The Long Gun Registry, and it's returned through a backdoor method,
00:00:03.620
and the Liberal government has assigned their top liar,
00:00:06.760
Public Safety Minister Marco Mendocino, to promote it.
00:00:11.120
So, just to give some background on this minister,
00:00:13.720
when he was questioned in committee meetings on the invocation of the Emergencies Act last February,
00:00:23.360
Mendocino claimed there was evidence of potential violence, insurrection,
00:00:26.640
and conspiracy of foreign funding for the trucker's convoy that justified suspending civil rights with the Emergencies Act.
00:00:35.460
There was a claim made that convoy participants were responsible for an attempted arson incident in Ottawa.
00:00:42.480
This claim was completely disproven through a police investigation,
00:00:45.700
and even after that was disproven, despite the proof being presented,
00:00:49.260
Mendocino continued his strategy of lies when he told a commons committee at the end of April
00:00:53.520
that the arson attempt was part of the reason they justified the invocation of the act.
00:00:58.500
A point of order was called, but it doesn't really matter.
00:01:00.880
Mendocino lied, and it's been successfully repeated again and recorded.
00:01:06.020
Mendocino claimed in February that they had evidence of a large amount of foreign funding for the protests.
00:01:11.060
It was found that he was referring to a CBC story on it that had been retracted because it was BS.
00:01:16.440
And then he claimed no less than 11 lies in the House of Commons as he was asked and kept saying
00:01:25.020
that the police had requested the implementation of the Emergencies Act.
00:01:28.940
RCMP Commissioner Brenda Luckey contradicted this claim.
00:01:32.140
She explained the police never offer such advice.
00:01:38.640
This latest lie from Mendocino is his most offensive.
00:01:41.700
So when defending the new liberal long gun registry, Mendocino said that the previous liberal government
00:01:46.920
long gun registry aided police in apprehending Mark Lapine after the Montreal Massacre.
00:01:52.600
Now, to begin with, Lapine blew his wretched evil brains out after he slaughtered the 14 innocent women.
00:01:59.540
The police didn't need any help in apprehending him.
00:02:02.560
Secondly, the gun registry didn't even exist until 1995.
00:02:10.000
Mendocino simply pulled the statement out of his ass.
00:02:12.920
And he used one of the worst tragedies in Canadian history in order to do it.
00:02:20.380
He's been lying chronically for months, years probably, in his career.
00:02:29.560
You know, the liberals have been trying to take firearms away from law-abiding citizens for decades.
00:02:33.380
The long gun registry from the 1990s was implemented by the Chrétien government and Justice Minister Alan Rock.
00:02:39.880
It was an expensive, divisive debacle, and it never had any impact on crime prevention.
00:02:44.980
And despite liberal claims at that time, again, they've got a long history of lies,
00:02:49.140
that the registry would cost, oh, about $100 million.
00:02:51.400
Costs ballooned over $2 billion by the time the program was scrapped.
00:02:55.900
The system was terribly organized and inefficient.
00:02:59.280
It's estimated at some points that they never managed to register more than 60% of the long guns in Canada,
00:03:03.620
even though they were at it for, what, over 10 years, I believe,
00:03:09.240
The records in the registry were supposed to be destroyed, but they likely never were.
00:03:13.440
It was evident that the RCMP were using old registry records when they smashed into multiple homes
00:03:17.940
during the 2013 floods in High River and stole people's firearms.
00:03:21.620
It was clear that they'd been targeting specific households in their searches,
00:03:24.400
and it's rather tough to do that without some kind of list of where these firearms are.
00:03:28.820
When asked about the issue some years ago, Justin Trudeau said he would never enact another long gun registry.
00:03:34.900
Well, guess what? He lied. The registry's back.
00:03:38.160
And the only difference is they've dumped the onus on firearm owners and dealers.
00:03:42.100
Even if you transfer a firearm to a relative, you're going to be forced to contact the RCMP
00:03:45.620
and register the transaction along with personal information about yourself and the person you transfer to,
00:03:50.140
and, of course, the serial number of the firearm.
00:03:52.980
All private dealers, they're going to be obligated to record any transactions in full detail
00:03:57.320
with the personal information of the person buying it,
00:03:59.360
and they'll be obligated to provide that information to police at request any time,
00:04:06.680
The liberals are saying this isn't a registry. What else is it?
00:04:10.460
And it's going to be as expensive and ineffective as the last one,
00:04:16.440
We can see this time the expense is all going to be put on the private dealers.
00:04:19.680
It's going to be put on the individuals, and it still will be ineffective.
00:04:26.720
Why are they so hell-bent on registering firearms?
00:04:31.580
You can't effectively take away people's property unless you know who has it and where it is.
00:04:37.840
When the goal is to disarm all law-abiding citizens, a registry is the way you have to go.
00:04:43.060
Rest assured, if and when the government feels confident they've registered enough long guns,
00:04:51.340
And this happened in Australia already, by the way.
00:04:54.900
And the liberals will deny this when we ask them about it.
00:04:57.980
But did I mention they have something of a propensity for lying?
00:05:01.660
Legally owned long guns barely make a statistical blip
00:05:06.460
The vast majority of violent firearm crimes are committed with handguns
00:05:10.300
that have been stolen or are smuggled across the border.
00:05:13.240
The liberal government in Canada is an ideologically driven authoritarian regime.
00:05:19.960
Of course they don't like seeing citizens armed.
00:05:21.500
Not that there's some revolution pending, they just don't like it.
00:05:24.160
The only way to stop these guys is going to be to run them out of office.
00:05:29.120
because so many Central Canadian voters appear to like being lied to.
00:05:33.160
That leaves the independence option as the last one on the table for the West.
00:05:36.100
But in the meantime, better iron your garden, guys.
