02:24:57.000 If you look at what totalitarian societies have done with the use of psychiatric diagnosis, But medically it's a horrendous mess to think that more kids are going to be put on drugs.

02:25:08.000 Just think how many have been put on Prozac and Ritalin now that should have just had a little bit more discipline rather than putting on these mind-altering drugs.

02:25:18.000 And it is a real tragedy that we have deferred to our federal government to act as parents, and that's part of the big problem.

02:25:26.000 That, plus the fact that we as a nation have deferred to the federal government to get control of our schools, and that's why it's part of that ...message as well that the federal government should never have been given the right to run our schools, and yet that's a given right now, and hardly anybody even talks about that, but schools should be local, and if these problems existed, they should be dealt with at the local level.

02:25:49.000 But President Bush is quite proud of his That's right, and he's tremendously expanded.

02:25:59.000 Remember, Ronald Reagan was against the Department of Education, and we worked to try to stop it.

02:26:04.000 And yet now, with the recent vote, he sees this as a mandate for his entitlement programs, whether it's education or medicine, and also an endorsement for everything that we do overseas.

02:26:14.000 Which means that it looks like we can expect a lot more spending, and I think the international markets are responding in a logical fashion.

02:26:23.000 The dollar is getting much weaker.

02:26:24.000 That's why Greenspan came out and told us it's bad fiscal policy, but the Fed's been pushing it.

02:26:29.000 You know, they cause the crisis and then blame us for it.

02:26:31.000 Well, you know, they work together.

02:26:34.000 He's always complaining about what Congress does.

02:26:36.000 But, you know, Congress couldn't spend money they didn't have if they didn't have the Fed there to print the money.

02:26:44.000 I mean, Congress votes to do all the spending and to get... Well, a year ago, you gave a speech here, and it's in one of my documentaries, at McKinney-Ruff's, and you said the dollar's going to implode.

02:26:56.000 Yep, and I'm still hoping I'm wrong on that, but the evidence is showing that the economy is going to slip.

02:31:36.000 That the Federal Reserve System is a scam, that the economy is falling apart, and that now foreign countries are going to start pulling the dollar, dumping the dollar, and now Greenspan is dancing around acting like it's the citizens' fault.

02:31:51.000 What do you see happening, and is there any way to avert this?

02:31:54.000 No, I think the damage has been done, and the only question is whether this will unwind with a panic, and most of the time it ends up as a panic.

02:32:04.000 The foreigners may buy less of our debt, or they may start selling a little bit at a time. 0.97

02:32:10.000 But eventually, some people say, hey, it's moving pretty fast, we have to get rid of it.

02:32:13.000 And then you have a dollar panic, and that will be a very, very serious matter, because that means very high interest rates to rescue the dollar, and it means a lot of inflation for us.

02:32:24.000 At the same time, it would precipitate a very weak economy, probably recession or even depression.

02:32:29.000 Congressman, if I talk to a poor farmer who's immigrated here from Mexico, they know what it means to have a weak currency.

02:32:35.000 I talk to yuppies that drive BMWs at a restaurant and they laugh at me and don't even know what it means and go, Bush says a weak dollar is good!

02:32:44.000 What do you want to say to them?

02:32:45.000 Well, you know, they look at it in a very narrow sense.

02:32:49.000 If the dollar gets weaker, this means that foreigners are more likely to buy our exports because they become cheaper.

02:32:57.000 But that's only temporary because the prices eventually go up.

02:33:01.000 But the principle is, is why wouldn't the world, would anybody ever want a currency they hold, if they hold it in their wallet, in their saving account, to want it to buy less?

02:33:11.000 I think it's a moral issue, an economic issue, I think it's criminal that a government would deliberately encourage Or perform policies that would deliberately take away the value.

02:33:23.000 You always want stable value and steady value of your money.

02:33:27.000 You don't want a government that deliberately debases the money in order to accommodate their deficits that they're running up.

02:33:34.000 Congressman, a year and a half ago I was watching TV and they had Bush and Treasury Secretary Snowe and all of them up there.

02:33:41.000 How good this is and how great this is!

02:33:44.000 I mean, this is massive inflation we're talking about.

02:33:47.000 This is people dumping the government T-bills.

02:33:50.000 This is our huge deficit to the banks not even being financed.

02:33:55.000 See, they believe in their own arrogance that they think they can control this, but the markets eventually, you know, control things.

02:34:02.000 In the early, in the late 70s, it almost Totally got out of control.

02:34:06.000 That is when the dollar was crashing and gold hit $850.

02:34:10.000 Right now, there are trillions of dollars more floating around, so the potential crisis is much worse than what we saw when they had to take interest rates to 21%.

02:34:21.000 The bubble is much larger.

02:34:23.000 That's right.

02:34:24.000 If you look at what's happening in the housing industry and what happened to the dot-coms, it's still built into the stock market.

02:34:31.000 The stock market never made its It's correction, and we're very vulnerable because we pretend to think that we can get wealth out of borrowing and out of printing presses, and that's an illusion.

02:34:43.000 Well, doesn't it also affect the stock market pricing?

02:34:46.000 Because if the dollar's already worth less, then you're going to see an artificial increase in stock prices.

02:34:52.000 But really, the prices are what they were years ago.

02:34:54.000 So in truth, it's a massive devaluation of the stock market.

02:34:57.000 That's right.

02:34:58.000 If your stock stays the same for five years and your dollar's worth 50%, you've lost 50%.

02:35:03.000 So it's an invisible, it becomes an invisible crash.

02:35:06.000 But unfortunately, a lot of times you still lose nominally as well.

02:35:09.000 Well, here's an example.

02:35:10.000 I have an employee in England who I had to basically double their pay.

02:35:13.000 One of my webmasters, my other webmasters are here in the U.S., I had to double his pay because he couldn't live!

02:35:18.000 Yeah, because there is a lot of inflation, and you know, if you look at government statistics, they argue there's no inflation.

02:35:25.000 Now, can you convince the average person there's no inflation when they have to pay medical bills and repair bills and gasoline bills and fuel bills?

02:35:32.000 I mean... And then everything that's shipped by truck or train, they've got to pay that increased energy price.

02:35:38.000 Right, and that's just starting to work through the system, so I think there's a lot of inflation ahead for us.

02:35:44.000 Alright, two final questions for you.

02:35:46.000 Arlen Spector, Pro-abort.

02:35:49.000 Bush has this huge mandate, massive House, massive Senate numbers.

02:35:53.000 And now he's pushing Specter, he's pushing Gonzales, who wrote the memo saying Bush is above the law and torture's good.

02:36:00.000 I'm seeing a backlash now by conservatives, but because they can't target Bush for four years, it looks like we're going to lose House and Senate seats of good people, and end up giving it back to the Democrats because of what they've done.

02:36:11.000 Well, in a way, they're a little bit late because, you know, in the primary up in Pennsylvania, we had a very good candidate, Pat Toomey, who was a member of my Liberty Committee, I don't know why the people believe that he's going to protect their interests.

02:36:26.000 So I don't know why the people believe that he's going to protect their interests.

02:36:33.000 So there's no question that Spector will be appointed and what happens is anybody's guess.

02:36:38.000 But so far, even the appointing of the Attorney General shows that the right to life people aren't going to be protected.

02:36:45.000 Well, they've got this weird psychology where they say, well, because we were elected with this landslide by you conservatives, we're going to spend our capital on the Senate and not let you boss us around.

02:36:56.000 You know, they've been duped, I think.
