00:00:00.000 Thank you.
00:04:57.000 Matt Gaetz was one of the very few members in the entire Congress who bothered to stand up against permanent Washington on behalf of his constituents.
00:05:05.000 Matt Gaetz right now, he's a problem in the Democratic Party.
00:05:07.000 He can cause a lot of hiccups in passing applause.
00:05:10.000 So we're going to keep running those stories to get hurt again.
00:05:14.000 Stand for the flag and kneel in prayer.
00:05:17.000 If you want to build America up and not burn her to the ground, then welcome, my fellow patriots.
00:05:23.000 You are in the right place.
00:05:24.000 This is the movement for you.
00:05:27.000 You ever watch this guy on television?
00:05:29.000 It's like a machine.
00:05:30.000 Matt Gaetz.
00:05:31.000 I'm a canceled man in some corners of the internet.
00:05:35.000 Many days I'm a marked man in Congress, a wanted man by the deep state.
00:05:39.000 They aren't really coming for me.
00:05:41.000 They're coming for you.
00:05:43.000 I'm just in the way.
00:05:48.000 Marjorie Taylor Greene.
00:05:49.000 This woman, Klan mom, is especially upset with the three Republican senators who said they'll vote yes on Judge Ketanji Brown-Jackson, who's nominated for the Supreme Court.
00:05:59.000 She tweeted, Murkowski, Collins, and Romney are pro-pedophile.
00:06:03.000 They just voted for KBJ. Wow, where is Will Smith when you really need him, huh?
00:06:08.000 I mean...
00:06:08.000 Besides that being...
00:06:13.000 Disgusting.
00:06:15.000 Jimmy Kimmel is a total jerk, and it seems that his trend is to attack women, which is particularly troubling.
00:06:23.000 You know what?
00:06:24.000 If a conservative-leaning comedian or commentator said that about a member of the squad, about someone on the political left, well then certainly there would be mass outrage, cancellations, contracts in violation.
00:06:40.000 But because it's a Republican woman, because it's one of the women actually leading our country and providing vision for our party and our movement and inspiring people, I've seen it with my own eyes.
00:06:51.000 From the Atlantic coast all the way to the state of California.
00:06:55.000 She draws particular ire.
00:06:57.000 And Jimmy Kimmel also attacks Lauren Boebert all the time.
00:07:00.000 So there seem to be some reason why the women who actually step forward and lead in our movement and in our party get particularly nasty and violent comments from Hollywood.
00:07:13.000 See, what Jimmy Kimmel knows is when he gaslights violence against my colleague Marjorie Taylor Greene, That's going to mean more death threats.
00:07:20.000 That's going to mean her town hall meetings are less safe and secure because people are going to think it's cool and acceptable and allowable to talk like that about a woman.
00:07:29.000 And I reject it, and I believe that every member of Congress, every member of Hollywood, every member of society should do the same.
00:07:36.000 I'm joined today live in our congressional office.
00:07:38.000 We are streaming right now on Facebook, Instagram, Rumble, YouTube, Twitter, Getter.
00:07:44.000 We're glad you're with us.
00:07:45.000 I'm especially glad that my colleague Marjorie Taylor Greene is here.
00:07:48.000 Marjorie, you are not taking this lightly.
00:07:51.000 You see this for what it is.
00:07:53.000 Not a funny joke, but as an effort to try to do harm to you and your family and your constituents.
00:07:59.000 How have you responded?
00:08:00.000 Absolutely.
00:08:02.000 Well, first I was shocked.
00:08:03.000 I'm amazed that Jimmy Kimmel thinks that it's okay to use his platform on ABC News and on his show to call for violence against me.
00:08:16.000 Call for a man to hit a woman, because that's what he called for.
00:08:20.000 And he's trying to say it was just a joke.
00:08:22.000 I'm sorry, that's not a joke.
00:08:23.000 We have watched over the past few years now, especially during President Trump's presidency, where the left violently attacked Republicans.
00:08:32.000 I can remember Sarah Huckabee Sanders being assaulted and attacked in restaurants when she was with her family.
00:08:39.000 So your point is it does happen.
00:08:40.000 Oh, it happens.
00:08:41.000 People listen to this shit and then they go and do it.
00:08:43.000 Yeah, and Jimmy.
00:08:44.000 Jimmy knows it happens.
00:08:45.000 Totally.
00:08:46.000 And so, Matt, I'm really grateful for you in your character and as a man that would stand up and defend me as a woman because we need to recognize that women are The weaker sex and men are stronger than us and we're seeing it in our women's sports.
00:09:03.000 We're watching men dominate in women's sports like Leah Thomas in swimming.
00:09:08.000 But here's something Jimmy Kimmel should understand is I did report it to the Capitol Police because I'm taking that call of violence.
00:09:16.000 And that threat against my safety very seriously, and also for my family.
00:09:22.000 Because we can't, we can't, well, what we can expect, Matt, is for the left to react to what he's calling for.
00:09:29.000 And they want it to happen.
00:09:32.000 But here's something I'd also like for everyone to understand.
00:09:35.000 We aren't those kind of people.
00:09:37.000 And, you know, in my family, if my husband had been there and had heard Jimmy Kimmel or any other man call for me to be smacked down by another man, and he's apparently too weak to want to do it himself, My husband, you know my husband, he would not have tolerated that, and he probably would have taken action against him, and rightfully so, because men should defend women.
00:09:59.000 Which, by the way, is the whole reason I was Team Will Smith at the beginning.
00:10:03.000 I thought that Chris Rock's joke about Will Smith's wife was totally inappropriate because he was making fun of an immutable trait.
00:10:11.000 You know, you shouldn't make fun of people ever For something that they can't change about themselves.
00:10:16.000 We all should be light-hearted.
00:10:18.000 I don't think jokes should be canceled in society.
00:10:20.000 But here, you had a circumstance where Will Smith, I thought, was defending his wife.
00:10:26.000 And by the way, Jimmy Kimmel, not only would Marjorie Taylor Greene's husband make quick work of you.
00:10:32.000 Marjorie Taylor Greene would make quick work of you.
00:10:34.000 And if you don't believe that, you can go ask the Marines that did pull-ups with her at the Iowa State Fair.
00:10:39.000 And my guess is that Jimmy Kimmel would not last too long if he himself were interested in Well, I would like to point out, though, as he's calling me such a nasty name as Klan Mom, which I find very insulting.
00:11:02.000 Jimmy Kimmel is in the past worn blackface, which is something I've never done.
00:11:07.000 So that is something to point out is what a racist and what a pig he is.
00:11:11.000 Well, his critiques of particularly you and our colleague Lauren Boebert are highly gendered critiques, right?
00:11:20.000 Because he's, oh, you're a Klan mom, right?
00:11:22.000 So like he's attacking you as a mom and as a woman.
00:11:25.000 And then he attacks Lauren Boebert and says, oh, she looks like stepmom porn.
00:11:29.000 See how he does that?
00:11:32.000 He's doing it to try to undermine you, not based on the views and positions you take, but based on your gender.
00:11:38.000 You deserve to be hit.
00:11:40.000 Boebert deserves to be overly sexualized.
00:11:42.000 It's totally gross.
00:11:43.000 And honestly, ABC, where are you at?
00:11:45.000 ABC would have canceled any conservative or any Republican for saying anything close to this.
00:11:51.000 But because it's woke, It's okay.
00:11:53.000 And the American people need to see it for what it is.
00:11:55.000 Speaking of wokeness, you have really been a stalwart in this Congress against socialism.
00:12:01.000 Stop socialism has been a big theme of the political movement that you lead.
00:12:07.000 And we are seeing at the National Defense University an embrace of socialism.
00:12:12.000 I want you to react.
00:12:12.000 Let's put up on the screen.
00:12:14.000 Thomas Piketty comes in to the National Defense University and says that the way that we need to respond to China...
00:12:21.000 Is to embrace global justice and democratic socialism.
00:12:25.000 And he actually wrote the book, this book, Thomas Piketty, Time for Socialism.
00:12:30.000 As you sit here in the Congress and fight against socialism, what is your reaction to the fact that at the National Defense University, funded by American taxpayers, you have this person coming in to evangelize values we don't believe?
00:12:42.000 Well, this is what we see every day.
00:12:44.000 This is the enemy within, Matt.
00:12:47.000 And anyone in that type of position, they should be fired.
00:12:51.000 See, it's sort of like, why compare China to Kudzu?
00:12:57.000 China has come in and they're like spies.
00:12:59.000 They've moved into our country.
00:13:01.000 They're buying our farmland.
00:13:02.000 They're taking over our universities.
00:13:04.000 They're bringing their businesses here.
00:13:06.000 They're involved.
00:13:07.000 They're in our government.
00:13:08.000 They're even in the PTA. They're in all of our groups, all across our country.
00:13:13.000 That's something that we know.
00:13:14.000 And I'll explain this, I'll use an analogy, kudzu.
00:13:18.000 Kudzu is a vine that we brought, we imported.
00:13:22.000 For those of you who are not from an SEC state, kudzu is a vine that will actually engulf you if you walk slowly through the American Southeast.
00:13:30.000 Yeah, it's true.
00:13:31.000 And so they brought it over to America and they brought it to the South in the early 1900s.
00:13:36.000 And the idea was to plant it So that it would hold the soil and prevent erosion.
00:13:41.000 But what kudzu does is it's a rapidly growing vine, and it climbs everything.
00:13:46.000 It climbs trees, it devours trees, it kills the trees.
00:13:49.000 If a car is sitting there long enough, it will grow over the car, grows over houses.
00:13:53.000 I mean, we see this all over the South, right?
00:13:55.000 So China is like kudzu.
00:13:57.000 And here's the problem with kudzu.
00:13:59.000 And I'm using this analogy with socialism as well.
00:14:02.000 You can't just kill kudzu with weed killer.
00:14:05.000 You can't just cut the vine and it goes away.
00:14:08.000 See, you have to literally rip it out at the root, Matt.
00:14:12.000 You have to rip it out at the root and completely remove it from the soil to prevent it from growing and taking over.
00:14:21.000 And that's what's happening in our country.
00:14:23.000 And these Marxist ideas and socialism, and it is seeping in.
00:14:29.000 It's like poison in our well, and it's like kudzu climbing all over our houses and cars and our trees and suffocating the life out of our trees.
00:14:38.000 And that's what's happening in our businesses, our schools, our culture, with our young people.
00:14:44.000 This socialism and Marxism is like kudzu, and we have to rip it out at the root.
00:14:49.000 If socialism is the kudzu, she's the roundup.
00:14:52.000 We're live from the Capitol complex in my office.
00:14:55.000 The live stream's going crazy.
00:14:57.000 Abby Morgan, I admire, rep MTG. And Jamie Wise Martin making the point, you know, it was Castro who used this notion of social democracy, social democrat, initially in some of his communication.
00:15:12.000 And what we're seeing...
00:15:14.000 At the National Defense University, indicative of that.
00:15:16.000 We're going to skip the full Austin clip, guys.
00:15:18.000 What I want to do is I want to go to some of this gendered training that we see required in the military.
00:15:26.000 Outside your office, there is a sign that says there are two genders, and yet in our military, a military that in some ways is not keeping pace with some of our adversaries, they are doing mandatory training on pronouns of all things.
00:15:42.000 And while, you know, Russia is out there using hypersonic weapon systems, as China is demonstrating global launch capability with hypersonics, our service members are forced to sit there and do gender identity training.
00:15:54.000 Your reaction?
00:15:55.000 I don't think that's going to help protect America very much.
00:15:58.000 We're about to be invaded at the southern border, and so our military, our border patrol, and people that will be encountering the drug dealers bringing deadly fentanyl across the border, the human smuggling, potentially terrorists, very likely terrorists coming across our border because that's what they do.
00:16:13.000 We know there are people coming across the border that are on the special interest list.
00:16:17.000 That's not even a question.
00:16:18.000 Yeah, and our president has no interest in stopping that, and the border czar is completely missing in action.
00:16:23.000 So, yeah, these things are terrifying.
00:16:25.000 So what are they going to do?
00:16:27.000 Stop them at the southern border?
00:16:28.000 Or we're in engagement and actually military conflict?
00:16:31.000 Are they going to say, ma'am, wait, sir, what is your preferred pronouns before we, you know, go into this conflict?
00:16:40.000 It's absurd.
00:16:41.000 It's absurd.
00:16:42.000 It's laughable.
00:16:43.000 I think the world is laughing at us, Matt.
00:16:46.000 And we fall behind as a consequence.
00:16:48.000 What I think people need to understand is that when these institutions that are supposed to be focused on critical things for the benefit of America, instead, you know, Embrace kind of this social change ideology.
00:17:01.000 It's not just the harm of the social change ideology.
00:17:04.000 It's the harm of that distraction.
00:17:07.000 We also see the way the left has used education to try to advance their values.
00:17:12.000 And the military is starting to do the very same thing at West Point.
00:17:15.000 One of the things that really bothers me is the embrace of critical race theory at West Point.
00:17:20.000 And when our colleague, Congressman Waltz, asked questions of Secretary Austin and Mark Milley, They were pretty honest about the fact that they embraced that.
00:17:30.000 General Milley was talking about how he wanted to understand his white rage.
00:17:34.000 Viewers, take a listen and take a look.
00:17:36.000 This was an episode we did a clip from it on critical race theory at West Point.
00:17:41.000 Take a listen.
00:17:43.000 At West Point, lectures are presented by Dr. Carol Anderson on understanding whiteness and white rage.
00:17:50.000 Since I nominate future military officers to West Point as part of my job in Congress, I wanted to know what Dr. Anderson thought about whiteness.
00:17:59.000 She wrote that the Republican Party yearns for a white republic, and that the Republican Party platform is white nationalism.
00:18:08.000 This is the nonsense that General Milley is defending.
00:18:11.000 Instead of Dr. Anderson, we should have instructors who can teach the next generation of commanding officers to win on the modern battlefield, less CRT, more cyber.
00:18:24.000 There you go.
00:18:26.000 I mean, what do you think about our military service academies really starting to look more like the worst parts of our university system and not the best parts of our country?
00:18:38.000 I think we're weakening America in every way.
00:18:41.000 And what young person wants to go to these academies anymore?
00:18:44.000 Where they know they're going to be forced to be vaccinated, whether they think they need it or not.
00:18:49.000 A big issue, by the way.
00:18:50.000 Huge issue.
00:18:51.000 Big issue.
00:18:52.000 I've had, you know, we do appoint, we appoint people to these academies.
00:18:57.000 And just six months ago, I had a young man that ended up leaving, and he left because he refused to get vaccinated, and they had treated him terribly for months.
00:19:06.000 Oh, I had a very similar circumstance with one of the wonderful patriotic Americans I had the opportunity to nominate, and our country is not stronger because they have driven these people away from military service.
00:19:19.000 No.
00:19:20.000 Our country is weaker.
00:19:21.000 We are weaker.
00:19:22.000 We're in bad shape.
00:19:24.000 Do you support when we get back in the majority passing legislation to restore these people and to give reparations to those who've been driven out of the military?
00:19:33.000 Absolutely, they should be restored.
00:19:35.000 They should be rightfully restored.
00:19:39.000 And we have to repeal this forced vaccination for COVID-19 vaccines.
00:19:44.000 We need to investigate the VAERS system.
00:19:46.000 I have a bill for that.
00:19:47.000 We should investigate all of the reports, deaths, myocarditis, miscarriages, permanent disabilities.
00:19:54.000 All of these reports are on the VAERS system and no one has investigated them.
00:19:58.000 No, and you and I have talked about the need in a Republican majority to focus on oversight first.
00:20:03.000 That is our shared vision.
00:20:05.000 And you've been doing a tremendous amount of oversight, whether it's been on the January 6th issue, the way people have been unfairly treated following January 6th.
00:20:13.000 But this is what the Health Care Committee should be doing.
00:20:15.000 The Health Care Committee Within energy and commerce should be focused on whistleblowers around this vaccine and what information we can get out in the public.
00:20:24.000 Absolutely.
00:20:25.000 And by the way, I'm not prejudging that information.
00:20:27.000 No.
00:20:27.000 But I think there is often a cover-up when you have big pharma involved.
00:20:31.000 And I'm not saying that I have absolute certainty of that at this stage of the game, but we should be willing to ask those tough questions.
00:20:39.000 Marjorie, this week in the House Judiciary Committee...
00:20:42.000 We had a bill pass committee prepare for the floor to make the Black National Anthem our national hymn.
00:20:50.000 And my belief is that we are one country.
00:20:54.000 Absolutely.
00:20:55.000 We pledge our allegiance to one flag.
00:20:58.000 Yes, one flag.
00:20:59.000 We sing one anthem.
00:21:00.000 Right.
00:21:00.000 I pray to one God.
00:21:01.000 I get other people might not, but that's kind of my thing.
00:21:04.000 Me too, one God.
00:21:04.000 And the notion that we would like erode the meaning and significance of our national anthem...
00:21:10.000 With the black national anthem as the national hymn was crazy.
00:21:13.000 Our friend and colleague Dan Bishop of North Carolina had some hilarious questioning around this in the House Judiciary Committee.
00:21:20.000 Take a listen.
00:21:20.000 Okay.
00:21:22.000 So how is the proposed national hymn to differ from the national anthem?
00:21:28.000 A hymn represents a song of joy and praise, an anthem.
00:21:35.000 We already have a national anthem which celebrates the country.
00:21:42.000 And has always been recognized as a hymn from the very start.
00:21:46.000 Well, you say that, but even some of the materials from the committee staff say that, and I believe Mr. Cohen mentioned it, that Lift Every Voice and Sing is known colloquially as the Black National Anthem.
00:22:02.000 When would it be appropriate for the hymn to be featured versus the anthem?
00:22:06.000 So basically how it's currently done is they're often played in tandem.
00:22:10.000 They're often, they're often, the way it's currently done is they're often played in tandem.
00:22:15.000 I see.
00:22:17.000 That's more concerning.
00:22:19.000 As at the Super Bowl, for example, was done.
00:22:22.000 Yeah, I think I do hear that.
00:22:24.000 And I'm troubled that there would be the playing effectively of two national anthems.
00:22:28.000 That's exactly what my concern is.
00:22:30.000 Let me ask this.
00:22:31.000 How many Americans, what percentage of Americans know and or have affection for Lift Every Voice and Sing?
00:22:38.000 Do we know that?
00:22:39.000 It's a song that's been sung for 120 years.
00:22:44.000 I have no idea the statistic.
00:22:46.000 Let me just pose a hypothetical and then you maybe cover that as well.
00:22:48.000 Let's say 20% of Americans know what this composition is.
00:22:52.000 Does the fact that the other 80% of Americans don't even know this hymn?
00:22:58.000 Cause you any pause about whether we ought to declare it to be the national hymn?
00:23:02.000 I'm sorry, I didn't catch that question.
00:23:04.000 If 80% of Americans don't even know what this hymn is, never heard it before, does that not cause you pause about the legitimacy or the appropriateness of declaring it to be a national hymn?
00:23:13.000 I don't know if the gentleman will yield.
00:23:15.000 Thank you for the answer to that question.
00:23:17.000 I don't know where you get your statistic that 80% of Americans don't know the hymn.
00:23:21.000 I don't know that anyone has taken a poll, but it's been sung at many, many occasions, at presidential inaugurations, at Super Bowls, at Coachella's.
00:23:35.000 I presume a very large number of Americans know it.
00:23:39.000 I have no statistic.
00:23:41.000 I don't know that anybody's taken a poll.
00:23:44.000 You know, I regret that in that moment, I did not demand that Jerry Nadler sing the Black National Anthem for us.
00:23:50.000 Because my guess is that Jerry Nadler doesn't know.
00:23:53.000 He doesn't know.
00:23:54.000 He would need the sheet in front of him to be able to...
00:23:56.000 His assistant would have hurried and got it right there.
00:24:00.000 I should have said, Jerry Nadler, if you could sing the Black National Anthem right now, I'll vote for it.
00:24:04.000 Because that certainly could know.
00:24:05.000 This bill's coming to the floor, Marjorie.
00:24:07.000 How are you voting?
00:24:07.000 I'll be voting no.
00:24:09.000 We only have one national anthem, and I'm not a racist.
00:24:11.000 So I don't know why we need to elevate one race over the other.
00:24:15.000 We're all one nation under God, and that's the only anthem.
00:24:19.000 We have one flag, and that is what's being anti-racist.
00:24:23.000 When we don't divide ourselves up into groups, into races, into identities, ideologies, you know, Genders or 50 genders or whatever there may be.
00:24:34.000 That's how we avoid those things by being one nation with one flag and one national anthem.
00:24:40.000 And if we were to have a national hymn, what about Amazing Grace?
00:24:42.000 You know what I mean?
00:24:43.000 A song people know.
00:24:45.000 Absolutely.
00:24:46.000 A hymn sort of implies an element that is not, I don't know, maybe not fully reflected here.
00:24:52.000 But I'll be voting no.
00:24:53.000 I voted no in committee.
00:24:54.000 Dan Bishop with the brilliant questions.
00:24:56.000 If they're going to designate this as the beloved hymn, we should probably know whether or not it's beloved.
00:25:00.000 Yeah, and take a poll.
00:25:02.000 I don't think most people have no idea what it is.
00:25:06.000 Well, we certainly know where we stand on it.
00:25:09.000 We love our great country.
00:25:10.000 We love our great anthem.
00:25:11.000 Got a lot of folks right now agreeing with us.
00:25:14.000 One Nation Under God from Abby Morgan.
00:25:17.000 And, you know, the other question I'm getting a lot, I was supposed to be on Louder with Crowder today, which I was really, really looking forward to, but Nancy Pelosi held us for a 15-minute vote for one hour.
00:25:29.000 For one hour.
00:25:30.000 So to those of you who were looking forward to that interview, I'll definitely try to get back on that show.
00:25:36.000 But we're here now.
00:25:37.000 We're going to have major breaking news.
00:25:38.000 We're so grateful for Marjorie Taylor Greene joining us.
00:25:41.000 I know you've got to get out of here and go somewhere.
00:25:43.000 But one of the reasons why Crowder wanted to have us on was my questioning of Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
00:25:50.000 So good.
00:25:50.000 We've been talking about some of those issues today.
00:25:53.000 We're going to go to that clip in just a moment.
00:25:54.000 So if you're watching now, you're going to get the full deal.
00:25:57.000 Not the abridged version.
00:25:58.000 You're going to get the full five minutes.
00:26:00.000 Every second of it is worthwhile.
00:26:02.000 Then we're going to come back out of that clip, and I'm going to break some news.
00:26:05.000 I'm going to tell you the follow-on action we are taking relative to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
00:26:10.000 And hey, even Sleepy Joe gave me a shout-out yesterday.
00:26:15.000 Apparently, my questioning of Austin was so good, there was a Biden reaction.
00:26:18.000 I'll be responding to that in a moment.
00:26:20.000 Thanks so much, Marjorie, for joining us.
00:26:22.000 Thanks for being such a great fighter.
00:26:24.000 And to all those who would try to Try to tear you down.
00:26:28.000 Try to discourage you.
00:26:29.000 Know that there are an army of Americans out there who are peaceful and patriotic and loving, and they are inspired by the work you do in Congress, as am I. Thanks for joining us.
00:26:38.000 Enjoy five good minutes with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and my tough questions.
00:26:45.000 Secretary Austin, why should American taxpayers fund lectures at the National Defense University that promote socialism as a strategy to combat China?
00:26:56.000 It's the National Defense University.
00:27:02.000 It's an academic institution, and I don't know of any such lecture.
00:27:09.000 Well that's surprising because it was widely reported.
00:27:11.000 The National Defense University had Thomas Piketty come, and this was the title of his lecture, responding to China, the case for global justice and democratic socialism.
00:27:22.000 So now that you know that they did this, would you agree that embracing socialism is not an effective strategy to combat China?
00:27:31.000 Well, I certainly don't agree with embracing socialism.
00:27:34.000 I'm sorry.
00:27:36.000 We're not going to do this.
00:27:37.000 We're not going to let the guy say four words and still talk and then cut him off.
00:27:40.000 I control the time, Mr. Chairman.
00:27:42.000 Yeah, but you also have to be fair to the witnesses.
00:27:44.000 No, but I got the answer.
00:27:45.000 I wanted to have a follow-up.
00:27:46.000 My follow-up question is, if we don't embrace it, Then, I guess, why did the National Defense University put out a statement?
00:27:54.000 Again, this is funded by U.S. taxpayers, saying in this talk, Mr. Piketty will argue that the right answer lies in ending Western arrogance and promoting a new emancipatory and egalitarian horizon on a global scale, a new form of democratic and participatory Ecological and post-colonial socialism.
00:28:14.000 So why would we invite people we don't agree with to evangelize views and values that we don't share at the National Defense University when we should be learning strategy about how to combat our enemies and make assessments that are accurate?
00:28:29.000 And we do learn a lot about strategy and about the military and about joint force development.
00:28:41.000 in these institutions.
00:28:43.000 I don't know what the context of this particular Mr. Secretary, I've shared with you the context.
00:28:52.000 The context wasn't better understand socialism so we can defeat it.
00:28:55.000 The context wasn't learn about it so that we can offer countermeasures.
00:28:59.000 The concept was that it's time for socialism.
00:29:02.000 And the reason I know that's the context is because the lecture was pulled from a book written by Thomas Piketty entitled Time for Socialism.
00:29:11.000 And I just can't help but, like, notice...
00:29:13.000 And so your question was whether or not we...
00:29:14.000 I control the time.
00:29:15.000 You guys have been blowing a lot of calls lately on matters of strategy, Mr. Secretary.
00:29:20.000 You guys told us that Russia couldn't lose.
00:29:23.000 You told us that the Taliban couldn't immediately win.
00:29:25.000 And so I guess I'm wondering, what in the $773 billion that you're requesting today is going to help you make assessments that are accurate in the face of so many blown calls?
00:29:35.000 You've seen what's in our budget.
00:29:43.000 You've seen how the budget matches the strategy.
00:29:46.000 And so I'll let that speak for itself.
00:29:47.000 Well, I mean, I've also seen that we're behind, Mr. Secretary.
00:29:51.000 We're behind in hypersonics.
00:29:52.000 We failed to deter Russia.
00:29:54.000 Last year, China flew more sorties...
00:29:55.000 So what do you mean we're behind in hypersonics?
00:29:57.000 How do you...
00:29:58.000 Okay, who's ahead in hypersonics?
00:29:59.000 How do you make that assessment?
00:30:02.000 I don't know.
00:30:03.000 I make that assessment because China is fielding hypersonic weapons systems and we are still developing them.
00:30:08.000 I make that assessment because Russia actually used one.
00:30:11.000 By the way, your own people brief us that we are behind and that China is winning.
00:30:16.000 Are you aware of the briefings we get on hypersonics?
00:30:19.000 I am certainly aware of briefings that we provide to Congress.
00:30:22.000 But it's not just the Hypersons.
00:30:23.000 It's all over the world.
00:30:24.000 It's in Taiwan, where China last year flew more sorties than ever before.
00:30:28.000 It's North Korea on pace to shatter prior records, the number of missiles that they are testing.
00:30:34.000 And so while everyone else in the world seems to be developing capabilities and being more strategic, we got time to embrace critical race theory at West Point, to embrace socialism at the National Defense University, to do mandatory pronoun training.
00:30:47.000 You know, again, this is the most capable, the most combat-credible force in the world.
00:30:53.000 It has been, and it will be so going forward.
00:30:57.000 Not if we continue down this path.
00:30:58.000 Not if we embrace socialism.
00:31:00.000 The fact that you're embarrassed by your country?
00:31:02.000 Oh, no, no.
00:31:03.000 I'm embarrassed by your leadership.
00:31:04.000 I am not embarrassed for my country.
00:31:06.000 I wish we were not losing to China.
00:31:08.000 It's what you're saying.
00:31:09.000 You know what?
00:31:10.000 That is so disgraceful that you would sit here and conflate your failures with the failures of the uniformed service members.
00:31:18.000 You guys said that Russia would overrun Ukraine in 36 days.
00:31:22.000 You said that the Taliban would be kept at bay for months.
00:31:25.000 You totally blew those calls.
00:31:27.000 And maybe we would be better at them if the National Defense University actually worked a little more on strategy and a little less on wokeism.
00:31:34.000 Has it occurred to you that Russia has not overrun Ukraine because of what we've done and our allies have done?
00:31:39.000 But that was baked into your flawed assessment.
00:31:41.000 That was baked into your flawed assessment.
00:31:43.000 And so I saw that the Obama administration tried to destroy our military by starving it of resources, and it seems the Biden administration is trying to destroy our military by force-feeding it woke-ism.
00:31:54.000 I yield back.
00:31:56.000 A big part of that dispute focuses on our military doing incredibly unserious things like critical race theory and pronoun training with genders and the socialism lecture embrace while missing out on things that are critical.
00:32:16.000 That must happen, that we must get better at like hypersonics.
00:32:20.000 So there was a big factual dispute there between me and the Secretary of Defense that we have to be able to unravel for the sake of the country and the decisions we make on the president's budget regarding our military.
00:32:31.000 I mean, remember, these guys are asking for $773 billion in taxpayer money.
00:32:37.000 So we should be getting better at the stuff that really matters like hypersonics.
00:32:41.000 Now, here's the stone-cold truth that every member of the Armed Services Committee knows.
00:32:47.000 They absolutely know it.
00:32:49.000 The Secretary of Defense said things in response to my questions that directly contradict what his own people said to us in a briefing last month.
00:33:02.000 Now, I would love to lay out for you in Technicolor exactly The capabilities in hypersonics that the Chinese have and the Russians have and that we have, whether it comes to stockpiles, volumes, speeds, targeting, all of that.
00:33:17.000 I know it, but I learned it in classified setting.
00:33:21.000 And so, to resolve these issues, to embrace transparency, to expose that the Secretary of Defense was either knowingly or unknowingly lying to the House Armed Services Committee, Today,
00:33:37.000 I am sending a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin demanding that he declassify the materials that were provided to House Armed Services Committee members regarding the hypersonics program at our classified briefing last month.
00:33:52.000 If the Secretary of Defense is confident that he's right and that I'm wrong and the U.S. is ahead and China's behind, Declassify those materials.
00:34:03.000 They are very, very precise.
00:34:05.000 They are very detailed.
00:34:07.000 And they tell a consistent story.
00:34:10.000 And that story was consistent until the Secretary of Defense showed up.
00:34:14.000 And really...
00:34:17.000 It has a grave impact on decisions we make regarding basing, regarding offensive and defensive systems, regarding how we think about nuclear deterrence, because hypersonic systems can deliver nuclear payloads.
00:34:30.000 So I know of what I speak regarding hypersonics.
00:34:33.000 I know it because of the briefings that the Department of Defense has provided to us.
00:34:38.000 And today I'm calling on the Secretary of Defense to make the contents of that brief in terms of the materials provided to Congress.
00:34:47.000 Unclassified.
00:34:48.000 And then you know what?
00:34:49.000 He will be exposed for the abject liar that he was in the Armed Services Committee.
00:34:54.000 Now you know that it's quite the event in a committee hearing, quite an examination, when even the President of the United States has to weigh in and comment.
00:35:05.000 Here's President Biden yesterday.
00:35:08.000 You may have seen yesterday on television when the Secretary of Defense was being cross-examined by one of our, how can I say it, our congresspersons, saying, what have you done?
00:35:22.000 And he basically looked at him and said, what the hell do you think we've done?
00:35:25.000 Why do you think you're able to fight?
00:35:26.000 We've trained them and we've given them the weapons.
00:35:29.000 That's what's happening.
00:35:33.000 Secretary Austin, when the addled president, when sleepy Joe has to clean up for your mess, that's when you know it really didn't go well.
00:35:43.000 I mean, this went so bad for the Biden administration, somebody had to actually bring this to Joe Biden and show it to him, right?
00:35:50.000 Like, I don't get the sense that Joe Biden is, like, sitting around in the Oval Office watching, like, the back-and-forth questioning in hour number two of the Armed Services Committee hearing on the budget.
00:36:00.000 If he is...
00:36:02.000 Then there might be other things that you would need to be paying attention to.
00:36:05.000 But nonetheless, someone brought this to Biden, they showed him that it was a disaster, and he wanted to go out there and defend his terrible pick for Secretary of Defense.
00:36:14.000 And look, it's no wonder Lloyd Austin is failing in a lot of these endeavors.
00:36:18.000 He has had a lot of failures even before he was named secretary of defense, especially in Syria, where he was responsible for standing up a force to fight Assad to fight ISIS.
00:36:28.000 And I think that like after spending around 100 million bucks, he had four or five fighters that were actually capable of surviving first contact with the enemy.
00:36:36.000 So the secretary of defense, very misguided, the president of the United States trying to clean up for him.
00:36:42.000 And like to the merits of Biden's point, these guys made an assessment that no matter what America did, that if we did the max of our capability, 36 days was the number.
00:36:55.000 If we did the minimum, they were going to be overrun in six days.
00:36:58.000 The assessment was six days to 36 days.
00:37:01.000 And they totally blew that call.
00:37:03.000 But what are you expecting?
00:37:04.000 This is the same group of people who said that the Taliban would be kept at bay for months.
00:37:09.000 That there was no scenario, after all the wargaming that they did, after the hundreds of billions of dollars that we send over The Potomac River to the Pentagon.
00:37:19.000 That they didn't have one scenario in Afghanistan where the Taliban overran the government.
00:37:24.000 And you know what?
00:37:25.000 That's because they were buying their own bullshit when it came to the capabilities of the Afghan government.
00:37:31.000 The reality was the Afghan government was a puppet government.
00:37:35.000 It was corrupt.
00:37:36.000 It didn't have the confidence of the people.
00:37:38.000 And because like the US was kind of part of that corruption by just pouring huge swaths of money over like barbarians and cave people, we didn't want to deal with our own culpability in that matter.
00:37:51.000 And so we assessed that that government would hold and 13 uniformed service members are dead As a consequence of Joe Biden's bad decisions, of Lloyd Austin and Mark Milley's bad military advice.
00:38:06.000 So let's hope we get to the bottom of it.
00:38:08.000 I'm confident that if the Secretary of Defense actually declassifies this information, that I will be proven right, and maybe we will even inspire a bipartisan consensus in the Congress to do more to catch up, to be in a place in hypersonics where China doesn't hold a qualitative military edge over us for any reason.
00:38:29.000 The live stream is on fire.
00:38:31.000 I guess bringing in Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene really makes that happen.
00:38:34.000 Andrea Foukas says that the whole Biden administration is a failure in response to my questioning of Secretary Austin.
00:38:42.000 Can't argue with that.
00:38:43.000 Nathan Bryan, he had a critical comment, said, unwoke equals uneducated.
00:38:49.000 Well, you know what?
00:38:50.000 I don't trust people with two first names anyway.
00:38:53.000 And if like, woke is conflated with educated, that's probably a bad thing too.
00:38:59.000 I think I'm rather educated.
00:39:00.000 I went to the great Florida State University, got a law degree from the College of William& Mary, America's first law school, by the way.
00:39:06.000 Very proud graduate of that institution.
00:39:09.000 And if anything, we should be doing a whole lot more to de-wokify our education, not just at West Point, not just in the military, in every aspect of society.
00:39:19.000 And if we do that, we'll be a better, stronger country.
00:39:23.000 Thanks so much for joining us.
00:39:24.000 Make sure that you have your notifications turned on.
00:39:27.000 That's how you're going to know when we go live.
00:39:29.000 If you're expecting me on Steven Crowder's show today, Nancy Pelosi got in the way a little bit.
00:39:34.000 She's having her own issues.
00:39:35.000 We're breaking news.
00:39:36.000 We just learned that Speaker Pelosi has COVID. We certainly wish her a rapid recovery.
00:39:41.000 And you know what?
00:39:42.000 If I have to bet on COVID or Nancy Pelosi, I'm probably betting on Nancy Pelosi.
00:39:47.000 She is one tough cookie.
00:39:49.000 Can't deny that.
00:39:50.000 And I hope she feels better.
00:39:53.000 It is something.
00:39:55.000 Weren't these the people who told us the vaccination stopped transmission, stopped getting the virus?
00:40:00.000 I think we've sort of deconstructed that myth.
00:40:02.000 It used to be that if you said that the vaccine didn't stop the virus, you were a conspiracy theorist and you got deplatformed from every major technology entity.
00:40:13.000 But now it's just an obvious fact.
00:40:15.000 We say it and we wish the speaker well.
00:40:17.000 Next week, Congress is back in the districts of this great country, so I'll be in northwest Florida.
00:40:23.000 So we may not have a show next week, but after that, we'll be live.
00:40:27.000 We'll be back in the congressional office, and we'll be offering you more of the Firebrand content that you seem to enjoy.
00:40:34.000 Leave us a five-star rating or review if you're listening.
00:40:36.000 Leave us a comment.
00:40:38.000 Tell us what you'd like to see.
00:40:39.000 It's been great.
