00:00:00.000 Right now, Canada, I mean, we're facing social and economic challenges on every front.
00:00:05.020 And let's just say it outright.
00:00:06.820 Mass immigration is one of the prime culprits behind it.
00:00:09.360 People try to obfuscate and everything and say, oh, no, but that's just one thing.
00:00:12.420 There's many others.
00:00:12.900 Yes, there are.
00:00:13.900 But the big one, the big one right now is mass immigration.
00:00:16.760 We have 1.3 million people entered Canada just in 2023.
00:00:22.320 Let's say, you know, access to housing has hit crisis levels.
00:00:26.000 Health care and educational institutions are bursting at the seams.
00:00:29.080 Inflation, it's slamming every type of consumer good.
00:00:31.900 And we've got ethnic-based divisions and conflicts on the rise throughout the country.
00:00:35.860 You don't need to be an economist or a sociologist to realize that, sure, there's no magic bullet to address these challenges.
00:00:43.420 But we can ease the immediate pressures by tapping the brakes on mass immigration.
00:00:47.480 This isn't a matter of selfishness or intolerance.
00:00:49.860 It's logistics.
00:00:51.060 We just can't sustain these numbers.
00:00:53.640 Unfortunately, the turtle government has no interest in curbing these immigration levels.
00:00:58.460 Much less cutting them.
00:01:00.280 In fact, they keep doubling down.
00:01:02.160 Minister of Immigration Mark Miller, he just announced a plan to quintuple the number of Gazan immigrants coming into Canada.
00:01:08.920 Yeah, five times as many.
00:01:11.000 In fact, he's going to say that they could bring the families.
00:01:13.420 So it could be even higher than that.
00:01:14.660 Now, we've got protests and anti-Semitic violence erupting around the nation.
00:01:18.680 And why on earth do we want to import thousands more people from the world's biggest hotbed of violent anti-Jewish hatred?
00:01:25.640 There's several Arab nations right near Gaza that could take in Gazan refugees if they wanted to,
00:01:31.500 where they presumably would be able to culturally integrate more comfortably than they do within Canada.
00:01:35.820 Is it unreasonable to politely ask those nations to step up instead of Canada?
00:01:40.780 The Liberal government is now pushing legislation that's going to allow expats to automatically pass on their citizenship to children,
00:01:47.900 even if the kids have never set foot in Canada.
00:01:50.940 Now, you might remember the Lebanese issue years ago, maybe not,
00:01:53.440 but Canada had a problem with citizens of convenience.
00:01:55.960 They live abroad, but just pop back occasionally to drain the country of health care services and other such things.
00:02:01.120 Or if war breaks out, they'll come here and hide, but then they go back.
00:02:05.160 It's something of a parasitic approach to citizenship.
00:02:07.480 And that policy hole was closed years ago, while the Trudeau government wants to open it back up.
00:02:11.800 So just think how easy it'll be to find a doctor, it's so easy already,
00:02:15.560 when the Canadian system is now on the hook to provide free care for thousands and thousands more kids born overseas who've never even been in Canada.
00:02:23.040 Then we've got activists pushing for a misguided open border policy.
00:02:25.980 They've been openly demanding, not asking, demanding, that Canada starts giving permanent resident status to illegal immigrants.
00:02:33.280 Not talking about all immigrants, illegal immigrants.
00:02:35.400 That is why in 2019, we as a CLC and our affiliated unions launched a small pilot to give permanent residency to undocumented workers in the greater Toronto area.
00:02:46.680 A broad regularization program means that people can now contribute to the fullest potential to Canada's economic and social future.
00:02:54.960 We, the Canadian Labour Congress, call on the government to do what is right.
00:03:00.160 Bring in regularization now.
00:03:02.720 Apparently they don't think the 1.3 million who did legally enter a year are enough.
00:03:07.780 These activists feel emboldened enough through the years of Trudeau's permissive immigration policies.
00:03:12.560 They think they're going to get away with it.
00:03:14.140 We can't dismiss their demands.
00:03:15.640 It's as ridiculous as they sound.
00:03:17.300 The Liberals might consider acquiescing to them.
00:03:19.180 And just think of the volume and quality of new Canadians that we could gain once word gets out that all they have to do is step foot in the country, whether legally or not, and they'll just get full permanent resident status.
00:03:29.800 It's abundantly clear that the Trudeau Liberals are desperately putting their political well-being ahead of the needs of Canadians.
00:03:36.300 The only positive economic indicator the government can point to right now is growth in the gross GDP.
00:03:42.000 And that's how they can claim the nation hasn't officially hit a recession.
00:03:45.540 The only reason the GDP, though, has been growing is due to mass immigration, which creates activity and causes a housing boom.
00:03:51.820 But the GDP per capita for Canadians has been plummeting due to this.
00:03:55.820 And the entire country is getting poorer by the day as more people are splitting an economic pie that isn't growing as fast as the population is.
00:04:02.620 Of even more concern, though, and this is the bigger one, you know, than the Liberal obsession with mass immigration, is the deftly silence from Conservatives on the issue.
00:04:10.620 If there's going to be any relief for Canadians to look forward to from this current terrible policy, it's expected to come from an incoming Conservative government.
00:04:17.580 But if the Conservatives won't even talk about the issue today, will they find the courage to tackle the issue tomorrow?
00:04:23.060 I mean, every elected Conservative politician lives in dread of being called a racist.
00:04:27.020 Critical discussion of immigration issues is sure to draw that label, even if race has nothing to do with it.
00:04:31.820 That's, I think, part of the reluctance on the part of Polyev's government to talk about it.
00:04:35.700 But I got some bad news for the Conservative Party of Canada, though.
00:04:38.500 They're going to be called racist no matter what they do.
00:04:40.880 The Trudeau government is cornered and desperate.
00:04:42.680 They'll play the race card without basis or hesitation, even when they've got a comfortable lead.
00:04:48.080 What makes the CPC think that staying silent on political issues will keep the Liberals from accusing them of racism?
00:04:53.120 Guess what? The Liberals are also going to accuse them of wanting to ban abortion,
00:04:56.000 wanting to roll back marriage rights for LGBTQ people, and wanting to steal candy from babies.
00:05:00.760 That's the bedrock of every contemporary Liberal campaign technique.
00:05:05.080 Don't worry about trying to pressure Liberal MPs to see reason on the immigration issue.
00:05:08.540 They never will. That ship sailed.
00:05:10.900 Citizens, though, must put pressure on the Conservatives on this issue, and the sooner the better.
00:05:15.340 If they keep taking the path of what they see as the least resistance when it comes to immigration,
00:05:19.460 the mass influx of people coming into Canada will continue unabated, even if we change governments.
00:05:24.420 And at the rate it's going, it's going to crush this nation for generations to come.
00:05:27.700 Thank you.
00:05:28.700 Thank you.
