Marie, our 17-year-old sister, was a very bright, lovable, and vibrant teenager who had just graduated from high school in 1976. She had secured a summer job and looked forward to a career in law enforcement. But her dreams and potential were stolen from her. In early August, while driving back to the family home in Beaumont, she was stopped. Her car was found in the middle of a country road. The motor was still running, the lights were on, and the driver's door was open. She was taken so suddenly and in such a violent manner. 45 years have gone by and her murder remains an unsolved cold case.
