Denialist is a term borrowed from the term used to describe a person who challenges a narrative for which there is no evidence. But in the case of the Holocaust, there is massive physical evidence of the murder of six million Jews in Europe.
00:00:00.000The narrative is a blow against the rational foundations of Western civilization.
00:00:06.320You know, we have painstakingly over centuries, we developed a culture of logic and evidence.
00:00:13.080It's not perfect, but it is widely accepted that beliefs are supposed to rest, or at least beliefs about the world around us, are supposed to rest upon logic and evidence.
00:00:26.500And so when you get a story for which there is literally no evidence, and a story which defies all logic, this is a threat to rationality.
00:00:39.600So it has to be supported by authority, because the narrative will fall of its own weight eventually.
00:00:48.420And so that's why now those who want to maintain the narrative are turning to the authority of the state and say, hey, we have to have legislation to make it a crime of some sort to challenge the narrative.
00:01:06.020They call anybody who challenges aspects of the narrative is called a denialist.
00:01:10.720It's a term borrowed from a Holocaust debate.
00:01:14.860But see, it's totally different, because the murder of six million Jews in Europe is supported by massive physical evidence.
00:01:25.160We have the camps, all the Germans kept records, the gas chambers.
00:01:33.480And the Allied soldiers, when they came in, they found bodies, they found a few survivors.
00:01:39.900So massive physical evidence of what had happened, as well as documentary evidence.
00:01:45.000So it's anybody who denies that Holocaust has to concoct a conspiracy theory in which the governments of the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union,
00:01:55.940all being controlled by Jews, created this story about the murder of all the Jews.
00:02:08.940So calling people like myself a denialist is sort of an inversion of the original term,
00:02:15.700because I'm challenging a narrative for which there is no evidence.
