00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.580 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.520 Senator, it's always nice to be sitting with you in studio.
00:00:08.740 And for people that are listening audio only, you can watch this episode on YouTube as well.
00:00:13.020 Let's start with this idea.
00:00:15.280 And I think it's time to have a real discussion about it.
00:00:18.520 The possibility that Joe Biden may actually not be the nominee for the Democratic Party.
00:00:25.240 They seem to be turning on him.
00:00:26.940 Your initial reaction to this?
00:00:28.360 Well, I think the odds that Joe Biden is not the Democrats' nominee in 2024 have risen significantly, maybe by as much as 20 or 30 percent.
00:00:38.340 And I think there are all sorts of indicia that suggest that.
00:00:41.860 Democrats are getting nervous.
00:00:43.260 They're getting nervous about his age.
00:00:45.100 They're looking at polling numbers that show two-thirds of Americans think he's too old to be president.
00:00:50.560 They're getting nervous about all of the evidence of Biden corruption.
00:00:53.880 You've got Hunter being indicted.
00:00:55.640 You've got all the connections to Joe.
00:00:57.520 And then what we've seen in recent weeks is the media is turning on them.
00:01:02.580 And remember, the role of the media, sadly, they're no longer journalists.
00:01:06.040 They no longer report news.
00:01:07.360 They are the left wing of the Democrat Party.
00:01:09.160 And when the media turns on the presumed Democrat nominee, I think that is the cutting edge of the Democrat intelligentsia saying, we may have to cut bait and find someone new.
00:01:21.360 So, for example, David Ignatius.
00:01:24.560 Yeah.
00:01:24.800 Columnist in the Washington Post.
00:01:27.200 Say that again.
00:01:28.240 In the Washington Post saying this.
00:01:30.320 This is something that doesn't happen.
00:01:32.220 Well, he wrote.
00:01:33.420 Tell us what he wrote, Ben.
00:01:34.320 He wrote something interesting.
00:01:35.580 And basically he was saying it's time to get rid of Joe Biden or maybe Kamala Harris or maybe both.
00:01:40.740 And one of the things he talked about in there, he said he was concerned about Harris that even with Biden, because he says that, well, one way that Biden could help himself is by encouraging, quote, a more open vice presidential selection process that can produce a stronger running mate.
00:01:57.220 So he's even saying, hey, Joe Biden, you're in deep trouble.
00:02:00.840 Democrats need to pay attention to this.
00:02:02.700 But if you're not going to stop, if you're not going to say I'm not going to run, you might want to look at replacing your vice presidential candidate because maybe that will at least make you go, all right, well, we like you a little bit more because we know we're going to replace you with someone that we like because her poll numbers are worse than Joe Biden's.
00:02:18.520 Well, well, they are.
00:02:19.460 And the fact that the Washington Post is throwing that marker out there, and let's come back to that because I want to talk about the likelihood of Joe not being the nominee.
00:02:26.720 I want to talk about the likelihood of Kamala not being the vice presidential nominee.
00:02:30.780 But first, the fact that the Washington Post puts that out there in a very prominent column, it's like the starter's pistol.
00:02:38.320 And the media, they all listen to the same things.
00:02:41.380 And so when you have the Washington Post start saying that, when you have the New York Times start saying that, you start having others.
00:02:48.760 So, for example, here's CNN this past week.
00:02:51.740 Give a listen.
00:02:52.180 He has done, I don't know if it's similar things, but he's sort of told some stories that don't line up quite like this before.
00:03:00.400 He had, this president has a pattern at this point of either inventing or embellishing stories about his own past, his biography.
00:03:08.360 He did it three times in one speech last month alone.
00:03:12.340 He claimed he had witnessed a bridge collapse in Pittsburgh when he actually showed up about six hours later.
00:03:17.360 He claimed that his grandfather had died just days before he was born himself at the same hospital.
00:03:22.940 In fact, his grandpa died more than a year before in a different state, not the same hospital.
00:03:28.120 And he also repeated a favorite false story that I and others have debunked over and over again about a supposed conversation with an Amtrak train conductor he was friends with,
00:03:36.360 who was actually deceased at the time the conversation would have had to take place.
00:03:39.940 And that's not all.
00:03:40.860 There are some more serious ones, in my view.
00:03:43.040 Previously in his presidency, he claimed at one point he'd been arrested during a civil rights protest when, in other versions of the story, he just said an officer had taken him home from a protest.
00:03:52.240 He said he had visited the Pittsburgh synagogue where worshippers were killed in a 2018 match shooting.
00:03:57.680 In fact, he had actually spoken to the rabbi, but never went.
00:04:01.940 And he's made a whole bunch of others, too.
00:04:04.480 He said at one point, Republicans like to bring this up, he said that he used to drive a tractor trailer, used to drive an 18-wheeler.
00:04:10.320 Never happened.
00:04:11.440 The White House later clarified he used to drive a school bus at one point as a job, briefly.
00:04:16.380 School bus, of course, not an 18-wheeler.
00:04:18.720 So whatever his intentions, whether it's foggy memory about stuff that's going on decades ago or deliberate embellishment,
00:04:24.060 this is an unfortunate pattern that keeps coming up again and again with Joe Biden.
00:04:28.000 You go back to the starter gun analogy that you used a moment ago, Senator.
00:04:31.180 It's like everyone was holding back, then all of a sudden the op-ed comes out in the Washington Post and it's like, oh, we can now say this.
00:04:39.460 We can now do this.
00:04:40.640 Well, and I got to say that clip on CNN I think is funny on like 19 different levels.
00:04:44.820 Number one, the most important thing is they're finally reporting on the fact that Joe Biden is a pathological, serial liar.
00:04:55.160 He has been his entire career.
00:04:57.120 He says things that are false.
00:04:58.460 He says things that are false again.
00:05:00.060 He does it over and over and over and over again.
00:05:02.120 The reporters all know that.
00:05:03.380 Yeah.
00:05:03.940 It's just CNN didn't used to talk about it.
00:05:07.120 They didn't used to be willing to say it because, hey, their job is to protect the Democrat president, not actually to report on what he says and does, even though it's a lie.
00:05:15.560 That's point number one on that.
00:05:16.640 Point number two, the examples they use are deliberately minor examples.
00:05:23.980 They're deliberately not that consequential.
00:05:26.680 They didn't include the lie that Joe Biden just did last week where he said he was at ground zero the day after 9-11 and he saw it right there.
00:05:35.360 That's a flat-out lie.
00:05:36.380 No, he wasn't.
00:05:37.460 He was on the floor of the Senate on September 12, 2001.
00:05:40.860 He did not go the day after 9-11.
00:05:42.900 It's just an absolute lie.
00:05:45.040 But they didn't include that one because that is—
00:05:47.340 Well, and I laugh because they put it at the bottom of the screen on the ticker, but they didn't mention it in their comments.
00:05:51.240 They're like—well, it was like the pretext.
00:05:53.020 It was like, let's not mention that one because I think that makes too many Americans angry that you would place yourself at ground zero the day after 9-11.
00:06:00.480 So we'll just put it at the bottom of the screen, but we won't even talk about it with our words.
00:06:04.580 And most significantly, they do not include his repeated lies about his corruption with his son, Hunter Biden.
00:06:12.660 They don't include the lie, I've never spoken with my son about his overseas business dealings.
00:06:16.860 That's now demonstrably false.
00:06:18.360 Even the White House has backed away from it, but far be it from CNN, to admit that that's a lie because that actually—that goes to their conceit.
00:06:27.160 No evidence, no evidence, no evidence.
00:06:28.740 There's no evidence, no direct evidence.
00:06:30.460 We obviously had an entire podcast explaining what they mean when they say no direct evidence and why they're lying.
00:06:38.000 So they don't include the most consequential and significant ones.
00:06:41.240 And I've got to say, for those of you that are watching this on YouTube, this is one of our three pods a week that is both on YouTube and on audio.
00:06:50.100 You can see the images they put up, and they have a whole series of clips of Joe Biden.
00:06:55.460 Every one of them, he's smiling.
00:06:57.300 Yeah, they're all good.
00:06:58.540 He looks like a genial grandfather.
00:07:00.980 So he's a liar, but he's just like an old dude.
00:07:03.700 He's just having fun.
00:07:04.840 He's just trying to entertain you.
00:07:06.200 I mean, who else hasn't claimed they were at ground zero after 9-11 when they weren't?
00:07:10.920 That's just what really old, genial Uncle Joes do.
00:07:14.300 So CNN is starting to criticize them, but they're so bad at it.
00:07:19.340 Yeah.
00:07:19.780 They're so used to being the Praetorian Guard protecting him that they can't really bring themselves to do it.
00:07:26.280 But that being said, look, this, the Washington Post flipping on him, CNN flipping on him, this is significant.
00:07:35.640 And I think the Democrat intelligentsia is getting nervous.
00:07:40.720 And, Ben, I believe there is now a real possibility Joe Biden is not the Democrat nominee in 2024.
00:07:49.520 And I think there are two ways this potentially plays out.
00:07:52.340 One way is the pressure ratchets up internally within the Democrat Party significantly enough that Biden ends up backing out.
00:08:04.920 I think there's some chance of that.
00:08:06.500 He didn't want to.
00:08:08.400 But I got to say the weird thing about Democrats, their command and control, they are collectivists.
00:08:12.860 And if enough of the power brokers go to Biden and say enough is enough is enough, I think there is some possibility he says, I'm out.
00:08:23.160 I did what I came to do.
00:08:24.720 I stopped Donald Trump from getting in office in 2021.
00:08:28.640 I'm done.
00:08:29.540 I'm riding off into the sunset.
00:08:30.900 That's actually what David Ignatius says.
00:08:32.660 Yeah.
00:08:32.960 Look, you can victory lap.
00:08:34.280 You did what you wanted to do.
00:08:36.640 And, by the way, one of the things fueling that is the unease about Kamala Harris.
00:08:44.440 Kamala Harris's numbers, her poll support is terrible.
00:08:47.480 Her unfavorables are terrible.
00:08:49.480 Worse than his.
00:08:50.120 And his poll numbers, to be clear, are at Jimmy Carter levels or below.
00:08:53.740 38, 39 percent approval ratings.
00:08:55.600 And hers are worse.
00:08:56.540 In the 20s.
00:08:57.340 It makes you wonder if she wears mint-flavored shoes because daily she seems to stick her foot in her mouth.
00:09:03.620 And Democrats are nervous.
00:09:05.040 Look, Joe Biden is 80 years old.
00:09:08.080 If Biden is elected in 2024, the actuarial tables are very significant.
00:09:16.380 The odds are high that he does not live out a second term, that he dies sometime in the White House.
00:09:23.580 That's just the realities of the age he's at, which means in this next election, if the Democrat ticket is Biden-Harris,
00:09:31.420 a huge part of it is going to be you pull that lever for Joe Biden, you are voting for President Kamala Harris.
00:09:38.020 And that, number one, scares the heck, I think, out of a lot of voters.
00:09:42.720 But number two, makes Democrats nervous because they recognize it scares the heck out of a lot of voters.
00:09:50.140 Now, you asked, okay, might they dump Kamala Harris as VP?
00:09:57.500 I think the chances of that are zero.
00:09:59.260 Is it for the same reason that I think it's probably zero?
00:10:01.320 And that is if it was a white male, they'd have a much easier time getting rid of that person.
00:10:05.340 But this is an African-American female.
00:10:07.340 How do you offload an African-American female without having to worry that women are going to turn against you?
00:10:12.620 Yeah.
00:10:13.140 And minorities would turn against you saying, how dare you get rid of our woman who could be the first female president
00:10:20.320 in the history of the United States of America, could be Kamala Harris, not because anyone elects her,
00:10:25.760 just because of age and him having to resign or based on age that he could die in office.
00:10:31.440 So, yes, and especially because the Democrats are such hyper bean counting, they put everyone into categories.
00:10:39.760 So they don't think of you as a human being.
00:10:41.540 They think of you, you are a man, you are a white man, you are a black woman, like whatever your race,
00:10:46.700 whatever your category, ideally you're a transgender, you know, vegetarian pantheist or whatever.
00:10:54.960 But whatever your category, they put you into it.
00:10:58.360 If it were some poor schlub white guy, if the VP were Joe Biden, see ya, they'd put him out on a boat
00:11:07.920 with a guy saying Hail Mary as he puts a round in his forehead as they do in Godfather 2.
00:11:17.200 That's what they do.
00:11:18.180 And I mean that figuratively.
00:11:19.680 I can just see the fact checkers now.
00:11:21.740 Cruz says they're going to murder him.
00:11:22.880 No, that's not what I'm saying.
00:11:24.020 I'm saying they'd get rid of him and get rid of him really quickly.
00:11:26.060 I don't think the Democrats would be willing to dump Kamala Harris because they view African
00:11:36.400 American women as such an essential part of their political coalition to victory that I
00:11:43.400 think they'd be terrified of pissing off black women.
00:11:46.240 And if African American women stayed home, Democrats lose.
00:11:49.360 So I don't think they can dump Kamala Harris as much as the Washington Post columnists might
00:11:56.460 want them to.
00:11:57.080 So there are two scenarios in which Joe Biden is not the nominee, I believe.
00:12:01.220 Number one, the powers that be in the Democrat Party convince Joe Biden to pull out.
00:12:08.060 If that happens, I think it's a free for all.
00:12:10.860 I think a bunch of people get in.
00:12:13.000 I think the top four Democrats who get in are Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Gavin Newsom,
00:12:22.620 and Elizabeth Warren.
00:12:23.580 And I think all four of them get in.
00:12:25.420 I think Gretchen Whitmer probably gets in as well.
00:12:27.680 I think there are some others that get in.
00:12:29.160 I think you probably get five to 10 candidates who jump in the instant Biden is out.
00:12:34.440 Now, in my view, the top tier are the first four I listed.
00:12:37.400 And I think in that primary, I believe Elizabeth Warren wins that primary.
00:12:42.600 And when I say that, that shocks people.
00:12:45.260 I get a lot of gasps.
00:12:47.280 But I think-
00:12:47.860 Add me to that group right now because that was not what I thought you were going to say.
00:12:50.840 Why Elizabeth Warren out of all of them?
00:12:52.680 I mean, she has Pocahontas for a reason.
00:12:54.540 Because I think Elizabeth Warren is the id of today's Democrat Party.
00:12:59.900 She is the hard left, angry Marxist.
00:13:02.580 And that is where the heart is.
00:13:04.000 Look, it's Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and AOC that drive the Democrat policy agenda
00:13:09.480 right now because the entire party is terrified of her.
00:13:13.620 In 2020, Elizabeth Warren was splitting the crazy moonbat Marxist left with Bernie Sanders.
00:13:21.660 Yeah.
00:13:22.220 And the two of them were dividing that vote, which is what let Joe Biden win that primary.
00:13:27.020 I don't think Bernie runs this time.
00:13:28.740 I think he will recognize he's too old to run this time.
00:13:31.320 And so I think Elizabeth has the crazy left-winger lane all to herself.
00:13:36.620 And I think that beats the rest of that field.
00:13:41.060 That's scenario one.
00:13:42.700 Elizabeth Warren comes out of a wide-open, real Democrat primary.
00:13:46.860 Now, the thing about it is you're running out of time.
00:13:50.760 So I'll give you some deadlines.
00:13:53.660 October 16th is the filing deadline for major party candidates in Nevada.
00:14:00.820 November 10th is the filing deadline for major party candidates in Alabama.
00:14:06.900 November 14th is the filing deadline for major party candidates in Arkansas.
00:14:11.740 So we're starting to get to filing deadlines where it becomes exceedingly difficult to get on the ballot.
00:14:18.020 And so if this scenario happens, it has to happen fast.
00:14:21.840 It has to happen.
00:14:22.320 That was my question.
00:14:23.200 The timeline.
00:14:23.940 If Joe Biden's going to – if he's going to be pushed out, forced out, because it's not going to be on his own accord.
00:14:29.000 Next 60 days.
00:14:29.880 Next 60 days.
00:14:30.620 Yeah, I mean, it's – we've got to –
00:14:32.840 So then here's my question.
00:14:34.860 Do we see the media change the way they're covering the Biden crime family over the next 60 days as part of the final push to get him to realize he can't run?
00:14:42.880 I think that is entirely possible.
00:14:45.080 I think Washington Post and CNN are sort of the opening shots.
00:14:49.460 And if we see in the next couple of weeks, if we see the media actually covering all of Biden's enormous problems, that's the pressure mounting.
00:14:59.120 There's a second scenario.
00:15:00.620 And this scenario, I think, is more likely and a heck of a lot more dangerous, which is fast forward to next year.
00:15:11.540 Fast forward to the Democrat National Convention.
00:15:15.880 It's going to be in Chicago, Illinois, and it is August 19th through 22nd.
00:15:20.740 If we get to August of next year and, number one, Biden's mental diminishment has gotten even worse and it becomes obvious to anyone that he can't find his shoes.
00:15:34.640 And Democrats decide, okay, all of this downside is really worrying us.
00:15:40.900 Then the convention is the opportunity to parachute someone in.
00:15:44.480 You parachute someone in by having some story that, for health reasons, Biden's not able to continue.
00:15:54.500 How the Democrats execute that exactly, I don't know.
00:15:57.220 But the Democrats are very big on smoke-filled rooms and forcing through the outcome they want, and they obey orders.
00:16:03.500 Now, if you're a Democrat poobah, and by the way, the Democrats also have what are called superdelegates.
00:16:11.360 Republicans don't have superdelegates.
00:16:13.280 Superdelegates are typically elected officials that have disproportionate power at their convention.
00:16:18.660 They have the ability to really move the votes.
00:16:21.780 If you get to the August convention for Democrats and they've collectively lost their nerve on Biden, said it's time to put Joe out to pasture, what do they do then?
00:16:31.840 Well, the natural thing to say would be, okay, it'll be one of those top four.
00:16:36.660 And here's the problem.
00:16:38.700 Whoever they pick is a problem.
00:16:42.060 They pick Kamala Harris.
00:16:43.680 She's the vice president in some ways, the natural choice.
00:16:46.580 All of the downsides of Kamala Harris make that a really dangerous choice.
00:16:50.660 If they pick Gavin Newsom, that makes some California Democrats happy.
00:17:00.100 The problem is you're replacing an African-American woman in the Democrat Party with a white guy.
00:17:05.400 A rich white guy.
00:17:06.360 A very rich white guy.
00:17:08.440 You want to talk about a recipe for discontent, that's a big problem.
00:17:13.500 They could go with Pete Buttigieg, another white guy.
00:17:17.400 But Buttigieg is gay.
00:17:19.300 That's at least the gay-lesbian community is a big chunk of the Democrat coalition.
00:17:22.980 Anti-gun, that'll fit in very well as well.
00:17:25.000 So rich liberals would really like Pete Buttigieg, and a lot of the Democrat donors are gay and lesbian.
00:17:31.920 That's a major chunk of the funding stream for a Democrat candidate.
00:17:35.440 But you have the same problem.
00:17:37.160 If you jettison an African-American woman who's vice president for a white guy in the Democrat primary, you're really asking for trouble.
00:17:46.040 And option four is Elizabeth Warren.
00:17:48.660 Well, Elizabeth Warren makes the crazy moonbat leftists happy.
00:17:53.520 Yeah.
00:17:53.920 But you have the same – everyone else who doesn't get it.
00:17:57.360 I think anyone they go with as a coronation – it's different than an open primary where Warren wins because primary voters vote for.
00:18:05.780 That gives an element of legitimacy that the people who don't win can live with.
00:18:11.800 Yeah.
00:18:12.660 If it's just the kingmakers saying, nope, we pick you, whoever doesn't get picked, everyone else is pissed.
00:18:20.800 So here's the scenario that I think is perhaps most likely and most dangerous.
00:18:28.360 In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama.
00:18:38.260 And I want you to pause and reflect on this.
00:18:40.500 Oh, I'm pausing, and I'm reflecting, and so is everybody else listening right now.
00:18:44.760 I view this as a very serious danger.
00:18:49.320 I'm smiling right now because it terrifies me, and I also could totally see this happening.
00:18:53.280 So Michelle Obama, number one, you don't infuriate African-American women, which is a critical part of the constituency that Democrats are relying on to win.
00:19:02.760 But number two, you avoid the problem.
00:19:05.360 If you pick from any of the four, the other three are pissed because they're all, to some extent, peers.
00:19:12.180 They're rivals.
00:19:12.900 They're all jabbing knives at each other.
00:19:14.560 Michelle Obama, because she was first lady, has the ability to kind of parachute in above all four and say, hey, we're not picking among any of you.
00:19:25.620 You guys can all fight it out next time.
00:19:27.780 You're all going to be on the same level.
00:19:29.800 We're coming.
00:19:30.920 This is the Obamas saving the day.
00:19:32.900 And I think in terms of a solution that unifies Democrats, there ain't nothing like that.
00:19:42.380 I also think Michelle is not all that eager to run for president.
00:19:46.340 But to parachute in in August of 24, a couple of months before the presidency, and suddenly wake up and be president?
00:19:53.960 Not a bad gig.
00:19:54.780 Not a bad gig.
00:19:55.340 It's not a bad gig at all.
00:19:56.500 Now, would she do it?
00:19:57.820 I don't know.
00:19:59.440 I've met Michelle, but I don't know her personally in any meaningful way.
00:20:04.040 I don't know if she would do it.
00:20:05.840 I do think Barack Obama is already running the Biden administration.
00:20:11.180 I think he is already the puppet master behind this Biden White House.
00:20:15.320 I don't think Joe Biden is the decision maker.
00:20:18.120 And so when I see the media turning on Joe Biden right now, I think the odds of Michelle Obama parachuting in in August of 2024 have risen dramatically.
00:20:31.500 And that ought to scare the hell out of anyone who is unhappy about the direction this country is going and doesn't want us to go even crazier in an even worse direction.
00:20:43.000 I want to tell you about our friends at Patriot Mobile.
00:20:45.080 If you are tired of giving your money to woke corporations that are actually fighting against what you believe in, there's one bill every month that you pay that can actually now make a difference standing up for what you believe in.
00:20:56.320 And that's your cell phone.
00:20:57.280 Now, Patriot Mobile has been around now for over a decade, and they are the only conservative Christian cell phone provider in the country.
00:21:04.960 And when you pay your bill every month, they are actually fighting for the causes that you believe in.
00:21:09.960 We're talking about standing with the First and Second Amendment issues, protecting the rights of unborn children, helping with adoptions.
00:21:16.220 And they help with our first responders, our American veterans, those that serve this country.
00:21:21.740 I love Patriot Mobile because they actually stand up for what I believe in.
00:21:26.440 Now, the coverage you get is amazing because they give you coverage on all three major networks.
00:21:32.220 And you usually save money over what you're paying right now.

00:22:15.960 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:22:19.680 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:22:20.620 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:22:22.120 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women.
00:22:25.900 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers.
00:22:29.420 All at different stages of their journey.
00:22:31.620 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:22:34.840 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:22:38.900 I got to ask you one more question about this scenario with Michelle.
00:22:45.560 If that was to happen at the convention as you just described it, and Joe Biden walks off the stage,
00:22:51.540 does he turn himself into the biggest hero of the Democratic Party in history?
00:22:55.600 Oh, yeah.
00:22:56.040 Yeah, I don't know.
00:22:56.560 They immediately start carving him on Rushmore, figuratively speaking.
00:23:01.060 The Rushmore of socialists.
00:23:02.800 Joe Biden would permanently – look, he aspires to be the next FDR, and part of how Democrats would get him to step down is saying,
00:23:10.560 by doing this, you're FDR.
00:23:13.040 By doing this, you're George Washington stepping down after two terms.
00:23:17.060 You're demonstrating the ultimate statesman principle.
00:23:21.880 Now, look, I think Joe Biden loves the trappings of being president.
00:23:25.460 This guy's wanted to be president since he was two.
00:23:28.320 And to be clear, I understand that particular sickness.
00:23:32.440 My hands are not clean in that discussion.
00:23:36.460 So I get it.
00:23:38.180 But I do think the Democrats' appeal to is vanity that you will be legendary and immortal if you do this.
00:23:46.020 And that may be an element of making it happen.
00:23:48.200 And I don't think it is more likely than not.
00:23:51.260 I don't think it's greater than 50 percent that Biden is not the nominee, but I think it's probably 25 or 30 percent right now.
00:23:59.540 It's interesting that you said that about Michelle because I was doing my podcast the night after Michelle Obama was talking to Billie Jean King about equal pay,
00:24:06.880 and she did this speech at the U.S. Open in prime time.
00:24:09.660 And I said the next day, not thinking about the connection you're talking about here,
00:24:12.860 I said it was like – it was almost like a coming-out political speech.
00:24:16.400 It was the first time I saw Michelle Obama in a political way.
00:24:19.220 It wasn't a first lady speech.
00:24:21.360 It was a political-esque speech.
00:24:22.860 It was in her own words, not under-my-husband, first lady-esque.
00:24:28.140 And if you think about that now with what you just said, that's scary as hell.
00:24:31.800 And by the way, this is not a new thought for Democrats.
00:24:35.360 You had Bill Clinton who served two terms, and then obviously Hillary was presumed to be the heir apparent.
00:24:43.180 And so the dynamic from Barack to Michelle – listen, the Democrats are dynastic.
00:24:48.640 The Democrats are top-down.
00:24:51.080 The Democrats are command and control.
00:24:53.560 And it's because Michelle has a claim to already being at a higher level in the Democrat pecking order than any of the other contenders.
00:25:02.460 It's the only solution for Democrat power brokers that doesn't cause a civil war.
00:25:10.280 Yeah, and it comes with the best political campaigner in the Democratic Party, her husband.
00:25:15.660 Plus, look, Michelle spent eight years as first lady.
00:25:20.600 First lady is a position that by design keeps you out of the political fray.
00:25:25.740 And so Michelle Obama has really high positives and relatively low negatives.
00:25:31.100 Now, she starts getting into policy.
00:25:33.360 I think she is further left than Barack.
00:25:36.820 I think she is further left than Joe Biden.
00:25:39.640 I think as a president she would be disastrous.
00:25:42.740 But the American people think fondly of her because she's first lady.
00:25:46.760 The role of first lady insulates someone.
00:25:50.640 And if she parachutes in in August with big positives and relatively low negatives, and she can also say, hey, all the things Joe Biden screwed up on, that wasn't me.
00:26:00.120 Yeah.
00:26:01.120 That is really potent politically.
00:26:05.020 If I were a Democrat, I'd be excited about that.
00:26:07.580 There's also something else that happened this week with a Democratic primary that was shocking to me.
00:26:12.180 You've had people that made threats against you.
00:26:15.080 You've run for president of the United States of America.
00:26:17.800 I've experienced having people threaten against me as well.
00:26:21.060 It's not a good feeling.
00:26:22.560 You look at the Kennedy family and the fact that they've had assassinations and targeting.
00:26:28.820 And RFK has made it clear he wants protection.
00:26:33.540 There was something shocking that happened this week with a man that was dressed like law enforcement.
00:26:37.960 Thank goodness they saw him.
00:26:39.240 They figured it out.
00:26:40.640 There were certain things he was wearing in his outfit the way where his gun was being held on his person that didn't fit law enforcement.
00:26:47.500 And he was arrested.
00:26:48.620 But you were upset about this, I think, as you should be, because why have they still not decided to protect RFK and what's taking them so long, especially when you see things like this happen?
00:27:00.860 Yeah, this was a really disturbing security incident.
00:27:03.500 You had someone show up at an event for RFK Jr.
00:27:06.420 He had two firearms and two shoulder holsters that he was wearing.
00:27:10.300 He was dressed as law enforcement, and it was fraudulent.
00:27:13.700 He was dressed with a lanyard that indicated he was a U.S. marshal.
00:27:17.020 He was trying to camouflage.
00:27:20.160 He told people he was part of RFK's security detail.
00:27:24.180 Thankfully, the private security that RFK hired recognized that he wasn't, and they detained and arrested him.
00:27:30.940 But someone coming in with two loaded firearms and extra magazines impersonating law enforcement is, on its face, exceptionally dangerous.
00:27:40.920 Now, RFK put out the following statement.
00:27:42.840 We're going to put it up on the screen.
00:27:44.360 Here's what RFK said.
00:27:45.520 I'm very grateful that alert and fast-acting protectors from Gavin DeBecker and Associates, his private security firm, spotted and detained an armed man who attempted to approach me at my Hispanic heritage speech at the Wilshire Ebel Theater in Los Angeles tonight.
00:28:00.780 The man wearing two shoulder holsters with loaded pistols and spare ammunition magazines was carrying a U.S. marshal badge on a lanyard and a belt clip federal ID.
00:28:12.000 He identified himself as a member of my security detail.
00:28:15.420 Armed GDBA team members moved quickly to isolate and detain the man until LAPD arrived to make the arrest.
00:28:23.280 I'm also grateful to LAPD for its rapid response.
00:28:26.740 And then this is in bold in his tweet.
00:28:29.060 I'm still entertaining a hope that President Biden will allow me Secret Service protection.
00:28:34.940 I'm the first presidential candidate in history to whom the White House has denied a request for protection.
00:28:42.040 Now –
00:28:42.420 Can you explain the politics of that real quick so people don't understand how this works?
00:28:45.300 Yeah, let me do that.
00:28:46.420 And the way I'm going to do that, I want to put up – I retweeted this, and I retweeted it with my own comment.
00:28:51.600 So let's put up what I tweeted.
00:28:53.980 I retweeted RFK's statement, and here's what I said.
00:28:58.100 This isn't a left or right issue.
00:29:01.500 The Biden administration should give Robert Kennedy Jr. a security detail now.
00:29:08.040 Given his tragic family history, both his father and uncle were horrifically assassinated.
00:29:18.420 And this latest serious security incident, Biden shouldn't mess around.
00:29:26.300 Under law, quote, major candidates are entitled to Secret Service protection.
00:29:32.600 Is Mayorkas' decision not to grant protection political?
00:29:40.060 Surely, this administration wouldn't put a man's life at risk rather than concede that RFK Jr. is a major candidate.
00:29:50.340 The Trump DHS gave Biden protection in March of 2020 after a security incident.
00:29:58.800 Mayorkas should follow that precedent and expeditiously approve protection for RFK Jr.
00:30:06.760 Now, the way it works under law is that a candidate for president is entitled to Secret Service protection if they are a, quote, major candidate.
00:30:16.940 And being a major candidate, there are a series of criteria that are used to ascertain major candidate, including poll numbers.
00:30:24.560 It is the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security that makes that determination.
00:30:29.620 They do so in consultation with a bipartisan advisory committee that includes both Republicans and Democrats.
00:30:37.160 At the easy level, the major party nominees, both are entitled to coverage and they both get it.
00:30:42.560 But historically, they get it earlier than becoming the nominees.
00:30:46.280 If you look at 2016, so I've got some real and personal experience with dealing with this.
00:30:53.060 In 2016, in the Republican presidential primary, Donald Trump was given Secret Service protection relatively early on.
00:31:02.080 And Ben Carson was given Secret Service protection relatively early on.
00:31:06.800 Now, Ben Carson did not win a single state.
00:31:09.880 Ben Carson was given Secret Service protection because the level of death threats that were directed at him was deemed sufficient that it merited Secret Service protection.
00:31:22.200 I don't know exactly how many death threats we're talking about, but the Department of Homeland Security made the determination, given this threat level,
00:31:29.820 given the risk that some lunatic would try to kill an African-American Republican running for president, we're going to provide Secret Service protection.
00:31:41.320 Now, as the primary went on, I won 12 states.
00:31:46.660 For months, the race was essentially a two-man race between me and Donald Trump.
00:31:53.560 No other Republican other than Trump and I won more than a single state.
00:31:57.480 So John Kasich won Ohio.
00:31:59.180 Yeah.
00:31:59.820 Marco Rubio won Minnesota.
00:32:02.080 And Trump and I won the other 48 states.
00:32:04.460 And at the time that I dropped out, I had won 12, and he had won something like 22, 23 states.
00:32:10.960 So he'd won about twice as many states.
00:32:12.660 That's when I dropped out.
00:32:14.060 So for months earlier, I easily met the standard for a major candidate.
00:32:20.580 And had I requested Secret Service protection, I almost certainly would have received it because under any objective measure, I met it.
00:32:28.500 In 2016, I made the decision not to ask for it.
00:32:32.380 And we talked about it in our campaign.
00:32:33.760 Why?
00:32:33.960 Because when Secret Service comes into the campaign, they slow everything down.
00:32:39.000 They come in.
00:32:40.520 They take over all the security.
00:32:42.640 They set up magnetometers.
00:32:43.920 They set up metal detectors in the front of the events.
00:32:46.840 That means people coming to your events often will have to wait one, two, three hours in line.
00:32:52.240 It slows the operation down.
00:32:55.340 Once you bring Secret Service in, typically a candidate will do maybe two or three events a day because it just slows the entire operation down.
00:33:04.600 In 2016, we were running fast and hard.
00:33:08.420 I was doing, in days, six, seven, eight, nine events a day.
00:33:12.840 I mean, we were going fast.
00:33:15.780 And I didn't want to pump the brakes.
00:33:18.940 I didn't want to slow it down.
00:33:20.280 So we took security very seriously.
00:33:22.200 So I hired private security.
00:33:24.180 And we had significant private security.
00:33:26.060 But I would do something at the end of most events.
00:33:28.880 I'd jump off the front of the stage and I'd plow into the crowd.
00:33:32.160 And I'd be hugging people.
00:33:33.740 I'd be taking pictures.
00:33:34.940 I'd be talking to kids.
00:33:36.160 I remember.
00:33:36.580 Secret Service would never let you do that.
00:33:39.040 They would freak out.
00:33:39.380 They'd put the barrier up and you stay on the other side.
00:33:42.320 And so we made the decision that we wanted to be faster and more nimble and that bringing Secret Service in would slow that down.
00:33:50.800 And we also made the decision that we had a pretty significant investment in security and that we thought we could use private security to ensure safety while at the same time maintaining speed.
00:34:03.400 In this instance, you've got RFK Jr.
00:34:06.580 Number one, you've got his unique personal story.
00:34:11.140 His father was murdered while running for president of the United States.
00:34:17.220 Bobby Kennedy murdered as a candidate for the Democratic nominee for president.
00:34:22.580 And before that, his uncle, John F. Kennedy, was murdered while being president of the United States.
00:34:29.540 Given that history and given people are just nuts.
00:34:33.160 Look at this guy.
00:34:33.820 Yeah, copycats and crazies.
00:34:35.760 Look, I think it is a no-brainer that if RFK Jr. wants Secret Service protection, given his circumstances, he deserves it.
00:34:43.580 And the reason I believe the Biden administration hasn't granted it is because if they did, under statutes, they would have to say he's a major candidate.
00:34:55.840 And the approach of the Biden White House is RFK who?
00:34:59.060 We never heard of him.
00:34:59.760 Nope, nope.
00:35:00.280 Nobody running.
00:35:01.200 Nobody in the Democrat primary.
00:35:02.480 It doesn't exist.
00:35:03.580 This is a correlation.
00:35:04.840 Joe's down in the basement.
00:35:05.840 And I think it is purely political.
00:35:09.240 And I ask everyone listening to this, imagine your reaction if you turned on the TV tomorrow and saw that RFK Jr., like his father, was murdered while being a candidate for the Democrat nomination for president.
00:35:27.020 Imagine the horror.
00:35:29.860 How do you justify the Biden administration saying, nope, politics matters more to us, so good luck to you.
00:35:35.840 Hope nothing happens.
00:35:37.120 This should not be.
00:35:38.440 Look, I'm not voting for RFK Jr.
00:35:40.960 Yeah, but you should, if you're running for president, you should be safe while doing so.
00:35:44.400 This is the right thing to do.
00:35:46.680 And whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, this ought to be an easy choice.
00:35:52.160 And the Biden White House ought to get their political heads out of their rear ends and do the right thing.
00:35:59.600 Listen, they feel confident they can beat RFK Jr.
00:36:03.060 Fine, if they're confident.
00:36:05.840 Then do the right thing and ensure that he's got Secret Service protection so we don't have a national tragedy on our hands.
00:36:12.800 I want to tell you about Augusta Precious Metals.
00:36:14.660 If you are worried about your retirement, if you've seen what's happened with interest rates, hitting a 21-year high, for example, on houses, you've seen some of the bank failures that we had earlier this year, and you lost money maybe last year in your retirement account, you should take a look at our friends at Augusta Precious Metals.
00:36:30.840 At Augusta Precious Metals, they have one goal, and that is to protect your assets by diversifying your funds using gold as part of that plan.
00:36:40.560 Now, they do something that's really different.
00:36:43.080 Not only will they send you their free investor guide on gold, but they do a one-on-one web conference, a web conference that I've actually done with them, where they answer all of your questions.
00:36:53.560 They take a look at what your strategy is now.
00:36:56.080 They take a look at what you've saved.
00:36:57.740 They take a look at your earning potential, if you're still working, or in retirement, how much money you need in that retirement and how to protect it.
00:37:05.560 Then they'll talk to you about if gold is right for you or not.
00:37:09.340 That's why I love them.
00:37:10.880 If you've never checked out Augusta Precious Metals, do it.
00:37:14.280 Call them, 877, the number four, GOLD IRA.

00:37:23.000 And get the peace of mind of knowing that you're protecting your hard-earned dollars.
00:37:26.960 Remember, if you're in retirement or close to retirement, there's no time to make up losses.
00:37:31.140 That's why you want to preserve what you already have.
00:37:33.500 877, the number four, GOLD IRA.
00:37:36.580 That's 877, the number four, GOLD IRA.
00:37:39.880 Or online, Augusta Precious Metals.
00:37:42.100 That's AugustaPreciousMetals.com.
00:37:45.240 Use the promo code VERDICT.
00:37:47.620 Senator, I also want to move on to something else that happened this week.
00:37:50.800 And this one actually makes me really angry.
00:37:53.560 It's judges getting involved in a way that I think is pretty clear to election interference.
00:37:58.760 We've seen court dates that have come out now for Donald Trump with all these different indictments in different states.
00:38:04.020 It could be like the days before Super Tuesday when any normal candidate would be on the campaign trail.
00:38:09.640 You just mentioned why you guys didn't do Secret Service.
00:38:12.320 That's how important it is to be fast.
00:38:15.280 To actually be campaigning.
00:38:16.400 Right.
00:38:16.660 To be campaigning.
00:38:17.420 We're seeing two things now that seem to be marking the calendar.
00:38:21.820 One, you could throw this guy in a courtroom during dates when he desperately needs to be out campaigning,
00:38:26.260 taking away his ability to have a fair election against Joe Biden or whoever it may be.
00:38:30.060 And two, now you may take away the president, former president of the United States of America,
00:38:35.720 and the leading candidate for the Republican Party's voice to talk about the accusations against him from the leftists
00:38:44.280 and these people, these DAs, are trying to lock him up by putting a gag order on what he can say.
00:38:49.680 This seems un-American.
00:38:51.380 It seems banana Republic-esque.
00:38:53.900 I think it's disgusting political ploy here.
00:38:56.220 Yet that's what we're really talking about now is that real possibility.
00:38:59.000 Look, you're exactly right.
00:39:01.020 We have talked at length on this podcast about how the multiple indictments against Donald Trump are election interference.
00:39:08.000 Democrats have convinced themselves that Donald Trump is Adolf Hitler.
00:39:12.240 And because they believe he's Hitler, anything, anything, anything is justified to stop him.
00:39:17.820 The ends justify the means.
00:39:19.780 And they're willing to corrupt the legal process to turn the Department of Justice into a political weapon.
00:39:25.700 They're willing to do everything they can to stop the voters from daring to make a decision to vote in the way these angry partisan Democrats don't want the voters to vote.
00:39:35.860 We've gone over 200 years of our nation's history.
00:39:39.340 We've never indicted a president or a former president or a major candidate for president.
00:39:43.200 In the last six months, Democrats have done so four separate times.
00:39:47.320 The U.S. Department of Justice under Biden is the most partisan and political we've ever seen.
00:39:51.640 And Jack Smith, the special prosecutor, we've talked at length.
00:39:55.340 He is a partisan.
00:39:56.040 He has a history of abusing power, including this is not the first presidential candidate or potential presidential candidate he's gone after.
00:40:05.920 He went after Bob McDonnell.
00:40:07.580 The governor of Virginia was considered a credible presidential candidate.
00:40:12.160 Jack Smith indicted him, destroyed his political career, destroyed his life.
00:40:16.600 And then on appeal, the Supreme Court unanimously threw out the conviction as not being consistent with law.
00:40:22.320 But he'd already done its job.
00:40:24.080 He took him out.
00:40:24.680 He took him out.
00:40:26.060 In this instance, the case in the District of Columbia is profoundly dangerous.
00:40:32.140 It's profoundly dangerous because, number one, the jury pool in the District of Columbia is over 90 percent, about 94 percent Democrat.
00:40:39.760 So you're going to get a jury that in all likelihood hates Donald Trump and believes he's Adolf Hitler.
00:40:45.620 Now, if you believe someone's Adolf Hitler, that's not a hard guilty for whatever the crime is.
00:40:52.780 Yeah, it's just you hate him.
00:40:53.960 If it's Adolf Hitler, the answer is guilty.
00:40:56.960 Turn the book, Adam, and yes.
00:40:58.080 We also have a district judge who has demonstrated and earned a reputation as being one of the furthest left Democrat district judges on the federal bench in D.C.
00:41:08.420 who is presiding.
00:41:09.040 This trial is designed to directly interfere with the election.
00:41:13.080 But Jack Smith said this is not enough.
00:41:15.380 And so he filed a motion, a motion for a gag order.
00:41:19.860 So he's gone to this left-wing district judge, and he's asked for a gag order.
00:41:25.040 He says defendant has repeatedly and widely disseminated public statements attacking the citizens of the District of Columbia.
00:41:31.420 That's by daring to point out that 94 percent of D.C. voters vote Democrat, and that's going to be the jury pool.
00:41:37.700 The court, that's by pointing out that the judge has a record of being one of the most left-wing Democrats on the entire federal bench.
00:41:47.020 Prosecutors, that's by pointing out that Jack Smith is a hardcore partisan Democrat who's already abused his power repeatedly.
00:41:53.040 And prospective witnesses, the government, therefore, requests that the court, quote, enter a narrowly tailored order pursuant to local criminal rule 57C
00:42:05.780 that restricts certain prejudicial extrajudicial statements.
00:42:11.900 And in particular, what they ask for, the government seeks, this is a quote,
00:42:21.080 a narrow, well-defined restriction that is targeted at extrajudicial statements that present a serious and substantial danger of materially prejudicing the case.
00:42:30.760 The government's proposed order specifies that such statements would include A, statements regarding the identity, testimony, or credibility of prospective witnesses,
00:42:42.900 and B, statements about any party, witness, attorney, court personnel, or potential jurors that are disparaging and inflammatory or intimidating.
00:42:53.300 Now, let's be clear.
00:42:54.180 Who do they mean by potential witnesses?
00:42:55.960 They mean people like Bill Barr.
00:42:57.700 Yep.
00:42:57.960 And they mean people like Mike Pence.
00:43:00.940 So Mike Pence is literally running against Donald Trump right now for the Republican nomination for president.
00:43:10.040 And you have the Biden Department of Justice asking a federal judge issue an order that Donald Trump cannot say a critical word.
00:43:20.100 Of Mike Pence.
00:43:20.860 About one of his opponents in the primary.
00:43:23.060 Like, holy crap.
00:43:24.920 If this doesn't piss you off, you're not paying attention.
00:43:29.860 I mean, it is truly breathtaking.
00:43:31.840 You want to understand why this is election interference.
00:43:34.960 DOJ believes the federal court can order one political candidate you're not allowed to criticize your opponent.
00:43:42.900 Just don't say a word.
00:43:44.780 Don't say a word at all.
00:43:45.920 Despite the fact that you're facing a political persecution designed to interfere with the election, you're not allowed to say it.
00:43:53.200 And if you do, by the way, look, a gag order is typically enforced by contempt and by jail.
00:43:58.160 So what the Biden DOJ is proposing is if Donald Trump says a negative word about Mike Pence, that the U.S. Department of Justice will show up and arrest him and put him in jail for saying a negative word about one of his opponents running for president.
00:44:15.140 And by the way, they would do that, let's be clear.
00:44:17.020 They would love to arrest him again.
00:44:19.020 That's what they want and to keep him in jail.
00:44:21.880 This is election interference.
00:44:23.420 It is wildly unconstitutional.
00:44:25.740 It is a direct violation of the First Amendment.
00:44:29.200 It is also a direct violation of the right to vote, of our democratic process in this country.
00:44:34.480 Now, the Democrat talking heads will say, look, sometimes you have gag or gag orders.
00:44:40.560 If you're going against the mafia boss, you're going up against Al Capone, courts will enter orders saying, OK, you can't you can't intimidate witnesses.
00:44:49.800 You can't you can't say things that will prejudice the jury.
00:44:52.900 You're right.
00:44:53.340 In an ordinary criminal trial, those things can happen.
00:44:56.020 In an ordinary criminal trial, the defendant is not a leading candidate for president of the United States, actively running for president of the United States.
00:45:05.920 And my guess, I don't think the district court will grant this.
00:45:11.900 I don't know that.
00:45:12.880 I don't know this judge at all.
00:45:14.060 I've never met her.
00:45:15.820 Her record demonstrates she's left wing.
00:45:18.160 But I think if the district court granted this order, it would be exceptionally foolish.
00:45:24.100 Why?
00:45:24.500 Because the order would be appealed and it would be overturned on appeal.
00:45:27.680 I do not believe there's any way the Supreme Court of the United States would allow a leading candidate for president to be enjoined, to be ordered from a court.
00:45:37.740 You are not allowed to criticize your political opponents.
00:45:41.020 I mean, if you could envision imagine a debate.
00:45:43.080 Let's we have a subsequent Republican debate.
00:45:45.120 Trump shows up and Mike Pence blasts him and Trump turns and says, I'm sorry, I'm prevented by court order from responding.
00:45:53.720 Yeah, from defending myself.
00:45:55.880 That is not free speech.
00:45:57.840 That is not democracy.
00:45:59.600 That is not how our system operates.
00:46:02.120 And that's election interference.
00:46:04.500 Exactly.
00:46:05.420 Perfect example of what election.
00:46:07.160 Perfectly encapsulates.
00:46:08.120 And by the way, that's what they want.
00:46:10.140 Actually, what they want.
00:46:12.100 Look, they know in that circumstance, Donald Trump could not restrain himself.
00:46:15.800 Sure.
00:46:16.020 And then they would arrest him.
00:46:16.900 And then they would arrest him.
00:46:17.820 I mean, you can almost envision the jackbooted thugs sitting by the side of the debate.
00:46:22.700 And as Trump blasts his opponents, and he'll blast all his opponents because that's what he does.
00:46:27.760 You can almost envision them walking out in the middle of the debate and saying, sir, you're under arrest.
00:46:32.180 If that is not election interference, holy cow.
00:46:36.140 Well, it really shows just how extreme the Democrats have gotten.
00:46:42.260 This is horrific.
00:46:43.200 By the way, let's be clear.
00:46:45.260 I would be every bit as opposed to an order preventing Joe Biden from criticizing his opponents, from criticizing RFK Jr., from criticizing Donald Trump.
00:46:56.080 Now, to be clear, Joe Biden couldn't get up in the morning and speak without criticizing Donald Trump.
00:46:59.840 He says, good morning, Trump is the devil.
00:47:02.420 That's just how he addresses it.
00:47:04.240 And he also demonizes every other Republican because he's in his mental enfeeblement.
00:47:09.940 He's also become an even more vicious partisan.
00:47:13.060 But I would be equally and adamantly opposed to any court trying to prevent Joe Biden from attacking me or Trump or anybody else because that's what free speech and elections are all about.
00:47:24.120 But today's Democrats, they don't believe in democracy, which is why these indictments are happening.
00:47:29.540 They want to stop the voters from voting in a way they don't like.
00:47:32.700 And they don't believe in free speech, which is why they want to muzzle their leading opponent for president.
00:47:39.920 It is – it's a brave new world we're living in.
00:47:42.840 It certainly is.
