Bannon's War Room - Episode 2879： Marc Andreessen Pushes For AI Weapons; The Day War Comes To America

00:00:00.000 this is the primal scream of a dying regime pray for our enemies because we're going medieval on

00:00:11.020 these people here's not got a free shot all these networks lying about the people the people have

00:00:17.620 had a belly full of it i know you don't like hearing that i know you try to do everything

00:00:21.380 in the world to stop that but you're not going to stop it it's going to happen and where do

00:00:24.760 people like that go to share the big line mega media i wish in my soul i wish that any of these

00:00:32.460 people had a conscience ask yourself what is my task and what is my purpose if that answer is to

00:00:40.040 save my country this country will be saved war room here's your host stephen k bann

00:00:47.920 how does he continue this type of momentum in terms of um not just the optics but a real

00:01:00.120 kind of generating a sense of of having complete control over the situation what's different at

00:01:06.860 the NATO summit nothing's different and that's the thing i mean i will say this make a following up on

00:01:13.260 what you said a couple of days ago that get uh that uh it got you in red on the drudge report

00:01:18.700 which is pretty big when they give you the red headline uh they do have the scheduling better

00:01:23.020 they they do have the scheduling better uh and i thought it was important for them to say hey you

00:01:28.420 know what he's been going night and day we're going to let him take off for the dinner of course plan

00:01:33.580 that ahead next time uh but but little things like that make a big difference but look at this

00:01:39.420 joe joe joe joe for any look at this everything here is tightly produced it's beautiful yeah right

00:01:45.720 and he get everything here allows these world leaders to do what they do and there's no concern

00:01:52.760 about the small things and i would suggest that what i said that i guess put me in the red

00:01:58.100 is taken seriously when he comes back home because this president is good at what he does

00:02:04.720 and these i've always told people no i just always told people that he's the president's very sharp uh

00:02:13.180 he if if uh you you say something or write something there have been times he's called

00:02:18.640 uh and uh he's refuted it uh very sharply he's uh i've talked to foreign leaders that have had

00:02:25.760 conversations with him that said that he was on top of every issue and to the degree that they were

00:02:31.620 actually some some some nato leaders have told me they were very surprised the contrast between the

00:02:38.000 image in the public and the joe biden behind closed doors uh because he is so sharp and he's on top of

00:02:45.980 everything so much of it has to do with presentation yeah i i thought i was going to be able to in in

00:02:51.900 planning for the shot i thought i was gonna be able to sit through this and we got the nda piece but i

00:02:55.960 can't take anymore um they are going out of the way this guy has got a low approval rating

00:03:02.460 everything he touches turns into complete fiasco and uh i mean the lackeys over at uh at morning

00:03:11.100 joe and he goes this is a big news flash for the morning joe thing you know he's got the red at

00:03:14.460 drudge that's still really important no it's not important nobody goes there years ago drudge used

00:03:19.540 to change narratives and used to drive narratives that doesn't happen anymore i don't know if matt

00:03:24.620 drudge is still there now it's all kind of rumors all i know is the site is uh quite fleet average as

00:03:29.920 we say in the navy ben harnwell there was a lot of activity uh you've been so right on what's

00:03:36.320 happening in this war i really you posobic and boris since the very beginning of this conflict

00:03:41.380 have been the three people that have been ahead of the curve here and really explaining

00:03:45.120 to uh to our audience i think uniquely what's happening over here of course yesterday the inactive

00:03:52.120 reserves called up part of this is a is you can see the recruiting problem of the wokeness is coming 0.99

00:03:56.700 back to bite us but this is also a forerunner of i think dangerous times ahead in combat troops

00:04:03.600 ahead of us obviously this deal was cut in lithuania was it not uh ben harnwell to biden have come back

00:04:11.920 in action so quickly sir good evening steve well yeah i mean it's it's uh the first point to make

00:04:18.460 about this and just to quickly give the background and the pentagon announced yesterday that up to

00:04:24.020 3 000 reservists uh are going to be called up can be called up to be sent over um to assist in the

00:04:32.180 effort um there were a number of points to make in the first point i have to make is to to give full

00:04:40.160 um full credit here to the statement that donald trump put out um a couple of hours ago um where he

00:04:46.340 makes the point i don't know if den was able to to put that up as i'm talking but he makes the absolute

00:04:51.400 point here the reason that uh biden has been forced to this maneuver is because of the the general

00:04:59.780 depletion of u.s resources thus far um executed over the last year and a half which is absolutely true

00:05:07.060 um the other point to make is that obviously that this is a massive escalation steve even if

00:05:15.000 if uh if a war hasn't formally been declared that's the reality and the idea now um that even

00:05:23.320 reservists are going to be called up to be sent over there just shows you how desperate the

00:05:28.640 administration is there are um a couple of points i would like to make it because it's known that

00:05:34.540 there are about 80 000 u.s troops over over in continental europe right now but i think some

00:05:40.980 precision is finally um the white house needs to provide some some precision if this is the stage

00:05:48.740 that we're now at and there are some certain questions for example how many troops are presently

00:05:54.820 in ukraine right of the 80 000 europe how many are in ukraine are any of them in um active combat

00:06:02.460 situations uh some people are suggesting that it's difficult to know how many u.s troops will be

00:06:09.100 out there um because they won't be wearing um their uniform other analysts are saying quite reasonably

00:06:16.160 that only americans but but but hang on hang on we we were going to have lauren bobert was going to 1.00

00:06:23.100 come in with you and talk about things because of votes and other things are happening we can't get

00:06:28.680 congressman bobert on today and by the way the six o'clock show is loaded we get and we moved a lot

00:06:33.260 of things around to accommodate congressman bobert but it often happens during the work day

00:06:38.360 they get tied with votes and other these meetings and there's a firestorm over there right now

00:06:43.000 ben and i just want to make for our audience and this is one of the problems i have and have said

00:06:48.480 from day one yesterday on this national defense and we've got a cold open for the national defense

00:06:54.260 authorization i may call for it a second on the national defense authorization act there were a

00:06:59.480 number of amendments put up to try to get the woke part out of it uh and some of these failed and and

00:07:06.140 at the forefront of this on the ukraine side not the woke part on the ukraine side was matt gates once

00:07:13.460 again matt gates taking the lead uh and uh you know matt gates put a limitation in no money to go over

00:07:21.100 there for their security voted down i think he got 70 votes against 300 votes or 350 votes against

00:07:26.040 one of the congressmen put up a an amendment to the nda which is essentially a trillion dollar defense

00:07:34.480 budget and supposed to be policy also ben the he put up a request not to have a war powers resolution

00:07:44.300 which we are demanding here at the war room he put up just a part of this trillion dollar budget

00:07:51.400 can the biden administration with plenty of time can they just come back and give us a strategic report

00:07:57.540 a report on what the strategy is and and ben it would call for a number of things you just basics

00:08:04.360 do we have troops there how many troops there do we have paramilitary there how much money have we

00:08:08.920 really spent our audits underway uh you said the other day we're sending cluster bombs which you

00:08:14.200 weren't said we're war crimes because we're out of ammo the brits are out of ammo our allies are

00:08:18.620 out of ammo can we just have a basic strategic report something simple just so we can put it all

00:08:24.880 in one thing and not have to look at msnbc and fox or read the new york times it got 129 votes ben

00:08:31.420 200 and some votes three almost 300 votes against it 129 votes even to make sure this thing is so

00:08:40.100 out of control we have no earthy idea on we don't have an iota mtg recalled for the audits that's not

00:08:49.620 been sloughed aside two weeks ago ben you were on here on the day they found the second accounting

00:08:54.800 problem for five billion dollars right we are headed into they just called the inactive reserve

00:09:02.080 remember these are inactive reserves when you're in the military and you get and you get out you do

00:09:05.840 your basic your five years of your you do your five years you can either stay as a reserve and you know

00:09:11.800 and and do your weekend training and go for a couple weeks in the summer and everything like that or you

00:09:16.080 can just go inactive the guys that go inactive say hey listen i took my time i basically wash my hands

00:09:20.660 that i go on to my into my civilian life it's the inactive reserves are calling up this is quite

00:09:26.340 extraordinary because of the need to manpower so ben when you sit there continue on but i'm saying

00:09:32.040 our congress republican controlled house let me repeat this a republican controlled house

00:09:39.420 matt gates and a handful of warriors eli crane lauren boebert rosendahl the typical names we talk

00:09:46.740 about all the time kind of came forward and tried to have force even a conversation and a debate

00:09:53.200 on the ukraine and the woken weaponized got a little traction ukraine basically shut down 70 votes to

00:10:01.180 not send any money and only 129 votes i think to actually make biden come to the to the to the table

00:10:07.380 strategy and if we don't force him now to come forward with a war powers resolution we are asking for

00:10:14.600 we are asking to be drawn into this kinetic uh the kinetic part of this conflict not just uh

00:10:20.320 arming them and sending boatloads of unaccountable cash ben harnwell well you you mentioned the war

00:10:27.720 powers resolution um a lot of people think that that in itself is unconstitutional which will rent the

00:10:34.320 1973 um act a lot of people suggest that that itself is unconstitutional because it gives limited

00:10:40.600 power to the to a president to um to act uh to sort of to act in in a war-like fashion without have

00:10:48.900 without obtaining from congress a declaration of war um now given the current composition of the

00:10:55.020 supreme court now might be the best time to get that uh to get that clarified hold it i but hang on i want

00:11:01.140 you i want you to go back and take your time and do that again because i know you're more of the

00:11:04.720 libertarian bent sometimes this is actually when i keep asking for a war powers act i'm i'm even

00:11:10.120 avoiding the question that rand paul and many of our constitutionalists put forward go hey even that's

00:11:16.760 unconstitutional because he's got to come to congress to get any of this going i mean think about it for a

00:11:21.780 second we're so far away from that we're so post-constitutional ben they didn't even think about

00:11:27.280 coming and asking for a declaration of war they're not even coming asking for the maybe

00:11:31.680 unconstitutional big question up in the air war powers act which i think has to be tested at the

00:11:37.160 supreme court to find out whether it is not we're just asking for a strategic report just hey we're

00:11:43.680 gonna since you're gonna get all this money approved how about a little something for the effort that

00:11:48.380 only gets 129 votes sir yeah um well you know the times are a bit different from from the vietnam war

00:11:57.360 right um we're in a because we have social media now we we have direct communication we have

00:12:03.320 iphones that we can record things where when like i i don't want to be too controversial but let me just

00:12:09.600 say when the united states allowed itself to be guided in to the entrance into the vietnam war by the

00:12:15.640 gulf of uh tonkin wasn't it when the u.s ship was hit um and that's something that we need to be

00:12:22.220 watching out for now right uh a similar instance definitely um but when that happened you know

00:12:29.500 americans trusted their their news anchors they trusted their the the broadsheets they trusted the

00:12:36.760 media people don't trust any of this anymore um so i think it would be more difficult for i hope it

00:12:43.700 would be more difficult for for the u.s to reproduce a vietnam vietnam like scenario um in ukraine but that

00:12:51.480 is certainly the moves if you look at the moves this is what's doing and here here's another

00:12:55.160 point when i say it's different what should happen is that i do you know i do think that you know i'm

00:13:00.780 not a constitutional expert but it does seem to me that the constitution is pretty clear in giving the

00:13:05.840 the the power the authority to declare war uniquely and exclusively to uh the congress that sort of makes

00:13:12.780 it that makes it inalienable that it is to say that congress can't delegate that power to any other

00:13:19.180 body including the president even if congress wanted to without changing the constitution the

00:13:23.780 constitution hasn't been changed therefore i would suggest that the war um the war powers resolution um

00:13:30.760 is is in in of itself unconstitutional as i said now would be the right time i think uniquely the right

00:13:37.600 time to get this um to get this tested by the supreme court but one of the fundamental differences

00:13:44.040 between now please go ahead go ahead no you go ahead the fundamental differences between now

00:13:50.760 and 50 years ago is there's i think a far more direct interaction on behalf you know things like

00:13:56.940 the war room and other and other news organizations there's a far more engaged interactive um mediation

00:14:05.100 between events between specific congressmen and senators and the american public what we need what we

00:14:11.720 should do now and as you point out correctly notionally that the house is currently being

00:14:16.640 controlled by the republicans is that we should force every single republican to come in and obviously i

00:14:22.700 think mccarthy you know he this is the uniparty in in its um in its glory but make them vote

00:14:29.660 yes hang on for one second ben i'm gonna hold you through ben harnwell from rome fire fight

00:14:39.000 over the national defense authorization act a complete total debacle total and complete

00:14:46.600 next in the world

00:14:47.920 well congress once again allowed itself to be pushed into appeasing the administration and raising the

00:15:04.640 debt ceiling for the 79th time paving the way for continued reckless spending and further devaluation

00:15:12.960 of the u.s dollar as our national debt continues to skyrocket how are you protecting your savings times

00:16:27.980 here's your host stephen k bann

00:16:31.900 ben here's a question for you for this audience was this deal were there secret deals and secret

00:16:40.620 arrangements i mean why did biden come back and immediately call up 3 000 active uh reserve

00:16:46.060 and to support this ukraine war effort were there deals secret deals cut in lithuania that we don't

00:16:53.580 know about i think this is the the immediate manifestation of such deals um i think i suggest

00:17:01.660 the reason was political steve as the whole of of biden's um behavior um and impulses has been since the

00:17:10.860 beginning of the war he needed to some degree regain an initiative and to show strength you know he he

00:17:18.460 has to give uh he has to give the appropriate material to morning mika um and one of the ways of doing

00:17:25.820 that having so um publicly resisted the entrance of um ukraine into nato i think this was his way of

00:17:34.700 saying you know that he's not totally senile and in la la land and he's still you know a a moral uh

00:17:43.020 leadership force on the world stage and that and that's why he announced that that would be

00:17:47.900 my speculation it's a sort of quid pro quo for the um for the for the lack of um timetable um or

00:17:55.740 invitation to ukraine let me ask you the most danger i argue now that we're in the most dangerous time of

00:18:03.260 this conflict because and correct me if i'm wrong you covered it i asked you the other day they

00:18:08.860 didn't really have any presentations on the summer offensive or counter offensive and if it had been

00:18:13.500 going even a scintilla of good that's all you would have heard zelinski's this war here in fact his

00:18:18.860 isolation looked to me like politicians trying to i don't want really getting the photo with this guy

00:18:24.300 because he could end up being president dm pretty quickly or removed or we find some big scandal

00:18:30.140 or because he's not going to make it to a failed uh offensive that's also why he threw such a big

00:18:35.180 temper tantrum i need i need to get in nato now right i don't need to don't wait for the results of

00:18:40.780 this how dangerous the time it has is it right now we're supplying them uh cluster bombs that looks

00:18:48.620 like another major arms escalation this offensive they're going to get more and more desperate as this

00:18:54.380 offensive is not getting traction what what's your and i'm not asking to speculate but what's your

00:19:00.620 feel over the next couple of months of how you see this thing playing out well i will absolutely

00:19:06.220 speculate steve because as far as i can see biden resident biden has spent the last uh 18 months

00:19:13.180 wrapping a very dangerous situation in touch paper and now he's pouring petrol all over it this is the

00:19:18.860 point once you've got sort of you know troops are over there explicitly you know this is why it's

00:19:25.340 so dangerous because for russia the territory of an integrity of ukraine which is a buffer state um

00:19:33.340 is a matter of existential importance for russia and for its internal security it's not for nato

00:19:40.060 and it's not for the united states what it is become what it has become is an issue of existential

00:19:45.340 importance for the the future career of of of president of resident joe biden now put to one

00:19:53.340 side the fact that is he going to run again will he be kicked out you know are are we already seeing

00:19:59.340 the maneuvers of um of the democratic party mainstream media complex in the process of throwing

00:20:06.540 him under the bus um and i think that's absolutely that is absolutely whilst he is still president

00:20:11.580 this or while he's still occupying the white house um this issue is of existential importance to his

00:20:18.860 credibility and everything he's saying is underlining that fact and that's his starting point and that's

00:20:23.820 his finishing point this is why the situation is so desperate right now because all it will take will

00:20:29.260 be a false flag situation um and then of course the military industrial complex will will will

00:20:37.100 will move up to maximum level and then you know it's prayer time for ben hey ben hang on for one

00:20:45.420 second uh i don't have time to play the cold open on the nda but i want to get back to this

00:20:50.540 in this tie so much to our our economic well-being about how we get this economy back on track and

00:20:57.340 particularly how we stop this um mania we have for spending money that we don't actually have just

00:21:05.420 creating it and burying us deeper and deeper this is like someone's addicted to shopping

00:21:11.500 right and and they can't stop it's a compulsion they can't stop and they keep running up credit cards

00:21:16.140 and they keep getting in bankruptcies and having to get 10 or 15 credit cards and it's just

00:21:20.460 it takes over their lives this is where we are in this country as a nation in our finances

00:21:26.380 this ndaa and look i'm as big a hawk as is anybody but it's a hawk when you need to be like

00:21:31.180 on the chinese communist party the south china sea in taiwan and taking down the ccp this national 1.00

00:21:38.060 defense authorization act as uh as uh you know ben has said and others have said dave brad said this

00:21:45.980 morning has no strategy tied to it whatsoever there's really unencumbered from any strategy

00:21:51.340 we're just there and we're getting bigger and we need to be there we need to be everywhere

00:21:55.100 this bill is about a trillion dollars not just that it is inculcated the core of it

00:22:01.180 is wokeness using the defense which is really the one industrial policy we have as a nation the defense

00:22:07.740 policy and all the arms industries around it to use that as a driver of social engineering 0.86

00:22:14.620 to diversity equity and inclusion and we haven't taken that out they've taken some out but it's it's 0.74

00:22:19.980 it's woven into the fabric of it and that's why you have these ridiculous woke field officers 0.77

00:22:26.780 and employees that you know are are having you're actually sitting there saying oh we got to take 0.86

00:22:31.820 out the money for the drag queen story hour at the base library for the little children

00:22:37.660 there's been one person over the last 72 hours to prove once again this is matt gates matt gates has

00:22:43.420 done an extraordinary job an incredible job with help of the 20 and the six and some other people up to

00:22:49.820 70 and some of these votes but it takes leadership his leadership his debating skills his knowledge

00:22:55.100 has been extraordinary your voice would not have been heard it was not for matt gates fighting

00:23:00.540 sophisticated fights can we play also we tell me when we're ready i'm playing his grilling of uh

00:23:07.180 the other day of ray do we have it okay let's play let's play i want to show you what he did the

00:23:11.580 other day with ray just to remind you let's go and see it american people need to understand what just

00:23:16.620 happened my call my democrat colleague just asked the director of the fbi whether or not they are

00:23:21.500 buying information about our fellow americans and the answer is well we'll just have to get back to

00:23:27.900 you on that sounds really complicated but i have other questions i'm sitting here with my father

00:23:33.580 i will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability

00:23:38.460 to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction i am sitting here waiting for the

00:23:45.580 call with my father sounds like a shakedown doesn't it director

00:23:53.100 i'm not going to get into commenting on that you you you seem deeply

00:23:56.940 uncurious about it don't you almost suspiciously uncurious are you protecting the biden's

00:24:03.260 absolutely not the fbi does not you won't answer the question about whether or not that's a shakedown

00:24:09.500 and everybody knows why you won't answer it because to ev to the millions of people who will see this

00:24:14.860 they know it is and your inability to acknowledge that is deeply revealing about you but let's go from

00:24:20.700 the uncurious to the downright nosy how many illegal fisa queries have occurred under your leadership of

00:24:28.700 the fbi now only only gates a little bit any biggest mother but gates took the lead gates taking 1.00

00:24:35.340 the lead ndaa gates took the lead on on uh on uh grilling ray to gain to the bottom of it gates is the

00:24:42.460 guy that uh changed the direction of the country with his leadership sole leadership there were others

00:24:49.180 too but sole leadership the first week of january so what's matt gates's reward for that what is matt

00:24:55.260 gates's reward for being a voice of reason a voice of reason mccarthy and the ethics committee

00:25:05.260 are now doing an ethics investigation on something the fbi dropped because there wasn't anything there

00:25:11.020 cnn's reporting they're going to go back on all these charges of these allegations and smears that

00:25:16.140 came up from the left from leaked from doj and the fbi that turned it that wasn't there they dropped

00:25:21.260 them fbi dropping doj thought trust me if there's a scintilla of anything they'd have been all over 0.96

00:25:26.620 matt gates they weren't so what is mccarthy and this is how what a scumbag mccarthy is 0.96

00:25:32.620 this is the guy that shut down because he took money from sequoia capital shut down a house 0.99

00:25:39.100 intelligence investigation with that crook mike turner who's another scumbag who voted not to take 0.95

00:25:45.100 out the woke and weaponized in the nda today mike turner and people in dayton and maga and dayton 0.97

00:25:51.980 ought to be humiliated he's your congressman he shut down an investigation into a major national

00:25:58.060 security threat of a chinese operative neil shen who works for the politburo the head of sequoia

00:26:05.020 capital taking your pension money and funding artificial intelligence weapon systems and joe allen's

00:26:10.700 going to be on here and tell you about ai okay they shut that down and mccarthy has authorized look

00:26:16.300 the other way why ethics is going to go after matt gates because they want matt gates to shut up they

00:26:21.100 want to bring matt gates to heel they don't want matt gates on the ndaa they don't want matt gates uh

00:26:26.700 going after ray they don't want matt gates leading the impeachment inquiry into uh into garland they don't

00:26:32.060 want him starting a criminal uh referral on chris ray they certainly don't want him with the motion

00:26:38.700 a vacation they think they're going to play checkmate on matt gates i got news for mccarthy

00:26:42.620 and this audience has news over our dead bodies will you do anything to matt gates matt gates has

00:26:49.100 been the one person this entire congress even with the heroic leadership of the six and the 20 and these

00:26:55.100 other people have come together to try to stop this madness what mccarthy when you sold out the country 0.99

00:27:01.340 and i'm telling you brother there's something quite suspicious about your activity you shut down

00:27:06.060 investigations you took money from sequoia capital you got ccp companies all over your district 0.99

00:27:12.860 and now and you're you allowed biden to have two years of 15 trillion dollars plus of spending at

00:27:18.540 least four trillion dollars added to our debt you you you and now you're going to come after matt

00:27:25.340 gates with some phony made-up charges that even a justice department that hates him and an fbi that hates

00:27:31.020 him even more dropped this is the way the town plays right this is this is the way the cartel rolls

00:27:41.100 well you're not taking matt gates off the board okay because matt gates is an american patriot and matt

00:27:47.180 gates is an american hero he's the only voice up there that consistently on so many topics as i say in sports

00:27:55.020 he's got range and depth and trust me we will not let it happen short break

00:28:01.900 to the new york island from the redwood forest through the gulf stream waters

00:28:11.740 this land was made for you and me

00:28:16.220 as i went walking that ribbon of highways

00:28:21.020 i saw above me that endless skyway

00:28:26.860 covidtaxrelief.org got a small retail business almost eighty thousand dollars

00:28:34.940 covidtaxrelief.org got a manufacturing business nearly 250 grand and covidtaxrelief.org

00:28:44.940 just got a large distribution business almost nine hundred thousand dollars if you run a business

00:28:52.860 church or non-profit and paid your employees through all or part of the pandemic you could qualify

00:29:00.780 for up to twenty six thousand dollars per employee through the government's cares act but beware of

00:29:08.220 clickbait or pay upfront companies who make you do the work and take a huge percentage of your refund

00:29:14.940 covidtaxrelief.org receives a low reasonable commission only after you receive your refund

00:29:22.140 and with 300 cpas and tax experts no one is better at getting you the maximum benefit than covidtaxrelief.org

00:29:31.580 visit covidtaxrelief.org now because this plan expires soon that's covidtaxrelief.org

00:29:39.820 covidtaxrelief.org the refund examples are not a guarantee and not all businesses qualify

00:29:47.980 that's why you have to check today with covidtaxrelief.org

00:29:54.300 here's your host stephen k bann

00:29:59.180 okay i'll have more to say about uh gauge tomorrow at um at turning point and then again on monday or if

00:30:05.980 we drill down on this because this is uh very important they're trying to take out your leaders

00:30:11.740 uh ben i know you gotta bounce i appreciate you staying up this late where do people get and we'll

00:30:15.580 get in more to it on on monday and next week because there's a lot going on here you've done

00:30:20.220 extraordinary coverage of this entire situation also i gotta talk about the rise of the right-wing

00:30:24.060 parties new york times all over it we've got a bunch of analysis we'll get to that next week too

00:30:28.460 how do people get to you ben over the weekend thank you so much steve uh my social media platform of

00:30:34.300 choice is getter and folks can find me there simply by typing in my surname harnwell at harnwell and

00:30:41.900 also by registering for our exclusive uh newsletters which i will try which i write as well as uh joe allen

00:30:49.260 um for war room.org just you asked you asked a rhetorical question what reward will there be for

00:30:55.020 matt gates earlier i want to say uh just before i before i jump that i think he'll be speaker one day

00:31:01.100 uh and the reason i think he's going to be speaker is because the uni party knows that it's time is

00:31:07.020 coming to an end it knows it's lost people's support and just just look at what they did um

00:31:14.140 what they announced a couple a couple days ago uh little marco rubio and tim kane are presenting

00:31:20.300 um a bill to stop a future president i.e donald trump uh from taking america out of nato they know

00:31:28.220 that it's moving beyond their grasp uh so i think that uh matt gates obviously won't see it as a

00:31:33.820 reward but i i i think things are changing um very quickly um and that um that is the way things will

00:31:41.660 go i think the day that uni party hacks like kevin mccarthy will be able to sit there and manipulate

00:31:48.220 things while pretending to do exactly the opposite those days are coming to a close steve

00:31:52.700 i 100 agree with you ben harnwell quite astute observation thank you ben thank you for staying

00:32:00.380 up and being with us appreciate it god bless ben harnwell from rome um i've got a cold open i want

00:32:07.500 to make sure everybody that the durban this whole ndaa one of the reasons not just the woke it's the 0.96

00:32:13.580 scale of it another trillion dollars right that only leads to more trouble um and i'm all for a strong

00:32:19.820 national offense trust me and a great navy but this is not getting you that it's not if i thought

00:32:24.940 it was i would support it i don't support it because it's not getting us there make sure you

00:32:29.660 go to birchgold.com slash bannon get the summary of the end of the dollar empire you need it as a

00:32:35.100 quick study because everything is happening in durban on monday i'm carving out time for day bratt

00:32:40.380 we're going to go through the counter argument of krugman and the new york times crowd that says hey

00:32:44.620 the de-dollarization is not as bad as you think and although these guys are meeting in uh durban

00:32:49.820 and they're coming up with the alternative currency and that currency is going to have some sort of

00:32:53.100 gold backing it's nothing to worry about well we beg to differ and we're going to go through it but

00:32:57.580 get the summary make sure look you got up to speed on the debt ceiling became a force in that that's

00:33:01.820 where this firefight continues uh and you're going to be a bigger force in this issue about this

00:33:07.100 alternative currency also you can find out why the central banks are buying gold with both hands in 22 and

00:33:12.540 23. uh ed dowd also going to join us he's going to have assessment of the economy next hour also

00:33:17.980 some brutal news coming out of the uk on uh early deaths okay i've got joe allen he has an amazing

00:33:24.060 cold open let's play joe allen's cold open they're going to bring in joe but i like i would be surprised

00:33:29.340 if we do if we do if there is not digital super intelligence in roughly the five or six year time

00:33:34.540 frame this is all forecasting it's all modeling it's all it's all future prediction it's all future

00:33:39.820 hypothesizing it's not science the policies that are being called for right to prevent this are of

00:33:46.860 extraordinary magnitude and i think we're going to cause extraordinary damage so the moment you say

00:33:50.940 is going to kill all of us therefore we should ban it or that we should uh regulate all that

00:33:55.580 constant that's when it starts getting serious or start you know military airstrikes on data centers

00:33:59.740 oh boy they have a hard time avoiding violence the reason they have a hard time avoiding violence is if

00:34:03.340 you actually believe the claim right then what would you do to stop the end of the world

00:34:09.260 you would do anything right since 2001 i've been working on what we would now call the problem of

00:34:15.260 aligning artificial general intelligence how to shape the preferences and behavior of a powerful

00:34:21.100 artificial mind such that it does not kill everyone nobody understands how modern ai systems do what they

00:34:29.180 do they are giant inscrutable matrices of floating point numbers that we nudge in the direction of better

00:34:34.220 performance until they inexplicably start working at some point the company is rushing headlong to

00:34:39.500 scale ai will cough out something that's smarter than humanity nobody knows how to calculate when

00:34:44.860 that will happen if i had more time i'd try to tell you about the predictable reasons why the current

00:34:49.900 paradigm will not work to build a super intelligence that likes you or is friends with you or that just

00:34:56.060 follows orders my prediction is that this ends up with us facing down something smarter than us that

00:35:02.780 does not want what we want that does not want anything we recognize as valuable or meaningful humanity is not

00:35:09.740 approaching this issue with remotely the level of seriousness that would be required some of the

00:35:14.940 people leading these efforts have spent the last decade not denying that creating a super intelligence

00:35:20.460 intelligence might kill everyone but joking about it my best bad take is that we need an international

00:35:26.300 coalition banning large ai training runs including extreme and extraordinary measures to have that ban be

00:35:33.740 actually and universally effective like tracking all gpu sales monitoring all the data centers being willing to

00:35:41.180 risk a shooting conflict between nations in order to destroy an unmonitored data center in a non-signatory country

00:35:47.420 i say this not expecting that to actually happen i say this expecting that we all just die the more

00:35:56.060 and more you have drones they're becoming more and more autonomous you can start imagining okay what

00:36:01.500 does that actually look like and what's the actual threat of autonomous weapon systems how does it go wrong

00:36:06.380 i think it should be required right so that's no no no i think if you're required that only aerial vehicles

00:36:11.100 are automated okay so you want to go the other way i want to go the other way okay i think it's obvious

00:36:14.700 that the machine is going to make a better decision than the human pilot i think it's obvious that

00:36:18.060 it's in the best interest of both the attacker and the defender and humanity at large if machines are

00:36:21.260 making more of these decisions and not people i think people make terrible decisions in times of

00:36:24.620 war this goes back to the this is that whole thing about like the self-driving does the self-driving

00:36:28.300 car need to be perfect versus does it need to be better than the human driver yeah does the

00:36:31.660 automated drone need to be perfect or does it need to be better than a human pilot at making decisions

00:36:36.460 under enormous amounts of stress and uncertainty you know as a prosthetic um you know so like you've got

00:36:40.700 glasses you've got a wristwatch you know you've got shoes you know you've got these things you've

00:36:44.700 got a personal computer you've got a word processor you've got mathematica you've got google this is

00:36:50.300 the latest view through that lens the ai is the latest in a long series of basically augmentation

00:36:55.340 methods uh to be able to raise human capabilities it's just this one is the most powerful one of all

00:36:59.580 because this is the one that goes directly to what they call fluid intelligence which is iq and i think the

00:37:04.620 first part of this issue that should be articulated is ai is kind of a fancy thing it's first of all

00:37:10.620 it's two letters it means artificial intelligence if this was a a netflix series or something uh i'd say

00:37:17.580 the the the season finale would be a showdown which between the wet the western china and the series finale will 0.69

00:37:24.940 be a gi wow uh joe you might have outdone yourself and cold opens quite powerful uh since um elon musk has

00:37:38.860 told us that artificial general general intelligence is five the singularity there is five to six years

00:37:44.780 away at most that makes it on our current time horizon 25 30 40 years 50 years before other people

00:37:51.980 have said it's going to happen walk me through what we just heard in relation to that well steve i i

00:37:59.100 think we try our best to show two different angles uh sometimes that's day to day sometimes at the same

00:38:05.500 day this is the most extreme viewpoint on ai doom that's eliezer yudkowski we've covered him extensively

00:38:13.340 on the other end you have mark andreessen uh very very intelligent uh has been at the forefront

00:38:20.380 of technological development uh since uh you know before i was able to touch a computer so he's not

00:38:26.780 to be discounted by any means but he's on the far end of that techno optimist spectrum and the three

00:38:35.820 key takeaways there uh first the idea of ai doom is it possible to create an artificial intelligence

00:38:44.860 that is so strong that is so powerful that it actually turns on its makers and for either its

00:38:52.300 own goals or just simply because of a glitch starts destroying people the second is that issue of

00:38:59.420 lethal autonomous weapons uh that would be drones that would be even missile systems that would be

00:39:06.780 gun turrets it could be many many different things but an ai that makes the decision to kill or not to

00:39:12.940 kill and the the third and it is really i think uh it sits in the background of all this it goes

00:39:19.340 into everything you and ben harnwell we're talking about and everything you've been talking about uh

00:39:24.940 for a decade plus the looming confrontation with china coupled with the confrontation going on right now

00:39:34.220 with russia so you take all those together you look at this concept of turning over human 0.67

00:39:41.660 decision making of life or death decisions to weapon systems such as drone swarms such as automated gun

00:39:50.380 turrets with facial recognition or ip address recognition and you couple that with the arms race 0.55

00:39:57.100 between the us and china also the us and russia and put on top of all of that right that as if that

00:40:05.500 wasn't a disturbing enough prospect because there are many people pushing for that including eric schmidt

00:40:11.500 former google ceo uh you put on top of that the the possibility of an ai system that either because

00:40:19.660 of its super intelligence or just because it's being handed control it glitches out and starts killing

00:40:24.300 people uh and and that is the conversation we hope to bring the war room audience into and we hope

00:40:32.220 that more and more politicians are paying attention to because as we heard there are our artificial

00:40:37.500 intelligence czar uh kamala harris is struggling to keep up there are some that aren't josh howley uh i

00:40:44.940 think is really really astute on this and in his uh twitter space with elon musk mike gallagher of

00:40:51.980 wisconsin representative from wisconsin wisconsin showed himself to be very very informed on this

00:40:57.740 and honestly the democrat uh from california roe connor did as well so hopefully more and more

00:41:04.540 politicians who are going to be at the center of legislating this are paying attention to it but

00:41:10.060 those three elements the conflicts already happening geopolitically the push to put autonomous lethal

00:41:19.900 weapons out on the battlefield making life or death decisions and then sitting in the background of that

00:41:25.580 the possibility of an imminent singularity or something like it in which an ai system has more control and

00:41:33.420 and in many ways better pattern recognition than any human being on earth

00:41:41.100 i want to go to these three and get our audience up to speed on what's going to be uh

00:41:44.620 and you can already tell in dc it's a major part of the conversation when you talk about the autonomous

00:41:49.580 systems let's do that first before we go to break they're essentially saying you heard it in there

00:41:54.380 that the machine the computer the algorithm is always going to be smarter than the human under that

00:42:00.460 type of stress and so whether it's combat pilots or even humans working drones these lethal autonomous

00:42:05.980 systems and i can tell you in the weapons labs this is what they're hurtling towards

00:42:10.780 that that is going to be that's going to take over to a large extent the modern battlefield uh joe allen

00:42:17.820 yes uh if denver can throw it up we've got only got just a minute to talk about it but uh bloomberg

00:42:22.300 reported last week about five different large language models that are being tested right now

00:42:28.140 in a military exercise run with of course the department of defense and the purpose is to

00:42:34.140 literally look to the artificial intelligence system as an advisor in an active battle scenario then of

00:42:40.940 course you have the lethal autonomous systems that are being right now developed by darpa and

00:42:45.980 particularly it's there it's the independent startups that they contract out to uh one of

00:42:51.900 those that i just mentioned eric schmidt is starry we've covered him a lot it's in my book uh eric

00:42:58.380 schmidt is at the forefront of pushing for lethal autonomous systems to be out of the human loop and his

00:43:06.060 reasoning is that if we don't do it china will do it or some other nation will do it and therefore they

00:43:11.180 will have a superior military that's the rock in a hard place that he's presenting okay hang on

00:43:18.140 hang over a second the book is dark eon get it uh not only will you be the smartest person at the

00:43:25.100 backyard barbecue or at the dinner table on all things the transhumanism the singularity

00:43:32.140 artificial intelligence but you'll also be the most informed citizen because this is going to be

00:43:37.180 a major topic in politics culture civilization society business all of it uh joe's book is the

00:43:44.140 best compendium to think through help you think through this great uh frame of reference short

00:43:50.140 break joe allen on the other side something most americans have not heard about the usda recently

00:43:56.140 revealed that in america's breadbasket states countless crops planted last season won't be harvested this

00:44:03.100 season thanks to extreme weather conditions and worldwide fertilizer shortages those crops didn't

00:44:09.660 stand a chance this means food shortages and higher prices at the grocery store are ahead that's why now

00:44:16.380 is the time to stock up on emergency food from my patriot supply the nation's largest preparedness company

00:44:57.100 don't put off your preparedness tomorrow could be a day too late go to mypatriotsupply.com right now

00:45:04.620 that is mypatriotsupply.com take action action action use your agency do it today and everybody

00:45:13.740 knows why you won't answer it because to every to the millions of people who will see this they know

00:45:18.940 it is and your inability to acknowledge that is deeply revealing about you but let's go from

00:45:24.300 the uncurious to the downright nosy how many illegal fisa queries have occurred under your leadership

00:45:34.460 they're coming for matt gates just remember that so we've got another members of 30 front war the

00:45:39.260 heroes and patriots they're always going to come for they're coming from matt gates they're not going 0.93

00:45:42.940 to get matt gates and as ben harnwell said i believe matt gates will be speaker of the house

00:45:47.180 one day and i can tell you if he was speaker of this house you'd see a lot more action to saving

00:45:51.980 this nation that's why they're coming for him they don't want the matt gates think back over the think 0.98

00:45:57.020 back since um just january don't even go to last year when he called the shot about what was going to

00:46:02.140 happen in the election just take from january to uh to everything he's following the floor to the fbi

00:46:08.620 the doj the questioning the ndaa look at look at the actions of matt gates and compare that to

00:46:14.860 mccarthy's leadership team it's a disgrace absolutely disgrace and of course they're coming

00:46:19.820 for him uh joe allen the reason i want to go i want to go so the push is to do these lethal autonomous

00:46:26.620 systems if you do these lethal autonomous systems now let's say you start deploying them in the very

00:46:32.220 short term in the next year or two where they are actually independent and and working without

00:46:36.940 human constraint on the battlefield what happens then when we hit artificial if we hit artificial

00:46:44.460 general intelligence uh by the time that elon musk comes in how does that then we have lethal

00:46:52.860 autonomous systems that could be truly autonomous including turning on its own makers sir is that is

00:47:00.220 that is that the conundrum we're in right now it's very very difficult to to call whether or not

00:47:06.940 artificial general intelligence or anything like that is actually just over the horizon what i can

00:47:13.180 say without a doubt is that the rate of progress is definitely accelerating and the incentive to make

00:47:21.340 that progress accelerate even more rapidly is is that ai arms race both both on the corporate level

00:47:28.620 within america and between nations but also on the national security front uh militaries around the

00:47:35.020 world are working on this but the chinese military especially it's really important to remember too

00:47:40.220 that the chinese ai systems with the exception of their surveillance systems and a few others they

00:47:46.060 really are way behind the us so far as anybody here knows the problem is is that it doesn't take much it

00:47:53.580 wouldn't take that much of a technology transfer to china let's just say that there was a a technocratic 0.56

00:47:59.740 transhumanist billionaire who had close ties with china uh just hypothetically speaking right like

00:48:05.500 elon musk or someone like that um but if that technology transfer would allow them to catch up very very

00:48:10.780 quickly especially if the u.s was slowing down the real problem as i see it this push that it's really a

00:48:19.100 fundamental ideology the idea that a an artificial intelligence system that is sufficiently advanced will

00:48:27.740 be superior to human decision makers and that that artificial intelligence system will basically

00:48:34.140 function sort of like a god on earth it will be deferred to its decision making will be like the

00:48:41.100 law givers of old right like like hammurabi or something uh it will be the the final word there's a large

00:48:49.180 there's a very wide spectrum on this but you could hear there with mark andreessen this this this

00:48:54.540 this exultant sort of uh optimism that the ai systems will in fact progress as quickly as guys

00:49:01.820 like dodkowski say they will but rather than warning that they will perhaps have different interests than

00:49:07.900 our own and kill everybody or at least some people or take us over and enslave us andreessen believes that 0.80

00:49:13.420 they should be used for education to make human beings smarter that they should be used for augmentation

00:49:18.700 the same purpose as people go through their life ai becomes this sort of lens by which decisions are made

00:49:25.980 then of course once you hit a point of where the ai on all domains artificial general intelligence

00:49:33.180 um he doesn't believe that that's coming by the way but many do you get to that you then have this techno cult

00:49:41.100 exalting this this god on earth this artificial intelligence god that's what google is working

00:49:46.940 towards pretty much openly that's what open ai is working towards quite openly and a number of other ai

00:49:55.020 companies and startups definitely have that goal in mind and that cult underneath it is very very

00:50:01.020 important because the the more people and especially the more influential people that are in that techno

00:50:07.100 cult call it transhumanism call it optimization call it long-termism call it whatever the more people

00:50:13.580 of influence that are in that techno cult exist and have control and are pulling the levers in society

00:50:19.260 the closer we will come to total technocracy in which either a machine is making this the decisions or

00:50:26.700 just as likely the elites who are in control of those autonomous machines make the first decision and then

00:50:34.380 implement those decisions through the technocratic system below uh joe allen the book is dark eon
