00:00:00.000 Mr. Speaker, the SAS Party's new mantra is build and protect after they realized there
00:00:08.880 wasn't any growth and it wasn't working for anyone. Their net zero by 2050 agenda definitely
00:00:15.240 isn't build and protect. It's more like wreck and neglect. The Saskatchewan people are blessed
00:00:23.620 with a province rich in God-given natural resources, sitting on a gold mine of affordable
00:00:29.320 and reliable energy, not just for Saskatchewan, but for all our neighbours as well. Yet this
00:00:36.200 Saskatchewan Party government wants to shut down coal, shut down natural gas and is dumping
00:00:44.600 billions into failed green projects. Can this government find their feet, stand before this
00:00:51.500 assembly and the Saskatchewan people, and reject this destructive policy of net zero by 2050?
00:00:58.380 Thank you very much, Mr. Speaker. I just want to perhaps correct the member opposite. It's
00:01:10.340 really the government of Canada, the Liberal government, supported by the NDP, Mr. Speaker,
00:01:15.260 who want to shut down coal, who want to shut down natural gas, Mr. Speaker, and who want
00:01:22.100 to put this province in a position where we saw just a couple of months ago in Alberta where we
00:01:27.100 frankly had to have all of the above solution, Mr. Speaker, to help out our neighbours to the West
00:01:32.800 who had an emergency situation, Mr. Speaker, where people nearly didn't have heat to heat their homes
00:01:38.280 in the middle of the wintertime, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, the member opposite is correct in one 0.84
00:01:43.000 thing. We are abundantly blessed with resources in this province, Mr. Speaker, and that's why we're
00:01:47.980 working so hard to be a part of the nuclear fuel cycle, Mr. Speaker. That's why when you look at
00:01:53.160 companies like Cameco and Arano, Mr. Speaker, we sit on the second largest reserve of uranium in the
00:01:58.740 world, Mr. Speaker. That's why when we go to conferences like COP and we go to conferences
00:02:03.060 like the Global Nuclear Expo, Mr. Speaker, the eyes of the world are on Saskatchewan.
00:02:09.760 I recognize the member from Saskatchewan River.
00:02:12.160 Mr. Speaker, I am tired of the misdirection and the double-speak from the Sask Party government.
00:02:21.400 The member from Cypress Hill stood up and led us to believe that the Sask Party government is pro-coal
00:02:26.920 and pro-natural gas. Mr. Speaker, this government's stated objective in their published documents
00:02:33.800 is to kill, to kill our coal and natural gas with net zero by 2050 and replace it with wind
00:02:42.140 solar, which they know won't work. Are they just plain ignorant? Or are they straight-up gaslighting 0.99
00:02:52.380 and lying to the public about their agenda?
00:03:00.180 I ask the member from Saskatchewan River to withdraw and apologize for an inflammatory and unparallementary
00:03:07.360 language.
00:03:09.220 I will not apologize for this.
00:03:11.940 I ask the member one more time to withdraw and apologize.
00:03:18.820 I will not apologize for their lying.
00:03:25.120 One last time. Will the member withdraw and apologize?
00:03:36.620 Ms. Nadine Wilson, I hereby name you for disregarding the authority of the chair.
00:03:42.420 Pursuant to Rule 57-2, the member is suspended from the service of the assembly for the remainder
00:03:48.580 of the sitting day. I ask the Sergeant Orange to remove the member.
00:03:52.000 You don't want to hold it.
