Verdict with Ted Cruz - Communists Gather in a Newly-Clean San Francisco plus Even More Corruption Evidence on Joe Biden

00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.

00:00:02.540 Guaranteed human.

00:00:05.280 Welcome.

00:00:06.100 It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.

00:00:09.500 And Senator, let's start with the big news.

00:00:11.700 It is the red carpet welcome to the communists from China, Xi Jinping.

00:00:17.680 He came to America and boy, did we clean up the world for him in San Francisco 1.00

00:00:22.760 and literally gave him a red carpet welcoming.

00:00:25.680 This is the president told Ping, it's time.

00:00:30.240 It's good to see you again.

00:00:32.040 And he also said something else that was incredibly shocking.

00:00:35.520 And I want to get your take on it.

00:00:37.080 He said this at the table at their first meeting.

00:00:39.780 Sitting to his left was Janet Yellen.

00:00:41.820 Sitting to his right was Anthony Blinken at that table.

00:00:45.340 You had John Kerry down at one end as well.

00:00:48.040 It was the full Biden, you know, red carpet welcome.

00:00:51.060 And here's what he said.

00:00:52.080 We also have a responsibility to our people.

00:00:54.540 People and the work in the world to work together when we see it in our interest to do so.

00:01:01.180 Okay.

00:01:02.240 We also have a responsibility to our people and to the world to work together.

00:01:06.940 Is that true?

00:01:08.260 No, of course it's not.

00:01:09.640 And listen, this was a sad meeting.

00:01:13.780 It was a meeting of capitulation.

00:01:15.920 This was by any measure.

00:01:18.040 It was a meeting of the world's most powerful communist and the president of China.

00:01:22.380 You look at the meeting and you see this happening and us rolling out the red carpet for him.

00:01:29.580 Look at the past here.

00:01:32.560 And let's just go through some of these since he's taken office.

00:01:37.600 Biden allowed a Chinese spy balloon to survey our entire country knowing what it was doing, 0.92

00:01:42.760 spying on us and refused to shoot it down until after it already completed its mission.

00:01:47.280 Biden resumed funding for the World Health Organization despite China's significant influence.

00:01:52.860 And then, just to put it in perspective, Biden bought $1.3 billion, not million, but billion dollars in Chinese-made COVID tests

00:02:03.080 and then gave them to Americans on top of the fact that Biden let China build secret spying facilities

00:02:09.800 in nearby countries that could survey America.

00:02:13.500 And that's just the beginning of the list.

00:02:15.900 It's been all for China, nothing to protect America. 0.99

00:02:18.780 Well, listen, there's a fundamental problem, which is Joe Biden and the Democrat Party are structurally pro-China.

00:02:26.300 And the reason for this, and I explained this at length in my brand new book,

00:02:29.880 which is on Amazon right now and bookstores right now, go buy it.

00:02:33.100 But in the book, I explained the reason the Democrat Party is so indebted to China

00:02:39.320 is every one of their major stakeholders, big business, big tech, big Hollywood, big universities.

00:02:46.520 All of them are in bed with China. 0.99

00:02:49.540 And so Joe Biden, Joe Biden has spent literally 50 years in Washington

00:02:54.000 as an apologist for the Chinese communists, defending them, saying,

00:02:59.020 come on, man, they're our friends.

00:03:01.900 They're not our enemies.

00:03:03.260 They're our friends.

00:03:04.300 He's been saying that for 50 years.

00:03:07.480 So look, you mentioned a minute ago, Ben, the Chinese spy balloon.

00:03:11.340 The Chinese spy balloon, number one, we would never have known about that 0.96

00:03:15.060 if some intrepid ranchers in Montana hadn't looked up and seen the damn thing in the sky. 0.97

00:03:20.160 That's the only reason we know about it. 0.97

00:03:21.700 It was literally a couple of guys in Montana that had telescopes that said, what the hell is that?

00:03:27.000 And they tweeted about it. 0.99

00:03:28.580 And suddenly the Biden administration is like, oh, crap. 0.97

00:03:30.800 The Chinese are surveilling our military installations, are engaging in espionage over the United States. 0.99

00:03:38.280 Now, mind you, they didn't shoot it down when it entered U.S. airspace.

00:03:42.420 They allowed it to cross U.S. airspace.

00:03:44.560 They allowed it to hover over U.S. military installations.

00:03:47.800 They allowed it to engage in ongoing espionage and surveillance.

00:03:51.700 And it was only after it had crossed the entire continental United States that it had crossed in the Atlantic Ocean.

00:03:58.340 Then they shot it down after its mission was over, after it had broadcast all of the espionage back to China.

00:04:05.400 Then they shot it down as a PR move. 0.60

00:04:07.740 And then it got really ridiculous.

00:04:09.340 If you remember, the Biden administration proceeded to shoot several other things down,

00:04:13.740 including what appears to be a weather balloon launched by a bunch of high school students in Illinois.

00:04:19.340 So we spent presumably a hundred thousand dollar missile to knock down a hundred dollar balloon.

00:04:29.020 That's the Biden administration.

00:04:30.620 And the reason is, look, this was about politics and PR.

00:04:34.920 It was not about standing up to China.

00:04:36.520 And so when Biden went to San Francisco, he does not have an objective of defending our nation from our most significant enemy.

00:04:46.340 One of the things I discuss in the book on woke is how when I arrived in the Senate 11 years ago,

00:04:52.860 I was arguing then that China poses the greatest geopolitical threat to the United States for the next century, 0.54

00:05:02.060 that this is a massive battle and we need to come together and understand China is waging a thousand year war.

00:05:08.540 They their objective is complete geopolitical domination.

00:05:13.600 And right now, the Biden administration not only is not opposed to that, they're supporting that.

00:05:18.800 They're emphatically in bed with China and we need to get serious. 0.99

00:05:22.140 And by the way, when I got here in 20 in 2013, my view was a wild minority view.

00:05:29.120 All of the Democrats disagreed with me and most of the Republicans disagreed with me.

00:05:35.120 They frankly, they looked at China.

00:05:36.760 They saw nothing but dollar signs as far as the eye could see.

00:05:40.280 They just saw lots and lots of money.

00:05:42.620 And at this point, we have seen China, number one, engage in systematic murder, torture. 0.93

00:05:49.000 They have concentration camps with over one million Uyghurs in slave labor. 0.99

00:05:53.300 However, they engage in espionage, they engage in theft at a global level in a way that's never been happened before.

00:06:00.520 Look, espionage and theft has always been part of human relations,

00:06:03.740 but we've never had a nation state with trillions of dollars of GDP investing in stealing the intellectual property of the United States.

00:06:13.780 That is a new dynamic.

00:06:16.680 And none of that even takes into account China's incredible culpability with the COVID virus. 0.60

00:06:22.460 I believe the overwhelming weight of the evidence suggests that the COVID virus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

00:06:31.080 And I think the majority of the evidence, I don't think it is as compelling, but I think it is more likely than not,

00:06:36.940 that the virus was manufactured by the Chinese government in that lab, 0.96

00:06:41.720 that they took existing coronaviruses, that they modified them using gain-of-function research.

00:06:47.340 They made them more transmissible.

00:06:49.800 They made them more deadly.

00:06:50.840 They made them more dangerous for humans.

00:06:54.160 And then it was released from the Wuhan Institute for Virology.

00:06:58.060 That means, and then after that happened, it is undisputed that China covered it up.

00:07:02.820 They disappeared the whistleblowers.

00:07:04.400 They disappeared the doctors.

00:07:05.560 They hid the break of COVID-19.

00:07:09.060 And on any level, China bears enormous culpability for the millions of deaths that came from COVID, 0.94

00:07:15.040 from the trillions of dollars of economic damage that came from COVID.

00:07:18.740 And you know what? Joe Biden didn't say a damn word about any of that when he sat down with Xi in San Francisco.

00:07:27.460 Yeah. One of the things when he sat down with him is this idea, and you could see it in the Democrats.

00:07:31.720 They were really pushing this idea, Senator, that we needed a grand reset with China.

00:07:36.900 We need to open back up relations where we're talking with them or their military is talking with our military.

00:07:42.480 And this is all about a grand reset.

00:07:46.180 Did we really need a grand reset with China?

00:07:50.080 Look, grand reset is the favorite approach of the Democrats.

00:07:53.700 You'll recall Hillary Clinton, when she was secretary of state, she engaged in a, quote, grand reset with Russia.

00:07:59.780 In fact, she went over and she met with Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, with a big red button.

00:08:05.340 It was very theatrical. But their idea was mean old Republicans viewed Russia as our enemy.

00:08:12.160 We now know Russia is our friend. By the way, remember the debate in 2012.

00:08:16.460 You and I both watched it between Obama and Mitt Romney, where Mitt Romney was saying in 2012 that he saw Russia as an enormous geopolitical threat.

00:08:25.440 You remember what Barack Obama said in response to that?

00:08:27.700 Yeah, he said the Cold War is over. They're calling for the talking points back and calm down.

00:08:34.380 Yeah. He looked at Mitt and he said the 1980s are calling. They want their talking points back.

00:08:38.560 Yeah.

00:08:39.340 And it was this smug liberal sense that Russia is now our friend and we're going to have a grand reset with Russia.

00:08:46.340 Mind you, we're in the middle of frigging war in Ukraine that Biden caused because of his weakness.

00:08:51.140 They now describe Putin as the modern day Hitler. And yet these imbeciles did a grand reset a decade ago. 1.00

00:09:00.320 That's the Democrat Party. So now their grand reset is with China. 1.00

00:09:03.880 And never mind that China is unambiguously hostile to America.

00:09:10.620 They want to defeat America. They want to displace us as the world's economic superpower.

00:09:15.140 They want to displace us militarily. They want to dominate the United States of America.

00:09:19.580 And yet Democrats say that is hunky dory. We are all in with communist China.

00:09:25.520 I want to tell you about Augusta Precious Metals.

00:09:28.900 You may have noticed that gold prices have gone up significantly over the last few weeks.

00:09:34.360 And that is because of uncertainty that's going on around the world, whether it's in the Middle East, whether it's with our debt in this country,

00:09:41.960 Wall Street and how it's reacting, interest rates and inflation.

00:09:45.300 And if you're like me and you've wanted to buy gold for years, there are lots of commercials out there.

00:09:50.920 But who can you really trust? Well, I want to tell you about Augusta Precious Metals.

00:09:55.900 They give you information. They give you knowledge.

00:09:58.340 And they will talk to you about how if you have an IRA or a 401k and you want to buy physical gold and eliminate fear and uncertainty from the process,

00:10:06.980 you can do that with Augusta Precious Metals, with the new gold IRA company integrity checklist.

00:10:14.100 It helps you evaluate and choose the best gold IRA company.

00:10:18.020 Now, I used it personally to vet Augusta Precious Metals and I bought gold from them myself.

00:10:23.400 You can use this checklist to choose the best gold IRA company.

00:10:28.160 So check out Augusta Precious Metals right now.

00:10:31.780 Go online to AugustaPreciousMetals.com or you can get the integrity checklist today by texting the word BEN, that's B-E-N, to 68592.

00:10:43.580 Text the word BEN to 68592.

00:10:47.520 Or you can call them 877, the number 4, gold IRA.

00:10:52.860 That's 877, the number 4, gold IRA or AugustaPreciousMetals.com.

00:10:58.880 Well, let's talk about Ping coming to this country and the symbolism of that.

00:11:04.140 I mean, this was important, I think, for him.

00:11:06.320 He wanted to come here.

00:11:07.840 I'm sure he's laughing in their meetings going, wow, we exported COVID and really hurt financially America.

00:11:17.580 Interest rates are up.

00:11:18.860 We have a lot of their debt.

00:11:20.260 They're paying us even more money.

00:11:21.760 And now we're walking off the plane to this red carpet welcome.

00:11:25.460 What does this do to embolden him, especially on the issue of Taiwan?

00:11:31.900 Look, on Taiwan, Xi has got to feel incredibly encouraged.

00:11:36.700 He looks at Joe Biden.

00:11:38.320 Number one, any enemy of America that sits down with Joe Biden recognizes this man is too old. 0.94

00:11:46.220 His mental capacity is not there.

00:11:48.200 He is not an effective commander in chief. 0.99

00:11:50.460 There is a reason the world has gone to hell in a handbasket.

00:11:55.580 Think about it.

00:11:56.200 Two and a half years ago, Joe Biden came into the White House.

00:11:58.780 He inherited peace and prosperity.

00:12:00.640 The world was in very good shape.

00:12:02.960 We now have two simultaneous wars.

00:12:06.020 We have the biggest war in Europe since World War II and simultaneously the worst war in the Middle East in 50 years.

00:12:12.840 That's what happens when the U.S. commander in chief is weak and ineffective and nobody is afraid of him.

00:12:19.160 Nobody thinks he's credible.

00:12:20.360 Nobody thinks he will follow through on anything.

00:12:22.800 And Xi is looking at that, saying there has never been a better time in the history of the universe for China to invade Taiwan than right now today. 0.95

00:12:31.460 And the fact that Joe Biden welcomed Xi to China and basically bends down and kisses his ass, that, you know, it's something on foreign policy that is counterintuitive, where people think strength, some people in the media, Democrats think strength make it more likely you go to war. 0.95

00:12:53.220 It's actually the exact opposite. 0.99

00:12:56.620 Weakness makes war most likely.

00:12:59.360 I hate war.

00:13:00.640 I am someone who is extremely, extremely reluctant to send U.S. servicemen and women into combat.

00:13:07.460 Yesterday, I had the great privilege.

00:13:09.440 I sat down with about 20, 25 West Point cadets who came to visit me in my office, something I've done several years in a row.

00:13:16.420 And I love meeting with these young men and women who signed up to defend our nation.

00:13:20.600 They're incredible scholars and leaders and athletes.

00:13:23.760 They have character.

00:13:25.160 And we talked.

00:13:26.480 We had a good hour, hour and a half conversation.

00:13:28.680 But we talked about, among other things, foreign policy.

00:13:31.740 And I said, look, I consider myself a non-interventionist talk.

00:13:36.180 I think you should be very reluctant to send U.S. servicemen and women into harm's way.

00:13:43.040 But the way you prevent war is you're strong enough that nobody wants to screw with you.

00:13:49.200 Joe Biden is embodying the opposite of that, which is he is so weak.

00:13:54.360 He's so ineffective that every enemy of America is emboldened.

00:13:58.820 I've joked before.

00:14:00.620 There is a reason nobody studies at the Neville Chamberlain School of Foreign Affairs.

00:14:05.960 Appeasement doesn't work.

00:14:07.840 Just this week, Biden announced billions more for Iran.

00:14:12.660 Iran funds Hamas, trains the Hamas terrorists, sends them into Israel, commits horrific acts of terror. 0.71

00:14:19.480 And what has Biden said?

00:14:20.400 Here, have a few billion more.

00:14:22.200 Yeah.

00:14:23.180 That is truly stunning.

00:14:25.660 And so she is looking at this saying, hey, I don't think she has a tiniest bit of concern about what Biden would do if he invaded Taiwan and China invading Taiwan would be absolutely catastrophic for the U.S. economy and U.S. national security.

00:14:43.580 Because, among other things, we are profoundly dependent upon Taiwan and China for advanced semiconductors.

00:14:53.080 Advanced semiconductors are used in just about every electronics we use, from our cell phones to our cars to our trucks to our planes to our military weapons to missiles.

00:15:03.540 And just about every device of modern life uses advanced semiconductors.

00:15:10.820 And if China invades Taiwan, the U.S. economy and the U.S. military is in a stranglehold to China.

00:15:18.320 And I got to say, every time Biden shows weakness to China, the chances of that go up dramatically.

00:15:25.540 Canadian women are looking for more. 1.00

00:15:27.680 More out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world around them.

00:15:31.700 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.

00:15:35.700 I'm Jennifer Stewart.

00:15:36.820 And I'm Catherine Clark.

00:15:38.040 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women.

00:15:41.720 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey.

00:15:47.540 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.

00:15:50.780 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.

00:15:56.480 Let's talk about the possibility of the Bidens being compromised.

00:16:00.420 If you look at the list, and this list, I do want to go through it because I think it's really important.

00:16:06.860 It doesn't sound like this is a list that a normal president would allow to happen under his watch.

00:16:13.120 I mentioned a few of these earlier, but I want to start at the very beginning again.

00:16:16.820 Biden allowed the Chinese spy balloon to have surveillance over our entire country.

00:16:20.940 He resumed the funding for the World Health Organization, despite China's massive influence.

00:16:27.300 Biden bought $1.3 billion in Chinese-made COVID tests and then gave them to the Americans with our tax dollars.

00:16:35.800 He let China build these secret spying facilities in nearby countries.

00:16:39.640 He reversed in order to limit the Chinese spyware app TikTok.

00:16:44.320 That was honestly shocking.

00:16:46.260 He missed the deadline to declassify intel on the Wuhan lab.

00:16:49.800 And I want to also ask you specifically about that in a moment.

00:16:52.880 So let's put an asterisk by that.

00:16:55.080 Biden also told a room of Democratic donors, don't worry about China.

00:16:58.800 Biden said repeatedly the U.S. does not want to decouple from China.

00:17:02.400 And Biden admitted he doesn't want to contain China either, especially when it comes to the issue of Taiwan.

00:17:08.800 Biden ignored Chinese hackers, breaching the email accounts of senior U.S. government officials

00:17:13.400 and did not basically go after China or warn them in any capacity that wasn't meaningful.

00:17:19.000 And then Biden declared he's not concerned about China yet again.

00:17:22.980 Now, you put all that together under the last two and a half years of this man's presidency,

00:17:28.200 and then you put it side by side with the business dealings of the Biden crime family directly with these people in China

00:17:35.900 and these companies connected to the Chinese Communist Party

00:17:38.680 and those that are even connected to the Chinese intelligence apparatus,

00:17:43.000 the spying apparatus of the Chinese Communist Party.

00:17:47.060 Is some of this actually as simplistic as it looks that, hey, this guy may be compromised by the Chinese? 0.98

00:17:53.960 So, look, I think it's both.

00:17:55.620 There is serious evidence of corruption from Communist China that millions of dollars flowed to Hunter Biden,

00:18:03.580 to Joe Biden, to the Biden crime family.

00:18:06.000 That is an enormous problem, and it does compromise the president, I believe.

00:18:11.000 There also is a second component that, again, millions of dollars flowed to University of Pennsylvania

00:18:16.300 to create the Biden Center there when Biden was there to get a cushy job post-vice presidency.

00:18:22.020 Again, I think that compromises President Biden.

00:18:24.840 But the truth of the matter is, I think he'd do all of this garbage if he hadn't made a penny from China, 0.94

00:18:30.420 because I think ideologically he is pro-China. 0.98

00:18:34.680 I think ideologically he is in bed with China. 0.78

00:18:37.980 And so he is someone who has been wrong on every foreign policy issue of the last 50 years.

00:18:44.580 He's systematically and consistently wrong.

00:18:47.300 When he sees an enemy, his instinct is appease the enemy.

00:18:50.840 When he sees someone who hates America, his instinct is be nice to them, give them what they want.

00:18:56.560 And let me say something else about this meeting in San Francisco.

00:18:59.780 So we're watching Biden meeting with Xi in San Francisco.

00:19:02.520 I got to say, Ben, I am pissed at how they treated this meeting.

00:19:08.580 And in particular, that they cleaned up the San Francisco streets.

00:19:12.500 They cleaned up the homeless people.

00:19:14.580 They cleaned up the criminals.

00:19:16.060 They cleaned up the drug users.

00:19:17.740 So a week ago, the San Francisco public streets were filled with homeless people.

00:19:21.480 They were filled with criminals.

00:19:22.560 They were filled with drug users injecting drugs just sitting in broad daylight. 0.96

00:19:26.480 They were filled with people defecating in the streets.

00:19:31.860 In fact, there's an app in San Francisco called Poop Finder to report human feces on public streets.

00:19:39.600 You literally, by the way, can't make that up.

00:19:41.220 That's unbelievable.

00:19:43.080 It's the bizarre reality we live in.

00:19:45.700 And Democrat politicians have been telling the people of San Francisco for years, there's nothing we can do about it.

00:19:51.240 We can't fix homelessness.

00:19:52.440 We can't fix crime.

00:19:53.340 We can't fix drug use.

00:19:54.600 We are helpless.

00:19:55.700 Well, you know what? 0.96

00:19:57.200 Suddenly, the president of China shows up, and holy crap, they clear all these people off the streets. 1.00

00:20:01.800 They clean up. 1.00

00:20:02.540 They literally clean up the shit. 0.99

00:20:05.460 Like, that is not hyperbole. 1.00

00:20:08.300 They clean up the streets.

00:20:10.740 They make them spick and span.

00:20:12.040 They're sparkling.

00:20:14.260 And I got to say, let me ask you something, Ben.

00:20:17.000 Let's assume you're a San Francisco resident.

00:20:19.240 Let's assume, okay, you live in San Francisco.

00:20:21.720 So you're a lefty.

00:20:22.500 You're a liberal Democrat.

00:20:23.340 But you've been living with this crime, this homelessness, this drug use.

00:20:29.860 Your kids have been watching this filth.

00:20:33.320 And you've been told, we can't fix it, we can't fix it, we can't fix it.

00:20:37.500 And then suddenly, the head of the Communist Party of China shows up, and boom, it's all magically fixed.

00:20:43.620 How would you not be pissed off?

00:20:47.000 Why exactly is it that the Democrats will do this for Xi out of China but will not do it for the Americans who live in San Francisco?

00:20:56.000 What does this say about the broken policies, the woke policies of the radical left, how it all is a crock?

00:21:04.840 They know how to fix these things.

00:21:06.300 They're just not willing to.

00:21:08.160 And they can fix it in a matter of days, by the way.

00:21:10.160 Days, they were able to clean up an entire city.

00:21:12.260 That's impressive.

00:21:13.260 And by the way, there's a pattern.

00:21:14.800 So this is not the first time this has happened.

00:21:17.260 When Joe Biden came to El Paso for his vaunted trip to the border.

00:21:21.420 Yeah.

00:21:22.300 They cleaned it up.

00:21:23.220 Yeah, there were illegal aliens all over the streets.

00:21:26.080 It's a crisis.

00:21:27.180 The city is being swarmed by illegal immigration.

00:21:30.060 But when Joe Biden came, they removed all the illegal immigrants from the street.

00:21:33.860 And in fact, the Biden White House said Biden did not see a single illegal immigrant.

00:21:39.820 And there's a cynicism to this, which is, and this is something we've talked about a lot that I've talked about in my new book, Unwoke,

00:21:47.500 which is the cultural Marxists, their policies are wildly unpopular.

00:21:53.880 Normal people do not support open borders, don't support abolishing the police.

00:21:58.120 They don't support rampant crime.

00:22:01.760 So for the cultural Marxists, for the radical extreme in the Democrat Party, they focus on indoctrination and political messaging.

00:22:13.120 And so when Joe Biden goes to El Paso, it's a photo op.

00:22:16.340 It's a photo op to show, hey, everything's fine.

00:22:18.540 When Joe Biden and she goes to San Francisco, it's a photo op to say, hey, everything's fine.

00:22:23.240 And then once the TV cameras leave, the people are stuck with the disastrous failure of the left wing policies.

00:22:31.660 Yeah. 0.96

00:22:31.800 You mentioned Gavin Newsom talking about this cleanup and he had maybe one of the dumbest lines that we've heard.

00:22:36.740 This is what he said about defending the timing of the San Francisco cleanup as the governor. 0.58

00:22:40.880 Listen to this.

00:22:41.920 I know folks say, oh, they're just cleaning up this place because all those fancy leaders are coming.

00:22:46.080 That's true because it's true.

00:22:51.660 But it's also true for months and months and months prior to APEC.

00:22:56.320 We've been having different conversations.

00:22:58.360 We've been having different conversations.

00:23:00.260 It's true because it's true.

00:23:01.700 Yes, it's true.

00:23:02.400 We're cleaning the place up for the Chinese who are coming to town. 1.00

00:23:05.400 It's true.

00:23:06.440 To be clear, Gavin Newsom used to be mayor of San Francisco.

00:23:09.680 Yeah.

00:23:09.800 This problem he created.

00:23:11.560 He owns this.

00:23:12.760 Now, he's got dreams of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue sparkling in his eyes.

00:23:18.320 So he's realizing, huh, this is kind of a problem.

00:23:20.740 Let's see if we can clean it up.

00:23:21.800 So he kind of likes that that PR.

00:23:24.040 But understand it is all PR, that there's no one, as far as I can tell, that's a Democrat politician that actually cares about the quality of life of the residents of San Francisco.

00:23:35.380 That doesn't matter.

00:23:36.760 There's a reason that people who live in San Francisco are fleeing the city because it's unbearable.

00:23:43.080 And the absolute insult for them to say, yeah, you people who pay taxes here, you're not important enough for us to solve these problems. 0.97

00:23:51.740 But when the head of China comes, hot diggity damn, we can fix it overnight. 0.94

00:23:56.280 If you are sick and tired of woke companies taking your money because you think you've got to work with them and you say, well, that's all I've got. 0.99

00:24:04.260 A great example of that is the cell phone industry.

00:24:06.780 You may think, hey, there's two or three big companies.

00:24:09.600 Those are my options.

00:24:10.700 I can't really dictate to them what they stand for, what they do.

00:24:14.480 Well, now you have a chance with a company called Patriot Mobile.

00:24:18.120 You may not realize this, but Big Mobile actually gives big donations to Democrats and big donations to Planned Parenthood.

00:24:26.020 If you don't want your money going there, you have an option.

00:24:29.940 That option is Patriot Mobile.

00:24:31.840 And what they're doing right now to celebrate their 10th anniversary is incredible.

00:24:35.140 For every person that switches to Patriot Mobile, they are going to give a donation to a pro-life organization to protect the rights of unborn children.

00:24:43.640 Now, that's just the start.

00:24:45.140 Then every month when you pay your bill at no extra cost to you, they actually give donations, money, a portion of your bill to conservative causes that stand up and protect and defend our first and our second amendment rights.

00:25:00.800 Stand up for the sanctity of life, stand up for our military, our veterans, and our first responders.

00:25:07.140 They have 100% U.S.-based customer service team, which makes switching easy.

00:25:11.660 You can keep your same cell phone number you have now, keep your same phone, or upgrade.

00:25:16.180 And they will help you find the best plan for your needs, your family needs, or your business or small business needs.

00:25:22.300 Call them, 972-PATRIOT.

00:25:25.660 That's 972-PATRIOT.

00:25:29.000 972-PATRIOT.

00:25:30.540 Or PatriotMobile.com.

00:25:34.100 That's PatriotMobile.com.

00:25:36.000 Use the promo code VERDICT.

00:25:37.320 You will get the best deals of the year and free activation.

00:25:41.840 PatriotMobile.com slash VERDICT.

00:25:45.580 So it was funny, and this is why I love doing this pod, because we get to talk about some of the things that happened during this pod,

00:25:51.380 while we were actually recording.

00:25:52.960 You had to run and make a vote, and we had to hit pause, which is just hilarious that you're like,

00:25:58.880 okay, there's a random vote that the Democrats have called.

00:26:01.260 What was it on, by the way?

00:26:03.000 So it was 10.30 at night, and it was a vote on the continuing resolution.

00:26:07.340 So it was the continuing resolution that the House passed that keeps government funded through January.

00:26:12.280 And so we had a vote late at night that we all came down there.

00:26:15.500 We were down in the Senate at 11.30 at night casting votes.

00:26:19.060 I love that aspect of it.

00:26:21.980 But there's also something else I was going to say that's the second part of just pulling back the curtain a little bit.

00:26:26.460 So you and I obviously spent a lot of time together, and this goes back to the Gavin Newsom point you were just making.

00:26:32.720 And I'm laughing because I'm doing Fox News Channel, just a normal interview that I do.

00:26:37.920 I didn't see your schedule.

00:26:40.840 And they tell me, they said, hey, you may be a minute or two late.

00:26:44.720 We have another guest on who's going to be on.

00:26:47.180 And I look up, and it's you, which was hilarious because I was waiting to talk about this Newsom issue and cleaning up San Francisco,

00:26:53.180 which was just really a funny moment because everybody in the control room was laughing.

00:26:57.500 They're like, all right, it's verdict, and then it's verdict, but they're not together, which was pretty funny.

00:27:01.640 But one of the things that I said on there—

00:27:03.540 And by the way, Ben, you're being nice because what you said that the Fox producer told you is the guest in front of you,

00:27:11.780 you may be late because the guest in front of you tends to go long.

00:27:16.320 And I don't know that he said it, but what they implied is he's kind of a blowhard and he likes to yabber.

00:27:21.380 He likes to talk a lot.

00:27:23.040 And yeah, they're like, hey, the guest we have on before you, sometimes he goes a little long,

00:27:26.880 so you might be about five minutes late.

00:27:28.460 And then I look up on the screen, and I'm like, I'm always waiting on this guy.

00:27:31.480 It was a hilarious moment, and everybody was laughing.

00:27:35.160 Look, look, look, Benjamin, senators are known for our brevity.

00:27:38.260 We're tight. We're pithy. We limit—we're like Chinese fortune cookies. 0.99

00:27:43.220 We keep it all within one very short sentence.

00:27:45.860 Oh, I love it. I love it.

00:27:47.340 But it was what—I took a picture of the screen.

00:27:49.420 If you guys want to look, it's on my Instagram.

00:27:51.280 And I'm pointing at me in the corner because they say, up next, it's my picture in the bottom right.

00:27:55.880 And then you're talking there, and it was just—I was like, this is what I want to frame in the office.

00:27:59.420 But by the way, I want our verdict listeners to know, so Ben saw that, and he texts me and says,

00:28:07.480 I bet I can talk about the podcast more than you do.

00:28:11.020 Now, I don't see this until I'm done with the media hit.

00:28:14.020 And as it so happened, on the media hit, I was talking about my new book, Unwoke.

00:28:18.060 So I didn't mention the podcast.

00:28:19.420 I talked about the podcast a lot, but I mentioned it zero times.

00:28:23.080 So when I see it, see his text, he's on, and I've finished.

00:28:26.900 I'm like, okay, you win.

00:28:28.100 Because I'm at zero.

00:28:30.160 So falling down, you're going to beat Mike.

00:28:33.120 Yeah, and the best part was it was I knew that I was going to win that one

00:28:36.720 because I had one of the longest verdict plugs ever.

00:28:40.780 I was like, you know, it's interesting.

00:28:41.880 Senator Cruz, who was just on a moment ago,

00:28:44.960 we were chatting about this on our podcast, Verdict with Ted Cruz.

00:28:49.220 And even the host, Elizabeth, she's so sweet.

00:28:52.160 She's grinning from ear to ear because she gets it.

00:28:54.500 She understands how funny it is.

00:28:56.300 And it was just one of those great moments.

00:28:58.200 But one of the things that we were talking about on there,

00:29:00.000 I was on talking about this exclusive issue about cleaning up San Francisco.

00:29:04.640 And I said...

00:29:05.840 And I got to say, Ben, this pisses me off.

00:29:08.500 And let me ask you, I don't mean to derail you,

00:29:12.300 but do you think your typical lefty voter in San Francisco is pissed off about this?

00:29:16.960 I would assume probably not normally,

00:29:21.800 but they may have hit their breaking point like,

00:29:23.920 are you kidding me?

00:29:24.760 We've been living with this.

00:29:26.420 And they've been talking about it's hurting tourism drastically.

00:29:29.380 We saw a man that was cleaning off his front steps, remember?

00:29:32.560 And they turned him in the worst person in the world

00:29:34.060 because he sprayed with water homeless people.

00:29:36.880 They're outside defecating in front of a store,

00:29:38.620 and it was costing him his business.

00:29:40.540 And so I do think there's a moment where people have had enough.

00:29:43.900 And I think this hypocrisy may resonate with some of the people in San Francisco.

00:29:48.300 Enough to change leadership?

00:29:49.880 Let's be honest, probably not.

00:29:52.320 Yeah.

00:29:53.380 You were saying, sorry.

00:29:54.960 No, it's a great question.

00:29:56.840 So I was literally at dinner with a number of folks in D.C.,

00:29:59.060 and we were debating this question.

00:30:01.020 And one guy I was having dinner with said,

00:30:02.780 well, you know, maybe the lefties are saying,

00:30:05.320 well, gosh, what happened to the homeless people?

00:30:07.900 Where are they now?

00:30:08.800 Are they okay?

00:30:09.620 Are they safe?

00:30:10.440 We need to take care of them more.

00:30:11.700 Maybe they're worried about that.

00:30:13.400 And I'm like, look, I try to understand the perspective of people who disagree with me,

00:30:20.320 but I have to confess I'm not the best person on earth

00:30:23.580 to really get in the mind of a San Francisco left-wing.

00:30:28.680 That's just, I have it hard.

00:30:32.820 It's hard for me to really grasp how they view this and think it's okay.

00:30:37.280 And so I don't know if when they see it cleaned up,

00:30:41.000 they react like, holy crap, why didn't you do this a year ago?

00:30:44.320 If you could do this, why did you allow this to continue? 0.95

00:30:47.400 Or if they just say, well, God, I mean, one of the things I responded,

00:30:52.420 I said, look, today's Democrat Party is so command and control,

00:30:56.600 they follow orders, that maybe the folks there are like, well, no, no, no, this is okay.

00:31:01.380 This made sense for this meeting.

00:31:02.920 But generally speaking, we can't fix it.

00:31:05.140 And this meeting was important.

00:31:06.100 I don't know if they're willing to just be told that by their political overlords.

00:31:12.900 Well, and the point that I made, I said, for lefties who always love to give themselves

00:31:19.160 these massive hugs of we are the people of compassion and love and understanding,

00:31:26.900 where's the compassion and the love and the outrage from the left of the fact that you

00:31:31.840 just took homeless people and took all their belongings and threw them in the trash and told

00:31:38.900 them, find somewhere else to be homeless.

00:31:41.840 Where is the compassion for those homeless people just because of a communist leader that,

00:31:47.240 by the way, is running concentration camps and slave labor and child labor?

00:31:52.380 However, you want to clean up a city so you then treat these homeless people in such an 0.93

00:31:59.040 inhumane way because they're in your way.

00:32:03.400 Where is the outrage from the compassionate left?

00:32:06.920 Because I have not seen that so far.

00:32:09.540 Yeah, I haven't seen any of that at all.

00:32:11.520 And part of it is they don't criticize their own.

00:32:15.180 I mean, they have message discipline.

00:32:17.560 Whatever the message is of the day, they're all on board with the same thing.

00:32:20.960 Last question on this I want to ask you, and it deals with the investigation of the Bidens.

00:32:28.080 You look at the money, we're getting more information about these checks that are going to the president,

00:32:34.240 and you see this president bow down, as you described it, kissing the A-double-S of this Chinese communist leader. 0.73

00:32:42.940 But you look at the House oversight.

00:32:44.580 I'm glad you spelled that for our listeners.

00:32:46.220 They didn't know what it was.

00:32:48.220 You know, we have a lot of elementary school children that listen to this podcast.

00:32:52.340 That's okay. 1.00

00:32:53.040 Just for you, Senator, just because you had to go vote in the middle of the show, kissing his ass. 1.00

00:32:57.360 There we go. 1.00

00:32:57.960 You got me on the record there.

00:32:59.400 That's right.

00:32:59.780 All right.

00:32:59.900 I like that.

00:33:00.600 I'm a negative influence on you, Ben.

00:33:02.600 I'm a team player here.

00:33:03.980 I'm a team player.

00:33:05.480 But you look at these checks.

00:33:07.800 Joe Biden received a $40,000 check and laundered Chinese money from the account of his brother, James Biden, and his sister-in-law, Sarah Biden, in the form of a personal check.

00:33:16.300 We know that because the check number is 6142.

00:33:19.100 We have a copy of it.

00:33:20.020 It was made on September the 3rd, 2017.

00:33:22.980 Of course, it said loan reimbursement.

00:33:25.300 That's not the first check, by the way.

00:33:27.540 That's the second check that has come in.

00:33:29.660 And Hunter Biden also wired another $150,000 to the Lion Hall Group, a company owned by President Biden's brother, James, and sister-in-law, Sarah, on August the 28th of 17.

00:33:39.520 And then guess what happened?

00:33:40.500 Sarah Biden withdrew $50,000 in cash from the Lion Hall Group.

00:33:44.940 And later the same day, she deposited it into her and James Biden's personal checking account.

00:33:51.540 And then they write the check to Joe Biden for the, quote, loan repayment.

00:33:55.580 I mean, we're at over $200,000 now.

00:33:58.780 And we also know that the money trail began in July of 2017 when Hunter Biden demanded payment from his Chinese Communist Party friend, this associate who's linked there.

00:34:12.140 On July 30th, Hunter Biden, let's just read that famous text, right, that WhatsApp text.

00:34:18.620 I'm sitting here with my father, and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled.

00:34:24.800 Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight.

00:34:30.920 And Z, if I get a call or a text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman,

00:34:36.940 I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows, and my ability forever hold a grudge, that you will regret not following my direction.

00:34:46.600 I'm sitting here waiting for the call with my father.

00:34:49.600 And what happened after that? Hundreds of thousands of dollars came into their account within days, and the FBI stopped.

00:34:57.980 The investigation did see if Joe Biden was, in fact, through GPS, was sitting next to Hunter Biden or in the same place on this date.

00:35:08.720 You put that together, and you see what's happening now with China and America. 0.87

00:35:12.260 I think James Comer's on to something here, and it seems like there's a lot more that's about to come out on this.

00:35:18.440 Well, the evidence is getting worse and worse.

00:35:20.480 We now know that at least $240,000 went straight to Joe Biden.

00:35:25.100 Remember, the Democrats were saying over and over again, no direct evidence of Joe Biden's involvement.

00:35:30.420 This is all Hunter. Hunter's corrupt, but Joe is innocent.

00:35:34.000 Well, $240,000, and he labels all these checks loan repayment.

00:35:37.580 There's no evidence as to what the loans were, was there a loan that is, on its face, highly suspicious.

00:35:44.520 We also know now that the House, that James Comer, the subpoenas have escalated.

00:35:48.840 They're now subpoenaing Hunter Biden.

00:35:50.760 They're subpoenaing James Biden.

00:35:52.140 They're subpoenaing the inner circle of business associates around Joe Biden.

00:35:57.280 Among other things, they also issued a subpoena to former White House counsel Dana Remus to appear for a deposition concerning Biden's mishandling of classified documents.

00:36:08.860 This is ratcheting up, by the way, also special counsel David Weiss admitted that he wasn't granted special attorney authority in the Hunter Biden investigation.

00:36:21.680 And even though he asked for it, but then he said, well, he didn't interpret that decision as a, quote, denial in any way, shape or form, which is utterly incoherent.

00:36:30.800 You ask for, can I have special attorney authority?

00:36:34.100 You're told no.

00:36:35.320 And then he says, well, but that wasn't a denial.

00:36:37.220 What else is it?

00:36:39.220 And so I have to say, I think the investigation is getting more and more serious and the evidence is getting worse and worse for Joe and for Hunter.
