Classically Abby - Get In Friends, We're Going HOLIDAY Shopping! ｜｜ The Classic Girl's Gift Guide 2020

00:00:00.000 Hello classic crew and welcome to today's video where I'm going to be sharing the classic girl's

00:00:05.340 guide to gifts. So the holidays are almost upon us. This week is a really good week to go shopping

00:00:14.640 for Christmas, for Hanukkah, for the holidays. So I figured I would put together a list of ideas for

00:00:20.040 you guys to help give you some inspiration for what gifts you might want to give to your friends,

00:00:24.960 your family, and your loved ones. And I absolutely love buying gifts for people. I love figuring out

00:00:31.060 what's going to make them really excited, what's going to make them happy. That kind of thing speaks

00:00:35.020 to me. And so putting together a list like this actually wasn't too difficult for me because I

00:00:39.700 just thought about what are things that I would like to receive. And I talked to my husband and

00:00:43.440 asked him what are things that he would like to receive. I generally am someone who whenever

00:00:47.400 somebody mentions something that they'd like, I write it down or think about it and try and remember

00:00:51.680 it for later so that I can surprise them with it in case they don't end up purchasing it or they

00:00:56.260 didn't end up having a chance to buy it themselves. And then when they get it, they know that I was

00:01:00.300 listening to them over the course of the year. So I love putting together gift guides, gift lists.

00:01:06.140 It's one of my favorite things. And I have a lot of great gifts here and they are totally ranging in

00:01:10.840 price from really inexpensive to a little bit more pricey. So there's definitely options for everybody.

00:01:17.180 I've got a few options for kids and I've got options specifically for men, specifically for women,

00:01:20.960 and things that can cross over. So that just helps make the list even easier. And something I wanted

00:01:25.960 to mention before we got into today's video is that as I was thinking about things that I wanted to

00:01:31.280 share with you guys for this gift guide, I realized that a lot of the things that I wanted to talk about

00:01:35.920 were things that I've done sponsored videos for. So this video is not sponsored at all, but I do love

00:01:42.180 the products that I talk to you guys about. There's a reason that I talk to you about them. I try

00:01:46.860 everything before I ever accept a sponsorship. So I really wanted to talk about a few of those

00:01:51.780 things today because I absolutely love them. I enjoy them myself and I think other people

00:01:55.920 will love them too. So when I talk about those things, know that this video isn't sponsored.

00:02:01.420 It's just that I absolutely love them and I think that they would make great gifts.

00:02:05.440 So now that I've got that covered, let's get into it. The first thing I want to talk about

00:02:09.860 is a lit vanity mirror. So this was a lovely gift from my husband this year for my birthday and oh

00:02:16.520 my gosh, I am obsessed with it. I love it and I think it makes such a wonderful gift for the woman

00:02:22.980 in your life. If you have a girlfriend or wife or a mom who loves to sit at her vanity and do her 0.65

00:02:28.620 makeup, having good lighting makes all the difference for doing your makeup and doing your hair. And so

00:02:34.900 having a vanity mirror with lights around the edges is so important because when you're trying

00:02:40.680 to do your makeup in the dark, you can end up looking a little crazy, but having a good lighting

00:02:45.540 setup can make a huge difference to the way that you actually can do your makeup and your hair. So I

00:02:51.420 have it up on my vanity. I'm going to try and insert some b-roll here and I just absolutely love

00:02:56.400 having it here. My husband bought it for me on Amazon. I think it's about $150. There are some

00:03:01.360 cheaper versions. It has a different modes. It has brightness levels and it's all LED so the bulbs

00:03:07.120 aren't going to go out, which is fantastic. It also has a little USB plug, which I absolutely

00:03:12.220 appreciate. So this is a really good gift for a sister or a mom or a wife and I'm sure she would

00:03:19.140 appreciate it and it's a little bit out of the box too. The next thing I want to talk about is

00:03:22.620 something that'll be good for both men and women and that is a sleeping eye mask. So I just recently

00:03:27.840 purchased this on Amazon. I love having an eye mask that actually covers my ears because then

00:03:33.160 when I'm sleeping I don't hear as much and people can make a little bit more noise and it won't bother

00:03:37.760 me and this is such a nice eye mask. Having a nice eye mask can make a huge difference. Now there are

00:03:44.160 the ones that are kind of cutesy and are just a little bit more feminine that have maybe a satin cover

00:03:50.540 or something like that, but I find that they're less effective at actually helping me sleep. I'd rather

00:03:55.300 have a good eye mask that's practical than a cute eye mask that I never use. This is practical and I

00:04:01.720 love that it's adjustable so I can change how large it is so that if it's, you know, too small or too

00:04:07.360 big or whatever I can change it as opposed to the ones that are just one size fits all and then they

00:04:11.700 might be a little too small and that's really uncomfortable to sleep with or they're too big and

00:04:15.260 they just fall off. This also has a little nose guard which lets in less light. It's just a really nice

00:04:21.420 mask and I like how lightweight it is as well so if you're looking for a little small stocking stuffer

00:04:27.020 this is a really nice gift because it's just practical and useful and I mean who doesn't want

00:04:33.280 a nice night of sleep? I do. The next thing I think is a great gift are Bose headphones. Oh my gosh I can

00:04:41.800 barely hear you right now and I don't even have the noise cancelling function on. Bose headphones are

00:04:47.540 awesome. They're really pricey so that is not to say they're not expensive. They are but they are

00:04:53.100 something that is just so worth having. I've had this pair now for three years and they are like

00:04:58.340 brand new. They're really strong and they do such a great job. I don't see needing to replace these

00:05:03.440 for a really long time. My husband actually bought these for my birthday when we were dating and so these

00:05:08.740 actually mean something to me but having a nice pair of headphones that are noise cancelling just makes

00:05:13.040 all the difference for flights, for travel, even if you're working in a cafe, having a noise cancelling

00:05:18.480 pair of headphones makes a huge difference. I'll link a pair below that aren't just Bose headphones.

00:05:23.040 I think that there are a lot of other pairs available on Amazon that are less expensive. I don't know how

00:05:27.220 good the quality is but I'm sure that they do something so having just a nice pair of noise

00:05:32.000 cancelling headphones makes a really good gift for men and women and I think anyone would appreciate a

00:05:37.180 nice pair of headphones. The next gift I want to talk about is a weekend bag. So you can get a

00:05:42.400 weekend bag for men and for women. There are different kinds you can find. There are a lot

00:05:47.060 available on Amazon. I just recently got as a gift for my birthday I got this Vera Bradley bag which I

00:05:54.180 am so excited about. The idea of having just a weekend bag is super nice because I was struggling

00:06:01.000 with finding a bag that was big enough to hold what I needed but wasn't just a carry-on which felt

00:06:05.800 way too high maintenance. I preferred to have just an over-the-shoulder bag but that still held all my

00:06:11.000 stuff and having a weekend bag I'm just really excited about because I don't have to bring a

00:06:15.240 full suitcase to still have the space I need to bring the stuff that I want and I don't have too

00:06:19.820 much space either. It's just the perfect size. You can get ones that are a little bit more feminine

00:06:23.800 like the Vera Bradley ones and that are a little bit more pricey or you can get ones that are just

00:06:28.000 more masculine for men. They're all available on Amazon. There's a lot of different options and I'll link

00:06:32.380 a few below. The next thing I want to talk about is a robe. Having a robe is the best thing. A comfy robe

00:06:38.820 to put on in the morning and then to have your morning cup of coffee is just it's the best and so

00:06:44.580 getting a robe as a gift for the holidays is super nice especially because if you celebrate Christmas

00:06:49.920 they can put it on Christmas morning and it's perfect. So getting a cozy comfy robe there are a few

00:06:55.220 different ones. This one's from Amazon is just a really nice present and something that anyone would

00:07:00.560 appreciate. Next up I want to talk about a few board games. Board games are such good gifts for the

00:07:05.680 holidays and I love board games. As you guys know my husband and I are big board games enthusiasts.

00:07:11.380 My husband likes the really complicated ones. I like more of the party ones but they're all a lot

00:07:15.780 of fun. So some recommendations that I have are Taboo. Taboo is really fun for the whole family to get

00:07:22.440 together and play. I really enjoy it and it's easy. It's more like a party game. Then I also really like

00:07:28.340 this game called Above and Below. That one is more complicated. It's for I believe max four players but

00:07:34.020 it's a really wonderful game and it's not as much of a party game. There's actually more rules and

00:07:38.700 things that you have to learn but it's really well designed and you can learn it pretty quickly

00:07:43.260 plus there are stories involved which that's my favorite. I love when there are stories in the

00:07:47.980 games and if you're looking for a game for a guy that's going to be pretty complicated I would

00:07:52.020 recommend Scythe. I'm not the biggest fan of Scythe. It's a little bit too complicated for me but I can

00:07:56.940 play it so that's a score and it's in its favor and I know that a lot of guys really really like the

00:08:02.800 design of it. It's very interesting. It's got a lot of different levels and there's a cool story

00:08:07.160 behind it too. So I'll link all three of those games down below. Next up I want to talk about

00:08:11.540 this pair of sleeping headphones. Now a lot of people nowadays fall asleep to meditations or

00:08:16.880 they listen to that app Headspace I think it's called or they listen to music or something and

00:08:22.180 falling asleep with an actual pair of headphones in is very uncomfortable. This is a really good

00:08:26.980 solution to that. It's like a headband and the headphones are very flat so you can sleep on this

00:08:30.840 very easily. It's not uncomfortable. It's easy. I think this is a really nice solution if you're

00:08:35.080 looking for a way to listen to stuff while you're lying down or trying to fall asleep but you don't

00:08:39.080 want something uncomfortable. My next recommendation is a spa night kit which I love giving people gifts

00:08:45.220 that have like a few different pieces. One of the things that I really love are bath trays. They're

00:08:49.880 trays that you can put across your bathtub and you can rest your book and your glass of wine or your cup

00:08:55.320 of water and whatever else you need on this little tray and it just makes the whole bath feel much

00:09:01.220 more spa-like. So if you buy something like that which you can definitely get on Amazon you can

00:09:05.420 create kind of like a little kit. You can buy a book that you really love and you think that this

00:09:09.740 person would enjoy and then also maybe include a shower gel or a bubble bath or something like that

00:09:15.080 and then you have just this little kit that had a little more thought than each of those things

00:09:19.200 separately. When you put them together it kind of encourages that person to take a night for

00:09:23.740 themselves because now they have a kit to do so. Next up I want to talk about my Classically Abby

00:09:28.760 earrings that I designed with Rachel Lynn Jewelry. I love these earrings. I think they are perfect for

00:09:34.200 the holiday season and they are limited edition. They're going to be done selling December 11th.

00:09:38.680 I think this is a really nice gift for the holiday season and something that anyone would really love to

00:09:43.620 wear and enjoy. They're just that perfect level of classic and also really feminine and they're just so

00:09:50.440 unique. So I wanted to recommend those because I absolutely love them. I plan on wearing them

00:09:54.900 throughout the holiday season and I think they are just going to be a perfect gift for that woman in 0.65

00:10:00.080 your life who's looking for something that is just a little bit more special. The next thing I wanted

00:10:04.360 to mention are watches. I love watches. I think that watches make beautiful gifts. I think that watches

00:10:11.120 are just a perfect gift. They're so classic. You can get them back engraved with something sweet.

00:10:15.760 You can get them from a lot of different places. I do want to talk about Nord Green briefly because I think

00:10:20.440 watches are really beautiful and high quality and they have that really classic design. I absolutely

00:10:25.760 love my Nord Green watch. I've got it here and I think this is just a beautiful gift. I think anyone

00:10:31.000 would really appreciate a watch that was this classic and getting a watch for a man or for a woman is just

00:10:36.900 a really, really sentimental and thoughtful gift, especially if you get something engraved on the back.

00:10:41.580 You don't have to, but I always like doing so. Now for kids, I definitely wanted to recommend a series

00:10:46.320 of books that I think most people don't even know exist and those are the Wizard of Oz books.

00:10:51.580 People know that there's one book, the Wizard of Oz, which the movie was based on, but they're

00:10:56.200 actually a series of 14 Wizard of Oz books that I grew up on and absolutely loved. I think they are

00:11:02.680 so much fun, so well written, so interesting, and I think that they're definitely a really good gift for

00:11:09.560 kids. So I would definitely recommend those and I think you can buy them in anthologies from Barnes & Noble,

00:11:14.500 probably on Amazon as well. Next up, I wanted to talk about my Kenzie. So the Kenzie is the IPL hair

00:11:21.080 removal kit that I talked about a few videos ago. I love this thing. I think this would make a

00:11:26.780 phenomenal gift. To give somebody the gift of removing their hair forever sounds incredible to

00:11:32.440 me. Again, this isn't sponsored. I just think this is such a cool product and it has made such a

00:11:38.180 difference for me and I cannot wait to keep using it and continuing to see results because I've seen

00:11:44.100 amazing, amazing results just in the short time that I've been using it. So definitely would think

00:11:49.280 this would be a great gift for anyone to get and I think you would have to give it in the right way.

00:11:54.700 Definitely something you'd have to maybe discuss in advance. You don't want to imply that somebody

00:11:58.900 needs it, but I think most women would actually just appreciate it. I don't think most women would 1.00

00:12:02.960 be offended. So yeah, this is something that I think is a really cool gift. Next up, I wanted to talk

00:12:07.800 about this cool pair of blue light glasses. I think blue light glasses are a great gift because you

00:12:13.220 don't actually have to worry about the prescription or the size like with clothes. You can just buy

00:12:18.460 these and hopefully they'll like the style, but they don't have to worry about, you know, the

00:12:22.880 prescription being correct and that's pretty cool. I love these ones. They're super cute. I love having

00:12:28.260 a pair of blue light glasses. They really help my eyes and I think they just make a great gift.

00:12:33.120 The last thing I wanted to talk about are a set of pearls. I think that pearls are the most classic gift

00:12:39.020 for the holidays. They can be dressed up, they can be dressed down, but they're so meaningful and

00:12:44.820 they're the kind of piece that lasts for years. And I absolutely love pearls. I have pearls from

00:12:50.540 Pearl Source. I really, really love them and enjoy them and I can wear them with so many different

00:12:56.960 outfits. So I think buying somebody a pair of pearl earrings or a pearl necklace, it's just a really

00:13:02.560 meaningful and beautiful gift. And I think that would be just like a really romantic gift as well.

00:13:07.360 And the last thing I want to recommend this year is a Bluetooth speaker. Bluetooth speakers are so

00:13:11.940 useful, so helpful. You can bring them with you anywhere and all of a sudden you have music loud

00:13:16.460 enough for everybody to hear and that makes a huge difference when you're trying to host a party or

00:13:20.880 a get-together or even just a picnic. It's just wonderful to have access to a speaker. So getting

00:13:26.260 a Bluetooth speaker, it just never goes wrong. Everyone always appreciates it. And we have the JBL

00:13:31.180 speaker. We love it. I'll link it down below and it would be a great gift for pretty much anyone.

00:13:36.480 I have to say, I have way more ideas. I could do a part two to this video, but this is already

00:13:42.840 pretty long. So I'm going to stop it here. I hope you guys enjoyed this list. Let me know in the

00:13:47.860 comments what your favorite gift you've ever gotten for a holiday was. I'd love to hear that.
