Verdict with Ted Cruz - Major Hostage Deal： 50 Israeli Women & Children to be Freed, but Hamas Given Time and Fuel to Rebuild, plus Biden's Woke War on 'Racist Roads'

00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.

00:00:02.540 Guaranteed human.

00:00:05.280 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.

00:00:09.380 Obviously, many of you are going to be on the road as you're listening to this.

00:00:12.880 Be safe with your family over Thanksgiving.

00:00:15.980 And there is some good news.

00:00:18.180 There is a ceasefire that has been announced.

00:00:21.660 Israel has approved a ceasefire with Hamas.

00:00:24.840 We're being told that 50 hostages are set to be released.

00:00:30.560 Senator, this is obviously a significant movement.

00:00:33.820 They're saying it would be a five-day ceasefire.

00:00:35.860 Tell us everything that you know.

00:00:38.040 Well, the Israeli cabinet announced this yesterday.

00:00:40.280 And it is a deal that they have negotiated with Hamas. 0.90

00:00:44.280 That Hamas has committed to releasing 50 hostages, women and children, Israelis that they captured.

00:00:51.920 And that's reason to celebrate.

00:00:54.400 I have to tell you, I have sat down with multiple family members of hostages who were taken in Israel.

00:01:01.760 And it is truly horrific.

00:01:03.320 Over 200 hostages were taken.

00:01:05.320 And every one of them right now is praying that their loved ones, that their wives, their mothers, their daughters, their children,

00:01:14.240 are among the 50 that are set to be released.

00:01:17.620 That is a big deal.

00:01:18.580 Now, the Israeli war cabinet debated for five hours about whether to do this.

00:01:24.540 And the reason they debated for five hours is any time that you are negotiating in exchange for hostages,

00:01:31.680 you are giving up significant things.

00:01:33.740 And there are serious downsides to this deal.

00:01:39.560 But the Israeli government has decided it's in their interest to make this deal.

00:01:45.680 The downsides are as follows.

00:01:47.260 Number one, in exchange for the 50 hostages being released, Israel has apparently committed to releasing 150 Palestinians that are in jail.

00:01:59.800 And according to the terms of the agreement, the Palestinians being released are also women and children.

00:02:06.080 Now, on the face of it, Israel doesn't take hostages.

00:02:10.320 So these are not civilians that were taken as hostages, but rather they are criminals who were arrested for committing crimes

00:02:18.400 and presumably crimes directly related to terrorism.

00:02:22.240 And so even though they are described as children, we have not as of yet seen the list of the 150 Palestinians to be released.

00:02:32.300 And Hamas, with regularity, uses teenagers, uses 16, 17-year-olds to commit acts of terrorism.

00:02:39.740 So it is entirely possible that among those 150 being released are a number of people who have been terrorists

00:02:48.040 and who, upon being released, will return to being terrorists fighting with Hamas.

00:02:53.160 We don't know that for sure, but that is a very likely risk.

00:02:58.760 In addition, under the terms of the agreement, Israel is engaging in a four-day pause in fighting in Gaza.

00:03:08.240 And so it is stopping. Israel has been making major advances in Gaza working to eliminate Hamas.

00:03:16.020 The four-day pause is going to give Hamas time to restock, time to rebuild, time to get stronger. 0.95

00:03:23.260 And as a component of this deal, Israel agreed to allow roughly 300 aid trucks per day into Gaza from Egypt.

00:03:33.460 Now, included in those aid trucks will be fuel trucks, and that fuel will be a significant benefit for Hamas. 0.96

00:03:42.040 Hamas right now, many of the Hamas terrorists are hiding in tunnels in Gaza.

00:03:47.360 And those tunnels are kept lighted and kept ventilated using generators.

00:03:54.600 And so they need the fuel to stay in the tunnels to evade capture, to evade being taken out by the Israeli military.

00:04:02.740 And so allowing that much fuel to flow into Gaza enables Hamas to be stronger. 0.73

00:04:08.840 And so the consequence of this is it is going to be more difficult to follow through on Israel's stated commitment,

00:04:15.720 a commitment that I believe is critical that they follow through on, to utterly eliminate Hamas, because Hamas will become stronger. 0.99

00:04:22.960 But that being said, 50 hostages coming home is a big, big deal.

00:04:28.040 And so we should celebrate 50 hostages coming home.

00:04:32.260 When you talk about what this means for the future, there's going to be some people that are going to be very concerned over,

00:04:38.360 OK, does this incentivize terrorist organizations, not just Hamas, but others, to start taking hostages,

00:04:44.960 because then you can use them to your advantage in the future.

00:04:48.540 When, you know, we've had a quote unquote policy of we do not negotiate with hostages and with terrorists yet.

00:04:54.780 Clearly, this administration, the Biden administration has done that.

00:04:57.540 We saw it with Iran. 0.99

00:04:58.540 We've also seen it with what happened in Russia, for example, when we decided that we would get back a NBA player,

00:05:05.500 but leave another man over in Russia in that trade for the merchant of death.

00:05:09.940 This concerns me, obviously, from that perspective, from a national security standpoint for Americans, your reaction from that perspective.

00:05:19.180 So, look, of course, it incentivizes the taking of hostages.

00:05:22.620 And one of the tragedies, this is what happens when terrorists take hostages, is that it forces individuals and families,

00:05:31.100 it forces countries to make bad decisions and to make sometimes terrible deals.

00:05:36.560 Now, sometimes the deals are really terrible, such as the Biden administration giving $6 billion for five American hostages,

00:05:45.740 basically setting a bounty of $1.2 billion per American you take hostage.

00:05:51.460 We don't know if among these these 50 hostages being released, if any of them are Americans.

00:05:57.360 We do know that Hamas on October 7th and in the aftermath of it murdered 31 Americans.

00:06:02.880 We know roughly a dozen Americans are held hostage.

00:06:06.520 We don't know if any of these hostages being released are Americans.

00:06:10.540 But, yes, and I will say, look, Israel has been in this situation before when you are fighting terrorists and they're taking hostages.

00:06:21.020 Israel is engaged in hostage negotiations.

00:06:24.100 Israel is engaged in prisoner exchanges before, and then that's part of being a nation at war.

00:06:29.880 But I'm sure it is why the Israeli war cabinet debated and debated for five hours.

00:06:36.100 And I'm sure this was not an easy decision, and it was not an easy decision because it does incentivize the taking of hostages.

00:06:50.040 In terms of the war cabinet, only three members of the war cabinet voted no.

00:06:55.160 They were all ministers of the Jewish Power Party, which is in Israeli politics on the far right.

00:07:03.520 There were another three ministers of the religious religious Zionist Party who, before the meeting, said they were going to vote no.

00:07:13.540 And they changed their position after hearing from the heads of the security services who recommended approving the deal.

00:07:20.480 And I know everyone in the Israeli government wrestled with this because, as I said, this will make Hamas stronger. 1.00

00:07:29.300 That is a bad thing.

00:07:30.680 But when 50 women and children come home and hug their moms and dads and hug their brothers and sisters and hug their husbands, that is an incredible thing, and that is worth celebrating.

00:07:47.100 Now, at the same time, while we are celebrating the return of 50 hostages, we need to remember that there are between 150 and 200 additional hostages.

00:08:00.080 And Prime Minister Netanyahu has said that if Hamas continues releasing hostages, that he will extend the pause in the invasion of Gaza, and he will extend it at a rate of 10 hostages per day.

00:08:19.000 So Hamas can buy additional time by releasing hostages.

00:08:24.000 And there's a trade-off that's a horrible trade-off, but it's worth remembering, Ben.

00:08:30.060 Israel laid out two objectives in the days immediately following October 7th.

00:08:36.220 Number one was get the hostages back, get them home.

00:08:38.740 And this accomplishes a significant step towards that.

00:08:43.880 There are still far too many hostages, but 50 hostages coming home is a major step forward.

00:08:50.340 But secondly, Israel pledged to utterly and completely eliminate Hamas.

00:08:56.360 That was the right thing to do, and I will say I very much hope that as this deal goes into effect, that we know we will see the global community and all of the left and all of the global press and all of the woke press leaning on Israel not to resume the invasion of Gaza, not to resume trying to take out Hamas. 0.84

00:09:21.920 And I very much fear the Biden White House will be the loudest among those voices saying, OK, enough, don't go after Hamas anymore.

00:09:32.560 And I think it will be incumbent on all of us to say once the four-day agreed period is over, once Hamas has stopped releasing hostages, Israel needs to finish the task it set out of eliminating Hamas. 0.72

00:09:46.140 I tell you what, men, the holidays are here, and if you're like me and you're already tired and you're fatigued,

00:09:51.920 because of the holiday shopping, the Black Friday shopping, just the countless and endless events you've got to go to and all the boxes you've got to check over the holidays,

00:10:01.620 well, I've got something that can help you out.

00:10:03.560 And this year, I feel a lot different than I did last year.

00:10:07.580 Because of my friends at CHALK, CHOQ.com.

00:11:32.400 How did they come up with the 50 people that would be selected?

00:11:36.720 Was that coming from the Israeli side?

00:11:39.300 Do we know that?

00:11:40.620 And then what is the total number of American hostages at this point?

00:11:45.420 What is that number count that we have so far that are still waiting?

00:11:48.640 So, on the second point, we don't have a firm number.

00:11:52.460 We know 31 Americans were killed.

00:11:54.860 We believe roughly a dozen Americans were taken hostage.

00:11:58.680 To date, four hostages have been released.

00:12:01.500 Two of them were Americans.

00:12:02.820 Two of them were Israelis.

00:12:04.400 So, we assume there are about 10 American hostages still in captivity.

00:12:11.280 Some of them may be killed.

00:12:12.320 We don't know the status of them, and we don't have an exact count.

00:12:16.260 But it is in the range of 10 American hostages and two who have already been released and 31 who were murdered on October 7th.

00:12:27.120 Well, I want to ask you also about some of the videos that have been coming out.

00:12:32.080 And I think it's really important that we highlight this because so many, Senator, in the media have been refusing to talk about this.

00:12:39.460 And that is the extensive tunnel system that now clearly is under the hospital in Gaza.

00:12:48.200 And also now we know that some of these hostages were taken to that hospital after they were taken hostage.

00:12:56.260 It is very clear, it's obvious, that this hospital in Gaza that everyone had heard about, that apparently Israel bombed, which didn't actually happen,

00:13:08.100 has clearly been used in essence like a base for Hamas, a human shield for Hamas.

00:13:14.460 And the tunnel system, which they have now been able to find, that is going in and out of that hospital,

00:13:19.480 is incredibly an intensive underground network.

00:13:23.560 And some of this fuel, like you mentioned, goes directly to turning those lights on and the ventilation of that tunnel system,

00:13:30.080 which Israel has found and is obviously trying to get rid of.

00:13:33.860 That is exactly right.

00:13:35.600 And listen, this has been a point that has been true for a long time.

00:13:38.820 In fact, nine years ago in 2014, I wrote an op-ed that was entitled,

00:13:44.700 A Tale of Two Hospitals, One in Israel, One in Gaza.

00:13:49.180 And I'll read you the beginning of that op-ed I wrote on July 30th of 2014.

00:13:54.760 If you want to judge a nation, look at how it treats its most vulnerable civilians.

00:14:00.560 Hospitals are a good place to start.

00:14:02.820 Al-Shifa, the largest hospital in Gaza, is housed in a converted British Army barracks.

00:14:11.240 Some 126 miles north is Israel's Ziv Medical Center in Zafat.

00:14:18.480 Hamas, which controls Gaza, is using the civilian population as human shields.

00:14:24.940 The terrorist group has placed its missiles in schools and mosques,

00:14:29.260 and even more deplorably, burrowed its command center underneath the Al-Shifa hospital.

00:14:36.860 Hamas's activities are taking place in plain sight. 0.84

00:14:41.020 Just two weeks ago, and mind you, this was back in 2014,

00:14:44.580 the Washington Post described Al-Shifa as a, quote,

00:14:48.380 de facto headquarters for Hamas leaders.

00:14:52.060 These terrorist facilities are, of course, well known,

00:14:54.860 not only to the foreign journalists who interview Hamas fighters there,

00:14:59.260 but also to the Israelis, who would by necessity consider such a location

00:15:03.920 a legitimate target for any action against Hamas.

00:15:07.920 However, the terrorist group has tried to immunize their headquarters by digging it

00:15:13.160 under a hospital, leaving Israel no option but to target Al-Shifa 0.65

00:15:18.560 if they want to get rid of the Hamas terrorist leadership.

00:15:22.540 Now, as you noted, we've seen those videos now.

00:15:24.880 It's that same hospital, Al-Shifa, and we've now seen the videos of the tunnels

00:15:29.480 going under that hospital, and they do it deliberately because they're trying to place

00:15:33.760 the IDF in an impossible choice.

00:15:37.460 Either you don't target the headquarters,

00:15:41.540 in which case the terrorists continue to flourish and wage war and plot murder of civilians,

00:15:48.380 or the IDF does target the headquarters,

00:15:53.100 and if they did it using bombs, the result would be hundreds of dead Palestinians,

00:15:58.940 the women and children who are patients in the hospital that Hamas is using as human shields.

00:16:03.940 Now, what has happened?

00:16:05.420 Israel did not bomb the hospital, but the IDF forces have gone in,

00:16:09.880 the ground forces, and they've exposed the headquarters that was there,

00:16:13.780 and that that's precisely how Hamas uses Palestinians, 1.00

00:16:18.540 hoping that they will be casualties of war because they then know that the useful idiots in the media 1.00

00:16:26.480 will use those casualties of war to demonize and undermine the state of Israel. 0.99

00:16:32.740 When you look at moving forward with this war, it seems to me, and I may be wrong,

00:16:38.660 but it seems like we are far from the end of this, and that's because of Israel's stated objective,

00:16:44.600 and that doesn't seem to be changing because of this hostage negotiation,

00:16:51.200 this ceasefire for four days, and again, you mentioned earlier,

00:16:55.240 you can extend that by releasing 10 more hostages each day if Hamas wants to do that.

00:17:01.480 Obviously, Hamas is going to use this time, as you said, 0.93

00:17:04.540 to basically replenish their supplies and reorganize,

00:17:07.360 and that's bad for Israel, that's bad for anyone that agrees that terrorism is wrong and evil,

00:17:14.220 but you look at the reality of this, there is still a lot that has to be accomplished to get rid of Hamas, 0.66

00:17:20.860 and the words of Netanyahu, they're not going to stop until this is over.

00:17:25.600 I think people need to kind of have a mentality of,

00:17:27.980 this isn't a week away from finishing or two weeks away.

00:17:31.300 This is still going to take some time.

00:17:33.280 This is dismantling a massive terrorist organization.

00:17:35.760 Yeah, in all likelihood, this war is going to take a matter of months.

00:17:41.180 It's going to be an extended operation, in particular because Hamas is burrowed in. 0.96

00:17:45.900 It's burrowed in in the midst of civilian targets.

00:17:48.360 They deliberately are in hospitals.

00:17:50.480 They deliberately are in schools.

00:17:52.140 They are deliberately in the tunnels, and as a result of 300 trucks a day coming in,

00:17:56.340 including fuel trucks, they're going to replenish their fuel supplies,

00:17:59.820 which means they can stay in the underground tunnels.

00:18:01.760 Some of the tunnels the Israelis have discovered, others they have not.

00:18:05.520 It's very hard to locate a tunnel that is buried underneath a dense urban environment.

00:18:11.840 We also know that in the coming days and weeks, we're going to see continued propaganda.

00:18:17.520 You know, one episode we did of Verdict last week.

00:18:20.180 We show, this was one of the video episodes that we did on YouTube,

00:18:24.160 and we showed video of an individual that appears to be a crisis actor,

00:18:29.380 and there are multiple instances of him essentially working for Hamas

00:18:33.260 and pretending to be all sorts of different characters in Gaza,

00:18:36.940 from hospital workers to an injured person to a dead person.

00:18:40.040 I mean, he's put out multiple videos where he miraculously is pushing forward

00:18:44.880 the Hamas propaganda in every instance, and he put out the raw footage that was designed

00:18:51.960 to show the horrible atrocities carried out by the Israelis.

00:18:56.580 And as we pointed out, multiple news entities, including CBS, picked up his footage

00:19:02.840 and ran at his news, and they just identified the source as, quote, social media.

00:19:08.020 It's not difficult to find out that this guy is widely considered a fraud online,

00:19:13.080 but yet the narrative fit the story that CBS and the fake media wanted to tell.

00:19:20.580 And one of the astonishing aftermaths of that is after we put out our verdict,

00:19:28.700 YouTube censored our podcast.

00:19:31.280 And in particular, if you want to watch that episode,

00:19:33.740 if you just try to click on YouTube and you're not logged in,

00:19:37.680 it will not let you watch that episode.

00:19:39.360 It said you must sign in and you must give your age.

00:19:42.940 So if you're under 18, you're not allowed to watch that episode.

00:19:46.420 And it gives a warning of graphic content.

00:19:49.180 And listen, the result of that is substantially throttling

00:19:54.020 the number of people who can see that episode.

00:19:56.980 And it is an instance, it is a powerful instance of what I talk about

00:20:01.520 in my new book that just came out, Unwoke,

00:20:04.800 How to Defeat the Cultural Marxism in America,

00:20:06.960 where you have big tech shilling for the corporate media

00:20:12.040 because neither big tech nor the corporate media

00:20:16.780 wants you to know that they are disseminating false propaganda.

00:20:21.500 And this is an example of the corruption we see.

00:20:24.580 By the way, YouTube to date still hasn't fixed it.

00:20:27.040 So it is right now age-gated on YouTube.

00:20:30.020 The irony is they claim it's violent content.

00:20:33.620 We're literally showing a CBS News broadcast.

00:20:36.600 I don't think they age-gate CBS News.

00:20:40.060 And in fact, the content by all appearances appears to be fake.

00:20:44.740 So it is fake violence that happened to be shown on CBS News

00:20:48.140 that CBS News won't admit is likely fake.

00:20:51.340 And yet YouTube says,

00:20:52.900 we're going to limit the number of people who can see this.

00:20:55.720 Yeah, it's amazing.

00:20:56.580 When this happened, you and I were texting each other and honestly in shock.

00:21:00.060 It was like, are you kidding me?

00:21:01.620 We're exposing this and now they want to just silence it,

00:21:04.540 shut it down and act like it never happened.

00:21:06.800 You can grab that episode on YouTube and share it.

00:21:10.160 Make sure you share it and log in.

00:21:12.220 And so you can see what we expose

00:21:14.620 and just how much the left will throttle things

00:21:17.360 that they don't want to get out there.

00:21:19.040 This is a perfect example of it.

00:21:21.020 And Ben, you know, it's striking.

00:21:22.120 We've been doing Verdict now for several years.

00:21:25.680 This is the first instance that YouTube has stepped forward

00:21:28.600 and blocked our content.

00:21:30.240 So we've talked about COVID.

00:21:32.440 At the early parts of COVID,

00:21:34.280 we laid out in Verdict, in this podcast,

00:21:37.320 evidence that the COVID virus escaped from a Chinese lab

00:21:41.240 from the Wuhan Institute for Virology.

00:21:43.740 This was the same time that Twitter and Facebook

00:21:46.660 were suppressing anyone making that point.

00:21:49.660 For whatever reason, YouTube did not block our early podcast,

00:21:54.020 even though we were getting a lot of viewers

00:21:56.360 that were watching it.

00:21:57.800 And we've talked a lot about taking on

00:22:02.220 the corruption of Washington.

00:22:03.940 And of every episode we've done,

00:22:05.760 it says something that this is the first one they blocked.

00:22:09.180 And I think it's the combination that big tech

00:22:12.220 is all in with the corporate media

00:22:14.900 in driving their cultural Marxist narrative

00:22:18.560 that Israel are the bad guys 1.00

00:22:21.040 and the Hamas terrorists are the oppressed victims.

00:22:24.260 And anything that gets away in the way of that narrative,

00:22:27.400 they're more than willing to abuse their power.

00:22:29.960 It relates to, you know,

00:22:31.640 the same episode we talked about TikTok

00:22:33.720 and the trending videos on TikTok

00:22:38.900 of young people praising Osama bin Laden,

00:22:42.560 which sadly the CCP is aggressively pushing.

00:22:45.640 On one level, you can understand

00:22:47.600 why the Chinese communists are doing that,

00:22:50.320 how harmful that is.

00:22:52.140 But YouTube is ostensibly an American company.

00:22:56.000 Why is YouTube doing that?

00:22:58.840 Yeah.

00:22:59.080 And the question you have to ask is,

00:23:01.120 is it just because they want to silence

00:23:03.020 and censor free speech?

00:23:04.980 And specifically,

00:23:07.160 do they want to censor views they disagree with?

00:23:10.960 That's my takeaway from this

00:23:12.640 because I don't believe that this was an accident at all.

00:23:15.440 This was us taking a stand,

00:23:17.160 showing people what's happening

00:23:18.600 and letting people know

00:23:20.280 that there are these crisis actors

00:23:21.780 on the side of the terrorists

00:23:22.960 that are working for Hamas 0.85

00:23:25.060 and they can't stand for that narrative

00:23:27.260 to get out there.

00:23:28.660 Well, if it was an accident,

00:23:30.500 it is possible that their algorithms flagged it

00:23:34.440 because it is images that are purported,

00:23:37.720 although we believe these are fake images,

00:23:39.640 purported to be of people

00:23:41.420 with what appears to be blood on them

00:23:44.620 screaming after a rocket attack.

00:23:47.000 Now, as I said, CBS News aired it.

00:23:50.320 And oddly enough,

00:23:52.240 YouTube doesn't block CBS News.

00:23:54.540 But I could envision an algorithm

00:23:57.000 that captured someone screaming

00:23:58.860 covered with blood and blocks it initially.

00:24:01.620 But this is at the point now,

00:24:03.260 it's been some time,

00:24:04.260 there have been multiple news stories on this.

00:24:06.960 And if it were caught initially by the algorithm,

00:24:09.880 a human being could correct it.

00:24:11.780 And so whether a human being decided at the outset,

00:24:14.380 nope, I don't want this to be seen,

00:24:17.120 or whether the algorithm decided at the outset

00:24:19.880 and a human being just said,

00:24:22.340 nope, we're not going to correct it,

00:24:23.960 either way,

00:24:25.840 YouTube and Google, which owns YouTube,

00:24:28.860 have culpability for it.

00:24:31.420 For the holidays,

00:24:32.200 a lot of you are probably thinking about Black Friday deals,

00:24:35.280 and you're thinking about ways to get maybe a new cell phone.

00:24:38.540 Well, how would you like to get that new cell phone

00:24:40.600 and, every time you use it,

00:24:42.760 stand up for the values you believe in,

00:24:44.760 getting rid of the woke propaganda of Big Mobile.

00:24:48.160 You may not realize this,

00:24:49.460 but Big Mobile gives big donations

00:24:51.900 to hardcore lefties running for office

00:24:55.700 at the local, state, and national level.

00:24:57.860 They also give massive donations to Planned Parenthood.

00:25:02.320 Well, that's why I want you to know

00:25:03.920 and make the switch with your cell phone to Patriot Mobile.

00:25:07.360 For more than a decade now,

00:25:08.940 Patriot Mobile has been America's only Christian conservative wireless provider.

00:25:13.520 And when I say only, trust me,

00:25:15.540 they are the only one.

00:25:16.980 My friends at Patriot Mobile had one mission in mind,

00:25:21.060 and it's a mission that immediately made me want to work with them.

00:25:24.140 It was to give people dependable nationwide cell phone coverage,

00:25:28.440 and they do that by giving you the ability to access all three major networks,

00:25:33.280 which means you get the same coverage that you've been accustomed to

00:25:36.500 without funding the left.

00:25:37.980 Now, when you switch to Patriot Mobile,

00:25:39.440 you're also sending a very clear message

00:25:41.080 that you support free speech,

00:25:43.560 religious freedom,

00:25:44.760 the sanctity of life,

00:25:46.200 the Second Amendment,

00:25:47.220 as well as supporting our military,

00:25:49.100 our veterans,

00:25:49.700 and our first responder heroes.

00:25:51.700 They have 100% U.S.-based customer service team

00:25:55.220 that makes switching easy.

00:25:57.260 And you can keep your same cell phone number,

00:25:59.080 keep your phone,

00:25:59.960 or upgrade to that new phone you've been wanting.

00:26:03.220 Now, here's the part I love the most.

00:26:05.480 Every time you pay your bill,

00:26:07.420 they take a percentage of that bill at no cost to you

00:26:09.920 and give it back to conservative causes and organizations

00:26:13.000 that fight for our values.

00:26:16.120 So, don't wait any longer.

00:26:18.300 Make the switch

00:26:19.200 and get rid of that woke company

00:26:21.040 that you're on right now.

00:26:23.760 972-PATRIOT is their number.

00:26:26.220 That's 972-PATRIOT.

00:26:28.540 Use the promo code VERDICT.

00:26:29.900 Not only will you get the best deals of the year,

00:26:31.980 but you'll also get free activation.

00:26:34.980 That's 972-PATRIOT

00:26:37.180 or PatriotMobile.com

00:26:40.100 slash VERDICT.

00:26:41.840 That's PatriotMobile.com

00:26:43.360 slash VERDICT

00:26:44.020 or 972-PATRIOT.

00:26:45.820 Canadian women are looking for more. 1.00

00:26:49.100 More out of themselves,

00:26:50.100 their businesses,

00:26:51.040 their elected leaders,

00:26:52.000 and the world around them.

00:26:53.200 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce

00:26:54.840 the Honest Talk podcast.

00:26:56.900 I'm Jennifer Stewart.

00:26:58.120 And I'm Catherine Clark.

00:26:59.360 And in this podcast,

00:27:00.460 we interview Canada's most inspiring women.

00:27:03.080 Entrepreneurs,

00:27:03.800 artists,

00:27:04.480 athletes,

00:27:05.100 politicians,

00:27:05.740 and newsmakers.

00:27:06.420 All at different stages of their journey.

00:27:08.880 So, if you're looking to connect,

00:27:10.680 then we hope you'll join us.

00:27:12.080 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast

00:27:13.480 on iHeartRadio

00:27:14.460 or wherever you listen to your podcasts.

00:27:17.580 I want to move to another issue.

00:27:19.800 A lot of Americans

00:27:20.680 are going to be on the road

00:27:22.060 listening to this episode,

00:27:24.280 going to spend time with their family

00:27:25.880 over Thanksgiving.

00:27:27.440 And there is something that happened this week

00:27:30.280 that people, I'm sure, missed.

00:27:31.760 And that is Biden's infrastructure spending

00:27:34.200 has now gone woke.

00:27:36.760 It's a great moment to pause

00:27:38.800 and remind people,

00:27:40.160 if you're Black Friday shopping,

00:27:41.420 then grab the senator's new book, Unwoke.

00:27:43.920 You can grab it.

00:27:44.980 It's a bestseller.

00:27:45.900 You can get it on Amazon

00:27:46.580 or wherever you get your books.

00:27:47.920 Unless you're at a bookstore in California.

00:27:49.520 Apparently, they don't like it very much

00:27:50.880 out there in California,

00:27:52.020 the bookstores.

00:27:52.920 But you can grab it

00:27:53.940 wherever you get your books.

00:27:55.440 I love this part of censorship,

00:27:57.200 by the way, senator.

00:27:58.200 There are quite a few bookstores.

00:28:00.160 I've actually talked to friends

00:28:02.160 who have gone into bookstores.

00:28:03.640 Your book's a bestseller.

00:28:05.240 And if you're in the wrong part of the country

00:28:07.000 in a more liberal, woke part of the country,

00:28:08.500 there's a very good chance

00:28:09.560 you cannot find a hard copy of your book

00:28:11.440 in a bookstore,

00:28:12.180 which is maddening to me,

00:28:14.040 especially since it's a bestseller.

00:28:16.060 Well, it is one of the many examples

00:28:18.760 how corporate America is woke.

00:28:21.180 As you know,

00:28:22.320 two weeks ago,

00:28:23.260 I was in L.A.

00:28:24.000 to shoot Bill Maher

00:28:25.180 and talk about the book.

00:28:26.340 And I actually met some friends in L.A.

00:28:29.340 who went to try to buy the book.

00:28:31.340 And they went to a Barnes & Noble in L.A.

00:28:33.320 And they didn't have a single copy of the book there.

00:28:35.720 And they asked them,

00:28:36.480 okay, search the system.

00:28:38.120 And it turned out

00:28:39.500 there was not one copy of my book,

00:28:42.240 this is what they were told,

00:28:44.040 in any Barnes & Noble

00:28:45.980 in the entire city of Los Angeles.

00:28:48.680 And they had to actually drive to Long Beach,

00:28:51.220 which they did,

00:28:52.380 to get several copies of the books

00:28:54.340 because it was only the Barnes & Noble

00:28:56.020 in Long Beach that had the copies.

00:28:58.080 And throughout L.A. they weren't there.

00:29:00.000 Sadly, we're hearing reports of that.

00:29:02.980 There was also a letter to the editor

00:29:04.980 this past week

00:29:05.920 in the Dallas Morning News

00:29:08.140 complaining that the big box stores,

00:29:10.080 which have lots and lots of books,

00:29:12.640 of other books,

00:29:13.840 that you can't find un-woke,

00:29:16.520 even though, as you noted,

00:29:17.700 it is a bestseller.

00:29:19.060 It was at the top of the bestseller list.

00:29:20.760 And yet,

00:29:21.600 the major bricks-and-mortar retail outlets

00:29:24.140 are very reluctant to carry it.

00:29:26.240 And when they do carry it,

00:29:27.200 they certainly don't put it out

00:29:28.320 on the table in front.

00:29:29.260 They put it off in the back.

00:29:30.740 The good news is

00:29:31.480 you can order it online.

00:29:32.980 So I would encourage you

00:29:34.280 to go online and order it.

00:29:35.740 And you mentioned

00:29:36.580 what came out this past week.

00:29:40.000 And what came out this past week

00:29:41.520 also is racist roads

00:29:46.060 and woke infrastructure,

00:29:47.440 which may sound absurd,

00:29:48.760 but it's something I discuss

00:29:49.860 at considerable length

00:29:51.420 in the book on woke.

00:29:53.260 And in June,

00:29:55.560 Transportation Secretary,

00:29:57.620 Pete Buttigieg,

00:29:58.940 announced that the Department

00:30:00.180 of Transportation

00:30:01.000 had started accepting applications

00:30:02.720 for the National Infrastructure

00:30:05.080 Project Assistance,

00:30:07.540 Infrastructure for Rebuilding America,

00:30:09.680 and the Rural Surface

00:30:11.100 Transportation Grant Programs.

00:30:13.200 These three programs together

00:30:15.440 received $5.6 billion

00:30:19.440 under the so-called

00:30:21.600 Infrastructure Investment

00:30:22.940 and Jobs Act.

00:30:23.900 And the Department

00:30:26.380 of Transportation

00:30:27.160 under Buttigieg

00:30:27.860 said the grants

00:30:29.520 that would be awarded

00:30:30.420 would support,

00:30:31.640 quote,

00:30:32.200 transformational infrastructure

00:30:34.040 projects across the nation.

00:30:36.100 But the notice

00:30:37.320 of funding opportunity

00:30:38.600 issued states

00:30:40.460 that recipients

00:30:41.240 must broadly address,

00:30:44.580 quote,

00:30:44.920 equity

00:30:45.440 and climate concerns.

00:30:47.980 and further it says,

00:30:49.900 quote,

00:30:50.680 projects that have not

00:30:52.320 sufficiently considered

00:30:53.320 the equity and barriers

00:30:54.480 to opportunity

00:30:55.160 in their planning,

00:30:56.260 as determined by the department,

00:30:58.740 will be required to do so

00:31:00.360 before receiving funds

00:31:01.420 for construction.

00:31:03.040 Quote,

00:31:03.780 projects that have not

00:31:04.900 sufficiently considered

00:31:05.860 climate change

00:31:06.820 and environmental justice

00:31:08.420 in their planning,

00:31:09.440 as determined by the department,

00:31:11.600 will be required to do so

00:31:13.180 before receiving funds

00:31:14.320 for construction.

00:31:15.760 Now, mind you,

00:31:16.600 what they're saying

00:31:17.440 is if you're actually

00:31:18.760 building roads,

00:31:19.660 if you're actually

00:31:20.300 building freeways,

00:31:21.700 then that is not sufficient.

00:31:24.840 And in fact,

00:31:26.040 Pete Buttigieg

00:31:26.940 made news in 2021

00:31:29.340 when he said,

00:31:30.380 quote,

00:31:31.200 there is racism

00:31:32.300 physically built

00:31:34.040 into some of our highways. 1.00

00:31:36.280 Now, that is idiotic. 1.00

00:31:39.280 And I would note 1.00

00:31:40.640 that the DOT grants

00:31:43.700 also additionally target,

00:31:45.900 but so DOT policies

00:31:47.780 frame road building.

00:31:49.820 Here's what they call

00:31:50.400 road building.

00:31:51.780 Quote,

00:31:52.460 increasing automobile

00:31:54.300 dependence.

00:31:56.300 And so they condemn

00:31:57.740 highway expansion projects

00:31:59.160 that don't involve

00:32:00.220 electric vehicle

00:32:01.480 charging stations

00:32:02.440 or bike lanes.

00:32:03.440 So it is,

00:32:04.440 remember there was

00:32:05.040 a lot of hoopla

00:32:05.800 over all the money

00:32:06.840 to be spent

00:32:07.420 on infrastructure

00:32:08.220 and roads and bridges?

00:32:09.720 Oh, yeah.

00:32:10.500 Well, it turns out

00:32:11.380 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris

00:32:12.640 and Pete Buttigieg

00:32:13.360 don't actually want

00:32:14.320 roads and bridges.

00:32:15.640 Instead, they have

00:32:16.480 a woke agenda.

00:32:17.380 Now, here's the good news,

00:32:18.680 which is that I sent

00:32:21.000 a request

00:32:25.080 for a determination

00:32:26.140 as to whether

00:32:27.960 this announcement

00:32:29.760 constitutes a rule

00:32:31.600 and receive

00:32:35.880 that determination,

00:32:36.780 which means

00:32:38.120 that it is subject

00:32:39.860 to being overturned

00:32:43.000 by Congress

00:32:43.740 by a simple majority vote.

00:32:45.620 And so I intend

00:32:47.120 to introduce

00:32:48.040 that resolution

00:32:49.560 of disapproval

00:32:50.500 to force a vote

00:32:52.680 in the Senate.

00:32:53.320 Now, Biden can veto

00:32:54.320 that vote,

00:32:55.240 but in the Senate

00:32:56.340 we're going to see

00:32:57.260 if all the people

00:32:58.940 who trumpeted

00:32:59.500 the infrastructure program

00:33:00.840 support blocking them

00:33:03.280 from going to roads

00:33:04.360 and bridges

00:33:04.880 unless they are

00:33:06.240 sufficiently woke

00:33:07.440 and fighting racist roads,

00:33:10.020 whatever the hell that is.

00:33:11.760 When people hear this

00:33:13.560 and they hear racist roads

00:33:15.080 as you just described it there,

00:33:16.820 and you talk about

00:33:17.620 billions upon billions

00:33:18.600 of taxpayers' dollars

00:33:19.740 that's meant

00:33:20.720 for these infrastructure projects

00:33:22.400 that are now

00:33:23.500 just being turned

00:33:24.360 into these woke agenda items,

00:33:26.640 how many members

00:33:27.640 of Congress

00:33:28.460 are behind this

00:33:29.980 as well?

00:33:30.920 Because, yes,

00:33:31.540 it's a Biden administration

00:33:32.900 initiative,

00:33:34.020 but you've still got to have

00:33:35.300 some Congress people

00:33:36.300 behind you.

00:33:37.500 Is this just the part

00:33:38.980 of now

00:33:39.380 where we are in politics

00:33:40.520 where they'll look at you,

00:33:41.760 they'll say,

00:33:42.280 this is for infrastructure,

00:33:43.760 straight up lie to you,

00:33:44.920 and then waste billions

00:33:45.960 of your dollars

00:33:46.640 on woke agenda items

00:33:47.960 like this?

00:33:48.920 Well, listen,

00:33:49.720 a lot of the left-wing

00:33:50.540 Democrats in Congress

00:33:51.620 are emphatically behind this.

00:33:53.180 So the Bernie Sanders,

00:33:54.460 the Elizabeth Warrens,

00:33:55.440 the AOCs are cheering this on

00:33:58.340 because this is the agenda

00:33:59.500 they want.

00:34:00.520 I will say there are

00:34:01.860 a number of Republicans

00:34:02.840 who, you know,

00:34:05.220 are a little bit like

00:34:06.040 Charlie Brown

00:34:06.700 with Lucy and the football.

00:34:08.200 They listen to Democrats

00:34:09.480 who say,

00:34:09.860 okay, let's work together

00:34:11.000 on something like

00:34:11.720 roads and bridges,

00:34:12.460 and the Republicans are like,

00:34:13.420 oh, yeah, yeah,

00:34:14.080 roads and bridges,

00:34:14.700 those sound really good.

00:34:16.200 And they write into law

00:34:18.180 funding for roads and bridges.

00:34:21.020 Now, the left-wing Democrats

00:34:22.560 they're negotiating with

00:34:23.580 know fully well,

00:34:24.400 they're pulling the football away

00:34:25.920 and Charlie Brown 1.00

00:34:27.120 is landing on his ass. 1.00

00:34:28.260 They know that, 1.00

00:34:29.160 but these Republicans

00:34:30.460 are just gullible

00:34:31.500 and they fall into it

00:34:32.680 over and over and over again.

00:34:34.340 And if they weren't gullible,

00:34:36.080 they would have written

00:34:37.040 into the statute

00:34:38.040 prohibitions

00:34:39.200 on the Biden administration

00:34:40.680 doing this

00:34:41.520 because you and I knew

00:34:42.460 the Biden administration

00:34:43.820 was going to do this

00:34:44.780 because that's who they are.

00:34:46.480 They are cultural Marxists.

00:34:48.640 It's why I wrote the book

00:34:50.200 Unwoke

00:34:51.140 to lay out

00:34:52.100 what it means

00:34:53.440 the radicals

00:34:54.980 who have taken over

00:34:55.720 our government

00:34:56.340 and we have too many

00:34:57.300 Republicans in Congress

00:34:58.500 who are fundamentally naive

00:35:00.720 and they just keep running 0.62

00:35:02.540 and trying to kick that football

00:35:03.880 and the problem

00:35:05.240 keeps getting worse and worse.

00:35:06.880 Have you seen

00:35:07.900 the headlines lately?

00:35:09.040 The third highest deficit

00:35:10.520 in history.

00:35:11.460 The digital dollar

00:35:12.300 has sparked uncertainty.

00:35:14.380 Israel declares war.

00:35:16.100 We're living

00:35:16.560 in an unpredictable world,

00:35:18.420 but gold is still gold.

00:35:20.160 It's weathered

00:35:21.320 many, many storms.

00:35:23.320 My gold gives me peace.

00:35:25.320 Why?

00:35:25.600 Because it's tangible.

00:35:26.700 It's real.

00:35:27.620 And it helps me sleep

00:35:28.680 well at night

00:35:29.260 knowing no matter

00:35:29.840 what happens

00:35:30.660 or what headline

00:35:31.500 hits tomorrow,

00:35:32.440 I am protected.

00:35:34.100 Now, I'm a firm believer

00:35:35.320 in gold IRAs.

00:35:37.340 Listen, if you have an IRA

00:35:59.000 you or your family.

00:36:08.340 that's B-E-N, 0.99

00:36:09.580 to 68592.

00:36:12.200 That's B-E-N 1.00

00:36:13.100 to 68592.

00:36:15.400 Again, the word BEN

00:36:17.220 to 68592

00:36:19.560 or visit

00:36:20.800 augustapreciousmetals.com.

00:36:24.220 Senator, I know you wanted

00:36:25.180 to make sure you got

00:36:26.000 a moment to just wish

00:36:27.440 everybody a very,

00:36:28.800 very happy Thanksgiving

00:36:29.760 to you and your family.

00:36:32.040 Obviously, for me,

00:36:32.960 I say happy Thanksgiving

00:36:33.940 to all you.

00:36:34.480 I hope you're safe

00:36:35.120 on the roads as well,

00:36:35.960 but I want to take a moment

00:36:36.960 and just let you say

00:36:38.200 to everybody listening,

00:36:39.260 thank you for listening.

00:36:40.140 This has been a historic year.

00:36:42.500 You and I got started

00:36:43.420 a little over a year ago together.

00:36:44.880 It's been a blast,

00:36:45.820 but we have really seen

00:36:47.220 significant growth

00:36:48.140 from this audience

00:36:48.900 who has just gotten

00:36:50.440 behind this show

00:36:51.400 and is helping spread

00:36:52.520 the word of what we say

00:36:54.460 and putting this

00:36:55.180 on social media.

00:36:56.080 I mean this sincerely.

00:36:57.380 Without the audience,

00:36:58.700 neither of us

00:36:59.500 would be spending

00:37:00.020 as much time

00:37:00.660 and as many late nights

00:37:01.500 as we are doing this.

00:37:02.840 This has added on

00:37:03.720 to the incredible job

00:37:04.780 you're doing as a U.S. senator.

00:37:05.980 This is a year

00:37:07.820 that's going to be

00:37:08.340 so important

00:37:09.140 with this election cycle

00:37:10.360 coming up as well.

00:37:11.400 And I am very thankful

00:37:13.580 for the Verdict listeners

00:37:14.800 that have just

00:37:15.860 been amazing ambassadors

00:37:17.940 for the show

00:37:18.580 and bringing other people

00:37:19.800 so that we can reach more

00:37:20.960 each and every show we do.

00:37:22.400 Now look,

00:37:23.080 that's exactly right.

00:37:24.180 The Verdict listeners

00:37:25.380 are an amazing,

00:37:26.860 engaged,

00:37:27.760 informed,

00:37:28.680 powerful group

00:37:29.680 of men and women

00:37:30.380 and group of young people.

00:37:32.040 And you are

00:37:34.740 regular listeners

00:37:36.760 to this podcast

00:37:37.640 because you want to know

00:37:38.560 what's really going on.

00:37:39.560 You want to understand.

00:37:40.340 You know that if you turn on

00:37:42.240 the 6 o'clock news,

00:37:43.740 if you turn on CNN,

00:37:44.820 if you turn on MSNBC,

00:37:46.740 you're not going to really

00:37:48.020 hear the truth.

00:37:49.040 You're going to hear

00:37:49.760 the narrative

00:37:50.400 they want to tell.

00:37:51.500 And even Fox News

00:37:52.680 or Newsmax or OAN,

00:37:54.640 which do terrific jobs,

00:37:56.300 but it's very difficult

00:37:57.660 in a six or eight minute

00:37:59.800 snippet

00:38:00.860 to understand

00:38:02.140 the substance

00:38:02.940 of complex issues.

00:38:04.380 And it's,

00:38:05.040 I go on,

00:38:05.660 I go on those shows

00:38:07.180 all the time,

00:38:08.020 but what you can discuss

00:38:09.140 in a few minutes

00:38:09.960 is fundamentally different

00:38:11.840 from what you can talk

00:38:12.720 about in a podcast

00:38:13.440 where you pick

00:38:14.280 issues that really matter

00:38:15.960 and you try to bring

00:38:16.760 your listeners

00:38:17.260 behind the scenes

00:38:18.260 to understand

00:38:18.860 what's really going on.

00:38:20.480 And so I'll say

00:38:21.560 it's right now,

00:38:22.380 it's 10, 15 at night

00:38:23.640 on Tuesday

00:38:24.320 of Thanksgiving week.

00:38:26.340 And we're both away

00:38:27.680 from our families

00:38:28.360 recording this podcast

00:38:29.320 right now.

00:38:30.560 Many of you

00:38:31.260 are listening to it

00:38:32.180 on Wednesday.

00:38:32.840 Many of you

00:38:33.260 are on the road.

00:38:33.920 You're driving

00:38:34.420 to see your family

00:38:35.320 somewhere in Texas,

00:38:36.340 somewhere across the country,

00:38:37.440 or you're on an airplane

00:38:38.880 and you're flying

00:38:39.580 and you've downloaded

00:38:40.220 this podcast.

00:38:41.240 And I want to first of all

00:38:42.660 say wish you traveling mercies

00:38:44.840 and hope that you travel safely.

00:38:46.540 I want to thank you

00:38:48.020 for being part

00:38:49.880 of the verdict community

00:38:51.080 because the listeners

00:38:52.220 who engage,

00:38:53.980 y'all have an impact.

00:38:56.000 There is a reason

00:38:56.820 this podcast

00:38:57.540 has repeatedly

00:38:58.700 forced the White House

00:39:01.400 to respond to it

00:39:02.480 from the White House podium

00:39:03.780 at White House briefings.

00:39:05.380 There's a reason

00:39:06.120 we are able to change

00:39:07.820 administration policy.

00:39:09.540 There's a reason

00:39:10.260 we are able to drive

00:39:11.420 the truth

00:39:12.040 even when the corporate media

00:39:13.660 is trying to cover it up.

00:39:14.760 And it's because of all of you.

00:39:15.940 It's because

00:39:16.520 we have roughly

00:39:18.140 a million unique listeners.

00:39:19.660 We're beating CNN

00:39:20.840 every week.

00:39:22.140 And so I am thankful

00:39:23.580 for you.

00:39:24.240 But I hope on this

00:39:25.540 Thanksgiving tomorrow

00:39:27.100 you take time

00:39:28.860 to give thanks.

00:39:29.720 Give thanks for your family.

00:39:31.660 Give thanks for your health.

00:39:34.220 Give thanks for your children,

00:39:35.680 children especially.

00:39:37.200 And give thanks

00:39:38.140 for your country.

00:39:40.000 Your country,

00:39:42.380 America,

00:39:43.180 is facing enormous challenges

00:39:44.900 but we are still

00:39:46.000 blessed beyond words.

00:39:47.280 We live in the greatest country

00:39:48.740 on the face of the earth

00:39:50.260 and it is a blessing.

00:39:51.300 It is a blessing

00:39:51.880 to fight for America

00:39:53.020 at a time of great peril

00:39:55.220 and that's where we are.

00:39:56.420 And so,

00:39:57.140 you know,

00:39:58.100 I am thankful

00:39:59.860 for each of you.

00:40:00.880 I'm thankful

00:40:01.340 for your courage.

00:40:02.100 I'm thankful

00:40:02.780 for your love

00:40:04.880 of America

00:40:05.520 because it's that love

00:40:06.580 of America

00:40:07.100 that I believe

00:40:07.820 will save our nation.

00:40:09.900 Amen to that.

00:40:10.660 Happy Thanksgiving,

00:40:11.780 Senator,

00:40:11.940 you and your family

00:40:12.800 and to each and every one

00:40:13.780 of you that's listening

00:40:14.440 right now.

00:40:15.340 Happy Thanksgiving

00:40:16.080 from all of us here

00:40:16.900 at Verdict.

00:40:32.240 pray for the people

00:40:33.420 in Israel.

00:40:34.540 Pray for these hostages.

00:40:36.300 There is going to be

00:40:36.980 great news

00:40:37.640 with these 50

00:40:38.640 that are going to be released

00:40:39.780 but there are many others

00:40:41.020 that are going to be

00:40:41.860 in anguish

00:40:42.720 because their loved ones

00:40:43.740 were not released

00:40:44.720 by these terrorists.

00:40:45.580 So make sure you say

00:40:46.300 a special prayer for them

00:40:47.340 and the Senator and I
