00:01:57.760 who's winning the Premier League this year?
00:01:59.740 What do you think is harder,
00:02:01.340 scoring a penalty kick or scoring a field goal?
00:02:03.540 Join us each week for a quick chat

00:02:08.000 Soccer. Just don't tell my coaches I said that.
00:02:10.880 Listen to Big Kick Energy on the iHeartRadio app,
00:02:13.540 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
00:02:16.660 I believe that whoever was in that room and did that was a murderer.
00:02:20.720 A new podcast series, Faultline Haditha, tells the story of a shocking crime and a cover-up at the highest levels of the United States Marine Corps.
00:02:29.700 If you've got five players and you offer immunity to four, you better be right about the fifth.
00:02:34.420 Because if you're not, then you've just given immunity to your killer.
00:02:37.400 Listen to Faultline Haditha on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
00:02:46.660 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz. Ben Ferguson with you as well.
00:02:50.480 Well, and if you're listening on radio stations around the country, we are so glad to have you with us.
00:02:55.560 Senator, we've got a lot to chat about on the show today, including we called out El-Sayed and the reporting being done around his connections to Muslim Brotherhood.
00:03:03.960 And guess what? The media had to do their job.
00:03:07.060 Well, we've seen real movement on that front.
00:03:09.620 But before we dive into the meat of the show, I want to take a moment to just pause and reflect and commemorate.
00:03:16.780 Fifty years ago this week, on October 14th, 1976, Milton Friedman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics.
00:03:27.900 Milton Friedman, I think, is the greatest economist of our lifetime.
00:03:31.300 And I got to tell you personally, a particularly meaningful connection for me is the day that I won the primary when I was running for Senate in 2012.
00:03:42.320 Well, that day would have been Milton Friedman's 100th birthday.
00:03:48.680 He had passed away already.
00:03:49.860 I never got to meet Milton Friedman, but it would have been his 100th birthday.
00:03:53.440 So when I stood up, having just won the primary and on my way to getting elected to the Senate,
00:03:58.640 I opened the speech by congratulating Uncle Miltie.
00:04:03.480 And I will say he was the most powerful and persuasive advocate for free market economics.
00:04:11.840 Yep.
00:04:12.320 of our lifetime he could engage if you've never watched uh actually you know what i i was gonna
00:04:21.280 say if you've never watched the exchange of him on phil donahue you should you know the beauty of
00:04:28.220 it is ben you and i have a podcast you've got a show i don't know if you know this where you can
00:04:32.360 actually show these things to people and so all right years we we are right now going to play for
00:04:38.220 you. Milton Friedman on Phil Donahue defending capitalism. Give a listen. Nobody did it better.
00:04:45.680 Yeah, you're absolutely right, Senator. And before we get to even more of these details,
00:04:48.760 I want to take a moment. I want to talk to you about Patriot Mobile. So it feels like our country
00:04:53.360 has momentum and our leaders are fighting to restore common sense and America first. But
00:04:59.000 we've seen what happens before. Conservatives, we get complacent and the left starts taking
00:05:03.780 back ground inch by inch or in a midterm election and we just can't let that happen now america needs
00:05:10.000 every one of us in the fight and a big part of that means supporting companies that actually
00:05:14.060 stand up and support our values that's why i'm proud to use and partner with an amazing company
00:05:19.980 called patriot mobile now patriot mobile gives you premium priority nationwide service on any of the
00:05:26.200 three major u.s networks that means you get the best coverage available period you get unlimited
00:05:31.600 data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming, and you get a 100% U.S.-based customer
00:05:38.300 support team. Now, switching has never been easier than it is right now. You can keep your same phone,
00:05:44.380 keep your number, and activate in minutes. Now, Patriot Mobile is so much more than a great
00:05:48.780 wireless service. They built a growing movement of Americans defending faith, family, and freedom
00:05:55.360 and the future of this country. And they do it because every time you pay your bill at no extra
00:06:00.240 costs to you, they take money out of it and donate it, which turns into millions of dollars
00:06:05.520 every year to organization fighting for our freedoms. Now, I want to give you a free month
00:06:10.400 of service as well. Go to PatriotMobile.com slash verdict or 972 Patriot. And if you use the promo
00:06:17.820 code verdict, you'll get a free month of service. That's PatriotMobile.com slash verdict or 972
00:06:24.480 Patriot and make that switch today. All right. So I want to play this clip you mentioned earlier,
00:06:28.960 Senator, and just to put it in perspective for you that may not know who Phil Donahue was,
00:06:33.520 he was like the Oprah Winfrey before Oprah Winfrey.
00:06:36.820 He was the king of what they described as daytime talk TV.
00:06:41.080 He was extremely liberal, by the way, and he had these kind of debates.
00:06:44.680 Milton Friedman being on his show is a perfect example of that.
00:06:48.100 This is from back in 1979. Take a listen.
00:06:51.540 When you see the greed and the concentration of power within,
00:06:54.820 And aren't you ever, did you ever have a moment of doubt about capitalism and whether greed's a good idea to run on?
00:07:02.800 Well, first of all, tell me, is there some society you know that doesn't run on greed?
00:07:07.900 You think Russia doesn't run on greed?
00:07:10.040 You think China doesn't run on greed?
00:07:12.520 What is greed?
00:07:14.260 Of course, none of us are greedy.
00:07:15.740 It's only the other fellow who's greedy.
00:07:18.680 This, the world runs on individuals pursuing their separators.
00:07:23.300 The great achievements of civilization have not come from government bureaus.
00:07:28.300 Einstein didn't construct his theory under order from a bureaucrat.
00:07:34.300 Henry Ford didn't revolutionize the automobile industry that way.
00:07:38.300 In the only cases in which the masses have escaped from the kind of grinding poverty you're talking about,
00:07:44.300 the only cases in recorded history where they have had capitalism and largely free trade,
00:07:50.300 if you want to know where the masses
00:07:52.680 are worse off
00:07:54.280 it's exactly
00:07:56.560 in the kinds of societies that depart from that
00:07:58.940 so that the record of
00:08:00.780 history is absolutely crystal clear
00:08:02.840 that there is no
00:08:04.740 alternative way
00:08:06.060 so far discovered of improving
00:08:08.620 the lot of the ordinary people
00:08:10.380 that can hold a candle
00:08:11.760 to the productive activities that are unleashed
00:08:14.880 by a free enterprise system
00:08:16.920 but it seems to reward not virtue
00:08:19.000 as much as ability to manipulate the system.
00:08:21.320 And what does reward virtue?
00:08:22.900 You think the communist commissar rewards virtue? 0.96
00:08:26.500 You think a Hitler rewards virtue? 0.98
00:08:29.180 You think, excuse me, if you'll pardon me, 0.97
00:08:31.300 do you think American presidents reward virtue?
00:08:35.120 Do they choose their appointees
00:08:37.400 on the basis of the virtue of the people appointed
00:08:39.880 or on the basis of their political clout?
00:08:42.560 Is it really true that political self-interest
00:08:45.260 is nobler somehow than economic self-interest?
00:08:49.980 You know, I think you're taking a lot of things for granted.
00:08:52.120 And just tell me where in the world you find these angels who are going to organize society for us.
00:08:58.800 Well, I don't even trust you to do that.
00:09:02.200 The way that he says at the end, I don't even trust you to do that.
00:09:05.860 And Phil, by the way, he smiles and laughs.
00:09:08.900 I got to say, I miss this type of conversation.
00:09:12.360 Yes.
00:09:12.540 Because you notice it wasn't this like back and forth intense debate.
00:09:16.420 it was a question and then another question it was a question yes another question it wasn't
00:09:22.360 you're the devil and understand phil donahue's audience this is like the audience that would
00:09:27.520 go see stephen colbert it was a very left-wing audience and you hear throughout that exchange 0.97
00:09:32.820 you see them they're laughing i mean what milton friedman was so good at doing was was defending
00:09:38.060 free markets in an in an affable in a charming and in a positive way and and and just saying
00:09:45.840 well, gosh, okay, you don't like greed. Is there some system you know of where there's not greed?
00:09:52.120 You don't think Putin is greedy? You don't think Xi is greedy? You don't think Maduro was greedy
00:09:56.520 until we put him in a prison cell? You know, asking those questions and doing so, you know,
00:10:04.120 Milton Friedman did so with a smile. He was so powerful. He was so persuasive. He did radio shows.
00:10:10.940 He would have been, if he had lived at the time of podcasting, Milton Friedman would have been an
00:10:15.640 incredible podcaster. Because he brought joy and charm and truth and blinding intellect. And he
00:10:23.700 founded what's called the Chicago School, which was a whole group of free market economists at
00:10:29.100 the University of Chicago. Milton Friedman is also the father of school choice. And that, for me,
00:10:34.780 I read Capitalism and Freedom as a teenager, and it inspired me. And school choice, when he laid
00:10:43.140 out, it was a theory. It was an idea of let's bring competition to regulated monopolies for
00:10:49.780 schools, because we see the regulated monopolies are producing some schools that are terrible,
00:10:55.160 that are not teaching kids, that have violence, that are failing kids. How do you change that?
00:11:00.340 You bring competition in, you give scholarships to kids, you let them choose. At the time,
00:11:05.580 it was a theory. 50 years later, it has been implemented in a majority of the states across
00:11:12.540 the country. And last year we passed my legislation, the federal school choice tax credit that's going
00:11:18.120 to kick in next year, that is going to unleash tens of billions and even hundreds of billions
00:11:23.100 of dollars of scholarships for kids. That's the manifestation of the power of Milton Friedman's
00:11:29.200 ideas, the power of freedom. And that's why on the day I won the primary, I began by dedicating
00:11:35.400 our victory to Uncle Miltie. And this week, the 50th anniversary of his Nobel Prize. Again, I
00:11:41.060 I dedicate this podcast to Uncle Miltie, an extraordinary voice for freedom.

00:13:48.920 If you're a football sicko like me,

00:14:43.680 most accurate kicker in NFL history,
00:14:45.460 but I was raised on the soccer pitches of Shanghai.
00:14:48.140 And I'm here with Timmy Tillman, LAFC star,
00:14:50.780 grew up in the academies of Germany,
00:14:52.320 and now under the bright lights of Major League Soccer.
00:14:54.940 So, we know a little something about kicking balls.
00:14:57.900 Maybe you're new to the game,
00:14:59.440 or you're ready to take your passion to the next level.
00:15:01.740 Each week, we'll tackle things like
00:15:03.340 who's winning the Premier League this year.
00:15:05.560 Playing like a number 10.
00:15:07.600 Do you know what that means?
00:15:08.660 Then we go over to France.
00:15:10.400 Ligue 1.
00:15:11.140 Ligue 1.
00:15:12.020 Ligue 1. 1.00
00:15:12.680 Oh, damn. 1.00
00:15:13.520 He knows more. 1.00
00:15:14.160 He's better than me.
00:15:14.980 What do you think is harder?
00:15:16.520 Scoring a penalty kick or scoring a field goal?
00:15:18.480 He's in the NFL, and I'm like, just a big factor.
00:15:20.600 I do know that's crazy.
00:15:21.660 Join us each week for a quick chat with your soccer-loving bros about the best sport in the world.
00:15:26.520 Soccer. Just don't tell my coaches I said that.
00:15:29.600 Listen to Big Kick Energy on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
00:15:35.480 A shocking crime and a cover-up at the highest levels of the United States Marine Corps.
00:15:41.460 Someone opened the door and was the primary shooter.
00:15:44.720 Is it possible you could do that and then suppress the memory?
00:15:46.880 A new podcast series, Faultline Haditha, tells the story the United States government wants to keep buried.
00:15:54.200 How can you not know there were women and children in there?
00:15:56.940 Are you going to tell us here that you don't know what happened that day?
00:15:59.740 Based on thousands of pages of previously classified documents and over 100 hours of secretly filmed video,
00:16:07.360 the truth about one of the most infamous crimes in Marine Corps history can finally be told.
00:16:12.760 If you've got five players, and one of them is guilty of murder at least, and you offer immunity to the other four, you better be right about the fifth.
00:16:21.280 Because if you're not, then you've just given immunity to your killer.
00:16:24.860 Listen to Faultline Haditha on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
00:16:35.840 Senator, let's talk about El Saeed.
00:16:38.080 we called it out on this show how the media basically asked questions to give him cover
00:16:44.480 without facts, without follow-up. We did their job for them, and it's now forced the media to
00:16:48.960 do exactly that. Yeah, no, that's exactly right. We've talked on this podcast multiple times about
00:16:54.220 how the two most dangerous candidates running in the entire country are Abdul Al-Sayed in Michigan
00:17:00.560 and James Tallarico in Texas. And there are moments when this podcast, when verdict is
00:17:06.580 really consequential. Our last podcast, we did a deep dive on Abdul El Saeed. And we started with
00:17:14.680 playing NBC, Kristen Welker's interview of El Saeed on Meet the Press. And it was the worst
00:17:21.920 example of journalistic malpractice I think we've seen in years, if not decades, where on Meet the
00:17:28.460 Press, Welker asked, said, there have been lots of charges that you and your family are affiliated
00:17:34.380 with the Muslim Brotherhood? Are you or your family affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood?
00:17:37.980 And Al-Sayed flat out lies and says, no, no, I'm not. And Welker goes, oh, okay, great. And Tim
00:17:45.780 Russert, who used to host Meet the Press, was almost certainly spinning in his grave because
00:17:50.860 Russert was a journalist. And when someone lied to him on Meet the Press, he had the receipts and
00:17:55.940 he would put up, for example, the tweet from Al-Sayed's sister repeatedly saying, multiple
00:18:01.780 tweets saying, my family has long supported the Muslim Brotherhood, has long been affiliated with
00:18:05.960 the Muslim Brotherhood. She did none of that. They would put up Abdul El Saeed, his own multiple
00:18:12.660 op-eds defending and advocating for the Muslim Brotherhood. She didn't do that. She simply said,
00:18:18.400 the analogy I use is it was like asking Al Capone, are you a criminal? No, I'm not a criminal. Okay,
00:18:23.460 good. NBC News is set. And so this podcast, we just filleted that. We laid out on Wednesday's
00:18:31.700 pod, if you didn't listen to Wednesday's pod, you should go back and listen to it. It's one of the
00:18:35.080 more important pods we did, laying out chapter and verse the evidence that Abdul al-Sayed supports
00:18:42.640 the Muslim Brotherhood, that his family has long supported the Muslim Brotherhood, that the biggest
00:18:47.620 donor to his super PAC is his father-in-law who founded an organization that is an unindicted
00:18:53.680 co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation criminal case, a criminal case of funneling
00:18:58.340 $12 million to Hamas. All of this is the evidence. All of this NBC failed to cover. Well, I'll tell
00:19:05.640 you, I think the heat, I think NBC actually felt embarrassed because they got called out
00:19:10.960 for complete lack of journalistic integrity. And so I think they felt a need to try to correct it,
00:19:16.800 to try to demonstrate that they're not purely hacks. And so a day or two later, an NBC reporter,
00:19:24.540 Tom Yamas had the chance to interview El Saeed. In this case, you actually saw a journalist behave
00:19:31.320 as a journalist. I would say we actually saw journalism like and national TV. It was amazing
00:19:35.920 to see this. It was refreshing. And it did not go well for Abdul El Saeed. Here, give a listen.
00:19:42.280 The Islamist movement, the Muslim Brotherhood. You don't have any ties. No. And your family
00:19:46.840 doesn't. No. But newly revealed past tweets from El Saeed's half sister appearing to call his
00:19:52.800 answer into question these tweets have emerged now had an amazing talk with my mom about her
00:19:57.480 activism in the muslim brotherhood during the early 70s while she was in college hashtag respect
00:20:02.360 my family has long been an mb let me finish praying for all my family that supports the mb
00:20:06.340 in egypt can you just explain it yeah tom uh it's funny to me i was born in 1984 right down the
00:20:12.420 street in rochester hills i was raised here in michigan went to the university of michigan
00:20:16.360 rebuilt the health department in the city led the health department in this county and you want to
00:20:20.280 asked me about what was happening in egypt in 1970 are you serious i get it but you were asked
00:20:23.900 a question is it kind of like an answer this is kind of like the same yeah i told i'm telling you
00:20:27.060 like we i have no ties we have no ties like so your mother had no ties i have never had these
00:20:31.340 conversations with my mother i wasn't raised you were you were unaware but but but i'm just telling
00:20:35.860 you that like you're using hearsay evidence from a tweet it's just not serious it's just serious
00:20:40.520 but you've also gone after the president for truthfulness you've also gone after the president
00:20:43.560 for truthfulness so when people ask you a question they all do expect the truth and do you think do
00:20:47.480 Are you insinuating that somehow I was lying?
00:20:50.100 I don't know. That's why I'm asking.
00:20:51.400 And I'm telling you I was not.
00:20:52.760 I love it. I was telling you I was not, and this is, my mom didn't raise me.
00:20:57.620 That's the new alibi is my mom didn't raise me.
00:21:00.020 That's a far stretch from what he said the other day, isn't it?
00:21:03.740 Are you insinuating that I was lying?
00:21:05.940 No, I'm not insinuating, and I'm stating flat out, you were lying.
00:21:10.460 You still are.
00:21:11.960 And look, I'm glad Tom Yamas did the tweets.
00:21:14.740 That's the first step, and that was good.
00:21:17.480 You could follow up then because there's more evidence than that. 0.66
00:21:20.620 OK, well, why did you write op-ed after op-ed after op-ed defending the Muslim Brotherhood, advocating for the Muslim Brotherhood, agreeing with the Muslim Brotherhood?
00:21:30.140 Why did you sign a letter urging the Muslim Brotherhood to purge the press and the police?
00:21:35.280 That's actually Abdul's record, his own record.
00:21:37.780 That's not his sister.
00:21:38.520 That's not his mom.
00:21:39.240 That's him.
00:21:40.900 NBC still hasn't asked him that.
00:21:42.480 They haven't asked him the question, now, why is it that your father-in-law is the single largest donor,
00:21:50.560 he's given over $400,000, to the super PAC supporting your campaign right now?
00:21:55.540 This is not in the 1970s, this is today.
00:21:58.480 Your campaign for Senate, your father-in-law, founded, was one of the original founders of ISNA,
00:22:06.640 the Islamic Society of North America.
00:22:08.400 ISNA is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation criminal prosecution
00:22:14.740 for being essentially an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood,
00:22:18.400 for being an unindicted co-conspirator and funneling $12 million to Hamas to fund terrorism.
00:22:24.780 NBC hasn't asked him that question either.
00:22:27.220 And here's another question they can ask him.
00:22:29.800 They can ask him, why did the Muslim Brotherhood vocally and energetically celebrate your winning the primary?
00:22:40.220 And in particular, let me read.
00:22:44.240 So here's a story from the Midwesterner.
00:22:46.300 Muslim Brotherhood official website celebrates Abdul El-Sayed's U.S. Senate primary victory.
00:22:52.600 Follows documented ties between El-Sayed and groups identified by the federal government as fronts for or extensions of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S.
00:22:59.800 The Muslim Brotherhood's official news site on Wednesday celebrated the former Wayne County health officials victory over Congresswoman Haley Stevens, described as, quote, one of the most prominent figures supporting the occupation within the Democratic Party.
00:23:16.100 Ikwan's online X account calls the site, quote, the Muslim Brotherhood official website, quote, during his election campaign,
00:23:25.220 Al-Sayed focused on calling for the cessation of unconditional U.S. military aid to the Zionist occupation,
00:23:32.000 criticizing the continued U.S. support of the war on Gaza,
00:23:36.300 stop and demanding that taxpayer money be redirected to domestic issues.
00:23:42.940 The article was titled, quote,
00:23:45.120 Abdul Rahman Al-Sayed conquers the Zionists and runs for the Senate.
00:23:50.860 That is the Muslim Brotherhood celebrating his victory, and there's a reason they're celebrating his victory, because Abdul Al-Sayed, his sister, his mother, his father-in-law, his entire family have a decades-long history of supporting the terrorist organization, the Muslim Brotherhood. 0.80
00:24:12.560 And if he's in the Senate, he will have access to classified information that will endanger the lives of U.S. servicemen and women and U.S. intelligent assets serving undercover. 0.72
00:24:22.900 All right.
00:24:23.580 I want to just talk to you real quick about the amazing work that's being done by the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
00:24:30.440 A flag can say what words sometimes can't.
00:24:33.600 We remember.
00:24:34.440 We stand with you.
00:24:35.460 And you're not alone.
00:24:36.280 Well, this year, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews brought that message to the world through its third annual Flags of Fellowship initiative.
00:24:45.380 More than 4,300 churches, synagogues, and universities across 17 different countries participated,
00:24:52.760 planting more than 5 million Israeli flags to remember the lives lost on October the 7th and stand with the Jewish people.
00:25:00.080 Now, if you just think about that, that's millions of flags, one powerful promise.
00:25:04.060 We will not turn our backs on you, and that promise must continue long after the flags come down.
00:25:10.420 For someone who is hungry, frightened, or in need of medical care, your support makes that promise real.
00:25:17.740 Now, your gift today not only helps deliver life-saving food, but also shelter and medical aid to the most vulnerable through the fellowship.
00:25:25.640 It brings help and the hope of knowing that Americans stand with Israel and the Jewish people.
00:25:31.040 Let them know they have not been forgotten.
00:25:33.440 Let them see that our commitment reaches beyond the flags.
00:25:38.220 Visit JOIN321.
00:25:41.640 Visit www.joinfof.org and you can give today.
00:25:48.060 That's joinfof.org today.
00:25:52.680 Senator, let's go back to you.
00:25:54.560 We started by talking about there's two of the most dangerous candidates in America,
00:25:58.740 El Saeed and then James Tallarico.
00:26:01.280 James Tallarico is a guy that is so extreme.
00:26:06.080 It is one of those where you go back to his record, and the record is just incredible. 1.00
00:26:12.380 One of the things in his record is his obsession with transing children.
00:26:17.260 And he was asked about it at the CNN Town Hall, and it shows you who he really is. 0.93
00:26:22.160 Well, Tallarico is extreme.
00:26:24.160 As I said, he and Al Saeed are the two most extreme candidates running today.
00:26:29.080 Tallarico is also tied in the Texas Senate race.
00:26:32.100 It is a dead heat.
00:26:33.200 He and Ken Paxson are tied.
00:26:35.240 The news just broke that James Tallarico raised $64 million in the third quarter,
00:26:41.620 which is the largest third quarter of any Senate candidate in history.
00:26:46.760 So no Senate candidate in the history of America has raised more money in the third quarter before Election Day.
00:26:51.500 That brings his total to more than $134 million that he has raised.
00:26:55.860 So all across the country, leftists are flooding money into Tallarico's campaign because they understand he's one of them.
00:27:03.060 He is a Marxist. He is an Islamist. He is a radical. 0.85
00:27:06.140 And understand, he is a young guy.
00:27:08.660 He literally came of age as a woke social justice warrior. 0.94
00:27:13.080 So all of the idiocies of woke, this guy believes. 0.79
00:27:17.180 So he says things like God is non-binary. 0.97
00:27:19.360 He says things like there's six different genders.
00:27:21.180 He says things like our immigration policy should be a welcome mat on our southern border to welcome illegal immigrants into America. 0.99
00:27:28.260 And he believes this stuff. But you're right, believes it through and through. 1.00
00:27:31.600 He is particularly obsessed with transgender issues and wanting to do transgender surgeries on kids. 0.74
00:27:40.360 He has been one of the most vocal and aggressive defenders of sterilizing and mutilating kids in support of the transgender ideology.
00:27:50.340 listen to him talking about about about this issue this uh discussion is a difficult one
00:27:56.640 it's one that requires nuance and thoughtfulness um in the state legislature
00:28:00.760 the republican majority tried to pass an extreme ban that would go after all kinds of different
00:28:09.560 forms of health care not just uh gender reassignment surgeries not just gender reassignment surgeries
00:28:15.740 which he wants you to believe is mainstream but he says it is extreme to actually want to stop
00:28:20.160 mutilation of children and sterilization of children.
00:28:24.420 You and I have said this a lot.
00:28:25.720 We keep saying it.
00:28:26.500 When they tell you what they believe in and who they are,
00:28:28.260 you need to believe them.
00:28:29.680 Yeah, this topic is not a difficult one.
00:28:31.880 It's not a complicated one.
00:28:33.260 It's not a nuanced one.
00:28:34.680 It is a simple question for a little boy,
00:28:36.760 for an eight-year-old boy. 1.00
00:28:38.200 Should you be able to cut his testicles off? 0.99
00:28:40.860 I find the answer to that very easy, very simple. 1.00
00:28:44.120 No, you do not have the right to cut the testicles off 0.99
00:28:47.700 of an eight-year-old boy. 0.94
00:28:48.660 You do not have the right to take an eight-year-old girl and to sterilize her, to engage in surgery or use chemicals that make her for the rest of her life unable to bear children.
00:29:01.320 An eight-year-old child lacks the emotional maturity to make those kind of decisions for herself or himself.
00:29:07.540 And any adult doing that is child abuse.
00:29:10.120 But in Tallarico's world, do you know what the child abuse is?
00:29:13.880 It is not sterilizing your kids.
00:29:16.800 And he has advocated if you refuse to put your child under the knife, if your child believes that he or she is transgender, that you are abusing your kids.
00:29:28.360 That is radical.
00:29:30.220 And that's who this guy is.
00:29:32.300 I want you to listen to his views now on on amnesty and that he wants.
00:29:37.380 I'm going to I'm going to spoil the headline.
00:29:41.200 He wants to grant mass amnesty to tens of millions of illegal immigrants.
00:29:45.480 Give a listen.
00:29:45.960 And then lastly, I think we have to build a pathway to citizenship for our neighbors who have been here for years and decades.
00:29:51.920 They should pay a fine. They should pay back taxes. They should learn English.
00:29:55.900 And if they can do all those things, I think they deserve a shot at joining our communities as full citizens.
00:30:02.240 There it is. Let's just give him amnesty. I love how, by the way, he's like, oh, 20 to 30 million illegals, 20 to 30 million illegals.
00:30:09.220 He wants to make them all citizens. I understand there's one reason for it.
00:30:11.960 He believes the illegals will all vote Democrat.
00:30:14.540 You think things are bad now.
00:30:15.860 You think the Democrats are voting for Marxist and Islamist now. 0.98
00:30:18.680 With 20 to 30 illegals, Texas turns blue. 1.00
00:30:21.480 The country is lost. 0.99
00:30:23.380 And he's being very explicit.
00:30:24.760 That's what he's going to fight to do.
00:30:26.920 Now I want you to listen to what he wants to do to oil and gas.
00:30:30.160 You know, Texas, oil and gas is a monster industry.
00:30:34.220 Millions of jobs in Texas depend on oil and gas.
00:30:37.520 Well, you know what?
00:30:38.160 James Tallarico wants to destroy those jobs for millions of Texans.
00:30:41.320 Listen.
00:30:41.960 I think the thing that frustrates me is the is the false equivalency right we say well no no
00:30:46.760 energy source is perfect they're all flawed except you know renewables um maybe uh are more variable
00:30:54.840 but then fossil fuels are destroying the planet and so it's like are those two things on equal
00:31:00.120 footing right um I guess my only point is I want Texas to be number one um in renewables going
00:31:06.360 forward in the 21st century right right now it feels a little bit like we're the you know like
00:31:10.440 like we're the number one supplier of cassette tapes in 1988, right?
00:31:14.960 It's time to transition because that's not going to last very long.
00:31:17.900 And so I guess I just don't know where the hostility comes from
00:31:20.620 in trying to figure out a safer, cleaner, greener path forward.
00:31:24.900 This is as radical as it gets.
00:31:26.900 And by the way, for those of y'all who are not watching online,
00:31:30.240 this is one that's worth watching on YouTube because he's in a legislative hearing.
00:31:35.440 He's in a legislative hearing. He's wearing his mask. It's very cute.
00:31:38.940 You can see the other people in the hearing are not wearing their masks.
00:31:42.840 So this is late. This is after COVID.
00:31:45.080 But, you know, it's a virtue signal.
00:31:46.960 And by the way, to this day, you still see people walking through airports wearing masks.
00:31:50.960 And I'm grateful for that because it's like self-identifying. 0.76
00:31:54.200 It's like holding up a sign going, I'm mentally ill. 0.99
00:31:57.600 I'm a crazy person. And I'm like, I'm glad. 0.97
00:31:59.880 Thank you for putting that display on. I know you're a crazy person. 0.99
00:32:02.680 I'm going to give you a wide berth and you can be worried about all the things that frighten you. 0.97
00:32:08.400 Well, little James Tallarico, he's wearing his mask saying that oil and gas is destroying the world and we have to transition away from it.
00:32:16.780 With no care that millions of jobs in the state of Texas would be obliterated, he's happy to take away your job.
00:32:24.720 Not only that, maybe you say, OK, not everyone works in oil and gas in Texas.
00:32:29.720 You know, some people work in ag. Some people work in, say, cattle. We're, you know, massive cattle producer.
00:32:35.640 Well, you know what? If you're a cattle producer, if you're a rancher, he wants to destroy your livelihood, too.
00:32:40.760 Listen to him talking about how much he hates meat.
00:32:45.220 But we have, I think, heard more and more issues of animal welfare.
00:32:49.680 I think not just because it's the right thing to do and the moral thing to do, but also it's, as all of you know, necessary to fight climate change.
00:32:57.160 It is now existential that we try to reduce our meat consumption and that we try to respect animals in all aspects of society.
00:33:05.640 And so I am proud to say that our campaign has officially become a non-meat campaign.
00:33:12.180 So we are only buying vegan products from our local vegan businesses.
00:33:20.040 Some of you may know Big Nonas.
00:33:21.520 They were little Nonas, and then they opened up Brook and Mortar, some of their Big Nonas.
00:33:25.380 But we just got our pizza from there today.
00:33:27.840 And so the point is, I think all of us, not just policymakers, but but everyone has to take personal responsibility in this effort.
00:33:36.560 Nothing says woke like a vegan campaign where you got your vegan pizza in a state that has like massive pride in our ranchers in Texas.
00:33:45.520 But you know what? You go all vegan, buddy. Knock yourself out.
00:33:48.660 Well, and again, the video Tallarico is, of course, wearing a mask while he's saying yes.
00:33:53.240 and uh and by the way you go to his campaign rallies now and he's got people showing up 0.53
00:33:58.000 wearing masks in in 2026 oh yes these people are nuts these these people are little woke
00:34:03.820 marxists and islamists and and and and listen to what he just said there he says it is existential 0.90
00:34:10.620 to reduce meat consumption if you are a farmer if you are a rancher he wants to destroy your
00:34:17.260 way of life and by the way one of the challenges in the midterms is a lot of farmers and ranchers
00:34:21.400 are not happy right now, are pissed off right now. And listen, the cost of diesel is too high,
00:34:26.800 the cost of fertilizer is too high. There are reasons that farmers and ranchers are unhappy.
00:34:31.220 I'll tell you what, if James Tallarico of Texas gets a senator who wants to destroy oil and gas
00:34:36.960 and destroy cattle ranching, that is millions and millions of jobs. And by the way, this show
00:34:42.360 is listened to all over the country. It turns out some of the rest of us like meat. We like
00:34:47.500 hamburgers we like steaks there's a lot of cattle ranching across the country although i will tell
00:34:52.320 you it's interesting they're parts of the country so for example mississippi do you know what they
00:34:57.020 call the process of raising cattle i you know what i'm actually embarrassed because of my ties
00:35:03.460 to old miss that i don't know this answer i'm hoping as soon as you said i'm like oh yeah that's
00:35:07.460 it so tell me so cindy hyde smith senator from from mississippi who used to be the ag commissioner
00:35:13.000 in Mississippi. She, in our Senate lunch, she described, she says she spends a lot of time 0.96
00:35:18.060 defending cattle farming. Yes, okay. And the rest of us look at her and we're like, cattle farming?
00:35:24.920 Yeah. What the hell is cattle farming? Do you guys like plant them in the ground and put fertilizer
00:35:29.380 on them? Like in Texas, we do cattle ranching. We don't farm our cattle. We ranch our cattle and we
00:35:34.760 farm soybeans and cotton and things you actually plant, but it's very weird. She's going back to
00:35:40.040 The pig farms. 1.00
00:35:40.920 That's where she gets it from, the pig farming. 0.94
00:35:42.920 I'm just saying, the southeast, they do cattle farming. 0.93
00:35:45.740 The rest of the country, they do cattle ranching.
00:35:48.260 Either way, I'm for the farmers.
00:35:50.140 I'm for the ranchers.
00:35:51.460 And this zealot wants to destroy your job.
00:35:54.900 If you have a job in oil and gas, he wants to destroy your job.
00:35:58.520 If you have a job in ag, he wants to destroy your job.
00:36:01.140 If you have a job in manufacturing, he wants to destroy your job.
00:36:04.080 And your kids, he wants to make it against the law for you not to mutilate your kids.
00:36:10.580 He's a radical candidate.
00:36:11.680 He's got to be defeated.
00:36:12.760 So we've been talking a lot about the midterms.
00:36:15.440 And look, between work and errands and family, we're all busy.
00:36:19.240 And with the elections around the corner, it can be hard to find time to vote.
00:36:23.120 Now, waiting until Election Day is a risk.
00:36:25.600 A flat tire or a sick kid could mean you miss out on making your voice heard.
00:36:30.600 That's why I need you to vote early.
00:36:32.880 And you can go to gopvotes.org to find your polling place and bank your vote today.
00:36:40.620 Now, if you live in the critical Senate battleground states of Maine or Ohio,
00:36:44.580 early voting is already underway starting this week.
00:36:48.180 The radical left has won Democratic primaries across the country,
00:36:52.320 and their turnout machine is ready to swarm the polls this fall.
00:36:55.880 That's why you need a plan to vote too.
00:36:58.840 President Trump is counting on you.
00:37:00.460 Our movement is counting on you.
00:37:01.920 I'm counting on you. So don't wait. Head to GOPVotes.org and make your plan to vote early today.
00:37:09.500 Paid for by the SLF PAC, not authorized by any candidate or candidates committee.
00:37:15.300 All right, Senator, I got to tell you, there was one exciting thing that happened, and I think we should highlight it.
00:37:20.440 You're going to Alaska to campaign there.
00:37:23.160 By the way, Ben, I want to jump in. I'm curious if every time you say, hey, Siri, play Verdict with Ted Cruz,
00:37:29.660 if people listening to this end up having their phone suddenly start doing it
00:37:34.280 if they're playing it out loud,
00:37:35.700 just how often you trigger Siri and Alexa to actually do that during the podcast.
00:37:40.080 So true story, there was someone that was listening to it,
00:37:42.820 apparently like on speakerphone, one of the shows, they sent it.
00:37:45.740 They said, dude, every time you say it, my Alexa starts playing the episode
00:37:48.700 that I'm already playing on my phone, which is pretty funny.
00:37:50.980 So I do think there's a little bit of humor in that for sure there.
00:37:55.040 Yeah, it would probably just happen to several people
00:37:57.900 and now they can genuinely laugh about it.
00:38:00.120 I was hoping it would happen in your house.
00:38:02.160 I was hoping one day it would hear me saying it. 0.99
00:38:04.520 There's no way on earth I would let an Alexa in my house.
00:38:07.860 Why would I want to tape record every conversation I have with my family at every time?
00:38:12.920 No, thank you.
00:38:13.800 By the way, have you seen the, when it says getting close to Christmas
00:38:17.460 and you walk by your wife's iPhone and you're like, Porsche, 911, Porsche, 911.
00:38:23.620 Hoping the ads pop up.
00:38:25.220 Have you seen those memes?
00:38:26.260 It makes me laugh.
00:38:27.020 I have not, mostly because it would not work with Heidi.
00:38:32.120 I could say that all day long, and I will not be getting a Porsche 911.
00:38:34.960 You walk by and just go, Rolex, Rolex, and just see if it starts getting ads.
00:38:39.220 See, there's things there that you can use to arrange.
00:38:41.000 From Heidi, I might get a tie.
00:38:43.740 You could get a tie.
00:38:45.180 So, you know, it's all relative.
00:38:46.940 So, look, this election, and I think this podcast has done a good job of breaking it down,
00:38:52.540 this is a divide between we and they.
00:38:55.820 Yes. 1.00
00:38:56.140 If you are a communist transgender witch, you ought to vote Democrat. 1.00
00:39:03.500 Those are your people. 1.00
00:39:04.800 That's who they're fighting for.
00:39:06.060 Don't forget, hold on.
00:39:07.040 You've got to add vegan in there, sir. 0.98
00:39:08.760 You've got to add in the communist vegan witch. 0.95
00:39:11.420 No, you don't. 0.99
00:39:12.000 100% of communist transgender witches are already vegan. 1.00
00:39:15.460 Okay, all right, fair point. 1.00
00:39:16.360 That is describing simple reality. 0.90
00:39:19.300 By the way, I don't think we have a large listenership of communist transgender witches on verdict. 1.00
00:39:25.260 Maybe we do. 1.00
00:39:25.860 Maybe there's a hidden pool I don't know about.
00:39:29.240 All the Democratic operatives out there working for Tallarico and others, they're listening.
00:39:32.520 You know, this is where you get to troll them a little bit.
00:39:34.940 They're drinking their soy lattes right now, talking about how you're the problem with America.
00:39:39.760 If you're a Bolshevik professor in the Ivy League, you ought to vote Democrat, too.
00:39:44.560 But if you're a truck driver, you need to show up and vote Republican. 0.82
00:39:48.280 If you are a steel worker, you need to show up and vote Republican.
00:39:51.080 If you are a farmer or a rancher, you need to show up and vote Republican.
00:39:54.280 If you're a waiter or a waitress, you just got no tax on tips, you need to show up and vote Republican.
00:39:59.280 If you are a cop or a firefighter, you need to show up and vote Republican.
00:40:03.600 If you're an oil field worker, you don't just need to show up and vote Republican.
00:40:07.120 You need to bring everyone you know to show up and vote Republican.
00:40:10.300 If you're a mom or dad who doesn't want your kids mutilated and indoctrinated, you need to show up and vote Republican.
00:40:19.480 And if you care about your family not being criminally assaulted by violent murderers and rapists and child molesters released from jail, you need to show up and vote Republican.
00:40:32.760 Or don't forget the amnesty for 20, 30 million illegal immigrants they want to give to cancel out your vote. 0.64
00:40:39.300 That's exactly right. 0.67
00:40:40.780 And this past week, we had a powerful illustration of the divide, the divide with blue collar workers.
00:40:46.360 President Trump was up in Alaska this week, did a huge rally there.
00:40:50.200 I'm actually in Alaska Friday and Saturday this week campaigning with Dan Sullivan.
00:40:54.340 Dan Sullivan is running for Senate. He is a dear friend of mine.
00:40:57.960 Alaska needs to reelect Dan Sullivan.
00:41:00.380 To show you just how dishonest the Democrats are, they went and recruited another guy named Dan Sullivan to put on the ballot so that the voters,
00:41:09.620 And by the way, the fake Dan Sullivan, his press release announcing his campaign was written by the consultant for the Democrat candidate.
00:41:18.600 It is purely let's deceive the voters.
00:41:21.560 Let's get one or two or three percent of the voters that vote for the wrong Dan Sullivan think, oh, that's the guy I like.
00:41:26.360 I'll vote for him.
00:41:27.460 And they want to they want to squeak in and steal a Senate seat by deceiving and lying to their voters.
00:41:34.580 That's what's going on.
00:41:35.620 And I'm going to spend two days campaigning with Dan in Alaska.
00:41:39.360 President Trump was there this week, had a fantastic rally, and he did something really important.
00:41:46.060 I'm going to read to you from Fox News.
00:41:48.100 Trump signs pardons for Alaska diesel mechanics on stage during rally touting major energy deals.
00:41:54.680 The president declared every federal permit granted for the 800-mile pipeline while pardoning Clean Air Act defendants.
00:42:04.200 President Donald Trump announced pardons for two Alaska diesel mechanics during a midterm rally Tuesday night in Wasilla,
00:42:10.320 bringing the men on stage to sign clemency documents as he highlighted major energy investments and infrastructure projects in the last frontier.
00:42:19.400 Trump identified Zachary Subok and Patrick Fleming, two co-owners of an Anchorage diesel repair shop,
00:42:25.660 who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the Clean Air Act in 2022.
00:42:30.840 I'm giving each one of the three an unconditional pardon, Trump told supporters,
00:42:35.640 also referencing earlier pardons for McKenzie Mack Spurlock, a Wasilla diesel shop owner.
00:42:41.800 So understand, these three diesel shop owners came in to repair diesel trucks.
00:42:47.640 And the Biden administration prosecuted them for helping the truck drivers keep their trucks on the road
00:42:54.520 and forced them, brought a criminal case against them.
00:42:58.480 President Trump pardoned them.
00:43:00.240 I want you to listen to President Trump in Alaska this week.
00:43:04.960 And your governor did also, by the way.
00:43:08.100 But at their urging, I gave him a full, unconditional pardon.
00:43:20.280 Is that you?
00:43:21.300 Come on up here.
00:43:27.880 He's a young, nice-looking guy.
00:43:43.680 Wow.
00:43:45.240 And two other Wasilla truckers were also wrongly charged,
00:43:49.680 and I am pleased to announce that I am pardoning them, too, effective immediately.
00:43:54.720 Their name is Zachary Shubuck and Patrick Fleming.
00:44:02.900 Come on up here, fellas.
00:44:04.060 Come on up here. 0.97
00:44:08.460 Bring me the pardons.
00:44:10.320 One of those.
00:44:11.100 Thank you.
00:44:20.180 Think of it.
00:44:21.700 They want to put him in jail for 10 years because they fixed an engine.
00:44:26.260 How sick. 0.61
00:44:27.100 Now, if you murder somebody, no problem. 0.99
00:44:29.560 Unless a Republican does the murdering, then it's, you know, the electric chair, right?
00:44:33.920 Senator, you look at this, and it's just one of those moments where a president can make a huge difference in someone's life, and he did it for these three individuals.
00:44:42.060 Yeah, look, if you care about jobs, you've got to show up and vote, and you need to vote Republican.
00:44:46.920 You need to vote Republican in this election. 0.85
00:44:48.580 If you care about blue-collar jobs, truckers, construction workers, if you care about not having radicals and communists and Islamists taking over the country, I can't believe I'm saying those words, but that's the reality.
00:45:02.160 You've got to come out and vote, and you've got to keep Republicans in the House and Senate.
00:45:06.580 We'll see you back here on this radio station next week.
00:45:09.620 And don't forget, download Verdict with Ted Cruz every day that we publish, wherever you get your podcasts.
00:45:15.200 And the Senate and I will see you back here again real soon.

00:46:35.060 Here's what you can expect from the podcast in our second season.
00:46:37.880 I would suggest for these preseason games,
00:46:40.180 I think they should do what they do on the NFL draft. 0.84
00:46:44.160 You know, when coverage of the NFL draft is basically for moms.
00:46:47.200 And they're just like, hey, he has a dog named Spartan.

00:47:13.260 If you've got five players and you offer immunity to four, you better be right about the fifth.
00:47:17.980 Because if you're not, then you've just given immunity to your killer.
00:47:20.940 Listen to Faultline Haditha on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
