00:03:29.520Super intelligence, again, it's not clearly defined anywhere except for the people wrangling over it.
00:03:37.360But we hear oftentimes that superintelligence would be any system, much like an AI or AGI system, a general intelligence, a system that is able to do anything a human could do plus a lot more and could do it at superhuman levels.
00:03:54.240So one way it's been put, Eric Schmidt says this, that an ASI, an artificial superintelligence, is smarter than all human beings on the planet.
00:04:06.400So just to not confuse the subject even more, but just to point out, you know, artificial general intelligence was coined in 1997 as the earliest coinage.
00:04:17.660It was basically discussing military systems that are super human.
00:04:21.800But it really took off with Shane Legg of Google and Ben Gertzel.
00:04:27.680And this was 2008 and Shane Legg coined it and then Ben Gertzel ran with it with conferences around the world.
00:04:34.480The way they saw it was a system that had a whole lot of different cognitive capabilities, vision, language, mathematics, all of this, and they were kind of fused together into a harmonious system.
00:04:47.460The weird thing about it, Steve, is that's kind of what we have now with multimodal models.
00:04:52.820So the newest versions of GPT or Grok or Gemini, they in some way fit the earliest definitions of AGI.
00:05:02.260And with superintelligence, you know, that really began with Nick Bostrom as far as the intense conversation. And Nick Bostrom from Oxford warned that even a narrow system could go out of human control.
00:05:19.740There'd be various ways, but one of the important elements is recursive self-improvement.
00:05:25.780So it could be a narrow system, it could be a general system, it could be a swarm of systems.
00:05:29.260But recursive self-improvement means that the AI had some comprehension, so to speak, of its own inner workings.
00:05:37.800It could optimize itself outside of human control and then would be able to just recursively self-improve in order to become more and more intelligent, more and more powerful.
00:05:53.260Basically, you would set off a chain reaction that you would then stand back and watch what happened, whether or not it would just go crazy and glitch out, whether or not it would be kind of a dud, or whether or not it would become, in essence, a machine god.
00:06:10.560One thing we know for certain, whether that's possible or not, is this is what is happening on the inside at Anthropic, on the inside at OpenAI, perhaps at Google, certainly aspirationally at XAI.
00:06:25.560And so the argument that we hear right now around superintelligence is simply this. If these companies are attempting to create something that ultimately would be more powerful than human beings and ultimately would threaten human beings because it would be out of human control, then it should not be created.
00:06:48.440It should not be legal to do such a thing. And again, there's very good reason to be skeptical of its possibility.
00:06:55.580But if it's at all possible, 0.0001 percent possible, then I think that if nothing else, as the future of life statement on banning super intelligence says,

00:07:16.700because such a thing most likely would affect every human being on earth so the bernie sanders

00:07:47.500the systems that exist now can do that. Or AI systems that have sufficient capabilities to plan
00:07:53.060and execute the disempowerment of humanity, including by overthrowing or undermining the US
00:08:00.420government. Again, the direction of it, I think, is correct. But the specifics,
00:08:07.820the definition is too broad. And the penalty would be 20 years in prison. So I think that
00:08:14.700it's a good conversation starter. I seriously doubt that it's going to be passed. But one
00:08:22.060thing's for sure, the American public is now awake to this possibility. And people like Bernie
00:08:27.100Sanders are taking control of that narrative and the possible solutions.
00:08:33.460And we can't, we can't allow that to happen. That's got to be a much safer pair of hands.

00:38:15.300news. Trump's invasion of Venezuela is America first insofar as Venezuelans, for the most part,
00:38:23.380are turning back. They think their country is worth going back and fighting for. But we're0.60
00:38:28.960seeing Asians, we're seeing Steve, you know, my friend Cortez was just referring to Muslims.
00:38:34.600They're Muslim camps on the outskirts of Mexico City.
00:38:40.560And some of these people are finding their way into the United States first through a barely reported in the United States what are called narco tunnels, one that was just revealed last week between Tijuana and San Diego.
00:38:56.600Others are doing it with the coyotes, the coyotes, seeking some other paths into the United States.
00:39:02.920But the real explosive element here is that others are finding it with visas, getting visas, able to pay the cartels to provide them with visas into the United States.
00:39:15.400Now, how are they doing this? The wait in Mexico City alone just to get an interview is 720 days, 720 days.
00:39:25.420Now, the cartels, I put my own spy, Mexican spy, through the system, they're guaranteeing three days and where you could pay after the fact, that is once you had it, where you go to the embassy, you go to a door, you're met by an embassy official, you're brought in, you receive the visa, and you leave and can pay after the fact for it.
00:39:48.840So, Steve, this is some really shocking stuff. Now, questions arise about how they're doing it. Do they have embassy insiders? Now, I didn't want my spy to get that far along because it becomes quite dangerous.
00:40:00.640But what we do know that they're doing at the very least is this, that the visa appointments are attached to an account with an email address, doesn't have to have a real name associated with it.
00:40:13.940And the cartels are using bots to buy up these slots, and then they replace, they transfer the account to someone who pays them for it.
00:40:25.580So, you see, there's a lot going on here. Last year, excuse me, in 2024, which is the year that we have the latest figures for, so the Biden administration approved 86% of visa applications.
00:40:40.500That translates to 624,000 visas being issued by Mexico City alone.
00:40:48.300And you see, there are 10 visa-issuing consulates, that is the embassy, and then nine consulates around Mexico.
00:40:56.500So just one was 624,000 visas approved into the United States.
00:41:03.480now are you saying that their u.s personnel or their mexican nationals working this at the
00:41:10.460cartels are gaming the system with before we go to break is this something i mean obviously the
00:41:15.360state department has we've got to make them aware of this but is this mexican nationals that are
00:41:19.800running this scam with the cartels are this actually u.s citizens that's the difficult part
00:41:25.700to figure out here steve because you see the embassies as i'm sure you know they they use
00:41:30.760all around the world, they employ primarily locals, except for the more sensitive positions,
00:41:37.960but they employ a lot of locals. But it appears to be both, that they have someone inside the
00:41:44.400embassy, hence the reason that they would guarantee you that they would get you into the embassy
00:41:49.020and approve visa within three days, which is not possible through any legal means. Now,
00:41:54.840beginning in June of this year, Mexico, the embassy there, instituted a trial basis where
00:42:03.040you could pay $750 and get an expedited interview. No guaranteed approval, just the interview.
