00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.580 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.300 Welcome, it is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:09.680 And Senator, there's a big win we get to start off today with for the President of the United States of America
00:00:14.680 on one of his promises, which was to get DEI out of our military
00:00:19.800 and actually go back to what they're supposed to be doing, which is keeping us all safe.
00:00:24.600 Well, that's exactly right.
00:00:25.740 President Trump started his administration by putting in place a ban on transgender service members serving
00:00:32.740 and immediately got sued.
00:00:35.800 And the lawsuit, you had judges that ordered the ban not to go into effect.
00:00:41.600 It went to the Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court this week allowed the ban to go into effect.
00:00:47.120 Six-three, the Supreme Court said, yes, this ban can go into effect.
00:00:50.480 That was a big victory.
00:00:51.320 On top of that, we've got an amazing story about a foreign aid official
00:00:56.800 who refused to allow a DOGE officer to enter his agency to examine his financial records.
00:01:04.900 And actually, we've discovered a reason for this,
00:01:07.640 which is that he steered illicit contracts to a friend who sent him secret payments.
00:01:14.220 It is a level of corruption that is shocking.
00:01:17.380 We're going to explain that to you as well.
00:01:18.760 And finally, the president is going all in to defund NPR.
00:01:24.660 NPR, National Public Radio, it is long past time to defund NPR.
00:01:29.140 We're going to break down what the president is doing and just how
00:01:32.200 rabid and political and biased NPR is.
00:01:36.340 We're going to cover that as well.
00:01:38.140 Yeah, definitely.
00:01:38.860 It's a really big story, and it's one that could save taxpayers an awful lot of money.
00:01:43.420 Hey, I want to tell you real quick about the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
00:01:47.440 And did you know, just like here in the U.S., Israel has their own Independence Day.
00:01:52.880 In case you missed it, this year, Israel's Independence Day was a few days ago, on May 1st.
00:01:58.260 But for the people of Israel, freedom is nothing more than a daily struggle just to survive.
00:02:03.280 There's no real peace, only terror.
00:02:05.440 No joy and just suffering at the moment.
00:02:07.880 The Israeli government recognizes the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews for ongoing help
00:02:14.440 to make sure that the elderly, the sick, the wounded soldiers, and impoverished families
00:02:19.440 don't fall through the cracks.
00:02:21.380 And that is where your help is needed.
00:02:24.180 Your gift to the fellowship today will provide life-saving aid, medicine, hearty meals, safety, and comfort.
00:02:30.660 I believe that when we bless the people of Israel, we unlock God's blessing in our lives as well.
00:02:36.640 So show your support for Israel's independence by making a life-saving gift today.
00:02:42.680 You can call them at 888-488-IFCJ.
00:02:48.460 That's 888-488-4325.
00:02:53.200 Or go online to ifcj.org.
00:02:57.280 That's ifcj.org.
00:02:59.900 All right, so let's start, Senator, with this big story.
00:03:03.240 And look, the Supreme Court giving Trump a big win on the Pentagon transgender policy.
00:03:10.100 This is something the president campaigned on.
00:03:12.720 It is something the left tried to beat him up on.
00:03:15.600 And clearly the American people backed the president.
00:03:18.480 And the Supreme Court now giving him a win.
00:03:21.060 A lot of people were worried maybe it wouldn't happen this way, but it did, thank goodness.
00:03:25.140 And now Trump says, look, we get to go back to what we do well and not all this DEI woke crap.
00:03:30.480 Yeah, that's right.
00:03:31.500 On Tuesday, the Supreme Court entered an order that upheld the Trump administration's order banning transgender military service members from serving.
00:03:40.360 And the order that the Trump policy bars individuals with gender dysphoria or those who have undergone gender transition medical procedures from serving in the armed forces.
00:03:53.600 And, of course, the instant the policy was put in place, there was a lawsuit, a lawsuit that was brought challenging it.
00:04:00.620 And U.S. District Judge Benjamin Settle granted a preliminary injunction blocking the Department of Defense's policy from taking effect nationally.
00:04:11.140 And that was in March.
00:04:12.100 And he ruled that the hardship the government said allowing transgender people to serve would inflict, quote,
00:04:17.700 pales in comparison to the hardship imposed on those service members.
00:04:23.080 This was in the Ninth Circuit, which is the most liberal federal court of appeals in the country on the West Coast.
00:04:28.060 And a panel of judges in the Ninth Circuit declined to stop the injunction, so left it in place.
00:04:34.220 And the Trump administration appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
00:04:37.940 And the Supreme Court on Tuesday reversed that injunction.
00:04:41.600 It was 6-3.
00:04:42.760 The three left-wing justices, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Ketanji Brown-Jackson, dissented.
00:04:48.980 But all the other justices said the policy could go into effect.
00:04:53.060 And so this is a big, big victory for the Trump administration on a major issue.
00:04:59.260 And it's good for America.
00:05:01.440 When you look at what this means for our military, it means that the idea that we were going to have before,
00:05:08.820 which was the Biden dream and Obama's dream as well, that we're going to try all these social experiments.
00:05:15.100 Pete Hedgeseth has made it clear.
00:05:16.520 The president's made it clear.
00:05:17.600 That is not the job of the military.
00:05:19.660 We want to be ready.
00:05:21.320 We want cohesion.
00:05:22.500 We want there to be a service that works well together.
00:05:26.040 This is not supposed to be a melting pot of experiments, especially when we need to be ready at wartime.
00:05:33.220 So, Ben, more simply, the job of the military is to defeat our enemies.
00:05:37.460 It's to defend America.
00:05:38.700 It's to be the most badass fighting force on the face of the planet.
00:05:42.580 And, unfortunately, under radical Democrats, they decided that was not the job of the military.
00:05:50.040 They wanted the military to be a transgender experimental pool where I'm sorry.
00:05:57.000 Look, if you're suffering from gender dysphoria, if you're a man who thinks he's a chick,
00:06:02.500 if you're a chick who thinks she's a dude, that I'm sorry that you are struggling with those issues.
00:06:09.420 But at the end of the day, the job of the military is not to provide mental health counseling to you.
00:06:15.660 The job of the military is to defend America.
00:06:18.940 And the Supreme Court, it was 6-3.
00:06:21.620 It was not close.
00:06:22.740 That is a big victory for the military.
00:06:25.800 It's a big victory for President Trump.
00:06:27.820 It's a big victory for America.
00:06:29.860 Let's just remind people of where our military was before Donald Trump was reelected.
00:06:34.620 This was the U.S. Air Force Academy hosting a transgender Pentagon official.
00:06:41.160 So this is someone in the top level of our Pentagon for a symposium on, quote, inclusion.
00:06:47.620 They did this.
00:06:49.020 It was caught on tape.
00:06:50.600 Here is what that transgendered individual in our military, high ranking, had to say at the time.
00:06:55.640 All too often, I hear leaders talk about providing everyone with dignity and respect like it's an aspirational goal.
00:07:05.000 That's not good enough.
00:07:07.360 Dignity and respect is the bare minimum.
00:07:11.620 It's the floor of where we can be.
00:07:13.880 We must set our sights higher and focus on intentional inclusivity because there are still far too many people out there, not just LGBTQ individuals, that feel marginalized, shut out, or discriminated against.
00:07:29.480 So for all of you out there, I ask you to set out your symbols of pride, share your pronouns in your email, particularly if you're a person who doesn't think they need to.
00:07:39.800 Initiate difficult conversations about racial and gender barriers, and share a bit of your vulnerability in a way that draws others in.
00:07:51.720 You all have the power to take intentionally inclusive actions to ensure the multiple perspectives that we know make us stronger as we devise winning warfighting strategies get heard.
00:08:04.880 Let me ask you, if you're a Russian general, if you're a Chinese general, if you are a North Korean general, if you're a Venezuelan general, if you're an Iranian terrorist, and you hear that, are you scared?
00:08:18.260 No, not at all.
00:08:20.100 Like, what the hell are these people doing?
00:08:23.000 Like, proclaim your pronoun.
00:08:25.420 No, go, like, train on weapons and get really badass in great shape and get really smart and learn to use weapons to defend America.
00:08:35.560 That's the job of the military, to be so ready to kill our enemies that, frankly, they don't need to because our enemies are scared out of their mind.
00:08:44.080 And I got to say, the fact that the Democrats not only lost sight of that, but didn't care about that, they viewed the most important thing to do in the military is let's all be transgender and have sex change surgeries.
00:08:59.020 And by the way, Ben, there is a reason military enlistment plummeted because, you know what, the big old strapping dudes in Texas and Mississippi and Alabama and across the country who said, I want to defend America, they looked at that and said, okay, that ain't for me.
00:09:15.820 If that's what serving in our military is, no thank you.
00:09:20.060 And it is striking in the first three and a half months of the Trump administration, with Pete Hegseth there, Pete is a friend of yours, a friend of mine, he is someone who's focused on defending the warfighters, we're seeing military enlistment numbers skyrocketing because, once again, young men and women say, yes, damn it, I want to defend America, I just don't want to be on this social experiment for radical, woke, left-wing ideologues.
00:09:48.720 You look at December of 2024, the Army reported its most productive month in 15 years, with an average of 346 enlistments per day.
00:10:00.800 The momentum continued into January of this year with 6,531 new contracts signed, making it the highest January total since 2010.
00:10:12.940 And you look at these gains, we had real challenges there.
00:10:16.900 The Army reduced its recruitment goal from 65,000 in 2023 to 55,000 in 2024 because they knew they weren't going to hit their target because people did not want to serve under the Biden administration.
00:10:32.200 If this is, and again, I go back to the audio we just played of you a second ago, if this is the military, right, the U.S. Air Force Academy hosting a transgender Pentagon official for a symposium on inclusion, you say, nah, maybe I don't want to serve in this level.
00:10:47.400 You look at these recruitment numbers now, it goes back to what you mentioned earlier.
00:10:51.140 The Trump administration has emphasized one simple thing.
00:10:56.080 We want to have a military that's ready.
00:10:58.260 We want to have a military that's ready to take on anybody that we need to in the world.
00:11:02.200 We want them to be effective.
00:11:04.060 We want them to be proud of being, you know, Americans and having a strong military.
00:11:08.920 And none of the DEI stuff is in here for us right now.
00:11:11.820 Look, we want warriors prepared to defend America.
00:11:16.600 And by the way, there are a ton of young men and women who want to be warriors prepared to defend America.
00:11:24.220 And that's exactly, I'm a big believer, as Reagan put it, in peace through strength.
00:11:30.400 That if you're strong enough, if your military is strong enough, the bad guys don't want to screw with you.
00:11:35.960 This is one of the things the left gets wrong.
00:11:37.620 They think the way you avoid war is being weak, is engaging in appeasement, is giving your enemies whatever they want.
00:11:45.620 And it's exactly backwards.
00:11:47.540 I've joked more than once.
00:11:49.380 There's a reason nobody goes and studies and gets a degree from the Neville Chamberlain School of Foreign Affairs.
00:11:57.240 Appeasement doesn't work.
00:12:00.460 Weakness doesn't work.
00:12:02.180 And Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, and Kamala Harris and the Democrats, they are the party of appeasement and weakness.
00:12:08.620 And what they did to the military, they look at badass warriors and they're like, get out.
00:12:14.100 No, no, no.
00:12:14.420 We don't want anyone who could actually win a fight.
00:12:17.280 We want people who could emote and say, I just want you to tell me your pronouns.
00:12:23.820 I don't give a damn about your pronouns.
00:12:25.440 I want you to defend America.
00:12:26.920 And you know what?
00:12:27.800 A whole lot of young men and women, they want to be in the military that's doing that.
00:12:31.400 Which brings us centered to one of our other stories.
00:12:34.100 It's a very interesting one.
00:12:35.600 And it's one that I think a lot of people are going to be upset about.
00:12:39.200 A foreign aid official who resisted Doge, we now have learned, took secret payments after steering Africa money to a friend.
00:12:51.300 Yes, this is a story Daily Wire broke.
00:12:53.440 And actually the reporter there, Luke Rosiak, is someone, he was the one who broke the story about Loudoun County and the incredible, the shocking abuses in Loudoun County where you had a sexual predator, a boy dressed as a girl in a skirt who sexually assaulted a teenage girl and the school district covered it up.
00:13:15.120 And it was a great example where Daily Wire, which is not the New York Times, it's not the Washington Post, it's not ABC, NBC, CBS.
00:13:23.580 They drove the news.
00:13:25.100 This story, we're going to cover this story.
00:13:27.580 And it's one of the reasons, Ben, you and I do this podcast.
00:13:30.080 Because the corporate media is so corrupt, they don't cover stories that are counter to the narrative.
00:13:37.420 So this Daily Wire story is a bombshell.
00:13:41.160 And yet, I'm going to wager you, are you going to take a bet?
00:13:45.180 A hundred bucks, CNN won't cover this?
00:13:47.180 You want the other side of that?
00:13:48.120 Actually, yeah, I'll take that.
00:13:49.040 They're not going to cover this.
00:13:49.880 No way.
00:13:50.840 No, no, I'm on that side.
00:13:52.320 Oh, see, you always stack the deck against me on this.
00:13:55.800 No, of course they're not going to cover this.
00:13:57.640 No bet.
00:13:58.200 No bet at all.
00:13:58.460 Nobody will cover it.
00:13:59.380 Nobody will cover it.
00:14:00.420 Okay, so that's what this podcast is for.
00:14:03.240 So here's the Daily Wire story.
00:14:04.820 Let me just read you the beginning of it.
00:14:06.820 A foreign aid official who refused the Department of Government Efficiency access to his agency's financial records may have had a reason to keep auditors out.
00:14:16.240 He steered illicit contracts to a friend who sent him secret payments according to a law enforcement affidavit obtained by the Daily Wire.
00:14:26.340 Matthew Zahui, chief financial officer of the African Development Foundation refused to grant DOGE access to its books and told the White House that the agency would not acknowledge President Donald Trump's appointee as chairman of the board.
00:14:42.860 After a dramatic showdown in March, DOGE physically took over the building with U.S. Marshals.
00:14:48.500 But control of the agency is now subject to a lawsuit objecting to swooping in with DOGE staff, demanding access to sensitive information systems.
00:14:58.380 For years, workers at the small USAID adjacent federal agency focused on Africa have told oversight bodies about allegations of self-dealing, procurement violations, and mysterious offshore bank accounts, many of them involving Zahui.
00:15:20.820 But little was done about it, several told the Daily Wire.
00:15:24.620 One action that raised eyebrows was Zahui's insistence on directing both grants and contracts to a company in Kenya called Ganyam Limited.
00:15:36.720 According to spending records, it was awarded nearly $800,000 in contracts without competition.
00:15:44.020 For example, a one-year, $350,000 contract for, quote, travel, transport, and relocation services was executed in March of 2020, when few people were traveling or holding conferences because of coronavirus.
00:16:00.220 According to a search warrant application uncovered by the Daily Wire, USAID's inspector general established by August of 2024 that the company's owner had secretly wired money to Zahui's personal bank account at times to match up with the federal contracts.
00:16:21.500 To date, the Department of Justice has not charged either man with a crime.
00:16:25.560 I want to repeat that sentence again because it's stunning.
00:16:27.900 According to a search warrant application uncovered by the Daily Wire, USAID's inspector general established by August 2024, before the election, that the company's owner had secretly wired money to Zahui's personal bank accounts at times that matched up with the federal contract.
00:16:51.040 So this guy is sending federal taxpayer monies, hundreds of thousands of dollars to his buddy, and his buddy is wiring money back to him.
00:17:00.460 And when Doe shows up, he blocks them and says, no, you can have no access to our records.
00:17:07.440 It is on the face of it.
00:17:09.760 It certainly appears to be massive corruption, which is why the media won't cover it.
00:17:14.640 So the question everybody that's listening now, Senator, is asking themselves, like, all right, well, is there actually going to be accountability here?
00:17:22.180 Will this individual be prosecuted or is this just somebody that's just going to get fired and we move down the road or maybe doesn't even get fired, right?
00:17:28.480 They'll just maybe move them around somewhere.
00:17:30.800 When is there going to be hell to pay for this type of corruption?
00:17:34.500 Look, if this was corruption, this person should be fired, number one, but number two, prosecuted.
00:17:39.480 We don't know that for sure, but the allegations on the face of it are deeply concerning.
00:17:46.980 If you're giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to a buddy of yours, and by the way, the person who got these contracts, I'll read a little more from the article.
00:17:55.440 Ganyum Limited is owned by Maina Gakur, whom Zahui has known for decades.
00:18:03.180 Both worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs in San Diego and later moved to Fairfax, Virginia.
00:18:11.000 Gakuri had been in charge of awarding contracts to the VA and then created his own company designed to get government construction contracts by taking advantage of minority preference programs.
00:18:22.880 It was called Ganyum LLC and was based out of a house in Virginia.
00:18:27.520 Gakuri similarly created a company based in Kenya called Gakuri Limited.
00:18:34.120 The African Development Foundation is permitted by law to give grants only to African entities.
00:18:41.300 In January 2024, Inspector General Agents interviewed Zahui about the Ganyum contracts, and he acknowledged having known Gakuri personally since 1999 and having been to his apartment.
00:18:55.280 He, quote, could not explain why the contract with Ganyum was sole-sourced instead of being competitively bid, the agents wrote.
00:19:05.900 Zahui was named Chief Financial Officer of the Federal Agency after he declared bankruptcy and had his house foreclosed on.
00:19:14.480 He acknowledged to investigators that the travel contract was executed after COVID had already shut down travel.
00:19:21.780 He told them the contract was actually used for IT services, but since Ganyum had no expertise in IT, it subcontracted to a different company.
00:19:33.220 A Department of Treasury contracting official told the agents that was not allowed.
00:19:40.460 Zahui continued to give more contracts to Ganyum without competition, which he justified by saying he was, quote, lazy.
00:19:48.780 By the way, that's his defense, I'm lazy.
00:19:51.100 I'm lazy, right?
00:19:52.020 I'm just lazy.
00:19:53.300 It works.
00:19:53.800 And didn't want to find a new vendor.
00:19:55.260 Zahui stated he did not receive any direct or indirect benefits from Gakuri.
00:20:01.680 But agents found text messages showing at least eight instances of wire transfers or electronic payments from Gakuri to Zahui's Bank of America account, totaling over $10,000.
00:20:19.000 Those payments coincide with U.S. ADF's awarding of sole-sourced contracts to Ganyum.
00:20:26.740 Look, I got to say, I don't know all the evidence, but on the face of it, this stinks.
00:20:32.340 This looks like straight-out corruption.
00:20:35.100 This looks like straight-out kickbacks, hundreds of thousands of dollars.
00:20:39.260 I got to say, by the way, the guy is cheap.
00:20:41.300 You're giving hundreds of thousands of dollars in contracts and you're only getting $10,000 back.
00:20:46.260 Like, it's one thing to be corrupt, but corrupt for, like, next to nothing is astonishing.
00:20:52.580 My hope, we have a serious investigation, and if these allegations are true, this individual should be fired, should be prosecuted, and should go to jail.
00:21:01.900 So how concerned should we all be that this is, in fact, not just an outlier, but that there's all sorts of corruption like this happening all within our government for years on end?
00:21:14.520 And we're just now starting to find some of it, because if this is, like, how the government did it and no one was paying attention, I mean, part of this, like, how did this guy get away with this for so long?
00:21:25.440 Well, look, I think he got away with it because the culture was nobody's going to look.
00:21:29.720 This is expected.
00:21:32.460 It's an amazing thing.
00:21:33.840 Democrats have normalized that when they take control of government, that what they're going to do is pay off their buddies.
00:21:40.460 They're going to give millions of dollars, billions of dollars.
00:21:43.700 You look at the EPA, which had a contract with an NGO that Stacey Abrams was one of the leaders of.
00:21:52.640 Stacey Abrams was the failed Democrat candidate for governor in Georgia.
00:21:56.640 Two billion dollars.
00:21:59.040 You and I, on this podcast, we interviewed Lee Zeldin, the Permian Basin.
00:22:02.760 And he talked about how the Biden administration EPA officials, after Trump won, in the couple of months between the election and the swearing in, they wanted to get rid of as much money as possible.
00:22:15.540 And it was the Biden administration officials that referred to it as throwing gold bars out the windows.
00:22:22.620 Twenty billion dollars.
00:22:24.760 Two billion dollars to this nonprofit that Stacey Abrams was one of the leaders of.
00:22:28.960 And on the face of it, it looks like pure political grift.
00:22:32.940 What did the nonprofit, what was it charged with doing?
00:22:35.800 Spending two billion dollars buying appliances, buying stoves and refrigerators and ovens for Georgians.
00:22:42.960 Now, the last I checked, spending two billion dollars to buy votes to get people to vote for Democrats.
00:22:48.860 That ain't the job of government.
00:22:51.460 And yet there's a culture in the Democrat Party.
00:22:54.380 When they have control, they reward their friends and they punish their enemies.
00:22:58.680 By the way, to be clear, Republicans don't do that and we shouldn't do that.
00:23:03.600 And yet the Democrats, I think they believed nobody would ever look.
00:23:08.540 It would always be in darkness.
00:23:10.460 There would be no accountability.
00:23:12.240 I'm hopeful and I'm thankful that under Trump, there's finally going to be accountability.
00:23:17.340 Canadian women are looking for more.
00:23:19.440 More to themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders and the world around them.
00:23:23.620 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:23:26.940 I'm Jennifer Stewart and I'm Catherine Clark.
00:23:29.860 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey.
00:23:39.260 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:23:42.500 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:23:46.540 There may be accountability coming very, very soon when it comes to the issue of NPR.
00:23:55.280 This is something that the president's talked about a lot.
00:23:58.600 Taxpayers don't like it.
00:24:00.580 It's been pretty obvious that at NPR and PBS, there's a lot of our tax dollars are going to activists and to those in the far left that want to indoctrinate people through our tax dollars.
00:24:14.120 And now accountability may be coming to NPR.
00:24:17.320 Well, that's right.
00:24:18.260 So the president signed an executive order ending the taxpayer subsidy of NPR and PBS, both of which received millions from taxpayers.
00:24:27.500 And they're just partisan propaganda outlets.
00:24:31.040 The order reads as follows, by the authority vested in me as president, by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, it is hereby ordered, NPR and PBS, they will be shut down from cash.
00:24:44.940 And let me read some facts on NPR.
00:24:49.000 So NPR ran a story entitled, quote, Cannibalism, It's Perfectly Natural, in which the author, like, by the way, how am I saying this?
00:25:01.660 How is this real?
00:25:03.060 The author describes eating another's, human's placenta.
00:25:08.600 So let me read this excerpt.
00:25:10.260 This is from an NPR story.
00:25:11.740 In the book, you describe getting invited over for dinner by one of your sources to eat her placenta.
00:25:19.960 How was that?
00:25:20.960 Was it good?
00:25:22.560 Yeah, it was really the prep that made it taste good.
00:25:26.400 Granted, the husband was a chef, so he knew how to prepare it Osabuco style and used a really nice wine I had bought.
00:25:33.240 It smelled great.
00:25:35.000 It didn't taste bad.
00:25:36.620 I wouldn't do it again.
00:25:38.340 I don't have any regrets I did this.
00:25:40.260 So I just want to go back to the title, NPR, Cannibalism, It's Perfectly Natural.
00:25:48.180 All right, in 2021, another story.
00:25:50.820 NPR said the Declaration of Independence was a document with, quote, flaws and deeply ingrained hypocrisies.
00:25:59.020 Here's what they wrote.
00:26:00.260 The Declaration is a document with flaws and deeply ingrained hypocrisies.
00:26:03.660 It also laid the foundation for our collective aspirations, our hope for what America could be.
00:26:09.080 So in that spirit, here again is the Declaration of Independence as read by the NPR staff.
00:26:15.580 So that was 2021, where they just crapped on the Declaration of Independence and then they read it.
00:26:20.900 You know what they did in 2022?
00:26:22.800 What's that?
00:26:24.140 They said, we're not going to read the Declaration of Independence anymore.
00:26:27.000 So it was a long tradition.
00:26:28.020 And in 2022, they tweeted the following.
00:26:32.580 This July 4th, we break with tradition.
00:26:36.520 Instead of reading the Declaration of Independence, we examine what equality means and is meant in this document.
00:26:44.740 Important segment about our past and future.
00:26:47.540 So the Declaration of Independence is apparently no longer allowed on NPR because apparently hating America is NPR's mission.
00:26:58.140 Yet again, your tax dollars is hard at work here.
00:27:00.540 So there's going to be pushback, right?
00:27:02.760 There's going to be fighting here.
00:27:03.860 Ultimately, what are the chances that this sticks and that we actually say, hey, you're not getting the tax dollars for this radical agenda that you're pressing and trying to indoctrinate on so many people?
00:27:14.960 So look, I am hopeful.
00:27:17.280 I want it to happen.
00:27:18.980 I'm fighting for it to happen.
00:27:20.420 Let me give you another example.
00:27:21.760 NPR issued an editor's note warning that the Declaration of Independence is, quote,
00:27:27.980 A document that contains offensive language.
00:27:32.040 And here, this was in 2022.
00:27:33.980 Editor's note on July 8th, 2022.
00:27:36.640 The story quotes the U.S. Declaration of Independence, a document that contains offensive language about Native Americans, including a racial slur.
00:27:46.260 That was what they were saying.
00:27:48.460 The declaration they find offensive.
00:27:50.620 In the NPR also, in 2019, they apologized for calling illegal immigrants illegal.
00:28:00.220 And they posted, quote,
00:28:02.540 Sorry, that was a mistake.
00:28:04.440 NPR's policy is not to characterize people as illegal.
00:28:07.320 By the way, in federal law, an illegal alien is referred to as an illegal alien.
00:28:12.920 That is in the United States Code.
00:28:15.280 But NPR says, we slip up from time to time, but we'll keep working hard to get it right.
00:28:19.400 They also, here was another story, NPR sounded the alarm about young men who abstained from masturbating to pornography.
00:28:28.940 And here was the headline of the story in NPR in 2024.
00:28:32.180 Masturbation abstinence is popular online.
00:28:35.040 Doctors and therapists are worried.
00:28:38.460 Like, what the hell?
00:28:40.040 Here was another story.
00:28:41.500 NPR featured a Valentine's Day story around, quote,
00:28:45.380 Queer animals, in which it suggested the make-believe clownfish in Finding Nemo would have been better off as a female.
00:28:55.760 And that, quote, banana slugs are hermaphrodites.
00:29:00.160 And that, quote, some deer are non-binary.
00:29:05.020 The title of the story was Manny Loves Cayenne, plus five facts about queer animals for Valentine's Day.
00:29:11.220 Okay, these people are freaks.
00:29:13.780 Queer animals for Valentine's Day.
00:29:16.040 This is what they're writing.
00:29:17.180 By the way, a year ago, this was 2024 Valentine's Day.
00:29:20.620 They also devoted a panel to what it means to be woke and to, quote, white privilege.
00:29:26.540 And the title was Stay Woke.
00:29:29.500 This is, this is, all right, I'll give you another story.
00:29:32.540 They routinely promote chemical and surgical mutilation of children, calling it, quote, gender-affirming care, without mentioning the irreversible damage caused by these procedures.
00:29:44.420 And finally, in 2021, a PBS program aired a, quote, children's program.
00:29:49.980 So this is what they're talking about to kids.
00:29:51.820 Featuring a drag queen named Little Miss Hot Mess.
00:29:56.420 And here's drag queen Little Miss Hot Mess sings, the hips on the drag queen go swish, swish, swish, to a virtual child audience on an episode of Let's Learn.
00:30:10.020 This is who they are.
00:30:12.400 By the way, okay, one more that I, there are two more.
00:30:16.100 There's so many, they keep piling up.
00:30:17.760 But NPR educated the nation on, quote, the whole community of genderqueer dinosaur enthusiasts and transceratops.
00:30:30.840 So here's a quote from the story.
00:30:32.860 Many people who are queer, whether they are trans or some other form of genderqueer, whatever it is, we love dinosaurs.
00:30:40.300 Along with being a dinosaur expert, Riley is herself transgender.
00:30:44.000 According to Riley, there is a whole community of genderqueer dinosaur enthusiasts online.
00:30:49.920 We had no idea, so we checked it out.
00:30:52.460 Sure enough, they're there.
00:30:54.460 We found dozens of paleo artists online that identify as queer.
00:31:00.220 Type dinosaur into the LGBT subreddit.
00:31:03.940 Hundreds of results with pride dinos, rainbow dinos, dino moms, dino dads, and lots of puns.
00:31:10.920 Like Ali Soros.
00:31:13.740 And then, all right, here are the last couple.
00:31:16.880 Then PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor characterized President Trump's patriotic 2020 Mount Rushmore speech
00:31:26.080 as a love letter to, quote, white resentment that promoted the myth of America.
00:31:33.660 And then, all right, NPR suggested that, all right, here's something nutty.
00:31:38.820 Doorway sizes are based on, quote, latent fat phobia.
00:31:44.860 They also said they assigned reporters to investigate how the thumbs up emoji is racist.
00:31:52.300 They have a story.
00:31:53.800 Which skin color emoji should you use?
00:31:56.480 The answer can be more complex than you think.
00:31:59.840 These people are idiots.
00:32:02.020 They are radicals.
00:32:03.420 They are zealots.
00:32:04.440 Now, by the way, they're entitled to be idiots and radicals and zealots.
00:32:07.300 But, Ben, why should you pay for that?
00:32:09.260 Why should I?
00:32:10.160 Yeah, that's exactly the point that the president's making as well.
00:32:13.040 And while there's a good chance, we may actually get a big victory on this one.
