had some
00:08:49.700 ability to shoot
00:08:51.960 with accuracy.
00:08:54.240 They're saying
00:08:55.000 they think it's right now
00:08:55.940 the person,
00:08:56.540 the main personal interest
00:08:57.460 is college age.
00:08:58.480 We'll see.
00:08:58.980 I mean,
00:08:59.120 they've been a lot of,
00:09:00.480 you have update on this right now.
00:09:01.760 Let me just mention,
00:09:02.120 I just retweeted,
00:09:03.060 they have shared photos
00:09:04.180 of the individual
00:09:05.920 that from FBI,
00:09:07.500 Salt Lake City,
00:09:08.640 field office,
00:09:10.320 they have photos
00:09:11.080 of the man
00:09:11.720 that they believe
00:09:12.780 is responsible
00:09:14.080 for the shooting.
00:09:16.160 And I just retweeted
00:09:18.100 those,
00:09:18.740 college age,
00:09:19.500 as you were going to say.
00:09:20.380 So they have clear video,
00:09:21.480 college age.
00:09:22.240 I will note
00:09:22.840 that there have been
00:09:23.680 numerous photos
00:09:25.160 of individuals
00:09:26.060 of interest
00:09:27.000 shared previously,
00:09:28.960 including FBI statements
00:09:30.320 that we have a,
00:09:31.400 this is,
00:09:32.040 this is where
00:09:32.640 the investigative process
00:09:33.660 can be a little confusing
00:09:34.780 or can create
00:09:35.840 some confusion,
00:09:36.580 especially in the
00:09:37.060 online ecosystem.
00:09:38.560 A person of interest
00:09:39.520 does not mean
00:09:40.000 we have the person.
00:09:41.940 It's exactly
00:09:42.620 what it sounds like.
00:09:43.320 It's,
00:09:43.640 we think this is a person
00:09:44.660 we definitely need
00:09:45.720 to speak to.
00:09:46.200 There have been
00:09:46.760 a couple of those
00:09:47.420 people in custody.
00:09:48.400 Initially,
00:09:48.800 there was the,
00:09:49.580 there was some
00:09:50.580 crazy old guy
00:09:51.980 who was saying,
00:09:53.280 you know,
00:09:53.820 and people thought
00:09:54.440 that he had not,
00:09:55.560 he did not,
00:09:56.200 he was right there,
00:09:56.880 he didn't,
00:09:57.240 had nothing to do
00:09:57.840 with the shooting
00:09:58.320 or,
00:09:59.640 you know,
00:09:59.880 it clearly wasn't him.
00:10:01.480 So there's been a lot
00:10:02.600 of iterations
00:10:04.820 of this already.
00:10:05.680 So Clay,
00:10:06.000 yes,
00:10:06.260 there's video out there
00:10:07.420 of this individual.
00:10:08.080 The FBI has also confirmed
00:10:10.320 that there are things
00:10:14.060 written on the rifle
00:10:16.000 and I believe
00:10:17.440 on the shell casings
00:10:18.500 from this morning's
00:10:20.260 press conference,
00:10:20.940 which is going to be,
00:10:24.540 it's going to tell us
00:10:25.800 what the,
00:10:27.100 we know the motivation
00:10:27.880 is politics,
00:10:28.620 we know this was
00:10:29.200 an assassination,
00:10:30.520 we might have
00:10:31.420 a more direct sense,
00:10:33.680 a more precise sense
00:10:34.800 of what this maniac,
00:10:38.260 and I agree with people
00:10:39.120 say,
00:10:39.440 when you say maniac,
00:10:40.500 that makes it sound
00:10:41.600 like a person
00:10:42.100 not of their right mind.
00:10:43.820 It's really just demonic.
00:10:45.480 It's a demonic act
00:10:46.720 to do this to Charlie,
00:10:48.220 to do this to Charlie's family,
00:10:49.460 to do this to the American people.
00:10:51.740 And one thing I can say
00:10:52.980 to all of you,
00:10:53.640 and Clay totally,
00:10:54.640 I know he cosigns on this,
00:10:56.420 I know that he is
00:10:57.240 of the same heart and mind
00:10:58.240 in this as I am.
00:10:59.500 If something like this
00:11:00.480 had happened
00:11:00.880 to a prominent Democrat,
00:11:02.380 I also would have
00:11:03.340 felt sick to my stomach.
00:11:04.440 I also would have said,
00:11:05.800 what the heck is going on
00:11:07.060 in this country?
00:11:07.980 This is,
00:11:08.580 this is disgusting,
00:11:10.300 it is egregious,
00:11:11.100 it is inhuman.
00:11:13.420 And yet, Clay,
00:11:14.200 last night I was on,
00:11:15.380 I went on Blue Sky.
00:11:17.720 Do you know about the,
00:11:18.780 have you been on Blue Sky?
00:11:19.520 No, I didn't go on,
00:11:21.560 but I have seen the postings.
00:11:22.940 I mean,
00:11:23.140 this is not a fringe part
00:11:25.940 of the left.
00:11:27.080 There is malignant glee
00:11:28.720 over this assassination
00:11:30.360 that is widely shared
00:11:32.780 and disgusting,
00:11:35.580 but I don't want you thinking,
00:11:37.600 oh, this is,
00:11:38.320 they're going to try to say,
00:11:39.140 oh, this is just
00:11:39.940 an aberrational individual.
00:11:42.100 This is not reflective
00:11:43.280 of ideas on the left.
00:11:44.960 No.
00:11:45.020 There is a huge,
00:11:46.180 toxic foundational core
00:11:48.020 of the Democrat Party,
00:11:50.000 of the far left
00:11:50.900 in this country,
00:11:51.640 that is celebrating
00:11:53.080 political violence
00:11:54.440 and assassination
00:11:55.220 of people they don't like.
00:11:57.460 Blue Sky,
00:11:58.440 which I do not recommend
00:11:59.320 any of you download
00:12:00.040 or go on,
00:12:00.580 but I felt like I needed to
00:12:01.820 in advance of this show.
00:12:04.320 And it's,
00:12:04.720 honestly,
00:12:05.660 it's so depraved.
00:12:07.680 It is a giant echo chamber
00:12:09.260 of,
00:12:09.920 of,
00:12:11.180 people
00:12:13.040 congratulating each other
00:12:14.940 and cheering
00:12:15.720 for what happened yesterday.
00:12:17.700 It's the most,
00:12:18.600 I mean,
00:12:19.520 it,
00:12:20.720 I,
00:12:21.180 honestly,
00:12:22.560 just nightmare stuff.
00:12:23.800 You go and you look,
00:12:24.540 what is wrong with these people?
00:12:26.900 Charlie
00:12:27.240 never advocated violence
00:12:29.100 against anybody.
00:12:30.880 Charlie
00:12:31.260 never,
00:12:32.560 you know,
00:12:33.360 raised a hand against anyone.
00:12:35.300 His whole thing was,
00:12:36.820 let's talk.
00:12:38.020 Let's talk.
00:12:39.860 And,
00:12:40.380 and,
00:12:41.620 an assassin
00:12:42.360 kills him.
00:12:43.640 And,
00:12:43.960 and we cannot think of this
00:12:45.460 as something that occurred
00:12:47.860 in a vacuum clay
00:12:49.120 or,
00:12:49.380 or you use the word aberrant
00:12:50.920 or that,
00:12:51.200 you know,
00:12:51.380 that this is something.
00:12:52.880 It was twice they tried
00:12:54.360 to kill Donald Trump.
00:12:55.580 These are all people
00:12:56.680 of the same ideology.
00:12:57.840 Twice they tried
00:12:58.660 to kill Donald Trump.
00:13:01.620 Now we've had people
00:13:02.760 shooting up,
00:13:04.080 we had the,
00:13:04.940 the shooting up
00:13:05.620 the church in Minneapolis
00:13:07.060 because of
00:13:08.040 radical trans ideology.
00:13:09.780 We had the Nashville
00:13:10.860 manifesto
00:13:11.980 hidden from us
00:13:12.960 because it was a
00:13:13.580 radical trans terrorist.
00:13:14.660 By the way,
00:13:15.020 I don't know what
00:13:15.920 the stated ideology
00:13:16.880 of this person is
00:13:17.500 other than
00:13:18.020 it's someone who hates
00:13:19.040 Trump,
00:13:19.400 hates Charlie,
00:13:20.280 is of the left
00:13:21.340 and therefore clay
00:13:22.640 is part of this,
00:13:23.840 this,
00:13:25.060 just rotten,
00:13:26.540 this,
00:13:26.760 this fetid
00:13:27.780 mass psychosis
00:13:30.500 that Democrats think
00:13:32.480 and they can say
00:13:33.200 and you can't just
00:13:33.980 run around saying
00:13:34.640 people are Nazis
00:13:35.320 all the time
00:13:35.980 because a lot of people
00:13:37.360 think that if you
00:13:37.840 could go back in time
00:13:38.600 and kill Nazis
00:13:39.220 that would be a good thing.
00:13:40.860 You can't just
00:13:41.420 keep doing this.
00:13:42.600 I went off on this
00:13:43.340 last night
00:13:43.860 and I was on with
00:13:45.500 our friend Sean Hannity
00:13:46.520 in the evening.
00:13:48.640 That to me
00:13:49.560 is the crux
00:13:50.580 of all of this.
00:13:51.640 There are consequences
00:13:52.780 when you say,
00:13:54.820 hey,
00:13:55.240 my political opponents
00:13:56.840 are Nazis.
00:13:58.300 Donald Trump
00:13:58.940 is Adolf Hitler.
00:14:00.200 They are fascists.
00:14:01.260 They're going to
00:14:01.700 overthrow the government.
00:14:03.260 There's not going to be
00:14:04.080 an election in 2028.
00:14:06.200 The guy who tried
00:14:07.060 to kill Trump
00:14:07.540 in West Palm Beach
00:14:08.340 said he was doing it
00:14:09.540 because he believed
00:14:10.360 Trump was Hitler.
00:14:11.060 If you truly believe
00:14:13.020 and some of these
00:14:14.100 crazy people do,
00:14:15.620 if you truly believe
00:14:17.180 that Trump is Hitler
00:14:18.100 or that you're Hitler
00:14:19.200 or that I'm Hitler
00:14:20.240 or that Charlie Kirk
00:14:21.320 is Hitler
00:14:21.700 or all of you out there
00:14:23.000 who voted for Trump
00:14:23.760 or Hitler,
00:14:24.460 then don't tell me
00:14:26.800 right after you kill
00:14:28.560 someone or attempt
00:14:29.600 to kill someone,
00:14:30.540 we condemn political
00:14:31.700 violence because
00:14:32.600 it's a lie.
00:14:34.140 Political violence
00:14:35.120 would be justified
00:14:36.340 if we were
00:14:37.680 Adolf Hitler
00:14:38.420 and in their brain
00:14:40.260 some of their
00:14:41.840 crazy,
00:14:42.700 deluded followers
00:14:43.880 are taking that charge
00:14:46.080 and they believe it
00:14:47.200 and they killed
00:14:47.920 Charlie Kirk over it,
00:14:49.220 I 100 billion percent
00:14:50.720 believe,
00:14:51.560 and they tried to kill
00:14:52.680 Donald Trump over it
00:14:53.920 and they would try
00:14:54.860 to kill you
00:14:55.600 and they would try
00:14:56.600 to kill me
00:14:57.320 and they would try
00:14:58.280 to kill anyone
00:14:59.140 that they believe
00:15:00.080 is Hitlerian
00:15:01.440 because they think
00:15:02.480 they're a hero
00:15:03.300 in their deluded
00:15:04.500 mental sphere.
00:15:05.780 If this,
00:15:06.740 Charlie was,
00:15:08.980 we knew Charlie
00:15:10.540 but he was also
00:15:11.600 on our team,
00:15:13.840 he was doing
00:15:14.580 what we do,
00:15:15.320 meaning Clay and I
00:15:16.500 and so many others do,
00:15:18.120 you know,
00:15:18.280 he was doing a podcast
00:15:19.400 and a radio show
00:15:20.360 and he was spreading
00:15:21.120 the truth,
00:15:22.860 the truth,
00:15:23.480 so they killed him,
00:15:25.600 he was killed,
00:15:26.400 an assassin's bullet
00:15:27.420 took his life
00:15:28.080 because he was speaking
00:15:29.360 the truth
00:15:30.580 and to Clay's point,
00:15:31.940 the same people
00:15:33.480 cheering for this
00:15:34.320 which is just monstrous
00:15:36.580 and I had to know
00:15:39.040 that it was true
00:15:40.160 before I could tell you
00:15:41.200 but that is happening.
00:15:42.440 A lot of people,
00:15:43.680 a lot of people
00:15:44.720 on the left,
00:15:45.960 the psychosis
00:15:47.580 of these people
00:15:48.420 is really troubling
00:15:50.500 for the future
00:15:51.000 of this country.
00:15:52.480 While people on the right
00:15:54.120 and people voted
00:15:54.720 for Trump
00:15:55.060 are grieving
00:15:55.540 and thinking about
00:15:56.120 Charlie's poor wife
00:15:56.900 and his kids
00:15:57.400 and people are crying
00:15:58.540 and I'm getting
00:15:58.940 text messages from people
00:16:00.480 I can't sleep at night
00:16:01.720 and all I can think about
00:16:02.520 is Charlie's wife
00:16:03.340 and his kids
00:16:03.840 and what have they
00:16:04.620 done to us
00:16:05.140 and then there are
00:16:06.700 Democrats who are acting
00:16:07.920 we can't ignore it
00:16:10.240 and we won't ignore it.
00:16:12.340 We'll come back,
00:16:13.100 we'll talk about this more
00:16:14.000 and we'd want to take
00:16:15.040 a lot of your,
00:16:15.680 I know a lot of you
00:16:16.320 want to weigh in
00:16:16.980 and speak to us about this.
00:16:18.200 You have things
00:16:18.720 to get off your chest.
00:16:19.660 You want to speak
00:16:20.140 from your heart about this
00:16:21.280 so please do call us
00:16:23.160 and let's all
00:16:25.880 discuss this together
00:16:27.080 as we always do.

00:16:31.600 Owling gold
00:16:32.260 has always been a privilege.
00:16:33.160 I've owned gold
00:16:33.680 for a long time
00:16:34.540 and it has been
00:16:35.880 a sound investment
00:16:36.840 whether it's a hedge
00:16:37.780 against inflation
00:16:38.420 or just for diversification
00:16:39.600 but Birch Gold Group
00:16:40.800 also believes
00:16:41.440 every American

00:17:38.120 More out of themselves,
00:17:39.180 their businesses,
00:17:40.120 their elected leaders,
00:17:41.080 and the world around them.
00:17:42.280 And that's why we're thrilled
00:17:43.260 to introduce
00:17:43.900 the Honest Talk Podcast.
00:17:46.000 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:17:47.200 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:17:48.460 And in this podcast,
00:17:49.560 we interview Canada's
00:17:50.560 most inspiring women.
00:17:51.820 entrepreneurs,
00:17:52.880 artists,
00:17:53.540 athletes,
00:17:54.160 politicians,
00:17:54.880 and newsmakers,
00:17:55.740 all at different stages
00:17:56.800 of their journey.
00:17:57.940 So if you're looking to connect,
00:17:59.760 then we hope you'll join us.
00:18:01.180 Listen to the Honest Talk Podcast
00:18:02.380 on iHeartRadio
00:18:03.540 or wherever you listen
00:18:04.520 to your podcasts.
00:18:05.240 A lot of us processing the grief,
00:18:09.880 feeling like we've woken up
00:18:11.160 in a somewhat different
00:18:12.400 and darker country today
00:18:14.960 because of this terrible act.
00:18:17.300 And we wanted to speak
00:18:18.960 with our friend,
00:18:20.300 Bill O'Reilly.
00:18:21.740 You know him.
00:18:22.420 He's a best-selling author.
00:18:23.620 He was on Fox for decades.
00:18:25.720 And Bill, honestly,
00:18:27.400 just wanted to give you
00:18:29.060 an opportunity.
00:18:30.060 We were in shock yesterday.
00:18:31.420 The news came down
00:18:32.180 while we were on the air
00:18:33.160 at the very end of the show.
00:18:34.840 So we didn't know
00:18:35.860 and we were all hoping
00:18:37.120 that the end result
00:18:39.400 would be quite different.
00:18:41.240 Just, I wanted to,
00:18:42.220 you've seen a lot
00:18:43.640 in your years
00:18:45.540 speaking the truth
00:18:47.100 to the people
00:18:47.600 about what's going on.
00:18:49.140 But this is a particularly
00:18:50.580 awful day.
00:18:53.300 And I wanted to let you
00:18:54.280 speak to everybody
00:18:54.940 about how you're feeling.
00:18:57.320 Okay.
00:18:57.980 Well, I'm going to tell
00:18:59.060 the audience
00:19:00.160 on the Clay and Buck show
00:19:01.340 the absolute truth.
00:19:03.160 This was evil.
00:19:05.220 And that word applies
00:19:08.280 not only to the assassination
00:19:09.960 of Mr. Kirk,
00:19:11.420 but what's happening
00:19:12.240 in general in this country.
00:19:14.120 So as you guys know,
00:19:15.640 on Tuesday,
00:19:17.040 my brand new book,
00:19:18.160 Confronting Evil,
00:19:18.840 was released.
00:19:20.380 And I woke up
00:19:21.960 on Wednesday
00:19:22.540 to see Putin
00:19:24.460 firing missiles
00:19:26.460 at Poland
00:19:27.320 in an unbelievably
00:19:28.860 dangerous situation.
00:19:30.320 and then a few hours
00:19:31.880 later,
00:19:32.280 Charlie Kirk
00:19:33.080 is shot to death
00:19:34.040 in Utah.
00:19:35.440 I did a lot of media
00:19:37.060 between those things
00:19:39.300 and now.
00:19:40.540 And one interviewer
00:19:42.480 said,
00:19:42.760 your book is haunting.
00:19:43.960 The timing of your book
00:19:45.260 is haunting.
00:19:46.720 Because I knew
00:19:48.080 that we are entering
00:19:50.160 a new age of evil.
00:19:53.260 And that's a point
00:19:54.160 I made on News Nation
00:19:55.240 on television last night,
00:19:56.540 1930s.
00:19:58.280 The world gravitated
00:20:00.060 toward evil
00:20:00.840 in an enormous way
00:20:02.680 that resulted in
00:20:04.060 100 million people
00:20:05.340 being killed
00:20:06.060 in World War II.
00:20:07.620 Now,
00:20:08.000 thanks to the United States,
00:20:09.220 we defeated evil.
00:20:11.100 And there were others
00:20:11.960 who helped us,
00:20:12.660 but we were
00:20:13.080 the primary motivator.
00:20:14.920 We're back now
00:20:16.240 in an age
00:20:17.900 where evil
00:20:18.540 is on the rise.
00:20:20.160 And evil
00:20:20.820 is what took
00:20:22.800 Charlie Kirk's
00:20:24.220 life.
00:20:26.060 So,
00:20:26.860 I find myself
00:20:27.900 in a very
00:20:28.500 interesting position
00:20:29.940 of having written
00:20:31.480 a book,
00:20:32.040 you know,
00:20:32.440 we start these
00:20:33.100 a year in advance,
00:20:34.720 predicting
00:20:35.240 that bad things
00:20:37.340 were going to occur,
00:20:38.620 and then see them
00:20:39.600 occur
00:20:40.160 at the very week
00:20:42.060 my book
00:20:42.480 is released.
00:20:44.260 And
00:20:44.680 the message
00:20:46.580 in Confronting Evil
00:20:48.100 is the reason
00:20:49.460 this is happening
00:20:50.300 is because
00:20:50.940 many Americans
00:20:52.320 and people
00:20:53.180 all over the world
00:20:53.980 are turning away.
00:20:57.440 So,
00:20:58.120 if you turn away
00:20:58.920 from evil,
00:20:59.900 you're going to get
00:21:00.620 more of it.
00:21:02.820 It is easier
00:21:04.080 for miscreants
00:21:05.520 to do
00:21:06.720 their horrible deeds
00:21:08.060 now
00:21:08.900 than ever before
00:21:10.640 in American history.
00:21:11.640 Do you guys
00:21:12.140 realize that?
00:21:13.560 It is easier
00:21:14.540 to kill
00:21:15.200 a fellow human being
00:21:16.960 in the United States
00:21:17.980 than ever
00:21:18.900 before
00:21:19.820 because of our
00:21:21.760 permissive
00:21:22.420 justice system
00:21:24.680 and our
00:21:25.860 progressive movement
00:21:27.140 that does not
00:21:28.240 want to
00:21:29.000 punish
00:21:30.380 criminals
00:21:31.220 and indeed
00:21:32.300 encourages
00:21:33.020 political violence.
00:21:35.020 There are members
00:21:35.660 of the progressive
00:21:36.260 movement,
00:21:37.180 and they are
00:21:38.040 centered on
00:21:38.660 MSNBC
00:21:39.580 and the urban
00:21:40.360 newspapers
00:21:40.900 who are
00:21:42.020 encouraging
00:21:42.860 political violence.
00:21:44.020 We saw that
00:21:44.440 yesterday.
00:21:45.380 Just one hour
00:21:46.360 after Charlie Kirk
00:21:47.580 was shot,
00:21:50.100 a man named
00:21:50.500 Matthew Dowd
00:21:51.240 went on MSNBC
00:21:52.220 and said,
00:21:52.720 you know,
00:21:52.900 it might have been
00:21:53.260 Kirk's fault
00:21:53.840 because of his
00:21:55.100 opinions.
00:21:56.280 Now,
00:21:56.680 he was fired
00:21:57.420 because MSNBC
00:21:58.340 had to fire him.
00:21:59.480 But is anybody
00:22:00.380 surprised?
00:22:01.960 Is anybody
00:22:02.920 surprised
00:22:03.860 that that was
00:22:04.960 said on MSNBC?
00:22:07.140 No.
00:22:08.820 Because it's
00:22:09.340 the cauldron
00:22:10.020 of hatred.
00:22:12.260 We'll play
00:22:13.060 some of that
00:22:13.480 audio for you
00:22:14.420 guys out there
00:22:15.360 because I do
00:22:16.520 think it's
00:22:16.820 important for
00:22:17.400 you to be
00:22:17.800 aware of
00:22:18.340 what was
00:22:18.780 said and
00:22:20.400 has been
00:22:20.840 said.
00:22:21.640 Bill O'Reilly
00:22:22.520 with us now.
00:22:24.820 What advice?
00:22:26.900 One of the
00:22:27.640 things,
00:22:27.940 obviously,
00:22:28.240 we're doing
00:22:28.880 on the show
00:22:29.560 today is a
00:22:30.600 form of
00:22:31.040 collective
00:22:31.480 healing and
00:22:32.240 mourning because
00:22:33.340 so many people
00:22:34.140 have been so
00:22:34.980 deeply impacted,
00:22:37.340 including us,
00:22:38.160 including you.
00:22:39.380 What should we
00:22:40.160 do?
00:22:40.820 Because there's
00:22:41.620 a lot of
00:22:41.920 people out
00:22:42.320 there,
00:22:42.560 in your
00:22:42.800 opinion,
00:22:43.440 what is the
00:22:43.980 constructive
00:22:44.580 path going
00:22:45.600 forward in
00:22:46.660 the wake of
00:22:47.400 Charlie Kirk's
00:22:48.120 assassination?
00:22:49.620 That's an
00:22:50.200 excellent question
00:22:50.940 you're asking.
00:22:53.140 So,
00:22:54.180 Mr. Kirk's
00:22:54.800 death, I
00:22:55.380 think, is
00:22:55.800 going to lead
00:22:56.380 to a
00:22:56.800 renaissance
00:22:57.600 of a
00:23:00.500 demand for
00:23:01.360 justice.
00:23:02.520 That's what I
00:23:03.180 believe is
00:23:03.700 going to
00:23:04.000 happen.
00:23:04.980 But in
00:23:05.900 order for
00:23:06.300 that to
00:23:06.620 happen,
00:23:07.420 you have
00:23:07.840 to understand
00:23:08.760 what is
00:23:09.520 happening in
00:23:10.340 this world
00:23:11.140 right now.
00:23:13.420 And that's
00:23:14.200 why I wrote
00:23:15.020 Confronting
00:23:15.440 Evil,
00:23:16.060 because most
00:23:16.640 people look
00:23:17.140 away, they
00:23:17.740 don't understand,
00:23:19.440 they don't
00:23:19.960 know what
00:23:20.360 happened.
00:23:21.180 Every one
00:23:21.900 of the 15
00:23:22.800 miscreants
00:23:23.560 profiled in
00:23:24.960 evil, my
00:23:25.480 book, is
00:23:26.520 relevant to
00:23:27.240 today, as
00:23:27.900 far back as
00:23:28.520 Caligula in
00:23:29.260 the Roman
00:23:29.580 Empire.
00:23:30.520 It's all
00:23:31.320 relevant to
00:23:32.040 today.
00:23:32.440 But this
00:23:33.900 is so
00:23:34.300 shocking, so
00:23:36.660 disconcerting, so
00:23:38.720 sad, the
00:23:40.300 assassination of
00:23:41.060 a 31-year-old
00:23:42.280 just exercising
00:23:43.600 its freedom of
00:23:44.840 speech with
00:23:45.760 two young
00:23:46.260 children and a
00:23:46.940 wife, that
00:23:48.440 everybody is
00:23:49.500 forced to
00:23:50.340 pay attention.
00:23:52.540 And now you
00:23:53.240 have to inform
00:23:54.020 yourself.
00:23:55.160 So you guys
00:23:55.800 might know that
00:23:57.220 earlier this week
00:23:58.420 on the launch of
00:23:59.380 Confronting Evil,
00:24:00.140 I made a
00:24:00.900 very bold
00:24:01.600 statement that
00:24:02.820 the progressives,
00:24:03.660 of course,
00:24:04.140 attacked.
00:24:05.220 My statement
00:24:06.120 was, if you
00:24:07.500 live in New
00:24:08.000 York City and
00:24:09.540 you vote for
00:24:10.240 Mandani, you
00:24:12.200 are committing
00:24:12.760 an act of
00:24:13.620 evil.
00:24:14.320 It doesn't
00:24:14.820 mean you're an
00:24:15.300 evil person.
00:24:16.980 It means that
00:24:17.900 vote is evil.
00:24:19.440 Because Mandani
00:24:20.600 has told you,
00:24:22.400 just like Hitler
00:24:23.300 did in the
00:24:24.480 1920s, I'm
00:24:26.400 not comparing
00:24:27.100 Hitler to
00:24:28.040 Mandani, but
00:24:28.740 it's the same
00:24:30.100 kind of
00:24:30.680 presentation of
00:24:32.080 what they
00:24:33.140 believe.
00:24:34.140 Mandani has
00:24:35.040 told you, he
00:24:36.500 does not want
00:24:37.920 to imprison
00:24:39.080 criminals.
00:24:41.500 He'll let out
00:24:42.780 as many as he
00:24:43.860 can.
00:24:44.920 Well, that is
00:24:45.680 going to lead
00:24:46.280 to more murder,
00:24:47.800 more rape,
00:24:49.200 more assault.
00:24:50.880 He's not
00:24:51.760 hiding it.
00:24:53.080 There's no
00:24:53.600 two sides to
00:24:54.540 it.
00:24:55.000 He's said it.
00:24:56.580 So you are
00:24:57.440 voting for
00:24:58.380 that if
00:24:59.700 you pull
00:25:00.200 the lever
00:25:00.740 for the
00:25:01.160 man.
00:25:02.620 And I'm
00:25:03.380 saying to
00:25:03.900 the American
00:25:04.300 public, you
00:25:05.320 have to stop
00:25:06.700 that.
00:25:08.360 You can't
00:25:09.700 enable these
00:25:11.080 people in
00:25:12.600 Charlotte where
00:25:13.780 the judge let
00:25:14.600 this guy out
00:25:15.580 knowing the
00:25:16.520 man was
00:25:17.080 violent,
00:25:18.560 knowing he
00:25:19.160 had beat up
00:25:19.800 his own
00:25:20.280 sister,
00:25:22.280 let him
00:25:22.940 out to do
00:25:24.280 what he did
00:25:24.900 to that
00:25:25.480 young woman
00:25:26.020 on the
00:25:26.360 bus.
00:25:27.760 Every
00:25:28.280 American has
00:25:29.140 got to
00:25:29.600 say, no,
00:25:31.920 we're not
00:25:32.420 voting for that.
00:25:33.200 Judge should
00:25:33.680 be removed.
00:25:34.800 The fact that
00:25:35.440 she isn't
00:25:36.060 removed, I
00:25:37.640 think she
00:25:38.040 will be.
00:25:38.840 What are you
00:25:39.320 doing in
00:25:40.240 North Carolina?
00:25:41.240 What are you
00:25:41.800 doing?
00:25:42.940 Same thing in
00:25:43.580 Chicago,
00:25:44.160 Southside,
00:25:44.640 20 years,
00:25:45.880 20 years of
00:25:46.900 drug gangs
00:25:47.580 mowing down
00:25:49.120 poor black
00:25:49.860 citizens.
00:25:50.320 and you
00:25:51.860 object to
00:25:52.920 a layer of
00:25:53.660 protection
00:25:54.240 offered by
00:25:55.200 the federal
00:25:55.600 government to
00:25:56.540 stop it or
00:25:57.380 at least
00:25:57.820 mitigate it?
00:25:59.040 You object
00:25:59.680 to that?
00:26:01.560 What the
00:26:02.360 deuce is going
00:26:03.080 on?
00:26:03.820 So Americans
00:26:04.460 have got to
00:26:05.040 get as angry
00:26:05.860 as you
00:26:07.400 guys,
00:26:07.940 as me,
00:26:09.280 in order to
00:26:09.980 make Charlie
00:26:10.800 Kirk's death
00:26:12.600 a legacy
00:26:13.880 play.
00:26:15.660 So when
00:26:16.580 people die
00:26:18.000 in this
00:26:18.600 violent
00:26:19.040 manner,
00:26:19.620 if something
00:26:21.280 good can
00:26:22.040 emerge that
00:26:22.920 prevents
00:26:23.480 future
00:26:24.540 deaths,
00:26:25.700 that is
00:26:26.180 very
00:26:26.700 important.
00:26:28.560 Bill,
00:26:29.220 can I
00:26:29.620 ask you,
00:26:31.860 I don't
00:26:33.680 think you're
00:26:34.060 on Blue
00:26:34.420 Sky.
00:26:35.080 I felt
00:26:36.400 obligated
00:26:37.500 because I
00:26:38.160 was going
00:26:38.360 to talk
00:26:38.640 about this
00:26:39.020 because I
00:26:39.320 saw people
00:26:39.840 saying,
00:26:40.800 you will
00:26:41.000 not believe
00:26:41.920 how much
00:26:43.440 vile and
00:26:45.740 just disgraceful
00:26:47.240 celebration was
00:26:48.840 going on
00:26:49.380 on this
00:26:49.660 website,
00:26:50.240 which is
00:26:50.480 the left
00:26:51.500 wing lunatic
00:26:52.160 version of
00:26:52.840 X because
00:26:53.400 they can't
00:26:54.420 control X
00:26:55.320 anymore because
00:26:55.900 of Elon.
00:26:56.760 So there's
00:26:57.080 this whole
00:26:57.460 place you
00:26:57.880 just go.
00:26:58.640 And Bill,
00:26:59.480 I was going
00:26:59.860 through it
00:27:00.240 last night.
00:27:01.500 Do you
00:27:01.800 think,
00:27:02.180 and it was
00:27:02.940 as bad as
00:27:03.440 everybody was
00:27:03.960 saying,
00:27:04.460 I can tell
00:27:05.300 everybody,
00:27:06.240 it's horrific.
00:27:08.280 Do you
00:27:08.640 think that
00:27:09.020 there is
00:27:09.300 any sense
00:27:10.060 from some
00:27:11.360 of the
00:27:11.740 Democrats
00:27:12.160 who matter,
00:27:13.760 some of the
00:27:14.360 Democrats who
00:27:15.000 have power
00:27:15.640 within their
00:27:16.320 party that
00:27:18.100 there is
00:27:19.400 something
00:27:19.820 deeply,
00:27:21.800 spiritually,
00:27:22.960 psychologically
00:27:23.600 wrong with
00:27:24.960 the base of
00:27:25.620 their party?
00:27:26.360 I mean,
00:27:26.500 do you get
00:27:26.980 that sense
00:27:27.520 that there's
00:27:27.840 any accountability
00:27:29.240 from within
00:27:30.560 their side,
00:27:31.400 or is this
00:27:31.880 just going to
00:27:32.240 be a both
00:27:32.740 sides-ism and
00:27:33.740 some people
00:27:34.800 are going to
00:27:35.300 celebrate it
00:27:35.820 on their team
00:27:36.400 and other
00:27:36.700 people are
00:27:37.120 going to
00:27:37.480 ignore it?
00:27:38.020 How do
00:27:38.320 you see
00:27:38.820 that where
00:27:39.300 we are
00:27:39.640 right now?
00:27:40.180 Only the
00:27:42.060 mentally ill
00:27:42.840 would celebrate
00:27:43.620 the assassination
00:27:44.440 of Charlie
00:27:45.640 Kirk.
00:27:47.500 So these
00:27:48.300 people who
00:27:48.700 are doing
00:27:49.080 that are
00:27:49.640 mentally ill.
00:27:51.600 Whether
00:27:52.080 they're a
00:27:52.440 danger to
00:27:52.920 society,
00:27:53.560 I don't
00:27:53.820 know.
00:27:55.280 But that's
00:27:55.820 the classification
00:27:56.620 100% of
00:27:57.780 them fall
00:27:58.220 into.
00:27:59.060 There's no
00:27:59.600 excuse for
00:28:00.260 that.
00:28:01.420 Now,
00:28:01.820 on the
00:28:02.240 Democratic
00:28:02.620 Party front,
00:28:03.520 you are
00:28:03.760 seeing today
00:28:05.240 a total
00:28:07.580 retreat
00:28:08.560 from
00:28:10.480 Trump as
00:28:11.320 Hitler,
00:28:12.780 from
00:28:13.300 MAGA
00:28:14.620 or
00:28:15.140 horrible
00:28:15.880 human
00:28:16.380 beings.
00:28:17.240 You're
00:28:17.520 seeing
00:28:17.740 100%
00:28:18.680 retreat.
00:28:20.040 Because if
00:28:20.800 you are
00:28:21.460 on the
00:28:21.840 hill or
00:28:22.360 in a
00:28:22.780 state
00:28:23.060 office,
00:28:23.900 you are
00:28:24.320 not going
00:28:24.660 to be
00:28:24.820 able to
00:28:25.100 survive
00:28:25.580 by peddling
00:28:27.660 hate in
00:28:28.580 the wake
00:28:29.520 of Charlie
00:28:30.200 Kirk's
00:28:31.320 assassination.
00:28:32.120 You will
00:28:32.340 not be
00:28:32.580 able to
00:28:32.840 survive it.
00:28:34.020 Okay?
00:28:34.480 They all
00:28:34.980 know that.
00:28:36.220 I mean,
00:28:36.480 the view
00:28:36.740 today came
00:28:37.340 on,
00:28:38.020 and this
00:28:38.340 is a
00:28:38.540 very
00:28:38.760 good
00:28:38.940 example
00:28:39.280 because
00:28:39.480 everybody
00:28:39.780 knows what
00:28:40.260 the view
00:28:40.560 is.
00:28:41.780 All right?
00:28:42.100 And these
00:28:42.460 are radical
00:28:43.080 left women.
00:28:44.720 These are
00:28:45.120 not thinkers.
00:28:46.260 These are
00:28:46.720 people who
00:28:47.600 are in
00:28:48.060 business to
00:28:49.620 make the
00:28:50.960 other side
00:28:51.860 suffer.
00:28:53.560 All of
00:28:54.200 them were
00:28:54.860 lamenting the
00:28:55.940 death of
00:28:56.500 Charlie Kirk.
00:28:57.320 Predictable.
00:28:57.940 Disney would
00:28:58.900 not tolerate it,
00:28:59.880 and they saw
00:29:00.520 what happened
00:29:00.940 to Matthew
00:29:01.360 Dowd at
00:29:01.940 MSNBC.
00:29:03.400 But was
00:29:03.960 Charlie Kirk
00:29:04.640 ever invited
00:29:05.220 on the
00:29:05.560 program?
00:29:05.900 No.
00:29:09.220 Okay?
00:29:09.840 No, we've
00:29:10.360 talked about
00:29:11.280 this, Bill.
00:29:12.780 It's one of
00:29:13.460 the things that
00:29:14.320 I think Charlie
00:29:15.000 did so well,
00:29:16.080 Bill, and
00:29:16.780 this is something
00:29:17.500 that I spend
00:29:18.020 an inordinate
00:29:18.520 amount of
00:29:18.940 time thinking
00:29:19.380 about, is
00:29:19.880 how do you
00:29:20.960 cut through
00:29:21.520 the noise
00:29:22.100 to make
00:29:22.620 people hear
00:29:23.540 arguments that
00:29:25.440 are good
00:29:26.060 and sound
00:29:27.160 that they
00:29:28.600 otherwise would
00:29:29.600 not have been
00:29:30.280 exposed to?
00:29:31.100 Because this is
00:29:31.620 one of the
00:29:31.980 downsides in a
00:29:32.800 huge way, I
00:29:33.480 think, of
00:29:33.800 the algorithmic
00:29:34.840 culture we
00:29:35.580 have built.
00:29:36.580 They only
00:29:37.220 feed you
00:29:37.940 things that
00:29:38.700 they know
00:29:39.220 you already
00:29:40.040 like.
00:29:40.900 So it
00:29:41.380 puts people
00:29:42.240 into the
00:29:43.640 atmosphere,
00:29:45.560 into the
00:29:45.960 zeitgeist,
00:29:46.660 only for
00:29:47.520 things that
00:29:48.080 they've already
00:29:48.560 experienced.
00:29:49.040 This is my
00:29:49.380 old man take,
00:29:50.580 Bill, I bet
00:29:51.020 you'll agree
00:29:51.400 with this.
00:29:52.140 The reason I
00:29:52.820 love reading
00:29:53.640 print newspapers
00:29:54.640 is because I
00:29:55.780 come across
00:29:56.440 stories that I
00:29:57.360 otherwise would
00:29:58.140 have never
00:29:58.560 seen because
00:29:59.260 the algorithm
00:30:00.080 wouldn't have
00:30:00.860 known that I
00:30:01.980 might be
00:30:02.440 interested in
00:30:03.140 that.
00:30:03.480 And that
00:30:03.980 hopefully opens
00:30:04.880 my mind and
00:30:05.700 makes me better
00:30:06.440 at analyzing
00:30:07.200 arguments and
00:30:08.380 stories than I
00:30:09.540 otherwise would
00:30:10.360 be.
00:30:11.140 How do you
00:30:11.640 cut through?
00:30:12.120 Because your
00:30:12.400 point there,
00:30:13.240 they wouldn't
00:30:13.820 have him on
00:30:14.780 the view because
00:30:16.000 his arguments
00:30:16.880 are too good.
00:30:18.380 And because
00:30:18.760 some people
00:30:19.560 sitting in that
00:30:20.160 audience might
00:30:20.760 have said,
00:30:21.060 wait a minute,
00:30:21.620 I've heard that
00:30:22.260 this Charlie
00:30:22.760 Kirk guy is a
00:30:23.520 Nazi.
00:30:24.000 I've heard he's
00:30:24.540 Hitler.
00:30:25.360 But he's
00:30:25.660 actually a
00:30:26.120 pretty reasonable
00:30:26.740 dad.
00:30:27.780 And some of
00:30:28.280 his takes,
00:30:28.700 I might not
00:30:29.040 agree with them
00:30:29.560 all, you
00:30:29.960 shouldn't
00:30:30.220 necessarily agree
00:30:30.900 with everything
00:30:31.420 anybody says
00:30:32.260 entirely.
00:30:33.420 Some of
00:30:35.580 his takes,
00:30:36.040 they might
00:30:36.380 have opened
00:30:36.760 the window
00:30:37.260 too.
00:30:37.920 And that's
00:30:38.460 what was
00:30:38.840 happening on
00:30:39.480 social media.
00:30:40.160 And that's
00:30:40.560 why they
00:30:40.800 killed him.
00:30:41.260 the corporations,
00:30:44.880 Disney,
00:30:45.420 Comcast,
00:30:46.280 CBS,
00:30:47.460 are partially
00:30:48.660 responsible for
00:30:50.900 the rise in
00:30:52.320 hatred in this
00:30:53.340 country.
00:30:53.760 I'm not going
00:30:54.060 to say the
00:30:54.480 rise in evil,
00:30:56.600 but the rise in
00:30:57.620 hatred which feeds
00:30:58.640 right into evil.
00:30:59.600 And then evil
00:31:00.480 feeds into
00:31:01.080 violence.
00:31:02.960 The corporations
00:31:03.720 make money
00:31:04.480 allowing people
00:31:06.340 like Joy Behar
00:31:07.340 and the
00:31:08.180 others to
00:31:09.140 peddle hate.
00:31:10.580 Yeah.
00:31:10.800 Okay?
00:31:11.380 They make
00:31:12.560 money from
00:31:13.620 Colbert,
00:31:14.700 although they
00:31:15.220 say they lose
00:31:15.860 money.
00:31:16.240 Why was he on
00:31:16.960 for so long?
00:31:17.880 That's all he
00:31:18.520 did.
00:31:19.600 Now, that is
00:31:20.620 going to cease
00:31:21.280 for a while.
00:31:22.960 And my book
00:31:23.860 is a perfect
00:31:25.400 example of if
00:31:26.380 you want to
00:31:26.900 inform yourself
00:31:27.780 about evil,
00:31:28.560 if you really
00:31:29.160 want to know
00:31:29.660 what it is,
00:31:31.960 you read this
00:31:32.660 book.
00:31:32.900 And then
00:31:33.540 you will
00:31:33.880 know.
00:31:34.680 And then
00:31:35.300 hopefully you
00:31:37.960 yourself will
00:31:38.800 start to combat
00:31:39.480 it in your
00:31:40.080 own neighborhood,
00:31:41.140 in your own
00:31:41.720 family, in
00:31:42.520 your own
00:31:42.860 state, because
00:31:43.780 that's what it
00:31:44.600 will take, a
00:31:46.540 shift in the
00:31:47.680 culture, the
00:31:48.920 American culture.
00:31:51.400 You know, I'm
00:31:51.820 going to, I was
00:31:52.700 invited by
00:31:53.200 President Trump
00:31:53.880 to Yankee
00:31:54.560 Stadium tonight.
00:31:56.420 There's a
00:31:57.040 reason that he
00:31:58.540 invited me.
00:31:59.400 This isn't a
00:31:59.940 social thing.
00:32:01.160 I think it's
00:32:01.840 about Putin,
00:32:02.420 but I'm not
00:32:03.080 quite sure, but
00:32:04.480 you guys know
00:32:05.640 that I have a
00:32:06.160 pretty, let's
00:32:08.160 say, respectful
00:32:09.140 relationship with
00:32:10.160 Mr. Trump.
00:32:12.520 I know I'm
00:32:13.560 going to be
00:32:14.020 talking about
00:32:14.660 this culture
00:32:15.220 situation, because
00:32:16.140 he brought it
00:32:16.700 up yesterday in
00:32:17.740 his overall
00:32:18.420 office reaction
00:32:20.000 to Charlie
00:32:20.540 Kirk.
00:32:21.500 And I'm going
00:32:22.340 to hand him
00:32:22.880 the book.
00:32:23.440 I'm going to
00:32:23.760 say, listen,
00:32:24.840 you cannot
00:32:26.540 look away
00:32:28.040 from evil.
00:32:30.360 You've got to
00:32:31.060 deal with Putin,
00:32:31.620 you've got to
00:32:31.880 deal with him
00:32:32.220 now.
00:32:33.080 You've got to
00:32:33.700 deal with the
00:32:34.140 jihad, Iran,
00:32:35.120 you already
00:32:35.560 did.
00:32:36.340 You already
00:32:37.020 know that
00:32:37.520 evil.
00:32:38.440 You neutralize
00:32:39.580 them.
00:32:40.880 And now you
00:32:41.960 have to turn
00:32:42.440 your attention
00:32:42.920 to American
00:32:43.500 culture, to
00:32:45.060 call these
00:32:45.540 people out.
00:32:46.800 Enough's
00:32:47.220 enough.
00:32:48.180 I've had it,
00:32:49.040 you guys have
00:32:49.720 had it, and
00:32:50.740 Charlie Kirk is
00:32:51.460 dead because of
00:32:52.380 it.
00:32:53.600 An evil
00:32:54.560 person killed
00:32:56.200 him.
00:32:56.480 And we
00:32:58.040 are looking
00:32:58.660 away from
00:32:59.900 evil.
00:33:01.280 That's it.
00:33:03.560 Bill O'Reilly,
00:33:04.900 Confronting Evil
00:33:05.480 is the book.
00:33:06.580 Bill,
00:33:07.060 appreciate you
00:33:07.800 as always,
00:33:08.360 sir, for the
00:33:08.840 clarity and
00:33:09.920 what you stand
00:33:11.060 for here now
00:33:12.120 and always.
00:33:12.820 So thank you
00:33:13.200 for being with
00:33:13.680 us.
00:33:14.980 Thanks for
00:33:15.580 having me,
00:33:15.880 guys.
00:33:16.080 We know
00:33:17.860 evil does
00:33:18.340 exist in
00:33:18.780 this world,
00:33:19.580 and we
00:33:20.380 have to do
00:33:20.780 what we can
00:33:21.220 to stand
00:33:21.560 against it
00:33:21.980 in every
00:33:22.220 way that
00:33:22.500 we can.
00:33:23.720 You want
00:33:24.040 to make
00:33:24.220 sure that
00:33:24.560 you also
00:33:24.960 are able
00:33:25.280 to defend
00:33:25.660 yourself when
00:33:26.620 you can,
00:33:27.000 how you
00:33:27.340 can.
00:33:28.040 And this
00:33:28.300 is where
00:33:28.640 Sabre comes
00:33:29.920 into the
00:33:30.820 picture.
00:33:31.340 Sabre's
00:33:31.780 pepper sprays,
00:33:32.540 pepper gels,
00:33:33.620 projectile devices,
00:33:34.440 all made here
00:33:35.020 in the USA.
00:33:35.500 Look, I was
00:33:36.160 talking to my
00:33:36.840 wife last night
00:33:37.560 about home
00:33:38.880 defense, home
00:33:39.380 protection, and
00:33:40.540 we have Sabre
00:33:41.240 non-lethal
00:33:41.940 here.
00:33:42.340 We have a lot
00:33:42.760 of lethal
00:33:43.060 stuff here,
00:33:43.600 too, but we
00:33:43.920 have Sabre
00:33:44.340 non-lethal
00:33:44.900 because I
00:33:45.560 can trust
00:33:45.940 them.
00:33:46.440 Carrie's
00:33:46.700 comfortable
00:33:47.000 with it.
00:33:47.940 You have
00:33:48.280 to take
00:33:48.660 your defense
00:33:49.300 into your
00:33:49.640 own hands.
00:33:50.100 There's just
00:33:50.440 evil out
00:33:50.980 there.
00:33:51.240 You know
00:33:51.580 it.
00:33:51.820 We know
00:33:52.180 it.
00:33:52.440 All of
00:33:52.760 us are
00:33:53.560 aware.

00:34:06.800 Clay's
00:34:07.020 got one,

00:34:08.640 able to
00:34:08.920 defend
00:34:09.180 yourself is
00:34:09.620 critical.

00:34:36.640 Show.
00:34:37.220 There is a
00:34:37.820 press conference
00:34:38.640 that is coming
00:34:39.520 soon that we
00:34:40.620 will take
00:34:41.040 live.
00:34:41.580 We are going
00:34:41.980 to be joined
00:34:42.380 by Senator
00:34:42.920 Bill Haggerty
00:34:43.540 here in a
00:34:43.940 moment,
00:34:44.220 but I wanted
00:34:44.600 you to be
00:34:44.900 able to hear
00:34:45.340 that last
00:34:45.860 caller talking
00:34:47.320 about the
00:34:47.660 impact that
00:34:48.180 Charlie Kirk
00:34:48.680 had had on
00:34:49.300 her teenager.
00:34:51.140 And I also
00:34:52.100 want to tell
00:34:52.540 you,
00:34:52.800 look,
00:34:53.240 there's probably
00:34:54.420 a lot of
00:34:54.800 you that are
00:34:55.120 going to be
00:34:55.360 looking for
00:34:55.920 something that
00:34:57.040 is not
00:34:58.220 serious.
00:34:59.220 And I'm
00:35:00.780 one of them.
00:35:01.360 I'm going to
00:35:01.600 be going to
00:35:02.380 a ninth grade
00:35:03.700 football game
00:35:04.300 this afternoon,
00:35:04.880 and then I'm
00:35:05.340 headed to
00:35:05.940 Knoxville to
00:35:06.500 go watch
00:35:06.860 Tennessee play
00:35:07.440 Georgia.
00:35:08.300 And a lot
00:35:09.020 of you want
00:35:09.340 to play along
00:35:09.860 with prize
00:35:10.340 picks.
00:35:10.740 I give you a
00:35:11.180 pick every
00:35:11.580 Thursday.
00:35:12.160 I'm going to
00:35:12.400 give it to
00:35:12.720 you right now.
00:35:13.400 Travis Kelsey,
00:35:14.580 more than one
00:35:15.380 half receiving
00:35:16.000 yards,
00:35:16.480 a free square.
00:35:17.260 Nobody can
00:35:17.660 lose this one,
00:35:18.260 not even Buck.
00:35:18.840 Derek Henry,
00:35:20.220 more than one
00:35:20.980 half rushing and
00:35:21.920 receiving touchdown
00:35:22.860 and Jaden
00:35:23.820 Daniels,
00:35:24.480 more than one
00:35:25.080 half touchdown
00:35:25.780 pass up at
00:35:27.040 clayandbuck.com.

00:35:29.260 Thursday for
00:35:30.360 NFL action.
00:35:31.640 We've been
00:35:32.240 doing this for a
00:35:32.740 few years.
00:35:33.280 That pays out
00:35:33.960 at five to
00:35:34.480 one.
00:35:34.780 You get 50
00:35:35.300 bucks when you
00:35:36.160 go to

00:35:38.180 clay.
00:35:38.580 That's
00:35:38.740 prizepicks.com.
00:35:39.640 Code
00:35:39.800 clay.
00:35:40.400 Senator Bill
00:35:40.980 Haggerty with
00:35:41.940 us right now.
00:35:43.280 Senator,
00:35:44.000 I know you
00:35:44.740 pretty well.
00:35:45.820 I know you've
00:35:46.700 got, I think,
00:35:48.000 four kids and
00:35:49.000 I bet your
00:35:49.680 sons in
00:35:50.460 particular have
00:35:51.340 been influenced
00:35:52.380 and impacted in
00:35:53.200 a significant way
00:35:54.020 by Charlie Kirk
00:35:54.880 like mine have.
00:35:56.020 In fact, our
00:35:56.460 kids have gone
00:35:57.580 to one of the
00:35:58.160 same schools.
00:35:58.840 I don't know if
00:35:59.240 you know this,
00:35:59.940 Senator, but the
00:36:01.340 kids at our
00:36:02.700 kids mutual school
00:36:03.880 all wore jackets
00:36:05.820 and ties, which
00:36:06.760 they are not fond
00:36:07.720 of doing in
00:36:09.060 honor of Charlie
00:36:10.120 Kirk today.
00:36:10.780 Basically, the
00:36:11.680 entire school.
00:36:13.360 What was your
00:36:13.920 reaction when you
00:36:14.700 saw and heard
00:36:15.380 what had
00:36:15.740 happened?
00:36:16.300 What should
00:36:16.560 happen next?
00:36:18.100 Well, I've
00:36:19.820 known Charlie
00:36:20.320 for years.
00:36:22.020 I wasn't close
00:36:23.040 with Charlie to
00:36:23.940 the extent, you
00:36:24.620 know, never took
00:36:25.420 a vacation or
00:36:26.100 something like
00:36:26.540 that.
00:36:26.800 When we'd see
00:36:27.240 one another in
00:36:27.760 a room, we'd
00:36:28.220 always make our
00:36:28.780 way across to
00:36:29.500 shake hands.
00:36:30.560 How are you
00:36:31.200 doing?
00:36:31.640 I was thinking
00:36:32.360 the last time I
00:36:33.040 saw Charlie was
00:36:33.740 at Mar-a-Lago
00:36:34.440 not too long
00:36:35.820 ago.
00:36:37.460 But it just,
00:36:38.960 you know, as a
00:36:39.560 parent, it just
00:36:40.500 strikes deep.
00:36:41.340 Not only the
00:36:41.840 influence on my
00:36:42.640 sons, and I
00:36:44.240 tell you, my
00:36:44.680 sons share
00:36:45.380 something with
00:36:46.940 Charlie as
00:36:48.200 well.
00:36:48.580 My boys are
00:36:49.120 both Eagle
00:36:49.540 Scouts, as
00:36:50.140 am I.
00:36:50.560 So was
00:36:50.860 Charlie, was
00:36:51.980 an Eagle
00:36:52.240 Scout.
00:36:53.500 And Charlie's a
00:36:54.440 little bit older
00:36:54.880 than my sons,
00:36:55.780 but, you know, I
00:36:57.140 have a very
00:36:57.660 parental view of
00:36:59.320 young people like
00:37:00.040 Charlie who are
00:37:00.600 willing to enter
00:37:01.120 the fray, to be
00:37:02.660 the man in the
00:37:03.260 arena, so to
00:37:03.900 speak, and to
00:37:05.320 step up and
00:37:06.140 engage and debate
00:37:07.200 and basically
00:37:08.540 bring out what's
00:37:09.340 best in America.
00:37:10.040 That's the freedom
00:37:10.800 of speech that we
00:37:11.460 have that no
00:37:12.000 other nation
00:37:12.500 enjoys.
00:37:13.560 And to see that
00:37:14.460 curtailed in such a
00:37:15.400 tragic way is
00:37:16.180 heartbreaking to me.
00:37:17.300 It's just
00:37:17.720 heartbreaking, Clay.
00:37:19.640 Senator Haggerty,
00:37:20.700 appreciate you being
00:37:21.560 here, and it's a
00:37:22.960 tough day for the
00:37:25.180 whole country.
00:37:26.000 We were prepared to
00:37:26.880 have a remembrance
00:37:27.720 of 9-11, and
00:37:30.440 then this terrible
00:37:31.800 incident became
00:37:33.200 something that
00:37:33.900 so many of us
00:37:36.760 couldn't sleep
00:37:37.240 well last night
00:37:38.260 thinking about it,
00:37:39.100 the grief that
00:37:39.640 has spread across
00:37:40.200 the country.
00:37:41.520 What would you
00:37:42.260 say to everybody
00:37:42.900 right now,
00:37:43.580 especially to a
00:37:44.260 lot of, I mean,
00:37:44.840 you have young
00:37:45.820 boys yourself, to
00:37:47.920 the parents out
00:37:48.600 there who are
00:37:49.020 worried about how
00:37:49.820 this is going to
00:37:50.400 affect their
00:37:51.480 sons and daughters
00:37:52.540 who looked up to
00:37:53.260 Charlie?
00:37:54.840 Well, I don't
00:37:56.260 think this should
00:37:56.880 impact the degree
00:37:57.900 to which they look
00:37:58.560 up to Charlie at
00:37:59.360 all.
00:38:00.380 In fact, I think
00:38:01.400 this is going to
00:38:02.460 raise the respect
00:38:04.200 for Charlie and
00:38:05.100 raise the attention
00:38:06.040 level in a way
00:38:07.420 that is well
00:38:07.920 deserved but sad
00:38:08.940 at the same time.
00:38:11.220 Charlie certainly
00:38:12.040 didn't aim to be a
00:38:12.840 martyr, but he
00:38:14.560 has been pushing
00:38:15.220 for a cause that's
00:38:16.040 been vitally
00:38:16.500 important to him.
00:38:17.240 I think it's
00:38:17.520 vitally important
00:38:18.160 to our nation.
00:38:19.700 And his willingness
00:38:20.560 to engage, to
00:38:21.540 debate, and to
00:38:22.740 clarify for young
00:38:23.480 people so they
00:38:24.020 could actually see
00:38:24.680 the truth and
00:38:25.180 cut through the
00:38:25.800 noise that you
00:38:26.400 spent time.
00:38:27.520 Clay, Buck, you
00:38:28.200 both spent time
00:38:28.960 cutting through the
00:38:29.900 noise in the
00:38:30.340 mainstream media,
00:38:31.520 the obvious
00:38:32.360 provocation that
00:38:32.800 takes place, the
00:38:33.400 politicization that
00:38:34.320 takes place in the
00:38:35.680 media, the silencing
00:38:36.560 that takes place.
00:38:38.820 Charlie was a
00:38:40.500 beacon when it
00:38:41.480 comes to standing
00:38:42.240 up and bringing
00:38:43.880 the truth to light
00:38:44.780 and enabling a
00:38:46.520 real discussion
00:38:47.600 about issues
00:38:48.560 rather than just
00:38:49.260 spin, spin, spin
00:38:50.140 all day long.
00:38:51.320 Charlie was willing
00:38:52.100 to engage.
00:38:52.800 He was willing to
00:38:53.200 listen to different
00:38:53.760 opinions.
00:38:54.660 He was willing to
00:38:55.720 argue in public
00:38:58.020 in a respectful
00:38:58.800 manner.
00:38:59.900 This is the way
00:39:00.820 our forefathers,
00:39:02.000 our founding
00:39:02.320 fathers designed
00:39:03.140 this nation, to
00:39:04.680 respect and support
00:39:05.600 just that type of
00:39:06.480 interaction.
00:39:07.780 And what happened
00:39:09.000 was an act of
00:39:10.300 cowardice, first
00:39:11.740 and foremost.
00:39:12.720 Only a total
00:39:13.540 coward would do
00:39:14.200 something like that.
00:39:15.300 And someone with
00:39:15.940 such a narrow mind
00:39:16.860 that they think the
00:39:18.220 only way to address
00:39:19.220 a difference of
00:39:20.160 opinion is to
00:39:21.320 shut the other
00:39:21.780 side down.
00:39:22.400 It's a manifestation
00:39:23.120 of what's gone so
00:39:25.600 deeply wrong with
00:39:27.480 the whole cancel
00:39:28.140 culture here in
00:39:28.860 America and
00:39:30.260 anyone, and I'm
00:39:32.100 sad to say it,
00:39:33.300 but there are
00:39:34.000 people that are
00:39:34.900 actually trying to
00:39:36.360 justify this or in
00:39:37.900 some way even
00:39:38.420 celebrating this.
00:39:39.440 That dehumanizes
00:39:40.720 not only those of
00:39:43.200 us that care, that
00:39:43.960 have heavy feelings,
00:39:45.200 it dehumanizes the
00:39:46.260 person that could
00:39:46.780 possibly think that
00:39:47.640 way.
00:39:48.480 And we need to
00:39:49.420 get back to the
00:39:50.440 basics here in
00:39:51.340 America.
00:39:51.700 We need to get
00:39:52.100 back to fundamental
00:39:52.820 respect.
00:39:54.220 And again, it's
00:39:55.300 heartbreaking to see
00:39:56.080 what has happened,
00:39:58.440 I should say,
00:39:58.900 with Charlie's
00:39:59.400 loss.
00:40:00.000 But I hope that
00:40:00.800 it'll be a chance
00:40:01.440 for America to
00:40:02.120 wake up, for our
00:40:03.040 young people to
00:40:03.540 wake up and say
00:40:04.140 this young man
00:40:04.800 stood for something
00:40:06.580 quite important.
00:40:07.740 And I think he's
00:40:08.200 going to live on
00:40:08.660 in our memories
00:40:09.140 for years and
00:40:10.080 decades to come.
00:40:11.200 We're talking to
00:40:11.940 Senator Bill
00:40:12.340 Haggerty of
00:40:12.860 Tennessee.
00:40:14.260 This is happening
00:40:15.020 all over the
00:40:15.580 country, sadly, but
00:40:17.080 it happened where
00:40:17.900 you and I happen to
00:40:19.080 both live in
00:40:20.140 Tennessee, a
00:40:21.500 middle Tennessee
00:40:22.340 state university
00:40:23.640 dean.
00:40:24.600 And I know
00:40:25.940 there's a lot
00:40:26.400 of different
00:40:26.800 deans, a
00:40:27.420 student-affiliated
00:40:28.640 dean, celebrated
00:40:30.300 the death of
00:40:31.700 Charlie Kirk.
00:40:33.260 MTSU, the
00:40:34.000 college, has
00:40:35.120 terminated that
00:40:36.820 person.
00:40:37.680 And they are no
00:40:38.340 longer employed by
00:40:39.280 the university.
00:40:40.780 But sadly, Buck
00:40:41.920 and I have been
00:40:42.280 talking about this,
00:40:43.100 Senator.
00:40:44.080 It's one thing to
00:40:45.060 disagree politically.
00:40:46.360 It's entirely a
00:40:47.380 different thing when
00:40:48.360 someone is
00:40:48.960 assassinated to
00:40:50.080 celebrate the
00:40:51.140 assassination, which
00:40:52.260 we are seeing take
00:40:53.160 place all over the
00:40:54.060 place, including
00:40:54.800 sometimes at
00:40:56.060 public universities.
00:40:58.040 How do we
00:40:58.880 restore the soul
00:41:00.240 of the nation?
00:41:01.420 It's a big
00:41:01.860 question.
00:41:03.020 It is a big
00:41:03.540 question.
00:41:03.680 But I'm incredibly
00:41:04.660 troubled.
00:41:05.220 Buck is, too.
00:41:08.100 It's indefensible,
00:41:09.660 the reactions we
00:41:10.640 are seeing.
00:41:11.360 What should happen?
00:41:12.260 What can we do to
00:41:13.140 restore that soul?
00:41:14.720 Well, the
00:41:15.060 particular incident
00:41:15.680 that you're
00:41:16.040 describing was
00:41:17.200 extraordinarily
00:41:18.340 disturbing to me,
00:41:19.360 and I know it was
00:41:19.840 to you and
00:41:20.140 everybody else.
00:41:21.400 Middle Tennessee
00:41:21.800 State University
00:41:22.520 is, by
00:41:23.300 population, by
00:41:24.520 student population,
00:41:25.440 the largest
00:41:26.160 university in the
00:41:26.980 state of Tennessee,
00:41:27.660 a state with over
00:41:29.040 7 million people.
00:41:30.720 MTSU is our
00:41:31.540 largest college.
00:41:35.900 And to have the,
00:41:36.680 I think it was the
00:41:37.180 assistant dean of
00:41:38.300 student services or
00:41:39.760 dean of students,
00:41:41.000 make a statement that
00:41:42.000 in any way, in any
00:41:43.680 manner, could be
00:41:44.560 interpreted as
00:41:45.400 celebrating it, as
00:41:46.420 showing zero
00:41:47.560 sympathy, I think,
00:41:48.420 is a direct quote
00:41:49.160 from what I saw in
00:41:50.640 the person's
00:41:51.100 communicate, what
00:41:52.260 a terrible message
00:41:53.160 did that send to
00:41:53.820 the students that
00:41:54.400 you're supposed to
00:41:55.020 be there to
00:41:55.520 support and teach.
00:41:58.440 If that's the type
00:41:59.580 of indoctrination and
00:42:00.560 teaching that's going
00:42:01.200 on, something has
00:42:02.520 sadly failed.
00:42:04.020 And I applaud Dr.
00:42:05.960 Sydney McPhee and
00:42:07.040 the leadership there
00:42:07.820 at MTSU for
00:42:09.180 dealing with this
00:42:09.900 right away.
00:42:11.280 I'm friends with
00:42:12.080 most of the members
00:42:12.620 of the board of
00:42:13.820 that, the board
00:42:14.720 of directors of that
00:42:16.200 university.
00:42:16.640 I know that they
00:42:17.420 would applaud this
00:42:18.180 sort of thing.
00:42:18.740 and these rogue
00:42:20.100 faculty members, and
00:42:20.960 there's no other
00:42:21.420 way to describe it,
00:42:22.680 people that are in
00:42:23.620 a position of
00:42:24.160 responsibility and
00:42:25.080 trust with respect
00:42:25.860 to our young
00:42:26.300 people, particularly
00:42:26.980 the audience that
00:42:28.740 Charlie was so good
00:42:30.520 at reaching and
00:42:31.160 touching.
00:42:32.380 For someone like
00:42:33.680 that to step up
00:42:34.680 and say what they
00:42:35.260 did is abhorrent,
00:42:37.460 and I'm thankful
00:42:38.220 that MTSU acted
00:42:39.540 swiftly to discharge
00:42:40.580 them.
00:42:41.420 Senator Haggerty,
00:42:42.140 we appreciate you
00:42:42.780 making the time for
00:42:43.480 us, sir.
00:42:43.980 God bless you and
00:42:44.840 your family and
00:42:45.960 your children.
00:42:47.000 Thanks for being
00:42:47.440 here.
00:42:47.680 God, as always,
00:42:48.940 thank you for
00:42:49.320 having me.
00:42:51.240 Senator Bill
00:42:52.040 Haggerty does
00:42:53.100 great work for
00:42:54.640 the state of
00:42:55.300 Tennessee.
00:42:56.180 We'll come back.
00:42:57.000 There were reports
00:42:57.840 that there might be
00:42:58.600 a press conference
00:42:59.340 just to update
00:43:00.260 some of you.
00:43:01.460 It now appears,
00:43:02.440 Buck, there may
00:43:03.440 not be a press
00:43:05.160 conference, so we're
00:43:06.080 unsure exactly what
00:43:08.400 is going to happen,
00:43:09.020 but obviously we're
00:43:09.700 going to continue to
00:43:10.340 update you, and if
00:43:11.580 it doesn't happen,
00:43:13.020 then we will
00:43:15.460 certainly, Sean
00:43:17.400 Hannity, I'm
00:43:18.140 sure, will be
00:43:18.920 following this
00:43:19.920 story on many
00:43:20.860 of the different
00:43:21.340 stations that you
00:43:22.340 are all listening
00:43:23.320 on right now with
00:43:25.980 all of us.
00:43:27.280 But I want to tell
00:43:27.840 you, having your
00:43:29.140 identity stolen
00:43:29.900 online is a real
00:43:30.740 thing.
00:43:31.120 It happens to tens
00:43:31.900 of millions of
00:43:32.580 Americans every
00:43:33.380 year.
00:43:33.780 It happens most
00:43:34.420 often when a
00:43:35.160 cyber hacker breaks
00:43:36.120 into a company's
00:43:36.920 database and steals
00:43:38.360 customer data.
00:43:39.240 That could be
00:43:39.560 names, addresses,
00:43:40.580 credit cards,
00:43:41.160 birthdates, even
00:43:41.920 social security
00:43:42.460 numbers.
00:43:42.800 It's important
00:43:43.780 to understand how
00:43:45.020 cyber crime and
00:43:45.680 identity theft are
00:43:46.420 affecting our lives.

00:45:09.500 Welcome back in.
00:45:10.460 Clay Travis, Buck
00:45:11.520 Sexton Show.
00:45:14.180 Allie, producer, shared
00:45:16.320 an email with us, and I
00:45:18.680 thought that I would
00:45:19.840 share this with all of
00:45:21.320 you.
00:45:22.800 Clay and Buck, I'm
00:45:24.100 reaching out because my
00:45:25.920 son, I won't say his
00:45:27.120 name, but know that we
00:45:29.560 are talking to you, helped
00:45:30.780 start a Cape Cod chapter of
00:45:33.060 Turning Point USA a couple
00:45:34.460 of years ago.
00:45:35.060 He's home today, somewhat
00:45:37.420 broken, trying to process
00:45:39.120 what happened.
00:45:40.200 He's only 20 years old.
00:45:42.180 My son's been inspired by
00:45:43.380 Charlie Kirk since he was a
00:45:44.780 little kid.
00:45:45.340 He now works for Leadership
00:45:46.540 Institute, spends endless
00:45:48.080 hours recruiting students at
00:45:49.740 colleges all over the
00:45:50.900 Northeast.
00:45:53.160 I want to see if there's a
00:45:54.300 way that you could possibly
00:45:55.220 speak to him today.
00:45:56.360 I think good therapy for him
00:45:57.800 would be to speak about
00:45:58.860 Charlie Kirk.
00:45:59.960 He's alone in his room right
00:46:01.060 now.
00:46:01.440 I'm trying to think of a way
00:46:02.260 to help him get inspired,
00:46:03.400 lift his spirits.
00:46:06.040 Anything you can do would
00:46:09.340 be greatly appreciated.
00:46:12.380 So I don't want to call
00:46:13.580 this kid, I don't want to
00:46:14.160 put him on the talk to
00:46:15.400 millions of people, but
00:46:16.440 Buck, I think you and I,
00:46:18.040 they can clip this and they
00:46:19.280 can share with him.
00:46:21.420 And you're hearing my voice
00:46:23.200 because I think there's so
00:46:27.160 many young kids out there,
00:46:28.600 so many young boys that are
00:46:30.140 lost.
00:46:30.660 And Charlie was for them a
00:46:34.760 voice to help provide
00:46:36.600 salvation to them.
00:46:38.500 That's why he connected so
00:46:40.560 well with young men, young
00:46:41.880 boys.
00:46:42.700 And I know in my own
00:46:43.980 household that just from
00:46:46.000 talking to my kids about the
00:46:47.500 impact, my ninth grade son
00:46:49.180 said, Dad, we went in the
00:46:51.280 locker room and the whole
00:46:52.240 football team was just
00:46:54.040 crushed.
00:46:56.680 My son, one of my sons,
00:46:58.220 last night when I was
00:47:00.620 talking to him, said,
00:47:02.380 do you think Charlie's kids
00:47:06.340 are going to grow up and
00:47:07.220 watch that video of him
00:47:08.220 getting shot one day?
00:47:15.760 What do you say to that?
00:47:17.600 And so what I would say,
00:47:19.080 what I told them,
00:47:19.840 and what I would tell that
00:47:23.420 kid is,
00:47:29.740 you have to be tougher than
00:47:32.140 you think you are.
00:47:36.120 If you have to be braver than
00:47:38.740 you think you are.
00:47:39.740 And you are both.
00:47:48.440 And so are all of us.
00:47:52.900 And I think for young kids in
00:47:54.760 particular, you may not have
00:47:56.020 experienced.
00:47:58.620 And I know for you, Buck, I
00:48:00.760 could see it in your eyes
00:48:01.780 because this is the first time
00:48:03.960 something like this has
00:48:04.720 happened since you became a
00:48:05.660 dad.
00:48:06.760 Yeah.
00:48:06.960 Yeah.
00:48:09.740 And it changes you in a big
00:48:12.300 way.
00:48:13.120 But what I would say
00:48:14.380 is everybody has to lift up
00:48:18.700 and be braver and more
00:48:21.480 courageous and stronger than
00:48:24.320 you think you are.
00:48:26.120 And I think when you're a
00:48:27.080 young kid, young boy, young
00:48:28.860 girl, you feel like you're
00:48:31.340 fragile.
00:48:33.380 And you aren't.
00:48:35.000 You are so much stronger than
00:48:37.220 you think you are.
00:48:38.200 And one of the things with
00:48:39.560 this whole toxic empathy
00:48:41.540 universe is we're telling
00:48:43.380 kids, hey, you're weak.
00:48:46.680 Words hurt you.
00:48:48.900 You need to be protected from
00:48:51.340 the real world.
00:48:53.540 That guy who killed Charlie, he
00:48:57.120 was weak.
00:48:58.880 There was an open mic right
00:49:00.640 there.
00:49:01.980 If you have the best argument
00:49:03.900 in the world, Charlie was
00:49:05.260 providing you a voice to step
00:49:07.220 right up and tell him why he
00:49:10.220 was wrong.
00:49:12.040 And instead of that, from 200
00:49:13.900 yards away, you took his
00:49:16.360 life.
00:49:17.520 For your young son, for so
00:49:19.580 many young people out there,
00:49:20.800 and for a lot of us that are
00:49:21.900 older too, we have to be
00:49:23.700 braver.
00:49:24.600 We have to be more
00:49:25.520 courageous.
00:49:26.460 We have to be tougher than we
00:49:28.000 even think we are.
00:49:29.600 And you cannot let people who
00:49:31.900 want to silence you win.
00:49:34.720 Ever.
00:49:35.080 That's what they want.
00:49:37.260 You have to stand up stronger
00:49:39.360 than you've ever been before.
00:49:40.960 All of us do.
00:49:42.120 Your son, my sons, everybody's
00:49:44.160 sons and daughters, and all of
00:49:45.860 us too have to be the rocks to
00:49:47.520 allow them to stand up and be
00:49:50.220 strong.
00:49:52.080 Amen, Clay.
00:49:52.900 Let's take calls.
00:49:54.560 Let's come back.
00:49:55.400 Let's hear from all of you.
00:49:56.780 Our lines are open.
00:49:58.080 We want to speak with all of
00:49:59.100 you.
00:49:59.980 So please call in.
00:50:01.820 And if you're getting a busy,
00:50:03.600 please wait your turn if you
00:50:04.600 want to speak to us and
00:50:05.540 everyone all around the
00:50:06.500 country about what happened.
00:50:08.260 We'll get into it in a few
00:50:09.200 minutes here.
00:50:09.660 Thank you for being with us.
00:50:13.400 All right, we're closing up
00:50:14.340 shop today here on Clay and
00:50:15.640 Buck.
00:50:17.060 Look, it was a difficult show
00:50:18.260 for all of us.
00:50:19.020 I'm sure it was difficult for
00:50:20.200 you to be with us and thinking
00:50:21.960 about these things, but we're
00:50:24.120 honored and appreciated that
00:50:25.080 you were with us.
00:50:26.320 And it is a very special thing
00:50:28.200 that Clay and I get to do with
00:50:29.720 all of you every day.
00:50:31.700 And we, you know, we are going
00:50:36.100 to do our best to continue with
00:50:37.760 the with the ethos and the
00:50:39.600 mission of this show, which
00:50:40.720 aligned in lockstep with what
00:50:44.320 Charlie wanted for this country
00:50:45.840 and with what he stood for.
00:50:48.820 We have that interview where he
00:50:50.540 joined our show because, of
00:50:51.680 course, he was a friend of the
00:50:53.000 show, friend of ours.
00:50:53.760 He came on.
00:50:54.660 I was on vacation, but he was
00:50:56.220 able to speak to Clay about a
00:50:57.780 whole range of things.
00:50:58.540 Something very important to
00:50:59.980 Charlie and as we see critical
00:51:01.760 now in America to have our
00:51:05.160 focus is how we are raising and
00:51:07.900 how we are encouraging and
00:51:09.680 building young men up for the
00:51:13.100 next to be the next generation
00:51:14.480 of male leadership in this
00:51:17.200 critical country of ours, this
00:51:19.480 republic that is the last best
00:51:22.340 guarantor of freedom for all of
00:51:24.220 us.
00:51:24.800 Here is cut nine.
00:51:27.060 And Charlie, we're just going to
00:51:28.000 let you listen to what he had to
00:51:28.940 say about it.
00:51:29.500 Play it.
00:51:30.100 So you speaking of college
00:51:31.400 football, a lot of young men are
00:51:33.120 college football fans.
00:51:34.600 The campaign that was just run, if
00:51:36.680 you had to point to one group
00:51:38.200 that moved most massively from
00:51:40.020 plus 14 for Biden to plus 14 for
00:51:43.720 Trump, according to at least one
00:51:45.360 Wall Street Journal poll that I
00:51:46.860 saw, why did young men in your
00:51:48.880 mind, people that you have been
00:51:50.080 reaching out to aggressively, move
00:51:52.200 so substantially in this election?
00:51:54.540 I'd say I think it's because
00:51:55.820 they want to be part of a
00:51:56.600 political movement that doesn't
00:51:57.740 hate them.
00:51:58.560 Over the last couple of years, you
00:51:59.900 started to see the woke stuff that
00:52:01.560 was really incubated in 2020 start
00:52:04.840 to germinate and metastasize and
00:52:07.120 grow into all of our institutions.
00:52:08.980 And one of the core orthodoxies of
00:52:10.980 woke is what we call DEI is really a
00:52:14.120 hatred of Christian white straight men.
00:52:19.200 And I hate to be that blunt about it,
00:52:20.400 but it is.
00:52:21.020 It's the orthodoxy of it, and young
00:52:24.180 men say, wait, why am I being part
00:52:26.140 of this exactly?
00:52:26.880 I want to be part of a political
00:52:27.660 movement that at least acknowledges
00:52:29.840 that there is men and women and
00:52:31.800 says that it's a good thing to be a
00:52:33.020 man and that masculinity is not
00:52:35.260 inherently toxic.
00:52:37.300 And on top of that, though, go ahead,
00:52:38.960 please.
00:52:39.300 Yeah.
00:52:39.500 No, I was just going to say, I think
00:52:41.080 what's interesting, and you may have
00:52:42.040 been going there, too, is it starts
00:52:44.060 with white men are the problem, but
00:52:46.040 the problem with that is eventually
00:52:47.640 it has to grow.
00:52:48.640 And I think black guys, Hispanic guys,
00:52:50.700 Asian guys looking around like, hey, I
00:52:52.620 don't think masculinity is toxic.
00:52:54.720 I think that men and women are
00:52:56.340 different, and suddenly you can't say
00:52:58.340 that and be a Democrat.
00:52:59.840 Correct.
00:53:00.560 And then it even grows deeper into
00:53:02.960 this kind of tyranny of political
00:53:04.360 correctness, which at its core is
00:53:06.880 like toxic femininity, which is that
00:53:09.240 we're going to police all of your
00:53:10.760 speech.
00:53:11.460 The left has become a bunch of
00:53:12.540 scolds of hall monitors of people that
00:53:14.720 do not believe in free expression or
00:53:17.020 dialogue or discourse.
00:53:18.700 And, you know, what we've seen in the
00:53:21.580 last couple of years is now a
00:53:23.740 backlash of that, where if there is
00:53:25.820 anyone in the quote-unquote
00:53:26.880 manosphere, you know, you say Joe
00:53:29.720 Rogan to Theo Vaughn, it's not that
00:53:31.680 they're conservative, but they're
00:53:32.980 inherently anti-left, that they're
00:53:35.600 against the kind of new left-wing
00:53:37.980 dogma and doctrine that believes that
00:53:42.820 there needs to be speech codes, that,
00:53:45.180 you know, this trans nonsense.
00:53:47.720 And so young men in particular kind
00:53:49.920 of led the rebellion towards a
00:53:52.020 political movement, one rooted in
00:53:53.460 common sense, patriotism, liberty,
00:53:56.420 and freedom.
00:53:58.660 Clay, I spoke at one of Charlie's very
00:54:02.860 first events for Turning Point.
00:54:05.380 I don't know what number it was in
00:54:07.920 the progression, but it was 20, I
00:54:10.520 think it was 2015, so maybe early
00:54:14.860 2016, and I remember something.
00:54:18.040 He came up to me backstage, and this
00:54:19.980 is our first ever meeting, and I
00:54:22.460 didn't know anything about him.
00:54:23.520 All I knew is that he had reached
00:54:24.740 out, and he said, I love your stuff.
00:54:26.840 Would you please come?
00:54:27.700 And Tommy Lahren was there, and I
00:54:28.900 was there.
00:54:30.340 And he said, I love your stuff.
00:54:31.480 Would you please come and speak?
00:54:33.120 And I said, sure.
00:54:34.900 You know, I was, I happened to, it
00:54:35.900 was in Dallas.
00:54:36.560 I happened to be in Dallas.
00:54:37.340 And he saw me backstage, and he had
00:54:40.420 that already, of course, that Charlie
00:54:43.460 energy, and just, you know, this guy
00:54:48.160 was just pulling it all together.
00:54:50.100 And he came up to me, and he said,
00:54:51.660 you know, I listened to you fill in
00:54:53.260 for Rush, because this is after I
00:54:54.700 filled in for Rush a few times as a
00:54:56.420 guest host.
00:54:57.280 You know, Charlie filled in on my
00:54:58.680 program years later, when I was doing
00:55:00.740 a six to nine, so now Jesse Kelly's
00:55:02.820 slot.
00:55:03.540 So Charlie filled in for me.
00:55:04.860 Um, but he said, I listened to you
00:55:07.540 for Rush, and he said, you know, he
00:55:09.120 was very generous.
00:55:09.920 He said, you know, you did such a
00:55:10.960 great job.
00:55:12.180 Um, and, and that's, and basically
00:55:14.000 was like, that's just so cool.
00:55:15.240 Like, he was just telling me, that's
00:55:16.160 just so cool.
00:55:16.740 He filled in for Rush.
00:55:18.260 And he said, you know how I learned
00:55:19.540 conservatism?
00:55:20.920 He said, the one thing that he
00:55:22.700 absolutely never missed, and this is,
00:55:25.040 I think, for a lot of you bringing
00:55:26.100 things full circle.
00:55:27.240 He said, I couldn't always listen to
00:55:28.720 all three hours, but I listened to
00:55:30.800 Rush Limbaugh's opening monologue
00:55:32.680 every day, starting in, you know,
00:55:36.440 junior high.
00:55:37.400 Every day, he said.
00:55:38.540 He would listen to Rush.
00:55:40.540 So, this is, so much of Charlie and
00:55:44.860 what he believed, it makes sense, and
00:55:47.240 you understand where it was coming
00:55:48.880 from.
00:55:50.620 Well, I think that's, that's a really
00:55:52.440 great analogy, because what it
00:55:54.520 represents is, all of us have a
00:55:57.360 relatively short amount of time on
00:56:00.700 this planet, right?
00:56:01.500 We don't know when it's going to
00:56:03.180 come to an end for any of us, and I
00:56:06.340 think Charlie got that.
00:56:07.220 He's only 31, and Rush certainly got
00:56:10.140 that.
00:56:10.400 There are tons of you listening to us
00:56:12.340 right now who started listening,
00:56:14.300 because mom and dad, grandma and
00:56:15.540 grandpa were driving you around in
00:56:16.840 the car.
00:56:17.200 The Rush baby universe is large, and
00:56:20.820 we've now been doing this show for
00:56:22.500 over four years, which means you
00:56:25.660 could have gone from freshman year of
00:56:27.240 high school to being a senior now,
00:56:29.380 and we're going to be doing it for
00:56:31.240 hopefully years and years to come, but
00:56:33.580 you win by winning the culture, and
00:56:39.120 that's what I would come back to with
00:56:40.960 Charlie.
00:56:41.900 You have to go to people where they
00:56:44.580 are, and he went to them on a college
00:56:47.840 campus, and he said, here's an open
00:56:50.680 mic, let's debate, and the very
00:56:54.100 foundation of America is the best
00:56:57.660 argument should win, and Charlie had the
00:57:01.060 best arguments, and he won, and he won
00:57:04.740 big, and the culture has shifted around
00:57:07.320 him, and that's why they killed him, and
00:57:10.400 what we cannot allow to happen, not you,
00:57:12.600 me, not all of you out there, what we
00:57:15.620 cannot allow to happen is for his
00:57:18.400 victories to go in vain.
00:57:21.160 We have to pick up the mantle, and we
00:57:23.840 have to advance it further and further,
00:57:25.940 and I know all of you are going to do
00:57:28.120 that.
00:57:28.780 I was going to say, Clay and I make you
00:57:30.420 all a solemn promise, we will continue
00:57:32.080 what we do here, we will continue to
00:57:34.120 honor what Charlie stood for in his
00:57:35.680 memory, and we will stay in this fight
00:57:38.240 because it's a fight to make this the
00:57:39.720 best country for all of us that we
00:57:41.900 possibly can, and to tell you all the
00:57:43.860 truth, and you all play a role in it,
00:57:46.560 play the critical part in it every day
00:57:48.940 because without you, we wouldn't be able
00:57:51.160 to have any impact, so thank you all for
00:57:52.900 listening.
00:57:53.660 God bless you.
00:57:54.440 We're praying for all of you.
00:57:55.620 We're praying for Charlie, Charlie's
00:57:56.880 family.
00:57:58.020 We love you all, and please go hug and
00:58:00.320 tell your family you love them today.
