A man in Afghanistan is so poor, he can t pay his bills, can't pay his rent, can t get his food, it's just awful. The conditions are terrible. It shows it literally with a little tear in his eye because you know what he has to do? He's selling his daughter.

00:00:00.000 the BBC in England, you know, which is the inspiration for the CBC. And it's their tax
00:00:07.780 funded, of course, institution. And they put out a piece, this weepy piece today about a man in
00:00:16.360 Afghanistan who's so poor, this poor man, he can't pay his bills, can't pay his rent, can't get his
00:00:22.780 food. It's just awful. The conditions are terrible. It showed it literally with a little tear in his 1.00
00:00:27.220 because you know what he has to do? He's selling his daughter. He literally is selling a little
00:00:34.360 girl. And the BBC is pointing it out as if this is some sob story about a man so badly cornered
00:00:42.360 that he's going to sell his little girls. And it says, in fact, it's happening all over Afghanistan
00:00:47.100 that these men are selling their daughters. Where do you start with this? No other culture
00:00:56.340 on earth sells their daughters. We've seen famine. We've seen, uh, issues going on all around the
00:01:05.660 world, countries that have had very, very hard times and people who've had to do some terrible
00:01:09.940 things to try and pay the bills, you know, but the, the Irish potato famine, did they sell their
00:01:16.720 daughters into slavery, sex slavery? There's one of the questions that was put out to by somebody
00:01:22.260 online or let's follow up cbc bbc what would he be selling his daughter towards 0.96
00:01:27.940 do i'll be divorced some pervert who wants a little girl because afghanistan is an islamic 0.98
00:01:33.960 culture that has absolutely no concept of value to women they see them as chattel they see them 1.00
00:01:39.660 as property so this man rather than going out i mean most parents would die before letting harm
00:01:48.960 come to their children. They would never consider selling them. You notice he's not saying he's
00:01:54.260 selling his sons, by the way. There's parents who have become desperate and did things in times of
00:02:00.820 famine. They're the ones, perhaps, in an awful situation that would prostitute themselves or do
00:02:08.100 all sorts of things just so they could scrape together money to pay for their children. I don't
00:02:11.840 doubt things are tough in Afghanistan. You know why things are tough in Afghanistan? Because it's
00:02:16.940 run by a medieval group of islamic lunatics who keep them in the dark ages that's why that's why 1.00
00:02:26.540 they're poor 1.00
