I'm kind of showing you a day in my life as a YouTuber and a content creator.
00:00:04.040
I'm going to record something for a composer friend.
00:00:08.020
I have to write an outline for a video I'm going to record.
00:00:54.520
So today I'm going to be doing a video where I'm kind of showing you a day in my life as
00:01:02.300
Often I don't like to film on these days because I feel like it can be boring for you to see
00:01:09.280
But I thought that I could kind of make it interesting, show you what I'm actually doing,
00:01:13.360
kind of give you a behind the scenes look at some of the stuff that I use and just kind
00:01:18.720
And because I work from home and it's remote technically, my day is a mixture of chores
00:01:26.920
and work and also going to the gym because I try to, especially during pregnancy, take
00:01:35.540
But during pregnancy now, I really want to obviously make sure that I'm doing all that
00:01:40.500
I can to give this baby a good and healthy home.
00:01:44.840
So I wanted to show you kind of what my day looks like.
00:01:47.180
So the things that we're going to be doing today are I have to write an article for my
00:01:52.840
I have to make outlines for a video I'm recording for my channel, as well as the podcast that
00:02:03.420
I have to record something singing wise for somebody who asked me to help them out with
00:02:13.320
So much of being a content creator is about managing your creative energy because I come
00:02:24.020
And then if I have any extra time, I might like do something fun because I just have extra
00:02:28.780
But because my job is flexible hours, it's a mixture of the stuff I have to do to take care
00:02:35.540
of my house, you know, stay at home stuff like chores, making the bed, doing laundry,
00:02:41.540
which I'm going to take you guys downstairs and I'm going to do some laundry, and then
00:02:45.320
doing the stuff that I need to take care of myself.
00:02:48.320
So cooking for myself, going to the gym, and then my actual work.
00:02:54.340
And that's always a struggle, probably for many of us, but I find that sometimes it's a
00:03:06.440
It means that I can't go five hours and forget to eat.
00:03:09.840
Like I'm going to get hungry and I should get hungry and I should take care of those cravings
00:03:14.940
And also just being pregnant changes things a bit.
00:03:17.460
So I did want to give you guys the pregnancy update for the week.
00:03:23.640
And what that means is the baby is the size of a grapefruit.
00:03:29.940
So the baby is now covered with vernix, a white protective coating that protects the
00:03:38.560
However, it decreases as the delivery date comes closer.
00:03:41.960
Your baby is looking more like a baby now with proportionate arms and legs, presence of
00:03:46.500
fat layers under the skin, and clearly defined facial features.
00:03:49.860
The sex can now be identified on an ultrasound.
00:03:53.000
Right now, your baby is awake for only about six hours a day.
00:03:55.980
So as far as my symptoms, I'm not really into 18 weeks yet.
00:04:02.240
But 17 weeks and into 18 weeks, I have been super moody.
00:04:07.520
And I thought that was like more intense in the first trimester.
00:04:10.440
But for me, I found that in the first trimester, my moods were really surrounded about my worry
00:04:24.220
I mean, there are days that it feels like I could get pulled under by being sad or something
00:04:29.500
And it's just a lot of that I say would be the biggest struggle is is fighting with that
00:04:35.280
hormonal urge to be down and say, no, this is not this isn't real.
00:04:40.680
You can be happy and everything's going to be okay.
00:04:44.020
The good news is that it's not all day and it comes and goes for sure.
00:04:49.000
But when I feel those negative emotions, that moody mood swing sort of thing, I just have
00:04:56.240
to make sure that I don't allow myself to get too dragged in by it.
00:04:59.600
I'm also having such intense dreams, crazy dreams every night.
00:05:04.700
Like really, I woke up one morning and I didn't know where I was.
00:05:08.240
Like I thought I was back in Los Angeles is where I grew up, which was crazy.
00:05:13.240
That's literally never happened to me when I've gone to sleep for the night.
00:05:17.420
I've sometimes woken up from a nap and been confused as to where I am.
00:05:20.300
But from like waking up in the morning, that's never happened to me.
00:05:30.580
We're getting into the halfway point in just two weeks, which is crazy to think about.
00:05:35.020
Also, my birthday is coming up November 8th, which is such a weird thing.
00:05:42.680
So I don't know what I'm going to do for it, but maybe we'll do something fun.
00:05:50.880
Okay, so first things first, I'm going to record something for a composer friend.
00:05:56.140
So he needed me to record something that he can send some people.
00:06:00.180
And so I'm going to be sitting at the piano, going through the music that he sent me and
00:06:06.020
So I'm going to be working at my piano for a bit.
00:06:08.140
Okay, so I'm going to do some laundry that I don't know if you can see that is the laundry
00:06:29.740
So I'm not going to show you my laundry room, but I'll show you the putting the clothes into
00:06:34.520
the washing machine and into the dryer because literally our laundry room is like totally
00:06:42.280
So it's just kind of like not the best to look at.
00:06:45.380
So but I do laundry probably at least twice a week and I fold laundry, put it all away.
00:06:52.820
I used to hate it, but now I like it more because it used to be down like two flights of stairs
00:07:00.120
But now it's like in the main part of the house.
00:07:02.300
And so I don't feel like I have to go out of my way to do laundry.
00:07:09.120
Sometimes it's part of my daily routine to wash the laundry, dry the laundry and fold
00:07:22.160
So I recently posted on Instagram that I only just started going back to the gym because
00:07:28.060
And then it kind of lingered into the second trimester a bit and then I started to feel
00:07:35.140
Jacob gave me a list of exercises to do that are safe for pregnancy that have like some weight
00:07:40.960
lifting involved, but not heavy weight lifting at all.
00:07:45.560
And it's good to exercise when you're pregnant.
00:07:50.840
So today I'm going to be going to the gym and then we'll come back and finish all of
00:07:56.700
the YouTube content creating stuff because there is quite a bit more to do on that score
00:08:20.840
Okay, first up on the agenda for content creation, now that we're back, we're changed, we're done
00:08:30.900
with the gym, is that I need to record stuff for an Instagram reel.
00:08:35.540
So I will show you a little bit behind the scenes of what I'm doing and you can see the
00:08:56.200
So make sure to go check that out if you're not already following me there.
00:08:59.020
But next up, I'm going to be just sitting at my desk and writing some outlines for content.
00:09:03.920
So I'm going to be writing an outline for my podcast.
00:09:09.160
And I have to write an outline for an article that I want to write.
00:09:12.460
And I have to write an outline for a video I'm going to record.
00:09:15.160
I don't know that I'm going to be able to record the video today or if I'm going to
00:09:18.300
have to record it tomorrow, but I need to write an outline for it.
00:09:20.840
So that's something that I do pretty consistently.
00:09:25.800
So I'm going to use one of my notebooks and take some notes and outline.
00:09:37.820
I have an idea of what I want to write about and what I want to video and what I want to
00:09:46.480
So I have a podcast that's exclusive for my premium Substack subscribers.
00:09:50.700
So if you're not already subscribed, head over to classicallyabby.substack.com so that
00:09:54.580
you can get access to my podcast, which is really fun and also has some really interesting
00:10:00.100
kind of takes that are different from what I do on my YouTube channel.
00:10:07.800
It's very well known in the podcasting community because it's very simple.
00:10:13.440
It plugs right into your computer and it has a bunch of different settings.
00:10:16.720
So if I'm just talking into it, I can use one setting.
00:10:19.600
If Jacob and I are podcasting together, we can use a different setting and it's just easy
00:10:24.480
And like I said, you can plug it right into your computer.
00:10:26.140
I use the program Audacity and it's really simple to learn and it's free.
00:10:37.100
My last podcast was about modesty and talking about it, not just from the perspective of
00:10:42.560
clothes, but from the perspective of how it can affect who you are internally and how
00:10:48.280
it actually can make sexuality less effective in today's day and age.
00:10:58.600
I'm not going to be podcasting today because Jacob and I are going to be podcasting, I think
00:11:02.780
tomorrow, but that is how I do it when I do podcast.
00:11:06.640
Last but not least, I want to share with you guys my content calendar.
00:11:09.740
So I have this opened up to just a blank page in January, but this is what I use to write
00:11:14.760
down all of the content I'm going to be doing for the future months and weeks.
00:11:19.300
So I go through and I write down, okay, what video is going to be what day?
00:11:24.980
What articles am I writing for my Substack newsletter?
00:11:29.620
What book we're reading for the book club and when I'm going to be doing live streams
00:11:33.280
And all that has to go in this calendar because I have so much to keep track of that if I
00:11:39.640
And that's obviously not something I want to do.
00:11:44.260
I need to go through it because it's a little bit outdated and I had an idea for what I was
00:11:48.880
going to do week by week with the pregnancy, but I also want to continue to do regular classic
00:11:54.940
And I realized I forgot to put in a gender reveal video.
00:12:00.300
But that is one of the projects that I have to do.
00:12:04.900
I try to do a content calendar that's like very laid out for at least two weeks in advance,
00:12:10.240
usually more, but just in case I like to go in and check every two weeks.
00:12:15.100
So I still have to fold the laundry and we have leftovers for dinner.
00:12:19.260
So I don't have to worry about making dinner, which is great, but that's pretty much my day.
00:12:23.800
That is like an average day in my life is the content creation, trying to take care of
00:12:29.460
housework and chores as well as taking care of my body and exercising.
00:12:33.860
And I feel like I have a really hard time getting everything done.
00:12:36.640
I don't know if everyone else has this issue, but I'm sure everyone does.
00:12:42.260
And I consider some of the chores to be my work.
00:12:47.440
Now it's not necessarily work I get paid for, but it's work that's valuable to our family.
00:12:56.600
And that is something I've had to forgive myself for is if I end up getting chores done,
00:13:01.400
but I don't end up getting as much work done that day, that's okay, because that's the
00:13:09.400
Thank you guys so much for watching today's vlog.
00:13:11.600
Make sure that you're subscribed to my channel and hit that notification bell so you can get
00:13:15.920
And make sure to follow along for the rest of the pregnancy.
00:13:20.560
I know that this video wasn't so focused on the pregnancy, but there will be more videos,
00:13:25.420
definitely about the whole process and it's going to be a lot of fun and I'm really excited
00:13:33.940
And if you're not already subscribed to my Substack newsletter so you can get access to
00:13:36.880
all the exclusive content you kind of got a behind the scenes look at, make sure to do
00:13:42.460
I made a reel today, so go ahead and do that too.
