Gaines for Girls with Riley Gaines - The Olympics Have Gone Full Woke

00:00:00.000 welcome back to the gains for girls podcast uh make sure if you are not already following make

00:00:12.560 sure you check us out at outkick.com anywhere else where you get your podcasts make sure you

00:00:16.940 like and subscribe and comment we appreciate all the love and the reviews we have seen uh of course

00:00:24.460 the olympics is going on um if you weren't already not watching because of the blasphemous display

00:00:32.060 of drag queens and the last supper at the opening ceremony if that wasn't enough for you

00:00:39.080 and if it wasn't enough for you to then see a convicted pedophile a person who raped a 12 year 0.62

00:00:46.220 old child being allowed to play in beach volleyball if that still didn't do it for you and then you 0.98

00:00:53.220 saw women get into the ring in boxing uh get into this ring and then we're punched in the face 1.00

00:01:02.600 by men and i say men not a man i mean men because there are multiple multiple men with x y chromosomes

00:01:11.340 allowed to get into the ring with an arena of people around them cheering them on as they punch

00:01:17.280 women in the face with the intent of knocking them out i think we used to call that domestic violence 0.99

00:01:24.200 i must have missed when the olympics added domestic violence as a sport but that is apparently what

00:01:28.900 they have done uh here you're on the gains for girls podcast to discuss all things olympics we're

00:01:34.800 going to get into some caitlin clark stuff um we're going to get into harrison butker is none other

00:01:39.240 than dan dackett outkick's own and so thank you dan for joining

00:01:43.500 wild ride in these olympics riley something that as a person like i'm way older than you i remember

00:01:51.700 watching the olympics starting like as a 10 year old in 1972 i would never have imagined what you just

00:01:59.280 described being in the olympics or really anywhere else no no the olympics the highest athletic stage

00:02:06.460 this is what we're seeing and so i i i'm watching this stuff again the the conglomeration of it all

00:02:12.380 not just one specific thing um i'm watching all of this unfold i mean have the olympics i mean have

00:02:19.620 they sealed their fate what is it that we're even that we're even witnessing

00:02:23.680 yeah that was interesting you mentioned the opening and you know i'm a catholic i went to catholic

00:02:31.620 grade school catholic high school i go to catholic church and i'm i don't give a damn whether 0.68

00:02:36.220 anybody likes it or not and but don't don't tell me i'm a fool like i know what i saw and i know what

00:02:42.760 they were trying to portray and then they try to tell us well it's a feast of dionysus blah blah blah

00:02:47.140 look i get it i get it but they apologized for it and for offending christians and you know i don't

00:02:55.320 get offended by much i i don't and you've been through enough stuff now where i'm sure you don't

00:03:00.600 get offended i didn't get offended i just thought to myself what the hell are you doing 0.57

00:03:03.960 like why i mean i i get it you're trying to celebrate the history of trying to do something

00:03:09.060 unique but we know what we saw and you don't lie to us you know it's like i always use the use this

00:03:16.380 analogy and i'm sorry i don't mean to offend anybody but a friend of mine gave this to me 100

00:03:22.060 years it's like a guy gets caught in bed with another woman by his wife and he says no i'm not

00:03:28.320 doing anything you're gonna believe me are you gonna believe what your eyes see and and that's

00:03:32.720 that's kind of what this is right it's like well are you gonna believe what your eyes see are you

00:03:38.060 gonna believe what we're telling you that astounded me riley like if you're gonna go and do that just

00:03:44.140 own it and be it but the wokeness the the attack they would never do that to islam they would never 0.52

00:03:50.880 even mess around with any orthodox type face faith but for some reason christianity is under attack 0.97

00:03:57.420 and i just think it's garbage and don't tell me that it wasn't because i know what i saw 0.90

00:04:01.120 no doubt about that yeah i think i mean how you're mentioning you know don't tell me that it wasn't 0.75

00:04:07.040 that's what we see across the board we see corporations and we see organizations and other

00:04:12.820 entities and the media we see them run to the defense of what the the uh olympic committee did

00:04:19.280 whether it was the drag queen display or whether it was again the boxers i have seen so many

00:04:26.680 people and again the media specifically uh they say yeah well the passport says woman or they'll say

00:04:34.480 yeah this is just a cisgender woman with elevated levels of testosterone or i've seen uh so many 0.85

00:04:41.500 people say yeah you know they might have a y chromosome but they're still a woman which i'm like 0.83

00:04:47.120 are you hearing the words that are coming out of your mouth and so i mean i can't understand why

00:04:53.260 why is it that so many people uh again groups the media why are they getting behind iman khalif i mean

00:05:00.520 did you watch his most recent fight i did the entire crowd the entire arena they roared and they cheered

00:05:06.820 when uh the male boxer actually was the boxer from taiwan when he walked out but there were audible

00:05:13.520 boos in the in the arena when the female boxer from hungary walked out and so i mean why is that dan

00:05:22.060 i wish i had an answer i i the only thing that i could say is i go back to your experience i go back

00:05:31.920 to your experience when leah thomas was in the locker room and finished fifth with you but they

00:05:37.620 wanted to give him the trophy so it looks a certain way i think people want to look a certain way i think

00:05:44.340 people want to act like they are so woke so down whatever the right word is i don't even know the right

00:05:49.220 words anymore that this is what they do here's my issue with all this rather again i've been watching

00:05:55.740 this forever and back in the 70s the eastern bloc nations the east germans rather they brought women 0.98

00:06:02.580 over there that had beard swimming i mean it was crazy and you know what happened the united states

00:06:09.640 and i'm sorry the international olympic committee put in the most stringent testing gender testing drug

00:06:17.440 testing of anything ever when i played basketball in indiana we didn't have drug testing until

00:06:24.480 after and i got into coaching in the 90s and everybody would compare it to the olympic well this

00:06:31.220 isn't like the olympic drug test now we're not or the gender you know and but now what what why are

00:06:37.720 they allowing this the international boxing association said no in 2023 you can't box you're got x y

00:06:46.420 chromosomes and in fact i saw the other day they said the testosterone levels were too high well i i hope

00:06:53.600 i'm making my point the olympics were always more stringent than everything else like everything else

00:07:02.600 riley and it wasn't even close the olympics were like the the model and well i can't i had a couple

00:07:10.640 friends that went to the olympics steve alford 1984 played on one i can't eat anything i can't you know

00:07:17.520 everything we have has to be perfect well now we're letting x y chromosomes in and now we're letting

00:07:23.220 somebody who has been banned not not a year ago from a competition and that that organization has

00:07:30.920 higher standards in the olympics so to answer your question the only thing that i can make of it

00:07:37.080 usually with the ncaa i say they don't want to get sued and by the way i hope your lawsuit's going 0.99

00:07:41.960 great and i hope you kick their ass and second off i think everybody just wants to pretend that 0.98

00:07:48.940 they're something they're woke or they're they're cool i i don't get it like if you were a sports fan 1.00

00:07:56.100 a women's sports fan and a guy with an x y girl whatever you want to call it whatever with an x y

00:08:02.300 chromosome came out there i got a root for the woman period like there's nothing there's no in 0.99

00:08:08.880 between i swear to god i i think people have just totally lost their identity and i don't have an

00:08:15.980 answer for why other than to think people are just nuts these days and trying to be something

00:08:20.540 that no one would ever imagine themselves to be five or ten years ago not that long ago people

00:08:26.220 wouldn't have cheered for a x y chromosome in the olympics they'd have been appalled no no

00:08:32.000 but yeah now to your point rather than uh admitting that it is an x y uh karyotype that

00:08:39.080 makes a male you've got thomas bach who is the president of the ioc who said in a press conference

00:08:43.700 we're going to look at the passport uh the birth certificate which can easily be falsified we we

00:08:49.920 see that here all the time in the u.s and you mentioned these these um sex verification tests that

00:08:56.520 the olympics used to do they used to it's a simple cheek swab that's all it is and so um i mean should

00:09:02.780 the olympics go back to this i i saw a recent poll that said over 80 percent over 80 percent of female

00:09:09.400 athletes are actually um in support of a cheek swab test because back in 2016 a lot of people don't even

00:09:17.480 know this dan but back in 2016 in the women's 800 meter uh the top three finishers all had a y

00:09:25.280 chromosome in the women's 800 which now world athletics which is the governing body of of track 0.92

00:09:32.560 and field events um the international governing body they've now banned this banned athletes with

00:09:38.080 a dsd which i believe is the case of amon khalif and um lin yuting here's what we do know so far

00:09:44.880 there was a a press conference yesterday uh in paris by the iba uh this i wrote some notes down

00:09:52.300 redux which is which is a group uh they've done some really awesome reporting but what we do know

00:09:56.820 is that both boxers were initially subjected to a chromosomal test by an independent laboratory

00:10:03.040 in instambul after the iba received complaints from coaches and competitors during the 2022

00:10:09.400 women's world boxing championships both boxers were then retested after 0.89

00:10:14.760 failing the first time in 2022 they were retested again in india during the 2023 women's world boxing

00:10:21.840 championship to clarify and confirm the prior results again the test came back uh these athletes

00:10:27.940 failed the gender eligibility requirements which is merely to have two x chromosomes the boxers were 1.00

00:10:34.020 then informed of the results of the test in riding both boxers were given the opportunity to appeal the

00:10:40.220 findings to the court of arbitration for sport the iba even offered to pay i found this interesting he

00:10:46.240 said in the press conference yesterday that the iba even offered to pay for the majority of the costs

00:10:50.960 to allow both of these boxers to appeal but the the boxer lin yuting from taiwan did not even appeal

00:10:57.420 the decision and amon khalif initially appealed the decision but then withdrew the appeal and so what

00:11:03.540 i'm thinking seeing this seeing that both of these male boxers didn't even appeal or amon did but then

00:11:10.100 quickly withdrawing they could clear all of this up very quick again there's lots of misinformation

00:11:16.200 being pushed these are actually women they could clear all of this up by doing a simple quick cheek 1.00

00:11:22.560 swab what do you think well i don't think it's going to happen and i always wonder this because i

00:11:29.300 riley i always think there's a backstory so i i read about that appeal and i read about

00:11:34.020 how they both were offered we'll pay for the appeal you go ahead and do it let's see what happens

00:11:39.100 i wonder if and i always think this i wonder if they said you know what okay we're going to lose the

00:11:45.460 appeal but the olympics is going to take us and we'll make it up there like and again i go back to what

00:11:51.520 i said earlier going back to the 70s and i think early 80s the the nation was outraged

00:11:59.080 that you know guys girls were cheating so bad with testosterone and chromosomes and all that

00:12:06.480 hormone whatever the hell it was and people were outraged they demanded the olympics do something 0.65

00:12:12.100 different now the olympics again just my opinion i don't have anything to base this on other than

00:12:18.460 paying attention it seems like to me the olympics are giving in whereas i've always said this riley if

00:12:24.900 you raise the bar for people they will reach it if you lower the bar for people they will reach it

00:12:30.660 and i feel like in this instance these two boxers said all right it's not worth that we're going to

00:12:35.540 lose but we know we can get in the olympics because everything doesn't as you know everything doesn't

00:12:41.620 happen in a vacuum they have representatives they have coach who are probably talking to olympic people

00:12:46.480 but again it it you got a cheap cheek swab test very simple you do it you use it you say i'm sorry

00:12:56.900 you can't compete or here's the results you can't compete but here's even farther riley i swear to god

00:13:03.780 and this is again just me doesn't have to be you i don't trust anybody to tell me the results if

00:13:08.840 they're negative like i don't trust anybody because people might feel that there's some type of backlash

00:13:14.340 we have to push this agenda we have to be a part of the woke stilly uh illegal unfair agenda 0.79

00:13:23.560 or else i don't know what's going to happen nothing really but people are afraid of the the the

00:13:29.380 unknown i i swear to god i am so distrusting of this organization the olympic organization now

00:13:35.040 they can give a cheek swab and you better get like five different independent organizations to give us

00:13:40.380 the results because frankly what i've seen the difference from when they decided to put all

00:13:45.080 tough stuff into now is absurd just absurd isn't it sad uh that you can't trust the ioc in the same 0.77

00:13:54.140 way that we can't trust in the same way that we can't trust the secret service in the same way that

00:14:00.060 we can't trust our government it's really tragic actually that we even have to question these things

00:14:05.600 but all again um riley if i may if i may here this is this is my answer all right i have an answer

00:14:13.640 everybody says well you're complaining give me an answer i'll give you my answer leah thomas leah thomas

00:14:18.860 is a dude transitioning to a woman go compete against the men there's a softball player at yale

00:14:26.820 who was a woman transitioning to a man she was playing on the yale softball team so why is a woman 0.92

00:14:35.500 transitioning to a man transitioning to a woman both competing against women i say this you want

00:14:44.600 to be inclusive i want to be inclusive if you're transitioning everybody go play against the men

00:14:51.200 woman to man play against the men man to woman play against the men it's inclusive it gives everybody 0.99

00:14:58.460 the opportunity they're going to get their ass whooped just like leah thomas got his ass whooped 1.00

00:15:03.480 competing against the men but to me because there's there riley riley there's nothing set in stone that 0.99

00:15:11.740 says that everybody transitioning gets to compete against women it's just kind of what it is you see

00:15:19.020 what i'm saying so why isn't it just what it is for all these people we want you we need you go get

00:15:24.900 them go compete against the men that would solve everything my opinion you're making way too much sense

00:15:31.280 that that's way too logical it would never work um but really that's that's uh it's again it's the

00:15:39.860 women's category that has become the catch-all here yes yes we're seeing this on the international

00:15:47.580 stage we're seeing it at the olympics but what we saw last week the same day that that first fight with

00:15:54.260 with amman khalif took place the same day uh here in the u.s the biden harris administration they

00:16:00.580 illegally administratively rewrote title nine and it went into effect on august 1st which is i mean

00:16:06.920 detrimental it abolishes title nine and that's what the democrats that's what kamala harris that's what 0.89

00:16:13.800 her new vp pick don't even get me started on him what he's done in the state of minnesota

00:16:18.220 that's what they support uh one thing i do want to ask you about because i found it so

00:16:23.880 interesting really um we we know media bias exists right i i mean i've known that high school

00:16:32.920 college right before i was ever heavily involved in this space but i was so shocked damn when i was

00:16:38.980 watching the fight um the most recent fight nbc right they have had their lips locked about the

00:16:47.400 controversy they haven't said a single word about these boxers failing these gender eligibility

00:16:52.080 requirement tests and they won't but what about other outlets like like espn um i mean the only

00:16:58.380 sports outlet i've ever i mean i've seen cover this this topic again the male boxers thoroughly

00:17:05.000 is outkick where is espn

00:17:07.560 i'll tell you exactly where espn espn's holding on to their agenda i'll tell you what else is disgusting 0.65

00:17:15.540 to me and this will always be disgusting to me you have women of espn who i think are complete 1.00

00:17:19.940 frauds uh i've always thought they're complete frauds they got mad at me one time uh one of the 0.85

00:17:25.740 heads a woman named stephanie truly got mad at me one time and she called me out i said i said to a 0.80

00:17:31.920 a woke professor she said i'll go at it in the pool with you i said i'm not going at it in the pool with

00:17:37.920 anybody that isn't my wife and i did kind of turn her words around but i don't care she was 1.00

00:17:42.180 turning them around on me one of the heads of espn called me and told me well you know dan

00:17:47.080 the women of espn are upset and uncomfortable with what you said i said let me tell you something 1.00

00:17:52.220 one of your reporters married with two kids is currently screwing a friend of mine who is married 1.00

00:17:57.600 with two kids i don't want to hear about the women of espn because they're all freaking hypocrites 1.00

00:18:01.560 and then i saw what they did with sage steel and they're all freaking hypocrites and i saw what they 1.00

00:18:07.260 didn't do with sage steel and i saw what they didn't do with you and they're all freaking 0.99

00:18:11.260 hypocrites and i see what goes on in every one of these places that nancy or more whatever the 0.99

00:18:16.500 hell her name is christy brennan has been on this a little bit i suppose but all these women where's 1.00

00:18:22.020 the me too movement where are feminists where is anybody that's standing up for women that has stood

00:18:27.560 up in the past women like my wife my wife had to move because she was kind of a bit of a prodigy they 1.00

00:18:33.800 had to move from ohio to michigan so that they had they didn't have softball in ohio if you can 0.95

00:18:38.560 believe that my wife's not that old they had to move to michigan this is all very recent how women 1.00

00:18:43.180 have fought for title nine and where are all these women where are all these women saying hey look 0.95

00:18:47.860 these are opportunities taken from other women somebody's going to get hurt here where are they 1.00

00:18:51.900 they didn't do it with sage steel when sage steel the only conservative person at espn was being fired

00:18:57.820 i didn't hear a damn thing about you and what happened with you even though you've told your story

00:19:03.140 any woman that has any kind of sense would say hold on hold on you're telling me there's a lot of 0.93

00:19:09.360 elements to your story but i'll tell you what one that i talked about today and yesterday on my show 0.97

00:19:14.380 the idiots in indianapolis saying no we're gonna put leah thomas on this stand because it looks good 1.00

00:19:19.500 that's bullshit excuse my language but i don't hear it gets me really fired up i don't hear any of 1.00

00:19:24.680 these women anytime any place i've said before and i'll say it again my wife said this actually 0.98

00:19:30.980 women don't like to see other women succeed in sports she told me that was going to happen about 1.00

00:19:37.380 caitlin clark she told me why nobody stick up for you she told me nobody uh why nobody stuck up for

00:19:43.560 sage because the women that won't stick up for stage want sage's job and the women that won't stick up 0.99

00:19:49.160 for you don't need another woman out in the forefront leading a cause i'm telling you it is just it you can

00:19:55.500 tell i'm a little fired up about it it just pisses me off to no end sorry

00:20:00.160 um i think i mean on a personal note uh having gotten to know sage steel she is the most genuine

00:20:11.400 authentic selfless intentional person you could ever meet if you knew sage how could anyone i mean you

00:20:22.280 can't you can't say a single bad thing about sage steel uh but they all did of course they did

00:20:28.320 they all did and you know what you know what riley it it isn't that they didn't say anything

00:20:34.200 it isn't that i mean that's bad enough but they talked poorly about her they she started a woman's 1.00

00:20:42.200 of a woman of color i'm gonna have it a name wrong whatever it is uh thing at espn panel they kicked 0.99

00:20:48.220 her off of that one of the guys said she wasn't black enough i mean the level of stupidity there and 1.00

00:20:54.320 it's the same it's the same thing with you i've seen what oberman has said i've well i follow you 0.99

00:20:59.840 on twitter i know exactly where people have come at you and it is just astounding to me it is it's

00:21:07.180 absolutely astounding to me that we're having this conversation in you know 2024 uh because women 1.00

00:21:13.180 used to fight women if you go back and you watch different things and you know about coach hutchins at

00:21:19.600 uh michigan uh oh gosh darn i forget the coach vandiver who was at indiana when i was there coach

00:21:26.440 stevenson who was there all these women fought for all of this stuff and now you had to fight to sit 0.94

00:21:33.400 in a freaking locker room at the ncaa tournament and not have some dude in there getting naked with 1.00

00:21:39.780 his thing out that's going backwards right that's going dead ass backwards and nobody steps up for it 0.99

00:21:49.600 and it's no women will fight for it anymore and it it drives me nuts drives me nuts

00:21:55.320 but yeah sage she's been strong on this issue she's been strong of course during covid uh you

00:22:03.380 mentioned the blm i mean let me tell you i've been called this past week two weeks uh i have been called

00:22:09.640 a white supremacist more than i i've been i mean racist you name it they've labeled me that these past

00:22:16.440 two weeks or so because i put out a tweet the other day um saying that i personally did not believe

00:22:23.880 that lebron james should be the flag bearer for the united states representing the united states

00:22:30.500 at the olympic games at the opening ceremony and i said that because this is a person who has

00:22:35.960 actively knelt for the anthem denouncing our flag what it means to be an american the people who fought

00:22:42.940 for that flag and our freedoms put out a simple you know simple tweet my opinion i don't think he

00:22:48.340 should be the flag bearer oh my gosh i got so much hate people calling me a racist you name it and so

00:22:54.540 i want to get your thoughts on on that i mean there's no doubt he's he's a great athlete right and what

00:23:00.080 he's accomplished there's no doubt about that but i think it's hypocritical to want to hold the flag

00:23:07.000 for your nation i mean really one of the greatest honors it's an honor to be able to do that but a

00:23:13.540 few years ago knelt for that same flag yeah he not only knelt when he first got to la he faked racism

00:23:21.860 he faked spray painting his house uh racist things and of course once people started investigating okay

00:23:28.380 where's the tape you got this elaborate security system you know he he was trying to garner sympathy

00:23:33.520 i'm a little torn on lebron james i know and from an athletic standpoint i think he i admire him

00:23:39.500 because he's gotten everything out of his body he really has 39 years old he's been phenomenal he you

00:23:45.180 know and and there's you know from that and he's leading this olympic team which is kind of cool given

00:23:50.460 the fact that he's playing with guys much younger than him but the other side of it here's what i've

00:23:54.960 learned uh by being in television particularly working with mike tariko there's some great stories

00:24:00.640 that you never know about with athletes there's some unbelievable stories and i guarantee you there

00:24:07.760 are men and women on that united states olympic team who have incredible military background stories

00:24:13.200 who have incredible stories of perseverance of overcoming of being you know truly american now you

00:24:18.600 can say lebron's exercising his right to be truly american by kneeling that's fine 350 million people

00:24:23.940 you got 350 million opinions on that i'm sure but my thing again i go a little bit to the to the

00:24:30.840 leadership of it where is the leadership finding out about some guy who was heroic in the military i

00:24:36.040 don't have the answer but i guarantee you there is one thing i've learned about being in television

00:24:40.060 and interviewing players and coaches and those there are some incredible stories and certainly to

00:24:45.620 make an olympic team they could have found those they could have found those easy as opposed to a guy

00:24:50.880 like lebron james who is so divisive and he's divisive in his comments about white people he's

00:24:56.560 made the comment i don't need any white friends that kind of thing i don't want any white friends

00:25:00.280 blah blah blah blah blah well uh we can do better than that hey he's great on the floor he's great with

00:25:06.160 his teammates he's been a leader he's he's had a lot of pressure since he was literally i've known him

00:25:11.220 since he was ninth grade or known about him since he was in ohio i was recruiting that state as a coach

00:25:16.900 but i gotta tell you uh you could have found better you could have found a lot better and i don't care

00:25:22.200 black white whatever you want to do that's that's you know that's up to whoever makes those decisions

00:25:26.020 but that's my disappointment you know they went with a guy that was easy they went with a guy that

00:25:30.720 maybe would show up on tv that kind of thing but if they're really trying to represent the flag they

00:25:34.980 could have done better than the guy that kneeled i concur uh women's basketball they play in the

00:25:41.680 quarterfinal i believe this week um we're seeing one person uh one notable woman who is missing from

00:25:50.500 that olympic team um it's been great to watch them uh i believe the viewership would be quadrupled

00:25:58.600 if not more honestly if they had lint clark on the olympic basketball team and so i mean were you

00:26:05.360 surprised she wasn't i mean i think with the inclusion of britney griner again i'm not here

00:26:13.300 to take away from what she has accomplished athletically of course an amazing athlete

00:26:17.560 um but but speaking from i mean reality here i think with the inclusion of britney griner the exclusion

00:26:26.160 of caitlin clark you lose a lot of eyes on the women's basketball team 0.78

00:26:30.860 there is no question look you understand this timing is everything like you're you know you want

00:26:41.120 to go to the olympics all right well timing has to work out for your career when you're at your best

00:26:47.520 that kind of thing now think about this so caitlin clark it's a once in a lifetime deal let's be honest

00:26:52.500 that a woman is going to be the most popular basketball player in the world i mean i don't think 1.00

00:26:58.640 it's ever happened right we've had michael jordan you know magic johnson whatever whoever you want

00:27:03.140 to say lebron james whoever you want to say it hit perfectly riley it hit perfectly caitlin clark hit

00:27:10.820 perfectly that her popularity the immense growth on an olympic year in an olympic year excuse me and 1.00

00:27:18.100 they were too stupid to recognize it they were too stupid after years and years and years of saying look 0.99

00:27:23.340 at us we're really good this is a really fun sport grow our game okay you have the most popular woman 1.00

00:27:31.940 in modern basketball worldwide and you don't put her on the olympic team and the reason you don't put 0.57

00:27:40.200 her on the olympic team and again i go back to my wife who told me this was going to happen the old guard

00:27:45.480 27 years angry old and maybe this gets me in trouble but whatever lesbians they're mad at the straight 1.00

00:27:52.960 little white girl they could not stomach it jealousy envy ego and uh pettiness my clay thompson's 0.89

00:28:03.360 dad michael thompson two-time nba champ he comes on my show and he talks about it with these women

00:28:08.680 pure unadulterated jealousy envy ego and pettiness he calls it jeep and that's exactly what it is

00:28:16.780 now what happened later or what happened about a couple days ago is don staley came out one of the

00:28:22.520 old guard angry old lesbians she comes out and she understands now that they don't have any more 1.00

00:28:29.380 cover the media isn't covering for her and them anymore they did early they don't they can't now

00:28:35.180 caitlin's been too good the popularity continues and too many women christine brennan among them have 1.00

00:28:40.960 come out and supported caitlin clark and ripped the olympic committee so now what does she do she comes 0.70

00:28:46.460 out and same thing we're talking about in other areas she tries to bullshit us she tries to tell us 1.00

00:28:52.160 well you know if she'd have been playing but her numbers were better than chelsea gray the other point 1.00

00:29:00.560 guard who did not play a second wasn't was hurt didn't play one game her numbers were better than

00:29:07.860 diana tarasi her numbers other than one and a half points a game were better than kelsey plump 1.00

00:29:14.320 back but when they made so they're lying to us and it sucks because i love women's basketball i think you

00:29:21.440 know this my wife i've talked to you about it my my stepdaughter uh was star third baseman two-time

00:29:26.880 ivy league champ very proud of her at harvard i love women's sports and i'm watching this woman

00:29:32.100 and my wife called it she says watch the jealousy charles barkley called it out the pettiness

00:29:38.560 it it it it's just men don't do that like i asked michael thompson he was in the nba

00:29:45.860 when magic johnson and larry bird came in 1979 1980 first year i said all right you're in the league

00:29:53.920 you're the first pick in the draft in 77 you guys jealous they go hell yeah yeah but we also knew

00:30:00.520 we got to prop these two up because it's going to make our league more money but the old guard

00:30:07.200 27 years this league has been around and nobody's paid attention to it they just couldn't stomach

00:30:14.000 this straight little white girl from iowa being the superstar and petty envy ego or jealousy petty 1.00

00:30:22.520 envy ego and pettiness got to them and they missed an unbelievable opportunity look riley if i'm

00:30:29.060 talking too much i'm sorry but the place would have been packed the gym would the they had the lowest

00:30:37.240 attendance of any game it would have been the most but the most eyes on women's basketball in the

00:30:42.060 history of the sport marketing matters performance matters sure and it's not like kate and clark can't

00:30:48.280 play you can make the argument she's best guard in the league right now so it's absurd to me riley

00:30:53.840 i'm sorry for filibustering right there no no well that's why i have you on because no one has the

00:31:00.500 knowledge and the perspective and the insight uh and the passion the passion that you do uh and yeah

00:31:06.600 so you speak of jealousy right from the players we've all seen the feud with angel reese uh or or even

00:31:13.120 jamel hill or joy reed or these women uh who say that caitlin clark has tall privilege which is the 1.00

00:31:20.100 silliest thing i've ever heard uh pretty privilege uh i haven't personally really heard caitlin clark

00:31:26.640 and pretty in the same sentence um straight privilege and um white privilege that that's what they say

00:31:35.420 caitlin clark has whatever i agree with you it basically amounts up um to jealousy yeah tell me 0.99

00:31:42.540 she she's got kick your ass privilege that's the privilege caitlin clark's got she showed and you 1.00

00:31:49.500 know what else she's got she's got she it is and she's got i understand my fans privilege i went to 0.96

00:31:55.420 a game uh a couple couples friends of mine in town so they gave us we went there and i swear to god i've

00:32:02.880 been to a lot of events and we got there an hour and a half early we're gonna have drinks and dinner

00:32:07.320 across the street from gainbridge field house and they have this area where kids play basketball next to it

00:32:11.800 and i've never seen in my lifetime even going to uh indianapolis colts game and peyton manning's

00:32:17.060 heyday when a lot of people wore number 18 jerseys riley i've never seen so many jerseys for one

00:32:23.980 person in my life i mean i i've never seen it like i'm talking about every little kid every adult

00:32:30.460 everybody was like a 22 iowa jersey a 22 fever jersey it was unbelievable and part of the reason is i

00:32:36.340 talked to the people with the fever is she's so accommodating to everybody else she's so gracious

00:32:41.400 with her time and i've also said this riley while everybody else is losing their mind you know we

00:32:46.840 had the creepy reporter here greg doyle that that uh you know asked her that and he's just a creep

00:32:53.000 of magnitude i can't even tell you but so many people around her have lost their mind and she

00:33:00.660 she handles everything perfect man she it's kind of like you you handle everything great while

00:33:07.400 everybody else is losing their mind calling you all this it's true seriously i pay attention to this 0.98

00:33:12.840 stuff i don't handle it well i fire back and people call them assholes whatever it is that's just you

00:33:17.600 know but you guys you were raised better than me you guys just handle it all man and it's it's fun to

00:33:23.920 watch she stays calm when everybody else is losing their mind that she does and i've never seen an

00:33:30.120 organization to your point self implode in the way that the wmba is doing now last thing i wanted to

00:33:37.980 get your thoughts on uh we saw news this week where harrison butker uh he agreed to a another massive

00:33:46.480 extension with the chiefs which to me it was like this awesome victorious story of of success with

00:33:56.680 which there's not a lot of those anymore but i saw the story and to me what it was was someone who had

00:34:01.600 successfully beat cancel culture uh we saw morgan wallen also at his concert uh walk out with with

00:34:08.580 harrison butker's jersey on i mean really great stuff and and personally looking at this i think this should

00:34:14.460 be encouraging to just your everyday person right your everyday person who who might have watched

00:34:20.580 harrison butker's commencement speech or who might see what's going on with with the olympics or what

00:34:26.520 have you um and know intuitively uh that what they're seeing isn't how the media is actually

00:34:33.980 portraying it uh this should be encouraging i believe to your everyday person what's your thoughts

00:34:40.280 i think it's very encouraging and i i gotta tell you that that you know when when serena williams 0.97

00:34:47.180 made those idiotic comments uh and then that little quinta bronson like we don't need you like now no 0.98

00:34:53.820 ever like now or ever well you don't you know since when is decency so out of vogue with nor like 1.00

00:35:03.040 celebrities like i i don't i don't understand it like what budker do he was at a catholic school

00:35:09.660 he's a catholic man giving christian speech about christian values that's what he did and that's

00:35:16.240 so horrible that what did that quentin brunson say like now like never oh shut up yeah just just shut 0.60

00:35:23.020 up harrison butker and and here's what happens though this is interesting so there's a guy that 0.72

00:35:28.400 was a long time guy um on espn his name is trey wingo and trey wingo went to a christian school

00:35:35.840 baylor so trey wingo has about a million followers on twitter this was his response i'm gonna read it 0.89

00:35:41.580 verbatim here i was trying to find it while i was talking this is response listen to how stupid this 0.95

00:35:46.340 is the harrison butker extension making him the highest paid kicker underscores the inherent truth 0.97

00:35:53.400 of the nfl the better you are at the job the more a team is willing to put up with pure and simple

00:36:02.720 what exactly did the kansas city chiefs have to put up with a christian man talking about family

00:36:11.160 a christian man suggesting to both men and women that you know starting a family can be as fulfilling

00:36:18.340 as a career that's so horrible it's like it's like jd vance with his uh family and his wife and kids

00:36:29.020 they call him weird i'm like well come on now right i mean what what are we talking about here

00:36:36.320 yes i hope harrison butker uh inspires others to be able to speak freely i'm just common d

00:36:42.640 i'm old enough to remember when talking about a wife and kids and talking about it lovingly and however

00:36:48.820 you want was a good thing was a decent thing was a praise thing now according to some guy well you

00:36:55.600 got to put up with stuff or well it's weird i'm telling you riley to me hearing what he just said

00:37:04.660 it sounds like he's describing meritocracy which is what we should be getting back to the better you

00:37:10.200 are at your job the more you get paid that's how it works um and so that's what he described that's

00:37:17.120 what he's denouncing and that's why we are in the decline that we are in where you have again whether

00:37:22.900 it's it's sports whether it's the the freaking fbi the secret service lady kimberly cheetle whatever

00:37:28.580 it is uh when you do not hire or you do not properly compensate or whatever the process is

00:37:35.400 on the basis of merit that is what you are subjecting yourself to so he described it perfectly

00:37:41.300 but can't get through his he did that's a great point i didn't think about it from that standpoint i 0.95

00:37:46.600 thought it more about what a jackass he is because i don't like him anyway but that's a different 0.58

00:37:51.460 story well you're the best dan uh always good insight always love chatting with you um and i 0.99

00:37:58.980 appreciate you it's again half the stuff i mean all we talked today i can't believe we even have to

00:38:04.680 spend our time talking about it but if i'm gonna talk about it with anyone i want it to be you so

00:38:10.300 thank you dan well that is the best uh most flattering thing i've heard in a long long i said that to you

00:38:16.280 the first time you came on my show i cannot believe this is what we're talking about i but thank you

00:38:22.900 for having me it's fantastic love talking to you riley have a great afternoon no doubt thank you make

00:38:28.420 sure everyone you go and check out dan's show uh thank you again for tuning in to

00:38:32.600 so

00:38:36.240 you

00:38:41.080 you
