00:00:00.120 Hello, classic crew, and welcome to another episode of The Scoop.
00:00:07.960 If you are new to my channel, The Scoop is our opportunity to catch up, go over what
00:00:12.440 went on over the course of the week, and just act as if we're grabbing a cup of coffee together
00:00:16.280 and chatting and just seeing how everyone is doing.
00:00:19.520 So make sure to leave in the comments below what you've been up to this week.
00:00:22.380 I'd love to hear.
00:00:23.420 And I'd also love if you would subscribe to my channel and head over to my sub stack where
00:00:27.680 you can get exclusive content not available anywhere else.
00:00:31.920 It's a newsletter that will come directly to your inbox, and I'm super excited about
00:00:36.220 it because I just launched it, and I've already put out an exclusive video just for my premium
00:00:41.120 subscribers.
00:00:41.960 So head to the link in my description box and make sure to sign up.
00:00:45.540 So grab a cup of iced coffee now that it's warmer out, or a soda, or just some water, and let's
00:00:50.860 get into it.
00:00:51.620 So the first thing I want to talk about is that it is 85 degrees out today.
00:00:55.400 It is truly 85 degrees.
00:00:58.140 Now I know that for so many people that sounds absolutely horrible, but to me that is the
00:01:03.440 dream scenario.
00:01:04.620 I love when it is warm out.
00:01:06.860 I love when I don't have to bring a jacket anywhere.
00:01:09.320 It is just my favorite thing, and now that summer is officially on its way, I am so stoked
00:01:15.420 about it.
00:01:16.040 So I'm so excited because I can finally wear my sandals.
00:01:18.860 I can start maybe packing away some heavier sweaters.
00:01:22.340 I can maybe pack away some pairs of boots.
00:01:25.380 I mean, the weather here is not going to stay super warm.
00:01:28.980 It's going to go back and forth between 85 and 60, so probably shouldn't get too excited.
00:01:35.380 But at least on the days where it is nice, I can put on my new sandals, my new sundresses.
00:01:41.400 And speaking of sundresses, you guys, the addiction is out of control.
00:01:46.000 I have been shopping for sundresses and choosing some of my favorites.
00:01:51.020 I'm actually going to be having my spring fashion inspiration video going up next week
00:01:55.680 so you can see some of the dresses that I have been buying.
00:01:58.980 But also, if you follow me on my Instagram, you'll see that I'm constantly posting pictures
00:02:02.540 in the dresses that I absolutely love.
00:02:04.660 And I'm officially on board the dress train.
00:02:07.400 I just want to wear dresses all day, every day.
00:02:10.300 It's a nice thing being a woman.
00:02:13.000 You get to wear so many pretty, pretty things.
00:02:15.340 Of course, in the fall and the winter, I'm going to be wearing pants because I usually
00:02:18.620 get too cold.
00:02:19.420 But for spring and summer, wearing a beautiful dress is just the absolute best.
00:02:24.560 So let me know in the comments if you are a dress person or if you prefer skirts or if
00:02:29.580 you prefer pants.
00:02:30.720 I'd love to hear your thoughts.
00:02:32.240 I'm definitely a dress person.
00:02:33.880 I've just discovered it.
00:02:34.900 Also, dresses are the easiest thing in the world.
00:02:36.980 You put them on, two seconds later, you're done with your outfit.
00:02:39.600 You don't have to put any more thought into it.
00:02:41.380 And that's pretty much the best.
00:02:43.860 Next up, I did want to talk about launching my sub stack.
00:02:46.900 That was really exciting.
00:02:48.760 And I've gotten a really great response from all of you.
00:02:51.740 It was something that I've been thinking about for a while.
00:02:54.580 And I really like the idea of giving you guys exclusive content that you can't get anywhere
00:03:00.240 else.
00:03:00.780 That's really cool to me.
00:03:02.080 So getting to really invest my time into content that I know you'll see is just really exciting.
00:03:08.120 And it's something that I've put a lot of effort into and a lot of my heart into because
00:03:11.980 I've had to design it.
00:03:13.060 I've had to come up with what I want to share with you guys.
00:03:16.100 And it's giving me an opportunity to write again because I used to write for my blog,
00:03:19.960 but then I really started filming more often.
00:03:22.700 And the blog part of things didn't really stay.
00:03:26.420 And so now I'm getting the opportunity to write a weekly article just for you guys.
00:03:30.280 So that's really exciting and fun too.
00:03:32.440 I also wanted to chat a little bit about a conversation I had with a friend of mine.
00:03:36.580 And I thought it was fascinating.
00:03:38.800 She is definitely more on the left side of the aisle. 0.72
00:03:41.860 And she had been watching a PragerU video just because someone else that she knew was
00:03:47.780 watching it.
00:03:48.260 She wouldn't necessarily watch that on her own.
00:03:50.400 And she was shocked to learn that even though the Derek Chauvin trial has been hailed as finally
00:03:55.900 getting justice for George Floyd, it wasn't brought into court as a hate crime, there was
00:04:01.080 no accusation of it being a racist incident.
00:04:04.840 And it reminded me how the media narrative, if you are not going out of your way to find
00:04:12.060 alternative news sources that will show you both sides, you're not going to recognize
00:04:18.160 or hear the other side.
00:04:21.180 You're not going to know that even though everyone is saying that George Floyd has finally
00:04:26.460 gotten justice for this racist hate crime, Derek Chauvin's trial was really not about
00:04:31.580 race at all.
00:04:32.400 So it's just fascinating to me.
00:04:34.880 And it was interesting to hear her thoughts on that because as somebody who is not on the
00:04:39.500 right, she was kind of shocked to learn this herself.
00:04:43.800 So just something I was thinking about.
00:04:45.960 Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
00:04:47.220 Next up, I wanted to talk about the new CDC guidelines.
00:04:51.400 So the CDC just announced that if you are vaccinated, you are allowed to go outside in
00:04:57.980 the outdoors without a mask.
00:05:01.240 You are allowed to go outside in the outdoors without a mask, even if you weren't vaccinated.
00:05:06.900 That was something everyone agreed on by scientific standards, that COVID was not spread outdoors.
00:05:12.440 So why is this just now being allowed by the CDC for people who are vaccinated?
00:05:16.640 When literally everyone could go outside outdoors if you were six feet apart from someone else.
00:05:21.660 As long as you're socially distanced, then it wasn't an issue.
00:05:24.560 So here's the issue.
00:05:26.760 Here's the problem, right?
00:05:28.600 If the CDC guidelines are making it so unattractive to actually get a vaccination, where it doesn't
00:05:34.960 actually change your life all that much, why would anyone get it?
00:05:38.980 Now, if you're pro or against the vaccine, that's, you know, its own argument.
00:05:43.500 I totally understand both sides.
00:05:44.820 I truly do, but if you want to make the vaccine attractive to people, you have to give them
00:05:51.060 a reason to want to get it.
00:05:53.460 And if the reason you're giving them is that they can go outdoors without a mask, which
00:05:58.440 was allowed before this, why would anyone want to get the vaccine?
00:06:03.380 And what's crazy about it is that the vaccine has actually been proven to be super effective
00:06:07.840 at not spreading COVID and not allowing you to be a vector for COVID.
00:06:12.120 So really, if you get the vaccine, life should be able to return to normal for you.
00:06:16.900 But the CDC does not want that.
00:06:20.300 And please, everyone, if you've been vaccinated or not, if you're going to go outside, please
00:06:26.640 don't wear a mask.
00:06:27.840 It's so unnecessary.
00:06:28.960 Last but not least, I wanted to talk about the Oscars.
00:06:32.600 So the Oscars happened.
00:06:34.420 Did anyone know?
00:06:35.320 Because I didn't.
00:06:36.100 I truly did not.
00:06:37.020 I woke up the next morning and saw that there were reports about the Oscars, and I had no
00:06:41.240 idea that they had happened in the first place, which was fascinating to me.
00:06:44.700 So I'm wondering if anyone else watched them or if you cared about any of the things that
00:06:50.060 won this year, since I had not seen barely any of the movies that had been nominated.
00:06:54.240 So I'm really curious if anyone watched them.
00:06:56.620 I looked at some of the fashion afterward.
00:06:58.580 Wasn't a huge fan.
00:06:59.840 I don't know that there were any dresses that stood out to me.
00:07:03.700 Yeah, not my favorite year for that either.
00:07:06.500 But it's just, it's sad.
00:07:08.660 Who cares about the Oscars anymore?
00:07:10.640 Because the people who get up are just going to talk about politics and make you feel bad
00:07:15.740 for watching.
00:07:17.040 And at this point, who cares?
00:07:18.740 It's just annoying Hollywood elites who are all allowed to walk around without masks.
00:07:24.240 By the way, and go to a big party, hanging around with each other and patting each other
00:07:29.160 on the back.
00:07:30.140 And I'm not interested, personally.
00:07:32.540 But let me know in the comments what you guys think.
00:07:34.420 So that's it for today's video.
00:07:36.380 Thank you so much for watching.
00:07:38.120 Please subscribe to my channel if you haven't already.

00:07:45.820 Also make sure to head over to my sub stack.
