00:00:00.000 Good day.
00:00:28.920 Hey, welcome to the Corey Morgan Show.
00:00:30.920 We got a good one ahead of you.
00:00:32.380 I like to think they're all good, but come on, sometimes we hit them well, 0.99
00:00:34.580 sometimes they kind of suck. 0.70
00:00:35.980 For the most part, I think they're informative and cover some good issues 0.97
00:00:39.500 and stuff like that.
00:00:41.060 I know our news editor, Dave Naylor, is chomping at the bit.
00:00:45.140 He's got a massive pile of news to report on and update us on, 0.82
00:00:47.860 so I won't drag my butt on too long before getting on with my ranting monologue
00:00:51.620 to kick things off. 0.82
00:00:52.580 In a little while, also, I'm going to have the guy known as Berta Proud Dad on.
00:00:56.760 his other name is Lawrence McGee, and he started an initiative that's really wound up Alberta
00:01:02.140 teachers. It's going to be an interesting discussion on what he's gotten going. But let's get into local
00:01:06.360 news, kind of. I just want to talk to Ottawa. Listen here, I'm tired. I mean, I grew up in the
00:01:14.420 national energy program. Bone tired of Ottawa treating Alberta's oil and gas like some communal
00:01:19.600 cookie jar they can rummage through whenever the mood strikes, or if, in this case, the Americans
00:01:24.900 start throwing tariffs around. Hands off. That's pretty much the whole sermon. Keep your federal
00:01:29.440 fingers, your clever little export tax schemes, your national interest lectures, and your sudden
00:01:35.200 urge to play tough guy with our barrels well the hell away from our oil patch. We didn't stumble
00:01:41.220 into this resource. Generations of Albertans built the damn thing. We took the boom and bust 1.00
00:01:46.500 punches, the price crashes that emptied towns, the environmental lectures from people who heat their
00:01:52.480 homes with the same molecules they pretend to despise. And now, with a trade dispute looming
00:01:57.200 and counter tariff scheduled for September, some bright lights in the east along with some local
00:02:01.940 failed politicians are suddenly wondering if we should weaponize the one thing that keeps the
00:02:06.500 lights on in this country. Spare me, guys. Daniel Smith's right on this one, even if it makes the
00:02:11.320 usual suspects clutch their pearls. Slapping an export tax on Alberta crude or threatening to
00:02:16.300 throttle volumes heading south isn't leverage. It's a self-inflicted wound dressed up as patriotism.
00:02:21.740 The U.S. takes the bulk of what we produce.
00:02:24.900 Cut that off or tax it into oblivion and you're not hurting Washington first.
00:02:29.140 You're putting 140,000 Alberta jobs in the chopping block
00:02:32.160 and daring Americans to retaliate on the pipelines that already snaked through their territory
00:02:36.920 or the gas that keeps Ontario warm.
00:02:39.120 Those pipes go south and then north, guys.
00:02:40.960 That's not strategy. That's political sloth.
00:02:44.060 And don't start with the...
00:02:45.280 It's Canada's resource line.
00:02:47.960 Constitutionally, that resource belongs to Alberta.
00:02:50.340 That battle was hard fought back in 1930 and won by the western provinces.
00:02:55.640 And we aren't going to give it up now.
00:02:57.400 Ottawa's job was supposed to be facilitating getting these products to Tidewater so we weren't held hostage to one customer.
00:03:04.460 Instead, we've got years of regulatory delays, a tanker ban that treats bitumen like radioactive waste,
00:03:10.440 and an emissions cap that only recently got parked for the time being.
00:03:15.240 Now they're talking about a new potential West Coast line, but they remain noncommittal, of course.
00:03:20.340 And as if that erases the previous decades of his obstruction.
00:03:25.080 Hey, if you can do it, fine.
00:03:26.080 Go ahead, build that pipe, capture all the carbon you please.
00:03:28.860 Just don't turn around and decide our production is a bargaining chip in a tariff war.
00:03:33.040 You helped escalate, Ottawa.
00:03:35.020 The hypocrisy is impressive. 0.97
00:03:36.660 When prices are high, Alberta is this selfish petro state that should share more.
00:03:40.420 But when the prices are low, well, then it's Alberta's oil.
00:03:43.220 Americans, they get cranky.
00:03:44.420 Suddenly, we're supposed to turn off the taps for the greater good. 0.99
00:03:47.080 But a greater good for whom?
00:03:48.040 the same federation that happily doled out eastern equalization checks funded no small part by the
00:03:54.020 royalties and taxes that we pay and regenerate with that oil. We've been the cash cow that gets
00:04:00.020 lectured about how we produce. Forgive us if we're not eager to volunteer for another round of
00:04:04.860 sacrifice. Look, a trade war is messy. We've got small manufacturers, farmers, furniture makers,
00:04:10.400 even in Alberta, they're already feeling the squeeze. That's real. Escalating it by playing
00:04:14.400 games that the energy flows would be even dumber though. The Americans need our oil. Roughly half 0.99
00:04:18.860 of their imports of it come from Canada and they know it. They've left energy off the tariff list
00:04:23.920 so far anyways for a reason. Advertising that we're willing to choke our own industry to make
00:04:29.320 a point is how you turn a negotiation into a brawl that nobody in this province is going to win.
00:04:33.740 Much less the rest of the country which has been consuming the fruits of Alberta's labor for
00:04:37.420 generations. So let Alberta develop the resource and sell it at the best price the market will
00:04:43.060 bear. Just leave us alone. Let us build the infrastructure so we're not permanently tied 0.61
00:04:47.240 to one buyer then. And then leave us the hell alone. No last minute federal vetoes, no sudden
00:04:52.660 national security restrictions, no using Alberta's payroll as a pressure tactic because some other
00:04:57.740 province wants to look tough. If Ottawa wants to fight a trade war, it can do it with the tools
00:05:01.880 that don't require us to set our own house on fire first out here in Alberta. We've spent enough
00:05:06.860 years watching distant politicians treat this province like a problem to be managed rather
00:05:10.980 and a partner that actually produces something that the world does want the referendum talk
00:05:16.180 didn't come out of nowhere guys keep treating the oil sands like a political football and people
00:05:20.820 here eventually decide they'd rather set the rules themselves and god knows i'm encouraging
00:05:25.300 them to take that choice so until then the message is simple and getting grumpy canada
00:05:30.420 keep your grubby little hands off our oil and gas well that's right kicking things off hey
00:05:35.620 dave how's it going it's going well good as an editor though i have to correct you 0.80
00:05:39.220 I am not chomping at the bit.
00:05:41.760 The correct phrase is champing.
00:05:44.020 Champing at the bit.
00:05:44.960 I like chomping, but I'll fix that.
00:05:46.820 It's going to be converted to a column, so thank you.
00:05:48.840 Oh, you're very welcome.
00:05:50.340 I see Jane has finally left you.
00:05:52.800 For a little while.
00:05:53.660 She got tired of your craziness, needed a break in the sunshine.
00:05:57.680 Yes, she took her off to B.C. enjoying a poolside whilst I managed the idiot dogs at home. 1.00
00:06:02.680 Yes, and all your independent stuff you do, too. 1.00
00:06:06.680 Yes.
00:06:07.020 Who's keeping the books while she's gone? 0.89
00:06:09.220 She still keeps an eye on that because she knows my idiocy will bring us all into difficulty if it's left unattended.
00:06:16.420 Still bringing in money? 0.96
00:06:17.920 It's slowed down quite a bit.
00:06:19.040 You know, it's August.
00:06:19.680 We expected that.
00:06:20.760 But, you know, it's still coming in.
00:06:22.360 The signs are still going out like crazy anyway.
00:06:24.340 Good.
00:06:25.100 All right.
00:06:25.600 Yes, news.
00:06:26.500 There's lots.
00:06:27.260 Lots and lots of news.
00:06:28.760 Do you know, Corey, we had 18 pieces of content put out by 10 a.m.?
00:06:31.980 You mentioned that earlier.
00:06:33.420 I'll bet you that's the best of any media in Canada.
00:06:36.820 Yeah, nobody puts out that.
00:06:37.860 No.
00:06:38.260 And good content.
00:06:39.580 Good content.
00:06:40.080 It's quality.
00:06:40.660 Yeah, we're fired on all cylinders across the country.
00:06:43.420 There's no doubt about that.
00:06:45.320 Why don't we begin with Donald Trump?
00:06:48.280 He was on radio this morning saying we are going to teach Canada a lesson.
00:06:54.540 They've abused us too much.
00:06:56.560 And then just moments before the show, he put out a tweet of an American bald eagle crushing the neck of a Canada goose.
00:07:04.500 So it doesn't seem like we're going back to the table.
00:07:06.720 Keeping the temperature down.
00:07:07.720 That's nice.
00:07:08.120 Doug Ford held a press conference, that's always good for the house, he went on a tirade
00:07:14.260 about oil companies, and they're playing games with gas prices, because they drop at night
00:07:20.020 and then they go up in the morning, and he's sick of it, and maybe we should just separate
00:07:25.480 him from those nasty oil companies altogether, that's what they want to do is curtail oil,
00:07:29.060 well let's start with Ontario, see how it feels.
00:07:33.060 And he's also now moved ahead in the polls, provincial poll, he was trailing the Liberals
00:07:38.000 for a bit, but his personal popularity is now soaring, probably after he told Trump 0.99
00:07:42.720 to kiss his ass, but yeah, horrible scenes out of Nepal, I don't know if you've seen 0.99
00:07:49.220 the videos, Corey, about flash flooding, some sort of glacier collapsed, and killing, it's 0.99
00:07:57.080 going to kill hundreds and hundreds, not to impersonate Donald Trump, but nobody's ever
00:08:01.820 seen anything like it uh the videos uh on our site are just uh just appalling and 24 canadian
00:08:08.540 tourists are missing uh so it's uh it's going to be a major story uh your friend keith wilson
00:08:15.900 says we've got a story on him saying the best way to protect out to protect alberta oil is to
00:08:20.860 separate hard hard to argue with with that keith and i are consistent that way yeah former bc
00:08:28.700 premier Christy Clark sent out a warning to BC conservatives today saying quote
00:08:34.760 jump ship before you drown this is the retread premiers are all coming out of
00:08:39.380 the woodwork we got not Lee and Kenny and Christy Clark there was a BC MLA who
00:08:45.200 took that advice Teresa what and she quit caucus this morning so the fourth
00:08:49.940 fourth MLA to quit quit in two weeks it was a Calgary police shooting early this
00:08:56.780 morning they shot an armed woman down in the South community of legacy and ACERT is now
00:09:05.400 investigating as per usual Melanie Jolie was in town today lowering the average IQ in the city
00:09:12.740 but she says we're not going to tell you if we're going to tear a foil so she doesn't know so no
00:09:18.260 nobody would consider one of the luminaries I mean she had great discussions and shared
00:09:23.960 crayons with prime minister trudeau for a long time exactly uh meta uh just breaking this morning
00:09:29.720 has reached a 17 billion dollar settlement uh they were sued by a whole bunch of states for
00:09:36.360 social media harming children so they're going to pay a big fine and they're going to make changes
00:09:41.160 to make it harder for children to get into in northern alberta there was a disturbing story in
00:09:47.960 manning uh have you been there yes actually jane taught a barn quilting course up there just a few
00:09:53.800 months ago i was up there and i did a lot of work out in the chinchaga area west of there when i was
00:09:58.120 in the oil field it's a nice part of the country well it's nice country out there the town's a
00:10:03.320 little rough it's it's oil field country and agriculture but not all bad anyways the rcmp
00:10:08.520 have arrested a 16 year old and seized numerous weapons after he threatened to shoot up school
00:10:13.880 when it came back on september 1st so i'm glad they cut him before he acted then uh olivia chow
00:10:20.360 for some reason was let loose on cnn uh this morning and said she stands stands behind cutting
00:10:26.200 the electricity to the united states good luck with that uh and mark carney he's off to europe
00:10:33.640 off to france to attend the european union state of the union address
00:10:38.840 You know, all part of his plan to move us closer to Europe.
00:10:43.120 He's working out so well so far.
00:10:45.040 And Parker, you remember that poor kid?
00:10:47.680 Yes.
00:10:47.980 Autistic kid who was found missing after so many days.
00:10:51.640 Just an outpouring of love by Calgarians.
00:10:54.240 They built memorials and graffiti tributes to them.
00:10:59.380 City of Calgary tore them all down, which I can understand.
00:11:03.020 I'm mixed. I know. It's hard. 1.00
00:11:04.660 You can't leave them up.
00:11:06.260 And then they end up getting degraded and looking worse.
00:11:08.560 and sewing on i mean people want to make their respects pay their respects but it does have to
00:11:14.800 be cleaned at some point maybe a plaque a permanent plaque in one of the parks that he used to play in
00:11:20.720 would do the trick yeah yeah okay uh that's about half of what we covered coming up we're
00:11:27.440 gonna have more reaction to the passing of dolly parton did you have a favorite dolly parton song
00:11:32.320 I'm not a big Charlie Parton I mean as a celebrity and an icon I mean it had
00:11:38.020 nothing but respect and seeing that she was a part of everything but it's just
00:11:40.480 it wasn't a genre to my and Daniel Smith having a presser at 310 this
00:11:46.660 afternoon for her first public appearance since the trade talks broke
00:11:51.460 off so we'll be there there was another passing and why am I brain farting on his
00:11:58.300 name, from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Tim Curry, yeah. You know, again, maybe not as iconic
00:12:05.560 as Dolly Parton, but still just a figure from the past. He's moved along. He was 80 as well. I mean,
00:12:12.100 he was older. I didn't realize quite that. I knew he'd been sick, too. I remember taking my
00:12:16.000 grandfather when he visited from England to the Rocky Horror Picture Show at Stage West. He was,
00:12:21.840 like i think befuddled by the whole thing yes unusual production not the usual uh stage show
00:12:29.520 that he was used to he was a great character actor anyways he was well sad in passing all
00:12:35.040 right well let you get back to that rock and crazy newsroom and uh we'll see for the pipeline i guess
00:12:40.640 looking forward to it right on well thank you so yes as you can see from dave wow all sorts of
00:12:45.680 stuff going on and he has a room full of reporters and a province full for that matter even outside
00:12:50.560 of Alberta covering that. The reason we can do it, guys, so I got to remind you is because you've
00:12:56.380 subscribed. Get on there, westernstandard.news slash subscription, $10 a month, $100 a year,
00:13:02.640 helps fund, keep those reporters on the ground covering that stuff. That press conference,
00:13:07.100 we've got a guy on the ground. We've been getting questions to Premier Smith. We've gotten questions
00:13:10.620 to the Prime Minister. Other outlets don't ask those kinds of questions. We do. And the reason
00:13:16.240 we can is because you guys have been supporting us. So if you've subscribed already, thank you
00:13:21.120 very much. We really do appreciate it. If you haven't yet, come on guys, it's just like a
00:13:24.180 newspaper subscription used to be. Reach into the wallet, invest in your news well-being and get
00:13:30.700 past that pesky paywall. It keeps us independent and keeps us covering those stories, as I said,
00:13:37.560 that the others just don't have the courage to. Ah, speaking of courage and pissing people off
00:13:42.000 and stirring things up.
00:13:43.540 I see he's in the lobby.
00:13:44.740 We'll bring him in right away.
00:13:45.900 Berta Proud, dad, also known as Lawrence McGee,
00:13:49.940 I guess you could introduce it the other way around,
00:13:52.000 has brought about a very interesting initiative.
00:13:55.520 Hey there, thanks for joining us today.
00:13:57.860 Thanks, Corey.
00:13:58.660 Thanks for having me, buddy.
00:14:00.380 Yeah, I know you're out and about on the road,
00:14:02.340 so I appreciate you taking some of that time.
00:14:04.200 I guess, you know, the school season
00:14:05.980 and the summer is coming to an end,
00:14:07.540 So, uh, you've, uh, things are only going to get more lively, I guess where to begin.
00:14:13.340 You started the report a teacher website.
00:14:16.360 Uh, give us a rundown.
00:14:18.120 What is it?
00:14:19.420 Yeah.
00:14:19.880 So report a teacher is basically to hold teachers accountable.
00:14:22.480 So how this all came about was, um, there was a teacher called Peter McKay going all
00:14:28.220 over social media with bill 25 coming out, which was supposed to be September 20 or September
00:14:32.820 1st, which Danielle Smith is now delayed.
00:14:35.000 and she's talking about January, which I'm quite disappointed about and many other parents are.
00:14:39.200 But he was going around telling people how to circumvent the rules, basically other teachers,
00:14:42.980 how they can get around it. And that was put onto my attention. And during the teacher strike,
00:14:47.340 I was an advocate and I always said that, you know, it would be students first and the teachers,
00:14:52.960 they come second to me and many other parents in the province. And that kind of pissed me off
00:14:57.300 when I saw that. So I said, well, there's got to be something we can do. And now we do know
00:15:01.060 that the provincial government does have a report system put in place right now, but it's just not
00:15:06.440 working well enough. There's no way to know how many reports are put in, how many reports have
00:15:10.380 been actionable and what has actually been resolved if they've resolved any. So what I kind of did is
00:15:15.140 I got together with a teacher and a couple other wonderful people who care and we came up with
00:15:20.500 report a teacher. And there's a lot of misinformation out there saying that we're going to use this to
00:15:24.960 docs teachers and who are we to be able to do this and all that other stuff, but we're not going to
00:15:29.760 be making any of that information public. What this is, is a tool for parents to go to somewhere
00:15:34.500 and say, hey, you know what? These teachers aren't doing their jobs effectively. They're
00:15:37.720 not following Bill 25. And we want you to tell the education minister, the minister of education,
00:15:43.440 and basically get this dealt with because they don't have confidence in the government.
00:15:48.220 No, well, and a lot of us don't have confidence in the teachers. I mean, hey, I'm certain the
00:15:53.540 vast majority of teachers, I mean, it's a tough job to get into. They did it because they want
00:15:57.340 to educate children. They're of the best of intentions. They're not going to harm them. But
00:16:01.120 there is a vocal minority who are pretty ideologically driven, who feel they have to
00:16:05.540 bring their ideology into the classroom. We've seen examples of that. We've seen kids showing
00:16:10.400 it with their smartphones. We've heard it reported. The unions are going to cover that up. I mean,
00:16:14.860 we've got to allow parents and students at least some sort of outlet to report on this when this
00:16:19.600 happens. Absolutely. Parents should be comfortable knowing that when the child goes to school that
00:16:24.000 they don't have to worry about ideologies um before academics right and we're kind of seeing
00:16:30.600 that shift now and if you notice if you're a teacher if you're a student out there um you
00:16:35.920 should you should be deserving of that kind of education when you go to school and it should set
00:16:41.160 you up for success these are the leaders of tomorrow that's what they are what i'm seeing
00:16:44.740 is universities especially you know they take these kids out of school who have already been
00:16:49.540 accustomed to this ideology and they kind of double down on it through the students unions
00:16:53.160 and other programs and we're not just talking about the pride flag here everybody likes to say
00:16:56.960 that you know this is about hating pride flags i've seen i've seen free palestine t-shirts i've
00:17:02.640 seen flags i've seen stickers uh i've seen uh little posters about people going after the
00:17:07.900 premier in classrooms it has no place in our classroom so they want to hang the canadian
00:17:13.480 flag and the alberta flag only and i agree with them well i think most most parents agree they
00:17:18.100 just want an unbiased education going towards their children flags are just symbols and those
00:17:22.860 ones don't even, in my view, bother me as much, though it is indicative, and I understand why it
00:17:26.860 has to be controlled, unfortunately, because the common sense is left, but a lot of this is what
00:17:31.520 they're saying. And kids with smartphones have let out some very interesting recordings. One
00:17:36.020 teacher was going on at the classroom about the evils of the Federal Conservative Party,
00:17:40.980 in a very rough way. There was another one where a child was shamed and called out, and he was a
00:17:46.980 Muslim individual because he didn't want to participate in some sort of scheduled pride event.
00:17:52.860 If we don't expose these, how do we stop these teachers from pushing the kids around? 0.85
00:17:57.160 Well, that's exactly it.
00:17:58.400 And that's what Report Teachers is all about.
00:18:00.180 Like I said before earlier, you know, there is a program out there, but parents don't feel that that program and that system is working effectively or efficiently.
00:18:07.720 And they want parents to take it into their own hands.
00:18:10.080 And that's exactly what we've done.
00:18:11.540 And this isn't just about LGBTQ+, like I said.
00:18:14.660 This is about all ideologies in the classroom. 0.88
00:18:17.660 It should be academics first and leave that for home.
00:18:21.060 You know what I mean?
00:18:21.500 if you want to inundate your child with your ideology at home as a parent, that's your right
00:18:26.220 to do so. You know, for instance, let's talk about clothing for a second. Everybody know that I have
00:18:30.140 a clothing company and one major slogan that I go with is unapologetically conservative.
00:18:34.520 I sell flags, I sell hats, I sell t-shirts. None of that should be in the classroom. That goes
00:18:40.160 against Bill 25. And if there's a teacher out there wearing that and a parent decides to report
00:18:45.800 it to the website, it's going to go up to the chain to the Minister of Education because even
00:18:49.580 though I sell that clothing, it's still inappropriate for the classroom.
00:18:53.760 So what about controls though? I mean, that is something, you know, it's a legitimate question.
00:18:57.900 It's a fair one. This is a person just starting something together. What if it's a student with
00:19:02.280 an unfair grudge who doesn't like a teacher? I mean, I was a little dick when I was in school. 0.93
00:19:05.820 I could have pulled nasty things on teachers or even a parent with a problem. How do we make 0.97
00:19:10.280 sure a teacher doesn't unfairly get labeled or smeared in something like this?
00:19:14.280 yeah absolutely so that's a very good question and it's it's basically a foolproof system
00:19:19.900 to counteract the misinformation many people have that same question bill 25 is going to be listed
00:19:25.460 on the website and what we're kind of picturing right now we're trying to get the programmers to
00:19:29.640 do is a drag and drop system so basically you're going to have to upload a picture as a parent a
00:19:35.040 verified parent and you're going to have to verify your identity and you're going to drag and drop
00:19:39.800 the rule out of Bill 25 that corresponds to the picture. So you're not actually just writing in
00:19:45.780 there, Mrs. Smith has a Palestinian flag t-shirt. You created some AI image of it because we have
00:19:52.540 AI detection as well. And then you can put that in there. You actually have to drag and drop.
00:19:56.300 You have to do your work. It's going to take you 15 minutes to submit a report here. This isn't
00:19:59.800 going to be something that they can come and just mass report and mass because they have a grudge
00:20:03.920 against a teacher. And then we're going to have a committee of people. I'm not on the committee of
00:20:09.360 people just letting everybody know they all like to ask what my qualifications are. Some of these
00:20:14.100 are teachers and academics and they are basically going to be working for the website and they're
00:20:20.020 going to be the ones that go through the reports and then we are going to hand them in and track
00:20:23.460 them to the Minister of Education. So you will have to drag and drop the rule that is being broken
00:20:27.400 corresponded to a picture to prove that this is an actual report. So unsurprisingly the teachers
00:20:35.060 unions, and a number of politicians have gone quite haywire over your initiative so far.
00:20:42.500 What sort of backlash have you been dealing with? I know they've been trying to get your site pulled
00:20:45.620 down, but they failed so far. Yeah. So the site isn't illegal. We have lawyers that I went out
00:20:51.800 and I hired to tell me if I could even do this in the first place. What I'm doing is absolutely
00:20:57.800 legal uh death threats we've received death threats both myself and my wife because of this
00:21:03.780 um they've doxed my 16 year old daughter again this is the second time she's ever gone through
00:21:08.280 a doxing attempt the first one was during the teacher strike uh when i was speaking out against
00:21:12.420 teachers then so teachers it's just it's absolutely amazing and wild to me right you know they're
00:21:16.640 they're in charge of our kids in the classroom but when they get a little pushback or they might
00:21:20.540 be held accountable to something by parents but it doesn't seem that they like too much
00:21:23.760 they start going after our kids it just doesn't make sense to me and and but the thing is is it's
00:21:29.120 all the more reason right now to make sure that this website goes ahead is because the behavior
00:21:34.100 that they've shown us in the past couple weeks since we decided to to launch this yeah and I
00:21:39.260 mean something a little background I should give to some of the viewers and listeners here
00:21:42.440 Alberta's system the way we have it I mean in a case like this often perhaps you would have
00:21:47.180 a professional association a person could put a complaint towards or think feel that things are
00:21:51.460 being done inappropriately. In Canada, they've made this hybrid. The union is the professional
00:21:56.780 association. It's one and the same. And the union makes no bones about it. It's the interest of the
00:22:02.120 teacher that it protects rather than that of the student, which leaves this gap for parents or
00:22:08.200 students where you don't even know where you can take a complaint if you feel something's been
00:22:13.160 inappropriately going on in a classroom. Yeah, that's exactly it. It's not only that you don't
00:22:18.700 know where to bring a complaint it's what happens after the complaint has been put in you know we
00:22:23.200 we're seeing the Alberta Teachers Association protect their own and they have no protections
00:22:27.160 in for parents we've seen parents have to pull their kids out of school go to private school
00:22:31.500 they've seen them have to homeschool and that shouldn't just be the case right we all know
00:22:35.500 what kind of economy we live in where it needs to be two parents at work to even raise a family now
00:22:39.960 and now parents are wondering where they're going to send their kids but I have seen one thing
00:22:43.740 online since starting all of this homeschool has become popular very very popular and the ata is
00:22:49.520 fighting against that as well they did through the last teacher strike and they're trying to do it
00:22:52.880 through the ndp um but parents just do not feel confident you know that yes there's we all like
00:22:57.940 to look at the hate comments or people who are disagreeing with this and i know on my own page
00:23:01.840 i've been showing a lot of that but don't don't let that fool you there's a lot more support for
00:23:06.380 this website than there are people who hate it well absolutely and i mean some of it hopefully
00:23:11.440 is just a preventative measure.
00:23:13.540 You know, as long as they know people are watching
00:23:16.260 and there can be a report,
00:23:17.620 a teacher who is ideologically fixated
00:23:20.120 might just realize it's better for him or her
00:23:22.560 to just bite their tongue, keep it to yourself,
00:23:25.040 rant about it at home, or do it on your own time
00:23:27.060 and not take it out in the classroom.
00:23:28.580 I mean, this goes both ways.
00:23:30.020 You know, I don't think a teacher should promote
00:23:32.420 Alberta independence within the classroom either,
00:23:34.480 even if I very much like the attitude.
00:23:35.900 That's just not appropriate for that space.
00:23:39.220 no it really isn't appropriate and and that's what i'm saying i and i want to be clear about
00:23:44.900 this i hope i get zero reports on this website because if i get zero reports on this website
00:23:50.520 i know teachers are doing their job but unfortunately you know if i was a betting man
00:23:55.500 i bet you we're going to get a lot of reports here because what i'm seeing i just got a picture sent
00:24:00.680 to me by a parent who has a kid in red deer and they're already circumventing the rules even though
00:24:06.200 we're not at bill 25 yet we're waiting till january uh there's no pride pride flags in this
00:24:11.160 school in red deer i'll be doing content on this what they've done now is taken lightning bolts
00:24:15.540 with rainbows and then palestinian colors and they plastered them around the school so it's
00:24:22.540 it's absolutely insane that teachers out there are trying to circumvent these rules when they
00:24:27.860 should actually be worrying about being a better teacher and how they're going to set up the
00:24:31.980 leaders of tomorrow well there's no shortage of things that teachers if they want to take up
00:24:37.400 activism outside of the classroom that they can promote i mean perhaps things aren't being well
00:24:41.620 enough funded maybe there's not a good balance in curriculum that could be rationally discussed and
00:24:45.820 and worked on and improved upon but when they're just so fixated on putting up symbols or or uh
00:24:51.880 or sometimes defending some matter that's getting in front of children that really isn't appropriate
00:24:55.840 and you question things and you know getting kind of broader how though do we battle this ideology
00:25:02.780 I think it was a Nova Scotia minister or somebody out east recently went on a tirade saying that
00:25:08.620 parents do not have the right to you know raise their children they were saying it is the role
00:25:15.160 they felt it is their role to get between children and their parents and to take over the education
00:25:20.340 Like it's a, an arrogance and a dangerous, uh, inter intervention within the rights of parents
00:25:26.840 and families in general. And it's growing. How do we stop or at least counter the growth of that
00:25:32.560 ideology in general? Well, parents, uh, and I know a lot of parents are not lazy and they're not lazy
00:25:38.600 when it comes down to their children's education, but parents have to be more involved. You know,
00:25:42.920 what I do with my daughter every day, she comes home from school and maybe I might not see her
00:25:46.420 right away. And maybe it'll be in the evening as I ask her what she learned that day. I asked her
00:25:50.080 if anything made her feel uncomfortable and then I ask her point blank about ideology in the
00:25:55.960 classroom. I ask her point blank about this and she understands right and we've been doing this
00:26:00.320 since elementary school with her so she knows all about it but you know the days that she feels
00:26:04.980 uncomfortable which is few and far between now because she is in a really good school we do have
00:26:09.540 a conversation about it and then I've had to get involved on three occasions with the principal
00:26:13.620 and with teachers and we've fixed it. The power of social media is amazing when you can go out there
00:26:19.020 And you can, you know, basically, if you have evidence and show what a teacher has done, you know, you can usually get some change done.
00:26:27.180 But we're not I want to be clear about this website.
00:26:29.460 This website is not going to do that.
00:26:31.120 I'm not going to be taking Mrs. Smith because she has a report on her and making content about this.
00:26:35.880 But what I can do is I can go to the Minister of Education and ask him why there's not, you know, we have 50 reports in and there's no actionable items happening.
00:26:43.300 And that's something and I can report on that.
00:26:45.480 So that's that's basically why this website now exists.
00:26:48.480 But in all reality, parents have to start getting involved and they have to not be scared to attend school board meetings.
00:26:54.680 They can't be scared to hold these teachers accountable because they don't own our kids and their responsibility is not to own our kids.
00:27:01.820 It's to set them up for the future.
00:27:03.720 We will handle the ideology and our value and belief system under our own roofs because we're entitled to do that as parents.
00:27:10.060 That's a very good point.
00:27:11.160 I mean, personal responsibility still comes into this as, you know, if the parents aren't going to participate in the school system,
00:27:18.480 then don't be so shocked if things go in a different direction than what you would have
00:27:22.580 liked to have seen we do have school board elections we have terrible turnouts for it
00:27:26.420 uh we do have you know parent teacher events things like that where you can communicate with
00:27:31.800 teachers talk to the school members and possibly head off some of these issues before they become
00:27:37.040 an issue nobody else is going to be able to do it unless we stand up and do it ourselves
00:27:40.500 they're your they're your children they're not the teacher's children and i can't i can't be
00:27:45.860 more clear about that they're your children and you have a role and responsibility when it comes
00:27:50.900 to their education just like teachers do you have more of a role and responsibility because the
00:27:55.540 teachers will do what they're going to do follow the academics and if they are indoctrinating your
00:28:00.700 child with some sort of ideology you're never going to know unless you ask because these kids
00:28:04.900 are seeing this every single day and they think it's normal get into the rooms go to the parent
00:28:09.640 teacher interviews ask for a tour of the school get involved and since we just decided to launch
00:28:14.800 this website, so many parents have reached out to me and said that they're going to do that.
00:28:19.120 Exactly that. They're going to go and meet with their teachers. They're going to meet with the
00:28:22.200 principal and they're going to tour schools. They want to know exactly what's going on in their
00:28:25.880 school because, well, obviously what the teachers did by the backlash towards me and my colleagues
00:28:32.240 in this has woken a lot of parents up to what the hell is going on in education in Alberta.
00:28:38.020 Well, I appreciate you bringing attention to the issue and it's just the right time at the start
00:28:41.920 of the school season. I mean, there's a lot of things going on, but we still got to pay attention
00:28:45.220 to our local issues while they're going ahead. So before I let you go, where can people find
00:28:50.380 more information on what you're doing in general and on this initiative specifically?
00:28:54.900 Just go to the website right now. It's not launched. We can't take any reports until
00:28:59.160 Bill 25 actually comes into play here. But you can go to reportateacher.ca and it's going to tell
00:29:04.080 you exactly how we're laying it all out. Don't allow some comment section or some Facebook warrior
00:29:09.460 to tell you how this is going to work.
00:29:11.840 We're laying it out right there.
00:29:13.200 You can read it.
00:29:13.800 It's a little bit of a read,
00:29:14.600 but if you're a concerned parent or a teacher
00:29:16.380 and you don't like what we're doing,
00:29:18.220 right there should answer all your questions
00:29:19.800 of what we're going to be doing.
00:29:21.460 Right on.
00:29:22.060 Well, I'll let you get back
00:29:23.180 to what you're doing out east over there.
00:29:24.960 I thank you for taking some time to talk to us today
00:29:27.760 and for the work you've been doing.
00:29:30.040 We'll see how things go into the school year.
00:29:32.140 As you said, hopefully there's no complaints
00:29:33.540 because you've just scared off the ideologues
00:29:35.880 and they'll just stick to the curriculum.
00:29:37.880 I hope so as well.
00:29:38.840 Thanks, Corey.
00:29:39.340 Appreciate it.
00:29:40.380 Great.
00:29:40.620 Thank you.
00:29:41.540 So one more time, guys.
00:29:42.540 Yeah, report at teacher.ca.
00:29:44.220 That was Lawrence McGee, or most easily found as Berta Proud Dad on many, many social media channels.
00:29:51.280 You know, activism.
00:29:52.140 We've got to get up.
00:29:52.740 We've got to stand up.
00:29:53.540 Nobody's going to do it for us, and he is doing so.
00:29:56.000 I appreciate that.
00:29:57.220 And with more thought and everything than the opponents are pointing out.
00:30:00.080 You know, they've been hysteric.
00:30:01.680 But again, teachers, the unions, anyways, hate accountability.
00:30:05.640 They hate measures.
00:30:06.140 that's part of why they fight so hard against standardized testing for example of students
00:30:11.300 now I'm just going to digress for a minute on that standardized testing thing I understand teachers
00:30:17.060 you know students learn different ways there's some students are brilliant mechanically or
00:30:21.760 musically or artistically and won't rank well on standardized testing there's students in different
00:30:26.080 regions that might have English as a second language and they're going to rank more poorly
00:30:29.600 on standardized testing but you can account for all that in the statistics what the teachers fear
00:30:35.220 though, is if you see a spike in a school or a particular classroom or an individual teacher
00:30:40.520 who is doing a crappy job, that's what they're afraid of. Look, with any job, when it's that
00:30:45.400 important, and teaching is very important, and they're very, very well compensated for it,
00:30:49.560 you should measure performance. You can't let a crappy teacher off the hook that long,
00:30:54.420 but they don't like that and they fight it. All right, I see there's been a sub-discussion going 0.88
00:30:58.620 on ever since I started my opening when talking about hands-off Alberta oil. I know we have a
00:31:03.700 trollish fellow out there putting on a bunch of baloney. Yes, constitutionally, it is Alberta's 0.94
00:31:09.980 oil. Natural resources are provincial jurisdiction. That's in the constitution. You can
00:31:16.900 blather all you like about it. It was 1930 when that was established and given to the provinces.
00:31:23.140 So that's not even under discussion. But we're getting to mineral rights and who owns it under
00:31:28.680 the ground. And yeah, Alberta is quite different than the states. As Mr. Thomas, one of the
00:31:32.120 commenters pointing out, yeah, you know, 80% or more is owned by the crown, actually, the mineral
00:31:36.340 rights, and only a minority of it is freehold rights. Whereas in the United States, usually the
00:31:41.360 mineral rights are privately owned. But the thing to keep in mind, I did a lot of work in the oil
00:31:47.180 field in the United States. Very often, if not these days, most often, the landowner doesn't
00:31:52.380 necessarily own the minerals under them. It could be a company or a different landowner or all sorts
00:31:58.260 things that now own those mineral rights. It might have been sold prior to the current land
00:32:02.080 owner owning it or things like that. The subsurface rights are a different thing.
00:32:07.680 I remember working up in upstate New York, 15, 16 years ago. And that was when I first started
00:32:15.060 doing some American work when I was down there. So man, maybe closer to 20 years ago. Man, I'm
00:32:19.040 getting old. And in Canada, see I was surveying ahead of seismic projects. So in Canada, we would
00:32:27.800 pay the landowners a lot of money to get on there we'd have to pay crop damages access and so on
00:32:33.100 which is fair enough we're taking up room on their land and everything and causing some damages they
00:32:36.720 should be compensated for it do a seismic project on it now if oil and gas was found the wells will
00:32:43.520 be drilled on that land and that landowner doesn't own the oil and gas underneath they again they
00:32:47.580 would be paid for the lease road access for damages and an ongoing lease and things like
00:32:52.100 that but if that oil well produces a thousand barrels a day or one barrel a day it doesn't
00:32:57.420 make a difference to what the landowner gets. They're just getting that lease access. The deal
00:33:02.460 we'd have in upstate New York, we were paying them diddly squat to go on their land and do
00:33:07.000 the seismic work, but they would get a royalty off the oil or gas if it was found and a well
00:33:12.980 was producing, which really incentivized the landowner to want us to get on there and find
00:33:19.460 something. Because if there was a high producing well on their land, they could make out really,
00:33:23.880 really well. That's why you see, you know, the old, if we're going all the way back to Beverly
00:33:26.960 Hillbillies, you know, the premise of that old sitcom from the 60s, a guy finds an oil deposit
00:33:32.820 on his land, turns from a hillbilly to a very, very rich man because the oil belongs to him and
00:33:38.260 it's getting produced on his behalf. That's not the way it tends to work in Canada. And again,
00:33:44.740 in the United States, it depends on who owns the oil rights on that particular land. But there are
00:33:48.780 different ways uh you know of working on production and things like that the bottom line is though
00:33:56.720 it's provincial it is not the place of the federal government to tell us how we can produce or what 0.99
00:34:02.620 we're going to do and uh so on i'm gonna block the troll now because he's just being an idiot 0.98
00:34:08.260 and uh you know he obviously doesn't understand anything about what uh the canadian system is 0.97
00:34:13.240 about but you know that's the live comments we get all sorts of things we it still brought about
00:34:16.660 some interesting discussion, even if he didn't have any good points to make. So yeah, as Dave
00:34:22.660 was pointing out, all sorts of things. This trade war is going on. It's ugly. Some people got wound
00:34:29.300 up at me the other day, but something that makes it very difficult is it's hard to believe anything
00:34:34.180 that comes out of Trump either. I know some people really like Donald Trump, and I'm sure most of you
00:34:39.140 already know I'm not a big fan of his. He's not the worst by any means. I certainly wouldn't want
00:34:44.780 You see a Democrat or Joe Biden or anybody like that in there, or Kamala Harris.
00:34:49.840 But at the same time, negotiating with a guy like him, I mean, come on.
00:34:53.280 Trump just makes stuff up as he goes all the time.
00:34:55.600 But so does Carney.
00:34:57.300 You know, we can't forget his lying on the Gordie Howe Bridge thing.
00:35:00.900 So we as citizens, we're watching this trade war where all of us get stuck paying the bills on this.
00:35:07.980 This impacts us.
00:35:08.780 This puts people out of work up here.
00:35:10.840 This really messes with things.
00:35:12.680 and they won't tell us the actual details of what fell apart.
00:35:16.600 We get rumours and bits and pieces and I can't believe what's coming out of the Prime Minister's mouth.
00:35:22.920 So that's a problem. It's really a problem.
00:35:27.120 And it makes us in a pretty vulnerable way.
00:35:31.120 I don't have faith in Central Canada.
00:35:33.460 We're seeing right now, you know, their priority is Central Canada.
00:35:37.980 They don't care about Alberta's resources and Alberta's prosperity.
00:35:45.640 And we end up, sorry, the trolls are out in force today.
00:35:51.340 And we get sacrificed for central Canadian interests.
00:35:55.740 As some others were pointing out with supply management, that rotten Soviet-style policy that benefits Quebec.
00:36:02.100 And we've taken so much grief over trade for so many years for that policy that doesn't just screw us on trade.
00:36:07.620 It screws Canadian consumers.
00:36:10.980 Yet we're hanging on to it because of political reasons, because of fear of upsetting Quebec.
00:36:15.880 But they don't think twice about perhaps putting Alberta's oil up.
00:36:19.100 The only thing I'm surprised and happily so for is Carney has not been all that eager to talk about using Alberta's oil as a tool.
00:36:29.200 Though it sounds like he might have done so with the Keystone Pipeline negotiations.
00:36:31.720 Again, we're getting bits and pieces of this. 0.99
00:36:33.360 uh but you know morons like doug ford is sure going on about it he's more than happy to throw 0.99
00:36:39.720 alberta under the bus to try and protect the industries in ontario that are a mess because 0.99
00:36:44.340 he got in bed with justin trudeau and played snuggle bunnies rather than looking economically
00:36:47.880 brightly on his future um so far carney hasn't put it on but who else is popping out of the
00:36:55.300 woodworks oh there's jason kenny and rachel notley yeah you know dried up political has-beens now
00:37:02.000 holding hands and posing and saying, we want to use Alberta's oil as a tool to try and fight
00:37:08.180 against the big bad Americans as well. What the hell is going on? Again, some area to be happy 0.89
00:37:13.920 for. So far, Premier Smith has been consistent and saying, no, our oil is not on the table.
00:37:20.480 It's not an option. But how long can this battle go? Because there are things that the government
00:37:26.180 can jurisdictionally do.
00:37:32.420 They can put an export tax, they can put a tax on the oil
00:37:35.700 if we're trying to get it across the border.
00:37:37.220 And if it's our main export going across there, we are hooped.
00:37:42.300 That is what Pierre Trudeau did long ago.
00:37:45.900 He put a tariff on Canadian oil going out
00:37:48.400 and then forced Alberta to sell at a discount to the rest of the country
00:37:51.820 when the prices went high.
00:37:53.300 And look what happened.
00:37:54.220 It was a disaster.
00:37:56.180 Hopefully Carney doesn't go that way.
00:37:58.600 And so far, Premier Smith hasn't shown an interest in supporting that.
00:38:03.420 Again, she's not taking the independence option, you know, where I'm at and would like to see.
00:38:07.860 But, you know, she's at least not saying, no, we're going to give it over.
00:38:12.560 Let's look a little farther west.
00:38:13.720 Something I can't stress strongly enough.
00:38:15.900 You really got to follow Alex Zoltan, our BC main reporter out there.
00:38:21.260 He went undercover speaking to teachers, and he was looking at the anti-racial training that they went through or they go through over there, and he's written a series of articles on that.
00:38:29.800 It's insane what the teachers' union teaches them over there.
00:38:34.000 But he's also trying to cover the insane situation of conservative politics in B.C.
00:38:40.980 I mean, what a mess.
00:38:42.360 David Eby is terrible.
00:38:43.880 He's flying to the bottom in the polls out there, which, you know, is a good thing to see.
00:38:48.280 the conservatives kind of got it together and changed leaders and went ahead but now there
00:38:54.400 seems to be a purge going on and it's just i i can't keep up with it so i mean in the last uh
00:39:00.420 what is it 12 days four of the conservative members have walked out of uh finley the new
00:39:06.020 conservative leaders caucus like they're bleeding supporters nobody can infight better than
00:39:11.160 conservatives i tell you that's an art form conservatives have really gotten down to a fine
00:39:16.220 thing. So yes, this was Teresa Watt, I guess, is the latest one who has left the conservative
00:39:23.600 caucus. So it's like David Eby and the NDP are trying their hardest to lose the next election,
00:39:30.640 but the BC conservatives just won't let them. Like, they're just determined to shoot themselves
00:39:36.880 in the feet and keep fighting. And if you want to follow that, though, the complexities, follow
00:39:41.560 Alex Zoltan on the, you know, on his X profile. He puts a lot of things out. Of course, westernstandard.news
00:39:47.780 and get the full stories he writes. It's the best BC, I think, political coverage you're going to
00:39:52.540 be able to find out there. We've been very lucky, you know, to have him out there in BC covering all
00:39:56.820 this stuff. He's been doing a great job with it. Now, let's come back to Alberta. Speaking of
00:40:01.740 worn-out Hasbians who don't have Alberta's interest in mind, the Hednenshi, former mayor 1.00
00:40:07.140 of calgary he's now demanding that the referendum this fall be outright canceled months of campaigning 1.00
00:40:14.580 over you know a million and some fundraise probably a couple million if if uh if lukasik
00:40:21.120 was ever forced to report uh thousands of volunteers working moving towards these things
00:40:26.960 elections alberta uh even if not efficiently has been working on getting things together for this
00:40:32.420 referendum. And the head, Nancy thinks we should just pull the plug on the thing right now.
00:40:36.680 Kiss my ass in the head. You know, it seems to be the term of the week. I want to put that out 1.00
00:40:39.840 there. What do you think? Who do you think you are? You're the leader of the opposition. This
00:40:44.620 is a democratic exercise. This is a legal exercise. This is under elections, Alberta.
00:40:50.300 That's like an opposition member saying, oh, look, my party's polling in the toilet and the polls.
00:40:55.260 Thus, let's just stop the election until my party does better. We don't cancel a referendum halfway
00:41:02.080 way through a campaign because you don't like where it's going. Who the hell do you think you 0.98
00:41:07.520 are? Get out there, campaign, galvanize your supporters, and have the options you don't like 0.99
00:41:14.740 voted down. That's how democracy works. I know for socialists and self-serving knobs like you,
00:41:19.440 that's a little too hard to understand. But we don't cancel democratic exercises just because
00:41:25.500 the political weather changed over a trade war. You don't stop a referendum. And look at how
00:41:31.420 irresponsible that is. Thankfully, Albertans aren't as militant as Quebecers are, or have been.
00:41:39.480 Could you imagine what would happen if Quebec had had one of its referendums cancelled? Referenda,
00:41:45.840 that's the weird plural with it, sorry. Cancelled, though, halfway through. You know, if, say, in 1995,
00:41:50.880 they got close and they saw that the polls were getting too close, and somehow the federal
00:41:54.620 government intervened or somebody said, no, you're not allowed to have it, we're cancelling it.
00:41:57.720 BFLQ would come back. I mean, some extremists on the fringe of that movement, if you take away the
00:42:04.900 democratic ability to make change, people will seek non-democratic ways to make change. And
00:42:10.660 that's not good, and none of us want to go there. So quit being an idiot, Nenshi. Think a little 1.00
00:42:15.520 harder, and don't call for stupid things like that. Man, what a piece of work that guy is. 1.00
00:42:22.520 Looking at other things with this trade war going on.
00:42:25.640 Retaliatory tariffs.
00:42:26.800 Tariffs. 1.00
00:42:27.700 Tariffs are stupid. 1.00
00:42:29.180 All right? 1.00
00:42:29.500 They're stupid. 1.00
00:42:30.220 They're stupid when Trump puts them on. 1.00
00:42:32.100 They're stupid when Canada puts them on. 1.00
00:42:34.160 And they're stupid when each country uses them as weapons to fight each other. 1.00
00:42:38.200 Because you know what happens? 1.00
00:42:39.360 We pay for them.
00:42:40.500 The taxpayers, the citizens, the consumers.
00:42:42.940 We always pay that bill.
00:42:45.240 It just harms us.
00:42:47.120 It doesn't help anything.
00:42:49.040 It doesn't help the states when Trump puts those on.
00:42:51.120 And it just raises the prices of their consumer goods.
00:42:54.100 You know, enough economists have covered this.
00:42:56.580 Hayek has been brilliant on this.
00:43:01.260 Protectionism and tariffs only hurts your own country.
00:43:04.440 But here we go.
00:43:05.600 And then, so all the same, that's where Carney's going.
00:43:09.820 So we should put more counter tariffs up.
00:43:11.560 Oh, good. 0.99
00:43:11.880 Let's tax ourselves more to teach them a lesson.
00:43:15.280 And now we're hearing, though, that Canadians have to wait until the fall budget update to learn how much these tariffs will cost.
00:43:21.120 households and businesses. So at least they're acknowledging, yeah, it's going to cost us guys
00:43:24.180 a lot. And they say, but don't worry, we'll have a $7.5 billion aid package to help you guys out
00:43:31.960 with these costs. In other words, we're going to put it on the credit cards. We're going to borrow
00:43:35.260 more money to try and ease the pain caused by taxing us more in this stupid trade war. But 0.99
00:43:41.440 then they won't tell us until the budget in fall, deep into the season, how much exactly they think
00:43:46.660 it might cost us. Look, you could put it in chat GTP and figure out some general estimates on how
00:43:51.060 much these tariffs would cost. You could definitely find out they don't want us to talk about it
00:43:55.060 because it's stupid. That's why. But this is where our politics are sitting today. Now let's see 1.00
00:44:04.320 another odd one. Yeah, religious statistics in England. Think of this one. Suggest many prisoners
00:44:10.660 are being forced to convert to Islam by extremist gangs. Yeah, there's so many Islamists ending up
00:44:16.580 in the uh uk prisons that it's actually uh they've been now muscling in on the inmates and converting
00:44:22.060 them to islam i mean there's a lot of things prisoners have been known to be forced into in
00:44:27.180 prison that you don't like to imagine and think of that involve biting pillows and stuff but 0.76
00:44:30.500 converting the islam is a new one but it just shows also that slow takeover of things and 0.96
00:44:34.680 they're not taking over the good folks guys they're taking over the prisms the uh islamic uh 0.86
00:44:39.900 invasion is problematic guys so apparently one in five uh uh muslims in in prison are white 0.81
00:44:49.260 uh whereas uh in the general population there's only a less than six percent of muslims are 0.97
00:44:55.580 white but that's due to this weird prison conversion system they got going on they're 0.93
00:45:00.140 picking the best and brightest of folks to try and bring over to the uh love of muhammad peace
00:45:04.620 be upon him but uh well it's a bizarre world and these are crazy strange times okay i've
00:45:10.700 run the clock out guys today thank you very much for participating and tuning in and for the mostly
00:45:17.980 good conversation in the uh comment scroll it's always good to see it going back and forth i do
00:45:22.780 like to see that happening there even if occasionally some of the trolls get through
00:45:26.700 be sure to tune into the pipeline tonight like share do all of that good stuff to help us spread
00:45:31.260 the word and get to more folks out there and tune in a week from today at this time and we'll do it
00:45:36.220 all again with a whole new set of issues. So thanks again. We'll see you on Wednesday.
00:46:01.260 You
