00:07:31.080It's, you know, fair trade, not free trade. It's strict, you know, on illegal immigration and legal immigration. And it's no foreign intervention. And that is almost diametrically opposed to what the neocon worldview, which had been the main platform of the Republican Party prior to Donald Trump coming in and breaking it over his knee had been.
00:07:55.420And so Scott just represents the old way of doing things. The Mitch McConnell school of thought, the John McCain's will that won. These were people who could not win presidential elections for Republicans. As I always remind people, it really wasn't until Donald Trump comes in and introduces this new platform of MAGA that Republicans win the White House.
00:08:17.380And so I don't have ideological common ground with Scott.
00:08:21.040And my other problem with people like Scott is for people who've been involved in MAGA
00:08:25.280from the beginning and were willing to speak up and say, I like that guy who just came

00:08:32.480And you took so much flack and so much heat for being a part of it from the beginning.
00:08:37.280But a lot of us have stood firm in those beliefs.

00:08:42.740People like Scott, you can go back and look at his past comments, not just on the Iran war, but where he was on Donald Trump 10 years ago and how he's evolved on that position and shapeshifted those positions.

00:09:57.400ideologically about what it is, the Republican party, I don't think it's changed much. They're
00:10:02.020kind of waiting for president trump to leave and they're going to try to go right back to the free
00:10:07.120trade versus fair trade they're going to try to go back to the open borders policies and also uh
00:10:12.800the chamber of commerce policies on immigration and particularly they want to go back and be
00:10:17.240interventions everywhere in the world so in your mind do we have a messaging problem or how are we
00:10:22.660going to combat this because you see between you and jennings on cnn the fight really for the heart
00:10:29.240and soul of the Republican Party and MAGA going forward, ma'am. Yeah, you know, I've come to
00:10:35.260accept, I think now being proudly a part of this movement for the last decade, that it's going to
00:10:40.700continue to be a struggle. I think what you laid out is true. I mean, I saw a lot of the dynamics
00:10:45.060in President Trump's first term, you know, legislatively, where he comes into office with
00:10:50.780this pretty bold governing agenda, pretty clear what we need to get done. And then the congressional
00:10:55.780Republicans come in and basically say, we're doing tax cuts, and that's it. And you've seen
00:11:01.820some of that happen, again, this second term. And everybody's walking around going, oh, well,
00:11:06.460I think the midterms are going to be a struggle. And it's like, yeah, because you guys, the neocons,
00:11:12.220skin suited, and we could have done so much more transformatively legislatively, but you guys don't
00:11:20.020want to do that. So I think there is a part of the Republican Party, and this is why I say when I go
00:11:24.680on CNN and people go, you're hitting another Republican, it's because I don't have a lot
00:11:27.940of common ground with that Republican. So I think independent media helps. I think getting our
00:11:34.980voices out there helps. It is a messaging problem. You've said this before, and I really agree with
00:11:39.880this, and I wish more people would talk about this. You said that the platform that President
00:11:44.120Trump has laid out and that he got elected on has the potential to be FDR-level power for 25 years
00:11:52.180if it's done right. That's how popular the agenda is. And so all you have to do is deliver on that
00:11:59.240agenda and double and triple down on it. And I'm not trying to be reductive. It just really is
00:12:04.280that simple. It's very clear what the American people want. And it's clear that that is pretty
00:12:09.580much diametrically opposed to what the unit party wants. And when you deliver on what the people
00:12:14.220want, you're going to take a lot of pushback, but you're going to deliver and you're going to
00:12:19.300deliver political power for 25 years if you do it right. But my gauge in media for what I know is
00:12:24.680right and what I know is wrong is anytime the Trump administration is pursuing a policy,
00:12:29.840they get a ton of pushback in the media on it, kicking and screaming. So take immigration,
00:12:35.460for example, when I see that they're coming hard after ICE officers, when I see story after story
00:12:40.820from the media kicking and screaming about deportations, I know that we're doing the right
00:12:45.380policy, I know that we're doing the right thing. And anytime I see a policy that the media is
00:12:50.420championing and excited about, or is quiet about, that's how I know we've gotten off course.

00:24:23.300to give too much information, but I will tell you on the Senate race there with Michelle Tafoya,
00:24:27.800her crowd is going to be very happy with what I say. We've got a real horse race with Michelle
00:24:31.260Tafoya. But regarding data centers, let me tell you, overall, overall, 22% approval, 22%. That's
00:24:38.240it for data centers in Minnesota. This is all voters. Among Gen X, 10%, 10% approval, young
00:24:45.440people. Among Trump voters, even though the White House has been generally pretty pro data center,
00:24:49.42034% approval. That's it. 34% approval among Trump voters. Among women, 14%. Independent, 18%. When we say, we ask the question, do these tech companies have to give long-term, and this is key, long-term utility and tax breaks, 75 to 11, the voters of Minnesota say yes.
00:25:11.920By the way, right next door there in Wisconsin, because I just polled Wisconsin, even worse numbers, actually similar, but even worse numbers for data centers in Wisconsin among independents, only 11%, 11% are pro data center.
00:25:26.260And because I poll Wisconsin often, I don't poll Minnesota a lot, because I poll there often, I compared it to a year ago, Steve, a year ago, that number was 47%, from 47% approval to 11% in the last year in Wisconsin, where it's going to be a central issue in the governor's race.

00:37:41.820model is. Now, the New York Times, first off, DHS announced a bunch of additional measures
00:37:46.340yesterday. Walk us through that. Plus, the New York Times is out with another piece today
00:37:51.220going absolutely ballistic on particularly efforts like you and other leaders of the
00:37:57.020voter integrity movement. Ma'am, can you give us your thoughts and observations?
00:38:02.700Well, I want to give a shout out to the Department of Homeland Security because they are taking
00:38:06.840their responsibilities very seriously, their responsibilities under the law established by
00:38:12.040President Obama on his way out the door in 2017, that elections are critical infrastructure. And
00:38:17.900the Department of Homeland Security has a responsibility to mitigate any threats,
00:38:22.440mitigate or eliminate any threats to critical infrastructure. That means any threats to
00:38:27.200elections. And so you will remember that President Trump announced in his state,
00:38:32.820his message to the union, entire country a month ago, that will actually now more than six weeks
00:38:39.600ago, that there were that they had confirmed over 250,000 non-citizens who are registered to vote
00:38:47.360in the states. And that was a preliminary number. There are really more than that. And so the goal
00:38:54.100was the announcement was to get states to take the data from DHS and to go through and make sure
00:39:01.660that those non-citizens, first of all, to confirm their citizenship status, and then if they're
00:39:06.140non-citizens, to get them off the voter rolls. Well, of course, we have all of these governors
00:39:10.580and blue states and election officials and in some red states. So you pick Utah. Oh, my gosh.
00:39:16.280She's a Republican. The lieutenant governor is the chief election official. Deidre Henderson,
00:39:20.280she's terrible. But so what DHS is doing is they're saying, well, if the states aren't going
00:39:25.120to take advantage of our offer to give them this data, we're just going to take the data ourselves
00:39:29.580And we're going to confirm whether these people are or are not citizens. And if they are not citizens, we're going to make sure that they are not mailed or given access to a ballot because, number one, it is a crime for a non-citizen, whether they're here in the country legally or illegally, it is a crime for them to receive a ballot, to vote, to register to vote or to vote.
00:39:52.880And so DHS has assigned its Homeland Security Investigations Department. They have an entire investigations department, HSI, and they have their training agents to go to the state data and to one by one investigate each of these non-citizens that have been identified or potential non-citizens and then to make sure that those people do not vote.
00:40:17.420And if the state officials, state or local officials, facilitate, ignore the notices, ignore the information, and facilitate allowing these non-citizens to vote, they will be prosecuted.
00:40:30.600And that's what DHS training materials were.
00:40:34.680That's what the New York Times is actually having a meltdown over, because they saw the training materials.
00:40:40.660And what I think is hilarious, Steve, this is the best part.
00:40:43.700There is a paragraph in this story in which it says why this is so terrible is that assigning HSI investigators to actually go in and investigate illegal voting, that takes away agents from other responsibilities such as immigration enforcement.
00:41:03.920These are the same people that don't want the immigration laws enforced.
00:41:07.540And now they're saying, oh, my goodness, you're going to go over here and investigate non-citizen voting.
00:41:11.840i just thought that was pretty hilarious let me let me go back which shows you the hypocrisy it's
00:41:18.320like now president trump this is what i keep saying about the debt every all night long they're
00:41:22.300sitting there going you know president trump 40 trillion dollars of debt too it's not trump's
00:41:25.900fault and biden and the democrats the democrats want to spend this in oblivion let me just go
00:41:30.020back to this for a second there there's not a foreign national in the country or an illegal
00:41:35.940alien in the country that thinks they got the right to vote right this is all acts of commission
00:41:41.320These are not acts of omission. And this is why DHS properly needs to be much more aggressive in this.
00:41:48.240And hence, while we've been saying it's to me, it's a foregone conclusion.
00:41:52.760You're going to have to have ICE agents at these polling places.
00:41:56.420Your thoughts about this. And I think DHS is new, more aggressive, you know, angle of attack in this area.
00:42:04.260Yeah, ma'am. Well, I think let's go back to one thing that you said. Here's what's been happening
00:42:09.760in the last decade. And this has been happening in places like Georgia with the horrible Secretary
00:42:15.620of State Brad Raffensperger, count the days until he's out of office. What they've started doing,
00:42:20.180what the states started doing was automatically registering everybody to vote, everybody who
00:42:27.760comes into the DMV. And in some states, anybody who comes into contact with any state agency,
00:42:33.120of any agency of government. They've just been dumping those names into the voter rolls. So it
00:42:38.780is entirely possible, and we have seen evidence of this, where non-citizens, both legal and illegal,
00:42:44.620are getting added to the voter rolls without their knowledge or consent. Or if they check a box and
00:42:49.880say, I'm not a citizen, they get added in anyway. You remember when the governor of New Jersey,
00:42:55.680Jackie Sherrill, had that press conference a few weeks ago, and she said, oh yes, well actually
00:43:00.040there are you know dhs is right there are 6600 non-citizens on the voter rolls that's just the
00:43:05.480tip of the iceberg those are just the ones who checked the box saying i'm not a citizen and got
00:43:09.920registered anyway because then what happens is i mean this is a whole systematic plan
00:43:15.420they get them on the voter rolls the democrats get them on the voter rolls then they send them
00:43:20.600all a ballot and then how is anybody supposed to know that they're not a citizen and those ballots
00:43:25.780get cast and counted. And that's why this dual effort to both get the non-citizens off the rolls
00:43:32.340and to tighten up mail voting is so critical. These are really critical.
