On today's show, Steve and Eric Bolling talk about the upcoming Trump 100 Day event in Michigan, the potential trade deal with China, and the latest on the stock market. Also, the Dow and S&P 500 hit new records and hit new all-time highs.
00:01:11.620One thing, one thing we can't go to Rio together. You go, you go as the you go as the advance man.
00:01:17.560Yeah, I think it would be it might be a little bit of a problem.
00:01:19.880No, but, you know, since you since you traded oil and gold for a dozen years in the pits, you'd be perfect.
00:01:25.680Go down there. This meeting is so big because we've been warning people for years since we teamed up with Birch Gold to do the end of the dollar empire that this day was coming.
00:01:34.480Remember, this is the thing, you know, and today, John Thune, prior to let you go, Eric, John Thune put out something truthful.
00:01:42.840He said, hey, look, from the Senate's perspective, I'm not so sure we get to this, that this thing's going to be ready for us to really consider until after Memorial Day.
00:01:52.520He said, look, it could be through the summer before you vote.
00:01:55.820This is what I've been saying. People are saying this thing's going to get voted on and sent to the president by Memorial Day are sending the president wishful thinking and we got to get back to reality check.
00:02:05.680And there's no bigger way to give people a reality check than have the bond market sit here, start to opine on the range of options we have.
00:02:14.180Eric, as you know, those options get narrower and narrower every day.
00:02:18.320You know, and that's why I think this real reset is going to be a big deal.
00:02:21.180You know who would love to see the real reset? Not those BRIC countries.
00:02:24.340Besides, China wants to see that. China would love to see the U.S. dollar no longer be the reserve currency because, I don't know, maybe the thing yuan, maybe, who knows, maybe the euro.
00:02:34.480But whatever it is, if it's not the U.S. dollar, that means all those countries that hold U.S. dollars to negotiate trade, currency transactions, are going to have to dump them.
00:02:45.080That is really a lot of selling, like insane selling in the U.S. dollar. It's a scary concept.
00:02:49.560And by the way, you want to be buying gold before that reset in case it happens because $3,300 would look like a cheap price if it does happen.
00:03:00.080This is what we did. You know, the president, as if he doesn't have enough weight on his shoulders right now, to add that one would be unsatisfactory.
00:03:06.200So we all got to pull together. Eric Bolling, look forward to seeing you in the House tomorrow, sir.
00:03:10.140That's going to be fun. 100 days. President Trump's going to go to Michigan, the state that gave him the victory.
00:03:19.260And we're going to cover it wall to wall. Brian Glenn is on Air Force One. Is that amazing? Does that sound great?
00:03:24.660Brian Glenn's on Air Force One. And Steve Gruber is going to be there at the actual event itself and giving us play-by-play commentary.
00:03:34.740And Eric and I will be here. This starts at 3 o'clock tomorrow, where Steve Gruber's show naturally is.
00:03:40.480I think he's going to be doing things at the convention. We'll dial him in as we go.
00:03:45.020OK, remember a couple of weeks ago we had the truckers on here about truck only, truckers that could speak English, right?
00:03:51.960No foreign truckers should be here in the United States of America.
00:03:54.440Well, President Trump's about to go in the Oval in a few minutes and sign an executive order.
00:03:58.280Let's play the cold open and we'll bring the truckers in.
00:04:00.760Well, we fired the first shot back at him in Arkansas.
00:04:05.620We found a state representative here by the name of Wayne Long and a state senator.
00:04:12.820John Payton filed House Bill 1569, which was written.
00:04:17.900It was the Secure Roads and Safe Trucking Act.
00:04:20.800And it was written to require all truck drivers to read and speak the English language.
00:04:24.500It was written to close the loopholes for non-domicile commercial driver's license and to close the loopholes for the foreign commercial driver's license
00:04:32.580and to create felony code for non-citizens that cause injuries and fatalities on our highways.
00:04:38.480Unfortunately, because of political games and shenanigans here in the state of Arkansas, we never even got to present that bill to the committee.
00:04:46.840The Trucking Association put forward another bill, HB 1745, which addressed none of those issues that we just brought up directly.
00:04:56.980All of those issues are still allowed on Arkansas highways.
00:05:03.540The one thing that it did do in the 11th hour was they added English proficiency.
00:05:07.940They put a fine in HB 1745 so that a driver has now fined $500 if he's caught unable to read and speak English.
00:06:26.680And then the third executive order, which actually speaks to the heart of your question earlier about the Uber drivers, will be an order directing the Department of Transportation to include English literacy tests for our truckers.
00:06:39.600This is a big problem in the trucking community that, unless you're in that community, you might not know.
00:06:44.100But there's a lot of communication problems between truckers on the road with federal officials and local officials as well, which obviously is a public safety risk.
00:06:51.940So we're going to ensure that our truckers, who are the backbone of our economy, are all able to speak English.
00:06:58.040That's a very common-sense policy in the United States of America.
00:07:00.960So the president will be signing that later this afternoon.
00:07:59.420Monday, 28 April, Year of Our Lord, 2025.
00:08:02.260We have Shannon Everett from American Truckers Unlimited and Gord McCall, the writer that got us involved with this group.
00:08:12.900So first, Shannon, is this the victory, is this executive order the start of a path to get this thing sorted about foreign truckers competing with American truckers?
00:16:15.380Shannon, with the president obviously taking action here and getting involved in this now, what shape is the American trucking industry in, in your opinion, sir?
00:16:31.840Steve, it's in the worst shape of my 25-year career.
00:16:35.320We're in the midst of a three-year-long freight recession.
00:16:40.040Of course, we call it a supply crisis.
00:16:42.980And that situation has deteriorated rapidly over the past couple weeks as the imports coming into our seaports has started to slow down.
00:16:51.800You know, there's a – I think Gord described it as an accordion effect.
00:16:54.940There's a delay in three to four weeks of transit time and even more in some cases for those shipments to arrive to our ports.
00:17:01.860And so we're starting to feel those effects.
00:17:03.340We really started to see it last week, you know, in my day job, I'm actually running a trucking company.
00:17:10.940And so this advocacy work that we're doing is really just, you know, part-time work that we're doing on the side to do these issues.
00:17:18.680But in my day job, I'm actually, you know, operating a large fleet of refrigerated freight.
00:17:25.080And so I've seen that situation deteriorate in the last couple weeks.
00:17:28.300I've seen it rapidly start to dissolve last week.
00:17:31.220And so we're really predicting that we're headed into, over the next two to three weeks, a crisis for the American trucking industry, I believe, unlike anything that we've ever seen.
00:17:51.720We had hope because we knew that when the factories came back on, that we would have adequate work and that we would have cash flow and a profit margin that would suffice.
00:18:01.580The problem with today's market is there's not much hope for the American trucking industry because we've been in this crisis now for three years before the tariffs conversation even comes to fruition.
00:18:12.860And so my concern right now is that a lot of these special interest groups are going to try to lay the blame of the trucking industry faults on the tariffs, and that's not the case.
00:18:25.560Trucking industry was in shambles long before we ever mentioned tariffs.
00:18:29.580And so it's important that the administration and the cabinet understand that there's going to be people trying to place blame at their feet for something that was done in the prior administration.
00:18:38.500And we need to take action on those things that were done, and so that's what we did, and that's what we lined out in that letter to Secretary Duffy that said, you know, number one, all drivers should have English proficiency for the public safety of our highways.
00:18:53.020But we also had four other things that were right below that that really get into the immigration and the economics and the national security issues that have arisen from all of these.
00:19:03.460And so the second thing was that they need to revoke and ban all of these non-domiciled CDLs that they've issued to non-citizens.
00:19:11.180For 20 years of my career, we did not pass out CDLs at state DMVs to non-citizens of the country.
00:19:20.860The CDL system was maintained for American citizens.
00:19:25.540And so I don't know of any legislation or law that was written in Washington to make it to where these DMVs could start issuing these CDLs to non-citizens.
00:19:34.920It's my understanding that there was some guidelines that were issued by our federal agency down to these state DMVs that took out some ambiguity, removed some language, where they thought, oh, okay, we can take advantage of this loophole now and start issuing this to solve our driver shortage problem.
00:19:53.220And so that should be a loophole that we should be able to close pretty easily because not only do we have national security and safety concerns, but they have flooded the labor market.
00:20:07.640And that's why we coined the term labor dumping.
00:20:10.420The whole purpose of opening up our CDL system was so they could dump in foreign labor at reduced wages to put pressure on the American truck driver.
00:20:19.660And so your American truck driver right now, their standard of living has been greatly reduced over the past couple of years.
00:20:29.480The amount of time that they have to spend away from their family is up.
00:20:32.740And so our American truck drivers are really on their last leg.
00:20:36.080And my biggest concern is if we don't take action on this issue of the oversupply, the effect of the tariffs is going to completely fall on the American truck driver.
00:20:46.740It's going to push the remaining American truck drivers and American trucking companies that we have in the business out right now at this critical time.
00:20:55.800And the replacement cycle that's been going on for the last four years is going to intensify.
00:21:00.160And that's because the American truck driver and the American trucking company can't operate at the same cost level that these foreign operators and these foreign truck drivers can.
00:21:08.040And so the first companies to lose in this tariff engagement are going to be the American truck driver and the American trucking company.
00:22:13.140So when a truck driver gets past the inward immigration zones, which is like, I think it's mile marker 12 on Airstate 35, just north of the border.
00:22:24.200So when you cross the border, you talk to immigration.
00:22:26.580You go a little bit inward, 10 to 12 miles or so.
00:22:29.120You have to talk to immigration again.
00:22:31.080And then once you're past that, you never see another immigration officer.
00:22:34.140DOT officer, state police, they're not allowed to ask you about immigration.
00:22:37.680They're not allowed to ask you for your immigration documents.
00:22:39.920So why are we allowing these drivers past that zone?
00:22:43.740The whole purpose of the commercial trade zone was so that they could use these visitor visas for a guy to simply come across the border, drop his trailer, go back to the foreign country.
00:22:54.460And then if he tried to abuse that, we had a check station 10, 12 miles in that would check his immigration status and say, whoa, you're not supposed to come past this point.
00:23:03.160And at some point over the last 10 years, somebody made a phone call and said, hey, y'all let them through.
00:23:09.060And they just started going through the checkpoints.
00:23:13.800We need common sense back into these drivers operating on visitor visas.
00:23:17.780We need common sense back into this trade between the United States.
00:23:22.780It's not right that we take all of our factories in the United States and move those to Mexico, and we move those up into Canada, and then we insource all of the workers for the truck driving jobs.
00:23:34.480Can we not at least just have the truck driving jobs if you're going to take our factories?
00:23:37.760Can we at least keep our truck driving jobs?
00:23:40.380And so that item right there addresses that.
00:23:44.400And then for the families of Deanne Miller, for the families of LaDanya Bryant, look, we want to say thank you for the victory today for this executive order.
00:23:53.000But we need criminal statutes for these non-citizen drivers who are abusing work visas, who are abusing these CDLs, who don't speak English.
00:24:00.860And then when they're doing all these things knowingly, knowing that they're not qualified, knowing that they're not vetted, knowing that they haven't been properly trained, and they're abusing the system, and they kill somebody like Scott Miller or they kill somebody like Mark Bryant, they need to be held accountable for negligence.
00:24:14.400Right now, these guys are all receiving misdemeanors.
00:24:17.820Our law enforcement agencies don't know what to do.
00:24:20.180Our prosecutors don't know what to do.
00:24:48.560I've got a conference call scheduled later this week to talk about one of these drivers in this pool is on the most wanted list from India, and he's received one of these non-domicized CDLs.
00:24:59.020So how are we vetting people when the people that are driving our trucks here in the United States are on the most wanted list from a foreign country?
00:25:06.460So we know that there's no vetting whatsoever.
00:25:10.460We knew that before we found out about this driver because we saw the licenses that were being issued with made-up birthdates.
00:25:16.580We saw the licenses that were being issued with no first name and with no last name.
00:25:20.840And so there's just really no law and order right now in the CDL issuance to truck drivers here in the United States, and that's why the American trucking industry is being destroyed.
00:25:33.620You cannot have an unlimited amount of supply of drivers come in without it impacting the overall living standards and the conditions for the American trucking company.
00:25:43.480Shannon, how do people find out more about you on social media and how they get to the American Truckers United?
00:25:52.840You can follow us on Twitter at at atutruckers.
00:25:56.340You can also come to our website at americantruckers.com.
00:25:59.880Whether you're a concerned citizen, whether you're a truck driver or a carrier that's on your last leg and looking for support, we've got a great coalition now built of good mom-and-pop trucking companies,
00:26:11.880guys all the way up to 1,000 trucks, 300 trucks, guys as little as 30 trucks.
00:26:16.900And so we're all coming together to kind of spread this message and to bring back greatness to the American trucking industry.
00:26:30.540President Trump is going to be facing a lot of pushback from this.
00:26:34.560Organizations like the ACLU will no doubt stand up and say, hey, migrants and refugees don't need to speak English.
00:26:42.860He's going to get pushback from the Mexican and Canadian governments.
00:26:46.040Canada has a huge problem right now after a decade of the Justin Trudeau regime allowing scams to be operated on their immigration system.
00:26:56.120There's all kinds of truckers in Canada who also don't speak English, and the Canadian government's going to be coming to Trump saying, you can't enforce this on us.
00:27:04.540How can we engage in cross-border trade?
00:27:06.880When Trump needs to fight back and say, you guys need to enforce English proficiency on your own drivers, Trump needs to be prepared.
00:27:15.060He's going to be getting a lot of pushback.
00:29:31.840Okay, we'll get to you now at the White House in a moment.
00:29:34.360We have Robert O'Brien, former national security advisor for President Trump in the first term.
00:29:39.280Robert, you know, Scott Besant today, he's talking about potential architecture of some deals, not final deals, but members of understanding or at least term sheets for Japan, maybe Taiwan, you know, Korea.
00:32:02.040But they don't have a real friendship.
00:32:03.580I think that Modi and Trump have a real friendship.
00:32:05.940And so Modi took Trump by the hands, as they kind of want to do in that region, and held him by both hands and walked him around the arena.
00:32:14.460The Secret Service, their heads exploded, you know, trying to keep up with Modi and Trump walking around the arena.
00:32:22.460And there was this genuine affection between the two of them.
00:32:25.520And then I was on a trip to India, where the president had, I think, the biggest rally he's ever done was over 120,000 people in the largest cricket stadium in the world.
00:32:36.120The whole infield of the cricket stadium was full.
00:32:53.660Again, they walked around the stadium to some extent.
00:32:57.460And so there's a real relationship there.
00:32:59.580And I think India understands, after the Chinese attacked India, you'll recall this in 2019, Steve,
00:33:06.280and they attacked that Indian patrol up in the Himalayas and dismembered the bodies of the Indian soldiers they killed and were quite brutal with them.
00:33:15.040The Indians learned what they were dealing with, the Chinese.
00:33:18.000And the Indians understood that it's only with America and American weapons systems that they can hold off the Chinese.
00:33:24.440And so that alliance has really come together in a way that it had not before.
00:35:37.160And so for many years, there's been a low-level insurgency, sometimes hotter than other times,
00:35:41.440where the terrorists have had sanctuary in Pakistan.
00:35:45.720They've been able to go back across the border and find safety in Pakistan, but then come into Kashmir and attack the Indians.
00:35:52.480And this last terror attack was really a terrible thing.
00:35:55.060They killed 23 Indian tourists in a tourist bus.
00:35:59.780It was a brutal, vicious terrorist attack, as we've seen from jihadis and Salafists all over the world, all over the Middle East, all over Afghanistan.
00:36:08.300And the Indians are really—they've had enough.
00:36:10.360They're not going to put up with this type of terrorism anymore.
00:39:23.820And so I think that you're going to see a steady de-escalation.
00:39:28.080I think the Indians made a very strong point.
00:39:29.980There was some shooting across the border.
00:39:31.780The Indians, you know, took some steps to go after terrorists within India.
00:39:37.120But I think both parties are going to be level-headed enough here to calm it down a little bit.
00:39:44.200As you mentioned, the Pakistanis are unstable politically.
00:39:47.680You know, Imran Khan, the great cricket player, was the Prime Minister.
00:39:51.040He's probably still the most popular politician in Pakistan.
00:39:54.880He gets along quite well with President Trump.
00:39:57.040But he was deposed by the government, the current government.
00:40:00.780And so there's some instability in Pakistan.
00:40:03.520We'll see how that, if that is an impact on how they deal with this, these terror organizations and separatist movements that are finding sanctuary and safety within Pakistan and are attacking India.
00:41:02.280It gives us reach into the Middle East.
00:41:04.120And if we have to attack Iran, the planes will take off from Diego Garcia.
00:41:08.080Now, there's some talk that the U.S. would receive a 99-year base, similar to Guantanamo way in Cuba, even if the Brits gave up the islands.
00:41:16.820But giving up the Chagos Islands is this island chain that's unpopulated to a government that never has governed them.
00:41:26.700And it's not even part of their government.
00:41:28.100But it asserted it's a vestibule of colonialism and they should have the islands instead of the U.K.
00:42:21.920We've got a number of top members that the President announced recently.
00:42:25.580And the idea is to keep an eye on the IC, to suggest reforms to the IC, to go to the president and advise them on how the intelligence community is servicing them.
00:42:36.120And we think there are ways for them to do a better job, to improve and ensure that they operate in compliance with the U.S. Constitution and treat American citizens with their constitutional protections as they should as an intelligence community.
00:42:53.860So it's an advisory board that meets once a month, and it was quite an honor for the President to appoint me.
00:43:01.400There are not a lot of jobs for a former National Security Advisor, but this, Henry Kissinger, a former NSA, Brent Scowcroft, and Zig Brzezinski were all on this board, the PIAB.
00:43:11.500So it's kind of a refugee home for former National Security Advisors.
00:43:16.200It was very good of the President to appoint me.
00:45:44.720In this hemispheric defense from the Panama Canal to Greenland and to clear out the Caribbean of the Chinese Communist Party's navy, Venezuela will be a linchpin in Latin America with Brazil and our allies in Argentina.
00:45:58.500What's your recommendation to the President about Venezuela?
00:46:04.840I think the President's instincts, and I haven't talked to him about this, you know, directly recently, but I think the President's instincts are to get a deal with the Venezuelan government.
00:46:13.280And, look, the government, as you know, in Venezuela's Maduro, he succeeded Chavez, communist, you know, not a great guy, kind of a tough guy.
00:46:22.400Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on.
00:46:24.000But wasn't that counter, isn't that counter, at least to the pre-Robert O'Brien?
00:46:29.140I mean, weren't Bolton and Mike Pompeo?
00:46:32.020They had a coup down there that reminded me of the movie Bananas.
00:46:36.660Remember they had the guys that were going to go, and it was like two companies of guys in green uniform.
00:46:40.980Maduro and these guys are tough hombres, as the President would say.
00:46:45.180Didn't we try to overthrow the government at one time?
00:46:48.480Well, look, there was a purported coup attempt.
00:46:52.080It made the Bay of Pigs look like Normandy.
00:46:55.180It was very unsuccessful and involved in about four or five guys.
00:47:00.100So I don't think it was much of a threat to the Venezuelan government.
00:47:03.040But look, no one likes Maduro or Chavez.
00:47:54.080And it's a million barrels of oil a day.
00:47:55.700So instead of seeing those million barrels go to China, which is, as you know, is the adversary that could affect the lives of our children and grandchildren,
00:48:03.420we want those million barrels a day in America, supporting American manufacturing, giving us energy dominance, allowing us to export some oil to our allies in Japan and Europe.
00:48:14.520So number one, we want to get the oil.
00:48:16.460President Trump is very focused on getting the resources, the minerals, the oil we need to power this golden age of an American economy that he's talking about.
00:48:24.500You know, it's tax cuts, it's deregulation, it's energy dominance, and it's tariffs.
00:48:29.760And the energy dominance part has helped if we do a deal with Venezuela.
00:48:35.120Number two, Maduro let all these bad guys, these gang members come to America.
00:48:41.780He literally emptied out the jails as the president has talked about.
00:48:45.440And we're starting to send them back to El Salvador.
00:48:47.680But we need Maduro to take back all the Venezuelans that are here, the illegal Venezuelans.
00:48:52.720The Venezuelans that are here legally are great citizens.
00:49:23.000You take back your bad folks that you sent here.
00:49:24.920And you kick out the Iranians, you kick out the Russians, and you kick out the Chinese.
00:49:28.620And then we'll deal long-term with the internal governance of Venezuela, obviously supporting the Democrats and give people basic human rights and the rule of law.
00:49:39.540But let's take an American-first approach to Venezuela to start with, which is get the oil, get the bad guys out of our country and back into Venezuela in prisons, let Maduro take care of them, feed and clothe them in jail.
00:49:50.440And let's get the Chinese and Russians and Iranians out.
00:49:54.600And if President Trump can pull off that deal, I think that would be a great thing for the country.
00:49:59.120And probably a little diversion from John Bolton, who wanted to invade Venezuela.
00:50:04.080I understand why he did, but he had the famous tablet with 10,000 troops written on it that he let the press see.
00:50:11.660But I don't think the American people are ready for another war right now.

00:54:32.720I'm one of the co-creators of Sacred Human, and I wanted to share just a little bit more about our brand for those who may not know of us yet.
00:54:39.200But about six months ago, we decided to launch Sacred Human with really the simple mission being to provide American-made natural supplements without all the artificial nonsense.
00:54:49.480So, unfortunately, as many of you know, a lot of these big corporate supplements will include things like preservatives, artificial ingredients, and other additives that really aren't benefiting your health.
00:55:01.000So, that's why we created Sacred Human, really trying to fill this gap with quality supplements, and, of course, the beef liver being our flagship product.
00:55:09.320For those who don't know, beef liver is loaded with highly bioavailable ingredients such as vitamin A, B12, zinc, CoQ10, etc.
00:55:18.200And because it is 100% grass-fed and natural, your body is able to absorb these nutrients far better than taking any other synthetic multivitamin or any other synthetic vitamin in general.
00:55:31.400So, we have some other amazing products, but if you'd like to check us out, you can go to sacredhumanhealth.com, and cheers to your health.
