00:00:24.740 Amazing!

00:00:26.480 Have it all with Hulu on Disney+.

00:00:30.000 and do we know if they really made it together those are the things that we don't really know

00:00:34.400 or if he was saying you know if we don't do this i'm not going to promote the movie

00:00:38.320 hi and welcome to blossom talk i'm tashley floor journalist hollywood truth teller

00:00:46.960 and your voice of reason in a town built on the illusion and i have another voice of reason with

00:00:52.420 me here today magnus is back what's happening with timothy chalamet he has been all over the

00:00:59.920 news lately is he really cancelled and can we draw parallels between timothy shalamet's messed

00:01:07.920 up press tour with blake lively and it ends with us and also let's talk about the norwegian crown

00:01:15.660 princess i've been asked a lot about this there is so much scandal in the royal family in norway

00:01:21.660 it's outrageous so yes magnus where do we start where do we start yes timothy shalamet you've

00:01:28.920 done some research now and have some opinions about what what really happened you mean what

00:01:33.140 went wrong yes as you know he was snubbed from the oscar or snubbed in some people's eyes some

00:01:39.280 people think he didn't deserve it so what really happened i think it was just a clear case of

00:01:44.020 overexposure i mean he was he was everywhere all the time it felt like and i think that interview

00:01:49.760 he did where he sort of bashed ballet and what else was it oh yeah opera didn't help for sure

00:01:57.000 even though that might have been a bit overblown.

00:01:59.420 Yeah, a classic case of too much.

00:02:01.360 And of course, what he said about opera and ballet had a big backlash on him.

00:02:05.400 But I don't think that was such a serious thing that, you know,

00:02:08.300 should affect you in such a big way of saying something like that.

00:02:12.140 He didn't say anything to hurt people.

00:02:14.760 But I think that people started getting a little bit tired of his big ego

00:02:19.880 because it seems like he has too much confidence.

00:02:22.540 Well, I spoke to an awards consultant before the Oscars

00:02:25.360 and that awards consultant wasn't on his team and that person was very happy about that interview

00:02:31.760 because obviously you know it's a dirty game so when they find something they can use that is

00:02:37.960 negative they will and they will never admit it but obviously i mean that's that's what you do

00:02:43.520 yeah the campaigning for oscars or all awards are really dirty i mean we've seen it up close and

00:02:50.360 personal but do you think that what happened to blake lively after it ends with us and all the

00:02:56.160 backlash that she received for being tone deaf and for making the entire community of real victims

00:03:05.080 really upset with her can we draw a parallel here did timothy chalamet do something similar

00:03:11.660 did he upset enough people so that um people started hating on him online i think it's two

00:03:18.740 completely separate things uh i think that you know blake livey wasn't overexposed you know she

00:03:24.640 was involved in a campaign that was completely tone deaf it was a serious topic that you know

00:03:30.100 they they try to sort of make light of they were afraid that the serious topic would throw off

00:03:35.300 moviegoers yeah and so they decided to go with the floral arrangements and well she's blaming

00:03:43.240 that tone-deaf promotion on Sony or Wayfair parties.

00:03:48.500 Well, it seems like it was basically her ideas

00:03:51.340 and Ryan Reynolds was behind a lot of it.

00:03:53.620 With Timothee Chalamet, it was also his ideas, wasn't it?

00:03:56.860 Yeah, he was part of it, yeah, for sure.

00:03:58.700 But it was also A24, the studio behind it.

00:04:01.600 So they sort of made the campaign together.

00:04:04.380 And I guess in the beginning, it really worked.

00:04:06.200 Look at what you're doing with the marketing.

00:04:07.900 You're disrupting things.

00:04:09.260 You're ahead of...

00:04:10.460 You're going and smash cutting into new ideas.

00:04:13.740 And before anyone can go, wait, you're on to the next, doing fashion ads.

00:04:18.280 You're using smaller media.

00:04:20.500 And you're not exclusive to Friday night when I buy the ticket to go to the theater.

00:04:25.900 It's the only time I can spend time with Timothee Chalamet.

00:04:28.400 That's new.

00:04:29.360 And you're doing it at a high level.

00:04:30.380 And do we know if they really made it together?

00:04:32.780 Those are the things that we don't really know.

00:04:34.880 Or if he was saying, you know, if we don't do this, I'm not going to promote the movie.

00:04:38.640 could be then he's got a giant ego um but but i think also think that you know he plays

00:04:46.320 a character that no one really likes he's very unlikable that guy and

00:04:51.580 timothy was going to be he was method basically right so in the end we sort of mixed him up with

00:04:58.000 the character he's playing he became that person and he was kind of annoying in yeah in the

00:05:03.080 marketing campaign as well yes because i remember watching that one thing that he posted on his

00:05:08.980 instagram when it looked like he was trying to create it to make it look like some zoom meeting

00:05:13.900 he had to talk about the marketing and then he was in character but i didn't realize that he was in

00:05:20.320 character when i watched that and he was being a bit outrageous and taking control and everyone's

00:05:25.680 like what is this guy talking about here and then as you said then he was in character but people

00:05:32.560 don't realize that and I don't think that's a great strategy to be in character while you're

00:05:38.120 promoting a movie if I go on Jimmy Fallon I want to say Marty Supreme Christmas Day on Marty Supreme

00:05:41.860 Christmas Day Marty Supreme Christmas Day hey Timothy is anything interesting happened to you

00:05:44.960 in your life the last couple of minutes Marty Supreme Christmas Day obviously I mean the movie

00:05:48.640 did did well it did okay um but It Ends With Us was a major box office hit so you can't compare

00:05:55.860 it in that way but uh so obviously the It Ends With Us campaign didn't derail it but it's

00:06:01.620 interesting though that it ends with us did so well at the box office while everyone basically

00:06:07.260 was hating on the main actress it is really interesting to me that so many people still

00:06:13.020 went to see the movie it's probably because it was based on a book that was so popular i think

00:06:18.260 the controversies helped too yeah made people interested yes because you know all pr is good

00:06:23.820 pr i guess and i hadn't you know i we didn't know about the controversy when we went to see the

00:06:29.900 movie because we did see the movie before the premiere of It Ends With Us but now looking back

00:06:36.160 I think definitely that helped people you know people started talking even the people involved

00:06:43.020 didn't really believe in the movie we've seen that from text messages that they didn't actually

00:06:47.340 believe it was going to be a success so yes big surprise they were expecting a bomb remember what

00:06:54.060 the publicist wrote about Justin Baldoni yeah yeah that's true so what's going to happen what

00:06:59.100 what did they write do you remember there's something about his big ego and i can't wait

00:07:03.480 for it to be over and he will come back to earth something like that yes yes yes actually they did

00:07:07.940 not believe in the movie and they didn't say nice things about boldoni either so i mean his own his

00:07:13.300 own team yeah it's terrible but just talking about timothy chalamet being in character i i was

00:07:18.580 watching this an interview with an actress the other day i don't remember who it was but she said

00:07:23.340 have you ever heard about an actress actually being a method and i was like no that's a good

00:07:31.140 point why are only men you know method actors why are not why aren't ever a woman a method actor

00:07:37.960 and i think that's very interesting must have existed at some point i've never heard about it

00:07:42.420 there's no one that's you know famous for being method of women not as famous as dustin hoffman 1.00

00:07:48.140 who stayed up, what was it, three days to play Exhausted in a movie.

00:07:53.180 And it made Laurence Olivier, the actor, say,

00:07:56.060 why don't you just try acting?

00:07:59.640 Yes, I guess you could use some makeup and just look tired.

00:08:02.760 You don't have to, actually.

00:08:04.240 And what you said the other day.

00:08:05.520 It's hard to play a murderer if you're going to be method, by the way.

00:08:07.860 And you said the other day about Liza Minnelli,

00:08:10.780 when she dated, who was it again?

00:08:13.200 Which one of them?

00:08:14.000 She dated the guy who dressed up as Hitler.

00:08:16.980 Oh, Peter Sellers.

00:08:17.860 Peter Sellers because he was being he played him in a movie so these things as I said I've never

00:08:26.440 heard a woman you know being the character maybe you will dress up as the character you know like

00:08:31.940 Margot Robbie did for Barbie but you wouldn't like be the personality you wouldn't keep the

00:08:37.580 personality 24 7 yes like I think also we saw a lot with Austin Butler when he was promoting Elvis

00:08:46.000 he started speaking like Elvis

00:08:48.080 the first thing that hit me was

00:08:49.400 it's not just one voice of Elvis

00:08:51.740 his voice changed so much over the years

00:08:54.500 it was really weird

00:08:55.400 remember we met him at this party

00:08:56.720 and he was like

00:08:57.260 hello

00:08:57.820 and I was like wow

00:08:59.660 this is so

00:09:01.180 yeah yeah

00:09:02.100 and he's like yeah

00:09:02.980 and I'm like wow

00:09:04.460 okay you are Elvis Presley

00:09:06.180 and that was like a year after

00:09:07.540 he had finished shooting

00:09:08.420 yes

00:09:08.760 he just couldn't let go

00:09:10.860 yeah he was great in that film

00:09:12.280 by the way

00:09:12.700 he was

00:09:13.140 so the method worked

00:09:14.600 the method worked

00:09:15.980 but yeah what do you think about timothy shalom as future oh he's gonna do well for sure i think

00:09:22.100 he's a fantastic actor yeah you know yeah and we met him when he was like just starting off

00:09:28.440 you know he dated um he dated a daughter of a friend of mine yeah and it was right when he

00:09:34.580 started off and at that time he was speaking how he was not that willing to do a traditional

00:09:40.280 promotion now back then he was willing to do anything to to get ahead isn't that so typical

00:09:45.600 yeah and i think you did a tv interview with him and you came back and you were like

00:09:49.340 that was terrible oh yeah when he when he wasn't on he he he was talked into doing these tv

00:09:55.700 interviews for a movie that you didn't believe in i think and he was just being like a three-year-old

00:10:01.740 really yeah completely not wanting to say anything so we've seen him in different shapes and forms

00:10:09.160 yeah and i think when you're different moods and i think when you are kind of on a high horse like

00:10:14.140 he i feel like he is and then he's sitting on a high horse sitting on a high horse and you're

00:10:17.880 dating uh a kardashian that doesn't really go well if you if that's the image that you want

00:10:24.120 to have i think that was off-putting for i think people are yes she doesn't i mean you mean you

00:10:29.560 mean because he wants to be a serious actor yeah and kardashians aren't serious yeah is that what

00:10:34.660 you're saying that's basically what i'm saying he's dating a reality star i guess you know

00:10:39.540 that doesn't look some people don't like that and it's all about creating this you know image that

00:10:47.180 people fall in love with and a lot of the times as I've spoken about so much here on my channel

00:10:52.320 that a lot of the times we fall in love with a person that doesn't exist and then you see their

00:10:56.840 true colors and then you're like oh I don't actually like that person and that happens a lot

00:11:04.060 and I think it happens more now because of social media that we can actually see who these people

00:11:08.280 really are and then before when everything was so controlled the only time that we could see their

00:11:13.940 true colors were maybe when they were snapped by a paparazzi and they got annoyed about it or

00:11:20.360 whatever but now there are cameras everywhere and uh yes and they're also taking pictures of

00:11:27.260 themselves everywhere yeah that's all the time so the distance between the celebrity and the public

00:11:32.760 is not as great anymore the magic is gone the mystery is unless you're leo unless you're leo

00:11:39.320 who stays away he knows what to do and i think that's also why of course he's an amazing actor

00:11:44.640 but that's also why he stayed relevant and also why he's getting away with dating all these young

00:11:51.020 models all the time he doesn't get a lot of flack for that well we've seen it for 20 years so maybe

00:11:57.420 it's not that you know no it's not new no exactly you can have that debate you know 12 months a year

00:12:02.540 yeah but he's like you know he said it so many times like you know i'm i'm not that interesting

00:12:09.700 i don't want people to know a lot about me so he does he comes out he promotes whatever he's doing

00:12:14.480 and then he disappears maybe there's a paparazzi shot of him on a yacht somewhere with the caps on

00:12:19.460 but that's it i'm i'll promise you that's what's going to happen with timothy chalamet now

00:12:24.400 he's going to go away for a bit yeah i read somewhere that he has actually reached out to

00:12:28.940 leo to ask for advice so oh really yes i don't know if it's true but i mean then i'll foresee

00:12:36.240 a summer of the yachting in the mediterranean or something like that isn't that what leo does

00:12:41.840 definitely okay we have to talk about the crown princess of norway oh your home oh there's so

00:12:48.580 more scandals and people have asked me about this and i'm like are people out there interested in

00:12:52.980 the Norwegian royal family well now it's so speaking of being overexposed oh my gosh yes

00:12:59.140 she gave an interview today right she gave an interview today so a little background here the

00:13:03.180 crown princess of Norway showed up a thousand times in the e-files we're gonna call him Jeff

00:13:09.360 because I can't say his name on YouTube because they don't like his name here and also her son

00:13:15.280 which she already had when she married the crown prince of Norway.

00:13:20.780 Marius has been in court now for three weeks and he is waiting for...

00:13:26.600 He's on trial.

00:13:27.360 He's on trial, yes, but they're finished.

00:13:29.580 So now he's just waiting for his conviction.

00:13:32.680 He's been charged with four counts of the R word,

00:13:37.020 which I can't even say here on my channel either.

00:13:40.080 And some really others and a lot of other serious stuff.

00:13:43.800 and he could get up to seven years in prison which doesn't seem like a lot in we are in america

00:13:51.040 and you get a lot of it's a lot harsher here um but he could get up to seven years more than that

00:13:57.000 i think even seven seven and a half so yeah something like that so we're waiting for that

00:14:01.120 and at the same time the crown prince's name showed up in the e-files about seven weeks ago

00:14:07.860 and she just went quiet and now her first interview was released and I don't know what

00:14:18.020 are they saying over in Sweden about the royal family of Norway her believability is not you

00:14:24.280 know I don't think a lot of people really thought that was very honest no to be honest with you and

00:14:29.940 what could she have said okay so in the emails she sent to Mr. E or Jeff she said that first of all

00:14:38.520 she said I've googled you and it doesn't look good and then she put a smiley afterwards and

00:14:45.400 now she was asked about that in the interview and she said I don't remember what I found when I

00:14:49.740 googled him I don't know how many people she googles but if I'd googled I might have forgotten

00:14:56.620 that I googled someone but if I was reminded of it that I looked into a friend yeah and it didn't

00:15:01.820 look good then you would remember I would remember what that was she said in that interview she said

00:15:07.240 uh well I've been wondering what I meant about that too I've been wondering about that as much

00:15:13.100 as you've been wondering about that and I can't recall because it's 15 years ago uh not a great

00:15:20.000 answer what was not good of course she found out something and that is I think that is the most

00:15:26.380 you know that's the most harmful email and she also went to his estate she stayed there 0.97

00:15:32.540 in florida in florida and she had a lot of emails back and forth with him she also

00:15:40.560 trashed a royal wedding that she went to in an email to him telling him oh it's so boring here

00:15:47.180 everyone's about to die anyway uh these kind of you know well one more thing she brought 1.00

00:15:53.580 according to texts she brought her kids to meet him oh wow it doesn't look good and everyone was

00:16:00.100 like did the crown prince know about this that she was friends with this guy and she went by herself

00:16:05.740 to stay at his his estate and now they showed up together at this for this interview and it was

00:16:13.680 kind of a you know they were sent the questions beforehand so i was like okay is this really

00:16:21.460 you know are we going to get the answers that we're actually looking for here which I think

00:16:26.420 we didn't get well yeah they were sent the questions beforehand and they still couldn't

00:16:30.520 provide satisfactory answers I think yeah and I think a lot of people agrees with that according

00:16:36.740 to the polls yeah so and yes because the polls now in Norway says that over 50 percent of the

00:16:43.900 population don't want her to become the next queen which is very serious and of course it doesn't help 1.00

00:16:50.440 that her her son is most likely i think 99 sure is going to prison uh so what kind of royal

00:16:58.380 family is that going to be there was one more thing though she said she saw something

00:17:03.480 yes you know more about that yes she saw something she said that she saw something disturbing she

00:17:11.340 wrote this in how do we know about this by the way she said that in the interview okay so she

00:17:15.880 said in the interview that she saw something disturbing disturbing happening when she was

00:17:20.400 visiting in florida in florida she said i called hawk on which is her husband the crown prince

00:17:26.440 who's going to be king of norway to complain about this or to tell him about it and then she said in

00:17:31.600 the same sentence she was like uh but i still decided to keep in touch with him so she's she

00:17:38.500 was still in touch with him after she had this disturbing experience with him she also said that

00:17:44.580 she felt very manipulated by him but i gotta come back to the interview now because she was asked

00:17:49.240 about this this incident right and then she said i don't want to say what it was yeah like yeah she

00:17:57.480 didn't want to admit what that incident was i don't want to talk about that she said and the

00:18:02.120 thing is when you are royal it's our tax money that's paying for your life and your lifestyle

00:18:08.720 so the public deserves to know and she said yes and she said i don't want to talk about it it's

00:18:16.760 like you have to talk about it because you owe the public you owe the country of norway

00:18:21.080 and everyone who lives in norway you owe it to them to tell the truth and of course i think the

00:18:27.980 truth is so much more harmful that she is just trying to hide it and as we know all the files

00:18:34.180 have not been released yet so they could be even more there um so what are they saying over in

00:18:41.120 sweden well they're saying what we are saying basically i think i think that's the common

00:18:46.120 sort of opinion now it's that it wasn't satisfactory and i don't think she i don't

00:18:52.180 think she's going to be sort of let off the hook no but you know she's also saying she's sick and

00:18:57.420 you can talk about that yeah so she has this uh lung disease which makes her very weak and i think 1.00

00:19:04.900 for her right now she's using that of course to say you know i can't be part of anything

00:19:09.700 and since this happened the crown prince of norway he went to the olympics by himself he's been doing

00:19:16.180 all you know state related um work things that they do as royals he's been doing everything by

00:19:22.900 himself not with her so i think of course everyone is speculating about their marriage

00:19:29.500 is it going to last how much did he know about her you know the way she was kind of flirtatious 0.97

00:19:36.320 with him with mr e as well yeah he did say something about paris right do you remember

00:19:41.680 that yes oh yeah she said he said he was going to paris right yes and she said people go to paris

00:19:48.100 to have affairs or to cheat and people go to scandinavia to find a wife basically what she 0.99

00:19:56.140 said and she was asked about that that's a little flirty right yes and yeah and then she was asked

00:20:01.780 about that as well in this interview and she said oh i you know it was just a joke amongst friends

00:20:07.620 and you know that's how we speak to friends and of course it's not been easy for me that everyone

00:20:11.980 can read my personal emails blah blah blah and she said that oh i wish i could know the answer

00:20:17.280 to this uh to see the whole thread of these emails and i was thinking you must have these emails

00:20:23.640 unless you deleted them and if you deleted them there's a reason for you to delete these emails

00:20:29.580 so the thing is like you were saying you know it's risky for her to come out now and defend herself

00:20:37.160 because more stuff could come out and she doesn't know if more stuff will come out so the best

00:20:44.100 answer then is i don't remember because then she can't no one can say that she lied yeah so i guess

00:20:48.780 maybe she is expecting more to come it's very messy and i think for the norwegian people i think

00:20:54.960 we always felt like we had some kind of moral ground you know that norway it's it's known for

00:21:02.220 transparency and we've been proud to say that our government is not really corrupt like we've seen

00:21:09.620 in other governments you know so i think this is really the e-files really changed that yes and of

00:21:15.960 course there's always also been politicians in norway that are now under investigation because

00:21:20.560 of this uh so i think it's it's been like a real wake-up call uh for people not to be so naive

00:21:27.300 that you know this could happen anywhere with anyone and it's so disappointing but the grand

00:21:34.820 princess does have her plate full right now right she is sick she's got the sun yeah she's got the 1.00

00:21:39.340 e-files yeah i i like and one thing i was i watched the i watched the interview and what

00:21:45.500 was interesting was that they sat together right the crown the crown prince and crown princess

00:21:50.220 but they sort of said that they were on different sides of the chairs basically they were snow and

00:21:56.400 he never touched her she never touched him and and i think that kind of says a lot it would be

00:22:00.660 like you sitting yeah you know like yeah like that i feel like what's been going on in their

00:22:08.300 household it's like there's been a lot of yelling at each other especially him yelling at her

00:22:14.620 because although he said that he also met mr e a few times uh but that was kind of by coincidence

00:22:23.640 they just run into him somewhere uh but that was interesting too because you know he has said that

00:22:30.240 they met Mr. E on the street in Turks and Caicos yeah or in some parts I think yeah sorry yeah

00:22:39.140 that they just run into him yeah but then there are emails where they make plans together in

00:22:44.020 some parts so there are a lot of discrepancies here yeah I don't think we've heard the last of

00:22:49.080 it but was the crown prince involved in also making plans with him apparently yeah I didn't

00:22:55.680 know that because i read the word they but i could be i could be wrong yeah because i haven't heard

00:23:01.480 that but anyways there's a lot to talk about when it comes to the norwegian royal family

00:23:05.980 and there's also more scandals because the sister who used to be a princess of the crown prince

00:23:12.900 married a shaman from la who's only been with men before she married him last year it was a huge

00:23:21.140 wedding and they made a netflix documentary about it there's been so many scandals and now she lost 0.99

00:23:27.640 her princess title but she's still using it to promote stuff it is a big mess and now people

00:23:34.040 are like do we want to have a royal family or not what do you say i don't think we should have a royal

00:23:39.920 family it's a bit yeah old-fashioned yeah and when these things happens it's like no they're supposed

00:23:47.340 to be representatives for the country and that's not that's not a good look but i heard it costs

00:23:53.180 less the norwegian royal family they cost less for the taxpayers than the national theater

00:23:58.940 so now i'm thinking who gives what do you get most entertainment from now the royal family probably

00:24:08.000 per dime yeah it's really serious allegations though so i shouldn't be laughing about this

00:24:15.540 but it's just like one thing after the other.

00:24:19.580 Anyways, that's it for us, Magnus, today.
