00:00:00.240 It really took more faith than I even thought I had.
00:00:03.860 People who are religious think their religion is right and everybody else is wrong. 1.00
00:00:07.900 Today I have completed your religion for you and I've perfected my favour on you 0.99
00:00:12.420 and I am satisfied with Islam as a religion for you.
00:00:15.300 But at the same time, he managed to keep his relationship with God closer than ever.
00:00:19.480 Imagine a cat who's got his claws on you, whatever he can take.

00:00:41.560 Before I start, I want to praise Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
00:00:43.360 the most merciful, the most just, all praises, glory and gratitude belongs to him.
00:00:48.160 Alhamdulillahi rabbil alameen.
00:00:49.900 Now as you guys know with the reaction videos,
00:00:51.300 we try to bring you current affairs and try to learn things out of it
00:00:54.100 and try to connect them to the Quran and the Sunnah
00:00:56.420 and see what benefits we can get and what lessons we can learn
00:00:58.420 from whatever it may be.
00:00:59.860 Alhamdulillah.
00:01:00.560 Now in this video, I saw it from the Deenshaw.
00:01:03.400 Alhamdulillah.
00:01:03.580 And I thought Deenshaw's covered it.
00:01:04.600 That's good.
00:01:04.940 That's brilliant.
00:01:05.320 He's covered it.
00:01:05.740 I'm sure it came with some good beneficial reminder.
00:01:08.380 And I thought maybe, I didn't watch the whole thing,
00:01:10.440 but I thought I'd come from a different angle in the context of
00:01:13.080 when I watched Nasdaily.
00:01:14.880 I didn't know Nasdaily actually did the actual filming, yeah?
00:01:17.020 So he's done the filming.
00:01:18.240 And as you know, we've done videos for Nasdaily before as well,
00:01:20.480 giving him like a bit of a nasir, et cetera.
00:01:22.660 And in this one, I found it very interesting.
00:01:24.460 So what we're going to do, guys, is because I found it interesting
00:01:26.960 because Steve Harvey, you know, I know of him.
00:01:29.360 I watched some of his stuff.
00:01:30.460 And he does seem a man of principles.
00:01:31.980 He does seem a man where he has a lot of Islamic values.
00:01:35.620 You know, I was a conservative, but you can see.
00:01:38.540 You know, there was a video that I was watching of him,
00:01:40.220 of some girl saying, you know what, some guys are scared of my dad.
00:01:43.860 No guys want to date me.
00:01:45.160 And he was like, good.
00:01:46.040 That's how it should be.
00:01:46.860 It shows you that these guys are not good for you.
00:01:50.520 So Alhamdulillah, I see these little traits in him.
00:01:52.180 Let's get straight into the video.
00:01:53.080 I don't want to long this video out.
00:01:54.540 And there's a few lessons I want to learn
00:01:55.700 because there's something that was said there
00:01:56.920 which I found a little bit troubling.
00:01:59.300 But in all, the video is brilliant.
00:02:02.060 And we ask Allah to guide Steve Harvey.
00:02:04.060 Let's go inshallah.
00:02:04.520 So this is, as you can see on the screen, him and his wife.
00:02:07.940 And at first I saw that, I was like, yo, Steve Harvey a Muslim. 0.99
00:02:11.200 You know, you hear that these rappers are Muslims.
00:02:13.000 But anyway, let's carry on.
00:02:13.680 Here we go.
00:02:14.180 Bismillah.
00:02:14.440 Today, I want to tell you about a guy.
00:02:18.360 You may know him for his comedy.
00:02:19.980 You may know him for his mustache.
00:02:21.660 But today, I want you to know him for his religion.
00:02:24.940 Hey, I'm Steve Harvey.
00:02:26.120 Stand-up comedian, entertainer, television host, family man.
00:02:30.220 But most importantly, I happen to be a man of faith.
00:02:32.660 Steve is a very successful guy.
00:02:34.320 He has made more money than he ever thought.
00:02:36.580 He has become more money than he ever thought.
00:02:38.780 But at the same time, he managed to keep his relationship with God closer than ever.
00:02:43.740 Why did you not lose faith as you became more successful?
00:02:46.900 If I could make myself successful, I would have done it a long time ago.
00:02:53.620 I would have skipped so many of the lessons I had to learn.
00:02:56.680 But it's not that.
00:02:57.540 It's a process.
00:02:58.760 Success and happiness is a process, man.
00:03:00.880 And in this process, I was very aware of the amount of faith that was needed.
00:03:05.280 And as a matter of fact, it really took more faith than I even thought I had.
00:03:09.460 See, oftentimes, people who are religious think their religion is right and everybody else is wrong. 0.95
00:03:16.300 There is only one way to God.
00:03:20.120 But Steve's faith is unique because it's really not about that.
00:03:23.960 There's no one way to heaven, no one way to paradise.
00:03:27.280 It's like television.
00:03:27.980 Now it's over 800 channels of cable, and they're all pretty entertaining.
00:03:30.740 So I'm pretty sure, man, that to get to heaven, there's got to be more than one route.
00:03:33.440 Because somebody watching another channel or taking another channel than you,
00:03:36.520 they're still getting entertained, and they're probably still getting to heaven.
00:03:39.460 This isn't just talk.
00:03:42.580 Steve lives by these words.
00:03:44.420 He has three sons.
00:03:45.900 Two of them, he gave them Christian names like Broderick.
00:03:48.880 And one of them, he gave a Muslim name, Ali,
00:03:51.900 as a sign of respect and appreciation for the Muslim religion and the Muslim culture.
00:03:56.340 I named him Ali because I knew, I knew that.
00:03:58.820 That he might be different.
00:03:59.620 I knew.
00:04:00.120 And you have no problem with it.
00:04:01.240 No.
00:04:01.980 Because when you come here, you understand Islam is a religion of peace.
00:04:04.880 Why you got a problem with peace?
00:04:06.140 What Steve did reminds me a lot of this mosque. 1.00
00:04:08.660 This mosque in Abu Dhabi belongs to people in the Islamic faith.
00:04:12.940 But as a sign of tolerance to the churches next to them,
00:04:15.720 they renamed the mosque to Mary, Mother of Jesus' mosque.
00:04:19.000 Can you imagine a mosque with the name Jesus on it?
00:04:22.060 Yeah.
00:04:22.720 The world could use a little bit more of that.
00:04:24.820 A whole lot more, sis.
00:04:25.560 So guys, as you can see, Alhamdulillah, beautiful video.
00:04:30.180 It's a beautiful video in the context, Alhamdulillah.
00:04:32.280 You can see that he's open, he's respectful.
00:04:35.260 And subhanAllah, these are the people like subhanAllah, 0.98
00:04:37.600 what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells in Surah Mumtayna verse 8,
00:04:39.940 Allah does not forbid you from being just and kind to those who do not fight you,
00:04:45.000 account of your faith, because of your faith, because you're a Muslim,
00:04:48.120 and don't kick you out of your houses.
00:04:49.820 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala makes it very clear.
00:04:51.180 And this verse is not abrogated.
00:04:53.060 Yeah.
00:04:53.380 This verse is clearly telling you that you should be kind and just to the non-Muslims.
00:04:56.680 So, for example, when he's talking about tolerance and stuff like that,
00:05:00.840 it's all good.
00:05:01.680 And Alhamdulillah, for them to wear, his wife to wear the hijab, 0.98
00:05:04.960 and for him to, you know, wear the, not only the Islamic garment, you know,
00:05:07.880 it's more like, you know, the garment of the culture there,
00:05:11.640 it's heartwarming.
00:05:13.460 It's good.
00:05:14.080 It's good to know.
00:05:14.880 And the Prophet, salallahu alayhi wa sallam, his closest uncle was a non-Muslim, 0.93
00:05:18.100 you know, and he had people, like, for example, non-Muslims, subhanAllah, 0.59
00:05:21.500 who's worked in Islamic empires before, had high positions in the Islamic empire.
00:05:26.260 So, this myth should be debunked.
00:05:28.660 However, there is something here which I want to touch on,
00:05:31.660 and Nas Daly has mentioned this before,
00:05:33.440 and we need to make something really clear, brothers and sisters, yeah?
00:05:35.740 Alhamdulillah, sometimes what happens is, when we see these things happening,
00:05:38.960 what happens is, brothers and sisters, we get into this whole,
00:05:42.600 how can I explain, the whole lovey-dovey thing, yeah?
00:05:45.640 Okay, yeah, look, you know, we all hold hands and, yeah.
00:05:47.980 Look, just because Islam has tolerance towards other religions, yeah?
00:05:52.340 You are not allowed to force your religion.
00:05:53.680 In Surah Baqarah, verse 2, 5, 6, it says,
00:05:56.260 that there is no compulsion in religion.
00:05:57.680 Truth is clear from falsehood.
00:05:59.360 So, we need to understand that there is no compulsion in religion.
00:06:02.080 When the Islamic empire was expanding, 0.97
00:06:04.280 they were not allowed to force their religion.
00:06:07.200 Yes, they would expand, the empire is expanding,
00:06:09.400 and there were Christians and Jews,
00:06:10.660 and certain people living under their banner.
00:06:13.440 However, the force of religion was haram.
00:06:16.500 It's not allowed.
00:06:17.380 There is no compulsion in religion.
00:06:18.980 And you can live in peace.
00:06:19.920 Where the Prophet, peace be upon him,
00:06:20.780 lived with the Christians and the Jews in Medina,
00:06:22.180 and even though some of them were hostile towards him,
00:06:24.860 he lived in harmony.
00:06:26.960 Now, to live in harmony,
00:06:28.620 and to say that there is harmony in harmony to the truth,
00:06:34.100 that is not correct.
00:06:35.260 Because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in Surah Aida,
00:06:37.460 verse 3,
00:06:37.980 Today, I have completed your religion for you, 0.95
00:06:41.980 and I have perfected my favor on you,
00:06:43.960 and I am satisfied with Islam as a religion for you.
00:06:46.620 So, it's very clear for us to say that
00:06:48.660 there is one way,
00:06:50.440 and this whole notion is nothing but devil's deception.
00:06:53.980 If you can see the book here,
00:06:55.100 it is nothing but devil's deception.
00:06:58.360 Let me tell you why.
00:06:59.420 The problem is, it's very important.
00:07:00.140 You should get this book as well.
00:07:01.020 It's very important.
00:07:01.520 You know why?
00:07:02.100 Because shaitan comes to you in a variety of ways.
00:07:04.500 Yeah?
00:07:04.620 He's going to come and try to hit you with shirk. 0.91
00:07:06.700 Associate partner, astallah.
00:07:07.500 You can't do that?
00:07:08.420 Innovation.
00:07:09.200 If not innovation in the religion, 0.99
00:07:10.520 major sins.
00:07:11.380 Not major sins are going to come to you with minor sins.
00:07:13.280 Not minor sins are going to come to you with what?
00:07:15.360 It's going to occupy you with things that are halal. 0.99
00:07:17.500 Playing all day.
00:07:18.520 You know, playing stuff all day,
00:07:19.440 but you could be doing something better.
00:07:20.340 You could be reading the Quran, yeah?
00:07:21.500 Or you can do both,
00:07:22.160 but you know, excessive thing.
00:07:23.960 Or doing, occupying you with the lesser of two.
00:07:26.500 Because you want to go and give in charity,
00:07:28.400 he stops you and says,
00:07:29.180 you know, why don't you read the Quran maybe?
00:07:30.160 I don't know, I'm just giving argument's sake, yeah?
00:07:31.560 Because the other one's reward may be greater,
00:07:33.200 or vice versa.
00:07:35.020 Shaitan's ultimate goal is what? 0.98
00:07:36.500 He is destined to hell.
00:07:39.380 He wants to, 0.99
00:07:40.360 imagine guys,
00:07:41.300 if you are destined to hell,
00:07:43.160 yeah?
00:07:43.480 And Allah gave him the choice, by the way,
00:07:45.900 he did it himself, yeah?
00:07:47.260 You are going to want to take,
00:07:48.540 a police wants to take anybody there with him,
00:07:50.900 bruv, he doesn't care.
00:07:52.000 He's like someone,
00:07:52.820 like imagine a cat,
00:07:53.840 who's got his claws on you.
00:07:55.580 Whatever he can take,
00:07:56.800 bruv, a little, I don't care.
00:07:58.400 Whatever, as he's going,
00:07:59.880 he wants to take whatever from you.
00:08:02.580 This is his main objective and goal,
00:08:04.360 and that's what Allah says,
00:08:05.640 shaitan is an enemy, 1.00
00:08:07.160 and take him as an enemy.
00:08:09.600 Brothers and sisters,
00:08:10.240 how many of us have enemies,
00:08:11.080 we don't like him,
00:08:11.580 we're very oppressive,
00:08:12.360 you know, he might come and do this,
00:08:13.360 or man,
00:08:13.760 what about shaitan,
00:08:15.000 you let go of him.
00:08:16.040 And this is the reason why,
00:08:16.980 brothers and sisters,
00:08:17.540 what Nasdaq is saying here,
00:08:19.100 and brother Steve Harvey,
00:08:20.500 with all due respect,
00:08:21.960 I genuinely respect him as a man,
00:08:24.140 genuinely someone that I'm like,
00:08:25.560 wow, I like his principles,
00:08:26.660 and what he lives by, yeah,
00:08:27.880 even calling his son's name Ali, etc.,
00:08:30.660 and it's beautiful,
00:08:32.600 but there's a reality that we need to be aware of.
00:08:35.540 I can come and make this video,
00:08:37.400 and be like,
00:08:37.980 you know what,
00:08:38.200 it's all hunky-dory,
00:08:39.100 yes, woo, yes,
00:08:40.480 hold hands,
00:08:41.200 there's multiple ways,
00:08:42.340 there is no multiple ways to heaven,
00:08:44.160 there isn't.
00:08:44.780 Now, but let me make something clear,
00:08:45.780 Islam is the only religion, 1.00
00:08:47.420 if Steve Harvey happens to watch this video,
00:08:49.000 Islam is the only religion that says, 0.99
00:08:50.960 Allah does not punish a nation
00:08:52.120 until he sends a messenger.
00:08:53.540 Islam is the only religion that says, 0.99
00:08:55.440 if somebody hasn't heard the message of Islam,
00:08:58.000 they are not accountable,
00:08:59.260 and they will be judged on the day of judgment
00:09:00.500 with a special test,
00:09:01.560 because Allah has negated, 0.62
00:09:04.000 when you study his asma wa safad,
00:09:05.680 his names and attributes,
00:09:06.540 he negated oppression to himself,
00:09:08.280 he will never oppress anyone,
00:09:09.740 you have this predestiny,
00:09:11.920 and free will,
00:09:12.940 so let's make that very clear,
00:09:14.560 however,
00:09:15.120 if somebody hasn't heard the message of Islam at all,
00:09:16.980 at all,
00:09:17.940 and he dies in that state,
00:09:19.080 of course there's a chance,
00:09:20.360 so as Muslims,
00:09:21.340 there is a chance,
00:09:22.300 listen carefully,
00:09:23.040 a Christian,
00:09:23.820 a pagan,
00:09:24.520 an atheist,
00:09:25.520 a Buddhist,
00:09:27.220 a Christian,
00:09:28.280 or a Jew,
00:09:29.240 a potential of entering paradise,
00:09:31.260 yes,
00:09:31.500 but as long as they did not hear the message of Islam,
00:09:34.960 but if they heard the message of Islam,
00:09:36.800 and they know it to be true,
00:09:38.320 and they say,
00:09:39.400 oh,
00:09:39.800 no,
00:09:40.320 but you know,
00:09:40.880 that's a different story now,
00:09:42.300 because now that is kafir,
00:09:44.080 in the context of,
00:09:44.980 you know it's the truth,
00:09:45.980 but you're covering,
00:09:46.560 you're like,
00:09:46.820 no,
00:09:46.960 no,
00:09:47.080 no,
00:09:47.200 no,
00:09:47.300 so guys,
00:09:48.200 this is what we're trying to say inshallah,
00:09:49.720 and I hope that has benefited you,
00:09:50.760 because when I saw his video,
00:09:51.440 I said,
00:09:51.560 I need to touch up on this,
00:09:52.520 we asked Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
00:09:53.620 guys Steve Harvey,
00:09:54.460 he would be an amazing example as a Muslim,
00:09:57.020 because he has those principles,
00:09:57.880 and I don't know if it was Abu Bakr who said that,
00:10:00.200 but he said,
00:10:00.940 those who subhanallah,
00:10:02.860 had certain traits in kafir,
00:10:04.960 in disbelief,
00:10:05.840 when they come to Islam,
00:10:07.060 it beautifies,
00:10:08.060 you can see that,
00:10:09.800 they'll become so much more amazing,
00:10:11.880 so I just wanted to share that video with you guys,
00:10:14.620 hope you guys benefited,
00:10:15.840 and brothers and sisters,
00:10:16.740 please do not be deceived by the shaitan,
00:10:18.700 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said,
00:10:19.500 he's made the religion clear,
00:10:20.700 Islam is the truth,
00:10:21.980 and Islam has been there from day one,
00:10:23.540 so let's not water it down,
00:10:24.920 and make it seem like,
00:10:26.120 yeah,
00:10:26.380 we all hold hands,
00:10:27.020 this is nothing but a deception,
00:10:28.620 you know,
00:10:28.940 if Nas Daly,
00:10:30.640 you know,
00:10:31.340 God forbid,
00:10:32.280 if he dies in his state,
00:10:35.020 and he's in front of God,
00:10:36.700 and Allah asks him,
00:10:37.580 why don't you follow Islam, 0.98
00:10:38.940 you can't say,
00:10:39.480 oh no,
00:10:39.760 I thought there's different ways,
00:10:41.100 subhanallah,
00:10:41.920 do we take,
00:10:43.300 okay Nas Daly,
00:10:44.180 Allah might ask him,
00:10:44.920 on what basis did you say that,
00:10:46.740 on what basis,
00:10:47.920 and one of the biggest sins,
00:10:48.720 is talk about Allah,
00:10:49.860 that he is not affirmed,
00:10:52.020 he has not said for himself,
00:10:53.140 just as they say,
00:10:54.040 Jesus is God,
00:10:55.120 he's the son of God,
00:10:55.800 so let's be careful inshallah,
00:10:57.280 and hope this benefit is a reminder,
00:10:58.640 some of you guys might wish,
00:10:59.400 and be like,
00:10:59.660 oh you ruined the whole video,
