00:00:00.000 It reminds me going back to 1917 when Sir Thomas White, the finance minister at the time,
00:00:05.680 said that the Income War Tax Act was only going to be temporary.
00:00:10.280 Then he told that to everybody in Canada.
00:00:13.020 Then he went into Parliament and he said that it was going to be here for all time.
00:00:17.280 This is what these people in government do is they mischaracterize and misrepresent not only your rights and freedoms,
00:00:25.020 but they mischaracterize the legislation that they're trying to put in or have put into place.
00:00:30.460 Fortunately, the legislation here in BC, though it hasn't been challenged, expires in July of next year.
00:00:37.660 But it's important to recognize that that right of protest cannot be taken away.
00:00:45.400 If it could be taken away, then BC would have passed a statute that says nobody can come within 60 feet who is doing a protest of a school,
00:00:55.820 and they would have left it at that.
00:00:57.260 No matter what the results were, whether you were impeding people from coming and going or intimidating people, it wouldn't have mattered.
00:01:04.360 They would have just unilaterally blanketed everybody in BC and said,
00:01:08.560 you cannot protest in front of a school or a hospital.
00:01:11.720 But they didn't do that.
00:01:13.640 And they didn't do that because they knew they could not do that.
00:01:16.960 Blanket legislation that takes away your right to protest would never, ever withstand a charter challenge, period.
00:01:24.880 It just would never get that far.
00:01:26.340 And the right to protest, of course, is based on freedom of expression and freedom of speech.
00:01:34.060 Majority of times, we don't have the ability to get what we want said and get what we want heard.
00:01:42.660 The media doesn't put it out there.
00:01:44.940 We have a lack of funds to be able to get, let's say, billboards or advertising happening.
00:01:49.880 And, of course, your members of parliament and your MLAs in your province, they won't do anything because they're bought and paid for by the party leader.
00:01:58.580 So as a result, a lot of the activity that we have to take comes about through protest to getting the public aware of what it is we stand for
00:02:08.220 and the information we have that is not available to the public because of what the people in the media and the government are withholding from people, for example.
00:02:18.040 So we need to exercise this right, more appropriately, of freedom, and we need to exercise it much more often than what we're doing right now.
00:02:28.700 They've had a major effect and have scared the heck out of governments all over Canada, especially the truckers' protest.
00:02:38.220 It inspired people around the world.
00:02:41.300 It inspired people in Canada.
00:02:42.980 I find it interesting, Trudeau is coming out publicly in support of all the protesters in China
00:02:49.900 whose videos show we're throwing rocks and bombs and everything else at the police,
00:02:55.660 and yet he won't support the peaceful demonstrators and protesters here in Canada, the truckers' convoy, as opposed to those.
00:03:03.440 Clearly a massive hypocrite that we have in power right now.
00:03:07.480 To I see this in liberate people in Canada, I'm so excited.
00:03:10.160 W all right, up here.
00:03:13.120 I see that as I see the bathroom in Canada, I see that YouTube there, there's one for two
00:03:29.900 different bottles of Florence, where most people make money and Italians send them me obviously
00:03:33.420 to the bottom line.
