00:23:38.400 And that is I am concerned about what my kids are faced with and what other kids are faced with in this school system.
00:23:45.240 But I am running for school board not only because of the grassroots movement that I've been a part of, Parents Against Critical Theory,
00:23:52.700 but because I am a professional in the field of special education and I've been involved in this profession for over 20 years.
00:24:00.260 I've worked as a teacher in public schools, in private schools, and I'm currently a board certified behavior analyst.
00:24:06.860 And I work with children with autism.
00:24:08.680 And I have always been a staunch advocate for children.
00:24:12.220 I will be an advocate for my own children as well as others.
00:24:14.860 I am an IEP advocate and I will never apologize for standing up for kids.
00:24:20.520 And so when I decided late in April to get involved in this race, I knew that that was going to be my message from day one.

00:24:32.020 We've got to get the identity politics out of the classroom.
00:24:35.240 Our kids deserve to learn in an environment free of identity politics.

00:24:45.300 I'm not sure if you're aware or not, but back in 2019, Loudoun County hired the Equity Collaborative
00:24:50.900 and paid them $5,000 a day to come into Loudoun County and tell teachers that they have implicit bias.
00:24:56.660 So the misuse of money in this school system, the administrative bloat is out of control.
00:25:03.120 The people sitting on this school board, the least of their concerns are our children and families.
00:25:09.280 And in my opinion, the most important stakeholders in a school system are children.
00:25:14.400 And it's important for people to remember that adults are the ones who elect school board members,
00:25:18.960 but school board members are tasked with the responsibility of implementing policies
00:25:24.620 and making decisions that are in the best interest of children.
00:25:28.200 And that is exactly what I will do if I am elected.

00:25:51.320 How did they get so far off of really teaching kids to be able to compete globally against India and China,
00:25:57.420 the kids there, South Korea, Japan, Europe, and the rest of the world in a post-industrial society

00:33:32.980 My husband and I have been standing outside the abortion clinics, praying, talking, convincing women not to kill their babies, and supporting with our money.
00:33:42.760 We put our money where our mouth is.
00:33:44.980 Back in 2016, because he just retired from Border Patrol, as a Border Patrol agent, he was sent to D.C.
00:33:51.820 And it was there where the Lord just, I felt, called me to get back to El Paso, leave my, every ministry within the four walls of the church.
00:34:01.120 And my ministry field is the civic world now.
00:34:05.340 I started helping candidates, got very involved, and I was inducted by fire.
00:34:11.680 And then I was asked to run.
00:34:13.880 Because of who the incumbent is, we want to make sure that somebody, she ran on three things in 2018.
00:34:19.900 Being a woman, check, being a native, check, and being Hispanic, check.
00:34:25.100 So now let's talk about the policies.
00:34:27.080 And so when I was asked, she ran on the identity politics and said, hey, I got you there, and I'll see you some policies, right?
