Greg Wycliffe - Can you trust Rachel Gilmore？

Rachel Gilmore is a Canadian journalist who was fired from Global News after an article she wrote about a protest by a man who was marching against vaccine mandates. Since then, she has been spreading disinformation and spreading lies about people who don't exist. She has been a part of the Dominion Society of Canada, a group that promotes Canadian nationalism and remigration. She is a member of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network and the Canadian National Anti-Discourse Network.

00:00:00.000 If you've ever seen a video from this woman, Rachel Gilmore, you should probably know that

00:00:05.260 she does not have a great track record as a journalist and is extremely biased. I'm only

00:00:10.260 making this video because unfortunately her videos get a lot of reach and she's sort of

00:00:15.740 spreading disinformation and a lot of her content really doesn't age that well because she's not a 1.00

00:00:21.620 good journalist. See, Rachel here used to work for Global News and then Global News got served with 0.99

00:00:27.000 a notice of libel because of an article that she, Rachel Gilmore, wrote. You know how Canadians 0.99

00:00:32.820 love Terry Fox for trying to get across the country for his cause? Well, there's this person called

00:00:37.440 James Topp who during the COVID lockdowns was marching with a rucksack across the country

00:00:43.500 to protest vaccine mandates in the military, in the Canadian military. This man hiked across the

00:00:50.280 entire country in protest. In Rachel Gilmore's article, she hardly mentions that and just says,

00:00:56.840 oh, because he talked to a certain guy, he's a white supremacist. The URL of the article actually

00:01:02.940 included far-right white supremacist. If you know anything about how this works, that is actually

00:01:08.000 a very sneaky way to ruin someone's SEO anytime somebody looks up James Topp. They're not going to

00:01:14.180 find an article about someone who protested by marching across the entire country against vaccine

00:01:19.220 mandates. No, they're going to see Rachel Gilmore's article calling him a far-right white supremacist

00:01:24.180 based on some guilt by association. Again, if you're a true journalist, is this reporting the

00:01:29.220 news? Hardly even mentioning that he's protesting, marching across the entire country? Because it

00:01:34.380 really just seems like you're trying to call him racist and ignore the important facts. And another

00:01:39.080 thing Rachel Gilmore did during this era is she was on Global News encouraging people to not invite

00:01:44.920 their unvaccinated family members to dinner for Thanksgiving. Her content has not aged well. 0.94

00:01:50.340 There's also videos of Rachel Gilmore complaining about the trucker convoy in Ottawa and how it was

00:01:56.000 loud and everything. She was actually posting this on the Global News TikTok account. And someone pointed

00:02:02.040 out, wait, aren't you a journalist? Shouldn't you be like asking the protesters why they're there instead

00:02:07.240 of just kind of saying, I hate these people, they should leave? Again, if you're a real journalist, like

00:02:12.000 that's what you would do. Since being let go from Global News, Rachel Gilmore is associating with

00:02:17.300 another discredited organization, the Canadian Anti-Hate Network. And they love to do the same

00:02:21.100 thing, which is accuse people of being racist and homophobic and transphobic and not really go

00:02:26.560 into any of the details. Just kind of like smear people's reputation and move on. Real quality

00:02:31.440 journalism. She's going after a group that I'm a part of, the Dominion Society of Canada. We promote

00:02:36.760 Canadian nationalism and remigration. Here's a clip of her talking about us.

00:02:41.040 But who is a Canadian to these guys? And who is a foreigner? Well, according to their website's

00:02:46.580 definition, Canadians are the descendants of specifically English, French, Scottish, and

00:02:51.760 Irish pioneers, followed by further waves of European settlers. And they later specifically

00:02:58.200 define Canada's founding as a quote, historically European, Christian, and bicultural English and

00:03:04.300 French nation. I think you can probably read between the lines there. She's basically implying

00:03:09.960 because we are repeating historical facts about Canadian history that, oh, oh my God, they're

00:03:16.520 racist. No, we simply know what Canadian history is. What? But reporting facts and information isn't

00:03:23.140 really Rachel Gilmore's strong suit. She got a segment on CTV all about fact-checking during one

00:03:28.420 of the last elections, and she got let go after a single segment. Rachel argues she only got let go of

00:03:33.580 this segment because of mean conservatives online. But realistically, she has a really bad track record

00:03:40.080 and reputation and is kind of the epitome of being biased. That's not someone who wants to be a fact

00:03:45.680 checker during an election. It's just obviously clearly not a good pick for CTV. And unfortunately,

00:03:51.220 instead of Rachel trying to rehabilitate her actual reputation as a good journalist to try and be more 0.56

00:03:56.440 fact-based and objective, she's kind of continued down the same path, being extremely biased. But to show just

00:04:02.980 how extremely biased this person is, there was one of the deadliest shootings in Canadian history that

00:04:09.320 happened just recently. The perpetrator did happen to be trans or identifying as a woman, even though

00:04:16.300 they were a biological male. The very next day, Rachel Gilmore did a live streaming, doubling and 0.97

00:04:23.140 tripling down, literally saying that I am the problem. I am a violent threat. People like me are the

00:04:29.360 violent. I think that it's important for people to shake that and understand that like the biggest

00:04:32.920 threat, the biggest terrorist threat in this day and age is coming from a bunch of white dudes who 0.99

00:04:38.580 are insecure and who poo-poo in their panties whenever they see a person of color. So I don't know, 1.00

00:04:46.740 that's uh, yeah. I was just completely astroturfing the idea that there's a pattern here with shooters

00:04:54.540 being transgender. And folks, this really is disturbing because, because maybe you don't 1.00

00:04:59.140 agree with my politics and whatever, but because of Rachel Gilmore constantly banging the drum and 1.00

00:05:05.760 trying to demonize me, ironically or coincidentally, the people who are mentally ill, maybe they happen 0.71

00:05:12.660 to be transgender, they are going to be targeting people like me because of what Rachel Gilmore is 0.97

00:05:18.800 saying. The biggest terrorist threat in this day and age is coming from a bunch of white dudes. 0.99

00:05:23.540 So it's ironic because she is pushing a message saying that I am spreading misinformation and 0.99

00:05:28.420 I am spreading hate and I'm going to get people killed when in reality, no, it's really, it's really

00:05:33.500 you, Rachel. It's really you demonizing people like myself who have not committed any crime, 0.79

00:05:38.320 simply stating historical facts, simply being concerned about worrying trends having to do with

00:05:43.780 mental health and transgenderism. But you don't care about those facts. Just kind of like during 0.93

00:05:49.060 COVID, you didn't really care if the vaccine worked or not. You didn't really care if James Topp or any

00:05:55.060 of the people protesting at the Trucker Convoy had a point or not, even though those mandates are gone.

00:05:59.660 No, you were just kind of there to shill a specific narrative on a specific topic and

00:06:04.320 demonize people like me who are largely opposing the popular status quo that the government promotes.

00:06:11.440 So is Rachel Gilmore a quality journalist or is she just shilling her extremely biased opinion

00:06:17.580 to support a specific agenda?
