00:00:27.240 I mean, yeah, I don't know what to say.
00:00:35.760 Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk.
00:00:37.440 I'm Tashli Flo, a journalist, Hollywood truth teller, and your voice of reason in a town built on delusion.
00:00:43.820 I dressed up as a Christmas tree today.
00:00:45.860 As you can see, I'm still in the holiday spirit.
00:00:49.040 And that's why I wanted to give you guys a special gift today.
00:00:52.320 If you follow my channel and if you follow my community post,
00:00:56.400 you noticed probably that I put up a post asking you guys to help me remember the biggest moments
00:01:03.780 of Blake Lively's public appearances and backlashes in 2025, this year.
00:01:11.480 One of the reasons why I wanted to do that is obviously because Blake Lively is suing Justin Baldoni
00:01:16.500 for a smear campaign or a retaliation campaign.
00:01:21.380 And that's why I think it's important to look at Blake Lively's own actions in 2025,
00:01:27.280 after she filed the lawsuit, to see what kind of backlash she received in the public eye. 1.00
00:01:35.480 As you know, Justin Baldoni has not done any public appearances since this lawsuit was filed.
00:01:42.580 He's been keeping a very low profile.
00:01:45.380 So keep that in mind.
00:01:47.280 All right, let's just jump right in to February 16th.
00:01:51.920 That was Blake Lively's first public appearance after she filed the lawsuit.
00:01:57.300 And she went with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, to SNL 50, the 50-year anniversary of SNL.
00:02:06.440 And who could forget what happened during that celebration?
00:02:09.320 And Ryan Reynolds stood up in the audience and asked if he could ask a question.
00:02:14.780 Oh, hi, Ryan Reynolds.
00:02:16.500 Hi.
00:02:16.920 Hi.
00:02:19.980 Ryan Reynolds, how's it going?
00:02:22.060 Great.
00:02:22.760 Fine.
00:02:23.040 What have you heard?
00:02:25.800 Of course, everyone was talking about the expressions on the faces of everyone surrounding him,
00:02:32.240 Kevin Costner, amongst others.
00:02:34.720 And of course, a lot of people were reacting to the fact that he was making fun of his wife's situation.
00:02:41.080 He was making fun of the fact that his wife had sued another man or several men for S-H and retaliation.
00:02:49.980 And she was supposedly traumatized by this.
00:02:52.780 And he was making a joke about it.
00:02:55.060 Also, the night before, Ryan and Blake snapped a selfie with Chevy Chase.
00:03:00.340 One of the people, actually, that Ryan Reynolds has been compared to this year because Chevy Chase is one of the people with the worst reputation in this town.
00:03:09.660 And it seemed like he was the only person who was willing to take a selfie with Blake and Ryan.
00:03:14.980 And according to sources, most people at that event, at the SNL 50, avoided being around Blake and Ryan.
00:03:23.220 Then let's jump to March 7th, about a month later, where Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick were premiering their movie Another Simple Favor at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.
00:03:37.780 Everyone had really high expectations for what she was going to do this time.
00:03:42.920 And I don't think people were disappointed.
00:03:45.260 It started with Anna Kendrick being asked what it was like to work with Blake Lively again.
00:03:51.020 And she responded like this.
00:03:53.440 Anna, what does it mean to be working with Blake again?
00:03:55.860 We're talking about you all.
00:03:57.660 So everyone picked up on it.
00:03:59.360 Oh, you know.
00:04:00.200 I even made a t-shirt.
00:04:01.660 It's still for sale in my Etsy shop, by the way.
00:04:03.620 Oh, you know.
00:04:04.640 And there was so much sympathy pouring out to Anna Kendrick because people felt so sorry for her because she had to stand next to Blake Lively in all these photo calls and do interviews with her.
00:04:17.020 And there were rumors that the two of them were feuding already after the first Simple Favor.
00:04:23.100 So this just added to that drama.
00:04:25.660 And then my favorite moment, which was when Paul Feig, the director's wife, posed as a fan, pretending that she wanted to have a selfie taken with Blake Lively.
00:04:38.620 And it was so obvious because Paul Feig's wife was standing behind the barricade of the red carpet. 0.92
00:04:45.600 She should, of course, have been on the red carpet with her husband, but she was standing there and smiling and looking like a fan.
00:04:52.360 And they probably thought that we wouldn't notice, but we did.
00:04:57.000 Even Daily Mail picked it up and did a story about it.
00:04:59.780 How embarrassing it was that she doesn't have any fans anymore, so she has to get the director's wife to dress up as one. 0.97
00:05:08.280 When the movie was premiering in New York City, Blake Lively brought her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and some other friends.
00:05:15.160 Hugh Jackman was there and also Emily Blunt, disappointed.
00:05:19.940 And there were so many little viral moments from their appearance together on the red carpet.
00:05:24.460 But one of the things people noticed was that Blake Lively's dress had a yellow stain all over it.
00:05:30.880 So there was a lot of locomotion around that.
00:05:33.460 And also the fact that Ryan kept stepping on the train of her dress.
00:05:38.140 And she kept waving in front of his face, asking him to, like, leave or do something.
00:05:42.820 She looked aggressive.
00:05:44.160 And then some people were speculating if Ryan Reynolds was drunk because he looked like he was kind of out of it on that red carpet.
00:05:50.360 Blake, Blake, come on.
00:05:52.480 One more.
00:05:53.080 One more.
00:05:53.660 God.
00:05:54.460 So, yes, the comment sections online were on fire during this entire promo tour of Another Simple Favor.
00:06:03.880 Then let's jump to March 30th when Blake Lively had this really brilliant idea of visiting a local donut shop
00:06:12.800 and pretend she worked there because she's such a fan of donuts. 1.00
00:06:17.080 Of course, there were pictures of her everywhere being behind the counter with her long hair falling into the donut. 1.00
00:06:24.460 And people were like, that's a good idea.
00:06:25.460 And people were like, that is disgusting.
00:06:28.660 Why aren't you wearing a hair net?
00:06:30.560 So that whole thing exploded and it was everywhere.
00:06:33.880 And not only did people talk about this in the comment section, they actually reported the restaurant or the donut shop for not following health guidances.
00:06:45.720 Daily Mail did the story here saying the major update in Blake Lively's donut shop stunt saga.
00:06:51.620 It turned into a saga.
00:06:52.920 After disgusting acts led to investigation into the business.
00:06:58.080 So this donut shop was investigated over alleged unsanitary practices.
00:07:03.640 And people went bananas on Yelp and giving it horrible reviews.
00:07:10.160 So this donut shop really, really suffered for inviting Blake Lively into their store.
00:07:16.520 You know, just thinking about it, a small shop like that could really face bankruptcy after something like this happens.
00:07:23.020 You know, when people are trashing it in the comment section, trashing it on Yelp.
00:07:28.020 And there's headlines everywhere in the media about unsanitary practices.
00:07:33.720 So that stunt obviously didn't go as planned.
00:07:36.240 And this was one of Blake Lively's first stunts this year to try to be relatable and down to earth.
00:07:43.420 And yeah, it didn't work.
00:07:44.920 Then on April 16th, this was a moment we can never forget.
00:07:49.940 Time Magazine honored her on their Time 100 Most Influential list of people who influenced us in 2025.
00:07:59.520 Everyone was shocked and everyone was like, how could this happen?
00:08:03.980 And then we saw the letter from the person who actually wanted Blake to get nominated for this.
00:08:10.440 And she said, this is Cheryl Ifill, and she praised Blake Lively for being a philanthropist and student of our country's most intraceable problems.
00:08:23.180 And then she said that her and her husband contributed to NAACP Legal Defense Fund in 2019.
00:08:33.660 Six years ago, they gave money to a fund.
00:08:36.460 So that means that she should be the most influential person today.
00:08:41.820 This is the biggest joke of the year, I think, definitely.
00:08:45.580 And then the CEO of Time's 100 list was interviewed on the red carpet.
00:08:50.540 And she said this.
00:08:52.260 I just want to know about Blake, more about her being on the list.
00:08:55.760 What is it?
00:08:56.360 What makes her so special?
00:08:57.960 I think she's having a great year.
00:08:59.720 And our role is to be the humanities guide to trusted journalism.
00:09:04.180 And so we're the storytellers.
00:09:05.480 We've been telling stories for 100 years, and we're excited to tell her story.
00:09:10.540 Yes, Blake Lively had a great year.
00:09:13.980 I mean, yeah, I don't know what to say.
00:09:17.000 The thing is, that's not so good for Blake Lively's lawsuit.
00:09:19.680 She's complaining that her career has been tarnished because of this lawsuit.
00:09:24.200 And then she gets this award or this honoree.
00:09:27.540 Yeah, and then, of course, the big moment of the night when Blake Lively had a speech in front of all these people.
00:09:37.320 And that speech was something.
00:09:41.320 So tonight, I applaud each of you.
00:09:44.740 We can clap.
00:09:45.380 So in front of all these people, she talked about how her mother was almost killed by a work colleague.
00:09:53.760 But then she heard this woman's voice on the radio who had a similar experience.
00:10:00.060 And she didn't feel the shame.
00:10:02.140 And she moved on in her life.
00:10:04.280 And that's also why Blake Lively's mother survived.
00:10:08.940 And because of hearing that woman speak to her experience,
00:10:12.040 instead of shutting down in fear and unfair shame,
00:10:15.880 my mom is alive today.
00:10:17.640 And everyone was like, that story seems so off and weird.
00:10:23.520 And it doesn't make any sense.
00:10:25.680 And then there were rumors online that the person who had almost killed Blake Lively's mother was a woman.
00:10:31.860 And then other people were saying she just made it all up.
00:10:35.440 And, of course, who can forget how Blake's mom reacted to this?
00:10:39.680 I showed this the other day in another video.
00:10:43.000 Because I think it says it all about this whole scheme, about this whole family.
00:10:47.640 And about how they planned all of this.
00:10:50.180 Looking at Blake Lively's mom, who was looking at Ryan Reynolds, asking,
00:10:55.420 Should I cry?
00:10:56.960 Put it to every woman who understood. 0.99
00:10:59.300 It's not for us to have shame.
00:11:01.740 It's for them.
00:11:06.000 Yes.
00:11:06.720 And, of course, the comment sections went crazy again.
00:11:10.620 And everyone is like, what the F happened here?
00:11:14.140 Okay, so less than a month after that, Blake Lively came out again.
00:11:19.120 This time on Seth Meyers.
00:11:21.740 She was interviewed, of course, in relation to her movie, Another Simple Favor.
00:11:27.020 Of course, everyone had big expectations for this interview that she was going to answer some questions about this ridiculous lawsuit. 1.00
00:11:34.860 And Seth Meyers asked her, and he said, you know, I understand you can't talk about this because you're in the middle of this legal drama, so you're not allowed to say much from your attorneys.
00:11:46.600 But she said, you know, I can say a few things, and I'm going to say this.
00:11:51.000 It's that this year has been full of the highest highs and the lowest lows of my life.
00:11:56.220 And I see so many women around afraid to speak, especially right now, afraid to share their experiences.
00:12:01.780 And fear is by design.
00:12:03.260 It's what keeps us silent.
00:12:04.860 But I also acknowledge that many people don't have the opportunity to speak.
00:12:08.680 So I do feel fortunate that I've been able to.
00:12:10.640 And it's the women who have had the ability to use their voice that's kept me strong and, you know, helped me in my belief and my fight for the world to be safer for women and girls.
00:12:20.480 It's a pretty simple thing.
00:12:22.020 But, you know, nothing.
00:12:23.620 Thank you.
00:12:24.680 It's true.
00:12:25.920 Yes, Blake Lively is fighting to make the world a safer place for all women and girls.
00:12:33.980 And she's so lucky to have a voice.
00:12:36.100 So, of course, the comment section of this interview caught fire and everyone was like, she's not speaking for me.
00:12:42.800 She's not speaking for all women.
00:12:44.620 And now that we know all the things that she's accused just enough, which is basically saying that her onesie was sexy, saying that a beanie was sexy and that a kiss lingered too long.
00:12:55.740 But I think she actually took that back.
00:12:58.260 She also took back the culture of hugging on set.
00:13:01.700 Those are the only things she's mentioning in the lawsuit.
00:13:04.080 And, of course, that he came into her trailer when she was breastfeeding.
00:13:07.620 They forgot to mention that she sent him a text first saying, please just come to my trailer.
00:13:12.480 I'm just pumping.
00:13:13.620 And her message to all the girls were, of course, also that you can just take over the entire project from this person who says that your beanie is sexy.
00:13:21.580 And then you can sue them for $161 million afterwards.
00:13:25.360 So, of course, Seth Meyers also got a lot of backlash for inviting her onto his show and for giving her a voice.
00:13:34.300 So he chickened out and he also made a joke about this a few days later.
00:13:39.460 Murray is our show's head electrician and he works in front of a big old circuit board.
00:13:43.180 He came to my office the other day.
00:13:44.520 He goes, oh, boss, I done messed up.
00:13:46.360 And I go, what happened?
00:13:47.080 He goes, I got my coffee on the circuit board and then a little rat ran across and I went to move my coffee and I knocked it over.
00:13:55.900 When I knocked it over, I hit the switch.
00:13:57.880 And I said, well, why did it even turn off?
00:13:59.760 And he said, the comment section on the Blake Lively interview.
00:14:02.740 Yeah, so he tried to just make a joke about it and hoping that people would forget.
00:14:11.020 And I just checked and the comment section is still closed off on that interview.
00:14:14.480 And Blake Lively hasn't been invited to any other talk shows ever since.
00:14:18.340 Also, a little side note, something that happened in May was that Travis Kelsey, Taylor Swift's fiancee, unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram.
00:14:28.040 And it was a big deal and everyone was writing about it and no comments from anyone.
00:14:32.120 And then, of course, later in May, I'm not going to talk about the legal stuff here because I wanted to only make this about Blake Lively's own appearances, own actions and own words that gave her backlash in 2025.
00:14:45.760 But we have to kind of mention this story that dropped about her trying to pressure Taylor Swift into supporting her publicly and what really happened there.
00:14:55.120 Because Taylor Swift was obviously dragged into this lawsuit by Blake Lively herself and Taylor Swift's dad didn't really like that.
00:15:02.600 So the story broke everywhere that it was Taylor Swift's dad who had leaked this to Brian Friedman and that they made a deal that if this could become public knowledge, Brian Friedman would not subpoena Taylor Swift.
00:15:18.720 And so they withdrew the subpoena on Taylor Swift's.
00:15:22.740 We are still waiting to see Taylor Swift's text messages because, as you know, the judge has ruled that those text messages are not protected, even though Blake Lively really wanted them to be.
00:15:34.360 Judge Lyman said, no, those text messages are not off limits and they will probably tell us a lot.
00:15:40.280 Then Blake Lively, of course, did a lot of stories on her Instagram and a lot of reels.
00:15:45.760 I'm not going to mention all of those because every time she posts something, people have opinions about them.
00:15:50.760 And every time people use it against her, like they recently did when she was just wearing this little towel doing her hair.
00:15:57.700 And then she complained about people walking into her trailer when she wasn't properly dressed.
00:16:03.120 Everything that she does gets scrutinized, but she keeps doing it.
00:16:07.420 I think it's so fascinating.
00:16:09.140 Why don't you just like lay low for a while?
00:16:13.560 Not happening.
00:16:14.700 In September, Blake was invited to talk about her successful hair brand, Blake Brown in New York City.
00:16:23.240 She was on a panel.
00:16:24.560 She was interviewed on stage to talk about her hair care line, which is so successful that it was a disaster.
00:16:32.880 Apparently, according to her and her lawsuits, which doesn't make much sense.
00:16:36.660 Anyways, in front of this building in New York, when she arrives, there were like five fans waiting outside.
00:16:43.000 People were talking about how these fans were probably paid to be there.
00:16:47.820 And there was one video in particular where a person was taking a selfie, pointing it the wrong direction,
00:16:54.660 which some people said you can't take selfies like that.
00:16:57.140 But I thought it was a little weird too.
00:16:58.920 But I don't know.
00:16:59.900 Then another PR stunt from Blake Vivalier before Thanksgiving, she wanted to tell us that she's just like you and me.
00:17:08.180 She also goes to Trader Joe's and she also does her own shopping and she also dresses down.
00:17:15.740 And yes.
00:17:16.760 And everyone was like, no, we don't buy it.
00:17:19.820 And why do you only have two bags of food if you have four children?
00:17:23.060 When Magnus and I shop for ourselves, we are just two people.
00:17:25.960 We have like six bags of food and you only have two.
00:17:29.720 Anyways, these are the biggest moments that I can come up with.
00:17:32.760 And I got some help from you guys.
00:17:34.740 Thank you so much for responding to my community post, helping me out, making this list.
00:17:41.120 But anyways, there was a story today actually in the Daily Mail as well about Blake Vivalier and Taylor Swift.
00:17:48.160 This journalist is saying that my bombshell prediction is that Taylor Swift, who wants no part in the drama,
00:17:53.520 is going to be an absolutely pivotal figure in the trial.
00:17:57.600 I think so too.
00:17:58.940 I understand that the nature of the text messages which she exchanged with Vivalier,
00:18:03.500 who at the time was her best friend, are crucial in the case.
00:18:07.760 Of course, because you do share things with your BFF.
00:18:12.440 And I think if she didn't share anything with her BFF about being so traumatized on this set, that also says a lot.
00:18:20.360 So no matter what those text messages says, it's a lose-lose for Blake Vivalier.
00:18:25.680 And who can forget the note from the judge in regards to those Taylor Swift text messages.
00:18:30.400 He said, given that Lively has represented that Swift had knowledge of complaints or discussions about the working environment on the film,
00:18:41.960 among other issues, the requests for messages with Swift regarding the film and this action
00:18:48.360 are reasonably tailored to discover information that would prove or disprove Lively's harassment and retaliation claims.
00:18:58.700 Yeah, I just wanted to add at the end here, I read this really funny Reddit post the other day.
00:19:03.960 I couldn't find it now, but I remember what it said.
00:19:06.780 And it was quite interesting.
00:19:08.300 It was, of course, a joke.
00:19:09.740 But the person said that I started supporting Justin Baldoni in this case,
00:19:15.080 but now I'm on Team Blake Lively because she's opening up so many doors for people.
00:19:19.700 So if you don't like your boss, you could just report him and say that he's being inappropriate to you
00:19:26.180 and he's hurting your feelings.
00:19:28.420 And then you can put so much pressure on the board that they will have to put him in the basement of his own company
