Verdict with Ted Cruz - White House LIED About Hunter's ＂Art＂, plus China had Genetic Map of Covid BEFORE the Pandemic

00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.

00:00:02.560 Guaranteed human.

00:00:05.220 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.

00:00:09.080 Senator, we have got China, China, and Hunter Biden in China all in one podcast today.

00:00:14.980 Let's start first with Hunter Biden and the art sales.

00:00:19.880 We were told that this was going to be the most transparent government in history from the Biden team.

00:00:26.600 We were also told that they were going to not know who the buyers of the art were,

00:00:30.980 and that was part of the separation between the two worlds so that no one could buy influence.

00:00:36.760 The liberal hardcore left Washington Post is now reporting that Hunter Biden's paintings have sold for a total of at least 1.5 million,

00:00:46.320 and we're also being told that he knows the mass majority of those people that were purchasing art from him,

00:00:53.560 including his sugar daddy, who's also bought some of this art, the same guy that has his 10% stake in a Chinese energy company.

00:01:01.080 It's a lot to unpack. Give me your overthoughts on this.

00:01:04.720 Well, look, they were right that they said it would be the most transparent in history,

00:01:08.900 and it's the most transparent lie. It's the most transparent fraud.

00:01:13.760 It's the most transparent money laundering scheme in history.

00:01:16.980 So they were right. They just omitted a few words.

00:01:20.280 Look, this is the Washington Post reporting. You know it's bad when the Post is forced to report.

00:01:25.700 The Washington Post tells us that in total there have been 10 buyers of the art,

00:01:30.400 and collectively they have paid $1.5 million.

00:01:35.060 Only three of the buyers have been identified, so there's seven mystery buyers.

00:01:38.860 We don't know who they are.

00:01:40.740 But of the three buyers that have been identified, the largest one goes to Kevin Morris.

00:01:46.480 Kevin Morris is the lawyer out in California who, as you said, is basically Hunter's sugar daddy.

00:01:52.680 Kevin Morris purchased 11 paintings for a total of $875,000.

00:02:02.280 11 paintings. $875,000.

00:02:06.120 Now, mind you, this is the same Kevin Morris who purchased a 10% stake in the Chinese firm Hunter was working with.

00:02:14.220 This is the same Kevin Morris who has allegedly lent, and remember we did, when we did the multi-episode interview with James Comer,

00:02:24.280 he explained how loans were the newest form of money laundering that they were trying to get around the tax laws

00:02:29.880 and just conveniently have loans that are never repaid.

00:02:32.900 Well, this Kevin Morris has, quote, loaned Hunter Biden roughly $5 million.

00:02:38.660 In fact, it was Kevin Morris' money that paid off what Hunter Biden owed to the IRS.

00:02:43.760 So this Kevin Morris is writing a lot of checks to Hunter.

00:02:48.400 But it's not just Kevin Morris.

00:02:49.740 We also know of another person, a Democratic donor, Elizabeth Naftali, who purchased two pieces of art,

00:02:59.600 one for $52,000 and another for $42,000.

00:03:04.340 So she's up at $94,000 that has gone to Hunter.

00:03:07.260 And it's worth noting that President Biden appointed her in 2022 to the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad.

00:03:18.240 This is naked.

00:03:19.620 This is brazen.

00:03:20.980 This is obvious.

00:03:21.740 It's not only obvious, but there have been major warnings from our government about using art for money laundering purposes.

00:03:31.040 And this was a clear decision by the Biden team or Hunter Biden directly to figure out ways to still make money

00:03:39.860 while there was so much scrutiny on his other business dealings.

00:03:42.660 We were also told that he had divested all of his investments in China.

00:03:45.780 That wasn't true.

00:03:46.660 In fact, we played a montage on the show, Senator, not that long ago of all the times that Joe Biden lied to the American people,

00:03:52.400 saying they'd never made a dollar a dime from China.

00:03:55.040 That was also a lie here.

00:03:57.420 And so now it seems that not only did they know that money laundering could come through art sales,

00:04:03.100 but they definitely needed to know who was buying their art so they knew who to take care of.

00:04:08.080 One of those examples.

00:04:09.300 And this came out when we had the first hostages that were released in Gaza.

00:04:14.280 The first American release had direct ties to Hunter Biden and the president of the United States of America,

00:04:20.520 had received an appointment from the president.

00:04:23.200 And not only that, had also bought artwork from Hunter Biden.

00:04:27.640 Well, and it's worth noting that this is exactly the opposite of what the Biden White House told the American people.

00:04:35.740 So, for example, in 2021, here's what CNN reported, quote, two sources familiar with the sales arrangement told CNN that the purchaser of the artwork will be kept anonymous

00:04:47.460 and neither Hunter Biden nor the public will have knowledge of who bids on or purchase the work.

00:04:54.060 If there is any unusual behavior, such as the offer price being too high or the collector doesn't appear interested in the work,

00:05:04.200 the gallery is expected to turn down the offer, the sources said.

00:05:09.380 Now, that was just a brazen lie.

00:05:11.220 Even the Biden White House, I assume, is not going to maintain that Hunter didn't know about his buddy Kevin buying 11 paintings.

00:05:20.600 I don't know if he's setting it up as like his wallpaper is nothing but Hunter Biden paintings and spending $875,000.

00:05:29.080 They claimed it was anonymous.

00:05:30.880 It's obviously not anonymous.

00:05:32.440 And look, if these were ordinary art sales, why does it just happen to be that they are Democrat funders and Democrat funders who are in turn

00:05:42.120 getting rewarded with appointments from the president of the United States?

00:05:46.200 I also want to talk about another aspect of Kevin Morris.

00:05:49.460 Kevin Morris has obviously opened up his bank account to Hunter Biden.

00:05:54.580 He claims it's a loan.

00:05:55.860 At some point, you're supposed to pay back a loan unless it's student loans.

00:05:59.640 And apparently, Joe Biden and the Biden team doesn't think you ever have to actually pay those back.

00:06:04.620 But Kevin Morris has now confirmed that he owns, keyword owns, Hunter Biden's 10% stake in a Chinese state-backed investment fund.

00:06:16.380 This was verified by House investigators last week that he purchased Hunter's 10% stake in the Chinese state-backed investment fund, BHR Partners.

00:06:25.840 Confirming this now for the first time.

00:06:29.800 And then Morris's ownership of the stake is raising major questions about his intent for the acquisition.

00:06:35.320 And also, the money that he's giving to Hunter Biden, is it really a loan or is he just funneling those profits or part of that 10% of a payoff here for that stake in that Chinese company?

00:06:48.000 This stinks to high heaven.

00:06:49.500 And by the way, Kevin Morris has not disclosed, Hunter Biden has not disclosed, how much Kevin Morris paid Hunter Biden for 10% in the Chinese state-backed investment fund.

00:07:01.840 Now, the investment fund is called BHR Partners.

00:07:06.880 And we now know that Morris purchased Hunter's stake.

00:07:10.200 Hunter had 10% because Hunter needed to get rid of it once Joe Biden became president.

00:07:17.860 BHR Partners is an entity that is controlled by the Bank of China.

00:07:23.600 And it has about $3 billion currently invested around the world.

00:07:28.380 That's according to BHR Partners' own website.

00:07:32.420 Now, Morris has claimed that he purchased the company because it was, quote, a good business investment.

00:07:39.680 But, of course, we don't know how much he paid.

00:07:41.580 And Morris performed the due diligence on the entity holding the 10% stake in BHR Partners.

00:07:50.260 That entity is named Scanitalese, LLC.

00:07:55.300 I don't know what Scanitalese means, but that apparently is what the name of it was.

00:07:59.340 And he said he knew the price that Hunter paid initially for the stake.

00:08:05.480 And he said, quote, I saw and I still see upside.

00:08:09.540 Well, you know what?

00:08:10.060 It can be very lucrative, funneling millions of dollars to the Biden family.

00:08:15.140 There's an entire enterprise they have.

00:08:17.640 And how is it possible that no one has disclosed how much he paid?

00:08:23.860 The Bank of China, which is a state-owned bank, controls BHR Partners.

00:08:28.960 The fund claims that it maintains 22 billion Chinese yuan in various portfolio companies, which is more than $3 billion.

00:08:38.620 It reports investments in companies like Didi Chuxing, a Chinese technology group, Cattle, a lithium-ion manufacturer, Megvi, a deep learning software developer, and Insilico Medicine, a biotechnology company.

00:08:56.340 This stinks to high heaven.

00:08:58.740 And you have to ask all of the so-called reporters who reported on the lies from the White House.

00:09:07.000 Hunter won't know who's buying the art.

00:09:08.860 Hunter won't know who's funneling in the cash.

00:09:10.800 Hunter, this will be entirely anonymous.

00:09:13.460 How many of those reporters are apologizing?

00:09:15.900 How many of those reporters are going back and correcting their stories?

00:09:18.700 How many of those reporters are standing up at the White House press conference and saying, why did you lie to us?

00:09:23.780 Why did you entice us into lying to the American people?

00:09:29.640 And I think very few of the reporters are doing so because they knew they were lying.

00:09:33.260 When they said it, nobody with their head not inserted somewhere where it's really dark bought it for a moment.

00:09:41.020 And it's because this was obviously going to be the outcome.

00:09:45.240 For 10 years, Patriot Mobile has been America's only Christian conservative wireless provider.

00:09:50.200 And let me just tell you, in 2024, if you're like me, you had a New Year's resolution.

00:09:55.620 Mine was, I am going to stop giving my money to companies that literally hate my values and hate what I stand for.

00:10:01.300 That is why, when I look at my cell phone now in the top left, it says Patriot.

00:10:05.120 Yes, Patriot Mobile is an incredible company that gives you nationwide, dependable coverage.

00:10:12.740 Giving you the same ability to access all three major networks that your phone is using right now.

00:10:18.100 Which means you get the same coverage that you're accustomed to, but most importantly, without funding the left.

00:10:23.580 You may not realize that Big Mobile gives big donations to causes and organizations that go completely against your conservative values.

00:10:31.640 We're talking about giving big donations to Democratic causes, candidates, and Planned Parenthood.

00:10:37.400 Well, if you're tired of giving your money to people that hate your values, switch with me to Patriot Mobile.

00:10:43.000 You're not only sending a message that you support free speech, but when you pay your bill every month, 5% of that bill goes back to support conservative causes.

00:10:51.740 Supporting free speech, supporting religious freedom, supporting the sanctity of life, supporting your Second Amendment rights, as well as our military, our veterans, and our first responders.

00:11:02.740 How easy is it to switch?

00:11:33.700 Or 972-PATRIOT.

00:11:36.540 Senator, one other question I want to ask you about Kevin Morris here and what we found out.

00:11:42.200 His ownership obviously raises serious questions about his intent for this acquisition.

00:11:47.660 Did he have the Bidens in a bad situation to be able to grab this 10% stake because clearly it's worth a lot of money.

00:11:54.060 And then when he says, I'm letting people borrow money from me, but no one's paying it back yet,

00:12:00.340 that also could turn into a bigger part of this investigation on the House side, correct?

00:12:04.880 It could.

00:12:07.800 I mean, we know that Hunter in 2019 paid, or that Morris in 2019 paid Hunter's IRS debts,

00:12:16.480 debts, and reportedly lent him $4.9 million for housing, for car payments, for legal fees.

00:12:26.300 And repayment of the debt, you know when it's due?

00:12:28.860 After the 2024 election.

00:12:31.680 Conveniently, oh, just never mind, not until after election day, and then miraculously, you know, you may have just lost the bill.

00:12:38.460 Well, maybe I'll just like, you know, paint something on a postcard and give it to you, and maybe that'll pay off the debt.

00:12:43.320 Canadian women are looking for more, more out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world around them. 0.98

00:13:09.260 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.

00:13:15.420 Senator, I also want to move to this other important story that also deals with China, and that is a Chinese lab mapped the deadly coronavirus two weeks before Beijing told the world new documents are showing.

00:13:29.360 From the Wall Street Journal, they say Chinese researchers isolated and mapped the virus that caused COVID-19 in late December 2019.

00:13:39.260 That's at least two weeks before Beijing revealed details of the deadly virus to the world.

00:13:44.240 What does it mean?

00:13:44.700 It means they knew about it.

00:13:46.160 Congressional investigators have said, so this raises serious questions about what China knew in the pandemic's crucial early days.

00:13:54.900 These documents that were obtained from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services by a House committee and reviewed by the Wall Street Journal showed that a Chinese researcher in Beijing also uploaded a nearly complete sequence of the virus's structure, most importantly, to a U.S. government-run database on December the 28th of 2019.

00:14:19.100 Wow.

00:14:21.100 Well, and at that time, on December 28th, 2019, Chinese officials were publicly describing the disease outbreak in Wuhan as a viral pneumonia, quote, of unknown cause.

00:14:36.260 And so they're pretending they don't know what this is, and yet they had an almost complete genetic map of it before it had spread out of Wuhan, before it had spread across the world, before it had become a global pandemic.

00:14:49.500 And, look, this underscores the point that we have discussed at length.

00:14:56.740 I think the evidence is overwhelming, and it has just become even more overwhelming, that this virus escaped from a Chinese government lab in Wuhan, China.

00:15:06.520 I think the evidence is significant.

00:15:11.420 It's not necessarily irrefutable, but it is significant.

00:15:14.940 It is more likely than not that this virus was created in that Chinese government lab, that they took naturally occurring viruses and they altered them, using gain-of-function research to make them more transmissible, to make them more deadly for humans, and that the virus they created in the lab is the one that escaped. 0.95

00:15:34.560 That would certainly explain why they had a genetic map to it, because they had designed it, and designed it to be deadly.

00:15:42.400 It is worth remembering that when the COVID pandemic began, the federal government, with Dr. Fauci at the point, insisted that it was a wild conspiracy theory to say that COVID came from a Chinese government lab.

00:16:00.400 And the corporate media, like docile, braying sheep, echoed the same thing.

00:16:07.060 We know that Dr. Fauci directly communicated with Mark Zuckerberg and asked Mark Zuckerberg to have Facebook suppress anyone making the argument that COVID came from a Chinese government lab.

00:16:21.100 Now, the verdict podcast, we did multiple podcasts in March and April of 2020, right when this virus was spreading, laying out the evidence then that COVID came from a Chinese government lab.

00:16:39.360 So, verdict was one of the very few places you could get that information.

00:16:43.960 You couldn't get it on most of social media. 0.91

00:16:47.680 The corporate media would not air it, and in fact, they would denounce you as a racist, tinfoil hat-wearing lunatic if you said it.

00:16:57.260 It just happened to be true and factual, but never let that get in the way of today's so-called journalists.

00:17:04.600 This also, I think, is very revealing about maybe why Fauci was just so arrogant early on and so quick to say that this was not gain-of-function research.

00:17:14.540 It may have actually been as simplistic of he was covering his own ass, to be honest, because he understood just how bad this was going to make him look if it came out that the United States was sending money to Wuhan for gain-of-function research.

00:17:29.180 And sure enough, it gets out, and then it kills off many people in the world, and yet he went on Face the Nation. 0.95

00:17:35.980 I have to remind people of this.

00:17:37.320 This was back in 11-28 of 2021.

00:17:40.700 Fauci said this.

00:17:42.120 But if they get up and really aim their bullets at Tony Fauci, well, people could recognize there's a person there, so it's easy to criticize.

00:17:50.220 But they're really criticizing science, because I represent science.

00:17:55.140 That's dangerous.

00:17:57.160 I'm science.

00:17:58.000 I am the science, right?

00:17:59.860 I mean, that was, hey, Fauci is God.

00:18:03.240 You can't question me.

00:18:05.060 I am the science.

00:18:06.740 You don't know what you're talking about.

00:18:08.320 And it seems like now this was just a full-blown two-year cover-up for him while he had the power to do it.

00:18:15.080 Yes.

00:18:16.320 As you know, there is an entire chapter in my latest book, Unwoke, How to Defeat Cultural Marxism in America.

00:18:26.680 An entire chapter that is dedicated to science.

00:18:32.000 And actually, the chapter is called The Science.

00:18:34.420 And so that quote where Fauci says, I am science.

00:18:40.140 It is reminiscent of Louis XIV who said, let's say, I am the state.

00:18:47.600 Fauci says, I am the science.

00:18:50.260 And there is an arrogance to it.

00:18:52.080 There is a politicization to it.

00:18:53.820 And there is a dishonesty to it.

00:18:55.780 And by the way, I walk through these facts in great detail in the book Unwoke.

00:19:00.760 So if you haven't gone and bought Unwoke, you ought to go online and buy it because it goes into great detail about this deception.

00:19:08.260 And look, based on the latest news we know, we know that now the Chinese researcher who submitted the virus sequence is a researcher named Dr. Lily Wren of the Beijing-based Institute of Pathogen Biology.

00:19:27.920 Now, Dr. Wren did not respond to an email seeking comment.

00:19:31.740 The Institute is part of the state-affiliated Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.

00:19:38.880 Now, here's what the Chinese embassy is saying now.

00:19:41.380 Quote, China has kept refining our COVID response based on science to make it more targeted.

00:19:46.980 The Chinese spokesperson continued, quote, China's COVID response policies are science-based, effective, and consistent with China's national realities.

00:19:55.220 They can stand the test of history.

00:19:58.060 But here is the timing.

00:19:59.460 Dr. Wren submitted the virus to the U.S. database on December 28, 2019, to a genetic database that is called GenBank, and it is run by the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

00:20:12.660 The first known publication of the sequence of the COVID virus that had been identified, and it's called SARS-CoV-2, came on January 11, 2020, so roughly two weeks later.

00:20:26.600 And that was after Chinese authorities shared that information with the World Health Organization.

00:20:33.540 Now, interestingly enough, the sequence that Wren provided in December of 2019 was never published,

00:20:40.500 and was deleted from the database on January 16, 2020, after the NIH asked her for more technical details, and she didn't respond.

00:20:52.100 And according to NIH protocols, if you don't respond, they delete it.

00:20:56.940 So she filed the sequence two weeks earlier than the world knew about it, and the only explanation, and by the way, the sequence published on January 12, 2020, was nearly identical, nearly identical to the sequence that was submitted by Lily Rand.

00:21:17.040 What does this mean? It means China knew what COVID was, it knew before the world did, it kept it a secret, and the reason is obvious, which is that China had COVID before the world did, in a Chinese lab, and then it escaped and poisoned the world. 0.87

00:21:34.900 Which brings me to my next question, probably the most important one.

00:21:39.360 If everything that we're now finding out is accurate, there's no reason to believe that it's not, and the wheels are falling off what I would refer to now as a clear cover-up,

00:21:47.840 did Fauci, in fact, join the Chinese government in helping cover it up with his testimony and with him not being honest with the American people?

00:21:55.300 Of course he did.

00:21:57.200 Fauci actively, aggressively tried to suppress scientific inquiry, scientific discussion, public discussion, social media discussion.

00:22:06.840 Fauci actively wanted to censor anyone pointing out that this came from a Chinese government lab.

00:22:12.080 Now, the most likely reason is that Fauci also, I believe, bears real responsibility for helping fund the research that created COVID. 0.90

00:22:20.500 I think he was covering his own ass, not wanting people to know of his responsibility for it. 0.85

00:22:27.420 And so, look, when people are guilty, they engage in cover-ups. 0.98

00:22:31.740 It's why the White House covers up Hunter Biden's art sales.

00:22:35.200 It's the same reason Fauci covers up the Chinese government lab's complicity, is because he was complicit as well,

00:22:43.400 and that's why he was trying to silence and stifle inquiry.

00:22:47.600 And remember, this is a man who says, I am science.

00:22:52.040 And so you cannot question the man behind the curtain.

00:22:55.520 Lastly, will there be any accountability for Fauci?

00:22:58.000 Obviously not with this administration, but is there a way to hold him accountable for this in the future?

00:23:04.980 If Republicans gain control of the Senate, they have the House in this next election that comes up,

00:23:10.020 or is it just, yeah, he lied, he got away with it, he lied under oath, so be it, move on?

00:23:14.800 Look, I hope that Fauci is held accountable.

00:23:19.280 I believe the Department of Justice should investigate him and very possibly indict and prosecute him for lying under oath to Congress.

00:23:27.660 Listen, if you look at these new documents, the Wall Street Journal reports that Dr. Wren is listed in contract documents

00:23:36.660 as being a collaborator on a U.S.-funded project to show how coronaviruses can be transferred from animals to humans.

00:23:48.440 The work, which included collecting bat samples in China, was overseen by the nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance.

00:23:57.860 And those facts, we pointed out on this podcast in March of 2020, right at the outset of the pandemic,

00:24:09.340 that the bats that were supposedly the source of this virus, the closest they occurred in nature, was 900 miles away from Wuhan.

00:24:18.940 But where you could find the bat viruses was in the Wuhan Institute for Virology, which was just nine miles away from the wet market where the outbreak first occurred.

00:24:33.120 And as I pointed out in my book on Woke, the odds of that randomly happening, of an outbreak randomly happening within nine miles from a lab that was studying the same virus,

00:24:47.260 just on a pure mathematical level, is less than one in 10,000.

00:24:52.120 It's why it was obvious on the front end.

00:24:54.740 But we had vested interests in our government, most specifically Dr. Anthony Fauci, that desperately did not want the world to know the truth.

00:25:04.020 It's a new year, 2024, and a lot of you are trying to get your finances in order.

00:25:08.520 There is some great news for homeowners.

00:25:11.040 Interest rates have dropped and are now in the fives, a lot lower than they were last year.

00:25:15.800 If you have been buried in high interest credit card debt, now's the time to break free.

00:25:20.260 American Financing can help you access the cash in your home to pay off your high interest debt.

00:25:27.880 Last year, their salary-based mortgage consultants helped customers save an average of $854 a month.

00:25:35.640 That's like giving yourself a $10,000 raise.

00:25:38.420 What a way to start the new year.

00:25:39.960 And if you start today, you may be able to delay two mortgage payments.

00:25:43.660 Call American Financing today, 888-675-4090.

00:25:50.880 That's 888-675-4090.

00:26:16.600 Senator, I also want to move to another story that deals with, oddly enough, China yet again and the Biden family.

00:26:24.300 But this is an issue at the University of Penn.

00:26:27.840 And the University of Penn, to remind people, is what hosts the Biden think tank.

00:26:31.900 And we are seeing now, through the Biden-Penn Center, Chinese donations have skyrocketed, including money directly from the CCP-linked sources.

00:26:43.620 This coming from Fox News.

00:26:45.580 It says, the University of Pennsylvania, home of President Biden's think tank, recently tripled its donations originating from China.

00:26:54.360 Records reviewed by Fox News Digital Show.

00:26:57.180 The Washington, D.C. office of Biden's think tank, the Penn-Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement,

00:27:04.120 previously found itself under a microscope after confidential documents, top-secret documents, were found at the center.

00:27:11.380 The discovery led to questions regarding Chinese donations to the University of Pennsylvania, which harbors that think tank.

00:27:18.680 And that's just the beginning of this story.

00:27:22.080 Well, it is.

00:27:23.380 And the numbers are stunning.

00:27:24.720 So, from 2021 to 2022, Penn received $8.6 million from Communist China.

00:27:34.320 $8.6 million in one year.

00:27:36.180 Now, that number is staggering.

00:27:38.060 But actually, the next year, they tripled their haul.

00:27:42.180 So, between mid-2022 and mid-2023, Penn pulled in $25 million from entities and individuals in China.

00:27:51.720 So, they tripled the amount.

00:27:53.540 And overall, Penn has amassed nearly $130 million in donations from China between mid-2018 and mid-2023,

00:28:07.320 which is a massive, massive increase.

00:28:09.820 Why is China investing so heavily in Penn?

00:28:12.260 And Penn, just quinky-dinky, happens to be the place that was paying Joe Biden, before he was president, nearly a million dollars a year for a no-show job, where he occasionally showed up to teach a class, and other than that, jetted around the world, living like the idle rich.

00:28:30.940 Coincidentally, is a university where we now know that Joe Biden illegally had classified documents stored.

00:28:40.280 And all of this is intertwined.

00:28:44.880 We know that Hunter Biden and the Biden family made millions of dollars from Communist China, that Hunter Biden shook down the Chinese communists for personal enrichment. 0.69

00:28:54.800 And the obvious inference is, it wasn't just enrichment of their family.

00:28:59.080 It was also enrichment of Penn, which in turn was enriching the Biden family.

00:29:04.080 And the part that also is so frustrating is, there's really no one that's covering this story.

00:29:11.640 Stuart Varney on Fox Business, he did cover it, and this is what it sounded like, but the rest of the media is silent on this.

00:29:18.200 Now, there's the University of Pennsylvania seeing a big surge in Chinese donations.

00:29:23.700 Lauren, how much are we talking about, and do we know why we got this big surge?

00:29:28.240 How much?

00:29:28.720 $25 million in one year between mid-2022 and the middle of last year.

00:29:33.200 That was triple the year before.

00:29:36.360 Why?

00:29:37.100 Good question.

00:29:38.060 One donor is actually a political consultant for the CCP.

00:29:42.020 Another, a private equity founder in China with ties to President Xi.

00:29:46.440 President Biden was a professor at Penn after he was vice president.

00:29:51.780 The school paid him $776,000.

00:29:54.740 That is way more than a professor makes.

00:29:57.380 It hosts his think tank.

00:29:59.220 Okay.

00:29:59.780 You know where we're going here, don't you?

00:30:01.380 Yeah.

00:30:01.720 I mean, the Biden family has taken a great deal of money from China.

00:30:06.220 Yeah.

00:30:06.840 Right?

00:30:07.340 Yeah.

00:30:07.920 And now the Chinese are giving money to the school where his think tank is and where his personal classified documents were found.

00:30:14.960 Remember in the office there?

00:30:16.440 Yeah.

00:30:17.020 One of the things in that reporting there that I think we should talk about is you're getting a donation from someone that advises the Chinese Communist Party.

00:30:25.820 Senator, you deal with a lot of donations when you're running for office.

00:30:29.220 If somebody gives you a massive donation and they're advising the Chinese Communist Party, I'm assuming you're not going to accept that.

00:30:35.660 Of course not.

00:30:35.780 Or you're going to give it back.

00:30:37.460 Of course.

00:30:37.780 This is not hard.

00:30:38.940 And there's nobody asking the White House, hey, are you guys going to give this money back to communists that are trying to clearly buy influence?

00:30:46.320 Well, they're clearly trying to buy influence at Penn and nobody gives that kind of money for nothing.

00:30:53.160 They don't give that kind of money without expecting to get a benefit in return.

00:30:56.840 And the inner connection of the Bidens.

00:31:00.120 Look, the Bidens.

00:31:01.600 All of the evidence indicates that the Bidens made a decision decades ago that they were going to get rich

00:31:08.720 by shaking down the enemies of America and shaking them down, demanding millions of dollars in exchange either for favors from Joe Biden or millions of dollars in order not to be targeted for retribution by Joe Biden.

00:31:28.280 Now, if that is correct, that is called bribery and it is a felony.

00:31:33.560 It is also explicitly enumerated in the Constitution as grounds for impeachment.

00:31:37.800 And the entire corporate media could not care one iota.

00:31:42.980 The New York Times cannot be bothered to worry if the president of the United States has been bribed by communist China.

00:31:51.660 That is not news in their politicized world.

00:31:54.580 CNN can't be bothered to worry about it.

00:31:56.720 MSNBC, not news there.

00:31:58.940 ABC, NBC, CBS.

00:32:00.600 Why is it that you had to play Fox Business?

00:32:02.640 Because none of the corporate media is willing even to cover it.

00:32:08.400 Facts be damned.

00:32:10.060 They have a political mission to uphold.

00:32:12.160 Will there be any of this that you think will be used to actually expose the Biden family in this campaign cycle?

00:32:19.700 I mean, when you're talking about this much money, it's not a little bit of money.

00:32:23.380 It's a hell of a lot of money.

00:32:25.240 And the other part here is they mentioned the numbers tripled right when we got closer to this election when he announced he was running for reelections.

00:32:34.140 Like, oh, wait, he's still in the game.

00:32:35.360 OK, we better send money.

00:32:37.540 Look, I think there needs to be a serious investigation.

00:32:40.160 There needs to be enhanced federal scrutiny of universities that are on the take from communist China.

00:32:46.660 One of the very first pieces of legislation that I ever authored and passed when I was a brand new baby senator was legislation focusing on exactly this issue.

00:32:56.220 And in particular, what are called Confucius Institutes.

00:32:59.180 So Confucius Institutes have been started at U.S. universities all across the country, and they're funded by communist China. 0.65

00:33:06.480 They're controlled by communist China and China goes to the schools and say, hey, we'll start this institute and your students can learn Chinese and they'll get educated on China.

00:33:16.660 And China uses them, number one, for espionage and number two, for propaganda to push the messages that they want U.S. college students to hear from communist China. 0.58

00:33:26.340 And so when I was newly elected to the Senate, I introduced legislation that prohibited federal Department of Defense dollars from going to a university that has a Confucius Institute, that if you're going to take the Chinese money, you don't get DOD money.

00:33:42.860 And I was on the Senate Armed Services Committee at the time.

00:33:45.440 I introduced it.

00:33:46.160 I ended up getting bipartisan support for it, and it was adopted with both Democrats and Republicans supporting it.

00:33:51.700 It passed through the Harry Reid Senate, so we had a Democrat majority Senate, and ultimately Barack Obama signed it in the law, and my legislation resulted in dozens of Confucius Institutes shutting down because universities made the very reasonable decision that they wanted DOD dollars more than the Chinese money for Confucius Institutes.

00:34:12.480 We need to do more on this.

00:34:13.940 We need to cut off this Chinese money that is going to universities across the board. 1.00

00:34:18.180 But with Penn, there appears to be more than simple influence peddling.

00:34:24.400 China's doing this in a lot of universities, and it's a broad problem.

00:34:27.680 But with Penn, the volume is so great that on the face of it, it seems to be deeply intertwined with Joe Biden and the fact that Penn gave a home for him.

00:34:40.920 And so giving money to Penn was a way to give money directly to Joe Biden.

00:34:45.640 Inflation is heavily eroding your purchasing power, putting your savings, your retirement accounts, and your future legacy at risk.

00:34:54.340 With more taxes, the continuing threat of war, a national debt exceeding $34 trillion, as well as the push for central bank digital currencies.

00:35:05.260 Our financial freedom is at stake.

00:35:07.160 If you have $50,000 or more in retirement savings, you may be at risk.

00:35:12.120 In times of economic uncertainty, securing your family's financial future is essential.

00:36:10.020 Do you believe that Joe Biden will dodge the debates against Donald Trump because now he's going to have to answer these questions on stage?

00:36:19.160 I mean, he's much more vulnerable now than he was when they ran against each other last time.

00:36:24.520 Because last time he could just say, hey, it's all a lie.

00:36:27.620 The laptop's a lie.

00:36:28.840 I got 50 plus people.

00:36:30.220 They're saying it's a lie.

00:36:31.720 None of this is real.

00:36:32.960 Now you can't do that this time.

00:36:35.580 Yeah, I actually don't.

00:36:36.880 I think Biden, if he is the nominee, will debate.

00:36:40.900 I think we'll have a couple of debates.

00:36:42.920 I think their strategy will be to hide Joe Biden in the basement for the entirety of the campaign.

00:36:47.500 And so the debates may be about the only time you see Biden during the entire campaign.

00:36:53.000 And I think for the debates, they'll pump him full of a bunch of drugs and try to make him alert for an hour or for 90 minutes.

00:36:59.240 And that'll be it.

00:37:00.300 And look, will they debate internally?

00:37:03.300 Will they discuss internally?

00:37:04.600 Does Joe Biden skip the debate?

00:37:06.000 Sure.

00:37:06.300 They would love to.

00:37:07.200 And by the way, we saw precedent last cycle.

00:37:09.920 The governor of Pennsylvania refused to debate a Democrat.

00:37:12.500 The governor of Arizona refused to debate a Democrat.

00:37:16.500 It's a very dangerous precedent.

00:37:19.240 I think the Democrats will conclude that if Biden ducks the debate, the American people will assume he's too feeble and mentally diminished to be able to debate.

00:37:28.940 And so I think that will scare them enough that they will end up producing Biden for a couple of debates pumped full of drugs for a little while.

00:37:39.620 It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

00:37:41.560 We'll keep covering it.
