00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.660 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.420 Welcome, it is Vertic with Senator Ted Cruz.
00:00:07.680 Ben Ferguson with you, Senator.
00:00:09.080 It's a big week out of Washington, D.C.
00:00:11.300 You were there for a lot of it.
00:00:13.340 Tulsi Gabbard coming out and making it pretty clear
00:00:16.980 she believes that there are people in and around
00:00:19.400 the President of the United States of America at the time,
00:00:21.500 Barack Obama, who may have deliberately
00:00:23.860 and purposely perpetrated a hoax against Donald Trump.
00:00:28.340 People are even using the word treason at this point
00:00:31.760 and criminal referrals are actually being talked about.
00:00:35.060 Well, Tulsi Gabbard this week released a bombshell.
00:00:39.180 She released evidence that Barack Obama
00:00:41.920 and his senior intelligence team
00:00:44.460 deliberately lied to the American people.
00:00:47.300 They knew they lied and they did so to undermine
00:00:50.900 the incoming Trump administration,
00:00:53.380 the incoming president who had just been elected in 2016.
00:00:56.060 And the bombshell, we're going to break it down for you.
00:00:59.240 She laid out chapter and verse.
00:01:01.400 She brought the receipts.
00:01:03.320 How for months, the Obama intelligence community
00:01:07.960 had assessed Russia was not trying to interfere
00:01:11.380 with the election, was not trying to elect Donald Trump,
00:01:14.340 which is, of course, exactly the opposite
00:01:16.780 of what they spent the next four years
00:01:18.340 telling the American people.
00:01:19.560 We're going to break down exactly what she laid out
00:01:22.880 and what it means and what the criminal liability is,
00:01:27.180 who's going to be held accountable
00:01:28.420 and what to expect next.
00:01:29.700 We're also going to do something that is really important,
00:01:31.920 which is break down the details
00:01:33.800 of the one big, beautiful bill.
00:01:35.360 It is signed into law.
00:01:36.500 President Trump signed it on the 4th of July.
00:01:38.700 We're going to tell you the major conservative victories
00:01:41.720 that were in that bill.
00:01:43.460 It had, without exaggeration,
00:01:46.060 more major conservative victories in that bill
00:01:49.880 than any piece of legislation
00:01:52.220 that has ever passed into law
00:01:54.220 in the history of our country.
00:01:55.960 We're going to explain it all to you.
00:01:57.240 Yeah, it's really incredible.
00:01:58.320 We're going to have that for you in a minute.
00:01:59.320 If you're a conservative like me
00:02:00.800 and you may have decided, like I have,
00:02:03.040 I am going to give my money to companies
00:02:04.980 that align with my values wherever I can.
00:02:07.800 I am so sick and tired of liberal companies
00:02:09.880 fighting against my family values.
00:02:11.540 And one of those things is I look at every day
00:02:14.200 and it's like, all right, what do I use?
00:02:15.540 Well, every day I wake up and I get a cup of coffee.
00:02:18.520 Look, good coffee is easy to find.
00:02:20.400 Great tasting coffee is a lot harder to discover.

00:02:25.640 by two of my good friends that started this company,
00:02:28.100 Clay Travis and Buck Sexton.

00:02:53.180 because it's just such an amazing cup of coffee.
00:02:56.960 It is small batch and they do it
00:02:59.020 and they specially import their beans.

00:03:45.900 Get 20% off.
00:03:47.040 All right, so let's go to the bombshell center.
00:03:49.620 I was in D.C. when this happened
00:03:51.740 and everyone was talking about the report that was released
00:03:54.920 showing how the Obama administration,
00:03:57.700 in essence, perpetrated the Russian hoax 0.77
00:04:00.500 on Donald Trump to undermine his presidency,
00:04:02.660 but also to really get him out of the White House.
00:04:05.580 Well, that's right.
00:04:06.860 And it's important to understand what is new about this.
00:04:09.140 Listen, everyone has known for some time
00:04:11.200 that the Obama team pushed the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax.
00:04:15.000 We've known that.
00:04:16.040 That's been well established.
00:04:17.840 What is new, what Tulsi Gabbard put out this week,
00:04:21.360 is that they knew they were lying when they did that
00:04:24.240 because the intelligence had been precisely the opposite.
00:04:27.360 And what I want to do is I want to walk through
00:04:29.060 a little bit of this timeline and give you the specific facts.
00:04:32.220 So, August 31st of 2016,
00:04:36.820 a DHS official tells former DNI director James Clapper
00:04:40.920 that there was, quote,
00:04:42.980 no indication of a Russian threat
00:04:46.280 to directly manipulate the actual vote count.
00:04:49.220 That's in August of 2016.
00:04:51.440 Then September 2nd, 2016,
00:04:53.340 the FBI said it was, quote,
00:04:56.000 uncomfortable,
00:04:57.700 implying that there was definitive information
00:05:00.200 that Russia intended to disrupt our elections.
00:05:03.400 Then on September 9th, 2016,
00:05:06.760 quote,
00:05:07.500 the intelligence community concluded
00:05:09.920 that Russia was probably not
00:05:13.580 trying to influence the election
00:05:16.020 by using cyber means
00:05:17.760 to target election infrastructure.
00:05:19.760 That continued.
00:05:22.420 So that was not just through August and September of 2016,
00:05:26.100 but it continued after the election.
00:05:27.960 The election happens in November of 2016.
00:05:31.400 On December 7th, 2016,
00:05:34.920 here are the talking points
00:05:36.500 that DNI director Clapper had prepared for him.
00:05:39.400 Quote,
00:05:39.660 foreign adversaries did not use cyber attacks
00:05:45.960 on election infrastructure
00:05:47.380 to alter the U.S. presidential election outcome.
00:05:50.860 The next day, December 8th,
00:05:53.840 Barack Obama's presidential daily brief
00:05:56.140 read as follows, quote,
00:05:58.420 we assess that Russian and criminal actors
00:06:02.060 did not impact recent U.S. election results
00:06:06.240 by conducting malicious cyber activities
00:06:08.680 against election infrastructure.
00:06:10.040 That's an important point there, by the way.
00:06:13.340 That's what Barack Obama was briefed on December 8th.
00:06:17.880 And then December 9th, 2016,
00:06:20.400 everything changed.
00:06:22.240 On December 9th,
00:06:24.300 DNI director Clapper,
00:06:26.100 national security advisor Susan Rice,
00:06:28.280 secretary of state John Kerry,
00:06:30.060 and deputy FBI director McCabe,
00:06:32.080 they all met in person.
00:06:34.220 And in that meeting,
00:06:36.900 they reversed course entirely,
00:06:39.340 180 degrees.
00:06:41.740 They flipped,
00:06:44.080 and they agreed to recommend sanctioning
00:06:47.920 members of the Russian military intelligence
00:06:51.520 because of the Russia hoax.
00:06:53.820 They tasked the intelligence community
00:06:56.560 with creating an assessment
00:06:57.780 of the tools Moscow used
00:06:59.360 to influence the 2016 election.
00:07:01.100 And that same day,
00:07:04.060 deep state officials
00:07:05.200 in the intelligence community
00:07:06.420 began leaking false intelligence
00:07:09.200 to the Washington Post.
00:07:11.680 This was a decision they made
00:07:14.020 to lie to the American people.
00:07:17.040 And that's the new piece.
00:07:18.140 Deliberately and orchestrated
00:07:19.280 and well planned out.
00:07:20.620 This wasn't just a random
00:07:21.780 let's go out there and lie
00:07:22.980 at a press briefing.
00:07:24.460 This was a plan
00:07:25.820 like writing a movie script
00:07:27.160 of how you were going
00:07:28.240 to lie to the American people
00:07:29.760 and use the intelligence agencies
00:07:31.320 to do it.
00:07:32.360 And what Tulsi Gabbard
00:07:33.740 has now given us
00:07:34.780 the receipts on
00:07:35.740 is they knew they were lying.
00:07:38.060 That for months
00:07:38.980 and months and months
00:07:39.960 the intelligence community
00:07:41.040 had been reporting
00:07:41.760 exactly the opposite.
00:07:43.320 So when they made this decision,
00:07:45.140 it was a political determination.
00:07:46.560 It was a political determination
00:07:47.920 because they hated Donald Trump.
00:07:49.680 And it was a political determination
00:07:51.140 because they were furious
00:07:52.400 with the American people
00:07:53.680 for electing Donald Trump president.
00:07:55.900 And this was an attempt
00:07:57.000 to subvert democracy.
00:07:59.320 And this was an attempt
00:08:00.400 to overthrow
00:08:01.440 the then newly elected
00:08:03.120 president of the United States.
00:08:05.120 And what is brazen about it
00:08:08.340 is that they did it.
00:08:10.840 All of the intelligence
00:08:11.960 that for months and months
00:08:13.120 and months had been reported,
00:08:14.380 it suddenly magically disappeared.
00:08:15.920 They didn't acknowledge it.
00:08:17.240 They simply,
00:08:18.480 those facts were no longer operative.
00:08:20.520 They had a political agenda. 0.93
00:08:21.920 The facts be damned. 0.70
00:08:24.280 And they were willing 0.68
00:08:24.880 to lie to the American people
00:08:26.160 and they were willing
00:08:26.640 to lie to Congress.
00:08:27.580 Yeah, when you think about
00:08:28.320 changing the papers
00:08:29.500 is the way it was described
00:08:30.860 in the White House press briefing
00:08:31.780 where it was like,
00:08:32.640 the report says
00:08:33.440 one plus one equals two.
00:08:34.840 And they're like,
00:08:35.060 no, no, we're going to change
00:08:35.840 that to equal seven.
00:08:37.180 They knew they were doing this
00:08:39.020 to hurt the president.
00:08:40.320 And in essence,
00:08:40.960 a coup attempt.
00:08:41.760 It wasn't even
00:08:42.680 one plus one equals seven.
00:08:43.900 It's one plus one
00:08:44.700 equals cucumber.
00:08:45.700 Yeah, I mean,
00:08:46.480 great point.
00:08:47.160 And this is what happens
00:08:48.420 when you have
00:08:49.060 a rogue deep state,
00:08:50.220 which goes back
00:08:51.220 to what the president said.
00:08:52.720 He believed
00:08:53.460 this was what had happened to him
00:08:54.560 and they said
00:08:55.080 it was crazy
00:08:55.880 when it happened.
00:08:56.980 Senator,
00:08:57.240 I want to go back
00:08:57.920 into what Tulsi Gabbard said
00:08:59.200 when she went
00:09:00.440 to the White House,
00:09:01.520 White House press briefing room,
00:09:02.740 and she opened it up
00:09:03.760 as she was introduced
00:09:04.540 by the White House press secretary.
00:09:05.980 And here's what she had to say.
00:09:07.340 The stunning revelations
00:09:08.720 that we are releasing today
00:09:10.380 should be of concern
00:09:11.440 to every American.
00:09:12.580 This is not about
00:09:13.160 Democrats or Republicans.
00:09:14.480 This has to do
00:09:15.200 with the integrity
00:09:16.340 of our Democratic Republic
00:09:17.920 and American voters
00:09:19.280 having faith
00:09:20.060 that the votes cast
00:09:21.220 will count.
00:09:22.880 There is irrefutable evidence
00:09:24.660 that detail
00:09:25.400 how President Obama
00:09:26.740 and his national security team
00:09:28.560 directed the creation
00:09:29.700 of an intelligence
00:09:31.020 community assessment
00:09:31.980 that they knew
00:09:33.480 was false.
00:09:35.160 They knew it would promote
00:09:36.560 this contrived narrative
00:09:37.820 that Russia interfered
00:09:39.260 in the 2016 election
00:09:40.500 to help President Trump win,
00:09:42.660 selling it to the American people
00:09:44.040 as though it were true.
00:09:46.240 It wasn't.
00:09:47.380 The report that we released today
00:09:48.740 shows in great detail
00:09:50.080 how they carried this out.
00:09:52.580 They manufactured findings
00:09:53.980 from shoddy sources.
00:09:55.680 They suppressed evidence
00:09:56.920 and credible intelligence
00:09:58.260 that disproved
00:09:59.760 their false claims.
00:10:01.680 They disobeyed
00:10:02.860 traditional tradecraft
00:10:04.760 intelligence community standards
00:10:06.460 and withheld the truth
00:10:08.100 from the American people.
00:10:10.120 In doing so,
00:10:11.080 they conspired
00:10:11.800 to subvert the will
00:10:12.840 of the American people
00:10:13.880 who elected Donald Trump
00:10:15.220 in that election
00:10:15.980 in November of 2016.
00:10:17.780 They worked with their partners
00:10:19.280 in the media
00:10:20.060 to promote this lie,
00:10:21.800 ultimately to undermine
00:10:22.760 the legitimacy
00:10:23.380 of President Trump
00:10:24.560 and launching
00:10:25.480 what would be
00:10:26.440 a years-long coup
00:10:27.840 against him
00:10:28.600 and his administration.
00:10:30.280 A years-long coup
00:10:32.120 against him
00:10:32.960 and his administration
00:10:34.260 orchestrated
00:10:35.180 with the deep state
00:10:36.540 and the media.
00:10:37.640 She's indicting
00:10:38.520 all of them
00:10:39.180 saying they knew
00:10:40.080 this was a lie.
00:10:41.520 She is,
00:10:42.180 and I will say,
00:10:43.780 as she rightly pointed out,
00:10:45.740 the evidence she put out
00:10:46.820 shows,
00:10:47.320 number one,
00:10:48.000 it was false
00:10:48.780 that Russia was trying 0.82
00:10:49.720 to interfere with the election,
00:10:50.920 but number two,
00:10:51.720 a second predicate
00:10:52.480 of their lie
00:10:53.200 is that Russia
00:10:54.200 was trying to interfere
00:10:55.280 to benefit Donald Trump.
00:10:56.940 That was a critical
00:10:57.780 Democrat partisan lie,
00:10:59.420 and one of the pieces
00:11:02.380 that she put out
00:11:03.400 is that the Obama
00:11:05.820 intelligence community
00:11:07.260 assessed that Russia
00:11:10.460 had in its possession
00:11:11.980 damaging information
00:11:13.680 about Hillary Clinton,
00:11:15.600 including DNC communication.
00:11:19.600 So this is the Democrat
00:11:20.340 National Committee
00:11:21.140 communicating,
00:11:21.940 saying that Clinton
00:11:22.760 was suffering from,
00:11:24.200 quote,
00:11:25.140 intensified psycho-emotional
00:11:27.400 problems,
00:11:28.700 including uncontrolled
00:11:30.240 fits of anger,
00:11:32.020 aggression,
00:11:33.540 and cheerfulness.
00:11:34.480 And by the way,
00:11:35.040 that's really weird.
00:11:36.380 Well, if you've been
00:11:36.840 around Hillary Clinton,
00:11:37.840 and cheerfulness.
00:11:38.840 If you've been around
00:11:39.180 Hillary Clinton,
00:11:39.780 she's not exactly
00:11:40.300 the most cheerful person,
00:11:41.460 so that would be
00:11:41.980 a red flag.
00:11:42.460 And what the DNC communications
00:11:46.320 further indicated
00:11:47.320 was that Clinton
00:11:48.240 was placed on a daily
00:11:49.800 regimen of,
00:11:51.180 quote,
00:11:51.740 heavy tranquilizers,
00:11:54.500 and while afraid
00:11:56.020 of losing,
00:11:56.600 she remained,
00:11:57.560 quote,
00:11:57.980 obsessed with a thirst
00:11:59.460 for power.
00:12:00.100 Now,
00:12:00.580 I don't know
00:12:01.700 if this supposed
00:12:03.100 Russian intelligence
00:12:03.960 is accurate or not.
00:12:06.220 Tulsi Gabbard released it
00:12:07.360 and said that the
00:12:08.160 Obama intelligence community
00:12:10.060 assessed that Russia
00:12:11.420 had this,
00:12:12.060 and here's the critical part.
00:12:14.140 Russia didn't release it.
00:12:15.940 It clearly would have been
00:12:16.780 damaging to Hillary Clinton.
00:12:17.880 If they wanted Donald Trump
00:12:18.960 to win,
00:12:20.040 they would have put it out,
00:12:21.320 presumably,
00:12:21.760 in October of 2016.
00:12:23.780 They didn't.
00:12:24.760 That's yet another element
00:12:25.920 of the lie.
00:12:27.160 Yeah,
00:12:27.380 it's a huge element
00:12:28.480 of the lie.
00:12:28.900 So the question now
00:12:29.780 becomes this,
00:12:31.380 where we go from here,
00:12:32.500 and it seems to be moving
00:12:34.000 actually very fast.
00:12:35.560 Great example of that
00:12:36.580 is the Attorney General
00:12:37.420 Pam Bondi,
00:12:38.300 we're now being told,
00:12:39.540 is forming a strike force
00:12:41.240 to, quote,
00:12:41.880 investigate disclosures
00:12:43.320 from the Office
00:12:44.100 of the Director
00:12:44.780 of National Intelligence,
00:12:46.500 that would be Tulsi Gabbard,
00:12:48.100 that raises allegations.
00:12:50.420 The Obama administration,
00:12:51.700 quote,
00:12:51.920 manufactured an intelligence
00:12:54.140 assessment in 2017
00:12:55.500 promoting the Russian
00:12:57.260 hoax collusion,
00:12:58.240 saying, quote,
00:12:58.700 the Department of Justice
00:12:59.440 announcing the formation
00:13:00.740 of the strike force
00:13:01.620 on Wednesday.
00:13:02.640 The strike force
00:13:03.420 will assess the evidence
00:13:05.020 publicized by the DNI director
00:13:07.340 and investigate
00:13:08.420 any potential,
00:13:10.120 quote,
00:13:10.260 next level steps
00:13:11.600 which might stem
00:13:13.020 from DNI Gabbard's disclosures.
00:13:15.020 That's coming from the release.
00:13:16.520 And Bondi called the disclosures
00:13:17.760 from Gabbard's office,
00:13:18.980 quote,
00:13:19.600 troubling in the statement.
00:13:21.180 Well,
00:13:21.840 I'm very glad
00:13:22.620 that the Trump Department
00:13:23.480 of Justice
00:13:23.960 is investigating this.
00:13:25.760 Tulsi Gabbard
00:13:26.460 made a criminal referral
00:13:27.900 to the Department of Justice
00:13:29.100 and Pam Bondi
00:13:30.040 launched this strike force
00:13:31.620 and many people
00:13:32.620 are asking quite reasonably,
00:13:34.020 is anyone going to be
00:13:35.200 held accountable for this?
00:13:36.220 Because it seems
00:13:36.820 so frustrating
00:13:37.620 to have people
00:13:38.160 breaking the law
00:13:39.080 over and over and over again
00:13:40.800 and nobody being prosecuted,
00:13:42.280 nobody going to jail.
00:13:43.600 I very much hope
00:13:44.560 people are held accountable.
00:13:45.500 I hope that the Trump
00:13:46.400 Department of Justice
00:13:47.280 is able to prosecute
00:13:49.020 and prove
00:13:50.240 if there is criminal conduct
00:13:51.620 that they're able
00:13:52.460 to prove it
00:13:53.200 and get convictions
00:13:54.500 and people are held accountable.
00:13:55.780 And I'll tell you,
00:13:56.840 the people who are most likely
00:13:58.620 to face criminal liability
00:14:00.420 are those senior members
00:14:02.540 of the Obama intelligence community,
00:14:04.960 those people that were in
00:14:06.580 the December 9th meeting
00:14:09.120 where they decided
00:14:10.060 to deliberately lie
00:14:11.060 to the American people.
00:14:12.200 Those names, by the way.
00:14:13.200 And in particular,
00:14:15.180 so those names...
00:14:17.400 You're talking about
00:14:17.920 James Clapper
00:14:18.680 is one example.
00:14:19.940 We're talking about
00:14:20.300 the biggest names there.
00:14:21.380 Yes, I'm talking about
00:14:22.200 James Clapper.
00:14:23.000 I'm talking about
00:14:23.600 Susan Rice.
00:14:24.240 I'm talking about
00:14:24.700 John Kerry.
00:14:25.820 And I'm talking about
00:14:27.260 Deputy FBI Director McCabe.
00:14:29.720 Wow.
00:14:30.100 Those were the ones.
00:14:31.240 And in particular also,
00:14:33.360 it is the senior officials
00:14:34.680 who testified,
00:14:36.340 falsely testified
00:14:37.300 before Congress
00:14:38.340 and lied
00:14:39.660 and knew they were lying.
00:14:40.560 And there are two relevant
00:14:41.880 federal criminal statutes
00:14:43.540 that are most relevant.
00:14:44.460 Number one is 18 U.S.C.
00:14:46.280 Section 1621,
00:14:47.680 and that is perjury.
00:14:49.260 Whoever, having taken an oath,
00:14:50.420 willfully states
00:14:51.100 any material matter
00:14:52.000 which he does not believe
00:14:53.120 to be true
00:14:53.620 is guilty of perjury.
00:14:55.240 This applies
00:14:56.080 to sworn congressional testimony.
00:14:57.900 And secondly,
00:14:59.060 18 U.S.C.
00:15:00.080 Section 1001,
00:15:02.040 whoever knowingly
00:15:02.840 and willfully makes
00:15:03.560 any materially false,
00:15:04.780 fictitious,
00:15:05.240 or fraudulent statement
00:15:06.160 in any matter
00:15:06.760 within the jurisdiction
00:15:07.540 of the executive,
00:15:08.420 legislative,
00:15:08.760 or judicial branch
00:15:09.660 shall be fined
00:15:11.020 or in prison.
00:15:11.760 Both of these,
00:15:13.020 you've got in particular
00:15:14.480 two different testimonies
00:15:16.360 that are really problematic.
00:15:18.180 Number one,
00:15:19.260 on May 8th, 2017,
00:15:21.100 James Clapper testified
00:15:22.220 before the Senate
00:15:22.940 Judiciary Committee
00:15:23.900 about the Russia collusion
00:15:26.780 and what he said,
00:15:27.880 according to what's been released
00:15:29.200 by Tulsi Gabbard,
00:15:30.060 he knew was false.
00:15:31.680 He said in particular,
00:15:33.080 quote,
00:15:34.060 Russia's influence activities
00:15:35.360 in the run-up
00:15:35.880 to the 2016 presidential election
00:15:37.680 constituted
00:15:38.380 the high-water mark
00:15:39.280 of their long-running efforts.
00:15:40.840 They must be congratulating themselves.
00:15:42.420 This episode is a clarion call
00:15:43.800 for vigilance and action
00:15:45.000 against a threat
00:15:46.160 to the very foundations
00:15:47.160 of our democratic system.
00:15:48.800 And then in November of 2020,
00:15:51.020 Andrew McCabe testified
00:15:52.040 before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
00:15:53.980 He lied as well.
00:15:55.440 And I will say
00:15:56.040 for the statute of limitations,
00:15:57.180 if it was materially covered up,
00:15:59.740 it is extended.
00:16:00.980 This is the most likely area
00:16:02.700 you'll find criminal liability.
00:16:03.980 Canadian women
00:16:05.620 are looking for more.
00:16:07.000 More out of themselves,
00:16:08.000 their businesses,
00:16:08.940 their elected leaders,
00:16:09.900 and the world around them.
00:16:11.120 And that's why we're thrilled
00:16:12.080 to introduce
00:16:12.740 the Honest Talk podcast.
00:16:14.780 I'm Jennifer Stewart.

00:16:24.580 all at different stages
00:16:25.620 of their journey.

00:16:38.840 about the big, beautiful bill.
00:16:40.780 Much of what was in it
00:16:41.780 that's going to affect you
00:16:42.540 and your family
00:16:43.060 in a positive way.
00:16:44.860 Share this,
00:16:45.720 our top 12 list
00:16:47.080 of things in this bill.
00:16:48.600 Share it wherever you can
00:16:49.400 on social media.
00:16:50.260 Take a listen.
00:16:51.620 You can watch CNN
00:16:53.160 all day long.
00:16:54.520 God help you if you do.
00:16:55.860 Your eyes will bleed. 0.99
00:16:57.100 You will go insane 0.91
00:16:58.020 and run around in circles. 0.53
00:16:59.280 But you could watch it
00:17:00.320 all day long
00:17:00.880 and you will not get
00:17:01.760 this information
00:17:02.900 that you're getting
00:17:03.980 right now on verdict.
00:17:05.780 12 victories
00:17:06.600 that are in the one
00:17:07.580 big, beautiful bill.
00:17:09.200 Victory number one.
00:17:10.920 We have stopped
00:17:11.860 a $4 trillion tax increase.
00:17:14.600 If we did nothing
00:17:15.420 on December 31st,
00:17:17.000 the Trump tax cuts
00:17:17.940 would disappear
00:17:18.620 and every American taxpayer,
00:17:20.460 your taxes would go up
00:17:21.660 significantly.
00:17:23.320 $4 trillion.
00:17:24.300 Every taxpayer.
00:17:25.400 And by the way,
00:17:26.200 the Democrats wanted
00:17:27.300 your taxes to go up
00:17:28.860 to stop a $4 trillion
00:17:30.680 tax increase
00:17:31.780 is a massive victory.
00:17:33.940 That's victory one
00:17:34.840 in the one big,
00:17:35.480 beautiful bill.
00:17:36.760 Victory two.
00:17:38.080 We enacted new tax cuts.
00:17:40.320 No tax on tips.
00:17:41.520 Yep.
00:17:41.880 That's my legislation.
00:17:43.140 I drafted it.
00:17:44.260 It is in this bill.
00:17:45.420 That means if you're
00:17:46.400 a waiter or a waitress,
00:17:47.600 if you're a bartender,
00:17:48.880 if you're a barber
00:17:49.880 or a hairstylist,
00:17:50.940 if you work in a nail salon,
00:17:52.340 if you're a taxi cab driver
00:17:53.680 or an Uber driver,
00:17:55.520 millions of Americans
00:17:56.720 rely on tips,
00:17:57.740 we're providing real
00:17:58.860 and meaningful tax relief
00:18:00.120 to working Americans.
00:18:01.180 That's in there.
00:18:02.340 No tax on overtime
00:18:03.440 is in there.
00:18:04.460 No tax on Social Security
00:18:05.740 is in there.
00:18:06.320 All three of those
00:18:07.300 were President Trump's
00:18:08.600 campaign promises.
00:18:09.700 We delivered on all three
00:18:10.820 of those.
00:18:11.700 And working Americans
00:18:12.780 all across Texas
00:18:13.660 and all across this country
00:18:14.840 will see the benefits
00:18:16.400 of those major tax cuts.
00:18:19.780 That's huge.
00:18:20.960 I mean, it's just huge
00:18:21.800 when you think about that
00:18:22.940 and you think about the promise
00:18:24.220 and how it was,
00:18:25.900 you know,
00:18:26.120 you look at the president.
00:18:26.980 I go back to the campaign
00:18:28.020 and he came out
00:18:29.420 and he was in Vegas
00:18:30.120 and he was like,
00:18:31.080 hey, we shouldn't be taxing people.
00:18:32.820 They're working their tails off
00:18:33.700 and the tips
00:18:34.220 and everything else.
00:18:35.200 And then the left
00:18:35.880 actually came out
00:18:36.580 and immediately started
00:18:37.320 attacking him
00:18:37.960 for the saying
00:18:38.380 it'll never happen.
00:18:39.180 This is not a good idea.
00:18:40.580 They did say
00:18:41.480 it'll never happen.
00:18:42.180 They said it's an empty promise.
00:18:43.540 Yep.
00:18:43.760 By the way,
00:18:44.220 I've told the story
00:18:45.060 of where he came up
00:18:45.780 with the idea of no tax on tips.
00:18:47.340 He was the day 0.87
00:18:47.980 of his Vegas rally.
00:18:48.900 He was having lunch in Vegas.
00:18:50.340 He said there was a waitress
00:18:51.340 who came up to him
00:18:52.160 and was serving him lunch
00:18:53.600 and Trump being Trump,
00:18:54.980 he told us,
00:18:55.740 he said,
00:18:56.220 she was beautiful.
00:18:57.540 I'm telling you,
00:18:58.380 she was beautiful.
00:18:59.880 And he said
00:19:01.060 she was saying
00:19:01.740 how stressful it was
00:19:02.860 to pay taxes on tips
00:19:03.960 and how complicated it was.
00:19:05.620 And he said
00:19:05.900 he just put on a piece of paper
00:19:07.000 and he wrote on the piece of paper
00:19:08.080 no tax on tips.
00:19:09.360 He said,
00:19:09.600 what do you think?
00:19:10.380 She says,
00:19:10.760 that sounds great.
00:19:11.560 And he said,
00:19:12.240 I had a rally that afternoon
00:19:13.400 so I went out to the rally
00:19:14.380 and I said,
00:19:14.720 all right,
00:19:14.900 let's try it out.
00:19:16.000 And he said,
00:19:16.440 no tax on tips.
00:19:17.540 The place went nuts.
00:19:18.480 It went nuts.
00:19:19.140 Because that's a tipped town.
00:19:20.640 I mean,
00:19:20.820 it is.
00:19:21.720 25% of the workers in Nevada
00:19:24.180 are tipped workers.
00:19:26.120 They rely on it
00:19:27.280 as their income.
00:19:28.000 Yes.
00:19:28.380 And so I saw it
00:19:29.740 and I said,
00:19:30.240 this is political genius
00:19:31.340 and I immediately drafted
00:19:32.980 the legislation
00:19:33.540 to make it happen.
00:19:34.880 That is part of
00:19:35.560 one big beautiful bill.
00:19:36.840 Victory 3.
00:19:38.720 Securing the border.
00:19:39.880 We mentioned
00:19:40.500 what the president
00:19:41.760 has done
00:19:42.220 by enforcing the law.
00:19:43.340 What we put in
00:19:43.920 one big beautiful bill
00:19:44.960 is $150 billion
00:19:47.740 to secure the border.
00:19:49.360 It is the largest
00:19:50.260 investment in border security
00:19:51.740 in the history of America.
00:19:53.980 It will build the wall.
00:19:55.180 It will complete the wall.
00:19:56.640 We will hire 0.99
00:19:57.220 more border patrol agents.
00:19:58.500 We will hire 0.99
00:19:59.020 more ICE agents.
00:20:00.000 We will build
00:20:00.520 more detention facilities.
00:20:02.260 We will have
00:20:02.840 more detention beds
00:20:03.980 and we will employ
00:20:05.500 technology,
00:20:06.640 infrared,
00:20:07.280 drones,
00:20:07.880 helicopters.
00:20:08.940 It is,
00:20:09.720 as I said,
00:20:10.500 the biggest investment
00:20:11.400 ever to secure the border.
00:20:13.160 That is in the bill.
00:20:14.100 One of the things
00:20:15.180 that you mentioned
00:20:15.680 there was technology.
00:20:16.820 It is amazing
00:20:17.440 to see how far behind
00:20:18.480 we've been on technology
00:20:19.260 and how we didn't have
00:20:21.520 the funding
00:20:22.100 for the technology
00:20:22.880 that we knew we needed.
00:20:24.380 That was clearly done
00:20:25.200 on purpose
00:20:25.620 by the prior administration
00:20:26.760 because if you don't
00:20:27.580 have the technology
00:20:28.420 then you're behind.
00:20:29.340 The cartels are ahead.
00:20:30.340 The human traffickers
00:20:31.060 are ahead.
00:20:31.920 The people are ahead of you.
00:20:33.640 They held us back
00:20:34.860 on purpose
00:20:35.720 to, again,
00:20:36.840 open the border.
00:20:37.840 Yes.
00:20:38.120 So we've been playing catch up
00:20:39.420 and that's why this money
00:20:40.360 was so important in this bill.
00:20:41.500 There's another strategic victory
00:20:42.820 which is every spending bill
00:20:44.500 the Democrats hold
00:20:45.480 border spending
00:20:46.140 and military spending hostage.
00:20:47.680 Yep.
00:20:47.860 What we've done
00:20:48.580 is funded the things
00:20:49.640 that are critical
00:20:50.160 to keeping this country safe
00:20:51.460 which means the Democrats
00:20:52.620 can't hold it hostage anymore.
00:20:54.020 So it has,
00:20:55.180 there's a tactical advantage
00:20:56.580 going forward
00:20:57.340 on the next budget battle
00:20:58.640 because this $150 billion
00:21:00.380 we have appropriated it.
00:21:01.940 It is going out the door
00:21:03.180 and there's not a damn thing 0.54
00:21:04.800 Chuck Schumer
00:21:05.420 or AOC can do to stop it.
00:21:07.200 That is valuable.
00:21:08.200 On the psyche aspect of it
00:21:10.260 because I do think
00:21:11.580 this is one of the things
00:21:12.740 that is,
00:21:13.300 I'm witnessing a change.
00:21:15.060 Our border patrol agents
00:21:16.460 whether it's
00:21:16.920 Department of Homeland Security,
00:21:17.920 ICE,
00:21:18.580 their mentality right now
00:21:20.560 has got to be on a high.
00:21:23.020 It is like a drowning man
00:21:25.160 about to die
00:21:26.620 given a life preserver
00:21:28.600 lifted out,
00:21:29.900 saved,
00:21:30.760 they're able to do their jobs,
00:21:32.340 they're locking up bad guys.
00:21:33.460 They're fired up.
00:21:34.080 They're ready to go to war.
00:21:35.020 They're stopping human traffickers,
00:21:35.660 they're stopping drug traffickers
00:21:36.900 every time I see
00:21:37.840 a border patrol agent
00:21:39.000 or an ICE agent.
00:21:39.840 To be honest,
00:21:40.540 half the time we just hug.
00:21:42.340 I mean,
00:21:42.560 the level of,
00:21:43.520 they're just like,
00:21:44.140 thank God.
00:21:45.040 We get to do our job.
00:21:46.680 Victory number four,
00:21:49.200 repaying the states
00:21:50.580 for border security.
00:21:52.020 $13.5 billion,
00:21:53.720 over $10 billion
00:21:54.840 going to Texas.
00:21:56.080 Texas taxpayers
00:21:56.960 spent over $10 billion
00:21:58.380 to secure the border
00:21:59.480 because Joe Biden
00:22:00.240 and the Democrats
00:22:00.940 refused to do so.
00:22:03.620 I helped lead the charge
00:22:04.940 to repay the states.
00:22:06.180 That is in there.
00:22:07.140 That means Texas
00:22:07.960 is getting over $10 billion
00:22:09.860 paid back.
00:22:11.240 That's a huge victory.
00:22:12.300 Victory number four.
00:22:13.960 Victory number five.
00:22:15.940 Rebuilding the military.
00:22:18.200 Massive.
00:22:18.580 Over $150 billion
00:22:21.240 to support our soldiers,
00:22:23.780 our sailors,
00:22:24.480 our airmen,
00:22:25.020 our Marines,
00:22:25.820 to build new submarines,
00:22:27.300 to build new
00:22:28.380 next generation fighter jets,
00:22:29.900 to improve our ability
00:22:31.960 to stand up to China, 0.94
00:22:34.420 to stand up to our enemies,
00:22:35.640 to combat hypersonics,
00:22:37.820 the next generation of warfare.
00:22:39.700 Look,
00:22:40.300 with the military,
00:22:41.180 often you're fighting
00:22:41.880 the last war.
00:22:43.600 We're going forward,
00:22:44.860 we're going to face
00:22:45.520 10,000 drone swarms
00:22:48.200 using AI,
00:22:49.940 investing $150 billion
00:22:52.000 to make sure
00:22:53.200 we can defend this nation.
00:22:55.140 There's no responsibility
00:22:56.360 the federal government has
00:22:57.480 that is more important.
00:22:58.740 And by the way,
00:22:59.960 this is the money
00:23:00.660 the Democrats
00:23:01.160 always hold hostage.
00:23:02.460 So we funded it right now.
00:23:04.780 They can't,
00:23:05.280 they can no longer
00:23:06.120 touch this hostage
00:23:07.020 because this is done.
00:23:08.780 Huge.
00:23:10.180 Victory number six.
00:23:12.360 The Coast Guard.
00:23:13.600 Now this is something
00:23:14.340 I'm particularly proud of
00:23:15.540 because, as you know,
00:23:16.700 I'm the chairman
00:23:17.200 of the Committee on Commerce,
00:23:18.680 Science, and Transportation.
00:23:19.780 Yep.
00:23:20.200 The Coast Guard
00:23:20.760 is in our jurisdiction.
00:23:22.060 So I wrote
00:23:23.060 the Coast Guard provision.
00:23:25.040 $24 billion
00:23:26.600 for the Coast Guard.
00:23:28.780 This is the single
00:23:30.180 largest investment
00:23:31.280 in the Coast Guard
00:23:32.080 in the history
00:23:32.640 of the United States
00:23:33.340 of America.
00:23:34.380 To give you a sense
00:23:35.640 of the scope
00:23:36.480 of the order of magnitude,
00:23:38.620 the annual budget
00:23:39.600 of the Coast Guard
00:23:40.340 is about $12 billion.
00:23:42.340 We are spending
00:23:43.440 about 200%
00:23:45.280 of the annual budget
00:23:46.740 on the Coast Guard
00:23:47.560 in investments.
00:23:48.620 And what are we doing?
00:23:49.780 We're buying new ships.
00:23:50.880 We're buying new helicopters.
00:23:52.740 We're buying new
00:23:53.300 physical infrastructure.
00:23:54.300 And critically,
00:23:55.760 we're investing
00:23:56.620 in ice cutters
00:23:57.600 and polar ice cutters
00:23:58.640 and Arctic ice cutters.
00:23:59.880 Right now, 1.00
00:24:00.880 China is kicking our ass 1.00
00:24:03.360 in the Arctic. 1.00
00:24:04.460 And the Arctic
00:24:05.080 is critical
00:24:05.820 for national security.
00:24:07.400 Any war ICBMs
00:24:08.900 are going to come
00:24:09.320 over the Arctic.
00:24:10.040 The Arctic is now,
00:24:11.260 you've got the United States
00:24:12.280 on the Arctic,
00:24:12.900 you've got China 0.99
00:24:14.040 playing on the Arctic,
00:24:14.900 you've got Russia 0.96
00:24:15.840 playing on the Arctic,
00:24:16.820 and we are losing.
00:24:19.040 This funding
00:24:19.980 will enable us
00:24:20.920 not only to compete
00:24:21.900 to win,
00:24:22.620 and by the way,
00:24:23.660 a huge theme
00:24:24.700 of everything I do
00:24:25.500 in Congress
00:24:25.980 is beat China,
00:24:26.920 beat China, 0.95
00:24:27.540 beat China.
00:24:28.540 This investment
00:24:29.260 in the Coast Guard
00:24:29.940 is to beat China
00:24:30.900 and the Arctic.
00:24:32.060 But let me tell you
00:24:32.840 a huge America First
00:24:34.120 benefit for this,
00:24:35.860 which is shipbuilding
00:24:36.940 in America
00:24:37.620 has almost entirely disappeared.
00:24:39.600 Yeah.
00:24:40.180 And that's scary
00:24:40.880 from a national security standpoint.
00:24:42.060 It is very scary.
00:24:43.520 But this Coast Guard bill
00:24:45.260 will bring shipbuilding
00:24:47.260 back to America. 0.89
00:24:48.400 You look at Galveston, Texas.
00:24:49.880 Yeah.
00:24:50.020 There's a huge multi-billion dollar
00:24:52.120 shipyard
00:24:52.700 that is being built
00:24:54.300 and expanded right now
00:24:55.580 to build these ice cutters.
00:24:57.380 And the problem previously
00:24:58.900 is if you're a private company,
00:25:00.960 you couldn't make
00:25:01.940 the multi-billion dollar investment
00:25:03.860 because you didn't know
00:25:05.040 where demand
00:25:05.600 was going to come from.
00:25:06.540 Because we have
00:25:07.320 $24 billion appropriated,
00:25:09.700 there is a multi-year stream
00:25:12.160 of buy orders
00:25:13.360 coming from the Coast Guard
00:25:14.580 for these ice cutters. 0.91
00:25:15.900 That is going to bring back
00:25:17.400 thousands of jobs,
00:25:19.040 good American jobs
00:25:20.400 right here building ships
00:25:22.060 to keep America safe.
00:25:23.500 That is in the bill.
00:25:24.720 I'll tell you,
00:25:25.320 when I was in the Hill Country,
00:25:26.560 when I was with
00:25:27.160 the Coast Guardsmen
00:25:28.320 who were rescuing Texans
00:25:29.940 from the floods,
00:25:31.580 every single Coastie,
00:25:33.680 every one of them,
00:25:34.640 every man and woman
00:25:35.560 knew exactly about
00:25:38.100 this investment
00:25:38.800 in the Coast Guard.
00:25:39.560 They knew it was
00:25:40.000 the biggest in history.
00:25:41.220 And every one of them said,
00:25:42.500 thank you,
00:25:43.280 this will make
00:25:44.140 a massive difference
00:25:45.760 in our ability
00:25:46.280 to do our jobs.
00:25:46.560 I've got a good friend
00:25:47.360 in the Coast Guard
00:25:47.820 and he said to me
00:25:48.480 the other day about this.
00:25:49.500 He said,
00:25:49.900 you know,
00:25:50.160 the Coast Guard,
00:25:50.840 he's been in for 20 plus years.
00:25:53.140 He said,
00:25:53.560 we've always gotten
00:25:54.120 the hand-me-downs.
00:25:55.300 We get the leftover equipment
00:25:56.600 and the old equipment.
00:25:57.920 That's a lot of their equipment.
00:25:59.040 Literally come from surplus,
00:26:00.580 from military and other things.
00:26:02.220 He said,
00:26:02.700 this is the first time
00:26:03.520 that we are now like
00:26:04.480 on the cutting edge
00:26:05.760 on our own
00:26:06.980 because of what you just described.
00:26:08.700 He said,
00:26:09.300 not only has morale
00:26:10.120 gone through the roof,
00:26:10.840 we're no longer
00:26:11.400 like the forgotten agency.
00:26:12.760 Like we're kind of like,
00:26:13.640 oh,
00:26:13.680 the fifth wheel
00:26:14.480 of military and government.
00:26:16.940 He's like,
00:26:17.220 now we matter
00:26:18.100 and it matters
00:26:18.760 for national security
00:26:19.660 as he described it
00:26:20.400 and I think that's a great point.
00:26:21.600 That is absolutely right
00:26:22.680 and by the way,
00:26:23.200 the Coast Guard
00:26:23.780 also does drug interdiction.
00:26:25.600 It does border security.
00:26:26.900 Exactly.
00:26:27.260 The Coast Guard
00:26:27.620 is critical
00:26:28.200 for securing our border
00:26:29.400 and so this investment,
00:26:30.620 having those Coast Guard cutters 1.00
00:26:31.820 to stop drug traffickers,
00:26:33.380 stop human traffickers
00:26:34.940 and also to engage
00:26:36.180 in search and rescue,
00:26:37.140 which is hugely important.
00:26:39.660 That investment,
00:26:40.820 something I care deeply about
00:26:42.420 and by the way,
00:26:44.480 we're at number six.
00:26:46.400 I told you
00:26:46.880 I'm going to give you 12
00:26:47.920 major conservative victories
00:26:49.920 in the one big beautiful wheel.
00:26:51.100 We're at six.
00:26:51.760 I actually want listeners
00:26:52.660 to pause for a second.
00:26:54.600 How many of you
00:26:55.600 could list the first six
00:26:56.800 before this podcast?
00:26:58.680 And I just want to make the point,
00:27:00.520 what kind of job
00:27:01.460 does the corporate media do?
00:27:02.780 I'm willing to bet
00:27:03.680 virtually none of our listeners
00:27:05.560 could have listed
00:27:06.320 those first six
00:27:07.340 because the news
00:27:08.380 hasn't covered it
00:27:09.240 and it's why we do this podcast,
00:27:10.900 to give you information
00:27:12.660 so that when you're talking
00:27:14.540 to your friends
00:27:15.180 and your colleagues,
00:27:16.100 you will know
00:27:16.700 what's being accomplished.
00:27:18.240 There's a reason
00:27:18.980 President Trump
00:27:19.660 is so excited
00:27:20.340 about this one big beautiful bill
00:27:21.860 because it is massive,
00:27:23.720 massive victories for America.
00:27:26.580 Number seven.
00:27:27.340 Number seven.
00:27:28.840 Spectrum.
00:27:30.240 Now spectrum.
00:27:31.120 What is spectrum?
00:27:32.160 Electromagnetic spectrum.
00:27:33.180 It is how we communicate.
00:27:35.000 It's how our cell phones work.
00:27:36.080 It's how Wi-Fi works.
00:27:37.160 It's how satellites work.
00:27:38.420 It's how streaming works.
00:27:39.520 It's all of electronics.
00:27:41.880 Spectrum.
00:27:43.120 The largest holder of spectrum
00:27:45.000 is the United States government.
00:27:46.660 The United States government
00:27:47.600 has vast swaths of spectrum
00:27:49.580 and under Joe Biden,
00:27:51.480 the United States government
00:27:52.580 stopped making new spectrum
00:27:54.620 available to the private sector.
00:27:55.940 They ended auction authority.
00:27:57.440 It was grotesquely irresponsible.
00:27:59.980 It did massive damage to America.
00:28:01.880 It destroyed jobs in America
00:28:03.560 and it let China
00:28:04.940 get ahead of America.
00:28:06.080 In this bill,
00:28:08.300 I wrote the legislation
00:28:10.520 that directs the federal government
00:28:12.520 to auction to the private sector
00:28:14.460 800 megahertz
00:28:16.020 of spectrum
00:28:17.800 for private sector investment.
00:28:19.420 What does that mean?
00:28:20.080 Number one,
00:28:22.720 that will generate
00:28:23.920 in excess of
00:28:25.260 $100 billion
00:28:26.840 of revenue
00:28:28.000 to the federal government.
00:28:29.540 Wow.
00:28:29.960 Real money.
00:28:30.600 Now, even in government terms,
00:28:33.380 $100 billion
00:28:33.980 is real money.
00:28:35.220 And listen,
00:28:35.760 you and I are deeply concerned
00:28:36.900 about the deficit
00:28:37.600 and the debt.
00:28:38.740 The entire commerce title
00:28:40.900 that I wrote
00:28:41.520 that had historic investments
00:28:42.920 in Coast Guard
00:28:43.700 and a bunch of other things,
00:28:46.080 I ended up saving
00:28:47.060 over $40 billion,
00:28:48.880 reducing the deficit
00:28:49.880 and the debt
00:28:50.400 by over $40 billion.
00:28:52.380 And the driver was,
00:28:53.580 because of Spectrum Auction Authority,
00:28:55.940 we brought in,
00:28:56.820 we will bring in
00:28:57.620 $100 billion
00:28:58.560 to pay down the debt.
00:29:00.580 That's real money,
00:29:01.560 but it's not
00:29:01.920 the biggest piece of this.
00:29:03.460 The biggest piece of this
00:29:04.800 is by auctioning
00:29:05.580 this Spectrum off,
00:29:07.660 we will open up
00:29:09.080 billions and billions
00:29:10.680 of dollars
00:29:11.300 of private sector investment.
00:29:12.880 The companies
00:29:13.320 that buy this Spectrum
00:29:14.540 are going to invest.
00:29:15.960 It is going to create
00:29:17.120 hundreds of thousands of jobs.
00:29:19.880 That is not an exaggeration.
00:29:21.560 Hundreds of thousands of jobs.
00:29:23.360 And you know what Spectrum
00:29:24.080 is all about?
00:29:25.560 Beating China to 6G.
00:29:27.680 I mentioned my consistent theme,
00:29:29.420 beat China.
00:29:30.080 Beat China in the Arctic 0.61
00:29:31.500 with the Coast Guard.
00:29:32.800 Beat China to 6G
00:29:34.240 with Spectrum.
00:29:35.980 And I got to tell you,
00:29:37.620 three months ago,
00:29:39.640 there was nobody
00:29:40.820 in Washington
00:29:41.700 who thought
00:29:42.440 we could get this done.
00:29:43.900 I sat in the office
00:29:44.780 of the Speaker of the House,
00:29:46.500 Mike Johnson,
00:29:47.140 a good friend of mine.
00:29:48.020 I said,
00:29:48.340 Mike,
00:29:49.080 we're going to do Spectrum
00:29:50.120 on the one big,
00:29:51.180 beautiful bill.
00:29:51.700 And Mike laughed in my face.
00:29:53.000 He's a good friend,
00:29:53.760 but he didn't start laughing.
00:29:54.700 There's no way.
00:29:55.160 He said,
00:29:55.540 there's no chance
00:29:56.520 because the Department of Defense
00:29:58.600 and the CIA
00:29:59.740 will fight you.
00:30:00.580 They will stop you.
00:30:01.300 You cannot get it done.
00:30:03.580 We not only got it done
00:30:04.920 when I cut the deal
00:30:05.960 and got it in the bill,
00:30:07.220 President Trump called me
00:30:08.360 the next morning.
00:30:09.140 He said,
00:30:09.540 Ted,
00:30:10.500 this is incredible.
00:30:12.040 This is like,
00:30:12.960 how did you get
00:30:14.100 such an incredible deal?
00:30:17.960 Historic Spectrum
00:30:19.100 auction authority
00:30:20.020 producing hundreds
00:30:20.940 of thousands of jobs
00:30:22.060 and beating China
00:30:23.120 to 6G?
00:30:24.140 That's in the bill.
00:30:24.980 Number eight,
00:30:27.760 air traffic control.
00:30:29.480 This bill invests
00:30:30.800 $12.5 billion
00:30:32.240 modernizing our air traffic control
00:30:34.660 to keep your family safer
00:30:36.320 when you fly,
00:30:37.040 to keep my family safer
00:30:38.160 when we fly,
00:30:39.260 to stop using
00:30:40.460 outdated radars,
00:30:41.600 to stop using computers
00:30:42.820 that have floppy disks
00:30:43.900 and little slips of paper.
00:30:44.320 And copper wire.
00:30:45.180 Copper wire
00:30:46.040 to modernize
00:30:47.400 our air traffic control,
00:30:48.640 a massive investment
00:30:50.060 in keeping
00:30:50.800 the American public safe.
00:30:52.660 This bill,
00:30:53.160 I wrote that portion,
00:30:54.180 that is also in the
00:30:54.940 commerce title,
00:30:55.600 so I wrote that portion
00:30:56.720 that will fund
00:30:57.880 and improve
00:30:58.480 air traffic control
00:30:59.680 a huge victory.
00:31:01.260 Number nine,
00:31:02.780 space.
00:31:03.520 Yep.
00:31:04.160 This bill has
00:31:05.160 $10 billion
00:31:06.520 for NASA
00:31:07.620 to go to the moon
00:31:10.220 for the Artemis program,
00:31:11.780 for the Gateway program,
00:31:13.140 to beat China
00:31:14.760 to the moon.
00:31:16.000 China has said
00:31:16.680 they intend to return
00:31:17.540 to the moon
00:31:18.020 by 2030.
00:31:19.760 In my view,
00:31:20.940 if we lose the moon
00:31:21.920 to China,
00:31:23.320 it would be
00:31:23.940 a catastrophic loss.
00:31:25.360 It would be a loss
00:31:26.200 if we woke up
00:31:27.300 in a few years
00:31:27.980 and China was on the moon
00:31:29.080 and China established
00:31:30.020 a base on the moon,
00:31:30.880 which is what they said
00:31:31.560 they intend to do
00:31:32.400 with the Russians.
00:31:33.880 And they made that
00:31:34.460 very clear.
00:31:35.080 That is the sole intent
00:31:36.500 of going,
00:31:36.820 it's not just to go to the moon,
00:31:37.620 it's to have a base
00:31:38.740 on the moon.
00:31:39.420 Yes.
00:31:40.080 If they did that
00:31:41.260 and we lost,
00:31:42.620 I think it would be
00:31:43.840 worse than Sputnik.
00:31:45.840 That it would be
00:31:46.720 a national body blow
00:31:48.800 that would crush
00:31:50.040 this country.
00:31:50.740 And look,
00:31:51.000 the moon is critical,
00:31:52.540 number one,
00:31:53.140 for national security.
00:31:54.200 The moon is the high ground.
00:31:55.680 You look at so much
00:31:56.660 of our national security
00:31:57.620 and so much
00:31:58.100 of our commerce
00:31:58.680 depends on satellites
00:32:00.180 in orbit around the earth.
00:32:01.780 The moon gives you
00:32:02.620 the high ground.
00:32:03.940 It is very dangerous
00:32:05.100 for us to cede that
00:32:06.400 to China.
00:32:06.960 It is unacceptable
00:32:07.860 for us to cede that
00:32:09.220 to China.
00:32:09.740 But number two,
00:32:10.840 there are massive
00:32:11.860 rare earth minerals
00:32:13.160 on the moon.
00:32:14.340 There are enormous
00:32:15.000 economic advantages.
00:32:16.280 It is current
00:32:17.680 U.S. law
00:32:18.360 that it is the policy
00:32:20.160 of the American
00:32:20.760 government to have
00:32:21.700 a sustained human
00:32:22.660 habitation either
00:32:23.600 on the lunar surface
00:32:24.700 or in cislunar orbit.
00:32:27.880 This investment
00:32:29.040 in beating China
00:32:30.340 to the moon,
00:32:30.860 and by the way,
00:32:31.320 the moon is a
00:32:32.780 stepping stone to Mars.
00:32:34.060 We will go to Mars,
00:32:35.160 but we haven't landed
00:32:36.300 on a celestial body
00:32:37.340 in over 50 years,
00:32:38.240 so we're going to land
00:32:38.780 on the moon first
00:32:39.480 to make sure we know
00:32:40.420 how to do it,
00:32:40.940 and then we're going
00:32:41.320 to go to Mars.
00:32:42.580 This investment,
00:32:43.820 I wrote this investment
00:32:44.940 in there.
00:32:45.880 I will say there was
00:32:47.180 significant resistance,
00:32:49.860 and without getting
00:32:50.920 too much into the
00:32:51.720 sausage making,
00:32:52.940 we won against
00:32:55.180 the resistance.
00:32:56.060 This is in there.
00:32:57.380 It is a massive investment.
00:32:59.480 And China is going
00:33:00.360 to notice this as well.
00:33:01.540 Yeah.
00:33:01.700 That is exactly right.
00:33:03.280 That's number nine.
00:33:04.060 Number ten,
00:33:06.220 CAFE standards.
00:33:07.880 The standards that mandate
00:33:09.520 you keep having to have
00:33:10.600 higher and higher
00:33:11.180 fuel efficiency,
00:33:11.940 on your cars.
00:33:13.520 That's what the
00:33:14.140 Biden administration
00:33:14.880 has used as its tool,
00:33:16.880 as one of its tools,
00:33:18.280 to wage the war
00:33:19.800 on the internal
00:33:20.340 combustion engine,
00:33:21.100 to try to force
00:33:21.720 every car to be electric,
00:33:23.080 is they keep jacking
00:33:24.040 up CAFE standards
00:33:24.900 higher and higher and higher.
00:33:27.040 What does that mean?
00:33:27.920 Number one,
00:33:28.240 it drives up the cost
00:33:29.020 of your cars.
00:33:29.820 You notice cars
00:33:30.380 have gotten a lot
00:33:30.800 more expensive.
00:33:31.400 Trucks have gotten
00:33:31.980 a lot more expensive.
00:33:33.340 Number two,
00:33:33.780 it makes cars less safe,
00:33:35.420 because one of the ways
00:33:36.200 you get the gas efficiency
00:33:37.180 higher is you replace
00:33:38.200 metal with plastics.
00:33:39.260 Yeah,
00:33:39.500 make a lighter.
00:33:40.060 Cheap plastic
00:33:41.640 that crumbles
00:33:42.500 in a crash
00:33:43.360 and more people die.
00:33:45.880 In the commerce section
00:33:47.020 of the one big
00:33:48.080 beautiful bill,
00:33:48.780 you know what we did
00:33:49.220 to CAFE standards?
00:33:50.600 What was that?
00:33:51.460 Zeroed them out.
00:33:52.400 Really?
00:33:52.860 They're gone.
00:33:53.820 So it's actually,
00:33:54.620 so you're telling me
00:33:55.880 that my car,
00:33:56.600 instead of being all plastic,
00:33:57.740 we have a little fender
00:33:58.320 and everything breaks,
00:33:59.800 they could actually
00:34:00.380 go back and say,
00:34:00.960 hey, we're not trying
00:34:01.460 to save weight here.
00:34:02.220 We're trying to actually
00:34:02.860 make safe cars again.
00:34:03.940 It can be a great
00:34:05.240 American car again,
00:34:06.740 made of steel,
00:34:07.720 tough as hell.
00:34:08.540 And by the way,
00:34:09.220 you want to buy
00:34:09.640 an electric car?
00:34:10.320 Great.
00:34:10.840 That's your choice.
00:34:11.800 You want to buy
00:34:12.340 a hybrid?
00:34:12.900 Great.
00:34:13.160 You want to buy
00:34:13.660 a gas car?
00:34:14.620 Great.
00:34:15.100 It ought to be
00:34:15.640 consumers choosing.
00:34:16.580 And actually,
00:34:17.100 the way we did this,
00:34:19.220 we very much modeled
00:34:20.520 how in 2017,
00:34:22.160 we repealed the individual
00:34:23.460 mandate on Obamacare.
00:34:24.460 So that was a fight
00:34:25.220 I led in 2017.
00:34:27.020 The individual mandate,
00:34:28.260 the way we eliminated it
00:34:29.940 is under the rules
00:34:32.940 of reconciliation,
00:34:33.660 we could not eliminate
00:34:36.080 the legal mandate
00:34:37.700 to buy health insurance,
00:34:39.080 which was the individual
00:34:39.720 mandate under Obamacare.
00:34:41.220 So you know what we did?
00:34:42.500 We made the penalty zero.
00:34:45.040 So it used to be
00:34:45.980 the IRS fines you.
00:34:47.040 If you didn't buy
00:34:47.480 health insurance,
00:34:48.140 the IRS would fine you.
00:34:49.300 It is still the law.
00:34:50.620 You're required
00:34:51.120 to buy health insurance.
00:34:51.820 And if you don't,
00:34:52.960 you will be fined
00:34:53.660 zero dollars and zero cents.
00:34:55.420 We did the same thing
00:34:56.400 to CAFE standards.
00:34:57.180 So they can put
00:34:57.760 their standards out.
00:34:58.600 Yeah.
00:34:58.940 But the penalty
00:34:59.600 for violating it
00:35:00.740 is zero.
00:35:02.400 And I want to mention,
00:35:03.280 look,
00:35:03.940 this is again,
00:35:04.920 like PBS and NPR,
00:35:06.860 this has been
00:35:07.760 a conservative battle
00:35:08.900 for 50 years.
00:35:11.100 And Democrats
00:35:12.000 have been winning
00:35:12.520 for 50 years,
00:35:13.360 unfortunately.
00:35:14.000 And we got this done.
00:35:15.340 I wrote this portion.
00:35:16.580 It is in the bill.
00:35:17.680 It is zeroed out.
00:35:18.920 And we got this done.
00:35:20.400 And I'm willing to bet
00:35:21.460 fewer than 1%
00:35:23.260 of our listeners
00:35:23.960 even knew we had done it
00:35:25.740 because we won
00:35:27.060 so many victories
00:35:28.160 that this falls
00:35:29.240 all the way down
00:35:29.920 to number 10 on the list.
00:35:31.560 Incredible.
00:35:32.240 Well done.
00:35:33.060 The final two.
00:35:33.880 Yep.
00:35:34.300 The final two,
00:35:35.160 as you know,
00:35:35.580 are very near
00:35:36.320 and dear to my heart.
00:35:38.160 Number 11
00:35:38.720 is school choice.
00:35:40.160 In this bill,
00:35:41.280 we passed
00:35:42.000 the single largest
00:35:43.600 and most consequential
00:35:44.840 federal school choice bill
00:35:46.040 in the history
00:35:47.180 of our country.
00:35:47.820 I wrote this provision.
00:35:49.820 Every single
00:35:50.480 American taxpayer
00:35:51.400 can now contribute
00:35:53.280 up to $1,700 a year
00:35:55.320 to a scholarship
00:35:56.560 granting organization
00:35:57.600 in the states
00:35:58.360 and get a dollar
00:35:59.540 for dollar credit
00:36:00.580 on their taxes.
00:36:01.960 It means the money
00:36:02.580 is free.
00:36:03.560 The effect of this
00:36:04.940 is going to be
00:36:06.420 tens of billions
00:36:07.540 of new scholarship money
00:36:09.020 in the states
00:36:10.700 for school choice,
00:36:12.600 for K-12 school choice.
00:36:14.500 We're going to do
00:36:15.020 a subsequent pod
00:36:15.860 that does a really
00:36:16.580 deep dive
00:36:17.300 because...
00:36:18.660 This is part
00:36:19.180 of your legacy,
00:36:19.840 by the way.
00:36:20.400 This is going to be
00:36:21.200 part of your legacy.
00:36:21.780 This is the issue
00:36:22.460 I care more about
00:36:23.840 than anything else.
00:36:25.260 I have spent
00:36:25.740 30 years fighting for it
00:36:27.220 and we're going to do
00:36:27.980 another pod 0.94
00:36:28.460 where we do
00:36:28.760 a very deep dive
00:36:29.560 because there are
00:36:30.100 some aspects of this
00:36:31.260 that I want the listeners
00:36:32.440 to appreciate
00:36:33.140 that are both
00:36:33.800 incredible policy victories
00:36:35.840 but also massive
00:36:37.500 political victories.
00:36:38.640 We are creating incentives
00:36:39.920 to turn blue states red,
00:36:42.600 to build constituencies
00:36:44.020 of parents and kids
00:36:45.260 who want fantastic education.
00:36:47.980 This is...
00:36:48.660 I told the president
00:36:49.600 if and when we get this done
00:36:51.700 you will go down
00:36:52.440 in history
00:36:52.960 as one of the greatest
00:36:54.120 civil rights presidents
00:36:55.200 in our nation's history.
00:36:56.440 Your critics will never
00:36:57.240 acknowledge that.
00:36:58.260 But the reality will be
00:36:59.340 you're going to change
00:37:00.160 poor communities.
00:37:01.080 The reality is
00:37:02.040 the school choice provision
00:37:03.580 is massive
00:37:05.020 and it's in the bill
00:37:06.520 and then the final number 12
00:37:08.720 are the Trump accounts,
00:37:09.720 the Invest America accounts.
00:37:11.040 Again, I wrote this provision.
00:37:12.680 This could fundamentally
00:37:13.460 change this country,
00:37:14.600 by the way.
00:37:15.060 Yes, starting next year,
00:37:16.620 July 4th of next year,
00:37:18.540 the 250th anniversary
00:37:20.020 of the United States of America.
00:37:22.160 Every child in America
00:37:23.300 will have a personal
00:37:24.640 investment account.
00:37:25.980 Every newborn child
00:37:26.980 will have it seeded
00:37:27.740 with $1,000.
00:37:29.940 Parents, family,
00:37:32.400 employers can contribute
00:37:33.620 up to $5,000 a year
00:37:35.460 in a tax advantage account.
00:37:37.380 All of that money
00:37:38.060 is invested in the S&P 500,
00:37:39.920 is invested in the stock market.
00:37:41.500 That enables every kid
00:37:43.340 to enjoy the incredible benefits
00:37:45.240 of compound growth,
00:37:46.820 which will transform our kids. 0.68
00:37:50.120 The wealth creation
00:37:51.440 for the next generation
00:37:52.880 of Americans
00:37:53.440 will be utterly transformative.
00:37:55.600 And not only that,
00:37:56.800 this creates a new generation
00:37:58.300 of capitalists
00:37:59.100 as our kids
00:37:59.920 will all be owners
00:38:01.780 of the largest employers
00:38:03.080 in America.
00:38:04.720 These two victories,
00:38:06.200 school choice
00:38:06.860 and personal investment
00:38:10.120 accounts for kids
00:38:11.080 without exaggeration,
00:38:13.120 Ben, and I've told
00:38:13.580 the president this,
00:38:15.040 I think 10 years,
00:38:16.340 20 years,
00:38:17.120 30 years from now,
00:38:18.340 these will be the two things
00:38:19.820 everyone remembers
00:38:20.620 from this bill.
00:38:21.320 Everything else I listed,
00:38:22.640 1 through 10,
00:38:23.600 which are massive.
00:38:24.680 Yeah.
00:38:24.960 They are conservative victories
00:38:26.520 for the generations.
00:38:28.060 I think 11 and 12
00:38:29.600 will dwarf 1 in 10
00:38:30.860 because the difference,
00:38:33.340 we will see trillions
00:38:35.000 of dollars invested
00:38:36.320 in 401ks for kids
00:38:38.660 in these Trump accounts
00:38:39.920 that will change the future
00:38:41.280 of every one of our kids
00:38:42.300 and make them all
00:38:43.420 have skin in the game
00:38:44.680 in our capitalist society.
00:38:46.260 And school choice
00:38:47.080 is going to literally provide
00:38:49.040 hope and opportunity
00:38:50.500 to millions of kids.
00:38:52.100 We got both of them done.
00:38:53.740 Those are victories,
00:38:55.300 generational victories.
00:38:56.740 And when the president
00:38:57.760 signed it on July 4th,
00:38:59.300 they were victories
00:38:59.860 for all of America.
