Abu Ayub al-Ansari, one of the companions of the Prophet Muawiyah, who died at the age of 80 years old, was buried in the city of Istanbul, Turkey. In this episode, we talk about the importance of visiting the graves of those who have passed away.
00:01:11.620Even though he was 80 years old, because we know of the Hadith of the Prophet, peace be upon him, of the blessings and the forgiveness that the person who will conquer Constantinople will get inshaAllah.
00:01:22.820So he passed away, he gave his last breath in this city.
00:01:27.340And he was one of those people who are among the righteous people.
00:01:30.300And we asked Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to have mercy on him and make him among the righteous people inshaAllah and elevate his rank.
00:01:35.500What I wanted to say here is, a little reminder I wanted to share with you guys also, is the fact that you have a lot of visitors coming to this mosque from all over the country, a lot of places.
00:01:44.320Especially since the episode of Eltarul has started, a lot of people have a lot of attraction here.
00:01:48.480I've heard that 60% more people have come here, more tourists.
00:01:52.400So one thing that I want to mention, brothers and sisters, is that we have a lot of people, and actually in Tabari, Tabari mentions that there were some Greeks, Greeks and Christians would even come here to his gravestone and pray for rain.
00:02:08.100And sadly today we even do have some Muslims who come here and ask Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, and for things that they should be asking Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
00:02:16.920And it's really important for us to give this little benefit for you guys inshaAllah.
00:02:20.720Let me remind them our dear brothers and sisters, the fact that Tawheed, Allah's Lordship, His Oneness, His Oneness, if we know a little bit about our religion, Tawheed al-Ulihiya is that we single out Allah in worship.
00:02:35.900Now what this means is that we can come and visit the graves, yes? That's not a problem.
00:02:40.860We can come and visit, make a prayer for the person in the grave, but not ask things to him, because he has passed away now.
00:02:49.700So it's just a little reminder, my brothers and sisters, for us to understand that we worship Allah and Allah alone, and we should always, always bear that in mind.
00:02:57.100Because going and asking help from a person who has passed away, who is living in the hair life, in the barzah, but in this life who has passed away, has no benefit to you, neither himself.
00:03:09.040So it's just a little reminder for us to, if you do come visit this place, let's understand, my dear brothers and sisters, that Tawheed, the Oneness of Allah means that we ask help, and we pray and ask help from only Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
00:03:24.140Like we recite in Surah Fatih every single day, Iyaka na'abudu wa Iyaka nasta'eem.
00:03:29.500It was a little reminder for me, to you guys, inshaAllah, may Allah bless you guys, an amazing place, come to visit, inshaAllah.
00:03:34.500I'd prefer for you guys to come in summer, it is raining, but if you're from Trabzon, like my friend who's helping me with the camera work, he said that, where he's from Trabzon is a city,
00:03:43.700he said that they don't care about the rain, because they're already wet, or something along those lines.
00:03:48.080But anyways, may Allah bless you guys, assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
