00:03:41.200 Welcome. It is Burdick with Senator Ted Cruz. Senator, let's just start off by saying you
00:03:45.380 have a huge IQ advantage today. I am on one hour sleep, horse voice. That means Ole Miss Rebels
00:03:51.700 won the greatest day of my life. It was incredible, but you are going to be superior for the next
00:03:57.600 whatever minutes we do this show. And I feel good about that. I just wanted to start with that.
00:04:02.180 So Ben, were there any college football games this weekend? Did anything happen?
00:04:06.320 There was only one that mattered. There was no other games.
00:04:09.740 so walk us through you were there uh so i was there and you got to warmly welcome lane kiffin
00:04:17.760 back to mississippi with with gentle embrace yes with gentle embrace if you watch game day you know
00:04:24.240 how gentle that embrace was from the students at old miss it was incredible and there's something
00:04:29.160 that it's fun so if you go to old miss if you've ever seen it they do the walk of champions at the
00:04:34.640 beginning of the game now i've never in my whole life done the walk of champions i've watched it
00:04:39.160 ton but it's where the players come through the coaches come through and you walk all the way
00:04:43.900 from the student union all the way through the grove all the way to the stadium and so a buddy
00:04:48.520 of mine uh mike wallace was getting inducted to the hall of fame at ole miss he played in the league
00:04:52.240 for 10 11 years in the nfl and uh he said ferguson i'm gonna get inducted you gotta go it's like i'm
00:04:58.000 in i'll go so i get there and they're like they we're getting there and he's gonna do the walk
00:05:02.000 of champions with the team because he's the big alum they look at me and one of the guys like
00:05:05.220 he's like first you want to do it too i was like i absolutely will do the walk of champions
00:05:09.380 So I got to do the Walk of Champions as well.
00:05:11.360 So I have video, and I'm like, I mean, I'm seeing the kids.
00:05:14.280 It was amazing.
00:05:15.300 Then we got in the stadium before anyone else,
00:05:17.940 and we got to play football on the field.
00:05:19.800 So I'm throwing with Mike, and we're getting to play on the field,
00:05:24.660 and he was like, see if you can catch me.
00:05:26.320 And that video makes me look very, very, very slow.
00:05:29.500 And then all these other famous Ole Miss players are there.
00:05:33.800 They're throwing the ball.
00:05:34.940 So it's like our most Dex McCluster.
00:05:36.860 I mean, it was all these famous guys that played there,
00:05:39.200 and it was just one of those.
00:05:40.260 It was probably the coolest day of my, when you love a team,
00:05:43.240 that is like the best day ever.
00:05:44.540 And then I got to stay on the sideline the entire game.
00:05:46.880 Oh, you were on the sideline for the game.
00:05:48.340 I didn't know that.
00:05:49.060 The whole game.
00:05:50.160 Wow.
00:05:50.220 So the entire game, and he got out there at one of the stops in the game,
00:05:55.180 and they played the highlight video and everything.
00:05:57.440 And so we were there the entire time on the sideline,
00:06:00.340 and I got to be on the field when we won.
00:06:02.480 And then when we got the touchdown in our end zone,
00:06:04.260 I was like four feet from the ball.
00:06:05.820 So my phone blows up because people that are watching on ABC, they see me like losing by the end zone.
00:06:11.100 So it was like it was like the best day.
00:06:13.100 Everybody was like, Ben, like you're all over TV right now, which was like, it's so funny.
00:06:17.340 You and I do TV and that's like normal.
00:06:18.900 No one really texts, you know, when you're on Fox.
00:06:21.040 But if you're on the end zone in the corner at the LSU Ole Miss game, your phone lights up.
00:06:26.080 So it was it was the best day ever.
00:06:28.180 And it was fireworks and everything.
00:06:29.980 And Elaine Kiffin, when LSU came out, I have never heard a more extreme scream of booing in my entire life.
00:06:38.880 And I enjoyed every – I was like, insert this directly in my veins.
00:06:42.040 And I have – as you can hear my voice.
00:06:44.060 Last night, I didn't get home last night.
00:06:47.040 There was so many people there.
00:06:49.160 It took me an hour to get off campus.
00:06:51.580 It took me another two hours to get home.
00:06:53.040 So I got to my parents' house at 3.20 in the morning.
00:06:55.580 My flight, I had to be there at 5 a.m.
00:06:57.460 So I took a 45-minute nap.
00:06:59.160 Well, and I will say, you very kindly invited me to come to the game.
00:07:03.700 You would have been on the field.
00:07:05.240 And I didn't go.
00:07:06.660 And my reason frustrated you.
00:07:08.680 I said, I really don't care.
00:07:10.180 I don't care who wins.
00:07:11.600 Like, I don't dislike either team, Ole Miss, LSU.
00:07:15.900 They're both fine.
00:07:16.720 Neither one's Texas.
00:07:18.000 Like, they're good teams.
00:07:18.980 It's great.
00:07:19.860 But I will say, the Lane Kiffin drama, the intensity that you care about it.
00:07:27.920 Yes.
00:07:28.220 Yes.
00:07:28.700 So I guess on average, if I'm neutral and you care with every molecule in your body,
00:07:35.480 on average, this show is pretty far on the Mississippi side of that.
00:07:40.480 Yes.
00:07:41.340 Yes.
00:07:41.940 Yes, for sure.
00:07:42.800 And I will say, I know you saw the ad that Morgan Freeman cut going after Lane Kiffin.
00:07:52.980 And it is obscene, so we're not going to play it because I'm also not going to give LSU grief.
00:07:57.380 but I did text it to you and and and I think like it it it made your your century oh it did I sent
00:08:05.140 it immediately because I had not seen it yet and I said to like everybody in the blank Lane Kiffin
00:08:10.680 text group that had like seven text groups going all of them were like not g-rated like group chats
00:08:16.120 which made it even more fun and then and the best part was all the former players that came in that
00:08:22.360 made it to the NFL they were screaming on the sidelines they were losing their mind they were
00:08:27.320 saying this the best game of college football they've ever been to period and they played
00:08:30.800 in SEC championship games it just had a different feel to it uh and when and when the loudest pop
00:08:37.640 of noise in my entire life was the end zone interception the very end of the game I've never
00:08:42.340 heard human voices do that at that level and it was almost like you were shocked when it happened
00:08:47.800 because it got so loud in there it was it was incredible look and I'll say that's that's what
00:08:51.760 makes college sports so amazing is the emotions the the the in this case the revenge the the like
00:08:58.900 the drama i mean it it's drama that that that really makes a difference um i i will say this
00:09:05.360 coming week the senate is going to pass the protect college sports act and they're not one
00:09:10.220 but two provisions that that your good friend coach kiffin is is directly responsible for there
00:09:16.080 There's one that we actually call the Lane Kiffin provision that will make it prohibited for any program to recruit a coach from an opposing team during the season or during the playoffs.
00:09:28.220 That's the NFL's rule, that you can only do that during the offseason, not during the season, because it wasn't fair to the Ole Miss players to have their coach leave while they're still playing.
00:09:38.920 That's just not right. And so that's going to be the rule now that, yes, you can go recruit coaches, but you can only do it during the offseason so that the players can stay with their coach during the season and the playoffs.
00:09:51.020 And then secondly, there's an explicit prohibition on professional players playing in the league. And obviously, LSU tested that to right to the edge. And I think LSU was on the verge of being voted out of the SEC for it and then finally backed back down.
00:10:07.600 But both of those provisions, I mean, it was everything I was hearing is that the votes were there.
00:10:14.080 And look, I wouldn't want to see LSU out of the SEC because they're a good team.
00:10:17.280 And and I like the SEC to be strong and have great rivalries.
00:10:20.640 But boy, their their competitors were ticked off.
00:10:23.480 And by the way, Senator, I don't know if this happens to you when you're out and about, but it makes me laugh.
00:10:28.060 So I think people and I love the listeners of the show.
00:10:30.960 So as I'm walking on the on the on the you know, I'm filming and I'm walking the walk of champions.
00:10:37.600 there are people that yell at me and they're like, Ferguson, where's Ted?
00:10:41.360 Where's Cruz?
00:10:42.400 And I'm like, I think they think you and I just spend 24 hours a day together.
00:10:46.480 But even at the game, as I'm on the sideline,
00:10:49.440 like people in the admin at the university, others are walking up.
00:10:52.400 There's some sports casters guys.
00:10:54.160 And then the guys from Ole Miss, they're like, man, we saw your –
00:10:58.080 they're like, we saw your boy last week in Texas.
00:11:00.540 I was like, I know.
00:11:01.500 I heard about that.
00:11:02.680 And they laughed and they were like –
00:11:04.420 But it's funny because I think people think that you and I just hang out 24-7,
00:11:07.680 which is really funny.
00:11:08.620 So to all the listeners out there in Oxford, for the game that were yelling,
00:11:12.740 I may not have seen you directly, but I laughed and waved.
00:11:16.100 And it was really, really cool to see that as well.
00:11:18.460 It was fun.
00:11:19.380 Well, I was cheering for your joy in absentia.
00:11:22.360 And I will say, by the way, this weekend also was released a brand new ad
00:11:27.320 for the Protect College Sports Act.
00:11:28.860 We played on an earlier pod the Deion Sanders ad,
00:11:31.900 which was fantastic and ran a week ago.
00:11:34.280 The latest one has Matthew McConaughey, which I asked if he would cut that ad, and he agreed to do it.
00:11:40.160 And so that aired across the country on college games this weekend.
00:11:44.020 Yeah, it was awesome.
00:11:45.060 We're going to play that for you in just a moment.
00:11:46.680 Before we talk about that, though, I got to tell you, there is an incredible university, and it's called Regent University.
00:11:54.040 And I have been associated with them, gosh, for 20-something years.
00:11:58.040 And somewhere along the way, we got the idea that a serious education and a strong Christian faith have to live in two different worlds.
00:12:05.800 Well, they don't. At Regent University, faith isn't an afterthought.
00:12:09.740 It's at the heart of the education.
00:12:12.180 Students are challenged to think deeply, pursue excellence, and see their education through a Christian worldview.
00:12:18.920 And to make no mistake, Regent is serious about academics.
00:12:22.340 with more than 150 areas of study.
00:12:25.780 Region has earned national recognition for academic excellence
00:12:28.860 because a great education shouldn't just prepare you to make a living.
00:12:32.720 It should prepare you to make a difference in the world,
00:12:35.380 to lead with integrity and use your God-given talents with purpose.
00:12:39.880 And here's the great part.
00:12:41.220 You can get that same region education online.
00:12:45.720 Learn from wherever you are at a schedule that works around your career
00:12:49.960 and your family without compromising your education or your faith.
00:12:54.560 They have exceptional academics, flexible online learning,
00:12:58.240 and they're unapologetically Christian.
00:13:00.780 So learn more at regent.edu.
00:13:03.960 That's regent.edu, Regent University Christian Leadership to Change the World.
00:13:10.160 All right, let's play this awesome commercial that came out,
00:13:13.020 Matthew McConaughey, iconic voice.
00:13:15.400 As soon as you hear his voice, it always makes me smile.
00:13:17.660 And this is the new ad that played during college football games this weekend.
00:13:21.260 It's the game day spirit.
00:13:23.500 The rivalries passed down.
00:13:25.620 The traditions that bring us all together.
00:13:28.360 College sports is uniquely American.
00:13:31.060 And that's why every major conference, the NCAA, Team USA,
00:13:34.640 and universities across the country support the bipartisan Protect College Sports Act.
00:13:40.080 It's one set of rules.
00:13:41.240 Real benefits for our student-athletes.
00:13:43.900 And no team gets left behind.
00:13:46.520 America, we created magic.
00:13:48.800 Now it's up to us to preserve it.
00:13:52.340 Senator, this really does seem to be getting a lot of momentum.
00:13:55.880 It's a lot of people are talking about.
00:13:57.500 I mean, great, I was at a college football game.
00:13:59.080 But if I had one conversation about this yesterday, I had 150 conversations about it.
00:14:04.600 And it wasn't even just the bill.
00:14:05.880 It's just NIL.
00:14:06.780 It's Lane Kiffin.
00:14:07.200 When he left, it was all of these things.
00:14:09.580 So there's a lot of people, I think, paying attention now.
00:14:12.380 Where is this bill now?
00:14:13.540 And what do you expect this week in Washington, D.C.?
00:14:15.920 Well, right before we left, we got 78 votes for it. We only need 60, but I said from the beginning
00:14:21.380 my goal was to get a lot more than 60, to really run up the score with a big bipartisan vote. We're
00:14:27.080 up to 78. There will be a couple more votes this week, but we'll be finished with the bill this
00:14:32.800 week in the Senate. We'll get it voted off the floor. It's going to be a big, big bipartisan
00:14:36.980 vote. And then the next question, once we get it off the floor of the Senate, is if the House
00:14:42.740 will come back and pass it. What I believe should happen, the House has recessed until election day.
00:14:48.500 All the House members are out campaigning. Once the Senate passes it this week, what I would like
00:14:53.160 to see is the Speaker call the House back to pass this bill and put it on the President's desk
00:14:58.980 so the President is eager to sign it. President Trump wants to sign it. I've urged the President
00:15:04.600 to sign it on the set of College Game Day, do it at a big game, and do it going into the election.
00:15:11.920 So that's my hope, is that the House will come back and do it before the election.
00:15:15.840 But once we get done with it in the Senate, that's the next step, is for the House to come back.
00:15:20.300 That's interesting.
00:15:21.060 And by the way, for people that don't know, you mentioned something that they're in recess with the election.
00:15:25.020 Is that a traditional timeline, or is it a little different this time?
00:15:28.540 That actually is traditional that you're out during October.
00:15:32.420 They're out a little bit earlier in the House than they usually are.
00:15:35.060 It's a very small majority, and so they're having a hard time keeping the majority together.
00:15:39.360 But it is typical. And the word recess, a lot of times people have a, you know, they think of playtime at school. Look, for every House member, this is the sprint, the final month to Election Day. So they're working harder than they do in session because they're out campaigning and on the campaign trail.
00:15:56.340 And so recess just means you're not in session in D.C., but in the sprint in the House, every one of the 435 members is on the ballot, so they're all presumably campaigning, although not all of them have competitive races, so some of them may not be burning the midnight oil.
00:16:12.720 in the Senate, a third of us are on the ballot. Every two years, a third of the senators are on
00:16:17.040 the ballot. So I'm not on the ballot this time, but the Senate will be out the month of October
00:16:23.000 and I'll spend a good chunk of the month of October. I'll basically be raising money and
00:16:26.920 or campaigning for my colleagues for the month of October because I very much, I'm going to do
00:16:31.720 everything possible to try and help us keep the Senate and keep the House. Yeah. By the way,
00:16:37.000 It's very interesting to see now where the politics are going on one specific race that
00:16:42.280 everyone's talking about, and that is the El Saeed race.
00:16:46.280 Hassan Piker connected to him does seem to be doing damage and just some of the most
00:16:51.280 extreme radical things that we've ever seen from a Democratic surrogate that they backed
00:16:55.160 and protected for months on end.
00:16:57.720 And now what we're witnessing is the leadership in the Democratic Party out of D.C., they
00:17:03.380 seem to be wanting to distance themselves, not from just Piker, but actually from El
00:17:08.400 Said, is there a chance now that this is a political strategy where they say, all right, 0.61
00:17:14.260 maybe we just take our hand off this one Senate race because we could do so much damage to 0.81
00:17:18.800 other races around the country.
00:17:20.600 If we lose this one, maybe we save more of the other ones, because I have not seen this
00:17:25.760 big of a flip from leadership in a long time.
00:17:28.780 You know, my short answer on that is no.
00:17:31.640 I don't think I'm intrigued.
00:17:33.380 I don't think the Democrats are going to abandon El Saeed. I don't think they care. I don't think he can be too extreme for them. Chuck Schumer doesn't care. They don't care. They're just pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into the race. He's embracing El Saeed. He doesn't seem to care at all that El Saeed is embracing Hassan Piker.
00:17:51.780 I think you will see individual Democrats try to CYA, try to cover their own rear end.
00:17:57.100 So, for example, give a listen right now to Cory Booker this weekend trying to run away.
00:18:05.040 But let me be clear, Cory is running away on his own behalf, not on behalf of his party.
00:18:09.200 But, Senator, you see there in our poll, socialism is viewed even more negatively, as I said, than the MAGA movement.
00:18:16.740 President Trump is trying to paint progressives and frankly, all Democrats as socialists.
00:18:22.800 And we're seeing one of the big battles play out for progressivism in Michigan right now
00:18:29.240 with Abdul Al-Sayed, the candidate there, who did tell me he was a capitalist, by the way.
00:18:34.320 But do you think Democrats are drawing a firm enough line between themselves and socialism?
00:18:41.320 Again, this is really what the Republicans want to do, focus on a few fringe people.
00:18:46.740 I serve in the United States Senate, and I can go through my colleagues left and right.
00:18:51.760 I love that little pivot there, Senator, where he's like, well, you know, I serve in the da-da-da.
00:18:57.380 But this goes back to that core issue of socialism, which she did bring up by name on Meet the Press.
00:19:04.600 Yeah, look, I don't think Democrat leadership is running away from Al-Sayed.
00:19:09.560 They want him to win. They're putting money behind him.
00:19:11.900 I think that's entirely Booker.
00:19:13.600 Cory Booker is running for president.
00:19:15.220 So he was trying to create a little space. But of course, you know, Kristen Welker didn't press back on that. So wait a second, Senator, you're saying Abdul Al-Sayed is fringe. Well, why is Chuck Schumer and the Democrat Senatorial Committee supporting him and spending tens of millions of dollars? She didn't ask that.
00:19:33.520 She didn't ask the obvious follow-up. Is Comrade Mondami fringe? He's the mayor of the largest city in the country and right now I think the most powerful Democrat in the country. Is AOC fringe? She is one of the top three polling presidential contenders right now in the Democrat Party. By the way, she's polling a lot better than you are, Senator Booker. She didn't ask him that.
00:19:54.360 What about Ilhan Omar? Is she fringe? What about the three explicit socialists who beat Democrats in primaries in Manhattan? What about the explicit socialists that is the Democrat nominee in Florida for Senate? What about the explicit socialists that is the Democrat nominee in Oklahoma for Senate?
00:20:13.460 What about the explicit socialist who won the Democrat primary in Colorado?
00:20:19.460 That actually, and by the way, that's the kind of reception Republicans get when we go on those Sunday shows.
00:20:24.480 I guarantee you they would have gone down that list if it were the case on the other side.
00:20:29.260 But instead, what does she say?
00:20:32.020 Oh, well, El Saeed told me he's a capitalist.
00:20:36.080 Like she just repeats the Democrat talking point and lets Booker pretend there's some daylight.
00:20:43.200 Look, let's be clear. The only candidate we've seen the Democrats run away from was Graham Plattner. And they didn't run away when he said he was a communist. They didn't run away when he was repeatedly caught saying racist things. They didn't run away when he was repeatedly caught saying misogynist things. They didn't run away when he had a Nazi tattoo on his chest, a Totenkopf, which is the symbol of the SS and the death camps.
00:21:07.160 Cory Booker didn't run away from him.
00:21:08.560 He was happy to embrace the Nazi. 0.70
00:21:10.740 The only instance in which they ran away from him is when he started losing. 0.84
00:21:16.580 And once he started losing, once he was down in the polls, boom, they ran like crazy.
00:21:21.580 They took him out, left him in a back alley, and found another communist to drop in there,
00:21:26.060 who's every bit as radical but didn't happen to get the tattoo.
00:21:30.440 That's, look, if El Saeed was suddenly losing by a large margin.
00:21:35.560 They'd get rid of him.
00:21:36.600 well, they actually don't have time to get rid of him anymore, so they couldn't, but they would if
00:21:40.760 they could. And interestingly enough, you don't see Booker running away from James Tallarica,
00:21:46.200 who's every bit as radical as El Saeed and who is caught on tape saying he wants to, quote,
00:21:52.420 dismantle capitalism. Remember when I did Caitlin Collins, she argued with me. No, no, no. He told
00:21:58.240 me he's all for capitalism. Really, Caitlin, what do you think is accurate? The lie that he tells
00:22:03.460 the voter a month before the election, or what he actually tells the activist for years that he
00:22:08.400 wants to do. And there's a reason. In my speech to the convention, I went through Abdul Al-Sayed.
00:22:17.500 Yeah. I went through Mondami. I went through Tallarico. And I went through Hassan Piker. 0.99
00:22:22.940 And I said, when Hassan Piker says America deserved 9-11, he means it.
00:22:32.260 When Mondami says he wants to seize the means of production, word for word quoting from the Communist Manifesto, he means it.
00:22:40.880 When James Tallarico says he wants to dismantle capitalism, he means it.
00:22:46.520 and when Abdul al-Sayed says he has a quote obligation to follow Sharia law he means it and
00:22:53.780 the press is desperately trying to cover him up and by the way uh to show you give a listen here
00:22:58.980 to J.B. Pritzker who is not running away from al-Sayed because he wants to run for president too
00:23:03.380 and as a billionaire I think he intends to write his own check but give a listen to what he has
00:23:08.000 said when asked about these same radicals. Yeah and before we play that for you I do want to tell
00:23:12.440 you about compassion international and so many of you have gotten in uh to help children that are
00:23:18.040 in need right now somewhere in the world there's a child waiting not waiting for a birthday not
00:23:23.120 waiting for christmas waiting for someone to choose them that is what compassion international
00:23:28.840 does every single day they connect children living in poverty with someone who will know their name
00:23:34.640 pray for them encourage them and help provide the food medical care education and the hope they need
00:23:41.340 through and this is the most important part a local church now this year compassion is expanding
00:23:47.100 into four new countries malawi zambia cambodia and miramar meaning there are thousands of children
00:23:53.880 that are being reached for the very first time now you can do exactly what i do and that is
00:23:58.760 sponsored child for just 43 a month and you can be the reason one child stops waiting so if you
00:24:06.300 want to sponsor child today you can do it at compassion.com that's compassion.com all right
00:24:14.280 take a listen jd pritzker as you mentioned on abc this week i also want to ask you about uh this guy
00:24:20.220 hassan piker who's gotten so much attention he's out with more interviews this week he's saying
00:24:24.220 suggesting that it would be better if iran had a nuclear weapon if i if i have that correct uh that
00:24:29.900 america's bigger terrorist force than al-qaeda is it time for democrats just to say point blank
00:24:35.900 this guy you know we don't we have nothing to do with this guy we denounce this guy and don't want
00:24:40.820 his support you know i'm not focused on the streamers and what they're saying there's a
00:24:45.380 whole lot of them and they got a whole lot of views he's got a pretty big following and i
00:24:49.140 understand that i'm just saying that what what i think we should be talking about and focused on is
00:24:54.220 how do we stop donald trump in his tracks how do we make sure that we're putting forward an agenda
00:24:59.220 that really fights for the people who need it which are the most vulnerable the workers you
00:25:04.220 know in the middle class who really need someone to stand up for them that's why i'm a democrat
00:25:07.980 that's why the democratic party exists that's what we should be focused on i mean i don't think he's
00:25:12.200 going to endorse you but would you accept his support you know again i'm not focused i don't
00:25:16.020 even want to talk about it hassan piker doesn't mean anything to me or in my election doesn't
00:25:21.580 mean anything to my election that's one heck of a way of describing it and throwing someone under
00:25:26.680 the bus there right well look he he spoke accurately when he says he doesn't want to
00:25:33.200 talk about him. He really doesn't want to talk about him. But, you know, Jonathan Carl doesn't
00:25:38.000 press him at all. I mean, these powderpuff interviews, I can't imagine what it's like
00:25:42.720 to be a Democrat and just have all of these reporters basically acting like your press
00:25:48.600 secretary. You know, he doesn't press him. Well, I get that you don't want to talk about him,
00:25:52.500 but are you troubled that your party's nominee in Michigan is campaigning alongside him,
00:25:58.420 welcomes him? Look, without Hassan Pike or Abdul Al-Sayed probably doesn't win the nomination.
00:26:03.200 And he's, I'll say it repeatedly refuses to distance himself.
00:26:07.540 And by the way, I'll say it's said many of the same things.
00:26:09.820 Do you support him?
00:26:10.940 Are you troubled that Chuck Schumer is supporting him?
00:26:13.460 Those would be the questions that would be asked of a Republican if the tables were turned.
00:26:18.200 But, you know, from Pritzker's perspective, and this is true of every Democrat,
00:26:22.920 they welcome these America-hating radicals, or at least they lack the courage to stand up to him.
00:26:30.240 because you notice there was not one word of, I disagree with him, he's wrong, saying America
00:26:36.820 deserves 9-11, that's wrong. Pritzker didn't say any of that. He's like, I don't know, I don't want
00:26:40.780 to talk about that. Please don't ask me about that. I just want to say Trump, orange man bad,
00:26:44.360 orange man bad. That's all I have to say. And by the way, listen to Pritzker continuing a little
00:26:50.760 more on how the only thing he wants to talk about is his hatred for Trump. I mean, a lot of the
00:26:56.340 energy in the Democratic Party right now is clearly on the left, far left. I mean,
00:27:00.720 Democratic Socialists of America, DSA, you've had a number of their candidates winning in these
00:27:06.080 Democratic primaries. Are you concerned about that, that that's like a message that may work
00:27:10.180 in primaries in very blue places, but could hurt the party in a general election? Look,
00:27:16.120 there haven't been very many of those, at least DSA candidates who are winning. It's true that
00:27:20.460 there are progressives that are winning around the country. A few, I think those get highlighted
00:27:24.980 too much i will say that look what democrats share in common is that we have a common message the
00:27:31.440 first thing that we're fighting for is against donald trump and the republicans and magas who
00:27:36.780 are raising costs for people i mean it's all maga trump bad everything's bad the economy's bad forget
00:27:43.320 the fact that we talked about this senator last week uh you have the highest medium income in
00:27:48.440 the history of this country and the lowest poverty rate we've ever had in history in this country but
00:27:53.500 everything's bad. Look, that questioning could be shortened to your party is controlled and
00:28:00.460 dominated by lunatics who hate America. Answer, Trump bad, Trump bad, Trump bad. That's all I 1.00
00:28:05.540 have to say is Trump bad. That, sadly, is the current state of the Democrat Party.
00:28:23.500 and 88 fortunes, all with safe, secure, and fast payouts.

00:31:07.200 They would go on to make millions of dollars.

00:31:11.360 Gold bars, silver ingots. It could be worth half a billion.
00:31:14.460 And they would have made more if it hadn't been for one courageous cop.

00:34:53.640 us we've been talking about this for a long time democrats were smart they played the long game
00:35:02.400 they said if we can take over education at every level we can control and change this country
00:35:07.440 literally in a generation we are now witnessing the fruits of their labor and now we understand
00:35:13.360 just how careful parents need to be before they send their kids to colleges you need to look at
00:35:19.320 who they are what they believe in what they're trying to indoctrinate your kids in
00:35:23.060 and what they may come out looking like or being like.
00:35:25.880 And a great example of this happened in a story
00:35:28.800 that should shock every American to their core.
00:35:31.540 Well, a story came out this week about my alma mater, Princeton University.
00:35:35.940 There are roughly 950 full-time faculty members at Princeton.
00:35:41.960 Of those 950, what percent do you think in the years 2023 and 2024
00:35:47.100 contributed to even one single Republican?
00:35:50.980 All right.
00:35:51.200 I'm going to give the number before I read the article.
00:35:54.060 I would have said at least 8% to 10% of the faculty would have given to a Republican.
00:36:00.540 And I'm pretty pessimistic.
00:36:01.880 So that was my number in my head before I read it.
00:36:04.300 Yeah.
00:36:04.520 Look, you were within 8% to 10% of the answer.
00:36:09.140 The answer is zero.
00:36:12.860 Goose egg.
00:36:13.280 Not one.
00:36:13.860 Not a single member of the Princeton faculty.
00:36:16.920 And by the way, if you want to understand why the Democrat Party has gone crazy, why we're seeing a Marxist and Islamist take over of the Democrat Party, in one sentence, the answer to that is that the center of gravity in the Democrat Party has moved from the Union Hall to the University Faculty Lounge.
00:36:37.340 It used to be the Democrat was a blue-collar party. It was union bosses were at the core. 0.71
00:36:44.280 The Democrats have abandoned blue-collar workers. Blue-collar workers now are voting Republican,
00:36:49.780 and today's Democrat party are these woke, blue-haired, transgender witches,
00:36:55.760 and that's who they're listening to, the kind of people who think Hassan Piker is just awesome.
00:37:02.360 And so this article was an article that was written by Jonathan Turley, and I want to read a little bit of it because he really laid into Princeton.
00:37:10.340 It's entitled, The Purge.
00:37:12.420 Princeton faculty reach perfect zero in support for Republicans.
00:37:17.240 We recently discussed how Yale faculty reached academic nirvana after years of purging departments of conservatives and Republicans.
00:37:26.280 The university finally showed zero political donations to Republicans.
00:37:30.880 So Yale got there first, but Princeton, you know, Princeton was happy to catch up.
00:37:35.240 Now Princeton can claim it has succeeded in a similar cleansing, according to a new study by Princetonians for free speech.
00:37:43.780 The study shows that 98% of political donations went to Democrats or Democrat-affiliated groups,
00:37:49.360 and 0% went to Republicans or affiliated groups.
00:37:53.520 Political contributions are one measure,
00:37:55.800 and the study does not mean that we can assume that the number of academics with conservative
00:38:02.740 or libertarian values is zero. There are obvious outliers such as Robbie George. Robbie was my
00:38:08.600 thesis advisor in college, is a great friend, is a great conservative, and he is the one outspoken
00:38:14.500 conservative on the Princeton faculty. But look, Robbie was teaching when I was there. He's not
00:38:19.140 getting any younger. And when Robbie does retire, it's not clear to me there'll be even one
00:38:25.880 who's willing to speak out in support of conservative values. And, you know, I will
00:38:31.280 tell you, Ben, by the way. All right, so there are 100 senators. How many senators do you think
00:38:35.580 have their undergraduate degree from Princeton? I'm going to guess 23. Much like your other
00:38:43.060 prediction. You were off just a little. You're off by 22. There is one. I am the only Princeton
00:38:50.960 undergraduate graduate who is in the Senate. Okay, got it. I think that one or two have a graduate
00:38:57.640 degree, but none have an undergrad degree. And the simple reality is my alma mater is embarrassed
00:39:06.300 to me. They cannot stand that a conservative somehow escaped there. That's a simple reality.
00:39:16.100 It was actually very funny a few years back, the Princeton Alumni Weekly, which they're really good
00:39:23.100 at sending to all their graduates because they're really effective in chasing down donations. And I've
00:39:27.600 said, I actually am safe from ever being stranded on a desert island because the Princeton alumni
00:39:34.820 folks seeking donations. We'll track you down just to send you the Princeton Alumni Weekly.
00:39:39.760 But they did a listing, this is several years ago, of the 25 most influential Princeton grads.
00:39:47.080 And they had a bunch of left-wing whack jobs on it. They did not include me on the list,
00:39:52.260 which was fine. But what was very funny is in the article, they had a couple of paragraphs
00:39:58.160 explaining, you may have noticed that we left Ted Cruz off the list. Yeah. And they, and they said,
00:40:05.100 well, he could have made this list if he had the courage to stand up and attack Donald Trump.
00:40:12.420 But because he agrees with president Trump, he does not merit this list. Instead, we, we come
00:40:19.120 up with these communists and, and, and by the way, of the 25 quote, most influential half of them,
00:40:24.160 i'd never heard of so i mean it really was a it was a self-parenting list yeah and i sort of laughed
00:40:30.400 that if like you're making a list and have to explain why you left someone off it's probably
00:40:35.320 not a good list that that that does i know but i don't think i've ever said a word about it until
00:40:39.880 now it just made me laugh like when i read the article i just just started laughing that's almost
00:40:44.000 a bigger badge of honor than making the list in my opinion i'd rather have it the way you had it
00:40:48.560 than the other way around it's it's incredible it's it this is what's happening on college campuses
00:40:52.840 when I got and speak now
00:40:55.300 and they asked like advice, kids, you do this
00:40:57.400 all the time and you'll get questions
00:40:59.240 from the audience. I'm like, look at where
00:41:01.340 you're going, what they're
00:41:03.260 going to be teaching you and ask yourself
00:41:05.300 do I need to pay them to
00:41:07.280 indoctrinate me?
00:41:08.720 And let me read a little more of what
00:41:11.160 Turley wrote because it's important.
00:41:13.080 Turley wrote, professors often express shock
00:41:15.360 at the thought that there would be any
00:41:17.320 political or ideological litmus test
00:41:19.280 for hiring. I have also
00:41:21.200 oppose such measures. However, the hypocrisy is crushing. Today's faculty are responsible for a
00:41:28.640 near-complete ideological purging of their ranks. They have created a hostile environment for anyone
00:41:35.780 with conservative or libertarian viewpoints, including students who rarely have the opportunity
00:41:40.880 to hear from a professor from a center-right perspective at most schools. Most recently,
00:41:47.240 40 percent, 4-0, of college faculty admitted they would vote against any Trump supporter
00:41:56.300 seeking an academic position regardless of their scholarship or teaching ability.
00:42:02.080 Keep in mind that this is only the professors willing to admit such bias. Turley continues,
00:42:09.740 Recently, I discussed the example of Fordham University School of Law professor John Pfaff, who called for repercussions, quote unquote repercussions, for professors who do not, quote, recant their view that the 14th Amendment does not protect birthright citizenship.
00:42:32.820 so he's explicitly calling we will punish and by punish i assume he means throw off the faculty
00:42:41.100 anyone who dares disagree with our left-wing ideology that that it is uh uh turley continues
00:42:51.860 not long ago i debated professor randall kennedy at harvard law school about the school's lack of
00:42:56.500 ideological diversity i respect kennedy and i do not view him as anti-free speech or intolerant
00:43:02.000 Yet when I noted the statistics on the vanishing number of conservative students and faculty in comparison to the nation, Kennedy responded that Harvard, quote, is an elite institution, sorry, is an elite university and does not have to, quote, look like America.
00:43:21.440 Wow.
00:43:22.280 Now, by the way, these are the same leftists who want to discriminate based on race because they say it must look like America and, in fact, be overrepresented.
00:43:30.080 But when it comes to ideology, you know, if you must exclude anyone who disagrees from your views, what you're telling everyone is that your views are weak, that they cannot withstand challenge.
00:43:43.860 They cannot withstand contest.
00:43:46.000 Look, I will tell you, I was an open conservative in college.
00:43:48.500 I was an open conservative in law school.
00:43:50.260 In both places, I was in the very distinct minority, but it does make you tougher. It makes you better. You know, my dad joked that I went to Princeton and Harvard and learned to speak liberal. But when you're constantly being attacked, I had, particularly at law school, multiple of my classmates, lots of my professors were open communists.
00:44:09.820 So I have, you know, when we're seeing the communists taking over the Democrat Party, this is not the first time I've seen it because they took over the faculty lounges first.
00:44:21.040 And that is is is having massive consequences for the Democrat Party and sadly for the country.
00:44:28.640 Yeah, no doubt. We'll keep covering it. We'll keep exposing it, especially when we get great information like this.
00:44:33.920 It truly is another example of just how the long game is being played by the radical left,
00:44:39.280 and they're doing it really, really, really, really well.
