00:00:44.400 War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Band.
00:00:54.080 Friday 24th of July Anno Domini 2026, Harnwell here at the helm on Steve Bannon's warm cracking show for you this evening.
00:01:04.320 Guys, first guest, Balazs Orban, a guy whose CV would take too long to recite, but I'll simply suffice it to say right now,
00:01:14.460 member of the Hungarian Parliament, soon to be from this September member of the European Parliament
00:01:21.460 and known throughout Europe as Viktor Orbán's political director, serving with him at his right hand for the last five years.
00:01:33.220 And extraordinary events are coming out of Hungary right now.
00:01:37.660 And Balazs, welcome on to the show.
00:01:41.220 We'll start with this week.
00:01:43.100 And I could not believe this when I saw this.
00:01:46.020 This is full-on political oppression, it would seem.
00:01:49.800 The party political offices of Fiddish, up until April for 16 years, the governing political party,
00:01:59.960 the political offices have been raided by the new government.
00:02:03.280 And computers, servers have been carted off, including all of the communications that the party has undertaken under the pretext of clamping down on what is said, though the specifics are difficult to find out to do with abuses and corruption.
00:02:23.680 We'll see exactly whether that was just a pretext, if any charges develop.
00:02:29.260 But tell me what's going on right now in Hungary as a response to this.
00:02:35.340 Thank you very much for having me.
00:02:38.860 It's a great honor to talk about not so great things.
00:02:43.840 You know, in Hungary and everywhere in the Western world,
00:02:48.740 Viktor Orban was accused for 16 years being an autocrat or a dictator or something like this.
00:02:56.420 But after 16 years, when we lost elections, that was the smoothest transition you can imagine.
00:03:03.540 We lost against the Brussels-backed government. Of course, there was election interference,
00:03:08.540 but we lost and we accepted the result. And what was their first decision? They started
00:03:14.440 to build up an authoritarian liberal state.
00:03:19.080 They canceled the mandate of the president.
00:03:23.200 They banned Viktor Orban and half of the opposition members
00:03:27.540 to be reelected by the people if they want to do so.
00:03:31.100 And now that's the latest stage, what you were mentioning,
00:03:35.800 that they just created a fake corruption issue.
00:03:40.540 It has nothing to do with the party servers and nothing to do with the data of the supporters and members of FIDAS, but they use the authorities to put pressure on the Hungarian right side.
00:03:58.720 And there is an actual political purge going on, backed and supported by the authoritarian liberals who are now in charge in Brussels.
00:04:08.640 that's that's the situation in a nutshell we're going to talk in the second part of this interview
00:04:15.920 about the key offices of state that have already been affected and the silence of the european
00:04:22.980 union on this um that's we'll do that in about 10 minutes time first of all i just want to
00:04:28.440 dig down on this rating of political of your political offices um because it's an astonishing
00:04:36.100 maneuver do we know whether the prime minister the new prime minister peter maggior do we know
00:04:43.180 to what extent he was involved or informed about this political raid well actually the
00:04:55.000 the chief prosecutor resigned because of the political pressure what he got about this
00:05:03.680 issue from the government. So even he himself said that the new prime minister was intervening,
00:05:13.980 which shouldn't be the case and should never happen. And of course, now they are trying to
00:05:20.040 create fake corruption issues and the entire operation was related to that. But it's so fake
00:05:27.880 that it's not even new
00:05:29.840 because when the Brussels-backed
00:05:32.120 Polish liberal government
00:05:33.740 came into power two years ago,
00:05:36.200 they started exactly the same
00:05:38.160 type of prosecution
00:05:41.920 against a minister
00:05:43.800 who was responsible
00:05:44.760 of distributing the supports.
00:05:49.180 And so it's from Poland
00:05:52.100 by the liberal leftist opposition
00:05:55.080 imported fake issue and it's not just me and not just the Fidesz party who is saying that it is
00:06:04.860 orchestrated by the new prime minister but actually the chief prosecutor said this and resigned because
00:06:10.780 he was saying that he's not anymore capable of providing a balance of power under these
00:06:17.400 circumstances. I just want to read to you what the new prime minister has said in a statement
00:06:25.320 that probably started on Facebook. He said he was looking forward to information from the
00:06:30.840 prosecutor's office when news of the political raid took place, which I think came to light
00:06:37.340 first because it was Fidesz who announced that their own offices had been raided. And if you're
00:06:43.560 Looking at this statement here from the new prime minister, it's making it sound.
00:06:48.660 He's giving every indication, saying he's looking forward to information from the prosecutor's office,
00:06:53.760 as if this is all hands, what we call in English, arm's length, a way that he doesn't really know that much about it.
00:07:02.580 He's waiting to be briefed about it.
00:07:04.500 And as you say, and we'll come on to this shortly, the chief prosecutor himself has resigned in protest over the political interference on this.
00:07:15.280 Do we know, Balazs Orban, at this point, when the investigation into the alleged corruption was even started by the state?
00:07:26.980 Yes, something started, but it has nothing to do with the party servers and the complete data structure of any party.
00:07:37.040 So, you know, in a parliamentarian democracy, you know, protecting the integrity of the parties, it's very important.
00:07:50.180 And everybody who is willing to intervene has to be very cautious.
00:07:55.860 And we were in power for like 16 years, accused of being dictators, and never ever was anything from the authoritarian side in connection with the opposition parties.
00:08:07.240 They just came in.
00:08:09.960 The prime minister himself, as the leading figures of the party, they introduced the purge.
00:08:15.540 So they said that it's going to be a purge, and they are going to orchestrate the purge against the former prime minister and the Fidesz leaders.
00:08:25.860 And then these issues came. Of course, now he starts to pretend that it has nothing to do with him, but actually he made a political brand around it. He created that.
00:08:41.020 So he is directly responsible for these unacceptable and undemocratic violations.
00:08:48.920 I can remember when we won the election in 2010, our first decision was that we gave citizenship those ethnic Hungarians who are living outside the territory of Hungary.
00:09:01.820 Now I'm at the beautiful place, Transylvania, that's what you can see behind me, where Viktor
00:09:09.600 Orbán is usually speaking about the illiberalism and illiberal democracy.
00:09:16.580 And actually what we did in 2010, we integrated the country, we brought in new citizens and
00:09:22.540 what was their decisions when they won the election in 2026, they actually terminated
00:09:29.560 the mandate of the democratically elected president, and they banned his political opponents
00:09:35.660 of being re-elected. And they started to use the law enforcement agencies and the prosecutors
00:09:42.600 to purge the political opponents. So this is a real and a huge scandal.
00:09:48.360 I'm going to drill down on the authoritarian nature on this in just a moment. But before
00:09:54.440 we move on i i i do want to ask you specifically if it is known when this supposed this alleged
00:10:04.120 corruption investigation when that was started whether that investigation after the election
00:10:11.160 had do we know that and we know that for a fact yes okay um all right okay that that you know
00:10:20.840 know that's I think the clearest indication possible then the clearest
00:10:27.140 affirmation possible that exactly what Fidesz is saying at this time that this
00:10:31.340 is a political persecution so basically within months within weeks of a new
00:10:36.180 government taking office they're raiding their their political adversaries
00:10:43.420 confiscating their computers and servers and saying oh this is this is a
00:10:47.060 corruption investigation um all right okay but listen before we move on let me just ask
00:10:53.240 you were for one of the reasons why i heard your name spoken repeatedly over recent years was
00:11:02.380 because of the the the work being conducted by the matthias corvinus collegium of which you were
00:11:10.120 the um the chairman of the board of that organization a great organization i'm really
00:11:16.680 trying to bed in the values that Viktor Orban was promoting in Hungary in the rest of Europe
00:11:23.140 and elsewhere. What is the fate of the MCC right now? And for example, another organization that
00:11:31.800 will be familiar to a lot of our viewers on the war, the European Conservative, another great
00:11:37.940 organization. What is the future of these two entities to name but two? And I know you're very
00:11:46.060 closely involved with both of them and helped them grow what's going to happen to them in the future
00:11:52.480 well there the new government also launched a purge against them so the entire conservative
00:12:00.960 right-wing anti-eu mainstream organizational structure is is also under pressure they knew
00:12:09.660 that what they are going to plan it goes against the constitution so therefore they first change
00:12:15.720 the constitution to make it seem legal, and they are trying to confiscate the assets of
00:12:25.080 these institutions.
00:12:26.240 That's what's going on with MCC, with Matthias Corwinus Collegium, which is a think tank
00:12:31.880 and an educational institution.
00:12:35.100 And the legal battle and the legal fight is going on.
00:12:38.840 We hope that we will be able to save some elements of this ecosystem.
00:12:44.340 They are very important ones, not just for us Hungarians, but for the fight about the Europe's soil as well.
00:12:57.600 And I hope that we will be able to rescue them, save them and support them.
00:13:05.480 But it's going to be a tough fight and they immediately went after the ecosystem.
00:13:09.860 So it's a very interesting thing because the opposition during the campaign, they pretend, so during the entire campaign, they were saying that they are actually right-wingers and they agree with all the right-wing policies, which are good of Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
00:13:26.080 Now they are elected, they have the power, and they not anymore behave as right-wing Democrats,
00:13:37.840 but they purge their opponents, they purge the entire political ecosystem,
00:13:44.180 and they get along with the Brussels agenda immediately.
00:13:48.920 That's what happens.
00:13:49.640 So, you know, it's a lie, actually.
00:13:53.300 It was a fake campaign on their side, so people will sooner or later realize.
00:14:04.120 Balazs, Orban, stay with me two minutes.
00:14:06.100 Give a quick time for you to give a quick shout out to the show's sponsor,
00:14:09.480 and then I'll come back with you and explore in further detail
00:14:13.120 about the constitutional changes being imposed on Hungary right now.
00:14:17.760 America wouldn't be celebrating its 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence
00:14:26.400 if it hadn't been for the strongest foundation set by the framers
00:14:31.720 and Alexander Hamilton built America's financial foundation on the principle of sound stable money
00:14:39.320 a principle later embodied by the gold standard
00:14:43.220 However, America abandoned that discipline in 1971 under Richard Nixon and has since
00:14:52.200 seen inflation erode the dollar's value.
00:14:55.780 It's time to ask, therefore, what is the foundation of your savings?
00:15:00.480 Is it gold or something that could be shaken, disrupted, devalued or confiscated as President
00:15:07.760 Roosevelt did when he made the private ownership of gold illegal, inventing the new term, never
00:15:15.160 heard before in the world since then, calling it hoarding. He said the private ownership
00:15:21.800 of gold is hoarding and ordered the government to confiscate it, buying it up at the government's
00:15:28.980 set price. Birch Gold Group has been helping Americans solidify their savings with gold

00:16:13.080 by to field your calls. Back now with Balazs Orban. Balazs, so we were on this show, on the war,
00:16:21.620 we've been following this quite assiduously over recent weeks. The constitutional amendment,
00:16:28.300 The new government has its two-thirds majority in Parliament following the April elections, and they are using this majority.
00:16:38.280 So they passed this novelty, it was the 17th Amendment, effectively requiring the resignation or dismissal of the President of the Republic and the President of the Constitutional Court as well.
00:16:57.680 The latter one was via a technical instrument reducing the retirement age to 70.
00:17:09.140 So that forced him out.
00:17:10.880 Now, normally when these things are brought in, you would grandfather people who are currently in office.
00:17:16.720 So these laws would apply to their successors, not to them.
00:17:22.880 This seems to me to be specifically targeted.
00:17:25.540 As you said in your introduction, the European Union and Ursula von der Leyen had withheld something illegally, billions of euros worth of structural funds against Hungary under the accusation that the Orbán government was eroding democratic safeguards and politicizing the judiciary.
00:17:51.780 Well, when we see what's taking place right now, not even to enter into the discussion of another aspect of this constitutional amendment, which is the effectively barring from re-election any member of parliament who has served more than three terms, that is being grandfathered in.
00:18:12.040 And that's going to apply at the end of the present parliament.
00:18:14.960 What I'd like to know from you is what is Ursula von der Leyen saying to the forced resignation of the president of the republic?
00:18:25.680 What is she said to do with the forced resignation of the president of the constitutional court?
00:18:32.840 And you said at the beginning, which is absolutely perfect,
00:18:36.880 the european union had been suggesting that victor orban was some kind of dictator in all
00:18:45.760 but name and yet in april he left office in your own words in the smoothest transfer of power
00:18:54.480 imaginable and in has come a government that is actually doing in real life
00:19:02.180 what brussels was accusing victor orban of doing in theory what is the european union's response
00:19:10.700 right now how many billions of of euros have they withheld from the peter magyar government
00:19:17.300 because i can't find any response whatsoever to these authoritarian practices no actually
00:19:25.880 So it's the opposite, they get their reward.
00:19:28.760 So this is why I'm saying, I'm not just saying, not saying it because it's a political statement,
00:19:33.900 but I'm saying it because it's true and the fact that they get their reward.
00:19:39.200 So the money which has to come to Hungary is the Hungarians money EU funds.
00:19:47.280 It was stopped during the election campaign because Ursula von der Leyen was openly saying
00:19:54.060 That until we are not getting in line with the migration policy, the gender ideology, and we don't stop disagreeing with them on the Ukrainian war issue, we will not get our funds.
00:20:08.460 And what happened after the election? They started to talk about the restoration of democracy, remember, by trying to exclude your opponents. And the inflow of the people, the inflow of the money started immediately.
00:20:26.140 They made an agreement. We don't know anything about the details of the agreement, so we don't know what specifically was discussed. According to our understanding, Hungary had to give up many elements of its sovereignty to Brussels, but the inflow of the money already started, and Ursula von der Leyen and the Commission is in silence.
00:20:51.160 balas orban would you say that the conduct of ursula von der leyen the eu politbureau chief
00:21:02.300 was tantamount to blackmail against the hungarian people at the last election
00:21:09.580 of course of course we were blackmailed like that was another decision by the european court but of
00:21:15.760 course, orchestrated by Ursula von der Leyen and the commission, Hungary had to pay 1 million
00:21:21.580 euro every day because it was protecting its borders. So they were saying that it's against
00:21:29.100 the humanitarian legal standards to close your borders. It's not possible. And until you change
00:21:34.520 your regulation, you have to pay 1 million as a fine every day. And of course, like many Americans
00:21:43.380 And many of my friends were saying that, well, actually, that's a good deal, because if you let the migrants in, you will have to pay at the end more.
00:21:54.080 So it's worth to pay the fine.
00:21:56.500 But still, you know, one million euro per day for a small country like Hungary, this is something significant.
00:22:03.040 And the European Union was putting enormous amount of financial pressure, legal pressure, and political pressure on the previous government, and they were 100% supporting the new government.
00:22:22.060 Why? Because they wanted a government which is like a puppet government and which is in line with the mainstream policy.
00:22:29.240 So the Hungarian rebellion against the mainstream liberal deep state of Europe should be terminated.
00:22:36.800 And actually, why they are purging us?
00:22:40.040 Because they want to terminate the Hungarian resistance entirely.
00:22:45.200 And they don't want anymore a European country which is standing up and talking about still the importance of national sovereignty,
00:22:53.600 questioning the crazy decisions of the European leaders
00:22:56.840 on migration, on gender, on competitiveness,
00:23:00.540 on green transition, on the Russian-Ukrainian war.
00:23:04.240 They don't want to happen again.
00:23:07.020 And everywhere, it's not just about Hungary.
00:23:09.920 This liberal authoritarian deep state in Brussels
00:23:13.780 is interfering in every single election.
00:23:18.280 They are behind what is happening in Germany
00:23:21.240 against the AfD.
00:23:22.320 Now, in France, they wanted to put Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella to jail.
00:23:30.100 Those are the patriots who are now leading the polls.
00:23:32.780 It's happened in Poland with Donald Tusk and his government.
00:23:36.460 It's happened in Romania, where they canceled the election with the help of the European Union.
00:23:43.120 And it's happened in Hungary, and it's happening in Hungary.
00:23:46.160 So that's a pattern which everybody should concern who believes in the Western civilization
00:23:53.500 and the values we all share both sides of the Atlantic.
00:23:58.080 We've got about one and a half minutes left now.
00:24:02.680 Just tell me something.
00:24:05.060 One of the things I most admired about Viktor Orban, in addition to trying to bed down,
00:24:12.200 You know, you're talking about the values of Western civilization, and that was something that Matthias Colvinus Collegium was very strong on promoting, is very strong on promoting.
00:24:24.640 We pray for its future. Tell me, now that you are out of power, these relationships that you were building up, what have your European allies done in the face of this authoritarian crackdown?
00:24:40.240 Has there been anything from the United States, for example, any intervention from the Trump administration?
00:24:48.220 What is the nature of your international political support at this moment in time?
00:24:55.800 Well, I'm really optimistic on that regard because I see I'm following what President Trump is saying about Europe,
00:25:04.840 what Vice President J.D. Wenz is saying about Europe,
00:25:08.080 how they are trying to help the European patriots
00:25:10.820 to fight for their own continent and countries.
00:25:16.280 And it's important.
00:25:17.340 And I think they know what is happening.
00:25:22.200 And in Europe, it's like the people are rebelling against it.
00:25:29.100 And now the mainstream is getting more and more oppressive
00:25:33.000 because it wants to hold the line.
00:25:36.080 But there is always a growing number of people
00:25:39.860 who are dissatisfied on what's happening right now in Europe
00:25:43.840 because bad decisions have economic consequences.
00:25:48.640 And people are suffering.
00:25:49.760 The middle class is suffering in Europe.
00:25:53.400 It's a hopeless situation.
00:25:55.440 And therefore, the anti-mainstream parties everywhere in Europe are growing.
00:25:59.860 We will have election in France next year.
00:26:04.560 We will have election in Poland and we will have elections in some of the smaller member states
00:26:10.580 and everywhere the patriotic parties who are opposing the mainstream, they are against it.
00:26:17.760 So they are against it and they are ready to fight.
00:26:21.780 Balazs Orban, very, very grateful for you joining us today from Transylvania.
00:26:26.980 Just know this, the warring posse, they love Viktor Orban, they love Fidesz, they love you, and they will give you every support possible as you continue to fight.
00:26:37.400 Very, very quick, where do people go on social media, on X, to keep up with your analysis?
00:26:45.480 My social media profile is Balazs Orban. You will find it easily. I will promote that show as well on that.
00:26:52.440 So thank you very much for your support.
00:26:53.960 Balash, many thanks indeed. God bless and we'll stay in touch. Back in two minutes after this
00:26:59.300 commercial break. Do you owe back taxes or you haven't filed your taxes in years? Now is the
00:27:05.600 time to resolve your tax matters. With the national conversation around abolishing the

00:32:37.480 Welcome back
00:32:39.540 That was Martin Siekert
00:32:41.820 The AFD
00:32:44.520 Member of Parliament
00:32:46.040 In the Bundestag
00:32:47.720 Joining me on the show
00:32:51.240 Is Martins
00:32:52.300 Predecessor as head of the AFD in Bavaria
00:32:57.720 Former Member of Parliament
00:32:59.820 Present Member of the European Parliament
00:33:03.400 Peter Bystron
00:33:04.420 Welcome back on to the show, Peter
00:33:05.920 Hello, and nice greetings to all your friends in the United States
00:33:13.440 The context of that clip
00:33:17.520 And we were discussing this yesterday on the show as well
00:33:21.260 is the fact that various election boards in Germany,
00:33:28.560 because of the failure to find significant motivation
00:33:33.960 to suppress the AFD as a political party,
00:33:36.840 various election boards have been empowered
00:33:39.780 to block the candidacy of specific candidates.
00:33:46.720 And it's a simple show-of-hands vote.
00:33:48.660 And the only pretext that is necessary is doubts over such and such a person's loyalty to the Constitution.
00:33:59.800 And Martin Siegert there, as I say, a present-serving member of Parliament, has been blocked for standing for some local office in his home state.
00:34:11.220 I think of Lower Saxony, Peter?
00:34:14.840 Yeah, it's Lower Saxony. It's one of the biggest states in Germany.
00:34:20.660 So just bring us up to date on this, because we have other stuff we need to discuss as well.
00:34:27.780 But how exactly is the momentum now going on that, the actual blocking of AFD candidates simply on the doubts over loyalty to the Constitution?
00:34:41.380 tell me as a as a long-standing both member of parliament and member of the european parliament
00:34:49.020 what what is the the reaction there amongst the afd to these developments the event not only among
00:34:58.620 the afd the scandal is getting bigger and bigger uh across all germany because uh this is a total
00:35:06.520 farce. It's really a joke. There are five or six candidates of AFD in Lower Saxony,
00:35:17.120 which are bad from election. And Martin Sichert, my old friend, is just the most famous one
00:35:24.420 because he is a member of the German parliament. He mentioned in his video, I don't know if
00:35:31.700 Somebody understood that it was in German, but he mentioned that Reinhild Goeys.
00:35:37.140 She is also a candidate for a major, and there are Jessica Schulke, other woman, and two
00:35:44.040 other guys, Robert Preuss, Stefan Bote.
00:35:47.600 And the point is, you know, I wouldn't even mention that they should not be loyal to the
00:35:56.320 constitution because this is a total total fake you know it's it's um violence of every laws
00:36:04.260 they are just bad from election just because they are members of the ifd that's all and one of those
00:36:12.520 election uh committees which was deciding on it uh they they admitted it more or less so this is
00:36:21.360 absolutely unconstitutional unprecedented and this is really a big scandal
00:36:31.040 um all right by the way what i what i haven't been able to find out is is what is the due process
00:36:39.040 involved in this and the ability of candidates once they've been suppressed from standing
00:36:45.040 to repeal this how does that work this is also very different there is always a committee which
00:36:53.120 is deciding uh if uh candidates uh are um um eligible for elections but normally it's a
00:37:03.120 formality everybody gets in and now uh they are even bearing the those afd candidates uh martin
00:37:11.680 Sikert had at least the chance that they were confronting him with their accusations and
00:37:19.280 it was public, so he was able to film it. And I just recommend it. Go to his X account and watch
00:37:27.280 it. He provides the video even in English so you can see what the farce it is. But the other
00:37:36.000 candidates. They even were not given the chance to say anything to the accusations. They were just
00:37:42.780 excluded from the election. This is really hilarious. I think in America, just imagine
00:37:49.180 that you would have a democratic government, and therefore there would be a majority of Democrats
00:37:59.420 in some committees for elections,
00:38:02.560 and they would say,
00:38:03.420 those candidates from Republicans,
00:38:06.620 we just exclude them from the election
00:38:09.000 because they are not constitutional.
00:38:13.520 They are against the Constitution of the United States.
00:38:16.300 We think so, we Democrats.
00:38:17.760 So we exclude them from it.
00:38:20.020 This is really unbelievable.
00:38:24.820 If I'm not mistaken,
00:38:26.500 One of the sources of evidence cited to exclude Martin Siegert's candidature was that he had been caught putting out on Twitter the extreme anti-German constitution, anti-basic law material of Lord of the Rings.
00:38:56.500 And that is, that was considered legitimate evidence of his, of his unacceptability for office. You're absolutely right, it is a violation of every norm of democracy.
00:39:10.160 Peter Bison, I want to ask you something else. This just came out today. I think it's an important development, but I want to have your take on this. Staying with the eastern state of Saxony and the prime minister, the premier, Michael Kretschmer.
00:39:31.840 forgive my pronunciation
00:39:33.980 Michael Bredgemann
00:39:35.340 he is a strong
00:39:38.380 ally of the
00:39:40.180 German Chancellor Friedrich Metz
00:39:42.300 he has come out
00:39:44.120 and he's probably the most
00:39:45.900 senior
00:39:48.160 Christian
00:39:49.620 Democrat
00:39:52.000 Union CDU politician
00:39:54.380 to come out and openly say this
00:39:56.440 but he suggested that
00:39:57.800 the Brandtmauer
00:39:59.580 the firewall
00:40:00.740 excluding the AFD from coalition governments, that it was time to basically stop doing that
00:40:13.540 and to bring the AFD in. And now, we're going to talk about this some more in the second part of
00:40:17.800 the interview, and I think clearly the reason that they're doing that now is because far from
00:40:23.640 not working it's simply been served to to funnel all opposition now into the afd you're too big
00:40:31.000 i think to continue to to isolate from governance on the basis of that but tell me the the the fact
00:40:37.960 that michael krechner has come out and called for the for the moving away of the firewall
00:40:46.340 um how important is that for the afd uh look the question is not how important is it for the afd
00:40:55.680 because this is this is a process you cannot stop uh just uh let's have a look on the reasons you
00:41:01.160 know kretschmer is a prime minister in saxony and he is a head of the cdu in saxony and i know
00:41:06.480 i know really personally a lot of uh members of the parliament of course afd but also cdu in
00:41:13.440 Saxony. And this is since, I would say, 10 years. They are very close to each other. They know that
00:41:22.000 the CDU members, they know that the AFD members, they have a very similar way of thinking. They
00:41:27.680 would like to make a coalition with them. And the most important thing, they know that they are
00:41:33.040 voters, that the people in the country, they want it. They want the civic government. They want a
00:41:40.400 coalition of AFD and CDU. And this is what Friedrich Metz has promised in the last federal
00:41:49.420 election. He was promising, like the slogan was, the left is over. So there was implicitly a promise
00:41:56.980 we will now rule the country with the AFD. And he broke this promise immediately in the election
00:42:05.860 night. And he said, OK, no, no, no, no, no. I didn't meant it like this. And he did the totally
00:42:12.460 opposite. He did the coalition by the socialists. So he screwed up all the voters. And Kretschmann
00:42:18.400 doesn't want to lose his power. He knows that his people in Saxony, they want it. He knows that not
00:42:24.920 only his members, but also their voters want it. He knows the members of the AFD. So he knows that
00:42:31.340 would be a really great coalition great government and so this is there is no other way than to say
00:42:39.740 like let's do it because otherwise uh merits and even krechmann they would otherwise they would
00:42:49.420 minimize uh the cdu the voters they would run away and even the members would run away because they
00:42:55.500 said we are not going to continue a government with socialists or even start to thinking about
00:43:01.260 coalitions you know the possibilities then are like coalitions with socialists with greens with
00:43:06.140 communists if you if you if you expel if you're avoiding the strongest party in the country
00:43:15.580 then you have just the rubbish you have the rest you know you have the other
00:43:19.740 small parties and you must choose from the left wing automatically if you exclude the right wing
00:43:26.540 You must choose partner from left and left extreme.
00:43:30.880 And this is a suicide.
00:43:33.120 And Kretschmer doesn't want to commit this suicide.
00:43:39.640 Peter, bear with me.
00:43:40.840 I'll come back and we'll finish this off in just a minute's time.
00:43:44.040 First of all, time for me to give once again a shout out to the show sponsor, Birch Gold.
00:43:48.960 Pick up the phone, text Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N to 989898, speak to Philip Patrick, speak to his team, ask them about the particularly competitive spot price of gold right now.
00:44:06.360 down from the heights of $4,500 per ounce to about $4,000.
00:44:12.400 And every serious gold analyst is expecting the climb back up to start at some point.
00:44:19.080 So you might want to just check that out and get yourself on that escalator before it leaves.
00:44:28.220 Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N-2-9-H-9-8-9-8.
00:44:31.820 Philip Patrick and his team, world experts here in giving advice on gold to investors, both retail investors, corporate investors, standing by waiting to field your calls back with Peter Bistron.
00:44:45.440 Peter, now you say that the AFD is doing well right now, and it is.
00:44:53.460 Specifically, this poll came out in Die Welt yesterday, I think it was, that puts the AFD on around 29%.
00:45:04.000 I think this is in Berlin, and the CDU is down to 20.5%.
00:45:12.600 This is an astonishingly low result now for a party that won an election.
00:45:19.520 I'm sorry, but this is not astonishingly if you see what the politics they are doing in the last two weeks and months.
00:45:27.220 That's the result.
00:45:28.020 The incompetence, the contempt for the German electorate is astonishing.
00:45:34.600 Absolutely, yes, it's built.
00:45:35.900 that they've condensed this collapse into such a short time frame is astonishing.
00:45:43.140 Peter, my question to you is, how bad is this, do you think, for the CDU?
00:45:49.580 Because there are some key elections coming up now in September.
00:45:52.500 But if the CDU, the Christian Democrat Union, in government hits 20%,
00:46:03.620 that's a psychologically fatal threshold for a governing party to hit.
00:46:11.040 Tell me what you think the fallout is going to look like.
00:46:16.040 Do you think that this government is actually even going to be able to manage to survive to the end of term?
00:46:20.600 ban, ban this government
00:46:23.520 as a dead man walking, you know.
00:46:26.540 The next elections
00:46:28.180 they will be, this is a funeral
00:46:30.340 for the CDU, because
00:46:32.380 you mentioned just the
00:46:34.140 polls on federal
00:46:36.280 level, and they are like 30%
00:46:38.620 AFD, around
00:46:40.440 29-30% AFD,
00:46:42.840 20-something CDU.
00:46:45.340 But look
00:46:46.340 at the states when we will
00:46:48.460 have the elections, there is even
00:46:50.300 more dramatical and we have been talking before about saxony why why what is michael krechma
00:46:57.580 proposing a coalition with the afd because afd in saxony is around 40 42 percent and the cdu is
00:47:05.740 just half 2021 and if if you go to the next state where we will have the elections as as uh saxony
00:47:14.220 anhalt uh maybe we will have an absolute majority we will win like the winner takes a goal you know
00:47:21.260 and and then uh the next elections are going to be in mecklenburg west and pomerania on september 20
00:47:31.420 and there the cdu fell down even under the mark of 10 so the cdu in that state is by nine percent
00:47:42.300 just imagine this you know this is such a disruption of of the formerly party of the
00:47:49.500 chancellors the the ruling party they are they are falling down so fast you even can follow it when
00:47:57.900 you are watching but apart from certain voices saying that the the firewall is causing more harm
00:48:08.600 than good. It seems to me that a lot of people in CDU leadership seem to, it's full steam ahead,
00:48:16.860 right? There's no real introspection as to how they've collapsed to 20%. In fact, it would only
00:48:23.480 take, I think, a half a percent tick in either direction for the CDU to fall down to 20% and
00:48:29.220 the AFD to go up to 30%, which, as I say, these are psychologically important thresholds.
00:48:37.280 I mean, it's not your job to explain what the CDU's thinking is, but I can't understand how a party can win an election and take over from Olaf Scholz, the socialist, just almost this time last year.
00:48:53.300 And in the space of a year, just totally implode. It seems unusual, even by the relatively normal standards of incompetence for the establishment center-right. It's pretty exceptional, I think, the incompetence in Germany's center-right party right now.
00:49:13.500 But it's not only about the incompetence, it's about the betrayal.
00:49:19.740 And this is really, the fall is the result of the blatant lies before the election.
00:49:26.820 This is the bill for the betrayal on the voters.
00:49:32.000 Again, Merz and the CDU, they promised left is over.
00:49:37.460 They promised right-wing policy, which includes like lowering taxes, making the country free
00:49:43.560 again, you know, and so on and so on.
00:49:46.860 And they are doing it totally opposite.
00:49:48.840 The head of the Socialists, who is a vice chancellor, is proud to be a former member
00:49:55.760 of the Antifa.
00:49:56.760 Guess what?
00:49:57.760 You know, now this is just this week, there was a convention about the forbidding Antifa,
00:50:06.140 fighting Antifa in Washington, hosted by Rubio, and it was on a level of ministers, and Germany
00:50:15.740 has interior ministers from the CDU, CSU, but he could not go because his coalition partner
00:50:23.840 would be
00:50:24.860 not so amused.
00:50:27.580 Germany sent just some
00:50:29.320 third row
00:50:30.840 clerk
00:50:34.380 from a ministry.
00:50:36.900 This is
00:50:37.980 a total disaster
00:50:39.840 and
00:50:40.920 the people don't want
00:50:44.160 to continue
00:50:45.700 this leftist policy
00:50:47.180 in Germany. If you look
00:50:49.800 at the election
00:50:51.540 results, not even the polls,
00:50:53.380 But the election results, the landscape is black and blue.
00:50:58.120 So the people who want conservative politics and they've got socialist politics.
00:51:03.160 And now they are saying, OK, enough is enough.
00:51:06.560 We are not going to do the same mistake again.
00:51:10.700 We are not going to believe the lies of the CDU.
00:51:15.040 We see that they are not delivering what they're promising.
00:51:18.760 And they go for the original.
00:51:20.640 They're just voting now for the AFD.
00:51:23.380 I've got about 20 seconds left to wrap this up. Just give me a yes or no. When you're talking about betrayal, has the government, the centre-right-led government, done anything about the third world illegal invasion in the past? Yeah, yes or no? Has it done anything?
00:51:42.580 nothing zero zero zero zero no that was like i knew the answer before asking you peter byston
00:51:51.140 as always very very grateful that you're coming on the um the war room and explaining the view
00:51:57.060 from germany very quickly where do people go on x to keep up with your analysis and commentary
00:52:03.980 Peter Bison AFD
00:52:07.120 there we go
00:52:09.860 once again
