00:00:00.000 it's clear he doesn't hold Canadian leadership in any regard whatsoever. I mean, people, again,
00:00:05.260 they dismiss the trolling. Well, wait a minute, this is a world leader openly mocking another
00:00:10.220 world leader. Like this is not a healthy relationship and dynamic building up.
00:00:14.860 No, and it's not like we're a third world country. We're a fellow G7 country. And as you mentioned,
00:00:21.180 Trump's got an intense dislike for Trudeau. Most of us do. Most of us do, I guess. So yeah,
00:00:27.340 and you remember Trudeau got, at a G7 meeting, he got caught bad-mouthing Trump. Trump doesn't
00:00:33.940 forget that kind of stuff. And Trump takes great delight in calling Trudeau governor of the 51st
00:00:41.260 state, you know, any time he can. So yeah, I mean, can you imagine those two going into a room?
00:00:49.300 Trudeau's got no strength. You know, he can't even control his own party, his own caucus. How is he
00:00:55.660 going to stand up to the force? So there's one Donald Trump. Well, let's segue into that then,
00:01:01.640 you know, the kind of the bombshell that hit with Christia Freeland. You know, there's another big
00:01:07.480 story right at the end of the year. She was getting ready to deliver what everybody knew was going to
00:01:13.560 be a terrible fiscal update. They deferred it for months. I mean, this was supposed to happen in fall.
00:01:17.680 And then Trudeau just shot himself in the foot and bizarrely fired her.
00:01:25.820 Yeah. And, you know, I think you said before we went on the air that he's delusional.
00:01:30.600 He calls up Freeland on a Zoom meeting and says, hey, okay, you're going to deliver this really
00:01:36.080 bag of steaming, you know what, to the Canadian people, $62 billion deficit. And now guess what?
00:01:43.800 I'm going to fire you. And Mark Carney is going to come in and take your place. So, you know,
00:01:49.980 Freeland thought about it over the weekend and decided to give a big middle finger to her,
00:01:55.780 really a boss who she was really loyal to, right? Even in the weeks, you know, the GST holiday,
00:02:02.240 just a couple of weeks ago, she was at his side, pitching how wonderful it is. And then she's,
00:02:07.000 you know, criticizing it in her resignation letter. But yeah, the day that the economic statement was
00:02:13.820 to be delivered, she quit. And it was panic stations on the liberal side. They went through,
00:02:22.340 I guess, Mark Carney said, no, he didn't want the job. So I don't know where Trudeau got that from.
00:02:27.980 And they went through, I guess, next in line was Francois-Philippe Champagne. And he said, no,
00:02:35.160 and the two Randys. And I guess they both said no. So I ended up just walking it into the house of God.
00:02:40.620 I was laying it on the table. Okay, there it is. We're not even going to, you know, we're not even
00:02:43.860 going to read it. So yeah, it really was. And it's, how does he go from here? How does he survive?
00:02:54.500 I guess that's going to be part of the fun watching in the days ahead. But what a, what a
00:02:59.440 mess. Well, it's really exposed his nature a lot. I mean, talk about the arrogance, you know, he
00:03:05.440 taking Freeland for granted. And again, I'm not a big fan of her either. She rode this ship all the 0.99
00:03:11.700 way up to where it is. But still, she was loyally bobbling her head behind him at every conference.
00:03:17.100 She ate a lot of poop on his behalf. You know, whenever there were bad times, actually,
00:03:20.340 he would often throw her into the fire rather than taking it on himself. But then just to think
00:03:25.720 that, okay, you know, she is so loyal, she loves me so much that she will take this, she will take
00:03:30.400 a zoom meeting firing, and still work for me, you know, three days from now and deliver this thing 0.72
00:03:36.700 like just so arrogant and vain. We already knew he was that way. But this was beyond the pale.
