00:00:05.300 Welcome to this Verdict with Ted Cruz Week in Review.
00:00:08.820 Ben Ferguson with you, and these are the stories that you may have missed that we talked about this week.
00:00:14.140 First up, Hunter Biden's gun has been in evidence.
00:00:18.180 And guess what was on that gun?
00:00:20.700 In the case that was holding that gun, none other than a white substance that's now been confirmed as cocaine.
00:00:28.200 So why did it take from 2017 until now?
00:00:31.440 Well, it was probably a part of the big cover-up.
00:00:33.420 We'll have more about that in a moment.
00:00:35.220 Also, ESPN.
00:00:36.920 They knew they were giving fake awards to people that were on-air personalities.
00:00:42.980 And they'd been doing it for decades.
00:00:44.780 And they finally got caught.
00:00:46.120 So why is the rest of the media not calling them out for this?
00:00:49.220 And finally, Hunter Biden's laptop, something we already knew.
00:00:52.880 Four years ago, it was real.
00:00:54.820 And now the Department of Justice has admitted that, in fact, it is real.
00:00:59.420 And they knew it all along.
00:01:01.400 Is there going to be any accountability for that?
00:01:04.060 It's the Week in Review.
00:01:05.380 And it starts right now.
00:01:07.100 Senator, I want to turn to something else real quick.
00:01:09.760 And it's another issue that you're not going to hear about probably anywhere.
00:01:14.440 But here, and you might see it on Fox,
00:01:17.420 Hunter Biden is back in the news barely, keyword barely.
00:01:22.500 And the Washington Post's Matt Visor tweeted this out, saying,
00:01:27.340 In a new court filing, the Department of Justice said they pulled Hunter Biden's gun from evidence in 2023
00:01:35.720 and found a white substance on the leather gun pouch.
00:01:41.440 An FBI chemist determined it was cocaine.
00:01:45.500 To be clear, quote, investigators literally found drugs on the pouch where the defendant has kept his gun.
00:01:53.540 And yet no one's talking about cocaine found on the leather pouch of the president's son's firearm.
00:02:01.920 Really?
00:02:03.140 So, look, Hunter Biden is a world of trouble.
00:02:06.460 Anyone who pays attention knows that.
00:02:08.180 This filing this week from the Department of Justice was really stunning.
00:02:13.460 It is a felony for someone who has a substance abuse problem,
00:02:17.440 for someone who's using illegal drugs to have a firearm.
00:02:21.120 Here's what the Biden Department of Justice said in their written brief filed in court.
00:02:26.240 I just want to read this.
00:02:27.840 It is the following paragraph.
00:02:31.020 Title.
00:02:31.280 Cocaine was found on the defendant's brown leather gun pouch.
00:02:37.880 Here's what the paragraph says.
00:02:40.000 In 2023, FBI investigators pulled sealed evidence from the state police vault to take photographs of the defendant's firearm,
00:02:47.840 the defendant being Hunter Biden.
00:02:49.620 After opening the evidence, FBI investigators observed a white powdery substance on the defendant's brown leather pouch
00:02:57.700 that had held the defendant's firearm in October 2018.
00:03:03.280 Based on their training and expertise, investigators believed that this substance was likely cocaine
00:03:09.380 and that this evidence would corroborate the messages that investigators had obtained,
00:03:15.480 which showed the defendant buying and using drugs in October 2018.
00:03:20.780 An FBI chemist subsequently analyzed the residue and determined that it was cocaine.
00:03:29.940 To be clear, investigators literally found drugs on the pouch where the defendant had kept his gun.
00:03:40.660 Now, look, this is reminiscent of Bob Menendez having evidence in his closet of a jacket
00:03:51.400 with the U.S. Senate seal on it, with the name Senator Menendez typed on it,
00:03:58.380 with a packet of $10,000 in his pocket,
00:04:01.700 with the fingerprints of the Egyptians who allegedly bribed him in his pocket.
00:04:07.260 Like, I gotta tell you, I've practiced law a lot of years.
00:04:11.820 You don't get evidence like this.
00:04:13.400 You don't get evidence that ties every piece of it together.
00:04:16.520 The fact that Hunter, his gun case had cocaine on it,
00:04:20.660 and the FBI has determined, yep, that's cocaine, on his gun case.
00:04:24.500 The felony is possessing a firearm while using illegal drugs.
00:04:30.340 Your gun case has cocaine on it.
00:04:33.820 I don't care how bad a lawyer you are.
00:04:36.200 That ain't hard to prove.
00:04:37.820 And let's be clear.
00:04:39.380 The Biden DOJ was prepared to give a sweetheart deal to Hunter Biden,
00:04:44.240 give him a slap on the wrist, and have him serve zero, not a moment, of jail time
00:04:50.220 until they got caught at it.
00:04:53.500 And so this evidence...
00:04:55.340 By the way, while they knew that the crime they committed, which is a felony,
00:04:59.960 lying on this form to buy a gun while you're under this,
00:05:04.480 there's, I mean, you can't make it up to her cocaine on the pouch of the gun.
00:05:09.920 How much easier would it be for you to have a case than this?
00:05:13.100 Look, I want to say something original that's never been said before.
00:05:17.420 Cocaine.
00:05:18.240 She don't lie.
00:05:19.500 She don't lie.
00:05:21.240 Cocaine.
00:05:21.640 Yeah, yeah.
00:05:24.580 And welcome to your DOJ right now.
00:05:26.400 If you're the president's son, you can have cocaine on your gun,
00:05:28.840 and they still will try to give you a sweetheart deal to cover it up.
00:05:32.300 By the way, but Ben, don't forget the mystery of the century.
00:05:36.240 The Department of Justice, the FBI, the CIA,
00:05:39.280 the entire amassed forces of the federal government cannot figure out
00:05:44.020 who left a packet of cocaine in the White House
00:05:47.220 with cameras everywhere and security guards everywhere.
00:05:50.460 It's a mystery.
00:05:51.640 Who the hell can figure it out?
00:05:54.140 And his name might rhyme with Bunter Hyden.
00:05:57.200 All right, I can ask this because it's a podcast,
00:05:59.860 so I can use this word, so I'm going to use it.
00:06:01.620 Which one, and we'll end with this, Senator, pisses you off more?
00:06:05.300 That they can't figure out whose cocaine it was in the White House
00:06:08.180 or that they can't figure out who leaked the decision coming out of the Supreme Court
00:06:12.920 on Roe v. Wade?
00:06:14.440 So let me break those down,
00:06:15.880 and actually I'm joking with the Bunter Hyden thing,
00:06:18.360 but as we said in our previous podcast and go back,
00:06:21.540 I actually don't think it's Hunter Biden's cocaine.
00:06:24.540 Really? Okay.
00:06:25.220 Because, and we talked about this, right?
00:06:27.320 Oh, that's right, because I believe it totally is.
00:06:29.900 No, it's not, because the place it's at is where the staff goes in and out.
00:06:34.440 And I think it's a staffer.
00:06:36.320 I don't know if it's the chief of staff or the deputy chief of staff or a senior official,
00:06:39.800 but it's an employee and probably a senior employee, although I don't know that,
00:06:45.240 of the Biden White House, because Hunter Biden, as the presidential son,
00:06:50.000 doesn't go through the staff entrance to the West Wing.
00:06:53.180 I go through there all, or I used to, I haven't been there in years,
00:06:56.560 but when Trump was president, I went through there all the time.
00:07:00.100 That's where staff goes in and out.
00:07:02.000 It's not where the first family goes in and out.
00:07:04.980 And so I actually think the cover up there is they are hiding for a staffer
00:07:09.020 who was dumb enough to bring his or her cocaine into the White House.
00:07:13.500 So I was being a smart ass saying it was Hunter Biden's,
00:07:18.280 but I actually don't think that's Hunter's.
00:07:20.080 I do think the cocaine on his gun pouch was Hunter's, but that's a different thing.
00:07:25.000 Between the two, it's not even close in terms of what the public consequence is,
00:07:28.540 which is the leaking of the draft opinion from the Supreme Court,
00:07:32.180 was consequential at historic levels.
00:07:35.300 It undermined the rule of law.
00:07:36.900 It undermined the Supreme Court, and I think it is an absolute outrage
00:07:40.320 that they have not tracked down and prosecuted the person who did so.
00:07:43.780 So between the two, it's not even close.
00:07:46.660 But I got to say more broadly, on the cocaine issue, look, this DOJ filing illustrates
00:07:54.660 that the evidence against Hunter is compelling.
00:07:57.380 It's overwhelming.
00:07:58.340 And mind you, the Biden DOJ has let the most serious offenses,
00:08:02.240 has let the statute of limitations expire.
00:08:04.460 They're trying to let them on.
00:08:06.260 Remember, remember, remember, we said this in our last podcast.
00:08:09.260 First, the target of this investigation, if you're looking at the public interest,
00:08:15.420 is not and should not be Hunter Biden.
00:08:17.700 The guy is a poor, sad sack who's got enormous problems.
00:08:22.620 But the reason this is a matter of public import is because Joe Biden,
00:08:27.240 Daddy Biden, who's the President of the United States,
00:08:30.740 has now years and even decades of history of corruption,
00:08:35.080 of selling official favors for millions of dollars going to his family.
00:08:40.440 And so this filing from the Biden DOJ just shows they've got the evidence like crazy,
00:08:46.500 and yet they're bending over.
00:08:48.760 I want to ask you, Ben, do you think, all right, you own a gun store.
00:08:54.080 Yeah.
00:08:54.360 I want to ask you a question.
00:08:56.360 At your gun store, if the FBI came in and found cocaine
00:09:01.520 on a brown leather package that was holding guns,
00:09:06.720 how do you think they would treat Ben Ferguson?
00:09:10.580 I would be in jail, and it would be bad.
00:09:13.120 Yeah, it wouldn't even be up for debate.
00:09:15.160 But like, not close, like, sing, sing, don't bend over for the soap.
00:09:19.780 Ben, nice to know you.
00:09:21.000 I'll write you a letter.
00:09:21.900 I'll bake you a cake and put a file in it.
00:09:23.940 Yeah.
00:09:24.840 And that would be how they would treat, I think,
00:09:27.260 pretty much anybody that doesn't have the connections that he has.
00:09:30.080 Now, if your name were Benjamin Biden,
00:09:32.660 by the way, you would be driving a sweet car.
00:09:35.340 You might have a private plane.
00:09:36.780 You would be living life well
00:09:39.040 because you'd be able to sell favors from daddy.
00:09:41.700 Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
00:09:44.340 you can go back and listen to the full podcast from earlier this week.

00:10:16.480 or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:10:18.160 Now on to story number two.
00:10:22.340 All right, lastly, I do have to ask you about a story.
00:10:25.540 And you love sports as much as I love sports.
00:10:28.540 I watch a lot of sports.
00:10:30.180 It's my way of just, you know, disconnecting from the political world.
00:10:34.220 There was one story this week that just made me so happy that ESPN got busted.
00:10:39.560 The same people that are so sanctimonious about anybody that they think
00:10:43.600 might be doing something wrong in sports.
00:10:45.380 And they got all in on the Black Lives Matter
00:10:47.820 and all the kneeling protests and stood behind people that were kneeling.
00:10:52.300 So this happened this week.
00:10:54.900 ESPN took awards won by imaginary people whose names they submitted on purpose.
00:11:02.440 So John Doe, Jane Doe, right?
00:11:04.160 People that didn't work for them, didn't even exist.
00:11:06.480 They knew didn't exist and then had these awards after they won re-engraved
00:11:12.400 to give, quote, on-air personalities statues.
00:11:17.020 ESPN awarded the trophies to front-facing figures to give them more clout.
00:11:22.900 So this was like a clear conspiracy to, like, raise the, you know,
00:11:27.060 the stature of their own on-air people.
00:11:29.100 They gave these figures to college game day hosts such as Lee Corso,
00:11:33.360 Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler, Desmond Howard, and Sam Ponder.
00:11:37.900 This is because, quote, hosts were not eligible to be honored in a credit list until 2023.
00:11:45.940 Now, this scheme was something that went on not for, like, a year or two.
00:11:50.620 Went on for decades.
00:11:53.120 What happened?
00:11:54.120 Well, until 2023, they said,
00:11:56.400 we were just trying to give them what we thought was something they needed.
00:11:59.260 They're now being forced to give the statues back.
00:12:01.800 I got to get your reaction to it because it's amazing.
00:12:04.960 Well, listen, like a lot of sports fans, ESPN pisses me off.
00:12:09.420 ESPN pisses me off because they've decided in recent years that they don't actually really care about sports.
00:12:14.260 They care about woke politics.
00:12:15.600 And so they spend, it seems, more time lecturing us about their radical politics
00:12:19.860 than actually covering sports, like watching amazing plays,
00:12:23.280 watching great catches in the end zones,
00:12:25.500 watching, you know, tomahawk dunks or crushing blocks
00:12:28.900 or, you know, amazing grand slam hits.
00:12:31.880 I mean, sports is fun to watch.
00:12:34.880 But they've said, no, no, no.
00:12:36.620 We're political commentators.
00:12:38.280 We're left wing.
00:12:39.280 And you know what?
00:12:40.780 MSNBC is not woke enough for us.
00:12:43.060 We can be to the left of MSNBC.
00:12:45.380 And it pisses me off because most sports fans are not hardcore Marxists.
00:12:49.520 We're watching it because we enjoy it.
00:12:51.760 And so ESPN, it is almost worth watching it on mute.
00:12:57.240 I don't quite do that because you do, when they cover sports,
00:13:00.760 you occasionally learn some interesting things.
00:13:02.480 And so I like, you know, I like hearing the commentary of, you know, so-and-so.
00:13:06.060 This is, for example, the Cleveland Browns, I learned when the Texans were winning,
00:13:11.600 were the first team in 20 years to make the playoffs after leading the NFL in turnovers.
00:13:16.600 Did you know that?
00:13:17.180 I did not know that.
00:13:17.860 That's kind of interesting.
00:13:18.880 You know, and Flacco, look, Flacco's a very good quarterback.
00:13:22.520 He just has a bad habit of throwing interceptions.
00:13:24.320 But he's still, he's an old dude.
00:13:26.020 So I sort of like watching old dudes that are not yet put out.
00:13:30.120 I like that habit.
00:13:31.060 As long as he's on the other team, I love that habit.
00:13:33.820 They weren't interceptions.
00:13:35.160 They were great passes to our defenders who needed to score.
00:13:38.760 Our defense almost outscored the offense.
00:13:40.800 I mean, that was 14 points from the D is pretty good.
00:13:43.900 All right.
00:13:44.280 Anyway, that's commentary you like to hear.
00:13:47.120 That's kind of an interesting factoid.
00:13:48.880 It's like, huh, I didn't know that.
00:13:50.840 But instead, ESPN just yabbers on.
00:13:53.800 And it's a corporate decision.
00:13:55.740 100% corporate.
00:13:57.420 I don't even know.
00:13:58.160 I remember when I saw the change in real life.
00:14:01.440 You remember on ESPN, too, they used to do a show, Cold Pizza?
00:14:04.640 They would have on guests.
00:14:06.280 I was a guest that did that show regularly.
00:14:08.280 And I did it when there was a controversy that was quasi kind of like political in nature with sports.
00:14:14.100 And they used to have both sides.
00:14:16.000 And then all of a sudden they said, hey, we basically ban all conservatives.
00:14:19.220 Yeah, by the way, I'm curious.
00:14:20.920 Check me on this.
00:14:22.760 When Daily Wire came out with their movie Lady Ballers, in which yours truly has a cameo.
00:14:28.740 Yes.
00:14:29.480 Now, it's a sports movie.
00:14:30.560 It's a sports movie.
00:14:31.280 I wonder if you'll get an Emmy for that.
00:14:32.820 Because that's a real name they could at least nominate.
00:14:35.260 Right?
00:14:35.400 So the fake ones is ESPN.
00:14:36.420 But my question, did ESPN cover the movie Lady Ballers?
00:14:40.140 Which was a sports movie.
00:14:41.260 They should have at least mentioned it.
00:14:42.220 It's a sports movie.
00:14:43.320 It's really funny.
00:14:44.340 It's like dodgeball.
00:14:45.220 It's really funny.
00:14:46.200 The premise of Lady Ballers, which if you haven't watched it, you ought to go watch it because you'll laugh.
00:14:51.360 It's well done.
00:14:52.080 I have a tiny cameo, so my part is completely inconsequential.
00:14:55.920 But the premise is a bunch of guys in their 40s who, when they were in high school, were the state champion in basketball, decide to pretend they're women and dominate women's basketball.
00:15:06.900 It's really damn funny.
00:15:08.560 It's amazing no one's made this movie for 20 years because it's an obvious premise.
00:15:12.360 Yeah.
00:15:12.680 But they do it beautifully.
00:15:14.180 It's a very predictable movie that should have been made.
00:15:16.300 But no one would.
00:15:17.280 And by the way, most Hollywood actors won't participate in it because they'd be blackballed for daring to laugh at the idiocies.
00:15:24.640 Of the woke left.
00:15:26.300 Well, ESPN would never acknowledge it exists.
00:15:29.900 But we now know, and this story is amazing, that ESPN, in addition to being woke leftist propagandists, they are liars.
00:15:39.320 They are engaged in active fraud.
00:15:41.260 For decades.
00:15:41.940 And understand what this lie is.
00:15:43.820 It's really quite stunning.
00:15:45.220 So they're submitting to an award show to win awards.
00:15:49.140 And they're asked to list all of the crew.
00:15:52.680 So if we give you an award, who deserves it?
00:15:55.740 And they just, for decades, put fake names there.
00:15:59.460 Yeah.
00:15:59.760 Now they won a bunch of these awards, and so they'd get the award statues with a fake name.
00:16:04.960 You know, you might say, that is a Mickey Mouse award.
00:16:07.340 Well, it might have been a Mickey Mouse award.
00:16:08.880 It might have been awarded to Mickey Mouse.
00:16:10.800 Because they just, they made up names of human beings that don't exist.
00:16:15.840 Not even people that didn't work on the show.
00:16:18.420 Just totally made up names.
00:16:19.780 And why did they do it?
00:16:20.940 Because they wanted the little statuette.
00:16:23.320 Yeah.
00:16:23.840 The Emmy's a big deal.
00:16:24.820 To pull the nameplate off and put somebody else's name that was their on-air talent.
00:16:31.640 And their on-air talent was ineligible.
00:16:34.000 And understand, ESPN is being forced to return, I think it's 32.
00:16:38.100 37.
00:16:38.800 37.
00:16:39.420 Yeah.
00:16:39.440 So they were ordered ESPN to return a total of 37 trophies, each of which was intended for
00:16:44.840 a behind-the-scenes employee who does not exist.
00:16:48.340 Former ESPN reporter Shelly Smith told the New York Times that in May of 2023, executive
00:16:55.380 Stephanie Dooley ordered her to return her two sports Emmy statues.
00:17:00.660 Dooley apparently told her that it was a serious matter and that the reason must stay between
00:17:05.200 them.
00:17:05.740 So it wasn't just that they got busted.
00:17:08.040 There was in a cover-up to make sure that the story didn't go public after they were ordered
00:17:12.640 to give back the 37 trophies.
00:17:13.840 So, Ben, I'm going to go online and I'm going to see if you can order a fake Emmy.
00:17:17.460 And I'm going to order a fake Emmy with the name Mickey Mouse.
00:17:20.900 And then when it arrives, I'm going to take Mickey Mouse off and I'm going to put Ben
00:17:24.000 Ferguson on.
00:17:24.600 I love it.
00:17:25.140 I'll get you one for Lady Ballers and we'll just make it up as we go.
00:17:28.640 But I want to put the Emmy up, our Emmy Award winning podcast, because you know what?
00:17:33.160 We won as many Emmys as the on-air talent at ESPN did.
00:17:37.880 They are literally fraudulent liars.
00:17:40.980 And let me ask you a question.
00:17:41.940 For every on-air talent who had the statue in his office, who had it on TV, how many
00:17:48.580 of them have apologized?
00:17:49.980 How many of them have gone on air and said, you know what?
00:17:52.020 I went on TV with an Emmy behind me that I didn't win.
00:17:54.900 And it was fake and it was fraudulent.
00:17:56.300 And I'm sorry for lying to you.
00:17:57.800 And by the way, if their claim is, oh, we didn't know.
00:18:00.580 How many of them have said, I want to apologize?
00:18:03.220 I didn't know.
00:18:04.100 But my bosses did.
00:18:05.900 And my bosses put it up because they were lying to you.
00:18:09.380 They claim to be a journalistic outlet, but they are engaged in fraud and they're lying
00:18:13.820 to you.
00:18:14.840 As far as I can tell, there has been zero journalistic integrity.
00:18:19.000 Nobody at ESPN saying-
00:18:20.840 And there's a cover-up.
00:18:22.400 That's the best part of the story is not only were they busted, but ESPN executives are
00:18:26.420 saying, this has to stay between you and I.
00:18:28.960 I need your Emmy back and don't talk about it.
00:18:31.520 Don't tell anybody.
00:18:32.460 I need it back quickly.
00:18:33.300 We don't want anybody in the public to find out we were doing this for decades.
00:18:37.060 By the way, I really want to know the names of the fake employees.
00:18:40.840 How good they were?
00:18:41.520 Yeah.
00:18:41.760 Did they do John Doe?
00:18:43.340 Did they do Mickey Mouse?
00:18:44.480 Did they do Huflung Du?
00:18:46.020 Like what kind of, you know, Peking Duck, like what kind of names did they go with?
00:18:52.020 That would be great to know.
00:18:53.320 I feel confident we will never know because ESPN and their parrot company will do everything
00:18:57.700 they can to say, nothing to see here.
00:18:59.820 This is Disney, right?
00:19:00.800 Just throw that out there, right?
00:19:02.100 Doesn't it be Disney?
00:19:03.300 I think that's right.
00:19:05.000 So to be fair.
00:19:06.020 Maybe Mickey Mouse wasn't too far on the stretch.
00:19:08.920 Maybe they gave the nameplate to Mickey Mouse.
00:19:11.220 So it was a twofer.
00:19:12.460 It was a twofer.
00:19:13.140 You know, the seven dwarves all won Emmys now.
00:19:16.040 Sleepy got one.
00:19:17.320 I like that.
00:19:18.080 Well done.
00:19:18.760 Well done to ESPN.
00:19:20.060 Good job trying to cover it up.
00:19:21.120 And I'm so glad they got roasted.
00:19:22.360 As before, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation on this topic, you can go
00:19:27.260 back and download the podcast from early this week to hear the entire thing.

00:19:57.240 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:20:02.780 I want to get back to the big story number three of the week you may have missed.
00:20:07.480 Senator, lastly, I want to move to another story that is broken.
00:20:10.980 It's one that is Captain Obvious.
00:20:13.440 Yeah, we already knew this.
00:20:14.580 And yet, somehow, we've finally gotten the admission of something we all knew from the very beginning.
00:20:22.620 Biden's Department of Justice is admitting now that Hunter Biden's laptop is, in fact, real.
00:20:29.740 Four years after Biden's laptop from hell was falsely labeled misinformation,
00:20:36.400 the DOJ is admitting it's real.
00:20:38.120 We also knew at the time they knew it was real and the FBI knew it was real.
00:20:41.280 And we also now know that those 50-plus leaders in the intelligence community,
00:20:47.380 they knew that it was real when they lied to the American people to influence the election
00:20:52.280 in the last presidential cycle.
00:20:54.680 Your reaction to this?
00:20:56.460 Look, this is a stunning admission.
00:20:59.220 It means Joe Biden lied to the American people.
00:21:03.580 Hunter Biden lied to the American people.
00:21:06.260 Just about every single elected Democrat in America lied to the American people.
00:21:11.280 Just about every single corporate media outlet that repeated the Democrat talking points
00:21:16.360 lied to the American people.
00:21:18.660 I want to read you what the Biden Department of Justice just filed in a federal court.
00:21:22.580 This is from a brief.
00:21:24.220 And the heading is,
00:21:25.420 While investigating the defendant for tax violations,
00:21:28.540 investigators obtained evidence showing his prior gun purchase was illegal
00:21:32.740 because he was addicted to controlled substances.
00:21:35.700 And here's the paragraph.
00:21:37.200 In August 2019, IRS and FBI investigators obtained a search warrant for tax violation
00:21:44.580 for defendant's Apple iCloud account.
00:21:48.180 In response to that warrant, in September of 2019,
00:21:52.620 Apple produced backups of data from various of the defendant's electronic devices
00:21:57.340 that he had backed up to his iCloud account.
00:22:00.260 Investigators also later came into possession of the defendant's Apple MacBook Pro,
00:22:08.680 which he had left at a computer store.
00:22:12.100 A search warrant was also obtained for his laptop,
00:22:14.900 and the results of the search were largely duplicative of information investigators
00:22:21.940 had already obtained from Apple.
00:22:24.800 That means the Biden Department of Justice is admitting the Hunter laptop is real.
00:22:29.800 It was his laptop.
00:22:31.380 He left it at the repair station.
00:22:33.040 The information on it is accurate.
00:22:35.120 They knew it was accurate.
00:22:36.420 They knew it was accurate in 2019.
00:22:39.460 They knew it was accurate because they had the information from Hunter Biden's Apple iCloud account,
00:22:45.160 and it was the same thing.
00:22:46.540 So they knew it was real.
00:22:48.080 And yet, they did not make that public.
00:22:52.300 And Joe Biden and Hunter Biden and just about every elected Democrat lied to the American people
00:22:57.500 and said, this is not real.
00:22:58.960 This is not his laptop.
00:23:00.300 This is Russian misinformation.
00:23:01.560 This is planted by Vladimir Putin.
00:23:03.920 And the media, the corporate media, was utterly complicit.
00:23:07.720 They repeated it over and over and over again.
00:23:10.320 And by the way, to the best of my knowledge,
00:23:12.620 so we now have the Biden DOJ saying every word they said was a lie.
00:23:15.680 I'm not aware of a single corporate media outlet that has apologized,
00:23:19.880 that has retracted what they've said.
00:23:21.500 The New York Times, to the best of my knowledge, has not.
00:23:24.060 The Washington Post has not.
00:23:26.180 ABC, NBC, CBS has not.
00:23:28.280 MSNBC has not.
00:23:29.540 CNN has not.
00:23:30.900 They are perfectly happy to have lied to the American people.
00:23:36.160 And by the way, lied to the American people in October of 2020,
00:23:40.460 right before the presidential election.
00:23:43.920 They all lied to the American people.
00:23:47.200 And now the Biden DOJ has admitted it was a lie.
00:23:50.200 And DOJ knew it was a lie then.
00:23:53.380 And they were perfectly happy with that lie being told to the American people.
00:23:57.080 Well, and let's play the liar in chief.
00:23:58.660 This is the then candidate Joe Biden at a presidential debate,
00:24:03.560 standing next to Donald Trump.
00:24:05.260 And I'll start with this lie.
00:24:07.020 And then you can hear him throughout that entire campaign cycle.
00:24:09.920 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what this he's accusing me of is a Russian plant.
00:24:18.200 They have said that this is has all the care for five former heads of the CIA.
00:24:23.720 Both parties say what he's saying is a bunch of garbage.
00:24:26.920 This is classic Trump.
00:24:29.060 We have four days left and all of a sudden there's a laptop.
00:24:31.980 There's overwhelming evidence that from the intelligence community that the Russians are engaged.
00:24:37.320 I still think that the stories from the fall about your son, Hunter,
00:24:42.340 were Russian disengagement as a smear campaign like you said.
00:24:46.260 Yes, yes, yes.
00:24:47.840 I know you'd ask it.
00:24:49.060 I have no response.
00:24:50.120 It's another smear campaign.
00:24:51.120 It's a last ditch effort in this desperate campaign to smear me and my family.
00:24:55.520 The vast majority of the intelligence people have come out and said there's no basis at all.
00:25:01.220 No basis at all.
00:25:02.860 Turns out he was lying the entire time.
00:25:05.520 By the way, he knew it was the laptop of his son.
00:25:07.820 He knew it wasn't Russian disinformation.
00:25:09.980 And Hunter did too.
00:25:10.780 And Hunter did too.
00:25:11.800 And the DOJ knew it as well.
00:25:13.260 And the FBI knew as well.
00:25:14.420 At this point, Senator, how do you trust anything coming out of this FBI and this DOJ if this is what they're doing in the process?
00:25:24.360 You can't.
00:25:25.380 They've demonstrated that they're willing to be partisans.
00:25:27.860 They're willing to lie to the American people.
00:25:29.700 And they don't feel they have any obligation to the truth.
00:25:32.680 I mean, this does enormous damage to the Department of Justice, the FBI,
00:25:36.980 because they knew as a fact that what Biden was saying, that what was being said public, was a total lie.
00:25:44.120 And by the way, the 50, quote, intelligence professionals, you know who organized that group?
00:25:50.600 Who was that?
00:25:51.980 Tony Blinken.
00:25:53.300 And that's what Tony Blinken's job was then.
00:25:55.760 He was working for the Biden campaign.
00:25:58.540 He was working for the Biden campaign.
00:26:00.020 And he got rewarded, I've got to say, as a president, about the biggest plum you have to offer is Secretary of State is the most prestigious cabinet position.
00:26:10.200 And for the job of organizing all these intelligence officials to lie.
00:26:14.920 Every one of these 50, by the way, a reporter, if there's any honest reporter in America, they ought to ask every one of these 50.
00:26:21.980 You lied to the American people weeks before a presidential election.
00:26:25.300 Are you embarrassed?
00:26:26.720 Do you apologize to the American people?
00:26:28.720 What did you do wrong to cause you to lie to the American people?
00:26:33.380 Did you abuse their trust?
00:26:35.140 Are you ashamed of your role?
00:26:37.420 Now, I don't think there'll be a single reporter that asks them that because the corporate media participated in the lies as well.
00:26:43.700 They're not embarrassed.
00:26:44.700 They're not ashamed.
00:26:45.680 And they're certainly not going to ask the liars who participated in what is.
00:26:50.280 You want to talk about election interference?
00:26:52.220 This is blatant election interference.
00:26:55.480 Not only that, but it brings up a new lie.
00:26:57.340 It's one that Representative James Comer was talking about on Hannity.
00:27:01.460 He had this to say about the new lie from Joe Biden and the Biden crime family about the art that his son was selling.
00:27:09.260 Take a listen.
00:27:10.360 Let me ask you about the other two issues, the stories that John Solomon was reporting on.
00:27:14.700 One is the art dealer and the testimony that was given.
00:27:18.540 Were we not told that they had an ethics agreement, that Hunter would not know the people that purchased his art?
00:27:24.680 Now we know that Joe Biden, the big guy himself, was speaking to the art dealer directly.
00:27:31.700 That was testimony, apparently, that you received.
00:27:34.440 And, you know, what do you have to say about the cocaine that the FBI knew about in 2018 as it relates to his gun holster?
00:27:41.960 We have only about a minute left.
00:27:43.320 This is a this is another major lie that Joe Biden's told the American people.
00:27:48.600 The White House said they had an agreement in place to provide maximum ethics.
00:27:54.380 We really thought they probably had something in place.
00:27:56.580 It probably wasn't worth the paper that it was written on.
00:27:59.200 But we were shocked to learn from George Burgess in the transcribed interview that he's never even heard from anyone from the White House.
00:28:05.720 He didn't know anything about an ethics agreement.
00:28:07.820 He had never even seen in the news where there was an ethics agreement.
00:28:10.880 So, you know, again, another lie by Joe Biden, another lie by the White House.
00:28:15.640 Nothing is panning out that Joe Biden said with respect to his family's shady business schemes.
00:28:20.680 We're going to bring Hunter Biden in.
00:28:22.160 We're going to get answers from from all of these people.
00:28:24.800 They're going to get answers from all these people.
00:28:27.260 These are just some of the questions they're going to get to ask.
00:28:30.460 In theory, if he shows up, Hunter Biden.
00:28:33.080 And I got to imagine that if you're, you know, any one of these Republican congressmen are women that may get to ask him questions or James Comer, Jim Jordan.
00:28:43.720 You've got to be chomping at the bit to get answers.
00:28:47.120 Well, I got to say, we're really in an unusual moment of time.
00:28:50.620 Listen, politicians are not known for tremendous honesty, to put it mildly.
00:28:57.360 But as a general matter, presidents of the United States do not routinely lie to the American people.
00:29:04.300 And I'm not suggesting that's because all of our presidents have been paragons of integrity.
00:29:09.360 I think there have been presidents that would certainly have been willing to lie.
00:29:13.460 But the reason presidents typically don't commit direct lies to the American people is they get caught.
00:29:20.280 And when they get caught, it undermines their credibility and it hurts you.
00:29:23.700 And most politicians, even if they're venal and self-serving, they don't want to get caught in a lie because it hurts their credibility.
00:29:31.540 The Biden presidency has been unique in the history of our country.
00:29:36.240 With the willingness of Joe Biden and every person who works for him to lie on a daily basis over and over and over again and not not spin.
00:29:48.880 Look, everyone spins.
00:29:49.900 I don't fault a White House Democrat or Republican for spinning, for trying to put a good twist on the facts.
00:29:57.440 But straight out lies, things that are demonstrably absolutely false.
00:30:01.360 What you just played, Joe Biden saying this laptop is Russian disinformation.
00:30:05.020 He knew it was his son's laptop.
00:30:07.120 His son knew it was his son's laptop.
00:30:08.660 It was his son's laptop.
00:30:10.180 It was a flat out lie.
00:30:11.260 There's not that that's not a matter of perspective.
00:30:14.060 That's just blatantly false.
00:30:17.320 Why is it that Joe Biden, unique among presidents, lies on on seemingly a daily basis to the American people?
00:30:25.660 And the reason is because the American corporate media is broken.
00:30:31.440 You want to know who's responsible for Biden's lying?
00:30:34.800 Jake Tapper.
00:30:35.840 And you and I have talked about in my last book that just came out a couple of months ago, Unwoke, How to Defeat Cultural Marxism in America.
00:30:44.640 I have an entire chapter.
00:30:46.100 I talk about the leftist takeover of major institutions.
00:30:48.760 I have an entire chapter on journalism.
00:30:50.860 And I talk about how Jake Tapper used to be a journalist.
00:30:54.340 He used to care about truth.
00:30:56.040 And then Trump broke him.
00:30:57.880 And he is now a propagandist.
00:31:00.440 He is a shell of his former self.
00:31:02.660 You know Jake Tapper.
00:31:03.640 You worked for years for CNN.
00:31:06.060 Jake Tapper knows that Biden is lying on a daily basis.
00:31:09.620 And you know what Jake Tapper doesn't do?
00:31:11.020 He doesn't call him out.
00:31:12.020 And the fact that Jake Tapper behaves like a cheerleader and Praetorian guard for the White House, like a propagandist for the White House, like Pravda for the White House, it makes the White House more and more likely to lie because they know they will not get caught anywhere other than Fox News and right-wing media.
00:31:35.660 And they don't care what they say.
00:31:36.740 As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
