00:00:00.000 So I'm going to throw it over to Victoria now, and she'll just touch on a little bit more about that.
00:00:07.320 Hi, Jennifer. I really want to thank you for meeting with us today and taking the time to try to signal that this is more of a priority for you.
00:00:15.440 Absolutely. Delighted to meet with you all.
00:00:17.400 Yeah, thanks for having us.
00:00:19.160 Before I would ever say, though, that this was a productive meeting and be counted to the list of contacts that you've reached out to in the queer community, I have to know a few things of where you sit.
00:00:30.000 Will you state on the record right now that trans women are women?
00:00:36.240 I've never been asked that before.
00:00:38.520 Will you say that on the record right now?
00:00:41.220 No, I want to have some time to think on that.
00:00:43.700 Okay, well, that's me. Have a great day.
00:00:47.020 And I will be speaking out against this meeting because you are clearly not ready to have this.
00:00:51.500 So I'm not going to be added to the list of meetings that you are going to have with people where you say, well, I met this person and this person.
00:00:57.640 And because, no, no, no, no, you can't say I've had these consultations and use that as justification for you to work your way back into caucus, which is why we know you're really here.
00:01:08.300 This only happens.
00:01:10.080 This meeting is only happening because you're on Twitter, in the Twittersphere, and people are debating whether or not you're going to be led back into caucus.
00:01:17.580 And Premier Smith is debating that.
00:01:20.320 And so you need to do some PR work.
00:01:22.600 And I'm not going to be your band-aid.
00:01:24.060 I'm not going to be your pinkwashing.
00:01:25.740 Unless you can tell me right now that you believe that I, as a trans woman, right now, right here, am a woman, then we don't have a lot to work on here.
00:01:35.980 You want to talk about listening to the community?
00:01:37.460 If you can't start with that basic foundational principle that we are who we say we are in our bones, then I don't think we're on the same page for working forward.
00:01:48.620 So I'll give you one last chance.
00:01:51.020 Are trans women women? 1.00
00:01:52.360 Will you say that on the record right now?
00:01:54.300 Victoria, we can disagree on things.
00:01:56.520 Not on that.
00:01:57.360 Not on my identity.
00:01:58.620 No, no, no, no.
00:01:59.460 Not on that.
00:01:59.900 And I can still care about you, even if we disagree.
00:02:02.200 Wonderful.
00:02:02.820 But I will be speaking out against this meeting 100% if you can't say that right now.
00:02:07.800 Because I'm not going to have you add my name to the list of meetings that you've had to show that you're, quote, doing the work.
00:02:13.020 Because you're not doing the work.
00:02:14.580 The work is the inner work.
00:02:16.160 You're learning the outer work.
00:02:17.520 You're learning what you're allowed to say in public and what you're not.
00:02:20.000 So you don't get in the situation again.
00:02:21.640 Because you got caught saying what you really thought.
00:02:24.400 And you did think that.
00:02:25.780 But you haven't shown that you've changed.
00:02:27.820 Because if you can't respect us, then how can I work with you?
00:02:33.040 If you don't believe that I am a woman sitting right here, right now, how on earth are you saying that you're working with me?
00:02:41.020 What work have you done then if you can't start with, yes, Victoria, you are a woman?
00:02:48.280 Can we disagree and still respect each other?
00:02:50.680 No.
00:02:51.460 Goodbye.
00:02:51.820 Goodbye.
00:02:52.120 Goodbye.
