00:00:00.000 Hello, I'm Dave Naylor, the news editor of the Western Standard.
00:00:03.980 And here's some of the stories we're working on at the moment.
00:00:07.320 You have to feel sorry for a man in Italy.
00:00:10.160 Within 12 to 24 hours, he was testing positive for not only COVID, but also monkeypox.
00:00:18.260 And that wasn't the end of his problems there.
00:00:20.680 He was also diagnosed with HIV the very same day.
00:00:24.800 You have to feel sorry for the guy.
00:00:26.260 Okay. We've got an interview with People's Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier.
00:00:31.980 He's responding to criticism from the Jean Charest camp that the PPC is not really a conservative party.
00:00:38.460 They're more far right.
00:00:40.320 Well, Mr. Bernier wants to disagree with the Charest campaign and says, in fact, they are conservatives.
00:00:46.240 The only true conservatives.
00:00:48.160 We've got a column up there from our new opinion editor, Nigel Hannaford.
00:00:54.080 He pipes in with the controversy going on with Germany begging Canada for natural gas and Trudeau basically saying no.
00:01:04.500 So Trudeau is not only screwing over a close ally, but also his favorite province, Alberta.
00:01:09.520 Speaking of the Liberals, everybody's favorite Environment Minister, Stéphane Guilbeau, has written a nasty letter to Saskatchewan government officials,
00:01:20.080 including Premier Scott Moe, who last week were fairly upset when they found federal environmental inspectors
00:01:29.340 had gone on to a farmer's land to do some water testing without even asking permission.
00:01:35.020 And Mr. Moe was not very happy that they were trespassing.
00:01:38.780 And Stephen Guilbeau says it's all misinformation and not true.
00:01:44.600 We've got a little video out of Australia on unvaccinated teachers.
00:01:49.660 They're going to have their pay cut as a punishment for not getting the COVID vaccine.
00:01:54.560 That's it for now. For the Western Standard, I'm Dave Naylor.
