00:01:39.000 And first off, I just want to get to the guts of things.
00:01:42.000 I've been having a few of our evangelical friends on.
00:01:45.000 Bill Federer and Ralph Reed was on yesterday.
00:01:47.000 And David Barton, some superheroes.
00:01:50.000 And then on the Catholic side, I just want you to let our viewers know how important.
00:01:57.000 Eighty percent of Americans still affiliate themselves, identify themselves as Christian.
00:02:04.000 So that's some uplifting news.
00:02:07.000 The bad news is a lot of the evangelicals and Catholics are not registered to vote.
00:02:12.000 But I get the sense things are changing.
00:02:14.000 There is a sense of urgency.
00:02:16.000 And how would you stress that sense of urgency to our Catholic brothers and sisters out there
00:02:22.000 who need to defend the Republic as well?
00:02:25.000 Yeah, well, Dave, thanks for having me.
00:02:27.000 You know, the men you just mentioned are all friends and colleagues of mine.
00:02:31.000 And the reasons they give for Christians to be out there in the voting booth 0.98
00:02:35.000 are exactly the same spiritual, doctrinal, biblical, theological reasons that Catholics believe in.
00:02:41.000 Catholics cannot consider themselves exempt from the spiritual duty to change the world. 0.98
00:02:46.000 Jesus told us, teach the nations to carry out everything that I have commanded you.
00:02:51.000 It's not just about the salvation of souls.
00:02:53.000 It's about the salvation of bodies, of nations, of institutions, of relationships,
00:02:58.000 a salvation of politics, the transformation of politics.
00:03:02.000 What I would say to Catholics is, look, if we believe in the church, first of all,
00:03:06.000 if we want the church to survive, we better get out there and vote those Democrats out of power.
00:03:11.000 Because this may seem extreme to some people.
00:03:14.000 But when you look at what the Democrats do, Dave, I had to go to the Supreme Court.
00:03:19.000 My ministry, Priest for Life, was at the Supreme Court together with, you know,
00:03:23.000 we hear about all the time the Little Sisters of the Poor and the Biden administration
00:03:27.000 when it tried to force them to fund contraceptives.
00:03:30.000 They were doing the same thing to the priests.
00:03:33.000 We were in that case, too.
00:03:34.000 Wow.
00:03:35.000 And so the fact of the matter is, look, it doesn't matter how exaggerated this sounds.
00:03:39.000 These radical, left-wing, godless, anti-life Democrats want to destroy the freedom of the church.
00:03:46.000 So I say to Catholics, if you want to be able to walk into your church on Sunday morning,
00:03:51.000 or for those clergy who say, oh, well, it's not about politics.
00:03:54.000 It's just about preaching the gospel.
00:03:56.000 I say to them, if you want the freedom to get up into that pulpit to preach the gospel,
00:04:00.000 then get yourself into the voting booth and get your congregation there, too,
00:04:04.000 and get these godless Marxist Democrats out of power once and for all.
00:04:09.000 It's the teaching of common sense.
00:04:11.000 And then it's the teaching of the Catholic faith.
00:04:13.000 If you look at the Catechism, if you look at the Second Vatican Council,
00:04:16.000 if you look at the encyclicals of St. John Paul II, even Pope Francis,
00:04:20.000 they're always saying to us, get involved in politics.
00:04:24.000 That's not because the church is a political party.
00:04:26.000 It's not.
00:04:27.000 It's because the church bears witness to the kingdom of God,
00:04:31.000 and political parties and nations are responsible to that kingdom of God.
00:04:36.000 Dave, that's it in a nutshell.
00:04:38.000 And that's no less applicable to Catholics than to any other Christians across the board.
00:04:43.000 Yeah, Father, I think that is about as well put as I've ever heard.
00:04:50.000 It's phenomenal.
00:04:52.000 And, you know, our other friends that come on the show,
00:04:55.000 I think it's also important in the Bible, right?
00:04:59.000 Romans 13, a lot of people use that as a text to be passive, right?
00:05:04.000 Obey your rulers, you know, just obey the president.
00:05:07.000 And in this country, in our Constitution, we the people are the sovereign.
00:05:13.000 The only mistake the founders might have made is not putting God in there as the sovereign in some sort of status.
00:05:20.000 So they they put us as the full sovereign and set up the government.
00:05:25.000 And so what is our duty as as the sovereign?
00:05:29.000 We the people, right?
00:05:30.000 We're over the president.
00:05:31.000 We're over.
00:05:32.000 I was in Congress.
00:05:33.000 We the people are over the Congress.
00:05:36.000 And so how does how does the Catholic Church put that into play?
00:05:41.000 Well, we make a distinction.
00:05:43.000 We're not here to establish a theocracy.
00:05:45.000 We don't want the law to imprison or find people because they don't believe in the Holy Trinity.
00:05:50.000 But what we do say is, like Jesus said, there's a hierarchy.
00:05:54.000 You give to Caesar what is Caesar's.
00:05:55.000 You pay taxes as long as the money isn't being abused.
00:05:59.000 You you you obey just laws.
00:06:02.000 You know, you you predict part in elections, but then give to God what is God's.
00:06:07.000 And so the point of the matter is that that every nation is obliged to to respect the basic moral law.
00:06:14.000 You're not instituting a denomination by law, but you are protecting basic human rights, starting with life.
00:06:20.000 It's all based on life.
00:06:22.000 The protection of people's private property, the protection against theft and stealing and fraud and deception.
00:06:29.000 All of these are fundamental aspects of the law of God.
00:06:33.000 And so what we're responsible to do as sovereigns is to make sure, like we see all throughout the Bible, that the nation is observing the laws of God.
00:06:42.000 Otherwise, the nation gets destroyed.
00:06:45.000 Why did the Babylonians come in and end up burning the temple and taking the people into exile?
00:06:50.000 The prophet Jeremiah was considered a traitor because he said, hey, folks, don't fight the Babylonians.
00:06:56.000 They are actually an instrument of God punishing you because you broke the covenant.
00:07:01.000 So it wasn't because of political or military miscalculations.
00:07:04.000 It was because they were unfaithful to the covenant.
00:07:07.000 We in America have a covenant with God, too.
00:07:10.000 I mean, we're believers.
00:07:11.000 We believe in the covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ.
00:07:13.000 But our founders acknowledged the God of the universe and his laws and his providence and his protection.
00:07:20.000 We've got an obligation.
00:07:21.000 Otherwise, there's no guarantee that the nation survives.
00:07:24.000 Yeah, I think that's spot on.
00:07:28.000 It's amazing how much we all share in common.
00:07:31.000 We quibble over the finer points.
00:07:33.000 But I think I can probably go out on a limb and assume that Father Frank Pavone believes in about every word of the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed.
00:07:43.000 All the basics are spelled out there.
00:07:46.000 And then in the Bible, God's laid out there are two kingdoms.
00:07:49.000 There's a kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light, the kingdom of goodness and the kingdom of evil.
00:07:55.000 And then there's three spheres.
00:07:56.000 He just spelled it out.
00:07:58.000 There's at the highest level, there's the nation state.
00:08:01.000 And then there's the church.
00:08:03.000 And then there's the family.
00:08:05.000 And we don't want the nation state running the church.
00:08:08.000 And we don't want the church running the nation state.
00:08:10.000 And so there's just broad agreement.
00:08:13.000 And the geniuses back at the founding laid this all out very carefully.
00:08:18.000 It served us very well.
00:08:21.000 And so, Father, how do you call people to action along these lines?
00:08:29.000 The sense of urgency, what should they be doing?
00:08:32.000 What should Catholics and all Christians be doing? 1.00
00:08:35.000 Well, right now, it's get out the vote time, as you well know.
00:08:38.000 Early voting has begun.
00:08:39.000 We want to urge people to get out and vote early.

00:11:13.000 How do you call balls and strikes there?
00:11:15.000 Andy Puzder.
00:11:16.000 That's a great question, Dave.
00:11:18.000 Thanks, and that's a good way to start.
00:11:20.000 You know, Vice President Harris has been promising what she calls an opportunity economy.
00:11:26.000 But the only way the American people ever end up with opportunity is if there's economic growth.
00:11:31.000 And we know President Trump from his first term in office advocated for economic growth and produced it by reducing taxes, which encourages investment in consumer spending, by cutting business-killing regulations, which again encourages investment, and by encouraging domestic oil production, which really gets the price of everything down.
00:11:51.000 We get energy costs down.
00:11:53.000 We lower the cost not only of heating and cooling our homes and putting gas in our car, but everything has to be delivered.
00:11:59.000 And those delivery costs go down, the price of your goods go down.
00:12:02.000 And that produced an economy.
00:12:04.000 We hit historic lows in unemployment for every race in both sexes.
00:12:10.000 Family income hit an all-time high.
00:12:14.000 Real wages increased.
00:12:16.000 Poverty declined to historic lows.
00:12:19.000 And we found that income inequality decreased, all while we had no inflation.
00:12:24.000 So this is a very good, a very workable plan.
00:12:27.000 The problem on the Harris side is she's got to come up with a plan that produces economic opportunity. 1.00
00:12:33.000 But on the heels of this incredible inflation that was generated by this massive government spending under the two bills where she was the tie-breaking vote, the so-called American Recovery Act, which is a ridiculous name, and the almost comically named Inflation Reduction Act.
00:12:49.000 And both of those were Harris's bills.
00:12:51.000 Right.
00:12:52.000 So she needs to get away from that. 0.61
00:12:54.000 And she's come up with her policy suggestions are, I'm going to tax unrealized capital gains, which even Roe Kahana, the liberal congressman from Silicon Valley, has come out and said, well, we don't want to do that.
00:13:07.000 And he's a surrogate of hers.
00:13:08.000 Mark Cuban came out and said, well, I've talked to people at the campaign and we're not going to do that.
00:13:12.000 So that's really his defense of this plan is that they're not going to do it.
00:13:17.000 And she wants to give people $25,000 for a down payment on their house, which will just increase housing costs. 1.00
00:13:23.000 It's not really an economic plan.
00:13:25.000 It's a political plan to trying to swage people who can't afford homes because of her policies that somehow they're going to give them a little money to fix that. 1.00
00:13:34.000 And then she's got this price fixing, which even even the very liberal far left anti-Trump Washington Post came out and said, look, if people are accusing you of being a communist, maybe you don't want to suggest price fixing.
00:13:47.000 And she came out with price fixing to address price gouging, which data from her own Department of Labor shows never occurred. 0.92
00:13:55.000 So she does not have a plan to generate economic growth, which means there'll be no economic opportunity. 0.99
00:14:00.000 President Trump does have such a plan and it was very successful in his first term.
00:14:06.000 Yeah, very well said, Andy.

00:16:28.000 Andy Puzder just gave us some good guidance on economic growth.
00:16:34.000 For folks who don't know, the whole world made approximately $1,000 per person for all of human history until about 1776 when the free market system emerged.
00:16:47.000 There's always been markets throughout history, but the free market system came out of, largely speaking, the Judeo-Christian tradition along with a little help from the Enlightenment.
00:16:59.000 And that has brought us up from $1,000 per capita income in the U.S. to about $60,000 or $70,000 per capita.
00:17:06.000 So we're the envy of the world, but our engine is fading right now.
00:17:11.000 Economic growth is not what it used to be.
00:17:13.000 The CBO is projecting our productivity falls for the next 30 years.
00:17:18.000 We cannot have that.
00:17:20.000 Why is that happening?
00:17:22.000 Andy Puzder has been working on that for decades.
00:17:26.000 And so, Andy, I think you see some threats to the free market system in house on this side of the pond within our own country.
00:17:35.000 So why don't you lay out that threat?
00:17:38.000 Thank you, Andy.
00:17:39.000 Well, sure.
00:17:40.000 As you know, we have a republic and we have a free market capitalist economy, and those are both controlled by consumers, by the people.
00:17:47.000 You vote politically and you make purchases.
00:17:50.000 You vote with every dollar you spend as a consumer as to the direction of the economy.
00:17:54.000 There is a group of large asset management firms, BlackRock, State Street, and Vanguard are the principals.
00:18:00.000 They're the three largest.
00:18:02.000 And they now have voting control.
00:18:04.000 They don't actually own the shares.
00:18:06.000 They invest other people's money, but they have voting control.
00:18:09.000 They vote the shares for about where they have the control.
00:18:13.000 They have the largest shareholders in about 97% of the companies, for example, in the S&P 500, which is the largest companies are the largest companies in the United States.
00:18:23.000 So they vote those shares and they've been voting them to advance radical environmentalist policies.
00:18:28.000 They've been using them to advance things like diversity, equity, and inclusion, which Kamala Harris is very much in favor of as she was a diversity or DEI hire, as Joe Biden has admitted.
00:18:39.000 But rather than merit-based hiring, they want to have race and sex-based hiring.
00:18:45.000 Rather than a political system where we determine what kind of actions we want to take with respect to the environment, they want to impose on us their views of what they think is best for us by voting the shares of the companies in which they've invested to take actions which implicate the entire economy.
00:19:04.000 They affect the entire economy, they affect all of us, and they don't have to go through messy things like elections.
00:19:10.000 They just decide on their own how they're going to vote these shares, and they're really accountable to nobody.
00:19:15.000 So it's a threat to our republic, and it's a threat to our free market economy, and it's something that we seriously need to address.
00:19:23.000 Yeah, so that's high-level thinking.
00:19:28.000 Some of the folks just want to know what's the bottom line.
00:19:32.000 Give a couple examples.
00:19:34.000 So when they're voting the shares, how do they put pressure on CEOs?
00:19:39.000 Why do some CEOs feel intimidated?
00:19:42.000 And what's at stake at the micro level in a way the average person who works for a firm can understand what's going on?
00:19:49.000 Well, whenever you run a company, particularly a publicly traded company, you're very concerned about what your largest shareholder wants because your largest shareholder elects directors to your board of directors, and those directors can support you or they can fire you.
00:20:03.000 So you're very interested in meeting the needs of your largest shareholders.
00:20:08.000 We've got a company out there, America's largest energy company.
00:20:11.000 It's called Exxon.
00:20:12.000 Back in 2021, they had an election where a very small group of shareholders, a small hedge fund, wanted to put environmentalists on Exxon's board of directors.
00:20:22.000 Well, everybody thought it was a joke.
00:20:24.000 Why would you put environmentalists on an oil company's board of directors?
00:20:28.000 That's certainly not going to help the company be profitable and generate returns for its investors.
00:20:33.000 But BlackRock, State Street and Vanguard, they were the largest shareholders in Exxon.
00:20:38.000 They all voted to put those environmentalists on the board.
00:20:41.000 And then Exxon ended up with environmentalists on its board of directors.
00:20:45.000 And it gets worse, by the way.
00:20:47.000 Not only did they have environmentalists on their board, but within a year they passed a resolution internally that they would adopt a net zero carbon emissions by 2050 policy.
00:20:59.000 So what you have is they forced America's largest energy producer, its largest energy company, to adopt a policy that prohibits the use of or would exclude the use of the product that justifies that company's existence.
00:21:15.000 And it didn't happen because there was legislation passed that required it.
00:21:20.000 It didn't happen because consumers don't want to use oil products that that's across the country across the world.
00:21:25.000 That's increasing.
00:21:26.000 And it didn't happen because the people that actually own those shares wanted their company to do something that would hurt the value of that company.
00:21:33.000 It happened because BlackRock, State Street and Vanguard had voted with this small hedge fund and now Exxon.
00:21:39.000 And by the way, Chevron and Mobile now have these policies, too, where they're actually putting in place a policy that denigrates the very product that justifies their existence because they have had to pursue these radical environmentalist policies.
00:21:53.000 So it's a very dangerous message to other CEOs when that happens, you know, if we can get Exxon and we can go after Exxon, you know, we can go after you.
00:22:02.000 So you better listen to what we have to say.
00:22:04.000 Yeah.
00:22:05.000 And the American people are just starting to catch on here.
00:22:10.000 I think all political views are my own.
00:22:12.000 But I think Harris made a remark a week or two ago and said, look, I got all the Fortune 100 firms are backing me.
00:22:20.000 There's a fundamental populist revolution going on in this country, right?
00:22:25.000 The Republicans now are getting the black, brown, blue collar voters.
00:22:30.000 We just went over the new Philly data.
00:22:33.000 The lower on the income spectrum they are, the more they're moving to the Republican Party.
00:22:38.000 The percentage of folks over 52 percent of our counties have folks getting 25 percent of their income from the government.
00:22:48.000 The Magnificent Seven, with the exception of Elon, all of them are on the left.
00:22:54.000 And so I think your logic is explaining that movement.
00:22:59.000 Give us a little hope that the American people are catching on and we're going to start voting with our pocketbooks.
00:23:06.000 Andy.
00:23:07.000 Yeah, we've seen red states.
00:23:09.000 Republican states have now passed legislation saying that you can't vote shares.
00:23:14.000 You can't invest other people's money or vote shares based on your political views.
00:23:18.000 It violates your duty to your investors.
00:23:20.000 So that's been a big positive.
00:23:22.000 And we have some states like Texas that has come out with legislation saying you can't act against oil companies.

00:24:21.000 So you've really got a bunch of hypocrites trying to run the rest of us by using environmental policies to seize control of the economy.
00:24:29.000 And this is happening not only in the United States, but across the globe.
00:24:33.000 But in the United States, we are resisting.
00:24:35.000 And one of the big issues economically across the globe now is the United States' resistance to this ESG investing.

00:33:29.000 And so whenever whenever the Atlantic calls out one of the patriots, they get my attention.
00:33:34.000 Bill, what was the Atlantic up to in that article?
00:33:37.000 And give us go into detail on what you think they're trying to achieve.

00:33:44.000 The left is upset that some Christians are finally waking up.
00:33:48.000 There's an estimated 80 million Christians in America and only a quarter vote.
00:33:54.000 And if you can just get some more of those to vote, it could impact a lot of the elections because many of them are determined by relatively small margins.
00:34:03.000 But they want to do this attack.
00:34:05.000 And it's something called projection where they blame you for what they're doing.
00:34:09.000 Right.
00:34:10.000 And I wrote a book on socialism.
00:34:12.000 It's called socialism, the real history from Plato to the present.
00:34:15.000 But I go through the Cold War after World War Two.
00:34:18.000 You had countries in Europe that were forming republics, electing leaders and becoming free.
00:34:24.000 And the Soviet Union did not like that.
00:34:26.000 And so they would send in KGB agents to do something called critical theory.
00:34:31.000 It's simply where you observe all the groups in a country, ethnically, Bosnians, Croats, Serbs, religiously, Sunni, Shia, Orthodox, economically, racially.
00:34:41.000 And you would call some victims and others oppressors, haves and have nots.
00:34:45.000 You pit them against each other till they fight.
00:34:48.000 And then when there's emotions, you co-opt the media to blame the current leader of all the problems for all the problems.
00:34:55.000 And then when they drop in popularity, you do a coup or a rigged election.
00:34:59.000 There's 50 years of these tactics being perfected.
00:35:02.000 And I talked to just this past weekend with a former army psyops, military intelligence person.
00:35:10.000 And he said when they would go into a country, the first thing they would do is to eliminate opposition, particularly religiously.
00:35:19.000 And so he talked about going into the Middle East and these different tactics.
00:35:24.000 And then he saw how under Obama in 2012, he authorized using these psychological behavior techniques upon the American population.
00:35:39.000 That's right. Obama signed using these behavioral sciences on the American population.
00:35:45.000 And then in 2016, Obama signed the Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act, which gave the government the authority to censor media and the social platforms and so forth.
00:35:58.000 And but so they want to blame their opposition.
00:36:04.000 It's an interesting military review magazine, the official publication of the U.S. Army, December 1960, had an interesting page in there describing Soviet propaganda.
00:36:18.700 He says, if you do something wrong, accuse your enemy of doing it before he accuses you.
00:36:25.700 The one who makes the accusation first has the advantage.
00:36:29.700 And it explains it's the same as little kids saying, I didn't start to start the fight.
00:36:34.100 You did. You hit me first.
00:36:36.700 And so we have to understand whenever it's October, it's October.
00:36:40.340 This is October surprise time.
00:36:41.760 This is the month where they want to attack their political opponents to try to demotivate them.
00:36:48.660 And so it's it's quite interesting how they are.
00:36:52.760 And it's actually in the Bible.
00:36:54.900 Potiphar's wife accused Joseph of lusting after her when she was lusting after him.
00:36:59.700 And so they want to call Christians intolerant when they're actually the ones who are intolerant.
00:37:05.580 They want to call their oppositions hateful when they're actually hateful.
00:37:08.900 They want to accuse their opponents of stealing the election when evidence shows that they're the ones that are working on that.
00:37:15.540 And so if we look at when Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, she approved uranium one, a fifth of the U.S.
00:37:23.900 Uranium to Russia in exchange for suspiciously lots of an estimated one hundred forty five million dollar contributions from Russian connected sources appeared in her Clinton Foundation.
00:37:37.460 And so what does she do? 0.85
00:37:38.340 She pays for his steel dossier to accuse Trump of exactly what she's guilty of.
00:37:42.640 And then you have Biden on C-SPAN admitting to extortion of Ukraine.

00:37:53.180 They accuse Trump of extorting Ukraine.
00:37:55.820 Biden had classified documents in his garage.

00:37:58.240 They want to stage a visible raid on Trump.

00:38:02.220 They want to accuse him.
00:38:02.960 David Axelrod was a campaign advisor to a previous president.
00:38:09.020 And in 2010, April 19th on NPR, he said in Chicago, there was an old tradition of throwing a brick through your own campaign office window and then calling a press conference to say you've been attacked.

00:38:20.420 So they want to attack us, but they want to be able to push their agenda.
00:38:25.100 And it's obvious when you study these socialist tactics that they're just, since Obama approved it, they're using these tactics against their opposition in America.

00:38:36.820 So color revolutions, first abroad, now domestic.

00:38:52.040 So I went through the 1600s and now you literally had churches founding cities.
00:38:58.240 So the first Baptist church in America founded a city, Providence, Rhode Island.
00:39:03.440 And the first congregationalist church in America founded a city, Hartford, Connecticut.
00:39:08.020 So everybody's involved in church and everybody's involved in city government, right?
00:39:12.620 Because it's the church founding the city.
00:39:14.500 So they actually had one building in each town called the Meeting House.
00:39:17.780 That's where the pastor would teach the Bible and that's where they would do their city business.
00:39:22.520 The word synagogue means meeting house.
00:39:24.840 That's where the rabbi would teach the law and that's where they would do their city business.
00:39:28.600 And so this call is called a covenant form of government that eventually grew into our constitution.
00:39:35.080 And so this is pre the scientific revolution, pre-Age of Enlightenment.
00:39:41.240 These are pastors and churches founding cities right here in America.
00:39:44.080 But in the 1700s, you had a revival movement and they said it's being a Christian is more than doctrine.
00:39:51.500 You have to have an experience with Jesus.
00:39:52.880 But when you have this experiment experience, you're going to withdraw from worldly things like bars and brothels and government.
00:40:00.100 And it started in this concept started in Germany and it turned into the two kingdom concept of the kingdom of the government, the kingdom of the church.
00:40:07.120 The two don't touch.
00:40:08.300 And if you're really spiritual, you're going to withdraw from government.
00:40:11.000 Well, that brings up an interesting situation because if all the spiritual people withdraw, who's left to be involved, but the less spiritual, they're going to yield to their ambitions.
00:40:19.420 Four centuries, four centuries of that teaching in Germany allowed Hitler to seize power. 0.72
00:40:23.840 They put Jews on train cars and the church heard them screaming.
00:40:26.920 And their response was, well, that's the government killing the Jews and we're holy.

00:40:31.120 So let's just sing praise songs louder.

00:40:34.420 And so in my book, Silence Equals Consent, I've been talking about if the church doesn't address these things, it's actually giving its consent to all the evil.

00:40:59.540 Whenever they accuse President Trump of doing something, we then find out not only did President Trump not do it, but they did it, right?
00:41:07.360 So they want to say, you're pushing your religion.
00:41:09.180 Well, you look at the definition of the word religion, and one of them is a belief system.
00:41:13.320 And so they're upset at people pushing a belief system that champions individual liberty, and they're pushing their belief system.
